We drive by this place pretty frequently and finally decided to stop by. I'm definitely glad we did. The ambiance of this place is chill. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! They have oysters on their happy hour menu and some crispy brussel sprouts, which hit the spot for our group. The entrees also varied at our table from the Humboldt Burger to the NY strip. Dessert was 🔥! I love apple pie. Just look at my video below... Everyone enjoyed their meal. Lastly, they have a great drink selection. Whether it's wine, beer, or martinis, they have it all. Our group had an awesome evening and we will be back very soon!

Wonderful place situated in a nice quaint neighborhood. I only was able to try the shareable crispy Brussels and charred octopus but oh man, so good! The Brussels served is a mountain of food and very tasty! Nice and crispy even though they have some caramelization. The octopus was cooked perfectly as well and the potatoes surrounding the octopus were seasoned perfectly and had a nice crunch. Very well done dishes and I can't wait to try more on the menu the next time I visit. Staff were also very pleasant!

Was very happy to visit Humboldt while visiting Denver, CO for the first time. The atmosphere was nice. I believe there is street parking but we took a Lyft. We came for Saturday brunch and sat on the patio. Our server was really sweet and attentive. Our dishes were amazing. We were stuffed and there are some creative cocktails on the menu. There’s a lot of seating available inside and out. It’s a nice family environment and good for a date night. Restrooms are clean and we were greeted and sat quickly. Very memorable.

Met up with some friends over the holidays here and it was a great experience. This place has been an original staple of the 17th street scene and really specializes in fish dishes. That said, we actually didn't order any fish dishes, it was lunch time and I was craving the cheese steak while my fiance was craving the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Both dishes were pretty tasty, our server Blaire was also really attentive, nice, and knowledgeable, thank you Blaire!

Google
Amazing drinks and food! Our server was very kind and attentive! Along with the host. I did not realize how spacious the space is either!! I was hesitant to try the charred octopus because I’ve only ever had good octopus once. It was amazing!!

A lovely neighborhood gem at East 17th and Humboldt Street (hence the name) with a casual and upscale interior, great food and friendly, attentive service. Went as a party of two on a Sunday evening for dinner and was seated in the atrium area in the back, which was lit nicely by the afternoon sun without the heat. Had the risotto and sole (both nice dishes), glass of wine and calamari appetizer, with sambal aioli, also very nice. Nice place for a date night with my wife. Plenty of tables and seats inside, and patio seating as well. Parking is meter parking on the street Recommended!

Google
We were pleasantly surprised by Humboldt! Whoever the head chef is..... Kudos. Because this menu absolutely spectacular. We had a bunch of appetizers and let me tell you.... They were SO GOOD. The octopus was so en Pointe! The spicy ceviche (cod based) was very very tasty as well. The Brussel sprouts were surprisingly tasty as well. They even made for delicious leftovers. Damian was our server and he was awesome. Excellent menu knowledge. The atmosphere of the place was also quite nice. Usually we don't go back to the same place twice but we will be returning to try the entrees! Update 2/18/2023 - still amazing as the last time we went here! Food is still amazing, customer service is still excellent, atmosphere is lovely. We tried entrees this time and it was so delicious! The pork ribs were extremely fork tender! The crème brûlée was to die for! Update 8/19/2023 - sad to learn Humboldt Kitchen is closing due to a disagreement with the landlord and owners. We dined here last night for the last time. Everything, as usual, was delicious and amazing. Our server, Victoria, was also a lot of fun. We are going to miss coming here. It's been our favorite place to dine in and Humboldt is going to be very missed!

Google
When I say meat that falls off the bone this is it. Saint Louis style ribs were so tasty I lick my fingers in public and didn't care. I also had a taste of my friend's risotto which was excellent never had that before. 5 stars to our server 5 stars for atmosphere and 5 stars for food. 1st time dining here will definitely return. Recommend this establishment

I'm beyond sad they're closing - best happy hour in Denver! The food is delicious The wine choices -superb

Yelp
Humboldt is a neighborhood staple; I've easily been here a dozen times over the years since moving to the area. And I've always found it to be a solid, reliable choice when you need a nice place to eat. The service is typically more experienced than your average restaurant, and things tend to run smoothly, even if not always perfect. While they changed their name awhile back to be more broad in terms of cuisine, fish is still where they excel in my opinion. Their menu changes frequently, so if you're a fan of a particular seafood, the preparation styles will rotate so that you can eat your salmon or trout in a different way. I appreciate that, though sometimes all the variation can make decisions and predictability harder. (Case in point, the recent disappointing version of burrata). They make a tasty octopus appetizer if that's your thing, and typically have a good oyster selection (though that has declined somewhat in terms of execution post-Covid in my opinion). They offer a robust wine list, and a variety of cocktails. (Current recommendation: Watermelon Spritz!) The patio at Humboldt is probably one of my favorite places; their setup was previously really quite nice, but recently they added solar shades over top as well as misters, so you can really withstand the Colorado heat without skipping a beat.

Yelp
I have been going to Humboldt for YEARS for their wine dinner ($45 for wine + food tastings) and I have to say it's gone downhill. It used to be $35 and has gradually gone to smaller portions, smaller pours, and high prices and it's really not a deal anymore. The wine is often (tested from several dinner) uneven pours where my partner gets quite a bit more than me or vice versa. The pours are WAY smaller then they used to be and the food is hit or miss (half the time cold when it's not supposed to be, super small portions, or just not that good). I have gone for about 7 years and I'm not sure I will be be going back. I will say their regular dinner menu is superb though. My review is truly only for the wine dinners.

Yelp
This is the spot if you are in uptown for a date night. New York Strip* And a mac and cheese with sausage The food is excellent! The host are the friendliest neighbors, they treat you like family. If you live near by ask about discounts!

Yelp
We arrived and was seated immediately. The decor was gorgeous! Such a beautiful aesthetics. The ambiance was very relaxing. Our waitress provided excellent service. It was as she could anticipate our needs before I could ask her for anything. We ordered a cup of the spicy chicken tortilla soup, 1/2 dozen raw oysters, avocado and shrimp botanas as appetizers and shared the New York strip steak which was served with fingerling potatoes but we substituted the fingerling potatoes for the Yukon gold mashed potatoes. We order a side of grilled asparagus to accompany the entree. We enjoyed our every part of the meal. For drinks we had the blueberry cilantro margarita and the sparkling rose. Both were delicious. This restaurant surpassed our expectations. We would love to eat here again anytime we are in the Denver area.

Yelp
On our Denver vacation we came across Humboldt and it looked good. Overall it was a nice experience. The restaurant itself was a bit of a walk for us but nestled in a cute neighborhood among other restaurants. Everyone was pleasant. The building was nice enough--not crazy amazing but certainly not unkempt. Dinner was good. We tried the filet, which was cooked to proper temp and tasty. The mashed potatoes were smooth and well-seasoned and delicious. The vegetarian risotto was tasty but slightly under-seasoned. Very cheesy and warm and welcoming. The real stars here were the appetizers: crispy broccoli was just so much better than we imagined it could be and we regularly eat broccoli. Lightly dusted with batter and served with a delicious aioli it was a real hit. We also ordered a fries side dish and it was also delicious. Would we return? Maybe. The food was competent and good. It just wasn't super unique except for the broccoli. On a vacation with limited choices, I'm not sure if the positives would be enough. If we lived in Denver? We'd probably consider it again. Solid restaurant. Good food. Just not a destination.

Yelp
Their happy hour is until 6, Monday thru Friday and a great deal. Most apps are about 50% off the normal rate. We got too excited for those and forgot to take pictures but really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. The mahi mahi was some of the best flavor I have had here. The sauce was by far the best part and a decent size for a little left overs the next day. My SO got the burger and thought it was pretty good, nothing too special. During happy hour, our waiter wasn't the most attentive but also, happy hour was busy so not a big deal. Post happy hour, much more attentive and checked in on us more. The overall vibe of the place is great. Love the view of the kitchen and the bar setting is very pretty. Our pours were FAT and well worth the cost of a glass of wine. Overall, would def come back for happy hour and dinner again. Felt the price and food quality were pretty aligned.

Yelp
The fresh and seasonal ingredients are bursting all over this menu. The chef does an incredible job serving delicious food that lets the ingredients shine. It's a shame they are closing, I am rooting for them to find a new location because Denver needs this restaurant!!

Kady L.

Yelp
WOW! FOOD is amazing! The quality and taste is definitely up there. Thank you for existing. Our waiter was super helpful and sweeet. She helped us with the menu and let us know what she liked the best. Also was very personable when a friend asked her about her top and she was willing to take a picture of her tag. What a person! She goes above and beyond. It was our birthdays and she offered us dessert that was very nice gesture. Couldn't say enough good things about this place. Can't go wrong with any order. Thank you!!!!

Yelp
Humboldt is three minutes from me and I have been there many times for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and wine tastings. The wine tastings have always included a generous selection of appetizers and have been set in a private room closed off from the restaurant so there is no background noise to drown out the wine expert. These events lost their appeal for me, though, well before the pandemic when Humboldt consistently overbooked the space. We were literally sitting elbow to elbow at my final event when the stout gentleman next to me knocked a full glass of wine into my lap. I was not amused. Our most recent visit was for happy hour and we sat at the small bar. The bar is tucked into a corner and provides a little oasis from the activity of the rest of the space. It's also fun to watch the busy and efficient bartenders at work. The happy hour menu had a number of new items. We tried the Mini Crab Cakes, the Arancini, and the Ground Filet Slider. The crab cakes were small, but very tasty. They sat on mixed greens and came with a goat and cream cheese Mornay sauce plus a Calabrian chili aioli. Very nice. The arancini featured herbed goat cheese and came on a large platter of romesco sauce with parmesan. The sauce was delicious and there was a generous amount which I also enjoyed with the other items we had ordered. I wasn't sure what to expect from "ground filet," but it was actually chopped filet. The white cheddar, black pepper aioli, and onion straws all complimented the beef nicely. We washed all of this down with a Murphy-Goode pinot noir from California that provided an excellent accompaniment. We somehow found room for dessert. Humboldt has always made a great Key Lime pie and we tried that. It did not disappoint. This was a very nice happy hour. The food was plentiful and tasty and the prices were very reasonable.

Yelp
We had a wonderful Christmas eve dinner for the 5 of us here at Humboldt Kitchen. Wonderful warm ambiance with an open kitchen. Great personable service. Delicious food.... I should have followed the late great Tony Bourdain's suggestion and passed on the specials. The Cowboy ribeye was pricey and not worth it for the price to quality. That being said everything else was amazing: Highlights??? Fantastic crispy buffalo cauliflower, crispy broccoli ( the BEST I have ever had), amazing Trout dip that with the homemade chips. Mezzo Mezzo: Crispy Sushi rolls ( leave that to the sushi places ) and the Burrata ( which I thought lacked flavor). Wonderful entrees: Great burger ( both real meat and impossible) and the ribs. Crème Brulé was perfection Nice cocktail list and solid wine list. Seriously you cannot go wrong here for dinner.

Frankie P.

Yelp
Look like a very good breakfast place to eat at... I thought I can try this for lunch..... Both ladies were extremely polite. So I tried the ham and cheese croissant. Mmmmmm sounds good.. I received piping hot.... Bit into it and ran in to problems

Krissy S.

Yelp
Humboldt is one of those places that always surprises me with really good food. The atmosphere isn't really anything that unique and the service is usually fine but the food...I always leave happy. From happy hour to the regular menu, I've always really loved everything we've ordered. For a full review, visit my blog at thatboujeebohemian.com

Yelp
We tried Humboldt Kitchen + Bar because we had the passport book that allowed you one entree free if you buy another. The energy in the restaurant was energetic and looked like a hot spot in the neighborhood. I do recommend reservations if you go during the weekend. The oysters were good , but the shrimp tacos were delicious. The green salas packed a punch. Will definitely go back to try their bru

Yelp
This place is fantastic - love the location, reasonable price, great food, and the service / management is amazing. We have been several times and have tried pretty much the whole menu - nothing has disappointed. One time our appetizer took a second to come out but the manager came by to check how everything was (as they always do). Upon hearing they made everything right and provided ample accommodations to make up for it. Top notch service, great food, perfect atmosphere/location - I don't know what I could take a star off for. Parking can be a challenge. I recommend Lafayette st (one block to the west, very short walk). This will let you avoid valet, and as long as it's not weekend brunch time there should be ample parking.

Yelp
I'm bonkers over this restaurant! Fabulous evening! This place has it together!! It was service excellence with the entire production. Think 20th century type of service. It used to be when you dine, you felt good about being out and being taken care of. Appreciated. It's not just about the food. Places have closed. I'm happy I found Humboldt Kitchen. The team leader has infused the passion for excellent service into the staff! Delicious trout! Victoria our wait person described the dishes with such enthusiasm! We loved the detail. She is a pro. Made it fun too! But everyone we came into contact seemed absolutely jazzed we were there!?!? WOW! Who does that anymore?? Thank you-thank you! Huge thanks to the chef and back room staff. The fish was clean and so delicious. We also rocked out on the apple pie. It was glorious! Get out and try it. We need more places that are old school.

Savannah K.

Yelp
Very fun ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food. So many great options on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order. Servers kept passing with other tables' plates & they ALL looked delicious. Definitely want to go back to try some other items.

Brittany R.

Yelp
Got to go to Humboldt for a networking happy hour. It was very crowded when we got there but they were very accommodating to our group. I got the fried green tomatoes which were very good and the basil martini was very light if you're going to go to happy hour I would suggest getting there early because for a Wednesday, it was quite busy but overall the experience was nice!

Devon T.

Yelp
I rarely give five stars but this place deserves ten starts. Our server, Jacob, was amazing. He had excellent suggestions and was very knowledgeable. The menu is diverse and the price point is spot on. The portions are generous. The atmosphere was incredible. This place hit every check mark for being remarkab

Yelp
We sat outside for dinner once and it was a really good meal! We tried their smoked burrata which I have never had a bad experience with a burrata dish and this was not the exception. Sooo good! Their crispy Brussel sprouts were good as well. The burger was really good as well (well cooked and well seasoned). The server was amazing and knew the menu very well! Will come back!

Joanna C.

Yelp
We came around 10am on a Saturday. We were originally trying to go to Onefold, but it was very busy so we walked next door to Humboldt since they didn't look busy at all. When we got there, we realized it was more of an upscale restaurant and we were in more casual attire. The host asked if we were "walk ins" even though the restaurant was almost completely empty. This made us feel a certain way, but she seated us shortly. Our server was super friendly and had gave us recommendations! They had a separate daily menu which we ordered the crab cake benedict off of (one of the items the server recommended). Our food came out very quickly and the portions were good. The server also asked if we needed hot sauce and brought out Tabasco and chalula :). However, the pricing is on the more expensive side for breakfast, each dish was around $20. They also don't have many options for brunch... no pancakes or waffles :(. Both dishes were very aesthetic and decent portions, but on first taste we were fairly disappointed. Everything was very bland... the potatoes did not taste like they had a single grain of salt and the short ribs in the hash had no flavor. The texture of the potatoes were really good, it just lacked flavor. The crabcake benedict was pretty good (I think the hollandaise and roasted tomatoes contributed to most of the flavor). After adding hot sauce to everything, the food was edible, but it was disappointing that we had to douse everything in hot sauce. The interior is very nice, but we found it a little weird that the brunch customers were seated in a different part of the restaurant instead of the main part of the restaurant. Overall, I would give the service a 5/5 and the food a 3/5. I hope that the food is better for lunch and dinner, but we will not come back for breakfast.

John H.

Yelp
I visited during happy hour and I thought they had a good selection of beverages. I liked the elderflower basil cocktail more than I thought I would. Normally, I steer away from floral sweet drinks but this one felt right for a spring day. I ended the rounds with a Bourbon Moscow Mule, and the drinks were the winner of the day. For the happy hour menu, I suggest the non-meat items. Both for price and a satisfying bite. The sandwiches were small. The patio got full when I left. It was a bit too sunny for me. They are supposed to have new happy hour offerings at $4., which I think is more appropriate if the portions remain the same. They have other specials like Tues. for Health Professionals and a Weds. Prime RIb.

Sandee M.

Yelp
We were looking for a casual dinner place and found Humboldt Bar that fit our needs perfectly. The service was great and the food was just what we were looking for. Our starters included some cocktails (of course) and a dozen oysters (kumamoto and an east coast brand) along with charred octopus and an iceberg wedge salad to share. Everything was deliciously gobbled right up! We ordered the humboldt burgers and cheesesteak. All sandwiches were done just right and accompanied by scrumptious fries.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Hey hey! I don't usually give out five stars but this place really deserved it. Service was absolutely great. We came in, and were seating and had drinks in our hands in less than, I'd say, 5 minutes. Our waiter, who's name I forget, was freaking great as well. Explained everything on the menu and let us know about things that people don't usually like, aka mushrooms. We grabbed small salads as our appetizers, the Humboldt and a Ceasar salad. Both were great. I grabbed the burger after I was told it won some kind of award. It won over my stomach, that's for sure. It was so tasty, and not messy - I appreciate that so much. I could pick up the burger without it being a mess all over the place. She grabbed the stuffed chicken. I liked it, she liked it. Win win. For dessert we had the Sizzling Apple Pie with Salted Caramel ice cream. Dang. So good. I wish I had gotten my own serving. All of it was so good. I'll be back 100%.

Dana W.

Yelp
Prime Rib Wednesday was perfection! $35 for an amazing cut! We splurged and had the chocolate fondue and all I can say is yummmmmy!!! Great patio so sit outside and enjoy the sights! It is a little pricey so be prepared!

Theresa H.

Yelp
We were having a rough day, clothes stolen from TSA, funeral etc. we popped in hadn't eaten all day and we were so humbled by the amazing experience we had at your restaurant. The chef and Damien were so very kind. The service Damien gave to us was fantastic and the food top notch. We will definitely be back and I've already told my friends what a wonderful time we had. Cheers Robert & Theresa

Yelp
I've been to Humboldt for both brunch and recently for dinner as well and both have been above and beyond. Brunch I tried their french toast which was the best thick-sliced brioche perfectly browned on the outside but still tender inside. Paired with lemon mascarpone, berries, salty-sweet crispy bacon and truly crispy potatoes. I loved how this sweet breakfast had a great balance of salty components. Super hearty and great for sharing.  Dinner here was a blast. Drinks and service were both great. As for the food-- I can't wait to go back.  Calamari: was lightly breaded and thoroughly crispy topped with charred shishito peppers and a sambal aioli Charred octopus: tender octopus with a savory crispy pairing of chorizo on a base of buttery soft potatoes Special-- saffron risotto with scallops. The texture of the arborio rice was perfect and the saffron flavor was just right. The mushrooms were fresh and the scallops on top were some of the most tender I've had in awhile. Risotto is so easily over-salted/overly rich, but everything in this dish was well-balanced I loved it Swordfish--the fish had a very fine texture and was thoughtfully paired with arugula and a earthy sweet parsnip mash that really stood out from typical 'meat & potatoes' fare.  Dessert--save room!!! we had the breck apple pie that comes in a piping hot cast iron pan topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. The bourbon maple glaze is poured on tableside and produces a pleasant sizzle in the pan. There's nothing like that hot/cold balance of crusty pie with ice cream. The crust had the perfect shattering crunch and the filling was delicious--perhaps would have been better with more apples, but really no complaints

Russell S.

Yelp
What a great spot. The food, atmosphere, and service all top-notch. The service was consistent and the food delicious. The fish is super fresh and the salads are crispy and spot on. Patio dining is superb here. Definitely try the steel head trout you won't be disappointed.

Lisa B.

Yelp
This place is really good for happy hour. Got the oysters and they were so good. Usually I'm iffy with oysters and only order one or two but this time i got 4. Everything else was tasty and service was great

Jim S.

Yelp
Had dinner there last night to celebrate our son's birthday. We had reservations, which I would advise, at least on a Saturday night. Our server was very attentive, and very friendly. We skipped the appetizers, although a few looked tasty. They have a small rotating craft selection, although several more local crafts in bottles/cans. We had the NY strip, barramundi, and the Humboldt salad/w chicken as our entrees. The steak was big and made to order. It came with a beautiful stack of sliced potatoes, with cheese sauce over them (au gratin). The salad was good, but the chicken was a little dry. The barramundi was amazing. It came served over diced potatoes mixed with olives, capers, and sliced pepperoncini. It was amazing. Had a little spice to it, which I loved. It came with a spring salad served in a thin crispy baguette made into an edible tower. Looked and tasted amazing. I wish I had take a picture to share. For dessert, don't miss the sizzling apple pie skillet. It's made to share. Served sizzling, in a cast-iron skillet, with choice of two ice creams on top. Amazing and don't miss it! Overall, great meal and I highly recommend it. Also, they have a nice outdoor patio, when the weather is right.

Taylor W.

Yelp
What a tasty place with big portions and great scenery! There's a TON of space here with great indoor and outdoor seating options. There's a bar area for smaller groups and plenty of space on the outdoor patio. I've enjoyed their happy hour and dinner options (the crab cakes and garlic fries are a must!) but be careful about getting too attached to a dish as they offer a seasonal menu. The dish you loved may not make it on the new menu. I've also tried their brunch but was less in love with these options. The service has always been great! There was even a time when we had to wait a good while for our appetizers, and the manager came by and gave us a few coupons to use in the future. Recommend checking this place out for dinner dates or just friends grabbing drinks!

Alissa R.

Yelp
Humboldt Kitchen is one of my favorite go-to restaurants. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely impeccable. Sometimes I feel like this place is a bit of a secret because it's nested in west uptown, so not as busy as some other neighborhoods in Denver. They specialize in seafood, but have a variety of delectable items on their menu. One of my favorite appetizers is the smoked burratta, paired with spicy capicola, toasted baguettes and this amazing tomato and fig jam that has hints of cumin, chipotle or something deliciously spicy. I recently came here for my birthday and ordered the trout with roasted tomatoes, grits. haricots and a lovely beurre blanc sauce. The dish was perfect dish! What I love most about this place is how easy it is to get a reservation. That's what makes it one of my go-to spots.

Mike P.

Yelp
As usual, Humboldt was fantastic this past Sunday. Our amazing server, Victoria from Mizzou, was on point and couldn't have been sweeter. The food is great and the atmosphere is cozy and clean. Thanks again to the crew at Humboldt!

Frankie C.

Yelp
Ok so for those of you who want a straight to the point review, scroll on because I've got a lot to unpack here and it's all amazing but it will not be concise. There. Now. I've eaten at Humboldt before and the food and service has always been on point. Excellent. Tonight my partner and I decided to hit the date night and make a reservation on a Saturday. Usually we avoid weekends because it's deranged out here in the Wild West but this weekend no, we are committed. We arrive and it's very busy but the manager and host made sure we were seated straight away. Drinks and water were served asap rocky by Alexa. Awesome. Now here's the part where it gets meaningful and packed for me. I have recently started eating meat again for the health reasons (no judgment toward vegetarians, I got you cuz I was one for over 10 years and anyone can eat how they want). I have intense fear eating meat and I don't like the texture. Whatever lol it's complex but the point is that for me meat is uncharted territory. Well I decided tonight that I would order the stuffed chicken breast. I have not ordered anything remotely similar to that at a restaurant in over a decade, so I was squirming in my seat waiting for my entree to come. Very nervous. Well folks it showed up, I take a bite, and this crap is pure heaven!!! I cannot believe I've been missing out on this beautiful food for so long. I ate the entire chicken breast and almost the entire plate. Wow. What a great reintroduction to a meat-centric dish. I now feel inspired to start trying to cook chickens in my own home. Seriously if anyone out there reading this feels off-put by meat or scared of it like me, this is the place to try it. My partner got the filet mignon and she doesn't typically order beef foods either but she loved it. This was an excellent night for both of us and we are very grateful and inspired by Humboldt kitchen. We will be back a million more times. Xoxo thank you Humboldt

David M.

Yelp
I hadn't visited this restaurant in several years & was pleasantly surprised. Food & drinks were great as was ambiance & service, which was fast & unobtrusive. We had Dover sole, Humboldt cheesesteak & Mediterranean steak. All were well prepared & delicious. The atmosphere was upbeat but not too noisy. Highly recommended.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
We love this restaurant. The ambiance is so enjoyable. It's a beautiful place yet very comfortable and relaxed. We sat at the bar and had great wine, a few oysters, and the best crispy Brussels sprouts I have ever had. The Scallop pasta, served over Fettuccine with roasted tomatoes, mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce was so flavorful...SUPERB DISH! My husband ordered the bone in pork chop, he LOVES pork chops. It was a very tender and flavorful cut. The BBQ sauce that was slathered on the top actually detracted from the chop. Wouldn't recommend the pork chop for that reason (or ask for BBQ sauce on side).

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place more stars!! Had a great time at Humboldt and will definitely be back! Their happy hour is one of the best I've found in Denver! For starters their house marg is AMAZING! The oysters are cheap and flavorful. The sliders were so good along with both the fries and the tatchos. The espresso martini wasn't my favorite, I don't love creamy tasting ones though so if you do then it's right to your alley. The s'mores dessert was one of the best desserts we've ever ordered! I've never seen something like it at a restaurant before so it's definitely something everyone needs to try! The location is in a cute little area near the city and the inside is a very chill environment. We will definitely be back, thanks Humboldt!!!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Great service and great food! Lindsey, our server and her support team were very attentive. The manager checked in on us numerous times which was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I had the steelhead trout and it was perfectly prepared like I wanted. The prime rib was super yummy according to my family. The desserts were very impressive. We will be back!

Yelp
Food is touted as "everything on the menu is really good" when asked what on the menu was best. The trout dip and smoked burrata dishes were super good! The poached pear salad could have used some goat or blue cheese crumbles w a spot of balsamic reduction on top. The steelhead trout w grits was amazing! Mahi mahi went home w me bc I was already full w what we ate before. Nice wines and after dinner drinks. Good place to try multiple times! Ambiance is great and servers are above par!

Yelp
Beautiful establishment that provides a lot of seating. We planned a Sunday brunch with 20 people. Weirdly enough they split the tables in 2 different areas so we were split up. It ended up being a table of 10 and one of 6. We could have easily all fit but weirdly enough they decided to split it up. Service was good and very friendly and professional. However it seems maybe understaffed as it was a little slow. Orders were taken 40 minutes after arrival. Then they did come out pretty fast. I left 2h later. My dish was ok. I chose the chilaquiles but first asked if it was spicy and they said no however for me it was too spicy. So I wish I didn't pick it. Portions also vary depending on what dish you get. The French toast for example is an enormous portion. Everyone else really loved their food. The burrito looked amazing so did the eggs Benedict. The loaded hash browns looked great too. If I ever come back it would not be for the brunch menu but I'd like to try their dinner items. Not a bad experience but also not impressed either. But recommended for groups. Great outdoor seating too. Very family and kids friendly.

Yelp
Went for dinner using the Denver Date Night app offer. Buy one entree get one free up to $22 value. There aren't many entrees that are priced below $25+ . Started with a nice house glass of Cabernet at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender wasn't very friendly unfortunately. Didn't have any other issues other then get service the rest of the visit. Started with the calamari appetizer which was very tasty and had a little bit of spice and kick to it. Server was really nice and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I had the Philly cheese steak meal with a Caesar side salad. It was decent. Not something I would likely order again, but still tasty and a large portion. We shared a great piece of key lime pie for dessert. The restaurant can be loud at times, and full of energy. We happened to be seated in the atrium room, next to the service door to the bar. Which made for a lot of employees passing through with stocking supplies of the bar in close quarters. The temperature back there is a little wacky too. Tucked in the corner with not much of a view it was either really hot or really cold. But, that's just a by product of that seating area. I would opt to sit in the main area of the restaurant if given the option. The management was very friendly, and went out of her way to call, and email me letting me know I had left my credit card on the table after leaving. Clearly they care about the customer and it showed. If I go back, I will request main area seating area, and will skip string at the bar if having to wait for the table again.

Yelp
Came for one of our last dinners when we were visiting the area and wish we had come sooner! The food was amazing - I ordered the bolognese. Brussel sprouts, fries, and oysters were all great too!! The ambiance inside was perfect - much bigger inside than I would have imagined just from walking by. There were so many other things on the menu I would have liked to try. Our waiter was friendly and everything tasted fresh! Carrot cake was delicious for dessert too!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my burger at the Humboldt Kitchen. My cocktail was pretty tastey also. The place is very cute inside and depending on your staff; you'll get good service. The price of my friend plate was a little steep but my burger was reasonable.

Yelp
Very friendly waiter and the food aesthetic is pretty solid. The broccoli appetizer was so tasty and crisp, it was possibly one of my fiancés favorite, definitely a must try for broccoli lovers (I'm just okay with it and I'm still in love with this dish!) My fiancé loved his entree and I enjoyed my pasta, but I bet something on the menu could be even better! Will come back to try other stuff.

Yelp
Came here on a whim last minute, so glad we found this place! Incredible service and food. Pictured are the stuffed chicken and the Korean BBQ Short rib. Delicious!

Yelp
Great spot for dinner and drinks. The shrimp tacos were great. I upgraded my fries to the garlic fries and would recommend.

Yelp
I had a few hours before I needed to head to the airport and decided to try this place for lunch. It wasn't too busy at around 12:30, maybe 5 tables occupied. I stood at the hostess table for about 5 minutes before being greeted. They seemed to be understaffed as I seemed forgotten at times during my meal. Had to wave down the waitress for a drink refill and my check. Thankfully I wasn't in a hurry. I started with the charred octopus. Amazing! Octopus, chorizo and potatoes... all my favorites in one dish. The octopus was grilled perfectly. For my entree I got the Tuna Salad. The tuna was fantastic and the salad was delicious.

Yelp
Great place for a group - we had a solid 20 people at our table and our server was great. We got two of all the appetizers and they were delicious. Tons of good things. Burrata, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, ceviche. Wine selection and beer selection was good. Cocktails looked good as well but I didn't have any. We got the cajun pasta and it was fire. highly recommend if you want a very creamy and carby/meat forward dish.

Yelp
Needed a place to have a quick drink and snack before a teaching lesson and found this little gem! Great atmosphere, friendly waitstaff and fun drinks and food. Had a lovely specialty martini and their HH prime rib sliders! Oh my goodness they were good. Hope to be back my in your neighborhood!
