My favorite restaurant. Humbowl is the go-to. It’s healthy AND incredibly delicious. Lots of options, yet so simple and easy to order. Very kind people working there. I recommend this place to my friends, family, and you.

Highly recommend Humbowl in Court in San Rafael! We had dinner there before a movie and were super impressed. I had the Thai Curry Bowl with shrimp and my husband had the Wellness Bowl with legumes. We are hard to please so this 5 star rating says a lot. Flavors were balanced, not too salty, or spicy. Lots of veggies and just the right amount of rice to complement. The shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly! The water was chilled and flavored with fresh mint and lemon, incredibly refreshing on what was a warm evening and we had walked down from our home on the hill.

We ordered a group meal from Humbowl for our elementary school teachers, and the whole experience was fantastic. The food was fresh, healthy, and exceptionally delicious. The team was incredibly accommodating, customizing everything to our needs. Communication was smooth and easy from start to finish. Humbowl cares about the community. They advocate for neurodiversity people and provided meals for kids affected by recent SNAP cuts. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both amazing food and real social impact. highly recommend Humbowl!

Then ...she goes on and on about the Humbowl and how great the food is, she must gave said "Spectacular and Amazing" a dozen times! On top of that she described everything she's eaten there, in detail. I finally said..Look lady all I want is a haircut okay! She must be related to the owner because that's the only reason a normal person would go on about a place to a total stranger, but in the end her trick played out, because I went and had an Amazingly Spectacular experience! ☆☆☆☆☆

We were looking for a quick, healthy place to eat, and Humbowl hit the spot. The bowls were large and packed with healthy veggies. The proteins were fresh, and the sauces were really what took it to the next level. The service was friendly, but the location itself isn’t that comfortable. I would order to-go next time.

as a vegetarian, I love this place! I've only ever ordered food, so I can't speak on the in-person experience. I love that I can order from here directly without needing to use a third party app. the bowls are consistently fresh, nourishing, and tasty. the sauces and seasonings are balanced, not too complex (which is sometimes exactly what I want!), and really let the quality of the ingredients shine.

Healthy and delicious. Clean. Fresh. Done to perfection. My dopamine receptors were firing throughout. I got the Integrate Nutrition. My wife added chicken and I tasted it. It was great—good enough to put on a skewer. The roasted sweet potatoes were a delicious addition.

Humbowl catered my wedding in October 2024! My husband and I couldn't be happier. Eric (one of the owners) let us do a free tasting, made a custom sauce for us, and was able to accommodate lots of vegetarians and vegans. They worked within the confines of the venue with no issues. They had never done a wedding before, but you couldn't tell at all. Humbowl was friendly, professional, organized, fast, and priced well. We got tons of compliments on the food; it was fresh and delicious. Thank you, Humbowl!! Look how spiffy they look in the catering attire!!

Still a winner. Fresh, healthy and fast. While not cheap - think about $15-$18 for a dish (with tax and tip), you leave feeling satiated, but not weighed down. I always opt for the dish with the most vegetables since they do them so well. Make sure to include some hot sauce to spice up the dish, as it leans a bit bland (I'd imagine because they keep additives to a minimum).

Fantastic bowls. Our favorite is the japanese togarashi bowl which comes with a delish green sauce and the mexican bowl. The tofu additions are generous and nutritious. The in-house spicy sauce goes well with it all, and they recently added these spice shakers that truly pack a punch. The side of garlic broccoli deserves a mention, if you got me craving broccoli, you've done something right. Their kitchen and hard working cooks are right behind the cashier and i'm keen on sneaking a look to see how someone can infuse broccoli with such rich flavor (and it's not overly greasy)

It is so terrific to know that everything I order at Humbowl is GLUTEN FREE! My fave is the Avocado Scrambowl with chef Miles Kline's new addition of a Tika Masala sauce. My preference is to 'eat in' at the College St address, but I could order to be delivered, or find a dish at both Berkeley Bowls. Everything is made to order and deliciously seasoned and the place is open everyday

Excellent, healthy, and nutritious food. Can't say enough about how sweet the staff are here. Prices are very affordable.

Vegetarian tofu dish. Good food and service. Quick. Staff explained very well. Ambiance is very clean.

So good and fresh! We bought 2 bowls for tasters for everyone in the family to try. It only took 12 minutes. Everyone wanted more food, so we ordered 3 more bowls and that was quick also.I love the variety of flavors. Humbowl, please add a new restaurant in Folsom, CA so we can visit weekly.

Came by for Sunday lunch with a friend and enjoyed the experience! I had the Togarashi 2.0 with mixed legumes, and it was so delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked, and everything was perfectly seasoned. The overall meal tasted so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The waiter was also very kind and provided us with cucumber infused water. Would definitely return again!

Light, healthy, and perfectly filling food here! The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is fresh. Also, the food has been consistently delicious each time I've eaten here. I've tried a couple of their bowls and I like them all!

Humbowl always exceeds my expectations. Every order tastes better than the last, and I am literally obsessed! The sesame jasmine bowl is incredible; it may look plain, but the flavors are so well balanced. I'm really impressed with their jasmine rice--it's cooked to perfection. Additionally, the side vegetables with curry sauce are creamy and delicious. I feel like I could eat their food every day without getting tired of it.

We enjoyed the bowls we got, Togarashi and Curry, and they seem pretty much as advertised on the menu so no surprises. The exception may be the "sauteed greens" which we thought there could have been more of. The portions were good for a lunch. The ginger flavored tea we got was lacking the ginger flavor so would skip next time. Good options to choose from but I don't know that anything drives me here because I sort of cook like this at home.

Very yummy, great indoor seating and natural lighting! Came here with a friend who has Celiac's so we wanted a place that had good gluten-free options. Both of us devoured our bowls and had a great catch-up session on life :) My bowl honestly surprised me at how delicious it was because of how simple it looked - very fresh, savory, and zesty! Make sure to try some of the house hot sauce if you get the chance as well. Friendly service, accommodating to special additions as well!

My absolute favorite restaurant. Healthy, delicious, real food, grilled up fresh right in front of you, with no corporate cost cutting economy-of-scale bullshit. They even sell sodas with only 6 grams of sugar per can. I eat here every chance I get. I can't find any other restaurants like this in the bay area.

I love that they celebrate neurodiversity as much as I do! The last time I stopped by they had a sign out front reading "Diversity includes neurodiversity" -- heck yeah it does! I also so appreciate restaurants that are 100% gluten free, knowing that I am safe to order anything on the menu without fear of cross contamination or a mixup. The food is tasty, too!

This was my second time at Humbowl. I enjoyed my first time here and needed to come back to try their other items! I got Thai curry with chicken per their recommendation for the most popular item. Everything was well-balanced and I loved the coconut curry sauce they had. The chicken was seasoned too salty unfortunately. I would have given 4 stars but the service I received was phenomenal. They asked if I needed to refill my water bottle when I was at the register (which I didn't need to at the time), and that was very kind of them! When dining in, they directed me to outlets and offered WiFi to me when I needed to get some work done. The food was finished so quickly and dropped off at my table before I could even take out my laptop and plug in my charger. After eating, they kindly took my plate away and asked again if I needed to refill my water bottle. Overall, the staff were very nice and the ambiance is pleasing. It was not busy when I went early morning and it is spacious as well. I'll be back again to try more items on the menu!

We stopped by on Sunday morning and it was very quiet. Once you step into the restaurant, the ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot for a relaxing morning meal. The employees were also very friendly and knowledgeable about the different bowls on their menu If you're in the mood for a breakfast that's both satisfying and healthy, look no further than Humbowl's Avocado and Chicken Sausage Scramble! From the moment you take your first bite, you'll be hooked. The creamy avocado perfectly complements the fluffy scrambled eggs, creating a delightful harmony of flavors. The portion size is generous, ensuring you leave feeling content without being overstuffed.

Amazing food! Very healthy and delicious! My favorite is the Thai Curry with chicken. Super nice staff as well! I have been sick for two years and the food here always makes me feel better. I feel healthier and have more energy after eating clean. I hope they open another Humbowl in the Southbay!

Come here if you're looking for a feel-good but delicious and filling meal. A bit on the pricier side for the portion but worth the try. Service is quick and friendly as well!

This place is so good. It's the healthiest food possible, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavor. We get the Brassica for Jassica, and a thai curry. They have all kinds of spicy additions. I love their gourmet pepper blends, each one is a hit. The food is extremely fresh, super healthy, and expertly delicious. Topping it off, the place is super quick and the people working are extra friendly. It's a great community spot for lunch, and we go out of our way to hit it. Can't wait to go back!

We tried humbled today and found out that this restaurant is delicious! Seems like people really take care in the preparation and ingredients of this food. Services unassuming, and friendly. Drinks are many they even have me brand iced teas, which is my favorite brand of tea. We will definitely recommend and come back to this restaurant. You order the front and have a seat.

I love this place so much! The food is fresh, delicious, and whole! They are super deliberate in all aspects, from being as waste free as possible, to hiring, to food sustainability and quality, *and* it's so so yummy! I come here more than any other restaurant in this neighborhood by far, at minimum I've been here a dozen times, amd it's a 5/5 every single time.

This place has easily become my favorite for a healthy and delicious lunch. I love how I can eat the whole serving and not feel guilty at the end. The bowls are tasty and have you feeling that eating out doesn't have to be a guilty pleasure. Everyone is super friendly here and always have good recommendations. You can't go wrong with the Thai Curry Bowl or the Togarashi Bowl. The curry is more of the "sauce", but you get a great mix of proteins, starch and greens. The togarashi bowl is a little more spicy and has a lot of beets for a tart flavor profile. I've tried the Brassica Bowl. It's very heavy on the balsamic / acidic flavors so it's not my favorite. Definitely come check it out! Parking can be tough but the walk is worth it!

Great spot to grab a quick bite that is healthy and filling. We tried two different bowls and both were delicious. The house made hot sauce was a great add on for a little spice!

I've been dealing with a gastric issue that has restricted my eating to basic fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. Having to prep all of my own stuff at home and not being able to eat my usual foods was really bumming me out. But yesterday I saw Humbowl on Instagram and realized it was a restaurant that serves mostly things I CAN EAT! I was in Berkeley today so I gave it a try and it's not just good, it's delicious! I got the Avocado Scrambowl, and every single element was savory and flavorful. Even the avocado was perfectly ripe. The potatoes especially were just super delicious. And it was amazing to be able to just order something straight off the menu without asking if I could get it without some things, or substitutions. Will definitely be coming back again! Also: thank you to the owner for hiring neurodiverse employees!

I trust this place to give me tasty healthy food. They had a sign that said, "our restaurant is designed to be the next step in better eating for our bodies and our planet". I'm usually skeptical when restaurants make health claims. Like I've seen so many commercials about Chipotle's "real" ingredients. They seem to take a lot of pride in using real ingredients. I assumed that's the bare minimum of what a restaurant should do. I'd never expect a restaurant to spend a bunch of money promoting that they do the bare minimum. Anyway, Humbowl's food truly did feel like real healthy ingredients. Will definitely come back!

If you're a Berkeley resident who's never been to Humbowl, your visit is LONG overdue. Humbowl offers what I would best describe as Californian cuisine: healthy dishes made with high-quality, sustainable ingredients. While some turn their nose up at fad health-food, Humbowl just might be the one exception. Their healthy spins on delicious dishes like scrambles and Thai curries are all crowd-pleasers, and surprisingly, they won't break the bank! Their meals are decently priced given the quality of ingredients and the generous portions. Usually, I'm pretty skeptical of 5 star reviews (as unintuitive as that sounds) since a whopping 100% almost seems too good to be true. It's safe to say that Humbowl deserves every star they own; with stellar service, more than delicious food, and fair prices, there's really nothing more you can ask!

Ordered for the first time and was humbowl'd away! The food came still warm and was fresh and fragrant, not to mention healthy -- it ticked all the boxes, even the weird individual ones: I'm Celiac; my body cannot have gluten. But this meal was delicious and safe both, and I feel ready to tackle the rest of my workday now. Thanks to the team at Humbowl for creating a food experience I too can partake in!

A friend introduced me to this establishment. Oh boy am I glad he did. Depending on my mood I order the Brassica with no tomatoes & sometimes quinoa or the wild rice. Don't forget to ask for a side of hot sauce. Every time I come here the food is 10/10. The service is always A1, always friendly people. The ambiance gives a small cafe vibe. I have seen people come here for food & bring their laptop to get some work done. Def recommend that.

Healthy, mean, green meal that is super savory and flavorful in every bite!! yumm that is my definition of humbowl! Never had anything quite like it either, truly the first of its kind! They have a great selection of bowls you can chose from from bfast scrambles to their entree bowls. They also do have salad and a nice selection of sparkling water that I found very delish! I ended up trying their humbowl the vera cruz one with 2 sparkling waters. I got the guava and another flavor, wish I would have got more since they were that good! The vera cruz had the perfect amount of veggies, rice, and protein. i did ask for extra sauce since I'm a saucy girl. Sure glad I did since that verde sauce is quite something special! its spicy but very good to my liking! Service is great! I ordered ahead and my order was ready upon pick up. Staff is friendly and they have a nice seated area for those who would like to dine inside. Can't wait to come back for my next visit soon!

Great food and great service. Total spend for 3 bowls and 2 drinks was $56. Definitely a hole in the wall cozy type of place. Would definitely come back. Light and refreshing.

A true five-star experience. And those are rare. Humbowl is a relatively recent addition to College Avenue in Elmwood, having arrived in February 2022. They make wholesome, healthy foods that excel in flavor and deliciousness. Their "humbowls" are served with 1) choice of protein, including shrimp, chicken, sausage, legumes like lentils and garbanzo beans, and organic fried eggs; 2) brown rice and organic red quinoa; 3) a bunch of healthy veggies, including garlic mushrooms, zucchini, sautéed greens, red beets, broccoli, roasted cauliflower, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, organic tomato. They also have salads and all day brunch (wooooooo!!!!!!) which features egg-based "scrambowls." All food is cooked right in front of you as soon as you order it, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. SO. YUMMY. Feeling particularly grateful for places like this that fill my belly with healthy, nutritious, filling foods. Come visit them and give them some love :)

My favorite! Cooked perfectly, I recommend all of the vegetable bowls, they are so delicious! I only wish they had a shop in my town, Santa Rosa. I would eat here all the time.

Soo thoroughly satisfied! I am currently on a cleanse and wanted to eat something that was satisfying and not heavy so I came across this place and I am extremely happy that I did. All of the bowls sound appetizing so it just depends on what you are in the mood for. I was torn between the Vera Cruz and the Thai Curry so the young lady let me taste both the pasilla pepper sauce and the curry. Both were bomb but the curry sauce was warm and since I've been eating cold food the last few days, that was my choice. My bowl was everything that I needed and exceeded my expectations! All my ingredients were fresh, my portion was great and the sauce went soo well with everything in the bowl. I was very hungry and they did not disappoint. I will be going back and if I can break away from the Thai Curry, I will be happy to explore other items on their menu-they have a good thing going!

Great neighborhood spot for some really thoughtful and tasty meals. I just love not having to think about nutrition when going out to eat - no matter what you order here, it's going to be nutritious and easy on the belly. I had the Togarashi with cauliflower rice and shrimp. It was delicious! Very filling and energizing. Note: I had to order a second one because I couldn't eat spicy that day and I didn't realize that the sauce topping would have such a kick. Just a good think to know if you might also need the sauce on the side.

This place has been on my radar ever since I saw it on Snackpass and I was not disappointed with what I got at all! I got a togarashi bowl, which consisted of white rice, garlic cremini mushrooms, sautéed greens, red sweet beets with cilantro ginger sauce. My friend got a vegan hash scrambowl, which has roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, roasted cauliflower, sautéed onion, cremini mushroom, zucchini, thyme, and cilantro ginger vinaigrette. It was so yummy that I wish there was more in one portion :(

Now, what in the healthy deliciousness is this?! Humbowl just creeped in with the answer to many of y'alls prayers. Healthy meals that are actually filling, mouthwatering, and cost effective! I picked up lunch here a few weeks ago without really knowing what to expect, and ended up being blown away in the process. I ordered the Togarashi bowl with shrimp using their online website which was super easy to navigate. I would usually dine in during my lunch time, but with new staff that are still in training, I've been stuck eating most of my meals in the office. They have a really cute rustic interior space though. It's small but comfortable and inviting. The staff gave me a really warm welcome when I came in to pick up my food. Humbowl offers a variety of different protein bowls that can also be made vegetarian and vegan. I ordered their Togarashi bowl with shrimp which consists of garlic mushrooms, sauteed greens, red beets, brown rice/quinoa blend, and cilantro ginger sauce. Every single item in that bowl tasted amazingly fresh. Ev-er-y-thang. Each of the vegetables were fragrant in their own right and the combination of flavors was absolute dynamite. It sounds so simple but the flavors are truly on point here. The shrimp were nice and plump and there was plenty of them to go around! You know how skimpy some restaurants can be when it comes to the protein (especially when seafood is involved). You don't have to worry about that with Humbowl. They provide very filling portions in their bowls, but the meal is still light. My staff knew that I was trying something different when I came back with the bowl. They asked me how it was and I just couldn't help but to gloat about how scrumptious everything tasted. Now they're planning on trying them out too. So excited to try more healthy bowls from here! If you wanna get your healthy eats on without compromising taste and quality, Humbowl is your baby!

Healthy food can be delicious and affordable. There I said it! Humbowl also has SCRAMBOWLS which consists of vegetables, eggs, and sweet potatoes. The bowls range from $11.95 - $13.95. My two favorite bowls are seasonabowl: sweet white corn, zucchini, red onion, organic tomato with basil cashew pesto thai curry: sautéed greens, zucchini, roasted sweet potatoes with coconut curry sauce My only wish is that they opened later than 8pm :(

If this place were closer, I'd eat here every day! Good fresh food, healthy, tasty, and great service. One of my favorites.

It's a simple concept environment, everything light and airy. It's not quiet and seems very kid friendly. I like it because the food is always good, and always entirely gluten free. A safe space, every one is welcome.

We got delivery and found it very pleasant and hearty. Will definitely order from them again. We'd prefer if there were some sort of labeling on the containers so we could tell what was what, but we eventually figured it all out! What we liked: Chicken sausage scrambowl: Eggs were a touch overcooked but this was delicious and full of protein, pasilla sauce was tasty and vinegary and only mildly hot. I wish there were an option to sub potatoes for, say , riced cauliflower, but would get it again anyway -- the potatoes are a fun treat. Brassica bowl with double chicken: on a hungry day, double chicken hit the spot for my spouse ,but it could be ok without the chicken doubled also. He liked the sauce and thought the veggies were good. I would definitely get the riced cauliflower in a Brassica bowl again , it was really good, and the added fried eggs were delicious, next time would get it with chicken My spouse tried the Seasonabowl with corn liked the sauce and really enjoyed the veggies What we might not order again: The tofu (ordered in a Brassica bowl) was extremely bland although the texture was nice. Lentil salad was only ok, dressing seemed bland , greens kind of tough (was that kale?), not our fave We tried a kids' size portion of chicken and just as they warned, it's really not a big enough meal for an adult We got side veggies from the sesame jasmine bowl and they were a little too spicy even for my adventurous spouse. All in all a healthy and solid option.

Food was simple and tasty. Love a quick and healthy option, wish there were more places like it. Would be ideal if it were the same price as a burrito, but I think it is normal market rate for this food it is not overpriced compared to other like options. Reasonable.

I was disappointed in my lentil salad bowl. It was advertised as having roasted cauliflower, but the cauliflower was cold and tasted boiled to me, it had only the barest amount of browning on a few pieces. The tomato basil vinaigrette was good, and the Puy lentils were good, but I wouldn't order this bowl again.

These bowls are amazing! My favorite one was the seasonabowl. I really liked how the restaurant promotes a sustainable ecosystem by using decomposable containers, to-go bags, and locally sourced/grown products. Avocado scramble and Thai Curry was really yummy too. $10 during Berkeley restaurant week? That's an amazing deal! Come support your local restaurant. Definitely a go-to to-go bowl spot.

I visited Humbowl as my first stop for Berkeley Restaurant Week and I can already see me adding this to my list of favs in the area. My first thoughts while looking at the menu was " oh, ok. another healthy food spot " which essentially for me means bland lol. Boy, was I wrong! These bowls pack FLAVOR!!!! Caught me off guard because I wasn't expecting it to be so amazing. Wow! For reference I tried the Thai Curry & added shrimp and also tried the Brassica but kept that one vegan. I can't choose which one was better because they both were delicious and you can absolutely tell you're eating quality. OMG!!! How can this be sooooooo HEALTHY and so dang TASTY at the same time!?!? This place is a must try!!! I got the Thai Curry bowl with shrimp and it was amazing!!! The flavor palette is simple but you taste every single ingredient! The food is cooked to perfection and no mushy vegetables! Picture perfect food!!! Oh and they are very reasonably priced!!! $13.95 for shrimp, $12.95 for chicken or $10.95 for Legumes mix (beans). It's so worth it and a place you will want to come back to again!

I had the Thai curry, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on. My partner had the seasonal dish with pesto which was a delightful combination of flavors and freshness, perfect for summer (in fall). The hot sauce added an extra kick that complemented both dishes nicely. Overall, a fantastic meal! We will be back!
