Google
Very cute restaurant near the water with attentive staff and service. I visited for restaurant week, and was able to find many items on the menu that I wanted to try. The French onion soup was really good and a perfect starter. My entrée was the Burgundy braised short ribs, which was good, but lacked a little bit of seasoning. For dessert, I had the hummingbird cake, which was unique, but I don’t think I would order it again. Overall very pleasant meal and evening. I would dine here again.

Google
I enjoyed every thing I ordered. The short ribs was seasoned perfect, the oysters, drink and hummingbird cake was amazing. I’m not sure what kind of taste buds people have on here but I was not disappointed

Great view of the water! JP was a great server/help. The French onion soup is AMAZING! Rich, perfectly seasoned and unseemingly when you look at the bowl, a very ample serving. I liked the black truffle popcorn as well but I'm biased because I really like popcorn. It's a unique offering as a snack at a hotel but the serving size (a deep-ish bowl) was ok for the price. The Winter Salad was super good and amply dressed for my taste. I would've had the salmon with it if the soup wasn't so delicious that I ate every spoonful. 😋 I'll go for that next time. It's in Hotel Indigo but it's not owned by the hotel. Just a fact. Highly recommend this quiet, serene restaurant for brunch or lunch and a drink. I'll go back for dinner at some point so I'll update my review then.

Hummingbird has cemented itself in our hearts. We were fortunate enough to not only have a wedding here but we experienced the best weather you could possibly ask for. Pair that with the tremendous service from Hummingbird and folks we consider as world class and it was as spectacular of a night as you can imagine. None of what we experienced could have happened without Kenneth. What an absolute rockstar from vendor communications, food tastings, walk through, local recommendations and just overall being a standup guy. Kenneth had his staff working all weekend, from assisting with our tent vendor to treating each and every guest like an A list celebrity. The location is awesome. Our guests loved looking out at the Potomac and being walking distance from EVERYTHING in Alexandria. Now as the groom the following statement is to be expected, the drinks and bar service were fantastic. The apps served during the cocktail hour were devoured. Crab/corn fritters, fried oysters and feta watermelon were ate like the world was coming to an end. Everyone came back from the buffet with short rib and rockfish. Here I thought there be two distinct groups and everyone wanted both options! The atmosphere was great, having guests dance the night away outside and having a pirate ship pass by on the Potomac as we said our “I do’s” could only happen at Hummingbird. Kenneth and his staff were great. Would recommend the spot to anyone and everyone. Also having ate breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner at Hummingbird over the weekend I can attest that the options are great and there are no wrong moves. Thank you all so much for hosting us and see you soon for a cocktail on the water!

Everything was good. There signature is not so good but I can’t say bad too. I like there pistachio cake more in dessert. Also for vegetarians there wild mushrooms bolognese pasta is must try. We also love the bbq grilled chicken. Also in appetizers, fried oysters and trio of dips is must try. Perfect for date night.

Me and my parents-in-law had a great dinner there around Cinco De Mayo weekend for my father-in-law's birthday. I want to say that Alla, the hostess, was amazing! I called a few places last minute to make a reservation and, with very little hope, she was happy to help and accommodate us, a party of 4 adults, 1 kid, and 1 baby. She was very kind, professional, and even remembered my name upon arrival. Throughout the dinner she checked in frequently to make sure we were okay, which typically only the waiter does this for us. Nice atmosphere and good food! I just wish they had more spirit variety options.

Google
My husband and I got engaged in August and we knew we wanted to have a small wedding in the fall (two months later!). This all hinged on finding a restaurant that had a good atmosphere, was light and airy, and could handle my dietary restrictions. Hummingbird was our answer - we had a Sunday brunch reception here for 60 people after our midday wedding ceremony. Kenneth was so pleasant to work - he was detail oriented, responsive to emails and meeting requests, and he was able to proactively accommodate many food restrictions. I am gluten, dairy, and egg free and there were many foods (at a brunch!) that I could eat. Kenneth also went back and forth with me on the paper menu I created with GF/DF/etc symbols so I could make sure all my friends/family with dietary restrictions were covered. They also prepared a special plate and got a dessert for our vegan friend. We had many friends compliment us on the food (I hear the avocado toast was particularly amazing), most of whom I consider to be foodies so I took that as quite high praise. It made us very happy that our friends were full and content - that hasn't always happened to us at weddings so that was really important to us when we were planning. We ended up doing a full restaurant buy out and a partial patio buy out. There was a baby shower on the other portion of the patio which they had put up a tent for since it was early November. Our photographer and some guests got confused by the second event - it blocked the main entry vestibule so people missed all the signage for our event and also no one wanted to hang out at the outside tables even though the weather was beautiful. My recommendation would be to try to also do a full patio buy out so you aren't sharing any outdoor space and it's just your event. All in all, though, I highly recommend!

Beautiful scenery by the waters, potomac river. The food was delicious, salmon lemon mutini.. I think lol. The waiters were exceptional, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Everything about this place was amazing! The drinks, the food and the atmosphere. The seafood was done to perfection

Yelp
We took a chance on the Hummingbird the morning after our overnight stay at the Indigo Hotel in Alexandria, VA. We arrived about 10:30 AM to try their breakfast. We were greeted promptly and escorted to our table. There were only a handful of others in the entire restaurant. The host then left us with the menus to review. Of course, there were traditional standards of eggs, omelet, bacon, etc. They also had French Toast (I ordered), and a "Continental Breakfast" of yogurt parfait, toast, and "fresh" seasonal fruit (she ordered). The person who seated us came back and took our order. I had ordered coffee, and was told to walk over to the bar where I could serve myself. The server didn't offer to bring us water, so we had to ask for water. We were also told the juice at the bar was "not included." I took that as a hint. The food was brought out within a few minutes. From a distance, everything looked okay. However, the glistening of my french toast indicated that I was in for an oily mess which, unfortunately, I was correct. It was tolerable, but there was consistently building film of oil on my tongue that slowly developed that made the entire thing less appetizing after each bite. The bacon I ordered on the side was equally unappetizing and dry. Her parfait was actually rather good, but the side of "fresh fruit" was likely fresh several days ago. It had since become a translucent array of honey dew and cantaloupe that had lost any semblance of flavor long ago. We finished a bit after 11 AM. By that time, they had removed the coffee, and refills of our water weren't exactly offered. It was time to go. I received the bill that had been miscalculated and overcharged for the bacon I had ordered. The server promptly corrected this, and returned the bill. Upon review, I also found that a 20% gratuity was automatically added. I was stunned. Mostly because I didn't feel this server had done anything remotely outside of taking our order and bringing us the water we had to ask for. The food was brought out by someone else. Never once checked on us during the whole time. Crazy. So, in a nutshell, unless you are desperate for a meal and really in a pinch for time, there are far better venues within walking distance to have your breakfast at. Perhaps their lunch and dinner is an entirely different story, but our experience was certainly not worthy of a repeat visit despite the fact that we love the Indigo Hotel there.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our food, drinks, service, and vibes of the restaurant! We felt very welcomed and the staff made sure we enjoyed our time! We had a great date night by the water!

Yelp
Just had hors doeuvres and they were okay, not grand. Wines are also okay, not grand. Nice setting, nice service. Not much else to add...

Ashlee S.

Yelp
Wonderful service, good food! I was in town visiting family during restaurant week so we decided to try somewhere new. The special included three courses for each person (appetizer, entree, & dessert). I went with the fried oysters for my appetizer, salmon bucatini (gluten free style) for my entree, and flourless chocolate cake to finish it off. My dad got the crab & corn fritters, meatloaf and lemon cake. We loved the appetizers and my pasta was very delicious. The meatloaf was just okay and the presentation was not the best. The flourless cake is apparently a restaurant week special and it good but nothing to write home about. The lemon cake was good but the presentation left much to be desired. Overall, the ambiance is nice, the servers are good and the food is decent so maybe I'd try it again.

Yelp
A lot of parking in the area, but not today since the whole town was down in old town catching the boat parade and the Christmas spirit. We had a holiday party with 16 pax and had our own closed area. The place has a great ambiance helped by the interior and the view out to the river. The restaurant was packed and I am glad we reserved ahead. The menu had three courses to choose from for appetizers, three for entrees and two for dessert. I had the hummingbird salad that had a very good blend of sweet, savory and bittery taste. I choose salmon on pasta for entree and it was grilled to perfection. Warm and a touch hot on a bed of fusilini type of pasta in white sauce and presented with perhaps a leaf of basilica. Awesome for the eyes and if possible even better in the mouth. It's a long time since I have made mmm sound on every bite I took. For the dessert I choose dessert cake (hummingbird) which was creamy very sweet and obviously too heavy, beacuse of the previous courses . I had a mocktail (alco free) also to challenge those tastebuds by sipping to it during the meal. The whole experience with location, food, drink was amazing. However, the attentiveness and the kindness and professionalism from the serving staff had absolutely everything to do with the marvelous experience. I do not remember both of the person who served us name. (Joshua and?) but a big shout out to both of them for doing this to an incredible night out for all us. Would def recommend going to Hummingbird.

Gerard S.

Yelp
Food, service and the view! Close to the water as you can see. Spring and summer time is a treat at Hummingbird!

Maria C.

Yelp
Came here for a weekday lunch with some friends. The space, inside and out on the patio, overlooks the river and is truly lovely. Service was terrific. Food was hit or miss. The menu presented was very different from the menu online. The salads and the pasta with shellfish were well liked. The BLT sandwich with 2 fried eggs was uninteresting and meager (one slice of toast, 2 thin strips of bacon, 2 small pieces of lettuce). Avoid the french fries, which were very dark brown and soggy.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Food was bland and drinks were ok. Service was good. we had the roasted chicken and meatloaf dish. It was very underwhelming. The flavors were not there. Friends thought the same. Usually roasted chicken has great flavors stewed, not sure what happened. I heard the brunch was good so i may come back for that.

Yelp
We had our 10/14/2023 wedding at Hummingbird. Everything was wonderful! The manager, Kenneth, is extremely responsive and easy to work with. He did a ton of the heavy lifting for us. He worked with us to tailor our food and drink menus, and he really took our preferences into consideration. The food was spectacular and the drinks were amazing. The space itself is also beautiful, and even with a cloudy day, we had a great view of the river. The evening also went seamlessly - we can't thank them enough. Highly recommend.

Katie N.

Yelp
We came to Hummingbird after a friend recommended we go. The restaurant is located in a hotel, and there are multiple parking garages around, which is great considering street parking in Old Town can be a nightmare. We were promptly seated during our reservation time, and drinks quickly brought out. The plates order in our group was the smoked salmon benedict, classic benedict, and the farm breakfast with a side of french toast. Overall, everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. They have a nice patio and you have views of the water, but it was too hot to sit outside on the day we went.

John P.

Yelp
Had a very enjoyable time last night at Hummingbird. Started with the fried oyster appetizer which was very good, right amount of crust and a generous portion. Then had the whole branzino which was very tasty. Really enjoyed the three sauces it is served with.

Christy B.

Yelp
Pros: service (Vlad) was great; oysters delicious. Halibut special (not on the menu) was good but nothing special. The croquette accompanying the fish was bigger than the fish. Cons: sitting outside puts you in the shade in a wind tunnel so expect a 20 degree difference. It was mid June and I had to grab a jacket. Duck pot pie was in the bland side and not very filling as the bowl was only half full despite the full pie topping.

Greg F.

Yelp
Stayed at the Hotel Indigo and had breakfast here in the morning. The restaurant itself has a great view of the river and watching the planes land at Regan. The service is poor. The only interaction we had with staff was for them to take our order after we sat. After that, we had to get our own water, juice and coffee. Once all was sad and done, the bill was brought with a 20% tip already added for "services". Avoid at all cost. Take your money elsewhere.

German D.

Yelp
Hummingbird is a restaurant we've been wanted to try for a really long time due to its great location right on the water in Alexandria. We went for restaurant week with a couple of friends and while we had a lovely time, I will say I think the food itself and the overall experience did not quite live the hype of what I would've expected and hoped for. The food quality is hit or miss, we ordered a variety of dishes at our table and while the oysters and pork were extremely good, the lobster bisque was very watery and meh. Our pasta dishes all were a little bit mediocre as well considering the price point. Our server was relatively attentive, they were quite busy because it was restaurant week but the level of service was not what you would've expected for a "fine dinning restaurant". We all very much enjoyed our wine selection and had a lovely meal. Overall I don't think this place is bad, per se, I just don't think it justifies the hype price point nor live up to the hype.

Bella J.

Yelp
1. Reservation: must, they are busy and not so big 2. Service: excellent 3. Food: Good, the oysters were delicious despite not having many choices, mussels were great 4. Mixed drinks: were just okay. I wish it was better. But rather good looking 5. Atmosphere: lively as many people are standing around the bar 6. View: direct view to the waterfront and you can see the boats going around, it is beautiful All in all, a great place.

Emily M.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel connected to the restaurant and decided to check it out - glad we did! We didn't order any entrees, but instead went for their cheese board, drinks, and some dessert. The cheese board was fantastic, the drinks were tasty and beautiful, and the dessert - delicious! Overall very pleased, and the servers were very attentive and kind. Would absolutely come back!

Michelle G.

Yelp
Delicious salmon tacos with a beautiful view of the waterfront and great service, highly recommend!

Michael S.

Yelp
The way the bill is presented seems dishonest. First off a single BLT and 2 glasses of OJ should never be $40 but to suggest I leave a 40% tip on subpar service and expensive food is a new level of bravado. In an area with so many options I would skip this trap.

Kayla H.

Yelp
Underwhelming, though I'd had high hopes. I opted for the restaurant week menu when coming here for dinner. One plus is the non-alcoholic/mocktails on the drink menu. That's a nice addition, but the Havana Night I ordered was quite sweet. I was okay with this, but it was more of a sweet limeade than a mocktail. ‍ For the first course, I had the heirloom tomato salad. The burrata was tasty, but the grilled peaches were completely flavorless. It was a teeny portion which was a little surprising because our server had recommended splitting it. We did that and it amounted to about 2-3 small bites each. I chose the baked ratatouille for my entrée. The most disappointing dish of the evening. First - my order was about half as much volume than my friends. Wth. Did the restaurant run out of vegetables? Beyond the weird portion issues, the eggplant slices in my ratatouille were nearly raw. I've never had crunchy ratatouille until now! The best part of the meal was the dessert - I had the gooey brownie with vanilla ice cream on top. Very good. Very gooey. Our server was very friendly, but seemed over worked. On more than one occasion, a he got to our table, he asked to be excused to go handle some other table's needs. I can't fault a hardworking person for being slammed, but worth noting in case you're in a hurry when you're considering whether to dine here.

Jolie B.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible service! The waiter was rude and disrespectful and was rushing us! (we are local people) also gave us additude. It was my daughters birthday and the food was also overpriced. The oysters were not fresh and had sand inside. When we were done with the food, the reciept had 20% additional tip with no permission at all!! Terrible place, never will go there again!!

Megan A.

Yelp
Waited for 10-15 minutes to get seated for breakfast while we were in town. Nobody acknowledged we were waiting by the hostess table. I even walked in the restaurant to find an employee and could not find anyone. We left and chose a different place for breakfast.

Fritz A.

Yelp
Very good food (both visits, dinner and brunch), perfect staff attention (friendly, informed, kept clearing dishes, filling glasses, checking up). Interesting menu with good variety. Love the location on the river a couple of blocks from busy King Street.

Daniel N.

Yelp
Came out and stayed at the hotel connected to this restaurant for a wedding. By the end of the weekend, we were so close to all the staff at the Hummingbird Bar and Kitchen. Everyone that works there was so nice and took such good care of us. They were a big part of making it a great weekend. We will miss the crew and especially Alla. The food was also perfect.

Erin F.

Yelp
My family had our Dad's 75th birthday dinner in a semi-private room at Hummingbird. It was very easy to make the reservation and follow-up with details/requests as it got closer to the event. The manager was even quick with responses to me via email the day of, which I really appreciated. Hummingbird is in a beautiful space with nice views of the waterfront. I had hoped to use the outdoor fire pit area before dinner, but the weather didn't cooperate. We were given a great space (it felt private!) for our party of 15. Dinner was delicious. We'll definitely return. Highly recommend for special events.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late lunch early dinner. We sat at the edge of the deck so we could overlook the water. Beautiful views great service and delicious food for sure. Our waiter, Vladyslav, delivered outstanding service and knew the menu, and made recommendations. We ordered oysters, the hummus trio, and the grilled cheese. The food was great and the oysters were incredible! Great quality food, excellent service, and beautiful views. We highly recommend!!

Corey M.

Yelp
What happened here? My wife and I used to come to Hummingbird often. On several occasions, we brought friends from out of town. The menu was dependable and so was the food. The service was typically good. We liked it. Until tonight. Tonight, we were eating outside when my mother saw a mouse run under our table. It scared her and she jumped up. She sat back down and saw it a second time and stood up. My wife, after hearing what had happened, did not want to continue eating outside. When we told one of the staff what had happened and why we were all standing up looking around at the table, his response was, "We're outside, so...yeah." I get it, guy. We're outside, in Old Town, by the water. We live here. We know. But, if a customer sees a rodent by their table and asks (nicely, mind you) to be moved inside, maybe consider simply honoring the request, minus the commentary. Just a bad look. Worse, that wasn't even the low point. I ordered the rockfish. When it arrived, it was full of bones. I picked no fewer than five bones out of a slimy spoon-size filet. The fried potato was burnt. The vegetables were flavorless and overcooked. The wine tasted like it was uncorked weeks ago. When I showed my plate, including the bones, to the waitress and asked for the kitchen to take it back, we were surprised to find it still on the bill at checkout. In cases like this, especially given our experience outside, you might expect the manager to maybe stop by, or otherwise make an effort to improve the dining experience. No. My wife, instead, had to chase our waitress down to have the entree removed from the check. Bummer. We once liked this place. There are a lot of options in Old Town these days. More than there used to be. For what it's worth, Ava's, for us, has been consistently solid. Consider this a PSA. Everybody should feel free to eat wherever they choose. But, if I was you, and I had a choice, I'd choose another restaraunt.

Singi D.

Yelp
Beautiful sunny day around 1pm, I decided to enjoy their beautiful patio for lunch. Construction noise & planes flying by, but it was great to get some sun! All the wine I tried was good, service not so much. First I tried the salmon Croquettes, the appetizer had 3, filled with Salomon, they tasted fine. wish there was extra sauce on the plate. Next I tried the fish of the day, sadly nothing on the plate was seasoned, fish was dry. I had to ask for salt & pepper to season it. The plate must have been sitting out because the food was cold. Fries tasted good but were not crisp. The broccolini was grilled to perfection, flavorful after adding salt & pepper. Finally had the Hummingbird cake, now that was really good, not too sweet and a perfect slice of heaven. Server seemed annoyed or didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I had to ask for water so many times, Finally on the 3rd time he left a small carafe on the table. Not sure why he didn't do that earlier. He asked me how the food was. I told him the fish was dry, he just ignored me. Why ask if you are not going to do anything about it? And who serves fries with no ketchup? I had to ask 2 people to bring me some ketchup.

David H.

Yelp
The whole fish Branzino I had last night with three different dipping sauces was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, a healthy serving and very moist and tasty.

Shelie B.

Yelp
THE best salmon tacos I've ever had. Hummingbird cake is great as well, but the slice is so small, it could be a big bigger!

Elsie O.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel and ordered both dinner and breakfast through the restaurant so can only speak to the food from a "to go" standpoint. For the price, I expected a bit better. The steak frites were super dry and no flavor. Fries were yummy though! The cosmo was meh. Breakfast (ordered the French toast) was good but cold by the time I got my silverware unfortunately. I would probably give it another try but wouldn't order to-go again.

Katarina V.

Yelp
This place is really nice. I've been here a handful of times and it never disappoints. Love the patio! We shared a salad with beets and goat cheese (pics below) and had steak with truffle fries as an entrée. The steak was great! Fries were delicious. We walked there because we live in the neighborhood but there is plenty of parking around. It may be a bit more difficult to find a parking spot on certain days but it's usually fine. Our server was sooo amazing.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Great food & service! We can't wait to come back! Thqnk you for making our date night special!

Amy D.

Yelp
I don't understand the poor reviews! Alex and I went here for restaurant week lunch and oh my was it delicious!!! I have been wanting to dine here but having read the reviews, I did not have high expectations, but I'm glad I did try it bc I loved it and can't wait to go back! I had the mussels to start, these shrimp salad for my entrée and the hummingbird cake for dessert. Alex had the onion dip to start, the burger for his entrée and the hummingbird cake for dessert. We also ordered a side of the grilled artichokes (this were incredible and tender!!). The mussels were so yummy that I almost picked up the pot and sucked down the broth! The onion dip was meh (too sweet but good if you're into that). The salad was so fresh and wish quality ingredients! Plenty of shrimp and nice hard boiled egg on the side! The dressing was overly sweet but you can switch it out. I really wanted the burger so I was sooooo glad when Alex ordered it... I'm trying to watch my girlish figure but after having a bite it was hard not to eat the whole thing! Amazing!! Drool worthy!! Lastly the cake, yummy standard hummingbird cakes! We will definitely be back and pay full price for non-restaurant week!! Can't wait :)

Carli D.

Yelp
Ok ok OK, listen closely, ya'll! I would give this place 10/5 stars if I could. The food? 10/10 excellent, tasty, good quality ingredients, totally 110% satisfying, but the service? The service though?! My god, the service was out-of-this-world amazing. That means a lot to me personally so I would honestly eat here again just strictly for the service even if the food had just been mediocre, which it wasn't. The charcuterie plate was to DIE for and the truffle fries were on another level. But the server that we were so lucky to get, John, went above & beyond to make sure we were happy at every turn. He ensured that our wine glasses were topped off and that we always had what we needed. I never say this, but, please, please Hummingbird Bar & Kitchen, give this man a raise immediately. He deserves all the money/promotions/praise you can give him. He made two out-of-towners just staying here for a work conference this week feel like a million bucks. Anyway, if you're in the area do NOT pass this place up! The view is spectacular off the patio, the food is fantastic, and the service is unbeatable (at least if you are lucky like us to get served by this gentleman). 100/10 Will stay at Hotel Indigo again (highly recommend staying at HI in ANY city) the next time I'm in DC for work and I will definitely eat at this restaurant again soon!

Shannon V.

Yelp
We came with some friends for brunch recently and I would say things were ok. The food and drinks were good but service was slow. We were luckily in no hurry but brunch took upwards of 2.5 hours with long waits for food and drink. I got a burger and I will say it was a tasty burger. The meat was seasoned well and cooked to temp. One of my companions got the steak and eggs and there is no way the steak was the quoted menu size. On that note I would say that items were priced fairly high. I will say that is pretty typical of the Old Town area so it was not necessarily priced unfair. My companion was just hoping for a bit more food for what they paid. That being said I would not hesitate to come back again. The cocktails were tasty and strong, but I might be a little more choosey with which entrée I would order.

Micky L.

Yelp
Surprisingly Smokey lobster bisque and it was delish. The devil eggs with smoked salmon were lovely and refreshing. The burger was outstanding. The drinks were very tasty too! I hope to come back for dinner and try their dinner service. I did see two mice running around the restaurant... I hope they get this problem resolved.

Dina M.

Yelp
Paint me like a French Lady was probably the highlight of our dining experience. The setting itself is nice, quiet but the food is nothing extraordinary. I ordered the steak and frites which too be honest could be ordered anywhere. The staff however, very friendly but need to be more knowledgeable regarding spirits that they have in hand. If you're spending over $150 on a dinner you would expect the waiters to be able to tell the customers what they can provide without having to leave and come back with a bar guide. Overall we stayed at the Hotel Indigo that was attached so it was easily accessed but would not go again. I believe this restaurant place more value on wedding events than everyday customers.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Hummingbird for breakfast. Our food was terrible. We each ordered cappuccino to begin with. What we were served seemed like regular coffee with some foam placed on top. The coffee did not taste like espresso and in any event was no better than somewhat warm. I ordered fried eggs and the whites were somewhat runny and the eggs were less than warm. My wife had avocado toast which she said was tasteless and the toast was cold. We will not return to Hummingbird.

Yelp
Summertime dinner with my mama and my honey do. While it was almost an hour wait for our food to come out, I must say that it was worth the wait. They both had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccolini and I had the lobster linguine. Everything was well seasoned, well portioned, and adequately priced. I would have loved to give five stars but the wait time was a bit much. And our waiter said that it was his fault for the delay but didn't explain why nor was there any discount on the bill. I would definitely come back again though

Yelp
If you're going to have a virtually nonexistent menu 3-5 on weekends, you are better off closing. Walked in for a late lunch and can order basically nothing from the menu I was handed. Not knowing until after I've been seated didn't help. All you've done is leave me with a poor impression of your restaurant. Now, I am much less likely to visit your restaurant during normal hours.

Yelp
Outstanding! If your staying at the hotel, it's worth a quick trip to the bar. The bartenders have gregarious personalities and the drinks are bursting in taste and unique flavors. Guaranteed to be a great time. Excellent drinks and service. Really enjoyed the stay, the hotel room, but for a normally non-drinker, the bartenders really boosted the quality of the stay.

Yelp
I made reservations here for my friend's birthday brunch. The service was good but the food was terrible. The website lists a Nutella French toast that I was looking forward to but is no longer available. One guest of our party had plastic in her food. My food was cold. Another guest of our party ordered a steak that was extremely overcooked. We had to send back 3 out of 6 plates. The view is nice and it's a prime location but I would not return.

Yelp
Stopped by the first time since moving to Alexandria. Location is very nice not far from the water front. We sat outside first they ran out of Hummus. Then the server took our orders we told her not to add the potatoes and they did anyway. My wifes food came out slightly cold. Also when we went to use the bathroom 2 stalls were not working. So I may never go back hopefully they correct some of these issues.

Yelp
Not friendly to locals. They refuse to serve locals before 10:30am. Their priority is out-of-towners. Dine at King and Rye instead.

Yelp
Fantastic food and amazing service!! I've been for breakfast, lunch & dinner & the food is top notch. The bar is so cute & the staff are incredibly accommodating. I love the outdoor seating & the fire pit! Go!!!

Yelp
If I was able to rate a ZERO I would. My husband and I went to this restaurant on Sunday, August 14, 2022 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we have never been their so we were excited to try something new. Be very careful when reading the menu, I love love lobster and one of the choices said lobster with pasta, in fact I said to my husband maybe i shouldn't order this because using a nut cracker was not an option being that my right hand is not in good shape. My husband ordered there fish special. Twenty five minutes passed and we are on our second drink and finally dinner is served, and keep in mind there was maybe 20 people in the whole place. I was shocked when the plate was put in front of me a small, small, small tail and a tiny, tiny claw with a handful of pasta and I mean just a handful. I looked at my husband and we both said to each other well no need to crack anything open. This meal was $50.00 and by no means a good meal is worth every penny, not this one. We asked to speak to a manger, well this unwelcoming person walked over to the table, I knew at that point we were about to deal with someone unprofessional and totally not approachable, why from the moment he came to the table is arms were crossed and remained that way the entire time. He was completely condescending with zero empathy, his name is Mason Bermudez. His complete Prasanna was by far not someone that should be managing a restaurant, what they need to do is send him for training to learn how to speak and rule 101 you do not approach a customer that is upset with your arms crossed. He said you are only getting 8 ounces of lobster and I asked him to show me where it said that, he said "don't you know that we have a supply chain issue", I looked at him and I said get away from this table I have nothing to say to you, he was told that we are celebrating our Anniversary and you know what he should have said please let me buy you guys dessert, that would have been the proper thing to do, we did not need him to remove my dinner from the bill, what we needed was respect and understanding and to learn how to explain why this meal is for a bird. Oh and in addition, we ordered the truffle fries, they arrived when we asked for the check. It's not worth it, to have a person managing a restaurant that is unprofessional, uneducated with the food industry, I am sure this restaurant is struggling and to rely on this person to perform in a manner that would want repeat business, he is not the one, he needs manners, basic manners.

Yelp
I was there a Sunday afternoon and I would like to say what a delight it was. The drinks were cold and refreshing, fries delicious, our waiter, who's name I unfortunately do not remember, was fabulous (he even ran after us because I had forgotten my sunglasses at the table). I will definitely be back.
