A bit of a bummer, but this place just wasn't great. We got the pulled pork sandwich and the corn ribs. The bun on the pulled pork sandwich was a bit soggy, and the pork wasn't very warm... the coleslaw really redeemed this sandwich though, the coleslaw was really flavorful and yummy. The corn ribs were cold and not very flavorful. I'd say if your family has dragged you here and you've got to get something, get the pulled pork with the coleslaw. The fries are also decent.

Google
Excellent BBQ Brisket & Pulled Pork, sides of baked beans, coleslaw and fries were delish. We tried the corn ribs as well. Not exactly street corn but if vegetarian a fun option. We also tried the lemonade tea and it was refreshing! Highly recommend!

Google
Hungry Bear Smoked Barbecue Combo Plate This bbq was good for disney, the meat had nice portions. Only comment was that I only had the option for baked beans and coleslaw, couldn't even add fries for an added fee. Smoked Angus Beef Burger with Pulled Pork Another nice meal with a good portion. Meat was nicely cooked wish it had more sauce. Fries were nice and crispy. Churro Funnel Fries It comes with vanilla ice cream on top of all of the funnel fries. It tasted just like a churro but with the texture of a funnel cake.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. This place is a big fast food restaurant in Frontierland, Disneyland. And the smell that draws you in is great. It was 8 at night in a day they close at 12. It was kind of dirty and missing ketchup, utensils, etc. We wanted to order ribs but ordering through mobile it wasn’t an option, so we ordered a brisket sandwich. It took 40 minutes. Most of it had big chunks of inedible meat fat. Wendy the manager needs to check on what is being served there. Fries were horrid too. In all I would no recommend it. :(. And btw, there were ribs! Just not available through mobile order… on the app :/

You wait in a 30 minute line, and there’s no tables available. The food is great, I got the pulled pork burger, etc.

Google
This location is usually pretty decent. If you're looking for a simple Burger, fries, or a funnel cake, this is a good place to go to. It's usually about $14 for a burger with fries and not huge portions like, but medium-sized. I usually get their chicken sandwiches, and the flavor is pretty good and will keep you pretty full. If you are able to do a mobile order, I highly recommend it. Because on a busy day, you can be waiting for about a half hour in line. Last month I came here and there was a strand of hair in my fries so I went to the counter and they exchanged it for a new item. It was a slight disappointment that I was not compensated for the disgusting inconvenience as most restaurants usually do but I did not make a fuss about it. On the plus side, there's a lot of seating upstairs.

I'm happy to welcome the new Hungry Bear Barbeque Jamboree! Although I enjoyed some of the food before the change, I'm glad the park has a BBQ option since Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue closed many years ago. I'll be honest: I'm wary of BBQs in amusement parks, as they tend to be hit-and-miss or, some days, better than others. The revamped menu has some delectable BBQ options, vegetarian and allergy-conscious items, desserts, and kids' meals. On my first visit, I ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich with Beer-battered Fries. The brisket sandwich had a delicious and smokey flavor, with a soft toasted bun to hold all the goods. Unfortunately, my brisket was a little on the dry side. After adding more BBQ sauce, I still devoured the whole thing, but I would have enjoyed it more if it were a more tender and juicy brisket. BBQ can be a hit or miss; hopefully, I'll get a better cut next time. The pulled pork sandwich or combo platter would be popular options I can't wait to try. The Beer-battered Fries were a nice change from the average fries that were available before. I love the crispy, seasoned texture, and it goes well with my ketchup-mayo with pepper dip or BBQ sauce. There are plenty of condiments to pair with your meal and ample seating on two levels with views of the Rivers of America. A few new specialty drinks are available, and I tried the Sparkling Strawberry-Pickle Lemonade, which was a refreshing choice. The pickle flavor is subtle alongside the strawberry flavor, but the pickle spear is a delicious touch. As with many of the restaurants in Disneyland, Hungry Bear will be able to offer seasonal items throughout the year. I can't wait to see what they create next. Stand-by and mobile ordering is available for lunch and dinner. Magic Key pass holders can also apply their discounts here. I hope to try more items soon!

Absolutely incredible food — way beyond what you’d expect from a fast food spot, especially in a theme park. Delicious, fresh, and unforgettable. A total gem in Disneyland!

Yelp
My visit to the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland was quite enjoyable, despite the hustle and bustle typical of a busy theme park. While the atmosphere was a tad chaotic, which is to be expected, the efficiency of the staff impressed me. Despite the long lines, we swiftly found seating, placed our order, and received our food promptly, all prepared just as we requested. I particularly recommend the burger, chicken tenders, and onion rings - delicious choices! Plus, it's worth noting their gluten-free options, catering to various dietary needs. Overall, the Hungry Bear Restaurant did a commendable job of providing a satisfying dining experience amidst the excitement of Disneyland. Four stars well-deserved!

Yelp
I have eaten here many times before. They served classic American diner dishes and it was good but nothing for me to want to write a review on. But I have to say that I am impressed with the the most recent visit. Yesterday, we ate here for lunch and the BBQ bacon cheeseburger was well made! The onion ring was huge and very crispy, beef patty was cooked well and the red pepper cheese made everything come together! It was a well-made burger and with complimentary fries for $15.99 makes this an affordable and solid meal at an amusement park. We also ordered sides of onion rings and fries with the red pepper sauce and that was it. It has become one of my favorite snacks at the park. I tried the honey spicy fried chicken sandwich and it is SPICY! It reminds me of Szechuan spices which is more of a numbing, dry heat. So good and the honey balances it out. Service was fast and friendly. As always, I found a seat first before I placed a mobile order.

Yelp
03/20/24 Of all the places to eat at Disneyland, the kid chose this place. I don't think we've ever eaten here, so it something new. We got 3 orders of chicken tenders, 2 with fries, 1 with onion rings. The chicken tenders were not bad. Same with the onion rings. Crispy and golden. I ordered the bbq chicken salad. I did not enjoy it very much. The chicken felt a little mushy. I pushed it to the side and ate the rest of the salad. Overall 7/10. Everyone enjoyed their chicken tenders and where we sat was sunny and bright. Will come back and try other items.

Yelp
Hungry Bear is a great spot to take a break at Disneyland. Plenty of shade and tables to hangout. The food was pretty good, the onion rings are a must. The main reason we went there was to try the pistachio cold brew but it was a 3, you can barely taste the pistachio and it had a lot of ice. Skip it and try one of the other cold brews at the park.

Yelp
On every visit to Disneyland we have had a meal at Hungry Bear Restaurant. Always a healthy choice on the menu and tables available.

Yelp
Fish burger was quite nice, it's just so small tho. Chicken sandwich was doused with sauce, standard flavor. Cheeseburger was also standard. Onion rings and fries are nice and crispy. The Acre Mist tea is delicious if you love lavender. It's an ok choice if you're too tired to walk over somewhere else.

Yelp
Hungry Bear Restaurant offers delicious food, scenic riverside views, and a perfect family-friendly atmosphere. A must-visit spot in Disneyland for a delightful meal! Highly recommend you try their onion rings!

Yelp
I miss their pumpkin funnel cake so much! My friend and I were craving something sweet with a fall twist, so we decided to stop by Hungry Bear Restaurant for the pumpkin churro funnel cake! This was actually my first time at Hungry Bear, and the line was pretty long! It took around 15 minutes just to order our food, so I recommend mobile ordering if you can. There was a lot of seating so we found a table pretty quickly. The funnel cake was crispy and warm. The caramel topping was sweet but it balanced well with the pumpkin ice cream. I am a huge fan of pumpkin pie, so I really liked the ice cream. Excited to try their next seasonal funnel cake. I'm hoping next fall they have the Pumpkin funnel cake again!

Yelp
First time trying The Hungry Bear. It's a mobile order restaurant which are the absolute best at Disney if you want to maximize your time there. I got the speciality items from the Halloween themed food section: Red Pepper Cheese Fries - The cheese was so so delicious! I was pleasantly surprised to find that these were actually spicy especially for Disney standards. I wish they had that sauce year round because I wouldn't eat anywhere else if they did! Chai-spiced Pumpkin Iced Tea - Not the best. I was hoping for a more milky beverage but got an overly sweet iced tea instead. Had a weird after taste too. Impossible Burger - So darn good! Definitely the best impossible burger I've had at Disney. Whatever the sauce they put inside is 100/10!! Adds a nice freshness to the burger. Comes with a generous side of fries. Lots of tables in a shaded area. Food came out quickly. Definitely coming back here!

Yelp
One of my least favorite restaurants in Disneyland. So why did we eat here? Good question. It was near where we were, and we figured we would save time by eating here. I hoped things had gone up over the years. Food was up quickly. Maybe too quickly. Food was barely even warm. Buns, burger patties, chicken and French fries were all dry and stale. Produce on the sandwiches was fresh. Condiments available include ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce and ranch. Orders may be placed in person, or on the Disneyland app. Restaurant has a rustic vibe. Restrooms are located underneath the restaurant.

Yelp
Hungry Bear has a lot of (covered/shaded) seating both upstairs and downstairs and is a great place to beat the heat and enjoy a snack or meal. The menu consists of burgers, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, fries, and of course kids meals. They also sell souvenirs such as ear hat bowls, sippers and tumblers. On my last visit, I tried their Honey-Spiced Chicken Sandwich, which came with fries. The sandwich is described as crispy chicken, lettuce and a "sweet and spicy spread" which turned out to not be spicy at all, but was delicious nonetheless. There usually isn't much of a line or wait to order, but we prefer to utilize mobile ordering and pick up at the window. Tip: Restrooms are conveniently located downstairs!

Yelp
Solid place to get standard American fast food. Big bonus is that there's plenty of seating on both levels, multiple cashiers, and multiple mobile order pick up windows, as well as its own restroom downstairs. I also always keep an eye out here since it's such a big eatery, there's almost always something seasonal offered here! It's also home of the Country/Hungry(?) Bear Mason Jar souvenir cup that aesthetically matches their lemonade. Cute woodsy cabin look with some bears all around for pictures too. I generally only order seasonal food here or if I want a solid order of jumbo onion rings, this is also my go to place! Their burgers and fries are solid and they also have funnel cakes (sometimes this is also seasonal) here too! If you can grab any of the seating towards the edge of the eatery you can get a good view of the rivers and ships passing by.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Sandwich which was decent. I like the option to have Mandarin oranges, a healthier alternative to fries. The outdoor dining area is covered and looks like a treehouse. Nice view of the riverboat.
google avatar

Lorie D.

Yelp
The cheeseburger is fresh and the fries typically come out warm. The lavender tea is refreshing and tasty. Servicer are friendly and pretty quick. I love sitting outside over looking the water as the pirate ship or the Mark Twain sail past. Highly recommend using the app to order ahead if you are hitting it at rush our lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Churro Funnel Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream is back! Yummy dessert to enjoy in the parks.

Yelp
(Overall: 77% | C) - The donut is soft and fluffy and refreshing -- although it is drowned by too much powdered sugar making it dry and a big mess. The price for 3 beignets is about $5, which is reasonable for Disney standards I suppose, but I heard there's a maple bacon version that would be more interesting. IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
*** Vegetarian Review *** *** Fries and Rings Review *** Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5. Table areas are constantly cleaned. Seating - 5/5 Atmosphere - 5/5. Nowhere else in the world can you enjoy a constant view of a steam engine paddleboat gracefully cruising down the river or a charming steam engine train chugging along the tracks. The unique atmosphere of this place provides an enchanting experience that you won't find elsewhere. Moreover, it offers an abundance of shade, allowing you to stay comfortably cool even on the sunniest days. Tip - Avoid the lines. Mobile order. If you're craving some delicious fries and onion rings in Disneyland, look no further than the Hungry Bear Restaurant. They serve up fantastic versions of these classic sides that are sure to satisfy your Disney snack cravings. The fries are served piping hot and crispy, while the onion rings are perfectly breaded. You'll appreciate that when you take a bite, the entire onion doesn't come out of the breading, ensuring a balanced bite every time. While there are other places within the park where you can find these classic sides, what makes Hungry Bear Restaurant stand out is its self-serve condiment station. It's reminiscent of places like Fuddruckers. You can load up on ranch and BBQ sauce in a judgement-free environment. This convenient feature adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your dining experience. Another great aspect of the Hungry Bear Restaurant is the ample seating available. It's the perfect place to take a break and escape from the sun during hotter Disney days. With plenty of seating options, you can relax, refuel, and recharge before continuing your magical adventure in the park.

Yelp
Decided to try this place while at Disneyland. Looked like the best choice for us when selecting food through the app. Basic park food. Pretty busy. Meal for 4 people $96.00. My husband and sons went with the barbecue bacon burgers. They were all happy with their choice. I tried a bite good but messy get lots of napkins. I ordered the honey spiced chicken sandwich. I didn't taste any honey or spice basic chicken sandwich with not enough sauce so a little dry. The fries were not hot and the red pepper sauce just tasted like a basic cheese sauce. We would eat here again but I would skip the chicken sandwich and red pepper sauce.

Yelp
In the mood for a light lunch. We had to power up after riding various attractions throughout Disneyland Park. Size of establishment is huge! Upstairs or second floor is where you're able to place your order(s). Pleasant, young lady asked questions and confirmed that our orders were correct. There are many tables and chairs available along with a section to grab napkins, utensils, and condiments. Love how you're able to add and mix your own condiments to your meal. In the middle of first and second floor includes stairs. That's free cardiovascular exercise in both directions. First floor offers restrooms, more seats and chairs. Roof and covering provides the most shade for majority of the restaurant which works wonders during rainy and sunny weather. Crispy Spicy Chicken Sandwich w/ Fries and Mustard Mayo sauce was a winner! Some kick to the chicken sandwich. Not overwhelming. Crispy skin remained intact. Light mixed dressing and fresh lettuce complemented the crispiness of breading for fried chicken. Fries were sliced thin with a perfect crisp. Ideal stage for dipping in sauce(s). We enjoyed everything from our meal and ready to continue our adventure.

Yelp
Although I forgot to take pictures of my meal, the BBQ cheese burger was quite delightful but rather messy. We also had the holiday funnel cake which was good for what it was but similar to other ratings, the prices are exorbitant for really no reason other than people will still pay it. hungry Bear is always a nice classic Disneyland eatery when you aren't near anything else.

Yelp
Updating my review to say I'm a fan! Hungry Bear has revived in recent years and I can say it's gradually been becoming one of my favorite places to eat for quick service. Some things are skippable, but there are things that are pretty delicious! Hungry Bear makes really delicious funnel cakes. They rotate all the flavors and the funnel cakes are just super tasty. But best to share between 2-4 people as it's a lot! I really love the funnel cakes from here! Now for my favorite item that I've had from here--The Potato & Cheddar Cheeseburger (a Disney100 Offering). Omg yum! What would've been a normal and kind of dry burger gets transformed with a super tasty Green Chile and Bacon Sauce that is quite flavorful. So delicious that I even scooped up all the drippings and used it as a dip for my fries haha The Crispy Potato Plank is a fantastic choice to give the burger a delicious crunch. REALLY GOOD BURGER! But definitely best to split this burger with someone. *Still dreaming about that cheese sauce* The fries were surprisingly tasty! And I tried the honey-spiced chicken sandwich. Nothing special, but still good! It does have a pretty good peppery kick so be warned that it's spicy! Overall, if I was craving a chicken sandwich I'd get it from here. And I'd 1000% reorder the potato and cheddar cheeseburger in a HEARTBEAT. Good job Hungry Bear!

Yelp
Hungry Bear Restaurant, once home to the exceptional churro funnel cake, seems to have changed its menu, leaving a gap for fans of the old favorite. The new pumpkin churro funnel cake doesn't quite recapture the magic, lacking the robust churro essence that made the original so beloved. The burger and fries are adequate, but there are better options within the park for those particular cravings, and while the condiments help, a touch more seasoning could elevate the fries. On the positive side, the staff are great, the mobile order pickup runs smoothly, there's ample seating, and the restrooms are well-maintained, all contributing to a still pleasant, if not nostalgically tinted, dining experience.

Yelp
Being at Disneyland without reservations can be disastrous! My friend and I were there this week and waitlists were not open anywhere. Even quick service spots had an hour long wait...except for Hungry Bear! I thought it would be lame and that's why no one was there - but it was actually really good! Located in Critter Country, there is a good amount of outdoor seating. We found a table along the rail so we could people watch while dining. And with my Imagine Key, I got a 10% discount - I'll take it! I had the Honey Spiced Chicken Sandwich ($11.69) which came with fries. I liked this a lot actually. It had just the right amount of spice, chicken was juicy and the fries were delicious. They have mayo & ketchup on standby at their napkins/silverware stand so I did add some extra mayo to the sandwich for perfection. My friend had the speciality seasonal Spicy Bacon Cheeseburger ($13.94) with fries and also enjoyed that. My favorite item was the Mulled Cranberry Punch ($5.39), another limited time Holiday item. Obsessed! We both loved this and drank our drinks right up. We didn't find the prices bad at all and were soooo filled up by the big portions. Hungry Bear ended up being a great option and we enjoyed it greatly!

Yelp
I haven't eaten at Hungry Bear for over 5 years. I have always felt they overcooked their burgers and the flavor was bland. Heard Hungry Bear revamped their menu, so we decided to try it. I ordered the Spicy BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with loaded onion rings. Well the burger patty was still dry with no flavor. Even the jalapeño cheese sauce with bacon didn't make the burger better. The onion rings was the only thing that tasted decent and even at that, it wouldn't bring me back to this restaurant. My daughter ordered the honey spiced chicken sandwich which was especially dry. There are other food options in the park that taste way better. Unless you like dry food, avoid this place.

Yelp
This is one one of my favorite stops while visiting Disneyland. One because you have a nice sitting area to relax, rest your feet have a good burger, and bathroom's are all in the same place. Amazing! I gave it 3 stars because the burger patty is pretty plain. They do have condiments on the side like ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing, salt, pepper, Mayo. The burger comes with lettuce only. The onion rings and fries were standard. The service is pretty fast if you order online instead of waiting on their lines, they can get pretty long. I totally advice you to download the Disney app.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
The chicken tenders are okay, sometimes they're pretty skimpy on the portion for the tenders and the fries. The onion rings are really good. There is a lot of seating but it is all outside.
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
I would say in the real world this place is a 3, but if you put on your Disney goggles then it is a 4. The chicken tenders and the funnel cakes were pretty good. I would get them again, especially with their special sauce. The burger tasted like a frozen patty and the salad was a little wilted.
google avatar

Cory N.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite as a kid. After 3 bad experiences, it is now one I will avoid with my own children. Aside from a rude cashier, which is very unusual for Disney, the wait from order prep to order ready was 15 minutes for fries and a salad. It wasn't even their rush time. The line at the pickup turned over several times before mine was ready. The BBQ salad was good. The fries were getting cold because the food counter let them sit while preparing other orders.
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
Compared to the other fast options at Disneyland, Hungry Bear is amazing! I was with a group of 27 people. Half of us ordered via mobile on the Disneyland app and the other half waited in line. Our mobile orders were much faster than predicted. You have to watch the app if you order mobile bc it gives instructions. Anyway, the honeycomb funnel cake was amazing! The onion rings are worth the extra dollar. The spicy chicken was great - it did have a relish that wasn't listed on the mobile order though. I will def return to Hungry Bear next time I'm at Disneyland!

Yelp
Pretty simple American cuisine restaurant with a country flair. This place is actually 2 stories where entrance is at top with cashiers and food pick up and downstairs has additional seating, restrooms and fuel rod vending machine. My bf and I had reservations at 4pm for Fantasmic On-The-Go Package (keep checking many days prior if something opens up because these are hard to come by, especially a reservation before 7pm in order to get the 9pm Fantasmic show seating). We are given a special menu for the fantastic package and we both decide to get the pork ribs plate accompanied by steamed broccoli, bacon potato salad and a tiny s'mores bar. We also get a soft beverage of choice too. After putting our order in, the pick up window is directly behind the cashier and our order came out fast. After we got our trays of food and drinks, we found a table on the second floor overlooking the river. There were a good amount of patrons seated everywhere but enough tables to be spaced out between people. Everything tasted really good from the 4 pieces of ribs packed with flavor, the soft broccoli and the sweet s'mores. The bacon potato salad was OK. It comes with a pre-packaged set of utensils and napkins but a wet napkin would have been nice (I used my sanitizer wipes and it burned my face LOL). I saw a Disney park employee spray and wipe down a table nearby so it's nice to see that the dining area is sanitized and clean between patrons. The bathrooms were clean too but old and has seen better days. We received our printed vouchers for our 9pm Fantasmic reservations and it made our viewing of the show a little more comfortable experience and we had a great view. I think it was worth the $35 per adult meal so for the two of us + tax it was ~$75 to have enjoyed a delicious meal and a great place to sit to watch Fanstasmic :)

Yelp
There are plenty of other places to eat while you're in Disneyland. Don't waste your time here. The food is below mediocre. It's also a far walk from the main area of the park.

Yelp
With so many options inside disney we decided to check this place out as we have eaten here a couple times and has a great atmosphere and a lot of seating so usually not a problem to find seating like some of the other restaurants inside disney. We ended up trying the bacon cheeseburger and the honey spiced chicken sandwich , The bacon cheeseburger was really good the only downside is whatever sauce they put on top of it was just way to much and made a mess but overall the burger was good and I would get again. The chicken sandwich was juicy and really good as well and along with the fries which were crispy and hot. We also decided to get a side of onion rings which were 5$ and you only get 5 so definitely not a great deal but atleast they were good. Now the reason I'm giving 4 star rating is the service , the person taking the order was fast and efficient but the lady giving out the orders seemed to be lost and I saw atleast 10 people get there orders before me that ordered after me. The other shining light was the gentleman cleaning tables he was great he was cleaning and taking trays from everyone and super nice .

Yelp
Service was good but the food was very delicious especially our spicy chicken sandwich because it was literally spicy. Our fries were nice and some were crunchy. We did order a side of onion rings, I didn't like they only give you like 6 onion rings (boohoo) but regardless were crunchy the way I like them. I will have to return because I did like their spicy chicken sandwich the most.

Yelp
Hungry Bear is meh. They have convenient Mobile Food Ordering --Select a window of time upon ordering, then select "I'm here!" and they will start preparing your order. You receive a notification when your order is ready and which window to pick up. This place gets busy as soon as it opens for lunch and it can get tricky to find a table. The outside seating tables are very close to other tables and chairs. If you prefer a table without other people encroaching in your space, then search out a table further away from the ordering window towards the back. The Honey Spiced Chicken Sandwich $12.99 was a fried chicken breast with dry HOT seasonings on random areas of the chicken. It was terrible and burned my mouth with whatever the spicy seasonings were. What's the "honey" part of the chicken? They should just leave it plain and add pickles and BBQ sauce instead. It's served with choice of a Cutie orange or (cold) fries. They offer a vegan burger option -- Impossible Cheeseburger -- $13.29, served with a Cutie or fries. For $1 more, you can substitute for Onion Rings. The onion rings were decent - crisp and crunchy.
google avatar

Natasha G.

Yelp
We used mobile order for ease of pick up, but find that it's not easy to modify items. For instance, I would have liked a side of the red pepper queso for my fries that came with my burger, but was unable to order that. We both had the current bbq bacon cheeseburger. The onion ring was overcooked and when we took a bite, the whole piece of onion pulled out and was inedible. And it was a crazy mess. The burger itself was okay. The bacon wasnt cooked to my liking and ended up being tossed. So I definitely feel like with the bacon and onion rings not even edible, the burger was grossly overpriced. I also find it ridiculous that even though the soda costs the same as other sodas around disney property, you cannot get a refill here. Pizza planet the soda costs the same and you are welcome to refill at the drink station.
google avatar

Yelp
As far as restaurants go at Disneyland this one is pretty alright. It's out of the way in Critter Country and is a good stopping point between galaxy's edge and critter country / New Orleans square for food or just a restroom stop. Because of it's location it also isn't that crowded and there is plenty of seating. We ordered the Chili Mac Cheeseburger, the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich and the Honey Funnel Cake. The burger wasn't bad, but also wasn't amazing. The funnel cake was sweet with honey and pretty good. The ice cream melted and turned into a sweet honey cereal dessert. The tomato sandwich was surprisingly delicious, tangy, and flavorful.
google avatar

Neen M.

Yelp
It's so rare to find a decent salad in Disneyland believe it or not but this is a good alternative. The BBQ chicken salad is simple and flavorful and sweet enough w/ the BBQ sauce that you feel it's a "treat" To be honest I don't care for theme park food that much anymore (it slows me down for the day) so the food options are sometimes slim pickings for me. Thank goodness for this option as it's ones of my lunch go-to's when I'm in the park often.

Yelp
Located towards Critters Country, Hungry Bear Restaurant has a large spacious shaded area to relax and snack. Ordering made simple with Mobile Order through Disneyland App. They give a set window of time for you to pick up your food. My friend and I were particular hungry and ordered 2 cheeseburgers, chili cheese fries and funnel cake. The burger was fine although it was a little too cold for my liking, the chili cheese fries were good and I would say no to the funnel cake. (would put my money on the mickey beignets at the Mint Julep Bar instead). Overall it was okay. But still a great place to sit and relax.

Yelp
We ordered ahead so we could make our next ride reservation, but the order was still quite late. The pick up section was poorly organized, with some lines way longer than others and no flexibility in switching lines from the one you were assigned - despite all the lines operating the same. Honey spiced chicken sandwich w/ onion rings ($13) - Pretty filling meal for the price. The onion rings were nice and crispy, and you can ask for ranch/bbq sauce on top of the ketchup and mustard stations already provided. However, the sandwich left much to be desired. The chicken was not crispy and rather flavorless. No sweet or spicy sauce could be detected. From what we saw when picking up our food and from how it tastes, all the food has been sitting out so definitely not fresh. Super crowded even off-peak lunch hours.

Yelp
We came to the park in the beginning of May and I just had to try the fried green tomato sandwich cause I guess years ago this was a big thing and they have changed it up a bit. Now it was a busy day so we didn't get the sandwich right away so it was warm at all and I think if there was a bit more of the mascarpone cheese spread it would have been a real winner!!! For $11.79 and it comes with fries , I would totally get again . Of course there was a new seasonal funnel cake he cookies and cream funnel cake $8.99 and it's a chocolate funnel with cookie and cream ice cream , little teddy bear cookies and whipped cream plus powered sugar. Guys, I liked this so much better than the red velvet they did in February, it's a must try plus it always feeds my family of 5 when we want a sweet treat.

Yelp
Hungry Bear is a great spot to satisfy your hunger with plenty of seating and a view of the Rivers of America and the train. I recommend ordering through the mobile app as the line can get long throughout the day. Magic Key pass discounts also apply. The menu has something for everyone, including those with diet and food restrictions. From breakfast to lunch and dinner, desserts to delicious entèes. Lately, I've been enjoying the seasonal items. Many unique choices make it great for those that visit the parks often. Recently I ordered the returning Fried Green Tomato Sandwich and new sweet treat, Peach Honey Tea Slush. Both were delicious; though the slush was a bit too sweet for me this time, the chunks of peach added a nice touch. The slush also comes with whip cream, which I opted not to include. The burgers are another favorite, including the onion rings and fun desserts. Service is friendly, and food prep is relatively quick. I've had no significant issues dining here.

Yelp
Food wasn't as fresh as I would have liked. Nothing amazing just strips and fries. Service was not the greatest the order taker seemed annoyed by us there. Nice atmosphere with plenty of clean tables.

Yelp
A little more than 20 years ago, this was my first place of work. I helped in the kitchen prepping orders, and used to sneak the Mickey chicken nuggets because they tasted so yummy. I have eaten here a few times since then and loved their cheeseburgers. No more! My family went here yesterday and ordered a kids hamburger, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was boring and hard. So much so that it couldn't be finished. The chicken tenders were hard as well. Everything was just thrown into the little food boat trays and there were fries all over the plastic carrying tray. As though no care was taken in putting together the meals people are paying a bit too much for, considering. The other part of the experience that stuck with me was listening to the 3-5 employees who stood around the trash cans the entire hour we were there. Just talking and talking. Joking about how they come to work because the trash can missed them. This visit was one of many and it's obvious both the food quality and customer service has really slacked in the last few years. What used to be a favorite food option is now one I'll try to avoid on a future visit.

Yelp
Hungry Bear Restaurant is located in Critter County at Disneyland California. It's right across from Splash Mountain and next to the Winnie the Pooh Ride. There are two levels of seating available at Hungry Bear Restaurant. The top deck and the bottom deck. The top deck had the most table seating available. We ended up taking a table towards the exit for Hungry Bear Restaurant on the second level that overlooked Tom Sawyer's Island. I was craving the seasonal red velvet funnel cake with strawberry ice cream and cream cheese icing. We also ordered a hot chocolate. Annual Passes are accepted at Hungry Bear Restaurant. Once you pay, you bring your receipt to the counter and Disneyland team members will prepare the order. We waited less than 5 minutes for the red velvet funnel cake and hot chocolate. I was so excited to eat it! The Red Velvet Funnel cake looked phenomenal, however, the taste was not. The deep fried red velvet funnel cake had no taste. It was stale and cold. The Strawberry Ice Cream was good, but the cream cheese icing was too overpowering for the red velvet funnel cake and the strawberry ice cream. All you could taste was the cream cheese icing on it. I wouldn't order that seasonal offering again. I'd just order a normal funnel cake. The hot chocolate was okay, but I felt the hot chocolate we ordered the evening before at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café at Disneyland was a lot better!

Yelp
I've never tried this place given all the dozen times I've been in the parks. The first time I try it I was a bit disappointed. The meat didn't seem to be cooked right. Got a bad tummy ache after eating one of the burgers. The soda also tasted pretty watered down. The workers are nice though and I like how open the seating is here with a bathroom right underneath.

Yelp
Only ordered a beverage at Hungry Bear, and was slightly confused by the ordering/pick-up process. I ordered my drink at the register, then proceeded toward the pick up windows with a herd of people, and waited for my name or drink to be called. After 15 minutes, another customer told me I needed to give my receipt to the window, then they will make my order. I had no idea! Once I gave one of the workers my receipt, my drink was out in no time. I wish I had known, or been given better direction on how the line worked. The drink itself was super sweet. Refreshing for a hot day, but I couldn't finish the whole drink myself. Also tasted mainly like a peach slushy; I did not taste the tea aspect of the drink. Plenty of shady seating. The top seating deck was extremely crowded, but there was also seating below the restaurant, which was nearly empty! A nice spot to get out of the sun with not too many people around.

Yelp
I have to first compliment the staff. They were so nice and friendly and helpful. The cashier was so helpful when explaining about the food. She saw I was a little stressed due to being the only one with two handicapped family members. She made me feel more at ease. When looking for a table to accommodate our needs, it was obvious it was not accessible like it should be. They had an area to park your wheelchair or scooter then walk to the table, but what about those who can not walk to the table? I asked a worker if we could park on the wall inside so I could sit at a table by them. Since it wasn't busy he said no problem. People who are more than capable of walking took the tables next to the handicap parking. The food was pretty good, but the size was lacking for what you pay for. It was ready really quickly, and I love how the impossible burger is cooked separately from the beef. So thank you to the employees for being so great, but it needs to be more handicap accessible so families can eat together. One of my family members has a hard time walking, but she can short distances. However, I saw many who don't have the option to walk and would not have been able to eat with their family inside.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to their Honey Funnel Cake. I placed a mobile order and it was a bad decision. I didn't get my order until about 30 minutes after I let the system know that I was there waiting and that's after having to follow up with the cast members a few times. It seems they gave my order to someone else or something because I watched them clear the walk up line twice and my order was still not ready. The food itself was terrible. The gelato was melted, the funnel cake was cold, and the honey cereal was stale. I informed City Hall of my experience and got my order refunded.

Yelp
This has been the best Disney food we've eaten so far! Surprisingly very yummy and very fast. It was convenient that we preordered online and they prepare it when you arrive. Food was very warm, super tasty, lots of flavor. The mulled cranberry punch was a little TOO mulled for me, but still enjoyed. We really loved the spicy bacon burger, it included some peppers and a spicy sauce that were mild but added so much flavor. Overall, this was fast, warm and tasty. Recommend!

Yelp
It's located in Critter county next to Winnie the Pooh and is on the route towards Galaxy's Edge. There are two levels of seating and usually the top deck is packed as the views of Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain, Railroad, etc are a nice background when enjoying a meal. Red Velvet Funnel Cake - cream cheese icing and strawberry ice cream. This was excellent. The cream cheese icing went really well with the red velvet. The strawberry ice cream added another layer of texture and flavor to the funnel cake. Having crunchy, warm, gooey with something cold is very interesting. The whipped cream was a nice touch, but to use wasn't necessary as the funnel cake was sweet enough with the cream cheese icing. Spicy BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger - this burger was ok. This reminded me of the BBQ bacon cheeseburger from Carls Jr/Hardy's OR the rodeo cheeseburger from Burger King, but with some jalapeños. I would put both those above this one.
