"I eat from Hungry Joe's often. I love the stew peas with pigtail, and the stew peas with beef. I love the red peas soup. Their fried chicken: I only take it when it's freshly done, because I like my fried chicken hot. Wherever I'm getting fried chicken from, it has to be hot. I always give them a 30-minute heads up that I'm coming so they can just cook it fresh for me. Like...I'll wait. Even if I'm hungry, I would really thug it out for that chicken. I went expecting some fish. It was absolutely disappointing. Not fresh and dry. Slapped with onions and bellepper. I paid $34 for this. I called them and they just said sorry. No effort to make it right. Businesses fail to realize when they don’t take responsibility for poor product, they suffer the consequences of ratings, which cost them way more than to satisfy a customer when they are served poor food. others will read this and will not come to this restaurant. Had they done right by me as a customer and offered me something different. You would not be reading this. It is fair game For businesses who give poor product, but take hard earned money from their customers. You can see the bone and see how small this fish was.

I’ve been to this restaurant at least 6 times & let me tell you The customer service is the least of this restaurants worries. It’s the consistency of the food that is the PROBLEM. Every time I’ve ordered food I’ve kept my fingers crossed because it’s usually a MISS before a HIT. The rice and peas is always mushy, beef patties are either too salty or crust isn’t cooked properly. The way the food is prepared, cooked and served needs to be the MAIN priority. I thought the fried chicken was the only safe thing to order but today has proven me wrong again. I ordered a small fried chicken ONLY and received a small wing and nothing but chicken back. All BONE no meat. Worst of all the chicken was burnt old and dry plus you can taste that it was fried in OLD oil. I felt worst that I even spent my money on something not edible. It’s been a minute since I’ve been here but their oxtails plate and chicken curry are so flavorful. Their veggies are well seasoned, along with their rice and beans. Plantains are good but I prefer more veggies over getting the plantains. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the parking and even when you phone in an order, it still took forever to get your food. But it’s been a minute since I’ve been here so hopefully that’s gotten better.

If you're looking for Jamaican food look no further. Some of the best Jamaican food I've ever had. Everything tastes amazing. Portions are big and everything is hot and fresh. Definitely place a call in order to make sure that items are still available. (Especially for patties). My favorite items are the Oxtail, Curry Goat, and Short ribs! The earlier you get there the better chance items aren't sold out. They're one of the only places I've been where they show you your food everytime to make sure it's correct. Tip the workers too!

Sooo good! This is my first review I’ve ever written in my life cause I left like they deserved it. Food 10/10!!! Depending on what time you go it could take 10-20 mins for your food to come out but it’s so worth it!! So flavorful with great portions I ordered small plates and they were still pretty big. I tried it on a whim and have been going there ever since and I’ll be back today lol. I’m from the south and it’s so hard to find actual food with flavor here my go to spot anytime I’m in Inglewood! Get the brown stew chicken you won’t regret it.

The food at this restaurant is exceptionally delicious, the young lady at the counter that takes payment and render orders is so sweet and has great customer service. This place is crowded so there is a slight wait time for your food, it’s best to call and then pick up. I definitely recommend.

We came here to see if the reviews lived up to the hype and it did lol. The oxtails were full of flavor and the curry chicken was good, but not better than the oxtails. I LOVED their rice and beans that comes with the plate, I can’t tell what they put it in but it’s sort of sweet and it’s really good. The cabbage was seasoned well too. You get really large portions which justifies the cost. Overall, I was pleased and would come here again.

The oxtail plate was a satisfying meal overall. While the oxtails themselves lacked a strong flavor profile, they were incredibly tender and fell off the bone effortlessly. The accompanying plantains, cabbage with beans, and rice were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I'm eager to return and try their patties and jerk chicken. Rating: 4.5/5
