Yelp
Such a unique place to visit. Inside the Cavalier hotel, you make your way through the neighborhood to a lovely layout to enter the hotel. It feels grand and welcoming but also, a feeling you are about to spend a few dollars!
You go through the main entrance spiraling down some stairs towards the Hunt Room. I will say the feeling was a bit eerie but at the same time, very cool and exciting to see what is next. Once inside, you'll immediately notice the impressive, wood-burning fireplace, accompanied by comfortable couches where you can unwind or wait for your table.
The right side of the restaurant provides a perfect ambiance for enjoying your meal, while the left side, which houses the bar, offers a slightly more vibrant atmosphere. The overall design features dark wood and a masculine aesthetic, complemented by the smokey aroma of cocktails being crafted by the mixologists. This setting, is ideal for a romantic evening or a casual night out, tailored to your preferences.
We usually order a few drinks and some appetizers, so I can't offer a firsthand account of the main courses. However, based on appearances, everything I've seen looks delicious, and I can confidently endorse the appetizers, especially the Brussels sprouts, which I found truly to be "the bomb"!
One thing I didn't like was the Valet experience. Although I get it, it felt a bit forced and almost irritating to get your car. It felt if you didn't give them what they wanted, you would have to go to battle getting your own car. I let that slide and I guess par to a place of this nature but be aware of that. Don't lose your ticket, have cash or make sure that is accounted for otherwise, you may be outside having words flying back and forth lol.
Just a tiny thing but this is a vibe for sure worth experiencing especially for socializing, meeting people, dating, romantic, casual... it covers it all.
