This was my first time to visit Hunter's. I moved into the area just before the end of the world and did not have the opportunity to stop in. Passing by the location nearly everyday when searching for my next career move, I would see this solid door in the back corner of a small strip center, wondering just how small of a place this was. The big day was Friday night, my friend and I stopped in for one drink about 7 pm or so. When walking up to this very intimidating solid door I was expecting a hired greeter, but no none of the first words I have accepted as normal no "ID!" No "WAIT OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT"BECAUSE THERE ARE 2 people a head of you (and the capacity was well over 100, there was no "WE DO NOT HAVE A PUBLIC BATHROOM" Instead I heard from one employee, "Gentleman you must be new, How you ever been here before?" Then the soul bartender came to a complete stop and said " welcome to OUR bar!!!" In less than 60 seconds on a Friday at prime time not one but TWO staff members made sure that we knew that they knew we were there and they were happy about it! They gave a brief history and a guided tour! Within a few minutes the other server came and did the same. These three staff members were talking to us As if we were old friends and very very respectfully but also very down to earth. First Thank you to OUR servers Josel & Kayla awesome service! And thank you to OUR Bartender Theresa! PLEASE NOTE the pronouns used, there was no mistake these were not employees, not a few waitresses and a bartender, it was clear we were their GUESTS and they were OUR servers & Bartender. This level of hospitality I mean genuine hospitality, not the memorized quotes from a training manual that probably originated with Dale Carnage ("seek first t understand, then to be understood") these are excellent words of wisdom but when you have them taught to you by a drill Sargent trainer, it was great to hear, feel, and see sincerity and made to feel welcome, and that they were thankful for our presence, for the first time in a very very long time as guest I felt that I was important enough to the business to make sure they made a first impression my friend and I would not soon forget, if at all! Let's review.. how long had my friend and planned to stay? The time of one drink (about an hour having arrive around 7 we are planning on being hone by 8:30 or 9 at the latest) well these ladies, true professionals made us feel so welcome and comfortable it was 4 am before Don Julio got us home.
GO TO HUNTER'S PUB, IT ROCKS! Don't call just go you will not regret it!!! Thank you guys!
