D.C.’s Essential Vietnamese Restaurants | Eater DC

"Huong Viet has been a standout restaurant in Falls Church’s Eden Center for decades. Here, dishes like crab fried rice, ban xeo (crepes) and grilled rice vermicelli are treated with care. The lemongrass pork chops are a highlight here. For something lighter, go with the sweet and sour pineapple and tamarind soup." - Missy Frederick

Tucked inside the always-buzzing Eden Center, Huong Viet has long been my go-to spot for authentic Vietnamese food, especially when I’m craving a family-style dinner that feels like home. The menu is full of classics, and everything is cooked with soul — from the crispy spring rolls to the sizzling bánh xèo, and the always flavorful shaky beef. Their hot pot and pho are also spot-on, perfect for sharing on a cool day or when you just want comfort in a bowl. What I love most is the consistency. No matter when I go, the food hits the mark. The space is simple and unpretentious, but that’s part of the charm — it’s about the food and the people you share it with. Service is fast, friendly, and familiar. Just a heads-up: they’re cash only, so come prepared. And yes, it gets crowded, especially on weekends — but that’s a good sign. If you’re looking for a place that delivers true Vietnamese flavor, no shortcuts, no fuss, just good food the way it’s meant to be — Huong Viet never disappoints.

Good authentic Vietnamese spot with some decent food for the area. I had the MI Do Bien (Seafood with Egg Noodle), Banh Xeo (Viet crepe), banh canh tom cua (crab with large rice noodle), and the pork short ribs. I thought all of the dishes were good in short, but not exceptional. Very typical Vietnamese fare food. The Banh Xeo had tons of bean sporuts and good amounts of shrimp which i appreciated. It was also crisp and served with a good amount of carrots. I did wish they included more lettuce. The fish sauce served with it was nice too; not too overpowering. Something in the banh xeo though was oddly sweet. It did catch me off guard. Good nonetheless. The Mi Do Bien was good and the egg noodle was nicely cooked. Tasted like the store bought noodles you can get at the supermarket. Portion was good and there was a good amount of seafood and fixings. The broth itself was very lightly flavored; makes for a good hangover soup. The banh canh tom cua was also nice. Noodles were not too soft and there was a ton of flavor in the broth and crab. I'm not too much a crab lover but I thought the dish was good. The caramelized pork chops had a very distinct soy flavor, almost Chinese-carryout-esque. Super savory and paired well with rice. Tasted sort of like typical braised Chinese short ribs. Overall, a decent spot for the area if you are looking for Viet food. If you don't like this place though, I'm sure you can find another at the Eden center where the restaurant is located. There are a ton of Viet restaurants and shops around there.

After wrapping up guitar lessons, I like to treat myself to something new across the street at Eden Center. This week's adventure led me to Huong Viet - and with all the Washingtonian awards lining the wall, I had a good feeling I was in for something special. Heads up: It's cash only. If you forget, you can pay via Zelle. In my case, that didn't go through. Thankfully, there's an ATM just a few steps away. Exit the restaurant, turn left, and walk to the end of the strip. Despite the hiccup, the staff was patient and kind while I figured things out. Service here was very good. Attentive, welcoming and never rushed. To drink I ordered the lychee smoothie. Instead of boba, I'm pretty sure it had actual lychee balls at the bottom. It was on the sweeter side, so next time I'll ask for less sugar. Overall it hit the spot. I kicked off with the crispy spring rolls. Not the healthiest option, but absolutely worth it. Packed with ground pork, crab, and shrimp, they were perfectly friend and bursting with flavor. A solid roll. Next up were the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. These were light, refreshing, and balanced out the crispy indulgence nicely. For my main, I went with the Shaky Beef. The manager gave me a tip: Dip each bite in a bit of scratch and make sure to scoop up the veggies with the beef. The combination was delicious. The beef cubes were thick, tender, and full of flavor. The veggies and rice rounded out the dish beautifully. Eden Center has no shortage of great spots, but Huong Viet definitely stands out. Ill be back.. and next time, I won't forget to bring cash.

Huong Viet serves delicious food—everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only downside is that they accept cash only, so make sure to come prepared. Overall, a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

Google
Solid food and service. It’s a casual setting for what is a busy restaurant because the food is good. There are great flavor profiles so you won’t be disappointed. There’s plenty of parking so it’s easy to get to. The only downside is it’s a cash only place, but that’s no reason not to go. My wife and I both had the carmelized lemongrass pork chops with chilies while my son had stir fried beef with spicy satay sauce. For appetizers we had crispy spring rolls. Everything was so flavorful.

Google
The food here is amazing!!! Very authentic. I had bun Bo hue, mom had chao long. Both dishes were very delicious. The service was the downside. No one greeted us as we entered the sign say wait to be seated. We were seated and needed a high chair, but no one offered or asked if it was needed. I had to look around to find one and get it for myself. After being seated for a few moments, our server came over and took drink orders but didn't say hi or ask how we were doing or welcome, immediately asked what we wanted for drinks. The servers all sit on the back corner talking and on their phones, which takes the atmosphere down a notch. There probably isn't space in the back, which is fine but it was one server at a separate table shouting back and forth to each other when they can just be sitting together at one table. Cash only, luckily mom had cash because I never have cash. It's 2025, it should be cash only for a proper sit down restaurant like this place.

We love this restaurant and drive from Baltimore to indulge when we can. The Chinese 5 spice duck pho is phenomenal!!

Google
One of my favorite spots in Eden center. Known for their variety choices of different foods. Note: CASH ONLY!!!!! My favorites to get from here is com tam (broken rice combination)z Their meat is phenomenal and seasoned just right and also tender. *Banh canh cua (crab udon) : Love this dish the most. The only place in eden I know that sells it and it’s always delicious. The portion is HUGE so it usually takes me 2 seating to eat it all. *Bún Tom cang (large shrimp vermicelli) : my grandma favorite. The only place that have this dish here. Also large portion so she eats it for the whole day. Service is always great. The only thing is that they do get really crowded here for lunch time and on the weekends so go early!

Yelp
I wish I had came here when I was less full because their bun bo hue was really good! It came with some shrimp paste on the side, which is rare! Their portions are also huge! My mom and I should have shared a bowl. Anyways, this is a true Viet place as their menu is mostly in Vietnamese. They also have fresh cane sugar! This restaurant is located in an outdoor mall area, and is surrounded by Vietnamese restaurants and groceries.

Yelp
This place was alright. The decor is nice, ceiling is pretty. Service was good from the majority of the staff except our waiter haha. We ordered a variety of foods. My aunt really liked her quail noodle soup, she slurped it up. We had the #1&#2 spring rolls, I liked them both. My beef lemon grass rice was ok. Rice was on the harder side, the fam likes it softer. I'd come back to eat. The food was alright. Compared to New York, it's pricier, dishes were mostly $17 -$19ish. Cash only! Tip included !

Yelp
I came here after work with a friend as I heard great things. I ordered the special with pork and broken rice, egg, and meatloaf, which was amazing . I thought the pork had great flavor, and the portions were quite large to my surprise. We also ordered the spring rolls which was OK but I did enjoy the spring roll sauce that it was paired with . Something a note is said they do not take credit card or checks here and only operate on cash only for payment. I'm kind of surprised that they're only cash only considering that a lot of the shops within Eden center do take credit cards now which I thought was a little weird that this local mom and Pop shop still only take cash as a form of payment.

Yelp
We have been coming here for nearly two decades. Our go-to for Vietnamese food. We had spring rolls (shrimp, crab, and pork), seafood fried rice, chicken curry, grilled pork chops, and caramelized pork chops with lemongrass. Service is good. The only downside is that they don't take credit card. Cash only. They won't get a fifth stsr if this is not an option.

Yelp
The noodles are super good here, but the service is extremely bad. I have waited for 10 mins besides the door, waiting for they queue us or ask us how many people in the party, but NONE of them come, all staffs are walking around and ignore us. Until we almost decide to leave, they said oh there are seats that will be available soon. But for the food, all of them taste super good, very local, traditional Vietnam noodle. I love the spring roll so much, very crispy and crunchy!

Yelp
Huong Viet has won many Best Bargain restaurant awards from the Washingtonian. Its prices are reasonable but I think they are comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants. It has a large selection of dishes. I tried the vermicelli with grilled pork and spring rolls. The spring roll is crispy and the veggies are fresh. Overall it is a good choice for a casual dining experience. The restaurant accepts cash only.
google avatar

Yelp
Huong Viet is the template for what I expect at the Eden Center. Important note - this is a CASH ONLY venue; they advertise that fact heavily so don't act shocked when they don't take your credit card. I visited for an early Saturday lunch but it quickly filled up (it may have been even busier because of the pending Lunar New Year). My group were probably the only non-Asians (and I assume non-Vietnamese) in the restaurant...which is a good sign this place is authentic. First off; they have a HUGE menu, so picking something was difficult. There was a small language barrier in placing my order but an English speaking server came up to answer questions (and provide suggestions). Apparently they specialize in hot pot so that's what I ordered, with a side of quail. My group also ordered a few side dishes as well. In summary - we liked to loved everything. Prices were reasonable...but being cash only was admittedly a pain. Fortunately there's an ATM machine around the corner.

Yelp
What can I say? Huong Viet is a solid staple and has always been. Has it gone down a little in terms of quality? Yes. Could it benefit from slightly smoother service? Of course. But all in all, it provides the best array of food if you're a pho-fanatic but also adventurous to try all the different types of dishes on the menu. It provides enough of a selection for even those well versed in Vietnamese food to have more to try.

Yelp
Very delicious! Everything we tried was great. The crab fried rice had so much crab meat in it. The rolls were fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of seating inside with good ambiance. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while in Eden center and went full out for noodles. We got bun Bo hue and the combination Lo mein. Lo mein was served with sauce on the side which actually makes the food that much better. The taste of everything was perfectly balanced. Not too salty, not too spicy but just right. It is cash only here so best to come prepared. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Huong Viet isa causal Vietnamese eatery located in the very busy Eden Center. They are open from 10am so when we went around 10:30am, there wasn't a wait and parking was a breeze. But as soon as we left, the place (and the entire block tbh) was packed! Banh Xeo is my favorite Vietnamese dish of all time. There are over 100 items on the menu but as soon as I saw Banh Xeo, I knew I had to order it. The pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. It was packed full of shrimp, pork, bean sprouts, and herbs (e.g., basil leaves) on the side. Every bite was delicious - the savory umami from the protein, the freshness of the veggies, and a tinge of sweetness from the sauce. My friends got the chicken pho and grilled pork vermicelli, and they were all very impressed. I will definitely come back to visit! It is CASH only so make sure you are prepared before your visit!

Yelp
I LOVE this place!!! The young lotus root salad is SO good! The BBH is ok here, but the grilled meats are really flavorful and tender!

Yelp
Amazing food and great service! I love the quail dish the most but everything else is delicious

Yelp
I went to Eden Center with my siblings and they had saw this had got good reviews, so we decided to give it a shot and the reviews were spot on. It was a small-ish size restaurant that was bumpin. We got there a little early but mid way through eating our food, there was a line outside the door. I got the vermicelli lemon grass noodle dish and,omg it was amazing! Meat was tender and flavorful. My sibling got pho (not pictured) and that was bomb, too.broth was oily but tasted clean at the same time. FYI: they ONLY take cash here. No plastic. If anyone or decide to go to Eden Center -- DEF recommend this place!! BINGO!

Yelp
Came in here on a Sunday, and was seated right away. Ordered the famous quail, fried shrimp cakes and Bun Bo hue. Huong Viet Famous Roasted Quails: it was a little salty/saucy for me, but it was just right as per a friend. Fancy Fried Shrimp Cake: not my favorite, but it was decent wrapped with lettuce and fish sauce. Bun Bo hue: my goal is to find the best bun Bo hue whenever I traveled domestic or international. This dish did not disappoint, it was flavorful, and packed with enough spice. My first bun Bo hue that needed no additional condiments. Highly recommend.

Yelp
With peace and love, some of these reviews are dramatic. It is a hole in the wall restaurant that been there for years. I would recommend else where if that does not appeal to you. With that being said, I have been coming to Huong Viet since I was child and have always enjoyed the food! My go to is the Crispy Egg Noodles. The dish is a bed of crispy noodles with a variety of protein and vegetables covered in a savory brown sauce. It is a generous portion and always comes out hot. More than likely can be shared between two people. I also always get the Thai Iced Tea w/ Jelly, it is authentic, sweet, and creamy. Sometimes I go in just to get the Thai tea! The only reason I knocked down a point is because as of recently prices seem to have increased and are high. Although, I will still be going here when I am at the Eden Center!
google avatar

Yelp
Def one of the better viet places in eden center! Food was pretty decent! We loved the spring roll (cha gio) so meaty, and perfectly fried! Don't reco the quail since it was pretty sweet
google avatar

Daniel Dat N.

Yelp
Huong Viet Restaurant epitomizes the quintessential hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese eatery. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is surprisingly clean, offering a plethora of traditional Vietnamese dishes. Service is prompt and efficient, ensuring that food arrives swiftly. Opting for the bun thit nuong cha gio, I found it to be the standout dish among our selections. The crispy egg roll was generously filled and complemented by an array of meat, vegetables, and noodles. While my cousin enjoyed the fat noodles with pork, my aunt found the duck with bamboo noodle soup and salad to be somewhat lacking in flavor and duck meat. It's worth noting that this establishment only accepts cash and that the prices are slightly higher compared to other Vietnamese eateries. Despite this, overall, our experience was positive.

Yelp
So good. Definitely recommend. Service was fast and food was so fresh. Price has definitely gone up but food is worth it. Would visit again.
google avatar

Hailey L.

Yelp
I tried Bun Bo Hue, pho, and spring roll. I would not recommend spring roll. The rice wrapper was very dry. For noodles, flavor was GREAT and there were plenty of MEATS, but noodles were too little and mostly cut off for Bun bo hue. I had to search for the noodles when I got it. Service was ok, but be mindful that they ONLY accept CASH which caught us off guard. There is not even other options like venmo. The ambiance was ok for family or casual dining.
google avatar

Lili E.

Yelp
Good food good price, family meal, casual place and don't wear your best clothes or white shirt. Enjoy the food, everything on the menu is to die for. Don't expect to stay on a diet, just enjoy the food.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
If you do Cash only, you should post a sign in the front door or somewhere could catch customers's attention. I haven't been back to Huong Việt for a while cause of a bad take-out experience last time. We decide to dine-in this time. Nothing changes!! Pho, rice dishes, appetizers are extremely disappointed. A Special Pho but no meatballs, no tendons (??!!) there are eye rounds and briskets only! Broth is tasteless!!!! Special rice dish is $18 with a piece of dried pork chop. The fish sauce come with rice isn't good ether!!! Don't trust Yelp reviews !!!
google avatar

Norman C.

Yelp
I came here with a group of 10 people on a Sunday morning for post-show eats. This place gives off no-frills vibes. And as you know, the more sketch/plain the decor, the more authentic and genuine the food is. This place is no exception! I got the Pho Tai, which is my usual go to. The noodles, broth, and everything was spot on. This is the pinnacle of Vietnamese comfort food. Would come back again if I was in the area. Also it is noteworthy that this is a cash-only restaurant.
google avatar

Tyrone Omar N.

Yelp
Huong Viet is a must try at the Eden Center. It is important to note that they only accept cash payments. Their service is very efficient. Their food is high quality flavors. I loved the way they sauteé their vegetables with the noodles. Their drunken noodles are also top-notch.
google avatar

Jacob H.

Yelp
Located smack dab in the middle of Eden Center'a restaurant flank, this establishment is your archetypal Vietnamese restaurant. I had lunch with my spouse and friends, and each dish hit the mark. Grilled meats tasted fantastic, and the pho was great as well. On a Sunday morning, it had plenty of customers but was not too packed. This place is a definite win and worth a local trip to enjoy. Bonus points for the convenience of being located next to some awesome bakeries and boba shops.
google avatar

Ed W.

Yelp
We were just in Vietnam a few months ago, and this place made us feel like we were back. The service was as expected. Not very friendly but very functional and prompt. The food was okay. The crispy spring roll that came with my Bun tasted like it was deep-fried in old oil. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.
google avatar

Yelp
What a fantastic find! I've grown to love the staples of Vietnamese cuisine including pho, banh mi and it's time I've ventured to other dishes. We walked into a warm and toasty restaurant filled with people and holiday spirits. We couldn't wait to sit down, lusting after all the dining tables and their yummy foods. The smells were absolutely amazing. The caramelized fresh water prawns were absolutely to die for. We put some rice in the sauce and absolutely LICKED the plate clean. The sweetness of the sauce went so well with the MEATY prawns. If you love the catfish taste, you'll enjoy the stone pot very much. The fish was so tender it just completely falls apart. And last but not least, the bun bo hue broth was so yummy. The noodles were chewy and just right. At any other times, I would've loved the spring rolls. The other items we ordered simply outshined the spring rolls. We will definitely come back and try other items.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
There's lots of great dining options in Eden Center and Huong Viet is a solid option with a long menu. The food was great and the service was fast, however giving 4 stars because we felt rushed at the end to leave by our waiter.
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
This is one of the few Vietnamese places I can go with my Vietnamese mom where she doesn't say, "I can make this better at home" after taking a bite of each dish. We tried the coconut snails for the appetizer which were good, but not the best you can get in Eden. The coconut sauce tasted a little too light and did not stick to the snails very well. I think I'll go back to one of my favorites here like the lotus root salad, baby clams, or beef wrapped in grape leaves. We always get the tamarind soup with fish and either the caramelized shrimp or caramelized fish. It's served with a large bowl of warm rice to share with the table. This family style kind of meal always makes me feel at home, even when I come without my family. The tamarind soup may start out a little sweet for us but it is served with a side of fish sauce and chilis that you can add to the soup until it fits your preference. The caramelized shrimp is infamous here! The shrimp is served with majority of the top part attached so that the delicious tomalley can flavor the broth but stay intact for you to eat. I like to mix the tomalley with my hot rice and enjoy it that way. Huong Viet is our go-to spot, as long as the wait isn't too long. If you're going on the weekend, expect a wait!
google avatar

Yelp
Bruh. Never in my life have I had viet food like this. I used to hate viet food because I didn't have really good options in NY. But this place was fire. The bun bo hue was sooooooo good. The soup was delicious and the pork meet was FALLING OFF THE BONE. It was so tender and juicy and just everything nice in life The spring rolls were pretty good as well. But it's also hard to go wrong with a fried spring roll This place is cash only
google avatar

Yelp
Located in an Asian plaza, I love how convenient this restaurant is as I can go grocery shopping, eat, and grab some boba after! Their menu has a huge variety of Vietnamese foods from rice dishes, to noodles, and small bites! In addition, the food is very authentic and delicious. The staff is very quick here but also pretty polite and kind. After ordering, we didn't have to wait long before all of the food came out, which was really nice as I was starving. All of the portions were huge and it would be a great place to also eat family style if you wanted. Overall, I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area and craving authentic Vietnamese food.
google avatar

Da K.

Yelp
My first time trying Vietnamese food, and I was so impressed! The food had such a warm, home-y feeling, and the portions are easy to split among a large group. I've been here twice now, and each time, it was so busy and packed. I'm not surprised why! The only complaint I have is that the layout of the restaurant makes it hard to walk through. The tables/chairs are packed together very closely, and the entrance of the restaurant is very narrow -- You practically have to shove your way past people, and when there's a wait, there's no place to sit/stand without getting in the way of others, which I find a little inconvenient. Overall, very authentic and high quality Vietnamese food! This place alone has made Vietnamese food one of my favorite Asian cuisines!!! Love it.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Bun Bo Hue was fantastic! Also the summer rolls were also great! Cash only! Service was great! Definitely would come back!
google avatar

Rosie D.

Yelp
I enjoyed our meal--it was just what I was hoping for. We were visiting family in Falls Church and asked for recommendations for good Vietnamese food for take out. A friend of the family recommended Huong Viet. We got the bun vermicelli noodles with pork, the Vietnamese crepes with beef, a fresh spring roll, and a fried roll. It came with fresh lettuce, mint which made everything taste so fresh. My aunt ordered the chicken with "Chinese broccoli" (aka boo choi)--it was good, too!

Tifah ..

Yelp
Food was mediocre. If this place is meant to be CASH ONLY, a sign is very much needed in all places. Gave them a tip, for them to say gratuity is 18%. Beware anybody dining here. Bring enough cash even if it's just a party of two.
google avatar

Jing K.

Yelp
An outstanding Vietnamese restaurant in Eden center. You really can't go wrong with any of the restaurants here including Huong Viet with all the standards and traditional dishes like bun Bo hue and the egg crepe.
google avatar

Arrt T.

Yelp
Nice sit-down Vietnamese restaurant. Best Pho I've ever had. The broth was tasty and rich, not too light. Plenty of meat and garnishes, noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls were crisp and flavorful. Servers were pleasant and speak english. Won't go anywhere else for authentic Vietnamese food in the DMV area.
google avatar

Justin C.

Yelp
When in Eden, do as the locals, and that's HV. Been here through the test of times, it's authentic viet fare, but you don't come here for the pho. Sure its still solid and will suffice but this place shines on it's family style dishes that are meant to be shared even though space is small and confined. When it's an asian place that's always packed and cash only, you can expect only good things and HV is no different. Consistently hits the spot though the cash only is a slight inconvenience, it's worth not getting those credit card points once in a while. Rarely do I go to a restaurant and try different dishes when I know what they're good for but HV is one of those exceptions where I don't mind exploring the menu and I happily say it's never disappointed. It's a spot I will always visit anytime I'm in the area to get my viet fix. stay fat mother suckers

Yelp
Second time back here and I am just constantly blown away by how terrific the food is. I have always been a big fan of Vietnamese food and this place definitely serves the most authentic Vietnamese food in DMV. My only gripe is that it is located really far away from DC metro area. All the entrees area absolutely delicious and two of us wiped the plates clean. The spicy index of the frog leg curry has met my expectations and I love the sweet chili sauce that comes along with the dishes. Service was really fast but this place is cash only.
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
In my opinion, it's the best Vietnamese food in a town known for its Vietnamese food. If you're after ambiance go to Rice Paper.
google avatar

Shweta S.

Yelp
Remember that the place is cash only. Old establishment, good food, limited vegetarian options. Probably should have paid more attention to the door sign that said cash only! Service could be better but food makes up for it
google avatar

Naty D.

Yelp
This review is not for their food but service. I wish we got the chance to eat here since we live 2,800 miles away. We chose this for the reviews on yelp and their somewhat late closing hours. After squeezing in some time in nearby rock climbing gym we were famished and excited to have some good food. We arrived half hour before closing only to be turned away because they were closing. We not only wasted 20 minutes getting there but also another 20 minutes trying to find another place open late nearby for dinner. I love small business especially mom and pops but if you're going to say you're open till 10:30pm then you should plan on being open till then. It's considered false advertisement otherwise. Customers rely on it and trust that businesses are true to their words, I digress.
google avatar

Joanne H.

Yelp
Are you pho real? Because this place is overpriced compared with metro NYC. The broth on the no. 25 Beef Noodle Soup with Steak and no. 53 Hue Beef Spicy Soup with Pork Hocks were tasty. The steak was tender and not chewy. The no.2 summer roll was what one would expect with two shrimps wrapped inside. Portions were standard. Fairly busy on an April Saturday afternoon, would recommend showing up a bit early to possibly avoid the wait. Really enjoyed the ceiling design in the dining room. Service wasn't the most friendly but got the job done. Cash only. All in all, the food at Huong Viet was fantastic, except for the price.
google avatar

Kamila A.

Yelp
Pho was good! I'm not a picky eater so I liked the pho, my boyfriend didn't like the shakey beef but he is a picky eater so we ended up just taking it home because I didn't want it to go to waste. Overall I give it a 3 because they only take cash, as I'm getting my card out everyone tells me cash cash cash and I didn't have any cash with me, so I had to get my boyfriend to run to the atm and get out cash. I'm now realizing that it does say on yelp they don't take cards! that was an awkward lunch situation but things happen, so just be prepared! I wouldn't come here again unless I'm just picking up pho to go. The service isn't too great and communication can be hard, but just be patient.

Yelp
This is one of the Eden Center's more popular restaurants, helped I'm sure by its perfect location in the center of all the action. However, the food is also pretty decent. They have good seafood and home cooking type Vietnamese options, and I have also enjoyed the shaking beef (which I call a steak salad and get yelled at by my Vietnamese wife for misidentifying it). Lots to chose from here. Don't expect amazing service though, and remember that they only take cash.

Yelp
I am absolutely baffled by the reviews. This has got to be some of the WORST food I have ever tried. I walked in on a weekday lunch and the place was empty, not a soul in site. Yet, it is filled with reviews on yelp on how "authentic" and "great" this place is. I ordered the egg rolls and soup, asking for chilli oil on the side. There were 8 people working in there and I was 1 customer yet it was hard to get their attention. The guy says he did not have chilli oil or chilli sauce. A vietnamese place with no chilli oil or chilli sauce? Egg rolls seemed like they were prepared before hand and microwaved and the soup made me want to barf with artificial ingredients. HOW are places like this able to be praised by so many yet have some of the WORST bood ever? Amazing. Thank you yelp for letting me down on this.

Yelp
I always forget to take pictures here because as soon as the food comes out, i scarf it down. My go-to is the Bun Bo Hue and Banh Xeo. The BBH is spicy, deep in flavor, and have the bounciest tastiest noodles with plenty of meat. While the Banh Xeo is crispy on the outside with sprouts, meat, shrimp inside. Wrap it with some lettuce and pickled carrots, dipped in the sauce and mmm so good. The service is a little chaotic but as with most authentic Asian restaurants, you don't really need great service. You order, you get your food, you get your water cup refilled, and you pay the check. Lastly, don't get to bring your cash. I swear every time I come here, there are at least two parties who don't have cash. There is an atm machine in the plaza but just come prepared.

Yelp
The soup broth is so good so authentic, good deal for that big portion with lots of beef inside. Pork chop rice platter, summer rolls crispy spring rolls are all super delicious and authentic.

Yelp
Don't sleep on the family style entrees. The bo luc lac (shakey beef), ca kho to (caramelized fish), tom cang kho tau (caramelized freshwater prawns), and stir fried snow peas are so flavorful and delicious over rice! But I am taking one star off for the fact that they don't tell you upfront that theres only 3 prawns in the caramelized freshwater prawns dish which cost $25! in some pictures, I see it's sometimes 4. Either way, I wish I knew beforehand that I was paying $8+ per shrimp (they were not very big prawns IMO). The banh xeo I had was not very crispy. And the caramelized roasted chicken dish was just okay. The chicken quality and texture could've been better. And last, I do continue to like coming to this restaurant for family style Vietnamese food, but with the amount of money they make...honestly, I think they can afford to do a little renovation / modernizing. The tables are always so sticky. It just doesn't feel very hygienic in there. You have to turn a blind eye to it if you want to eat there.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and was very accommodating to our pickiness. The eggroll was delicious. The pho beef broth was very flavorful. Hubby thought his steak was nice and tender. My favorite was definitely the bun rieu. So much crabmeat in it. The tomato broth was good and i love that type of noodle compare to pho noodles. When the check came the waiter requested cash so luckily i had some on me. Didnt realize they don't take credit cards
