The 29 Best Restaurants in Columbus, Ohio | Eater

"Originally opened under the name Phuong Hoang (“phoenix”), this family-owned restaurant has served traditional Vietnamese cuisine in Columbus since 2005. Casual, welcoming, and homey, Huong feels more like a family gathering than a formal restaurant. The extensive menu includes bun bo hue with spicy lemongrass soup; banh bot loc filled with pork, shrimp, and fried onions; and banh xeo do bien flavored with coconut milk and served with fish sauce. Huong is especially versatile at customizing carryout meals for different dining situations, packing meals to be reheated in the microwave or consumed immediately." - Angela Lee

Came during a huge lunch rush on a Saturday. My favorite Vietnamese place, brought my friend to try the cuisine for the first time and he's very impressed. We tried uncommon dishes and they hit!! The shrimp was grilled so well and the Vietnamese pork patty was so flavorful, those two were our favorites. Eating clean food after food poisoning has been a blessing during my recovery

It’s been awhile since my last visit here. Grilled pork chop cut is pretty thin cut now, but still good. This place, Mi Li Cafe and GC Pho are the current top 3 in Columbus for some good Vietnamese cuisine, coincidentally they are all hole in the wall kind of places. If you don’t mind that, select dishes are good at these restaurants. Their Banh Tet with pork (New year cake) is made year round it appears and is pretty good here.

Google
Quick Review: Honestly, such a gem to find since moving here. I love viet food🥲. SOLID southern style pho with a wide variety, well priced menu. The Bahn mi was also bomb, and will definitely try more fillings! Pro move is to get a Bahn mi, to eat with the pho. All the other apps/snacks were good add ons. Details: Atmosphere: Homey vibe with some 80s music in the background. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone’s kid was working the register. Service: you write down what you want on a server note pad. Might be weird for some, but I like it lol. The gentlemen serving us was so nice. Food: Pho Tai Nam *Overall Score (5/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5) unless you add jalapeños, Big Eater approved, clean flavor profile: Southern style pho has thinner noodles, with lots of toppings like beansprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and sauces. Everything cooked to perfection! Meat was tender, noodles were just right and the broth is sooooo soothing. Drank that jawn up at the end (not too salty). Only use sauce to dip meat in. Bahn Mi w Grilled Beef *Overall Score (4/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5) unless you add jalapeños, Big Eater approved: The sandwich is the size of my forearm. Comes with meat inside but all the toppings on the side. With that said you got to build your own sandwich. Fine with me, cuz I filled it up with all the jalapeños. Meat was flavorfully marinated. Pickled veg and toppings standard. The bread was soft and doesn’t cut up your mouth. Don’t want to impede stuffing this in my mouth. Pause. Guo Cuon Tom Thit *Overall Score (3/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5): Standard Spring roll. Peanut sauce was very savory. Cha Gio *Overall Score (4/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5): Super crispy and delicious filling. Good layering on the inside. My fiancé is very picky with fried spring rolls, and wanted me to give it 5/5 lol Chao Tom *Overall Score (3/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5): The shrimp cakes are a nice snack. Soft, chewy, good grill flavor. Would definitely rather have as a vermicelli or rice dish rather than by itself. Sugar cane skewer is fun to gnaw on afterward. *Overall Score (1-5) 1: actively avoid 2: rather not order 3: would rather cook, but would order if lazy 4: damn good 5: I am blessed to be eating this meal **Spicy scale (0-5): 0=no reason to be spicy 1=no detectable spice 2=not initially spicy, but after thoughts of spicy 3=initially spicy and some after thoughts of spice 4= initially spicy and need water to continue meal 5= need water on first bite and onward

Google
Absolutely delicious Vietnamese food. The banh mi is perfect: large, warm, crusty baguette stuffed covered in butter and stuffed with al the right ingredients. They give the veggies on the side sk you can choose your own adventure. Pair it with their peanut sauce and you have an absolutely perfect sandwich. Salted lemonade is the real deal. Salty sour and justbthe right amount of sweetness to be addictive. Save some room for the dumpling dessert (chè trôi nưrờc). The ginger syrup is tops. If you are in Columbus make the trip, its worth it.

When we first got here there was only one booth taken. We must have brought a blessing because it was full a few minutes after we came. The service is very good. They're constantly coming around. We like Vietnamese food. We love pho. We're comparing this to the other places that we've been to. There's a place in Dublin that the girls keep braving about. O However, our favorite place is in New York. By the pictures you can see what we ordered. Dad liked his veggie soup. My pho was good but not anywhere near as good as some of the others I've tasted. We all agreed on the grilled chicken. It's not bad but, again, compared to other places it's mediocre. The spring rolls weren't too bad. They were good. The sauce was very good as well. Would we come here again? If we're in the area and we want Vietnamese, probably. But it's not a place that I would go out of my way to come to.

Google
This is one of the most unique findings I have done in forever. The pho is the best I have had in America. I would rate them in the old world Asia dining. The flavors, fresh produce and teas were amazing. I would highly suggest if you are in the area give this Vietnamese restaurant a try. Absolutely amazing!!

Google
Huong is the best Vietnamese food in town for me. I always come here and have a great experience at this restaurant. The food was full of flavor and tasted very authentic—The customer service was good. The man so kind and welcoming when the lady so lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Google
Let me preface my actual review with a quick summary: a damn fine restaurant, a true authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Initially, I was hesitant to try this restaurant due to some of the weaker reviews/ratings, but multiple friends recommended I give this place a try. One friend specially recommended the rice dishes. Being the critical Vietnamese customer I am, however, decided to try the pho because that’s the true test for any vietnamese restaurant, passing the “can I make this at home” test. The bowl was very solid, broth rich and complex and meat portions especially generous given the price. I devoured the bowl and was left wanting more. Wish they had a slightly larger selection of greens but that’s commonplace nowadays. The place is very much no-frills but that’s what a Vietnamese restaurant should be—very little fuss, just the food and the company you bring along. The owner was ever present, running the tables pushing his little cart around. After speaking with him, he’s obviously very proud of his work here, keeping the quality high and the price low. You will not go wrong with this place. Personally, I cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
We were visiting Columbus and stopped by here for lunch. The food was good with a generous serving size!! We got the grilled beef banh mi, beef & shrimp rice vermicelli noodle salad, and egg rolls. Egg rolls were good--pretty standard/average. The banh mi came with the beef and pate on the bread & veggies on the side to assemble yourself. My partner didn't mind since he could add what he just wanted to. The rice vermicelli noodle salad/bun is pretty standard. However, the grilled beef in both dishes was star of the show & our favorite bite. It was delicious and had a nice char!! Fun throwback music playing on the TV. FYI, you write down your order yourself. Some might not like that but we didn't mind (basically the non-electronic version of ordering on a tablet lol)--especially for a good and inexpensive spot! Nice folks, too. We would come back if we find ourselves in the area again. :)

Yelp
Inside is tables and chairs. Enough for quite a few people. The service was good. When coming to this restaurant, you have to write down what you're ordering. The host gives you a pencil and a card. Different but not bad. I ordered fried Eggrolls, papaya salad with beef jerky, and steak and meatball phó. The Eggrolls were great. The papaya salad was something new for me. I have never had it with a light, clean garlic flavor with a little sweetness. It tasted great. The phó broth was spot on for what I want in a broth. Light, fatty and not overly seasoned. Listen, when you go to a Vietnamese restaurant, and you're the only non-Asian person there, you know it's going to be good. I will be coming back here.

Yelp
Very authentic pho in Ohio--this was my second time visiting and a must-visit for me whenever I'm in Columbus. Write your orders on a piece of paper and give it to the server, and they bring out your food on a little cart! Really fast and will package takeout for different forms of eating--whether you're bringing it back to the office, bringing it home, or even eating in the car. Love the broth flavor--rich and meaty and great texture on noodles, meat, and any other mix-ins. One of my favorite spots in all of Columbus and certainly a hole-in-the-wall hidden gem.

Yelp
Ordered the everything pho and it was great. Portion sizes were generous (which was much appreciated) and flavors were all there. Went for the three bean dessert but they were out which was disappointing. Super solid and would love to try out more items if in the area again.

Yelp
Still so good on a cold weather! The pho and spring roll are a great combo when it's dark and cold outside. Love the simple, uncomplicated service. You come in, sit down, write the number of the dish you want and enjoy! Not too fancy place but the food and prices are so worth it!

Yelp
Huong's has been my favorite Vietnamese spot for a very long time. I have been coming here since 2015 and it's been just as amazing every single time. They staff are friendly, the restaurant itself is quint but ideal for just cozying in and enjoying your food. They have a large menu and there is truly something for everyone. It was my husbands first time trying my Vietnamese so we ordered regular spring rolls with shrimp, spring rolls without shrimp, beef pho, tofu bahn mi, and the pork and rice dish. We finished with an iced Vietnamese coffee. Everything was so amazing but truly I think their pho is the best in Columbus. It's full of flavor and depth and perfect for the winter time. I will of course be back hopefully soon

Mina S.

Yelp
The service is fast. Banh mi was really good. This was after we ate the sandwich, it was pretty big. The 20D Pho was SOOO! Good! Fresh roll was good too. The 80s - 90s music adds a nice touch. Thank you for the experience.

Yelp
I tried Huong's on a really cold day which was perfect because my friend and I both wanted soup! I was told by someone who backpacked through Vietnam that this was one of the few restaurants that had the same exact flavors he had in Vietnam. Such high praise! The menu is extensive! So many options! My friend and I grabbed takeout menus so that we can come back next time. I stuck with pho with rare steak, while my friend got bun bo hue. We also shared dumplings made from tapioca. Everything was delicious! I couldn't finish my noodles so I brought it home. It wasn't busy here but there were a number of people dining in. Parking shares with other businesses but it wasn't busy here.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday around 6:45 pm. We were worried because it was less than an hour till their closing time but the man didn't hesitate as he immediately greeted us and asked how many. We chose our items quickly so they didn't have to wait on us for too long. There were 3 other small groups inside but plenty of seating for more. The inside is very casual but intimate, with Asian decorations. The bathrooms are a little old but they do the job, and you need a code to get in so ask one of the people working for it. We decided to get the #1 cha gio (fried egg rolls), the #8 banh bot loc (steamed tapioca dumplings), #21 pho tai (rare beef steak), #39A banh exp tom thit (Vietnamese crepe), and #6B chao tom (shrimp cake wrapped sugar cane skewers). The food was ready within minutes. First were the appetizers and the entrees literally a moment later. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Service was quick and friendly and you pay at the counter when you're done (like most casual Vietnamese restaurants in America). Everything was way beyond reasonably priced, very cheap for good to amazing quality food! The cha Gio was flavorful and crispy, a bit small but for $4 totally worth the 3 pieces. The fish sauce dipping sauce was perfect and not watered down too much. The tapioca dumplings were good but nothing special, good to try and fun texture but I personally would want to try other things. The shrimp skewers were also good to try and fun to eat but nothing special for me. It was cool to eat the sugar cane skewers but they lost a lot of flavor and sweetness being roasted. The pho tai was perfectly sized for me and while the broth wasn't the most flavorful I've ever had, it still hit the spot and was super cheap. There was also a good noodle to broth ratio and came with plenty of serranos, bean sprouts, basil, and lime. The banh xeo was delicious!! This was the best thing I tried (my sister came here before and got this again because it was so good) and is definitely a must try. You can cut up pieces of the crepe and place it in a piece of lettuce, then add bean sprouts, peppers, and basil and dunk in the large fish sauce with pickled veggies. The crepe is extremely crispy and has such a great texture, while the dipping sauce adds a bunch of flavor. This convinced me to try getting this at every Vietnamese restaurant I can from here on out to compare (I do this was pho tai already). Would 100% come back again. Such a good spot and friendly people!

Yelp
Huong Vietnamese has been a staple for years since I moved here. I bring all my friends here! So much good food. It gets so so busy at lunch so you might have to wait a bit to get a seat! So me and my friend chilled in the car until we saw people leave. Once we came back we were seated immediately. The space is so vintage and rich. I love that they play pop elevator music and have church brown panels on the walls. It make me feel at home. With a large mural of water, boats and crabs in the art. We got a lil notepad to order our meal. And I choose the Pho Tai Bo Vien. Rare steak and beef meat ball with rice noodles and a savory beef broth. Paired with fresh greens: jalapeno, thai basil, beansprouts, and cilantro. Paired it with the tasty Cha gio deep fried egg rolls. It was so good! 5 stars for great service and consistency!

Yelp
I found out about this place, fifteen minutes from our hotel, so we went over for our final dinner in Ohio. When we pulled in, the sign said closed, but a man just walked out. We noticed the sign said closed at 7:30, so we went in. They seated us and we ordered spring rolls and pho. The service was great, the food was great, everything was great! We were clearly the last ones there, but never rushed. We paid and I forgot my credit card there. I called once I got to the hotel, but no one picked up. I drove back over, knocked, and they answered, giving me my card. Without that, this was still a five-star place.

Yelp
I just realized how long I haven't been back to Huong. The classic mom & pop Vietnamese Restaurant in Columbus. Filled with homey vibe and authentic food. I got a bowl of Bun Bo Hue with an order of Spring Rolls. Their version of Bun Bo Hue is more mild and subtle. And I can still taste the umami flavor as I sipping on the broth. Always come with variety meat such as Vietnamese pork sausage, beef brisket and my favorite pork knuckles. The pair of Spring Rolls is big. Loaded with lettuce, basil, pork and shrimp. To top this off, don't forget to dip it into the yummy peanut sauce. Outside from the food, my favorite part is the Vietnamese-style iced phin coffee. Love seeing the coffee drip through the Vietnamese coffee dripper. The coffee get drip to a cup that prefill with condense milk. Stir well and pour the coffee over the cup of ice. I always take this very slow, as the coffee is fairly strong.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with my brother on a Saturday. It's a good sized restaurant with plenty of seating. We ordered the Bun Mang Moc noodle soup, the Banh Xeo, and an order of sugarcane shrimp. The sugarcane shrimp were juicy and delicious. The Bun Mang Moc was so unique! Funky and different but in the best way. The banh xeo was the highlight for us--probably the crispiest I've ever had. A bit greasy but we didn't mind. The service was quick and we saw lots of people coming in to pick up take-out orders. They have plenty of specials on the menu--dishes I've never gotten a chance to try at other Vietnamese spots. Lots of vegetarian options too! I'm really looking forward to going back soon!

Yelp
I always come here expecting it to be something and I always leave rather disappointed. Mainly because of the banh mi, everything comes separately, and it's so long. Maybe I'm the outlier here but when I get a banh mi, I want it to be its regular size, I want the crunchy yet fluffiness of a viet banh mi with its crunchy veggies. I expect to be able to order it customizable and not just all the fixings on the side the way it comes here. Not my favorite Vietnamese place in columbus.

Yelp
Another stunner in a strip mall. It does not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. The food makes up for it. I also loved the 70s decor and musical selections. It is not every day that you get to eat banh mi while listening to the Bee Gees. They give you paper checks and you fill out your food order yourself. Then they take the slips and you wait for the magic to happen. They roll the food out on a trolley cart. Very efficient. The bill gets paid at the counter in the lobby. When they brought us a box for leftovers they even included a cup of fresh peanut sauce to take home. Nice touch. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. There is also a small selection of ready made food items for takeout. Per the sign..." you touch, you buy!" This is going on the rotation of favorite spots.

Yelp
A homey family run place. Excellent pho, a lot of variety. Best Vietnamese in the city!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Good choice for no frills Vietnamese food in Columbus. Prices are fair and menu is large and full of options you don't see at most Vietnamese restaurants. Not much ambiance and service can be on the slower side, although they make up for it with the food. We didn't try the pho, but will next time as that was what most people were ordering.
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
The food here is excellent! I had the banh mi and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Yue B.

Yelp
Soooo good heard that this is one of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants in town and been wanting to try it. The food did not disappoint! The broth was so rich and packed with flavors. Good amount of meat in the noodle soup as well. We also liked the fried chicken there.
google avatar

Yelp
Huong Vietnamese Warning! This is not a first date place. This is the 'I am ok if you are picking a sauce-noodle off my Nose' type of place. It is slurpy, splashy and tasty. We ordered the #2, #21, #27. Verdicts! Food - 7/10. I've had better but this is solid Pho Service - 9/10. Attentive and fast. Value for money - 10/10 Know before you go! Bathroom rating - 3/10. Atmosphere - dive authentic - 8/10 This is a place that's obviously been in operation long enough for the tile ceiling to absorb many interesting things. The dishes are clean as is the silver. Can't tell if the floor is clean. It's that old kind of tile that decides 'if its red no one can tell'. The walls are spattered with soup. That was the only thing that really got me. That and the bathrooms. They don't care about them, that is clear. Overall I'm Adding this to my list of regular dives, especially at the price! Thanks for a unique experience and a happy belly.

Yelp
I'd heard rave reviews about this Vietnamese restaurant so I put it on my November excited to try list. It was GREAT. Note they close early at 7:30 pm!!! We arrived at 7:05 and were told they weren't taking dine in customers anymore (7 pm is their final seating) but I did my best plea. We got sat and ordered quickly. It's a mom and pop shop in a strip mall with a kitschy interior and stapled paper menu. There was a full Christmas display in my peripheral as well as Christmas music blasting while we ate delicious noodles and bahn mi and all was right in the world. We started with the steamed tapioca dumplings and these are great. It's such a comforting dish. The pho had delicious broth and the softest thin noodles. I enjoyed the beef broth a bit more than the chicken broth, but just personal preference. The bahn mi was our favorite item though. The grilled pork is flavorful and I enjoyed the byob (build your own bahn mi lol) concept and it's under $11 for the footlong. Fantastic flavors at an excellent value... $42 for the 4 dishes, a soda, and a mooncake that I just had to grab on the way out. I just wish they would be open a little later... like even if they did last seating at 8 pm, I feel like that would be a bit more accommodating to evening schedules.

Yelp
Huong's is a Columbus establishment as far as I can tell. It always comes as highly recommended for Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The restaurant itself is unassuming, almost hidden in a strip mall. I've only ever gotten takeout but staff seem friendly. Food wise, I've tried their banh mi, pho, and the banh cuon (weekend special). Banh cuon was great and usually not commonly offered in Vietnamese restaurants. The pho and banh mi were alright, nothing super special to me and not overly memorable. Not that it was bad by any means but just very on par. Overall, I think there's a lot of options here and nothing on the menu has been bad thus far. Definitlely a solid Viet restaurant!

Amanda J.

Yelp
No frills restaurant with delicious food and great prices! We came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty packed. Chicken wings and the shrimp spring rolls to start, followed by bowls of Pho, the chicken broth seafood soup and the beef rice bowl! We also had the beef bahn mi on the side, so yum! All of it comes with a generous amount of toppings, sauces, and the service is quick!
google avatar

Jacquelyn L.

Yelp
The only place we go in Columbus for actual good, authentic Vietnamese food! They also have a large menu with lots of options you can't typically find. Love the bun chao tom! Don't get the bakes goods in the front of the restaurant though--not very good.
google avatar

Dilara C.

Yelp
I still love this place. Bring a friend and share the Bahn Mi and the Vietnamese Crepe. Order two coffees. Live your best life. That is all.
google avatar

Taylor A.

Yelp
The restaurant is definitely on the older end and not in the best area. We had amazing service! The menu is a bit overwhelming and hard to understand. You write down your own order. I got the beef pho as my meal it was absolutely delicious. Everything we ate tasted good. They brought out the Vietnamese coffee and walk my husband through how to use it which was super sweet. The food compared to same cuisine is cheaper end. They have the bathrooms locked and there's different codes for both. Overall, the food is amazing and worth a stop in!!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Very authentic. We had spring rolls, dumplings and Pho. All were delicious. Plan on coming back to explore the menu more.

Yelp
!Not kid friendly! We made a stop in to eat recently and was told we couldn't keep our child who is four months in her stroller. & had to put our stroller outside. Mind you we have an all in one Doona Stroller. It's small and compact. We have been to this restaurant many times for a few years. Recently had a baby and have taken her with us previously in which they sat us at an end table where she was out of the way. This all came from the owner. The daughter stepped in and was nicer about the situation. Food is good service is poor and definitely not child friendly.
google avatar

Anne R.

Yelp
small strip mall place. they are obviously doing mostly takeout. Manager surprised when we said we were eating there. You still order and pay at the counter. Food average.
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
You know it's going to be good when a Pho restaurant is in a strip mall. This place did not disappoint. The most flavorful broth and probably one of the best pho soup I've had. The staff were fantastic and service was excellent! Must try if you live in OH.
google avatar

Anvaya N.

Yelp
Huong is a family owned restaurant located on Morris Road right opposite Saraga Market. The restaurant is one of the authentic Vietnamese gems we have in town. Place is not fancy but serves the best pho in town. Everyone knows that and you will see that in other reviews as well but trust me I have not seen any restaurants in Columbus serve Banh Xeo ( turmeric coconut milk crepe filled with bean sprouts and meat of choice, crispy served with herbs and lettuce- you eat it like a roll wrapped inside a lettuce wrap ) I was so excited to try it and it did not disappoint. They also serve amazing Bahn mi's. They are Just about 6 dollars for a foot long (take that sub way jk) . So if you want to venture outside pho do give these dishes and try! The restaurant is affordable and best bang for your buck!!

Yelp
Needed a little Vietnamese fix. Restaurant looks super run down. Wouldn't recommend this place for date night if y'all interested in decor. Vegan spring rolls (menu). It's actually summer rolls. 80% noodles 15% lettuce 5% basil Vegetarian pho (options include: fresh soft tofu, sautéed seasoned tofu, steamed veggies, and sautéed veggies) Pho tai (rare steak and well done flank) One thing I will say is that they're SUPER generous with the side plate Four limits for two bowls of pho SO much basil Two heaping handfuls of bean sprouts Thick slices of jalapeños There were probably 20-25 cubes of sautéed seasoned tofu. Wish there was an option for sautéed seasoned tofu and veggies. It was everything I needed to satiate that Vietnamese fix. Would 100% return.

Shawnie K.

Yelp
Huong on Morse Road is one of our favorite Vietnamese places in town. The Banh Mi is one of the best around and we often mix it up with other menu items. The Pho is fabulous. Today, Dan's grilled beef with the rice noodle crêpe wrap for the . The decor is leftover from the previous Mexican restaurant and there is often music playing that makes you wnt to dance. The service is nice and fast. Carry out all through the pandemic was consistent, so we are happy to continue supporting Huongs.

Yelp
Hungry for something healthy and satisfying? You know you should go here...just try it! Great food! Fresh, flavorful, varied textures, and colors. Try the pho of course, but also the pancake (crispy omlet with lettuce wraps) and summer rolls. The service is friendly and efficient- you write down your order by number. Try the salted lemonade. really. Never mind the eighties music- you'll be tapping along half way thru your pho. Dont come for the ambience or to be catered to- come for the food... and Enjoy it! Warning... it is addictive. We go at least monthly.

William M.

Yelp
When a restaurant 'enforces' a 15% service fee just because they feel they have the 'right' to do I just don't like it ... Tipping should always be up to the customer ... never enforced as a 'service fee' ...
google avatar

Long V.

Yelp
Very fast and lots of food but quality was not there. The banh mi did not have any sauce and bland. The grill pork vermicelli was beautifully put together but has zero taste. The sauce was just like water and didn't add any flavor to the dish. This place makes me re-evaluate the choice of quantity vs quality.

Yelp
Pho was amazing. Bun bo hue was good but had better. Banh xeo (crepes) was a great appetizer Service was good and quick would defintley come back.

Yelp

Yelp
Every pho I've had here has been top notch. The broth is flavorful and delicious. I got vegan spring rolls last time I was there and the sauce is delicious. Seating can be a little tight, they have several 2 person booths. The servers are friendly. I've gotten take out here too and they always get it right! Love it!

Yelp
Best Bahn Mi in town? Here's a top contender I devoured (half of) today for lunch from Huong Vietnamese Restaurant off Morse Rd just east of I-71. A monster 12+ inches of authentic Vietnamese goodness snugly wrapped in foil to preserve the crunch. Inside reveals a crusty warm French baguette stuffed with two kinds of chilled Vietnamese pork luncheon meat, plus amazing liver pate (I ordered extra) and marinated cuke/carrot/radish slaw, fresh jalapeño slices, cilantro and more. Best I've had In cbus hands down! About 7 bucks. 5/5 Picked up a couple of tagalongs since the drive from A to B warrants trying out extra goodies. First up the obligatory shrimp and pork Summer Salad Rolls (Goi Cuon). Served with a tasty peanut hoisin carrot sauce on the side, they are generally at par with other Vietnamese vendors around town, though these may have been rolled and Saran wrapped earlier in the day (imho best Goi Cuon are at Tai's Asian, best variety of fresh rolls are at Buckeye Pho). About 3 bucks. 4/5 Runner-up was a nearly fluorescent orange order of Chao Tom, a fine grind of pork and shrimp hand-shaped around a stick of sugar cane and deep fried. About the consistency of a dense meatball, it had decent flavor and presented with a sweet fish sauce dip. My first try with this, was enjoyable but probably won't order it again. Do make sure to chomp the sugar cane sticks, lots of flavor in them. 6 bucks. 3.5/5 Wish this place was closer. Love to try some of their other dishes I haven't seen around town before (weekend only specials look interesting!). None of the delivery services deliver to my home either - but the do seem to have their own delivery on the weekends that sports a healthy mile radius. Rates vary. But that's what keeps Huong a special treat for me, especially during these crazy times. Support your local eateries!

Yelp
Forced tipping, we have been here several times before. Went to pay the bill and they told me tip is mandatory and included, no way to remove it...???total manure. Never again will I eat their fried food in old oil, less than clean service area. Is Mandatory tipping legal?

Yelp
Hands down one of the best pho places in the city that's tucked away in a small strip mall across from Saraga. You always need to grab their viet coffee regardless of the time of day as well (but warning, as with all cups of viet coffee, you will be absolutely wired). Last time we went and also shared the crepe amongst us all and that was a great add-on as well!

Yelp
If you love Vietnamese food you should try this place. At first glance you would wonder, with the 80/90 karaoke music playing in the background. but it's what I call authentic. The people are genuinely nice. It's a hole in the wall place but the food is made fresh daily and it taste amazing. I love the Pho Dac Biet which is the combo pho, comes out deceiving it's piping Hot! It's great on a cold day for sure! And I also order the spring roll which is combo of shrimp and pork with fresh veggies. Help a local business come try it. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Honestly after trying a lot and I mean a lot of Vietnamese places I will say huongs is my favorite hands down. The portions inside are huge and the broth always flavorful and consistent. No other place can match the prices and quality of food. The summer and spring rolls are delicious and fresh, Banh Mis have amazing bread and are huge, the Vietnamese iced coffee is amazing. I love the fact it's a family operated place and when you go in you see the same people working. The only thing I will say is sometimes if they are busy you may want to plan a little extra time to get your food but even with that I can't complain bc they always have older music videos on and it's great to watch. I wish I could give 6 stars really

Yelp
Best pho in Columbus so far! Upon entering you are greeted by a table of homemade treats for purchase (a good sign!) and the one waitstaff, an older gent. Extensive menus feature all kinds of hard to find true Viet dishes like Banh Cuon and Ban Uot (which I will be back to try), and you are given a note pad to write down the menu item numbers of your order. Simple! Efficient! The interior has some true flair, which I always prefer in a gem like Huong Vietnamese. 60's rock was playing, with a tv rolling footage of the Rolling Stones and the like. Just cozy and unusual and wonderful. Then - the pho. AMAZINGLY flavorful broth! Thank goodness, I've really really been needing to find my go to spot in Columbus since moving here this summer and this is certainly it. I cannot wait to cure future hangovers or just to come try some homemade, authentic Vietnamese dishes.

Yelp
This place has THE BEST pho. When we first went over 20 years ago, the menu was only in Vietnamese. So you know it is legit. I typically get the pho, but their other dishes are good too. Still tastes great for take-out as well.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food in town by far. Don't let the "homey" atmosphere bother you. Nice family run business. Great service.

Yelp
I never minded the "hole in the wall" kind of feel because that's when you know the restaurant will be good! Honestly the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant around Columbus. The food, for the most part, is always good. Their pho broth is exactly how it is supposed to be: clean and straight forward. The meat is slightly rare so it cooks in the broth and I love the meatballs. The only problem is that sometimes the broth is not hot enough and eating a luke warm bowl of pho is off putting. During the summer I get the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. DELICIOUS. The grilled pork has the right taste with a hint of lemongrass and not dry. The egg rolls at Huong's are my favorite because the flavors in the egg rolls are balanced without it being too salty when you pour in the fish sauce. I sometimes order the bun bo hue also. As long as they stick to the bigger rice noodles instead of the small one, the dish is pretty much almost perfect.
