Kinda disappointed, tofu salad was wayyy too bland - no sauce or seasoning, just straight up a tofu block sliced up and displayed nicely. Edamame was good but you really can't mess that up otherwise you shouldn't be opening a restaurant. Chicken karaage was dry and some were just not crispy enough. Idk maybe the curry would really hit but I'm not a curry girly

A pretty good option in the area. I stopped in on a weekend afternoon and had an enjoyable lunch. I had a happy hour fried chicken curry and it was a good lunch. The service was nice and I got my food fast. There was plenty of space and outdoor seating was available. The spice level of the curry was, I’ll say, very approachable. As in, I ordered ‘hot’ spice level and really couldn’t taste the heat. Perhaps my dish downplayed the spice but I get the feeling things aren’t too spicy. I’d like to try out more of the menu. Seems like a nice place to eat.

Stopped in from San Antonio Tx and wanted to get something that we couldn't get normally in Tx. It was a great choice! Having been stationed in Japan, this place offered a bit of nostalgia with the great food. The drink choice, along with a variety of Japanese dishes was just what we needed. It's a quick walk from The Space Needle and worth every step! There really isn't any table service here. You'll need to grab a menu and you're welcome to take a seat until you figure out what you want. Then, step up to the counter to place your order.

i got the pork tonkatsu with curry (i added extra veggies and a fried egg) and i 10/10 recommend! please go here!! the curry was the perfect thickness and seasoned superbly, and the tonkatsu was crispy without being dry. my roommate got the curry and croquette combo and he loved it, especially the pumpkin coquette.

Let me guess: you work at Amazon you and your tech bro coworkers need to find a place to eat. You never tried this place so you’re gonna give it a shot. Now I’m gonna tell you exactly what’s gonna happen. You guys are gonna look at the menu get excited about the different curries. Hey maybe this place isn’t too bad. Then when the food arrives, you’re gonna realize how mediocre it is. The chicken is dry. The pork is dry. The curry is too salty. The tofu salad is insultingly bad, wet raw flavorless tofu. This place is just like the tech workers inside: bland and soulless. 🫵😬

Solid tasty and well priced japanese tonkatsu curry with different spice levels, pork gyozas and chicken karrages were also good!

I got the Chicken Katsu from this place, which seemed to be their most popular item This came with breaded slices of chicken breast, served over a bed of rice. Since I got takeout, it came with a side of curry, along with a side salad The chicken was decent. It had a good color to its breading, and was a little bit crunchy at parts, but I thought the breading came off a little too easily The actual meat itself was on the drier side, but not objectionably so. It was fine enough to consume without being too put off by What actually did impress me was the amount of chicken provided - there was a lot I did like the curry sauce - while not spicy, it had a ton of spices to it, and was quite flavorful. It had a nutty taste and aroma that was pretty solid The rice was on the drier side though, I thought it could've been cooked with more water. I also realized it would've been a better experience if I'd removed the chicken, poured the sauce over the rice, mixed everything together, and put the chicken back on and eaten it that way - because pouring the sauce over the chicken meant a lot of the rice at the bottom was just plain Like I mentioned, the portion size here was actually very good - there was a lot of rice, chicken, and curry. It's relatively expensive for a lunch - about $19, so I'm not sure if its fully worth it, but the size helps make up for that a bit Overall, it's a decent enough chicken katsu. the curry especially is good, but the meat could've been improved. 7.5/10

A friend and I went here for a Chicken Katsu lunch special a few days back and it was very good, fresh and great flavors. It came with some side dishes and all went well together. One of the better Chicken Katsu's I have had over the last few months in Seattle. I would recommend this spot for a lunch or dinner!

Came here with my coworkers for lunch in the SLU area and stumbled upon hurry curry. It's definitely a spot for a quick mid day lunch for nearby office workers. You order at the counter, grab a number tent and find your own seat and they will bring the food out to your table. You also need to grab your own utensils and water up front and bus your own table but it is quite convenient. I ordered the Japanese curry with braised beef and it came with a plate of rice and a side salad. The beef was tender enough and the curry was flavorful, though not a hint of spice at all. Overall it was a fulfilling meal but not outstanding.

The people operating the restaurant are kind of rude, and when the food came out, we instantly knew that this place had no love. It's got all the right things, but they're not very well put together, and it seems like they've never actually had a Katsu curry before given how it was served. It's not exactly a low rent, but all the silverware was dirty and the table tops we had to wipe down ourselves. They also do that thing where you have to order at a counter, which is kind of annoying, but they do bring the food out pretty quickly. My daughter and I ordered a pork Katsu curry with mild curry sauce clear that the curry wasn't mild, but it wasn't hot either.

When we got to the counter to order, the staff was extremely rude, making faces and snarky remarks towards us. We walked out... To those two employees, Good luck with your future success; with that attitude, you're going nowhere.

filling meal with the curry udon with four levels of spiciness. it helped with my hangover for sure and was only $11! Not overpriced at all, especially for being based in downtown Seattle. Pleasantly surprised and I feel like I am full for the day. very dim restaurant, so of course the seating by the window to see the view of downtown was taken up by other customers. wish for more window seating, but at least they have outdoor seating available, too. what I loved the most from this place was the staff. so cute with the cashier to offer free merch from the restaurant, like pens and stickers. shoutout to the server for getting orders quick from the kitchen and giving it to our table with no interruption to the photo that we were trying to take, haha! and attentive busboy who did not overstep with our meals and make us feel rushed when he was cleaning. you can get free fountain drinks, too, which I have not seen from any other restaurant ever! This place's got its perks! Happy hour last till 7pm which is pretty late and it's a great deal too. Food wise you can expect the same as a fast food joint, it's not anything over the top but it is pretty consistent and coupled with the great happy hour deal makes it a good choice for a quick grab. The place is also very friendly for larger group hangouts since it's very spacious and has many large tables inside. Street parking in the area isn't too hard to find if after 6pm since the area is primarily business.

Couldn't taste the difference between the chicken and pork katsu. The katsu is so thin that there's hardly any meat, and mostly batter. Curry was good amount of spicy and adjustable. But the curry didn't seem too fresh.

I had a hankering for chicken Katsu curry and came here and was delighted. I loved being able to get a fried egg on top of the rice. The chicken Katsu was crispy and flavorful and the curry sauce was absolutely delicious. I really like how the curry sauce is in a separate bowl so that I can control how much I want on my rice and chicken.

Decent place to grab a quick curry Katsu meal in South Union. Quick and easy to order as they bring it to your table and you bus it when you're done. The Katsu was tasteful yet underwhelming as it was thin as a piece of paper. The rice, the chicken ratio was off, so much rice compared to the chicken. The main highlight was the curry itself, which had a lot of flavor .

I love Katsu Curry, so I've had this a few times. But overall, it's mid. I got the Tonkatsu Curry Medium Spicy and it's just not great. If I happen to get it again, which I probably won't, I'd go spicy. They charge a 5% service fee on all orders for no reason. It's basically just a hidden charge. They ought to remove the fee and raise their menu price if they want to. The 5% service fee is not transparent.

I visited Hurry Curry of Tokyo as my 6th Japanese curry restaurant in January (and 7th overall), in an attempt to find the best tonkatsu curry in Seattle. This was on a Thursday for lunch, and as far as I could tell, this place seems to be pretty empty most of the time, with people typically opting to get takeout. At least, I was the only person eating in the entire time I was there. The restaurant is basically counter service, so orders are taken at the front counter and the chef brings food out to the table, but everything else is done by the customer, including self service utensils, drinks, and bussing the table after the meal. Tonkatsu Curry, Medium Spicy, White Rice ($17) - The order first starts with a small bowl of salad, topped with a tangy and salty soy-sesame vinaigrette. A good way to start off the meal. On the main plate, there's a decent sized piece of tonkatsu, pounded flat before being breaded and fried. Unfortunately, like most places around here, it's fried for too long, resulting in a dry and tough texture on the interior. The breading, which seems to be a mix of panko and breadcrumbs, is crisp, but detaches a bit from the meat, indicating possibly excess moisture before the fry. The pork is very lean, with no fat to help add moisture and slick mouthfeel. I don't think they season either the breading or the pork at all, resulting in tonkatsu that's rather flavorless and underseasoned. I like how they serve the curry in a separate bowl so it doesn't render the katsu soggy. Unfortunately the curry just... isn't very good. It's very thick and concentrated in taste, making it exceptionally salty. Instead of being gravy-like in consistency, it's similar a gel, only very slowly conforming in shape to the container. I feel like it's over-reduced, resulting in a flavor that's far too concentrated. Japanese curry is one of my favorite dishes so I didn't think that would be possible. I feel like the dish could be vastly improved by watering the curry down a little, which is something I don't recall ever saying before. On a positive note, the curry does seem to be made in house. I ordered it medium spicy, which adds just a pinch of spice, not enough to cover up any of the curry flavor, but causing just a slight bit of heat in the mouth. The rice is short grain with decent mouthfeel. It's the only one of the seven katsu curry places that I feel doesn't use enough water during the cooking process. While the grains can be individually felt, overall the rice is a bit dried out and on the firmer side. Unfortunately, there isn't nearly enough curry served in the small bowl for the amount of rice (and meat) they give, which doesn't help things. At first, I thought I was going to give the overall dish a 4, but as I ate more and more, I liked it less and less. The curry is too salty and everything is missing so much moisture that it becomes a bit of a pain to eat towards the end. I had to drink an entire cup of water (and these are large water cups, probably 34oz+) to help temper down the salt and dryness. For a place that specializes in curry and used to boast four locations in Washington and California, I left a bit disappointed. Note: Hurry Curry charges a 5% service charge on all orders. Yes, totally late to the party and a long time bookmark since 2016! I didn't even have the opportunity to stop in when I actually worked in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. I decided to check out Hurry Curry of Tokyo during the Seattle Restaurant Week autumn 2024 campaign for lunch (10/28/24). Traffic was merciful and parking karma was good with a spot a block away. I walked in and the entire front waiting area was packed full of people. I inquired from counter person whether there was a wait list. It turns out all these folks were waiting for takeout. Amazed that he did not seemed fazed by that. They must have quite the efficient kitchen crew to handle the volume during lunch rush. For onsite dining, I placed my SRW order, paid, and was provided a number. At another station, there were iced lemon water, ginormous Seattle Mariners tumblers, flatware, chopsticks, napkins, and assorted takeout containers available. I headed to a two top in the main dining area with plentiful seating, far from the masses. There's bright wall art and even a flat screen with anime programming. Within 20-25 minutes, I received my order. Goodness, this was such a generous lunch that included choice of an appetizer, choice of entree, and mango milk pudding. I selected the chicken karaage app and the tonkatsu curry entree, respectively. The karaage was huge, no lemon wedge, but a dipping sauce was provided. I sampled a few bits and ate the shredded cabbage and carrot. The majority ended up in a takeout box with the sauce. This was later inhaled in the car by The Homie. The Tonkatsu curry was a hefty serving of sliced cutlets, steamed rice, and curry sauce in a separate bowl with a serving spoon. A basic accompanying salad with vinaigrette was provided. I left the wedge core behind in the bowl though. This entree was easily shareable. The mango milk pudding was in a tiny sauce container - probably no more than three spoonfuls. Firm, smooth, and creamy. It was nice to a have a small dessert to wrap up this substantial lunch special. Drinking a large glass of iced lemon water kept me well hydrated for the rest of the afternoon. Previous posts are all over the spectrum, but heck we're in Seattle, thousands of miles away from Japan! Yes, there are a lot of spots to have karaage and curry rice bowls in the greater Seattle area. However, this was a tremendous volume and value for $20 (before tax and tip). Easily shareable, but have to fight for dibs on the mango milk pudding. Glad I stopped in - finally after nearly nine years! Great SRW Autumn 2024 lunch deal! Great place for a fast curry bite! The portions were certainly enough to fill me (I think I left half the rice)! The flavor was excellent, the katsu was a good texture, and there was plenty of seating available at dinner time on a work day. I kinda liked that the curry was served separately so I could modulate how much I wanted on my plate, if I was feeling a soggier food day or a crispier food day. The self bussing station unfortunately attracted several flies, which was maybe the only downside.

I love Japanese curry and this spot was decent! My husband and I came during happy hour for an early dinner. We got takeout and ate outside since we had our pup with us. Service was friendly and quick. They had our order ready for us upon arrival. My husband and I both got the katsu curry bowl, spicy. Their spicy wasn't too spicy at all. I feel like I could have gone extra spicy and been fine. We also got their happy hour shrimp fry and kabocha croquette. Overall, a tasty meal but felt like it was missing the authentic flavor of some of the other japanese curry spots I've been to.

Greeted warmly, polite and friendly! Chicken Katsu was cooked perfect paired with delicious white rice. The fried shrimp was cooked perfectly inside and out along with the side salad I got. The side order of fried okra for me next time I go I will ask for it to be fried longer since there is no coating on it. I like my okra a little bit more crispier if there's no coating. That's totally on me! The ingredients for everything was super fresh, the restaurant was clean, and we felt safe and taken care of when we were there. Service is fast too!!!!! Definitely returning next time we're in the area. ¡Saludado calurosamente, educado y amable! El pollo Katsu se cocinó perfectamente combinado con un delicioso arroz blanco. Los camarones fritos estaban perfectamente cocinados por dentro y por fuera junto con la ensalada de acompañamiento que conseguí. El pedido de acompañamiento de okra frito para mí la próxima vez que vaya, pediré que se fríe más tiempo, ya que no tiene revestimiento. Me gusta mi okra un poco más crujiente si no hay cobertura. ¡Eso depende totalmente de mí! Los ingredientes para todo eran súper frescos, el restaurante estaba limpio y nos sentimos seguros y atendidos cuando estuvimos allí. ¡El servicio también es rápido! A convenient and fast spot nearby! The selling points is the affordable prices and speedy service. They have all the Japanese classics, I got the katsu Japanese curry with egg. The chicken was well breaded, but the chicken itself is a little dry. The rice was kind of a gummy texture, so the food isn't stellar but for the price and speed, you can ask for much more!

They gave extremely little curry. Only enough to cover the very top layer of rice. I'm not sure if this is because I got the happy hour meal which is cheaper, but my entire group of 9 left more than half our rice in the bowl because it was so dry. The chicken Katsu also lacked flavor. It tasted unseasoned. I might try this place again, since it could have been an off day. The prices are great. Service was nice and there is ample seating inside. However I would not recommend this place for good curry or katsu.

The cutlet was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the curry sauce was rich and flavorful. The portion was generous, service was quick and friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed vibe.

Love this place. Always get the same thing. Chicken katsu curry with white rice. 3 on the spice level from 1 to 4. One of my go to spots to go for Japanese curry.

Food was decent. However, I walked in at 850 and was standing in front of the guy taking the order. He was a little disrespectful. We were looking at the menu for 2 minutes and he sat there quietly. After we ordered and right before we paid he said oh by the way we no longer do dine in orders it has to be takeout. He probably had 20 opportunities to do so but doing so before checking out felt very manipulative. He didn't apologize or even say it politely either. Even the sign said last time for dine in was at 9. Either inform customers before or update your signage. That one interaction soured my experience. Will never come back just for the lack of proper customer service.

Came here the other day because I was craving some food but nowhere else was open after 9. Come here if you're too lazy to make curry at home and you're craving something quick and decent. I have nothing bad to say but also nothing that stands out, which I'd ideally like to see from a curry specialized restaurant given how accessible and easy curry at home is to make. (And I've had some BOMB curry places, like coco ichibanya and curry do in SoCal)

Tables were dirty. I was the 2nd customer here for lunch. Staffs were just chatting amongst themselves and no one bothered to clean tables (assuming since last night). Food is ok. Tonkatsu was a bit plain.

Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat on a weekday night and had a good experience! It's a quick service so you order at the counter, take a number, and bus your own table if you're nice :) We discovered they have happy hour daily from 3-7am so we tried a few items from that menu. We both got their chicken katsu curry ($9 during happy hour) which is 1/2 of their normal size. It was super filling though! Food was good, my medium spice was more of a mild. Tokyo curry fries were just alright, probably wouldn't order it again though. Friendly service!

Ordered miso soup ($10) with udon ($3). Only got the udon and had to make my own miso soup at home.

Make sure you don't tip. You do everything yourself. From getting water, utensils, sorting the trash to clear the table. Staff is rude too. The curry wasn't bad but definitely not anything special.

This place used to be so good. It's the perfect example of shrinkflation now though. The curry itself is still very tasty but the chicken is tiny, rubber and not worth the price. This place was always on the more expensive side of a lunch in SLU but nowadays it's really not worth it anymore.

I'm a lunchtime regular. I'm a big fan of the Tokyo Curry. A Japanese style sweet, brown, rich curry sauce with lots of ground beef goodness. Yes, many other good things to choose from on the menu but I have a hard time passing up my fav. In the heart of the South Lake Union tech scene it's almost always busy at lunchtime and can be hard to score a table. It's sort of cafeteria style; queue, order and find a table. I like this place.

Pretty solid lunch spot. After so many years it can be said this is a consistent spot even after the pandemic. It's a solid lunch spot. Flavor is good and portion size is pretty large! For my tastes the spicy was not really that spicy. The tonkatsu was very thin and with the fry it came out a little dry. Not the most flavor on the tonkatsu but this is just an objective view. Service could only be that the wait or brought the food out quickly but that was about it. The ambiance is ok a pretty standard lunch spot. Overall just a standard lunch spot!

Ok another day of lunch for delivery and this time is from Hurry Curry. I spent under $30. for this place cause I LOVE Japanese Curry, but this was very disappointed. The only thing I would say was good was its flavor, but overall it was what I expected. I might not know much about Japanese, but way back in the past I had one of the best Japanese Curry ever and it wasn't a chain or famous name restaurant. I wish they are still around, but that was over 30 yrs ago. But anyway this curry looks more like spaghetti with curry sauce. The portion was also small for what I paid for. From what I got it looks like one of them frozen dinner you buy from an Asian grocery store. Also the dressing from the salad wasn't tasty at all. Something different with the dressing that I didn't like.

Food is great overall. Curry is a bit on the salty side. However, the staff in the front was very rude. The language and tone he used during ordering was unfriendly and impolite. We were told (yelled at) to bus the dishes while walking out.

Ordered via DoorDash, so I can't say much for the ambience. service was quick to fulfill my order. We got to cut one extra hot and one mild, the hot one was not extremely hot. I think I would've preferred the hottest level. Given lots of rice, but it definitely fills you up with the chicken! I ordered a large container of curry sauce, and it was a great size but even they're normal size is enough for your dish. Would order again!

Came here for my team members goodbye lunch at work. Gonna miss that guy ngl. Oh yeah food is p good too. Something about eating food during work context makes it not feel as legit. Weird.

This was my second visit after a year and I was pleasantly surprised! There's a great happy hour menu that ends at 7pm which is nice. The food comes out quickly and there's plenty of seating for a casual dinner.

When we walked in, it was a beautiful place and everyone was eating. We had high hopes. They also had pictures of the menu on the wall. First we had the salad and miso soup which were not as good as I hoped. The salad was drenched in a ginger/soy sauce mixture that was more of a dipping liquid than a dressing. The miso soup tasted like the large chunks of white onion it had in it. Miso soup is not meant to have white onion. The chicken katsu was pretty good except that the portion was really small. It was really crispy though. The rice was cooked perfectly. The curry was a bit too sweet and the "spicy" was not that spicy. It is also a bus your own table kind of place. Good if you live close but not worth a day trip to Seattle.

Casual ambiance. Order at the counter and bus your own tables. Food was hot, fresh and flavorful. I got the eggplant katsu curry and would definitely get again. Although it wasn't marked, they only have happy hour weekdays.

The food is good but as someone who just moved here from japan paying 25 dollars a plate for curry is crazy. Save your money and go somewhere else. Dirty floors, seating design isnt organized. They also play American pop music with anime on the tv. Doesn't make much sense. 2/10 recommend.

Love that all the curry is by default vegetarian! The tofu / okra curry is my go-to comfort lunch at least once every two weeks when I'm working out of the office. The service really is fast! Once you order I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 10 minutes, and oftentimes it's less than 5 minutes. Make sure you know your spice tolerance! In my opinion their "hot" is perfect!

Good spot for Japanese comfort food! We got the chicken katsu curry and pork katsu curry. Casual eatery with both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the front counter then find your seat. Service was friendly. Taking one start off as everything was pretty standard & katsu could have been more tender. Overall good spot if you're looking for katsu around Seattle!

I believe at this place is a great introduction to Japanese curry. The menu is very approachable, there are pictures of everything. There is plenty of seating even for large groups. They had a great selection of Japanese juices and sodas. The staff is very friendly. They allow you to customize how spicy the curry is on a scale of 1 to 5.

When you're craving a quick Japanese curry with chicken katsu, this is the place to go. Very casual place - you order at the counter, they bring the food to you. Sake is served in small bottles. You have to bus your own tables at the end of the meal.

Hurry curry is a convenient stop for lunch for office workers nearby but it's nothing special. I ordered the karaage for appetizer and chicken katsu for entree. Karaage: There's really no breading on it and it looked like they just threw chicken chunks into the fryer. Typically, karaage has a light batter which makes it really crispy but hurry curry just had chicken nuggets. Chicken katsu: It's breast meat which is pounded very thing. Some pieces of the chicken were very tough and dry. The breading doesn't stick onto the chicken and easily falls off. The curry itself is pretty generic japanese curry with pieces of onions in it. The rice was cooked with too much water so it was congealed together.

They give great portions to be honest. But I thought the food was just OK. Service was alright though. This place is great if you're trying to get value out of your meal. It's also nice and quiet which I always like.

Best Katsu sandwich I have had in years. Plus they give you a choice of fries, a salad or a fried egg! Of course I had the egg on my sandwich. Clean and cute environment. Great service. If I go to an even at Climate Pledge again I will return. Thank you.

I am not sure how anyone gives this less than 5 stars. Has the Japanese Chi Ken Curry Bowl--this thing is FIRE! Reminder to all, this is a quick service Japanese restaurant, and as that, it is every star 10 times over. Friendly cashier, super clean, high quality food, 80's alternative rock and Japanese anime in the background. Come on!

They forget something from my order literally every time. Last time it was my order of Gyoza. The time before, they forgot the curry. The time before that they gave me a small curry instead of the large that I ordered and paid for. It's like their staff is braindead or intentionally trolling. The food is OK but not any better than numerous options in the immediate area. I'm done with them though, they just don't have their shit together and it's messed up the meal the last few times I've tried. I would recommend avoiding this place if you prefer getting all of your order.

Order takeout for this place when I had to work through lunch. Always a big fan of Japanese food, especially Japanese curry. They seem to have a pretty extensive selection from the menu, and this is always appealing. Korokke appetizer: korokke is essentially a pickle, covered deep fried Patty of mashed potato, sometimes with the filling and/or flavored. I selected the option of getting two pieces, one pumpkin and one garlic. PROS: - Fantastic size, - delivered still crispy to my door - Comes with nice portion of dipping sauce as well - The pumpkin was especially my favorite. - Great addition to add to a tonkatsu plate, or a curry plate. You can also get it as an entrée with curry by itself. - Goes really well with the side of pickles that you can order CONS: - Highly recommend putting any extra pieces in the toaster oven; I only had a microwave, but even then it was still good when heated up. Tonkatsu Curry entrée PROS - Good sized piece of pork tonkatsu - Good amount of curry, it looks small, but it definitely packs a punch. - Very deep, strong curry flavor. - Goes well with both meat, rice, or the korokke - (I subbed out the rice for udon instead for an additional two dollars) this was totally worth it. CONS: - The tonkatsu pork cutlet is not exactly the thickest cut of meat. I wouldn't expect to have juices flowing from this when you cut into it, but it does already come in pieces. - Because it comes in pieces though, the meat chunks can be a little bit dry. Side of Japanese pickles: you can't have curry without Japanese pickles. PROS - Good quantity actually for the price you're paying, you don't expect it, but the side amount that they give you actually goes along way. CONS: - none I would definitely order from them again, just not sure if I would order tonkatsu. I might just stick with the korokke curry, entrée, or even go for the shrimp tempura instead. The pickles are definitely a must.

Came here for an early dinner on a weekend and was pretty empty. I got the chicken katsu curry and also got vegetables in my curry. The katsu was pretty bland but you're supposed to eat it with the curry so the flavor of the curry balances out the katsu. Curry was decent but I thought that it would have more inside it. The rice was good and the side salad went well with everything. Alright price for what I got. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean with decently loud music playing.

I really enjoyed the curry and it's very tasty! The proportions are really good for the price. The restaurant is order at the counter, they bring the meal to you, but you have to bus your dishes away. The atmosphere is cheery and comfortable to enjoy japanese cuisine. Highly recommend if you're in downtown seattle!!

Honestly, I feel like this is a really solid casual lunch spot in SLU. It's conveniently located next to a bunch of corporate offices (like Meta and Amazon), and the casual atmosphere and cheap prices make for a pretty good lunch experience. I usually order the chicken katsu curry whenever I go, and they always give a generous portion of katsu. It's nice and crispy, although a bit on the dry side, but it pairs well when eaten with the curry. The curry has a deep flavor, and I love all the topping options you can add to it. They also have a bunch of vegetarian options, which usually isn't the case at a lot of Japanese restaurants, so we were really grateful for those too. I think the biggest con for me is that the restaurant isn't necessarily the cleanest, with some of the tables being sticky and the utensils not being fully well cleaned. It's not a big red flag though, probably just some oversight, and it's not enough to keep me from coming back, especially during their generous happy hour!
