"This sliver of space on Abbot Kinney has a really healthy selection of all the Scandinavian home goods lines we've all come to love: Iittala glassware, Arne Jacobsen for Stelton water jugs, and Marimekko trays. There's also a small range of clothing, and some cute stuff for kids."

My favorite place to buy gifts! The staff are all so friendly and very welcoming :) they have a wide range of products from candy to clothes to candles. It’s very hard to go into this store and not find something you like!!! Love supporting one of the very few small businesses that are left on Abbot Kinney ✨

I received my dustpan today and to my horror I unpackaged used item. I didn’t order used or at discount product! Someone has received a return and then sold it to me. Unfair and dishonest. $100 dust pan and I get this? Pictures show received item minutes after opening the box. Box looks re-taped and like a return. Item looks as assembled used and disassembled, packaged and sold as new. Item was replaced and new one was shipped to me with a nice apology. I appreciate the help in making this correction. Iris hantverk dustpan sets are incredible and I own several. Well worth the money and those last for many years.

This store has everything! Perfect unique gifts, kitchenware, yummy Swedish gluten free candy, baby items, women’s clothing.. I’ve lived in Los Angeles 7 years and somehow never came across it on my many Abbot Kinney shopping days. I will definitely be stopping by frequently now. I grabbed a bag of their candy today. So yummy! 😋 Great selection.

Grabbed a few nice gifts for family at this shop right on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Super friendly staff, and easy shopping experience - highly recommend their candles!

I'm so happy I discovered this amazing store! I had to buy a birthday gift for a friend, and she specifically requested wanting items from this store. I love Scandinavian design and ended up buying a few things for myself, too. The staff were extremely friendly and the owner was incredible...she went above and beyond to help me! If you like Scandinavian design, and beautiful quality items, you will love this store!

Google
Very interesting shop full of Swedish household items, special gifts, toys, Swedish sweets and licorice which are sold by weight. Very interesting concept store with very helpful staff and well presented. Lots of quirky items to keep you amused. Well worth the stop in if you’re in Venice.

I have visited this store since before Covid - the staff is wonderful and the items sold are meant to last a lifetime. Cannot say enough good things about this place. ❤️

Yelp
such a cute shop! The Swedish candy is very affordable compared to other places and has a great selection too! The pottery and kitchenware are a dream!

Yelp
This is such a cute little shop. I really enjoyed all the housewares and dinnerware that they have. I night a couple different bowls and some smaller sauce type dishes and a cup. All of it is hand made and very much worth the price tag. I initially came because a friend told me they have some of the Swedish candy here so I wanted to check it out. I'm glad I came, definitely spent more than I wanted but all worth it. The owner is a very sweet lady and will help you find anything you may be looking for to complete a look.

Yelp
Everything is overpriced. They pressure you into buying extras at the register, and only give in store credit for returns.

Trevor S.

Yelp
What a terrific store. The selection is amazing and the quality is through the roof! And the candy! Oh my gosh. Reading the negative reviews about the candy cost make no sense. Wonderful selection and worth every penny.

Paulina J.

Yelp
im Swedish and this place is insulting. Everything is upcharged from the original seller's price (seriously, look it up online before you purchase there). $18 per lb for godis!!!!!!! (Swedish candy) its INSULTING

Cynthia B.

Yelp
Overpriced, rude employees, I wouldn't set foot back in here really. I don't think it's going to last very long. Not a very good business outlook considering the high turnover rate of businesses on Abbott Kinney. Too bad. I'm hoping for a more reasonably priced and interesting space to take over in the next few years.

Yelp
My parents and I stumbled across this shop years ago after visiting Fiorentini + Baker on Abbot Kinney Blvd. It became one of my mom's favorite finds, as the products are Swedish designs. (Both she and my dad became interested in Swedish pieces after finding a lot of vintage mid-century modern pieces that were crafted in Sweden.) Recently, we added it again to our list of places to visit during our trip to LA in June. They're located in the middle of Abbot Kinney Blvd. and offer a variety of products from home goods, fashion, and artisan goods. Pricing is pretty fair as you can get some items for great prices and spend a little more on quality items that are unique. Staff have always been friendly and welcoming whenever we've gone and they're happy to assist if you have questions. Parking can be challenging - either you will need to search for a street parking spot or try to park away from the boulevard and plan on walking. Sometimes you might get lucky, depending on the time of day you go. (Alternatively, you could take public transportation or a rideshare, as the entire area can be enjoyed while walking.)

Yelp
Huset. In English it's, "the house". A propos! Think minimalist, clean, Scandinavian living, in keeping with my 2019 resolutions to continue to pare down and use, enjoy the stuff I have. Huset is a totally browse worthy, totally reprise worthy, Abbot Kinney Boulevard destination for cool kid's things, home accessories, furniture, fashion, to grace your living space or gift a loved one. Pleasant sales assistance should you require it. Peruse the store or visit their website https://huset-shop.com/ and I know you will agree! I'll be back the next time a truly unique hostess gift (sometimes wine's simply not enough) is in order! Due to time of day and weekday, we were fortunate to snag a two-hour meter right on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. No Yelp check-in as my phone's wifi wasn't cooperating.

Yelp
This store lets me live my Scandinavian design house fantasies. The furniture, art, kitchen stuff, clothing, bags, toys, etc. are all taken from the owner's trips to Scandinavia and these offerings come from 60+ Scandinavian designers so Americans can enjoy them. I love the clean, contemporary and clever design of these items. I wish I have a * nice * house and not a rinky dink old apartment so I can fill it with equally nice things from this store. If you're at a loss for a housewarming gift, you should stop by at this boutique and get some incredible gifts, most of which are under $50. Your friend will thank you!

Ck T.

Yelp
There is an interesting collection of items for home wares like cups, vases, cutlery. Everything is nicely displayed. The staff don't acknowledge your presence until you bring stuff up to the register to pay which is good if you like to browse and finally helped when you go up to them.

Yelp
Huset has amazing Scandinavian unique pieces for your home. If you want to impress your friends with beautiful wine decanters , Golden bottle openers with a bell or a toy for your dog -Huset has it all. The stylish clothing and accessories will make you stand out in the Hollywood hills or The Sunset strip Staff very friendly

Yelp
Update. The cup completely fell apart. The lid stopped working and the glue that kept the base together came undone. I had Jeff go in alone to try for the second time to return the cup. A different manager was working (maybe the owner?) and tried to fix the cup for Jeff but couldn't. She then decided to take the cup back for store credit. So, now I have store credit to Huset. Very cool of them to honor this sort of exchange. I dig the responsibility they took for the cup. Thank you Huset!

Susan D.

Yelp
Update my last few times purchasing there have not gone well and I found customer service really lacking. It is seeming to be more geared to tourists only now, and not to locals who would expect better service.

Yelp
Huset is another quirky Abbot Kinney shop filled with strange yet intriguing items that your everyman would either find impractical or unaffordable. It is one of the more enjoyable shops to browse through, which I would rate as probably its highest value. If you like that Scandinavian style that has been popularized (and bastardized) by places like Ikea then you'll like Huset. There wasn't much here I didn't enjoy looking at, but that brings me back to the extreme impracticality of much of their selection. I suppose those in need of a $12 pastry brush or a Scandinavian dough cutter will breathe a sigh of relief, but I saw most of what was here as peculiar.

Yelp
I like to window shop on Abbot Kinney once in a while, and Huset has become one of the stores I can't walk past if I have time for a quick browse. It's a cute Scandinavian home goods store, perfectly suited to current trends in home decor. Smart, clean, design-oriented wares that would look great on that mid-century modern sideboard. There are both artsy decorative objects and items with purpose that still manage to be somewhat impractical, like elaborate milk foamers and $40 clay toilet brush holders. Everything is very nice to look at. I particularly enjoy the pleasing array of ceramics. There's also a robust kids' section, and I can see myself picking up some of those nice-looking toys and dolls for future children. Assuming my kids are kind enough to consider whether their playthings clash with my furniture. I have yet to buy anything at Huset, but I'm sure they'll get some of my money eventually. It's the same deal with any of these stores--Tortoise being my other favorite on Abbot Kinney. I'll find the perfect artisanal back scratcher one day, and I'll pay the asking price.

Yelp
Who said to meet at Huset? Adorable storefront on Abbot Kinney carrying all-things Scandinavian: * YES - Offers contemporary line of furniture, clothing, toys, etc. * YES - Cute housewares: aprons, cups, bowls, trays, etc. * YES - Random stuffed animals * YES - Friendly service, well-spaced layout * WOA (words of advice): - Meter parking or free behind-shops parking lot - Accepts credit cards

Yelp
First things first, this is not merely a candy shop. There are so many home essentials, decor, clothing, toys, etc. that will transport you to Scandanavia. That being said, I go for the candy. I'm a sucker for Swedish candies and their corner features the pick-your-own variety that is common in Sweden. You have treats for any mood. The sour selections range from tongue-numbing to a mild pucker. The marshmallow is a revelation as are some of the jellies. If Swedish fish are your only exposure to this cultural delicacy, then expand your horizons down on Abbot Kinney. Get a little bit of everything! Just kidding, the bags are only so big.

Yelp
Absolutely adore this find. I found several gifts here. An eclectic collection from housewares to stationary, and adorable plants sprinkled throughout the outdoor garden space - which is a sanctuary I wish was in my backyard! The variety was overwhelming, but in a good way. Such friendly and helpful staff. I could spend hours here.

Yelp
My new favorite place for housewarming gifts, or gifts for your own home. There were so many unique and attractive items that our only problem was narrowing down the selection. Their staff was very helpful with information about each particular item while not being pushy salesperson-types. One thing that happened while visiting: a couple came in with two small children who proceeded to try to destroy most of the store's inventory. I'm not sure what the etiquette rules dictate when it comes to this type of situation, but from the outside looking in, it was a bit horrifying. I can only guess that these two toddlers were actually employed by Huset on the QA team, and were conducting some on-site durability tests of their plates, cups, and other small items.

Yelp
They not only carry small furnitures, home accessories and gadgets, they also carry clothing for women and children in designs and fabrics that you won't normally find at a regular shopping center. I love Abbott Kinney!

Yelp
***update regarding the below review*** Within 30min of posting the below message, Holly (the owner I believe) send me a reply apologizing for the experience and offered me a full refund. Thank you Holly for being on it. Much appreciate the fast reaction. ---------------------------- I bought a pillow from Huset 1 week ago. Looked amazing for about 2 days but it started fraying in multiple places. I brought the pillow back to the store today and basically i received zero customer service. I spoke to Brandon who simply suggested that i should go and get it fixed elsewhere. Not what i was expecting to hear considering this simple pillow was about $100. I had not realized that it also need weekly maintenance/repairs. Pricey pillow!!

Yelp
Was there for the first time today. I'm from Sweden so of course I had to have some swedish candy. I love the selection Huset has. But another reason I give this store 5 stars is because of Alaiv. He was so friendly and helpful, I wish more associates would spread happiness like him!

Yelp
Huset is the perfect modern, Scandinavian shop. Huset has everything for your home, including furniture, art, kitchen essentials, women clothing, kids clothing, toys etc (the list is long). Everything in there is from Scandinavia which makes Huset stand out from the other boutiques on Abbot Kinney. It is the most perfect gift shop since it's constantly refreshed with new Scandinavian design (and the best is that there's plenty of products under $50). All the sales associates are very friendly and knowledgeable so don't hesitate to ask for help.

Yelp
I don't know how it happened. It's like my 4th time on Abbott Kinney but my 1st time at this store...how could I have missed it?? Anyway, it's a cute shop with lots of Scandinavian designer stuff. A lot of trays that I wanted!! There were a few melamine (maybe?) cups I liked but didn't feel like forking out the cash for it. Price range is a bit high but I figure it's designer stuff and shipped from Europe so....ok, makes some sense. The children's stuff is adorable and quirky. Really great!

Yelp
Bought a great little kewpie here. Really cute stuff. Expensive, but that's to be expected, given the area. Also liked the check in discount :) Very friendly shop girl, too.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Very cool Scandinavian art/clothing place. I wouldn't use any of the stuff here for my design clients, but the little craft items would make great Christmas gifts for kids. The clothes they had from Scandinavian designers looked real groovy. I would look great in some of the designs they have here. They have some beautiful clothes here!
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Amazing Swedish design that doesn't look cheap and from a big blue and yellow store? YES. I stumbled in here one day and I have been thanking the design gods ever since that fateful day. I honestly am so excited to come here to see what new products they have gotten in. First off- -- they are VERY 60's themed and very minimalist. They have a website you can visit and order from but this is the only brick and mortar and oh what a mortar it is. I love it here. I want this to be my kitchen. It WILL be my kitchen. They have female/male clothing and a tiny kids' section but the housing/home goods is why I have a design boner for this place. Simply beautiful. Thanks for the goods!
google avatar

Abigail W.

Yelp
This is an adorable shop. I love the Moomin characters, and they have items with those designs. My mom got a cute dish set with ladybugs for my nephew, but it was hard to choose because there were so many cute designs. They also sell authentic Scandinavian salty licorice in case you want to partake. Over all it is a little expensive, but so is everywhere on Abbot Kinney, and it's a great place to get unique gifts and items for your home.

Natasha O.

Yelp
Love this store!!!! Seriously!!! The best shop onAbbot Kinney blvd shopping !! I come here every time I'm in LA. I always find something new and different. This time they had an amazing jewelry POPUP. Increadibly interesting designs and well made pieces. I've meet some of the designers there --NATASHA SABLINA with "SABLINA jewelry" stand out with her the most outstanding designs and knowledge of the stones and metals. She was so helpful in her suggestions of several gifts for Christmas--I bought super cute earrings for my sis and a ring for my mom. Can't wait to give those gifts !!!!Until next time HUSET!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!

Yelp
Adorable little Scandinavian store on Venice's Abbot Kinney. Great service and the only place in the state that sells Urskog skateboards. I'll be ordering one for my husband for Christmas so shhhhhh! The area is darling; surrounded by great coffee shops, restaurants and other upscale shops.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Awesome selection and sales. I love scandinavian design so this is a dangerous store for me. I scored some great HOPE clothing on sale and so so happy about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Abbot Kinney outpost for Scandanavian design. Light furniture offerings and curios. Blossom & Bill Designs tea towels. Cool lamps.
google avatar

Eli O.

Yelp
I love this shop; it feels like visiting a friend's house back home in Norway. Great selection of minimalistic and classy Scandinavian design and friendly and welcoming staff (and they are scandies too :))) Quality brands, and the prices are even better than in Europe. Highly recommend to visit this charming shop in Venice and also to check out their online shop with a even better selection.
google avatar

Jac C.

Yelp
So glad to have found this store! It carries a tastefully curated and comprehensive selection of Scandinavian design products, many of which are very iconic. Very helpful and friendly service. I feel like a kid in candy store here!
google avatar

Dara M.

Yelp
A beautiful, well-curated store on Abbot Kinney, with lots of Scandinavian house wares, furniture, kids' items, and some clothing, too. I'll take one of everything, please! So many beautiful objects. The staff is friendly and helpful, and prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Trish L.

Yelp
This is a unique Swedish housewares store. I always like some of the things in here but they just seem a bit over-priced so I have yet to buy anything. I still like looking and there is a magazine hanger I might go back for despite the $160 price tag.

R S.

Yelp
The brick and mortar store may be nice. I don't know. But I would caution anyone from shopping the online store. There are hidden shipping charges and customer service is atrocious. I was sent a damaged shirt and when I tried to return it, the seller took two days to respond to my email and then I was offered only store credit because the shirt was on sale. It was damaged. Not my fault. I sent photos of the damage and these were ignored. I don't want store credit for this merchandise because I don't want to spend any more money at this store (and what are the chances I'll find something to buy that matches exactly the amount of my store credit?) and I don't want to spend any more money on shipping charges, hidden or otherwise.

Andy J.

Yelp
Such a great shop, the owner and employees are extremely nice and got me set up with exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely return the next time I am in the area!
