Really wanted to like this place, but honestly wasn't impressed.
My husband, 15 mo old daughter, and I came here on a Wednesday night, roughly around 6pm. We were seated immediately, which was great. They did provide a high chair, also great. Our table was kind of sticky though, which always kind of grosses me out since my kid is going to be touching/eating directly off of it.
We must have waited about 15-20 minutes before someone actually acknowledged our table. Our server apologized and said they were pretty busy. (Honestly, there was like 2 other tables in the dining room that were taken. Maybe they had a bunch of people outside, but I don't really believe that.) Anyway, he took our entire order because we had been there long enough to decide.
We started with the fried green beans. I really wasn't wowed. They were pretty average, but our server raved about how great they were. They came with a cup of ranch. The hubby doesn't like ranch, so he asked if we could sample the hot sauce to dip his green beans in. Our server was like oh my gosh yes, of course! And brought it right out. Little did we know, he later charged us $1 for this tiny condiment cup. The penny pinching gets worse though.
We both ordered burgers. Mine only came with tomato and my husband's came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. My husband doesn't eat anything on his burgers besides more meat and cheese, so he politely asked for them to take everything else off. When I ordered, I asked the server if they could just give me all of his vegetables because I would eat them on my burger, since it only came with tomato. Our server happily obliged. Little did we know, each topping was $.50 extra on our bill. Our server also asked what we wanted for a side-- chips, fries, sweet potato fries, or mac and cheese. The hubby chose mac n cheese because our daughter would probably eat it and I got the fries. Again, little did we know, it was a $3 up charge for mac n cheese. Our server happily put it on the bill, but never told us it was an up charge or asked if it was okay.
So food comes out shortly after. My husband seemed to enjoy his burger. He was starving, so I'm not sure he actually chewed his lol. Mine was okay. I ordered the patty melt and my sourdough bread was like 3 sizes too big for the actual burger patty. One side of the bread was lightly toasted with semi-melted cheese anddddd the other was soaked in grease. Not a fan, but whatever. I was hungry so I ate it. But you know all those vegetables they charged us for? Yeah, I got one tomato slice (the one that was supposed to come on my burger, but I got charged extra for it anyway,) one piece of onion (literally one ring,) and a sad looking piece of lettuce. Oh, I also got like 3 pickles in a condiment cup on the side which, you're right, I got charged extra for. The fries were alright. My husband described them as frozen Walmart fries lol. He said they were lucky that he actually enjoys frozen Walmart fries, so he ate them. The mac n cheese was in this TINY, and I do mean tiny, bowl. It was okay. Not the best or worst mac n cheese I've ever eaten, but could definitely be made better at home.
All in all, we had a really sub-par experience. Our server was also likeeeee overly excessive about everything and lingered to have a very awkward conversation with us while we had just started eating our food. We ended up paying over $50 for 2 meals and an appetizer, plus tip.
Like I said, I really wanted to like this place, but I don't think I'll be back purely because of the lack of accommodations and sneakiness. I know shit isn't free, but I really feel like he could have hooked us up with the toppings since my husband wasn't actually eating them and been more vocal about the upcharges in general.
*I would also like to add, they threw packets of mayo and mustard on my tray without asking if I wanted any and that shit is included with the meal, so why couldn't the tiny amount of hot sauce or toppings be?
