Huskers Cafe (Atlanta)

AMAZING customer service and the food is fantastic! Very glad it came up as a recommendation on Google maps. But it is worth a try. Best customer service so far! The boujie biscuits are a combination of flakey buttery biscuits dipped in French toast batter and covered in a cinnamon and powder sugar combination. The music is as wholesome as the atmosphere. As a side note: we observed the counter being wiped down after each order was taken which is good to see that they take cleanliness to heart. ❤

Hands down some of the best breakfast I’ve had in a while. Service was top notch, and the food came out pretty quickly (granted it wasn’t super busy then either). It’s in a market called “The Municipal Market” with all kinds of meat shops, restaurants, and other vendors. So nice to walk a little of the food off afterwards. Lots of great options on the menu, welcoming environment, but most importantly the food was amazing. Go not now, but RIGHT NOW! Go.

Service was quick, our server was incredibly helpful and friendly. The shrimp and cheese grits was delightful. We Also had the pecan waffle with fried chicken which was perfect. The Cafe is located inside a building with multiple vendors. I highly recommend checking out the other vendors aswell.

Amazing! Our first time in Atlanta and we were starving after our flight and found this place that was within walking distance of our hotel. The staff are super friendly and gave us great recommendations. Food was fresh, and delicious - wish we could take it all home with us!

Found Huskers because another restaurant was closed due to COVID. Happy discovery the experience, customer service, & food all 5 star. GPS was confused on the location but it’s located in the Municipal Market. So you get great food & shopping win win all the way around.

This is not a place you want to skip out on! The food is amazing, first and foremost. What I loved the most about this place was the service. Lucas was our server and he is incredibly kind and attentive. All in all we had excellent food and service. Will be returning!

In town visiting during the weekend of July 4, 2021 and I got this place as a recommended place to eat. I have to say, it was my best meal all weekend! I had the make your own omelette and it wasn't as big as I'm used to, but the quality was on point, and the biscuit that came with it was so soft and yummy. My sister got chicken and waffles, AND the eggs, bacon, grits, and bougie biscuit breakfast..... that bougie biscuit..... Oh. Em. Gee! Also, I don't eat grits (I don't like the texture) but I tried their cheese grits and I would eat them again 😁. My 13 year old nephew also loved his breakfast; he got the same bacon, egg, & grits as my sister but with pancakes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our server, Ms. Lena was so nice. All the staff were very nice! Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be back! Thank you all for an amazing meal! -Florida

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Got seated quickly and everything was seasoned to perfection. Prices were reasonable and portions large. Will definitely visit again.

Husker's is inside a classic food market environment. An older building full of vendor stalls from butchers and seafood shops to soap makers and ethnic food. Husker's is tucked away in the corner serving breakfast all day. I had "steak and grits" which was a tasty bowl of cheese grits with a generous portion of thin grilled "cheese steak style" beef on top. It came with a flaky and fresh homemade biscuit and was a great breakfast with just a touch of hot sauce added. It's not a great spot to walk too early in the morning from a local hotel. We met a character on the street who told us to "watch out for the crazies in the area". That said, we didn't feel unsafe, but it would have been preferable to drive or scooter to the market. There was plenty of parking and uniformed security on site. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped with meal suggestions.

Came to this place this past Saturday morning and when I tell you I was not disappointed at all! The food was amazing and delicious!! "True Grits" was our server and was attentive to our needs! The french toast and bougie biscuits are to die for!! My omelette had the freshest, hottest jalapeños!! Just good! OMG! I'm gonna always be bougie when I come back! #foodandservicewasA1 Thanks, Huskers Cafe! My friend and I enjoyed our brunch date!

Our first time in and definitely won't be our last. The staff was super polite and the service was fast. Think Waffle House with less grease . There is also parking outside with the first hour being complimentary with validation. We ordered the buttermilk breakfast plate and the omelette both were well seasoned. The food was hot and fresh, you can truly tell when food has been recently prepared or sitting out for a few (especially bacon) . -FOODis£0¥€

Food came out super fast, service was VERY attentive and friendly. Even with their limited breakfast menu everything was absolutely delicious! Coffee great, biscuits was baked so great! I got the chicken egg and cheese on a biscuit and it was gone in minutes because it was AMAZING! My mom got the hustlers omelette with salmon and the salmon alone was incredible - GREAT seasoning on it and she said "hands down the best omelette I've ever had." We were able to taste the cheese grits and WOW! My sister hates grits and she LOVED them! Highly recommend coming in and trying! I will definitely be back!

Wish I could give more stars! Service - incredible - what delightful employees. Food - insanely great. Biggest issue is they don't have one in Delaware If you are in Atlanta, go here to eat last because no one is going to top the hospitality and food of Huskers! Save the best for last!

Awesome food and service. I purchased at Auburn Market. They are located at the back of the market. The only negative is their dining room is not open yet. No place to sit and eat.

Cute little shop in this farmer's market area. I ordered the breakfast combo with French toast, grits, eggs, and bacon all for $11. A price you can't beat. The French toast was so delicious and tasted just like a home cooked meal, very cinnamon and perfectly sweet. The bacon was crispy and cooked nicely. I can't wait to come here again, highly recommend!

Had the salmon shrimp and grits. Very nice presentation And delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop by you won't be disappointed.

My delivery experience with this establishment is the worst. I placed an order at 10:50 and was advised it would be ready by 1130. They never updates us or called to advised that it would take longer and then when we called they said 40 additional min. Over an hr ago and no food, then they canceled our order. Wen we spoke with them, they were rude and defensive.

The staff was amazing and the food was as well! Great breakfast and brunch restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and Cheese grits and it came with a biscuit on the side. Probably the best I've had in a long time. Great family atmosphere!

My husband ordered the egg special with biscuit and they gave him bread instead. He said the food wasn't good quality. Disappointing.

We got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. The service and the music were also great! If your in the Sweet Auburn Curb market and you're in the mood for breakfast or brunch, I'd definitely recommend it! Most places now a days are an hour wait or longer for brunch with Covid now. This place had no wait, the tables were spaced out, everyone wore masks, and the food was delicious!!!!

We hosted a event there this past weekend and they were extremely nice . The owner Mr.Kelly and his staff were very hospitable. They helped us with whatever we needed with no questions . It was a great atmosphere and the food was AMAZING !!! I would definitely recommend anybody to go and try them out you won't regret it . We appreciate all of their kindness and help . It felt like home to us and we were treated like family !! Huskers Cafe is definitely a great spot and I'll visit Atlanta more just to come here !! Thank you .

Bangin. Good amount of seating. Nice open vibe. Great service. I had a chicken biscuit, chicken met all standards on my list: tender, crispy, well seasoned. My boy got a salmon melt and 3 pancakes, got the check, then got a french toast. I like my chicken and also complimentary sides so next time I will probably go for the before and after.

Very chill restaurant. The restaurant is located inside the market which is interesting plus a bonus for some people. The food was delicious the people were nice. Food was hot and fresh. Pancakes were smacking my taste buds. I'll recommend you try it if you're in the area.

Loved this spot in the back of Sweet Auburn market! The breakfast is always hot and delicious and the owner Kelly is such a kind heart. The shrimp and grits were my favorite by far. I also like that they've been taking care of essential workers with their bogo services. Also, this location is black owned which you love to see! Can't wait to come back soon for brunch!

I tried this place from Grubhub and waited over an hour and half while others placed their orders and left before me. I gave them my name three times and was told to sit down just to find out they hadn't even started my order. Cost me more money when I had to pay for parking because they had me waiting for so long.

Horrible experience. Waited over 15 minutes before someone acknowledged us waiting for a table. Another family came in and was seated immediately. When we finally got to the table we ordered hot chocolate (it arrived in the power form and we were required to mix it in the hot water ourselves) mugs and silverware was stained. Needless to say, we ended this visit short. It was my bday and I was upset at the service here.

Huskers is located in the Auburn street market. Their specialty are grits. They have salmon and grits, shrimp and grits, steak and grits, fish and grits, and sauage and grits. They have other dishes as well and serve breakfast and lunch. I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had breakfast in a bowl. We both were highly impressed with the food and service!
