HVAC Pub

Admittedly not my scene as it turns out. I was expecting a little pub to hang at and enjoy some local beers. Turns out it's a club? The music at 6pm was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Okay, so that is just personal preference on my part so take it as you see fit. However, charging 9.00 for a Bud Light and 11.00 for a Stella is criminal to me. I assume this place fills up with young customers who are looking to dance and don't really seem to pay attention, I don't know. Also seemed like the bartender was a bit confused about pricing so maybe she was wrong. I was actually surprised at the pricing in Chicago and how most places were reasonable and pretty much in line as what it costs in Detroit so to get price gouged here was disappointing. After reading other reviews it seems tip was included (?). That certainly was not visible from where I was standing nor was I told that. I paid with cash. Since I wasn't aware of that, she got a pretty damn good tip. Hmmm...review remains the same. That really annoys me. I can even understand doing it even if it was for 2 drinks but it needs to be made very clear.

The DJ was immaculate DJ rage, however my niece got into a scuffle with some girls inside of the club however, I did not get into the scuffle and I was still put out and by security. I am trying to reach the owner of this club because I have some property that was damaged and I was trying to talk to the security, which was not having it or was trying to hear me. I felt unsafe and was put in harms way after they put me and my niece out the club or bar whatever you wanna call it as well as the girls, which was a group of five possibly And we were attacked So I am trying to reach the owner if you can please email me ASAP as well as we also felt like the drinks were definitely overcharged $33 for two Tito‘s and lemonade is insane. Is that included with the tip because I still tipped at the end of the day, but that’s just insane once again Owner please reach out to me! Sincerely, a person trying to have a nice time with their niece and a what I thought was a nice and safe neighborhood!

Will say I was enjoying my time with friends from my home town at the wrigley bar crawl until who I now know as the co-owner laid hands on me to which I took them off me and expressed not to touch me. I had done nothing more than try to follow my group of friends around the bar. Following taking his hands off me two security guards then escorted me outside with no explanation and again I had done nothing wrong. The co-owner then proceeded to come out and insult me once more all the while cowardly doing this all behind his security. Seeing the many reviews I can see I am not the only the only one this has happened to. Overall the absolute worst bar on that entire street by far and owner in definite need of reevaluation.

How to review this one. They were closed for a private party, but I got to use the restroom. LOL

Staff at the bar were wonderful. Very attentive. Asked for a stamp to go outside and make a call. Security said if I left the building, I would have to stand in line. Which was very long outside. Like common? This made me never what to come back here. Had a great time but will not return or recommend

would leave zero stars if i could. i visited this bar with my boyfriend and we accidentally left our coats inside and when we went to retrieve our belongings the large female bouncer had what could only be described as a temper tantrum and started screaming at us, physically intimidating us and throwing things, scaring off multiple other patrons in the line outside who voiced their discomfort and left as soon as they saw her antics. another bouncer eventually let us inside to grab our coats but i am genuinely shocked by the service we received here. drinks were incredibly overpriced, can't believe we spent almost $100 on 4 drinks just to recieve this kind of treatment. avoid at all costs

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My sister, 5 of her friends, and I were in line to enter this establishment when a female approached us stating that they don’t take themed parties. We found this very weird and biased. So because we wore similar outfits, we can’t enter your establishment. Very interesting.

Loved the setup here. The staff was very warm and sociable. I was told to try their unique sourdough crust pizza which is very different from the usual Chicago staple but was very delicious. Great tasting drinks, the stage for performances is small and close to the bar so you get a intimate vibe for a venue. 50 cent performed the Saturday prior to our visit so to see how crowded and great that even must have been really shows the potential of this bar. Right next to Wrigley Field and decorated with a mural design throughout the entire exterior and interior of the building, this is definitely a cool place to check out of you are visiting the Northside of town.

The female bouncer biting her finger nail and then proceeding to shove them in my purse is disturbing. I don't want any germs associated with that in my bag. Give gloves or something. Besides that downside, the drinks were alright up until I was given a disappointing margarita. Ambiance is nice I liked the DJ. For future reference please give that girl some hand sanitizer shoving your hand in your mouth then into someone purse is gross.

I guess the night I went they were only serving pizza. I ordered a sausage pizza and beer. Pizza was mid, definitely nothing to rave over. It was decent drunk food I'll give them that. Service was Ight, it was pretty busy so it's understandable. The music was good and vibes were lit. FYI: drinks are pricey and I believe they already put a service charge on your bill. Dress code is strict tho, check their website before you head out there...

I'm in here now, dj needs to cater to the women. Play twerk/shake booth music. It'll turn it up

Very dissatisfied with my musty vodka soda. My brother got a tequila soda and I'm fairly certain the only reason it didn't taste musty was because tequila has a distinctive taste. Along with the drink leaving a bad taste in my mouth, the bill did as well. I'm fine with paying roughly 12 bucks for a drink and also paying for a restaurant surcharge and gratuity in one. What is kinda scammy is also having the suggested tip if gratuity is already included. I always tip but are you almost taking advantage of people not totally looking at the bill at the club? Weird vibes and definitely won't be back.

I had a fun time at this bar/dance club on a very cold Saturday night visiting Chicago. This whole street is filled with bars that have a DJ or live music. I had a great time barhopping. The music here was played by a DJ and it was mostly hip-hop and rap with a few pop songs. Lots of Twerking and trying to stand on the tables. the age group was mixed. Definitely some early 20s kids but also some men and women in their early 40s of all races, I enjoyEd the diversity. The place was pretty packed. Lots of drunk people shoving you and not saying excuse me lol. I am 27 and I'm already over that type of thing. It was still a good time though. They did not have a cover charge. The drinks were expensive. my high noon was either 11 or $12.

The worst bar I've been to. My friends had bottle service and the guard wouldn't let me in the section because he said I couldn't go over the 10 person limit. Once there were 5 people left I asked if I could meet my friends since it was a 10 person limit and he called security on me... Roughly 6'5 man was so sexist and disrespectful to me I am in shock. Fire him.

I was recently invited to Hvac's new brunch option every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1PM - 3PM! It was a fantastic experience. Me and 5 friends showed up (a little late) at 1:30PM and were greeted upon arrival with a table all setup + a balloon with my name on it. We got 2 complimentary bottles of champagne and a complimentary chicken bacon pizza. The table was setup was so thoughtful and the pizza was surprisingly very very tasty. My 2 girlfriends also ordered chicken tenders tossed in barbecue sauce that they said really hit the spot. The mimosas tied the entire experience together! The ambiance was great. I have frequented HVac at nighttime however I liked it more during the day as it wasn't as crowded, we could hear the people around us, and the decorations in the joint are actually cute (I could never see them at night haha!) Overall a fantastic experience. If you haven't checked out this new brunch spot you definitely need to. Great staff, good food, and amazing drinks. Thanks HVac!!!!

NEVER GO HERE!!!!! I've never felt more unsafe, mistreated, and dismissed in my entire life. The bad started when my friends got vodka crans at the bar and the bartenders made them with tequila. When my friends asked for them to be re-made as they paid and were given the wrong drinks, the bartenders said no since they already sipped them. Then the bartenders whispered behind the bar to their other staff, laughing at the situation. Finally, one bartender said she'd remake them and gave them only cranberry juice, with no alcohol. Even though they fully paid for these drinks! The night got worse when I was leaving. I was assaulted IN the establishment and the security yelled at ME! A guy pulled my hair and yanked me to the ground, while the security sat there watching and doing nothing at all. My friend stepped in and had to kick the guy to get him off me and on our way out, the security yelled at us. I've never felt more disrespected and disgusted in my entire life. Never EVER go here. They are horrible and disgusting. They do not care about their customers at all. The worst part is when I reached out to the owner he told me I was lying, that nothing like that could happen in his establishment. Truly, truly I can not express enough how horrible this place is. Do not give them your business. EVER.

Second time I've been here and I had such wonderful memories of the first so I'm sad to leave two stars. We were so excited to come by with the outdoor tables but the service was terrible. Our waitress was very kind but must have been the only waitress for the entire establishment because we never saw her. When we did, we had already waited for 20 min. Then tried to reorder and record the wrong drinks. Tried to get new drinks and she never returned. We couldn't even pay because she never returned so we are hoping the cash we left in the table made it her way. Music and ambiance was great though. And I recall the pizza was good. Willing to come back and check it out but highly recommend ordering multiple drinks and the check asap!!

Had a really good time. Servers were nice. Music is louder than most clubs but good regardless. Very clean bathrooms and club wise.

Okay, so I'm not a party bar kind of guy. And that is literally the only reason why I am not giving this place 5/5. The bar is great, the drinks are great, and the entertainment is great. The food is good, but the selection is quite limited. Sure, that could be a COVID thing, and I get it. But they could do so much better. The music here is awesome. In fact the bar really represents as a music venue and it does a great job as such. I will absolutely be back here for the music! As a sports bar, meh. I understand that they are in the running to be the new Vikings bar. And if that's the case, I will re-review the place as a 7/5!! Skol! Drinks are good. This place has changed a lot. The bartenders , owner and di were okay but the new security guards made my last experience terrible. I had a great time until it was time to leave. Me and my friend were waiting on our Lyft and a female security said "y'all ass gotta leave" we told her that our Lyft is 2 minute away but another security back her up and said " bitch you have to go" then he kept calling me "naked" "why are you wearing a dress anyway" The promoter told them it wasn't an issue and they told him "fuck you". I slowly walked out with my friend and the guard came out and continued to argue with me seconds before our Lyft pulled up. So unnecessary

Was there last Saturday after the Cubs/Sox game and had a great time. Great music, drinks and staff! The guys at the door are awesome and were very friendly and made sure customers were safe amongst the somewhat rowdy crowd on the streets. Can't wait to go back!

Went to HVAC on a Thursday afternoon following a cubs game & had a great time. Went again on a Friday evening and enjoyed myself. Saturday evening I stopped by with my business manager to have a drink and was stopped by security and informed that overnight there was suddenly a new policy not allowing entry for anyone with head or face tattoos. As professional artist & entertainer I was shocked that an establishment like a pub which features live bands would institute such a discriminatory policy. I literally showed the security a picture of me in the bar the day before that I took with some staff and patrons, and he stated that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. Clearly HVAC IS COOL WITH DISCRIMINATION which makes it a place I definitely would not recommend.

Disgustingly, painfully loud music. Don't ever go here after a Cubs game no matter how busy it is nearby.

One of my favorite pubs in the Wrigleyville neighborhood in Chicago. Few blocks down from the Cubs stadium itself. You will know when you're near this pub because you can hear it from a couple blocks away. The music here has always been good and the atmosphere always lively. Finding a table is a hit-or-miss but hanging out at the bar is as nice. Haven't been able to take note of the scotch or cognac collection but I doubt this would be the place for me to sip on either or. Beer selection is okay but sit back and enjoy the music. HVAC also prides itself on its pizza and food as well. I must say, I haven't had too much food here but I'm sure it will add to the atmosphere just as well. Outdoor patio is perfect for those summer days as well. I'll always be swinging by this place before a Cubs game.

When you're in Wrigleyville, you need to drink; there's no exception. Luckily there are spots all over the neighborhood to fill your belly. The only issue is, which spot? Most of these bars are filled with douches, chads, suburbanites, etc., so your options are limited. I took it upon myself to take on this quest and find a douche-free establishment. Eventually, I gave up and had some drinks at HVAC pub. In all seriousness, this bar wasn't half bad. They serve some decent beers, they got a food menu, and live music. They had an amazing violinist there last night that was just an incredible entertainer. Lot of TV's there too to catch a game that's not the Cubs. Music can get loud here so having conversation can get a little tough, but you're not in Wrigleyville to talk, you're there to drink! Bottoms up!

I would personally like to thank the bouncers at HVAC for allowing a guest to throw their beer onto the top balcony and hitting us, then doing nothing. We get that the other guests thought someone had spilled on them, but allowing it to continue is ridiculous.

I love HVAC! Night life is always fun in Wrigley because of the good music HVAC has! The food is great too! I love the grilled chicken thunder cluck sandwich! The beer selection is great!!

First time here last night idk if that's the usual vibe there or that's how it is after a Cubs game but it was lively. Service was good, bartender with the glasses was superb. Music was thumpin' the place was jumpin' it was dope. Only thing I have to say was one of the bouncers was kinda a dick. He was helping clear the way for tables to be brought out from inside. I was standing by one of the tables in the isle way and he kinda pushed me out of the way twice. He didn't even say excuse me, I didn't appreciate that it was unprofessional. Idk how big of a dude you are you don't just push customers around like that. That's why I give it a 4 and not a 5.

My boyfriend and I arrived a few hours early for the Cubs game. I had picked out a few restaurants to try beforehand. Unfortunately, he thought they were all too far, and we settled on this place. I think he thought it looked cool because it had a rock 'n' roll feel to it. The sign outside said HVAC, and we didn't know what that stood for. I wanted to check in on Yelp but HVAC wasn't coming up. The restaurant name was not listed on the menu, so we googled it, and the restaurant wasn't even on Google Maps. We got the name from our receipt. We were seated inside at first, but a band was playing way too loudly, like ear blisteringly loud. The music was so loud that people inside were covering their ears. I think the people playing were from School of Rock Chicago. So we moved outside in the sun. I don't know why they don't have umbrellas on all the tables. The flimsy tree we sat under couldn't cover both of us and we didn't want to go back inside because of the excessively loud music, so we suffered under the sun a bit. First world problems, man. We ordered the rock-a-hula pizza. It had pineapple, prosciutto, and arugula. When we got the pizza, my boyfriend joked "I didn't order a salad on our pizza." I told him fresh veggies were trending on pizzas right now. It was quite a mix of flavors but the pizza was really good. I would definitely order it again. Service was lacking. Our waitress did not refill my water. Other servers were checking on their tables, but ours was MIA. We thought about going to another place to grab a drink before the game after our meal, but there were people everywhere and restaurants looked crowded as the game inched closer. We would've stayed here and ordered drinks but seating sucked and our server did not check in on us.

plastic cups for beer. auto added gratuity. frozen pizza. and a bathroom attendant? 80 degrees outdoor and no patio furniture. this place is busted up.

Love this spot. My go to bar whenever I'm in wrigley and coming or going from a Cubs game. They have a staff and vibe all around. Offer bottle service as well!

This place is amazing. If you are ever in Wrigleyville and hungry this is a must stop place. They don't have a huge menu , but their pizza is out of this world. They have a potato pizza, a barbecue and honey mustard pizza, and this awesome shrimp pizza. Im in Franklin Park and will go there just for that The service is really great. Everyone is super friendly. One of the bartenders, shelly , she is really sweet and strikes up a conversation with you. She has never been in a bad mood or gives anyone attitude like many upon many bartenders tend to do! She gave us her opinion on which pizzas to try and she was right on point! They have live music sometimes and karaoke i think on Tuesdays . Its a nice newer modern bar too, gets crowded at times but they have an upstairs they open up when a lot of people come in!

Saw it was relatively empty prior to the Cubbies game, so I went in and sat at the bar with the wife. After watching the two bartenders talk and take shots with some other customers for about 10 minutes, we left. Now I know why it was so empty. Went to Vines down the street, instead. Great decision.

Went here before the Lady Gaga concert at Wrigley Field. We got there early enough (4:30) so it was very empty, by 6:30 though it was packed!! Be sure to get there early enough or make a reservation. Prices were very reasonable for Wrigleyville, especially for pitchers of drinks---$30 for mixed drink pitchers divided by 8 people. We had our fair share of food between pizza, nachos, Mac and cheese. The spinach pizza and macaroni had to be my favorite. Good place to stop when in Wrigley, or just for dinner and drinks.

Great service and atmosphere. Server was attentive and got me refills on booze quickly.

I know this doesn't mean much but HVAC let me use the bathroom after closing which is a major WIN in my book! Thank you HVAc!! I will be back just for that!

I love HVAC! My friends and I live in Wrigley and frequent this place alwayssss. They have live music and DJs on the weekends so be prepared to dance!! Staff is efficient and professional! The guys at the door always remember my friends & I and are very welcoming! The bartenders always give quick service, and the music is always nice and loud If you're in Wrigley, definitely check this place out if you want to have a good time!

I wish I could give zero stars for their customer service. If you lose anything at this bar, you'll never get it back. And you won't hear from anybody either. I lost my wallet/id/credit cards/insurance card and when I tried to call, it automatically went to voice mail every time. So I did what the voice mail told me to do and I left a message and then emailed them about Lost and found. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard back from them at all. They couldn't care less about their customers. And the drinks were shit too. Terrible place all around.

If I could, I would give ZERO stars. Not only am I upset about the massive mouth drying dusting of grainy flour sitting on the bottom of the pizza, I am also upset that when my pizza arrived, the pizza was in disarray! I do not order out often and when I do I expect it to be good. After looking at many restaurants, I chose to order from here. I will not be ordering again and I want a REFUND. The pizza is barely edible with the massive dusting of unappetising flour on the bottom. Once you look at the pictures I upload I think anyone will understand my fury. I stopped eating my first slice to write this review. UPDATE: I called DoorDash, the delivery service, and got a refund; however, I still will not be ordering from the restaurant again! The manager I talked to at the restaurant said what I understood as there nothing was wrong with having the flour on the bottom of the pizza. Yes, I understand sometimes places use flour on the bottom to keep it from sticking, but NEVER that much. Won't be getting food from here again! I can guarantee it!

We went here after a Cubs game and loved that they had a live band (and no cover charge!). We were able to find a table and settle in with some drinks from the bar and enjoy the music. Only giving this review 4 stars as there were 0 servers around and no chance for us to order any food. We visited for a good amount of time before leaving since we couldn't track down a server or a menu to order from despite the table behind us having some half eaten food. Was very disappointed as we enjoyed the vibe and the music, certainly wanted to give them more of our money but they didn't seem to want to. Bartenders were excellent however, big plus there. Wish we could have stayed longer but alas we ended up going down the street. Maybe will try again when we're back in town.

This was the Wild Hare. 8 Hospitality team opened it a couple years ago and named it Hvac? Whats HVAC. Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning? Typical Wrigleyville bro bar. Drunk frat boys and tipsy Depaul freshman girls. Puke in the bathroom. On any given night it smells like jock straps and dirty feet. Typical crappy top 40 and wanna be hip hop blasting so loud you cant think. The bartenders need a lesson from Bar Rescue. They have absolutely no clue how to mix a cocktail. Beer is warm, beer lines need cleaning, ice dispenser has black mold. Food. Typical SYSCO bar food. Fried and microwaved. I give this place 2 years and they will change the name. Bottom line. Stay away. There are much better places in the area.

Unfortunately, I've been coming here for a few years now as the University of Tennessee has their alumni watch parties here and it never ceases to amaze me how expensive and poorly run this place is. Additionally, their food menu these days basically consists of only below average pizza, mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, that's it. Prices are out of control, you'll be paying $9 for a draft beer, shots are anywhere from $10-13 a pop without disclosing it, and food prices aren't great either. It's unfortunate because it's a really nice space, but unless you're looking for bad food at River North prices, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Avoid this place at all costs. My friend purposely booked a 2hr wristband deal for her birthday and even came this morning to double check with them because we've heard how incompetent they are. Our deal was supposed to start at 9 and now we're STILL in line at 9:30 and when we asked the bouncer if we can get in because we're a private party with a 2hr time slot he literally straight up told us to "go f*** ourselves". How do you run this business with trash like this?

On 6/8, around 11:30 PM my friend and I came for salsa relief night. Salsa night was very fun, the band was great, and the bartenders upstairs made delicious drinks. However, the bouncer at the door gave my 22 year old friend unnecessary trouble about her ID which was very off putting. We decided to let it slide and so we went out again for salsa night on 6/15 and this time the bouncer would not let my friend in despite her being 22. My friends is a bartender downtown and was willing to call her manager and provide other documents to prove her identity/age but he refused. The bouncer proceeded to take her driver's license and she complained because of course ... how would she be able to drive/ what if she was to be pulled over? After receiving rude treatment and hostility, we went to other bars in Wrigley and gave our business elsewhere. I suggest that you follow our lead and take your business elsewhere because the bouncers are rude and wouldn't be able to tell a fake id from a real one!

Wife asked me here on a coffee date, told me it was a great spot for the ice coffee. She tricked me and served me our divorce papers and told me she was going to ask for $3000 a month in child support. Waitress walked past me crying 3 times and didn't ask me if i wanted a refill on my water! Never coming back. Bad juju.

The pizza is really good! This used to be the spot of Falcos and Nicks. I love the pepperoni pizza the best here! They have live bands sometimes which I like! They carry a lot of different beers on hand which is good! I like how it isn't as crowded as sluggers as well so can usually get a seat easily! The pipes on the ceiling is cool too!

One of many bars along the main Wrigleyville strip on Clark, went here before a Cubs game, I'll give it credit in that it had quite a lot of craft beer, more than usual, and also some cool house cocktails, I got the arrieta rita, and was only $9 so not too bad, didn't get any of the food, but the plates I saw looked good and big, if you're looking to drink in Wrigleyville it's not a bad place to stop by

Went to HVAC for the first time yesterday before the Cubs game and I was amazed (shouldn't of been because Adolfo always amazes). Had the seafood cob salad which was huge and one of the best I have ever had. The pizza is also great. So many different beers I wanted to try all 80 Such a cool spot that has a great vibe, great service and great food. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so much fun, engaging, knowledgeable and a great ambassador. I can't wait to go back for the live music and to also sit outside on their huge patio.

Can't really write an accurate review if I was never even addressed by a staff member. We waited 15 minutes and was never greeted by a server. Not cool!

As with most things wrigleyville, this should be your pregame cubs game spot and probably not much else. Though i don't love the decor you can't knock the effort. But you can knock the prices.

If you want to listen to loud aggressive house music while trying to enjoy dinner at 7pm on a Tuesday this is your place. But if you want a nice dinner and a good time go somewhere else

Amazing pizza!! Even just a plain pepperoni pizza is amazing. Best Mac n chz pizza I've ever had and there's 3 places on Clark with Mac n chz pizza-- tip: slices are only served after 9pm and if going for pre/post Cubs game make sure to order your pizza right away if they're busy-- Service is great, bartenders know their products and are very fast and efficient, reasonable drink prices and considerably cheaper compared to other Wrigley bars--$5 domestic beers/$6 wells Love the bands: Djs for post game even if it's day time hours! Definite must go!

This was one of my friend and I favorite bar until this past Sunday. The crowd was on the trashy side and by trashy I mean trouble makers. This girl started bumping into my friend and calling my guy friend a faggot repeatedly. We of course defended ourselves as they started to get physical. Security kicked them out and then kicked us out right after knowing this group of about 7 is waiting outside for us. I have to mention there was only 3 of us. We got outside and they pounced us without zero help from security. It's as if they wanted a fight. I will NEVER return to this bar again.

Attentive staff, amazing food and great atmosphere. Definitely worth reserving a table for large groups on game day! Great experience overall! We will be back.

This bar looks like someone got really excited about decorating it, then lost interest halfway. The lights and the wall decor are very cute, but the impression gets ruined by their plastic plates and single use water cups. The food was overall bad - they ran out of chicken so a couple of people in our group had what can only be described as wraps filled with lettuce and dressing. Combine this with the slow and inconsistent service and it makes up for a pretty bad impression.
