This place is truly a hidden gem run by the sweetest Korean husband-and-wife duo. From the moment we walked in, they were incredibly hospitable and welcoming, which already made the experience special. We stopped by while on a road trip from Savannah toward Florida and were craving some Korean food. After doing some research on Reddit to find an authentic spot, this place came up — and it absolutely delivered! The food comes very close to homemade Korean cooking. My husband is Korean, and I studied in Korea for four years, so we’re pretty particular when it comes to Korean food. We ordered the Pork Bulgogi and Galbitang, and both were delicious. We devoured everything, and my husband even ordered an extra bowl of rice, which is always the ultimate sign of approval. This spot is well worth the stop and we’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again

Amazing hole in the wall kind of place. Run by I'm presuming a nice family and the decoration is photos in the restaurant or of the family! It's the kind of atmosphere where it feels like you were invited over for dinner. No music playing either, by the way, just a TV. Food feels home-cooked and wholesome! There's a long list of options (50+) so it's definitely a place to keep coming back to.

This place was great. I was down in Brunswick visiting my mom and decided that I wanted to try some of their Korean restaurants in the town. I decided to go to this one and I was not disappointed. I lived in Korea for a couple of months Back when I was 12 years old and this reminded me of the food that I used to eat over there. I have had Korean food over the years and nothing really ever came close but this did. I got the Yaki Mandu and the Bulgogi and rice. The goalie was very juicy tender and tasted great. The Yaki Mandu Was crispy and tasted amazing. It is a very small restaurant maybe eight tables on the inside. And I do believe it is family owned, so there will be a little weight when it comes to getting your food. Overall, it is worth the wait because the food is good it comes out fresh. The portions of food are great, especially for a single person. The two negatives that I will mention is, the food is expensive, and they no longer sell kimbab.

The place is amazing. I've traveled all over the world and I thought I knew good Korean food. One of my favorite restaurants in Almaty, Kazakhstan was a fine dining Korean restaurant but honestly? This place serves better food. It's funny because it has zero curb appeal. It looks like it'll be a greasy spoon hole in the wall but then when your food comes out it's simply delicious. It's set up in typical East Asian style with pics of all the food on the wall. I always like that. You can look at the menu with words then compare it to the picture on the wall. It's pricey it's worth every penny. If the food is worth the price I'll never complain. I'm happy to pay top dollar for amazing food. I've eaten at too many places around Brunswick now that are expensive but terrible. I think this place may be my new favorite restaurant. You should go. It won't disappoint.

I can tell alot of people here never had korean food the beef bulgogi is TRASH the supposed to be cucumber kimchi is so terrible the seaweed salad omg what are yall doing seriously never again if anyone wants real korean take the drive to pooler ga. FYI we spend $100+ because we're in town visiting and wanted korean and this was well wasted.

Excellent food good people,Found this by acident wife had the frid rice (she said it was very good I would agree had a smoky tast one of the best I had and I eat alot of fried rice). I got the bibimbop in a stone bowl and was very happy and full. I also noticed at least 3 korean familes come in to eat there.

I ordered a lot of food not expecting this much. . No surrender, no leftovers.. Generous portion, great food, and the server was so friendly. Thanks again for such a great late dinner!

Korean food tends to be expensive in the States but this place felt especially pricey. However, after tasting the food, it all makes sense. The portions are huge, and everything from the main dishes to the side dishes is delicious. The kimchi, in particular, tastes like freshly made kimchi, which I really liked. As a Korean, I can say that this place offers very authentic Korean food. However, the one disappointing thing was that they didn't use sticky short rice to cook the rice; instead, they used long rice. In Korea, no one eats long rice... The two ladies(Ajummas) working there are very busy but always check if we need anything.

The BEST Korean food and the owners are very nice and friendly. Very clean and fast service! It's a true gem for Brunswick!

Usually order to go but it's a small family owned restaurant. They're very polite & take care of their customers from what I've observed. The food is really good. Will definitely keep going back & would recommend.

We were in the Brunswick area to explore and came upon this Korean restaurant. Upon walking in, it is very reminiscent of a mom and pop shop. Very cute and lots of photos of menu items throughout the shop. Plenty of parking around as it was in a small, outdoor strip like complex. The service was great and the ladies were super sweet and accommodating. We chose a table and were waited on immediately. They give you a lot for the prices you are paying for. I will say the prices are a little bit on the pricier side, but the quality and portion sizes were wow! We got the following: Kimbap: 8/10 - essentially like their version of a sushi roll but it's filled with daikon radish, rice, carrots, bulgogi, veggies, etc. For the price, you get alot! Like two rolls! The rolls are cut up into sushi-like pieces and each bite is more delicious than the last. Tip is to dip it in some soy sauce for extra flavor. Galbi short ribs: 9/10 - I love galbi and depending on the place, they either give you thin cuts (which I've had about 85% of the time at Korean restaurants) but here, the pieces were not only thick, but huge! We had a hefty portion and although it was thick, it was tender and fell off the bone! My husband and I shared the plate and we still had some leftover to take to-go! The marinade was just right as it was sweet, salty, and oh so delicious! Beef bulgogi bibimbap in a hot stone pot: 9/10 - my husband always gets this and their version of this exceeded his expectations, It came sizzling hot and the flavors were dancing on his palette! Bibimbap generally means along the side of "mixing rice" and that's exactly what you have to do here. It comes with the meat, veggies, rice and since this is the hot stone pot version, you have to mix it right away when you get it so the rice doesn't burn. However, if you're like us and like the bits of crispy, burnt rice at the bottom of the pot, then wait a few more minutes to mix it. I feel that burnt rice enhances the flavor of everything else. They also have a regular version without the hot stone pot if you're more into that. This came with a side of gochuchang (Korean red pepper paste) and not sure what brand they use or if they made it in house but it tasted pretty good. All the dishes came with rice and banchan (side dishes). My only critique is that I wished they had more side dishes but that's okay. The ones they provided were delicious, especially the kimchi. Overall, a nice place with authentic Korean food. I cannot wait to come back to try more dishes on the menu! If we're in the area again, definitely stopping by again.

The place was small, but clean and interesting. The pictures on the wall were pretty cool. The owner came out and explained all the food, and gave us good suggestions based on what we liked. The food was perfect in every way. It was hot, flavored perfectly, and I ended up buying a whole jar of kimshi home. They have a fridge with jars of freshly made kimshi and other items. I will definately be back, and I traveled 65 miles to get there. The owner and her husband have been in business for 30 plus years, so authenticity is definately there. Don't miss this one. You won't be sorry.

The restaurant is located in a plaza that shares a parking lot with other businesses [no need to parallel park here :)]. The restaurant does not easily accommodate large groups. The seating is made up of moveable tables pushed together. Due to room dimensions, the largest group that this place can seat comfortably is approximately 10 people at once. This is a good spot for smaller groups. The food was solid. I had the Tofu Soup with eggs/clams and was able to adjust the spicy level as needed. The flavor was pretty great. Others in my party ordered bulgogi (beef, chicken, and pork) and all mentioned that they really enjoyed it. The japchae (glass noodles) was really great as well (we had this to share with the group). I was also impressed by the banchan (side dishes). Loved the potatoes and bean sprouts especially! Soju and beers are also served at this location and can complement your meal should you need it. Not a big fan of the fact that they charge $3 for a bowl of rice if you get something (e.g. hotpot) that doesn't come with some rice already (e.g. bulgogi) The only downside is that the location can feel slightly understaffed, if you're coming at peak times or if the restaurant is busy. The staff was helpful and friendly, but you may need to remind them of water refills. Final payment is done at the front of the restaurant. Food pricing is in the $20-$30 range for dishes for one. All in all, I would definitely come back for more (with a smaller group).

The food was fantastic. Service quick and friendly. I've lived in several states including CA in the LA and San Diego area where there is a large Korean population and good food is easy to find. This place is better than one of my favorite places. Best I've had on the east coast. The only reason for 4 stars is we only got two sides 반찬 while we noticed other tables got several. Maybe it's related to the dish. But I have ordered this dish several times and always gotten several side dishes. Either way fantastic food. Highly recommend.

This place is the real deal! My boyfriend and I came here during our stay on Jekyll Island and were extremely impressed! The food is awesome and such a unique find. As someone who is Korean food enthusiast, this place is on the same level as spots in Miami, NYC, and Atlanta. If you decide to support this family business, you won't be disappointed! Highly reccomend the LA Galbi; it's 10/10.

What an amazing Korean Restaurant housed in Brunswick, GA. We were happily greeted upon entry. It is a sweet little restaurant. The menu can be found on the wall. That might help you order. Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food. It's worth the wait. Bulgogi is always a safe item to order at a Korean restaurant if you are new to ordering . The stone bowl did not disappoint. I would consider coming here once a week to try all of the dishes if I lived in the area. If I'm passing by again, I'll definitely return. I hope you try this very nice Korean restaurant and if you do based on this review, I hope your dining experience is as wonderful as mine.

Great little shop. To me it seems very Authentic. I always try to visit places at least two times before writing a review. Both times were excellent. The two lady's are very sweet. We even had the chef from the back come out and show us how to drink the soju with the side dish of seaweed. It was a great combination. This was a great spot to visit while our work group spent a month in Brunswick.

Best Korean Restaurant south of Atlanta. Very traditional Korean taste. My favorites are the Beef Galbi, Beef or Pork Bulgogi soup, whole fish, and the Kimchi which they make themselves and other dishes that are just out of this world. It's all delicious. My wife and I eat here at least once a month. Gerry R

The chef of this restaurant (who is also the owner) is absolutely amazing and super kind. The food is jaw dropping good and this is NOT an exaggeration. Korean people know that this man is beyond amazing at cooking the best tasting Korean food in Georgia. A little secret about this chef: his grandmother taught him to cook and guess who his grandmother was???? She was a cook for the last Korean Kingdom of Joseon. This place is a gem. Seriously!

We were passing through Brunswick on our way home to Florida and found "the best"( 4.8 rating) restaurant in this small town. It was a last day of our long vacation and we wanted to celebrate it in a good place. The restaurant looked on a very cheap side but we were hungry and tiered and decided to give it a try. We ordered Korean pancake with seafood, soup with dumplings and stir fryer octopus. Also some ginger wine and beer. Everything was good but octopus was absolutely inedible and not chewable, tough and rubbery. When we complained about it, the owner- lady brought a little burner to our table and put our dish on it, making it even more disgusting. We couldn't eat it and asked for the check. This dish were not cheap one ($26) and was included in the bill ( we didn't touch it). We had a bad feeling and left, paying the full amount but leaving no tips ( and we are usually very generous with it). Any self - respecting establishment would offer some compensation or replacement. Very disappointed.

This hidden gem is a Korean mom and pop shop is small, but packing a punch with flavors. Came here with my homeboy and everything we ordered was A1! If you want the authentic Korean food experience, please come here! 2. Dong nae PA jun: korean style pancake with green onions, seafood and eggs: super filling and yummy! 5. Stir fried bulgogi: marinated beef, onion, green onion: juicy and flavorful. 6. La gal bee: thin sliced beef ribs marinated in chef special sauce: SUPER FLAVORFUL and JUICY! 14. Soon doo boo: spicy tofu soup with clams and eggs.

Great, authentic spot that I suspect is family-owned. Not fancy in terms of ambiance, but the attention from the staff was very personable and expediently brought our drinks and food. The food was really excellent. We had the flanken style short ribs (Kalbi) and Japchae which was more than enough for my family of 4. The food was savory and the Kim chi dishes were not terribly spicy. My favorite side item was the kimchi potato which was really soft and delicious. Great casual spot!

I ordered the garlic shrimp which I really liked. My wife ordered the pad Thai and thought the tofu was spongy which she was not a fan of. We showed up Friday around 3 and the place had 3 others. Service was quick at first, but seemed like they usually break around that time and had to get up and ask for the check because there was a lot of chatter between the staff.

Outstanding Korean food, especially for the area. Tuk Man Doo Guk was outstanding although it's menu description is quite boring. O Jing Uh Bok Um was very good and I ordered it hot and it came out quite hot. Pork Gal Bee was pretty good, might have been the weakest thing in the meal but it was still very good.

Awesome food! Excellent service! I've lived in South Korea and the food is authentic at this place. They have not changed or thumbed any of the dishes down for our American palate. The servers and the chef make you feel like family. This is a hidden jewel here in Brunswick. It's my family's favorite. The prices may initially seem expensive. However, when you see the amount of food that they give you, you will understand. The plates can easily feed two. I have tried several dishes there, and all of them are really good. Take a chance on this place. I promise you it will not disappoint!

This is the only Korean restaurant in Brunswick. The menu is very quite big. The dishes are authentic. Very good bipinbap.! They do sell beer. The staff are friendly I eat here quite often Certainly can recommend the food Limited seating

I am by no means an expert on Korean cuisine but I know this was awesome and authentic! The service for carry-out was super friendly. This is a small place with very little room inside. The layout seems like it would be challenging for staff but I am thinking the kitchen is optimal because the food was made to absolute perfection. If I were a local, this would be a regular go to for me. We tried two appetizers and two dishes. I wish I could try the rest!

Best Korean restaurant in the southeast region. We'll drive for a hour from Jacksonville, FL just to eat there. Friendly service from the owner. Highly recommend this place.

More expensive than your average Korean restaurant but they use top of the line ingredients and is so authentically Korean! Assortment of sides were all delicious and the jam bong was perfect!

It's a pretty decent restaurant. The food was good but it's not my favorite Korean restaurant. The lady was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND I had the Tuk Man Doo Guk soup with steam rice and Korean veggies on the side. I've eaten Korean food from all over the country and South Korea as well. This was as authentic as it gets. Excellent food and extremely friendly staff. I highly recommend this rare find in Brunswick, Georgia. I will be back on our next visit to the area.

Food was very tasty here. Loved the beef short ribs. Prices are very steep. Went there for lunch and my plate was $30! Aside from the high prices good quality food and great service.

Authentic Korean food, great service, however, very overpriced. They don't serve a lot of side dishes like other Korean restaurants do in other cities. Would give it 5 stars however, it is way too overpriced. Overall, food is great, service is great.

Loved this little nook of a place. It's the real deal. Lived in Korea for 14 years and I know. If you're picky about service and want someone to call you "sweety" or "darling", go to Hardees. Kimchi is fresh daily. Take home a pint. Seoul food for sure!

This little hole in wall restaurant is a treasure of a find!!! The prices may be high for some ($55 for two people), but they are very generous in the amount of food; you'll have enough for seconds maybe thirds!!! The service was excellent! I don't know if it was because our first time there but the waitress cut our meat with scissors because "we don't use knives". She even came back and cut our food a second time. We will definitely return!!!

We stopped in for lunch and I must say I had the best dolt sot bibimbop I've ever had. The other party had an extraordinary soup. For food: 5 stars. The place is not terribly attractive and the prices are a bit high for lunch -- fine for dinner. The service was good. Recommended!

Y'ALLLLLLLLLL, this place has some of THE BEST Korean food that I have EVER HAD! And I mean even better than the places in Houston that I've been too. They are super sweet and the owner always comes out and ask how the food is after its delivered. Their menu is written out how you would pronounce each dish, which I love! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give them a try. You won't regret it!

Freaking amazing tasting Korean food, I've tried multiple things; rice cakes (appetizer), Korean pancake (appetizer), and pork bulgogi. It's all crazy good and I'm guessing pretty authentic. I've never been to Korea lol

Stopped by for dinner on the way home. We were excited to try it out as the reviews are all great. The waitress seen us and instantly said there was no room. Not sure if it was the kids we had or what the issue was for her but there was a huge table that sat at least 12 available we were a party of 7. She didn't say there would be a wait and give us the option to wait she just turned us away.

One of the best Korean places ever!! We stopped by on our way to Florida from NC and it was amazing!! The place was so clean and the staff very friendly. We had bulgogi, yaki mandu and ribs, and everything was well cooked and seasoned. I would come back!

Authentic Korean food. The kimchi is excellent. Not too hot. I got bull go ghee. It was very good. The vegetables are prepared perfectly. The food is cooked by a halmoni and you can taste the love. Thank you for a blessing here in Brunswick.
