The room was very clean and the elevator was fast. The service was kind and was very helpful when we were trying to find alternative parking instead of using the valet. The location is great by being within walking distance to restaurants and things downtown. Room service took a little bit longer than expected but the food was good with having very limited options.

I wasn't in the room much for the visit, I believe it was in town for about 28 hrs. But it was centrally located will plenty of things to do and waiting walking distance to another of Really cool places and things to do. There was a rooftop bar there in the hotel that I found to have some interesting drinks and food I would've like to try. Service was great and accommodating, room was spacious and location was Centrally located, so bring the walking shoes and explore , I'd stay there again , but my Colorado days will be limited. Please enjoy your stay ,I would.

Perfect one night stay! We were able to check in that morning (Sign up for their World of Hyatt program and they can waive early check-in fees). We didn’t try the food at the Apple Blossom restaurant connected to the lobby, but had tasty coffee on our way out of town. I had the iced strawberry shortcake latte. The properly itself was a 15 minute walk from LoDo/Coors Field, so perfect for us. The AC in the room kept things plenty cool, and the room itself was clean and had a nice spacious shower. Be sure to check out the rooftop patio on the 15th Floor!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff is super nice. The location is great. The smoke alarm in my room had a bright blinking light on it that was making it hard for me to sleep. I called down and told them and they nicely came up and put black tape over that light for me. FYI You can hear street noise in the room, (I was on 7th floor) but I always pack earplugs so that noise didn’t keep me up once I put them in. The water pressure in the shower is pretty low, but that’s probably more bc of Denver’s rules rather than the hotel having a choice. And the bed is a little too soft. But the sheets and pillows are super comfortable. Also, the heater/ AC in the room is loud, so I just turned it off and the temperature was still comfortable (it was April). Obviously, you can tell by my post I am bit of a picky sleeper who likes it dark and quiet. I know a lot of people sleep with the TV on, sooo my “issues” are nothing to them. LOL Anyways I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others! There’s a nice outdoor terrace on the 15th floor that I wish I had spent some time on, next time:)

There was an appliance in my room (601) that looked like a mini-fridge. But it was not a mini-fridge. It’s a “cooling drawer for storing wine” and only gets down to 55 degrees. You can’t store food in it. And there is no sign to tell you this, just a mouthful of rancid leftovers the next day. The staff was terrific and let me store some food in their employee fridge the rest of my stay. But why not just have mini-fridges in the rooms? Also the shower pressure was the lowest I’ve encountered in a first world country.

Well-located, short walk from Union Station. ||Appreciate Jake and Jawad at the front desk were excellent and made sure I was given early access to my room at 10 a.m. coming off my flight.||The room itself was very comfortable. Good bed, clean, and hardwood floors. ||Globalist breakfast was delicious and well portioned. Attentive, lovely staff. Green Goddess eggs benedict were great!||The bar (where breakfast is served as well) is polished and perfect for a nightcap, albeit a bit overpriced.

We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver for 1 night in a 1 King Highfloor room and it was fine - your average chain hotel. ||Upsides: feels like a newer property|Nice fitness room - see pics|Nice rooftop patio|Comfortable bed with plenty of outlets / charger plug-ins|Large shower stall||Downsides: our room smelled very strongly of cleaning products and the smell did not dissipate by the following day|Our view was straight into the Residence Inn across the street so not worth paying up for the higher floor|Lacking in charm||Overall it is your average hotel in this price category.

Google
This is a pretty mediocre property all around, and it’s in surprisingly poor shape considering how new it is. I was able to check in a bit early at 3pm, and there was no upgrade prior to arrival, but at check in I was given the best room available then, a high floor room on the 9th floor. My room was in the corner, but the room isn’t any larger. It was nice to not have a neighbor on one side, especially since the soundproofing between rooms is poor. Globalist breakfast vouchers were given at check in, but the restaurant is mediocre at best, despite all the advertising telling you otherwise. There was a little resistance in getting 4pm late checkout and I was initially offered 2pm instead, but with a little more convincing, I was able to get 4pm as I would expect for Globalists. A huge flaw in the room that I only discovered after waking up to see none of my devices charged is that the light switch that controls the light above the headboard also controls the outlets on the right side of the bed. So when I turned off all the lights, I also turned off the outlet on that side. How someone could think that was a good idea, I don’t even know. Housekeeping also never came by, I’m not sure if it’s because I had do not disturb up in the morning and they don’t come back in the afternoon, or if this is one of the properties where you need to explicitly request daily service. One of the elevators was broken and the door wouldn’t stay closed if I was standing inside, the front desk kinda shrugged it off and joked that maybe they should call someone to take a look into it since it’s been behaving weirdly for a while. The only redeeming factor for this hotel was the very low nightly price, but after staying here the low price makes a lot more sense.

Yelp
Stayed here while in town at a work conference. Rooms are nice, small but nice. Bar and restaurant is good and just an overall good experience. I would recommend this place. Food at the restaurant is very good too.

Yelp
Would definitely stay here again, but wouldn't use their valet service. All the parking attendants were very nice, but there's definitely a lack of communication between them. They didn't lose my car exactly, but they often couldn't find it by the time they said they would which was a bit nervous-making! They also didn't mention that the valet lot may fill up, which it did on Sunday night so we had to park at a public garage. It wasn't far and the weather was beautiful so we didn't mind walking, but it was still an odd situation to have the hotel put us in. They did refund us the cost of that garage though, which we really appreciated. ANYWAY- beyond the parking issues, our room was wonderful. Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable beds. Housekeeping staff was attentive and brought us up more towels when we asked. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile. It's a gorgeous modern hotel in a great location downtown near Civic Center Park, with easy highway access.

Yelp
Location is perfect. Hotel is clean. Girls on the front desk not the nicest one. We asked for early check in since we were in a group they said no. We stayed there to wait for a room and she checked some one else before let us that our room is ready. It was a little disrespectful but it's fine. Room is clean. Carpet is only around the bed so bring your sleepers otherwise you will be walking bare feet. Bed was little too soft but we survived two night. Rolling door on the bathroom. Loved the mirror in the bathroom when you enter the bathroom the mirror gets the light and you can see what time is it.

Yelp
So I'm not sure what I expected, but walking up to our room on the top (37th floor), with sprawling views of the entire city, and huge windows certainly swayed me to feel pretty dang good about this place! They asked when I arrived if my fiancé (who shares the name of a somewhat popular celebrity), was indeed that celebrity, so...it it entirely possible that we received a bit of accidental special treatment, so in this review I figured I'd talk about the things I love, and random observations mainly open to all guests. The pool is interior, and although the pool itself is unimpressive, the pool DECK is a fantastic spot to study. There's a executive club room that would serve as a perfect mobile office on one of the higher level floors, but it requires selective access. The gym is legit with plenty of space, modern machines, towels, ear phones, and all that you could expect from a gym. The rooftop/roof view bar delivers on what it promises-decent drinks, and fitting food, accompanied by a fantastic Denver view. I didn't have a chance to visit the restaurant on the 1st floor, but I tried the coffee and snack bar selling sandwiches, and small bites. It's great in a pinch. While the selling point of room itself was certainly the view, the do not disturb button in the room was clutch, and ofcourse the downtown location is pretty clutch as well. Overall, I'd certainly stay here again.

Yelp
I do not remember the gentleman's name that was working Friday Morning when my friend and I checked in however he was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. When we arrived we checked out back and went to go get some breakfast. When we returned we were able to check in which I was very happy about since it was a few hours before the usual check in time. The check-in process was very easy and within 10 minutes we were in our room enjoying everything. I loved the bathroom more than any other room even though all this room was great. The gal that worked nights was really great, kind, helpful and friendly. I believe she has nerves of steel. So many people were upset about the internet and tv service not working and weren't very nice to her but she remained professional. I believe her name was kinara, she was cool as a cucumber even though the guest weren't pleased with the internet and tv not working she tried to be as accommodating as possible. Also the valet team were pleasant, professional, and good at their job especially the female that was there mornings. This stay would have been perfe t had it not have been for the tv, the elevator, and the wifi. Maybe next time, the manager convinced me to give them another shot, only time will tell.

Yelp
The hotel is a new theme within Hyatt. As introduced to me by Sierra as I was welcomed, the Centric hotels are smaller, allowing more attention to visitors, and highlight local culture and sights. For example, at this Colorado location guest rooms have wallpaper that is reminiscent of aspen tree bark and are adorned with a sculpture of an elk. The rooms are also smaller, but make up for relatively less space with clever design, luxurious mattress and bedding, cozy robes, and a rooftop lounge. You won't notice. Aligned with the Centric theme, a restaurant/lounge located on the ground floor (Apple Blossom - reviewed separately) offers locally sourced, seasonally shifting menu items. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner, as well as two daily happy hours are available for guests. No need to explore further for those weary of travel. This is my new "go to" hotel when in Denver. TIP: I was told some rooms face an alley, and if you would like a greater chance of a street view, choose a double room.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay. Roseanne at the front desk has great customer service and does a wonderful job taking care of her guests.

Yelp
Unfortunately not quick to please. Seams like mgmt doesn't trust staff. Decor was nice and room comfortable but lacked natural light and facing wall. Location is just ok for being downtown. For pricing water should be complimentary.

Yelp
The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver is a prime spot to enjoy, explore & and immerse yourself in the city. We had an amazing staycation here over the weekend! We arrived at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver and pulled into their valet area. We were greeted by a gorgeous 'DENVER' wall mural which really set the tone for the Mile High City feel the hotel offers. Once valeted, we headed inside to get checked in. The front desk attendant was inviting and professional - he gave us great information on the hotel & how to get to our room. Our room was on the 15th floor where there was a lovely rooftop terrace, a 24-hour upscale fitness center and 2,530 square feet of flexible event space. We stayed in the Hospitality/Presidential Suite. This Suite was incredible; it spanned 975 square feet and featured floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace. Our room had a dining area complete with wet bar, living area, two 55" flat-screen HDTV, a Hyatt Grand King Bed, two bathroom sinks, digital mirrors, a walk-in shower, a Drybar® Buttercup Blow Dryer & BeeKind® bath amenities. The room was furnished with modern urban décor. The Hyatt Grand King Bed was a plush pillow top from Sealy Posturepedic - we slept wonderfully. Our room's outdoor terrace boasted gorgeous cityscape views & outdoor seating. Talk about truly being immersed in downtown Denver! We couldn't get enough of the terrace - nor could our dog Forbes! We got up early and sat on the terrace in order to watch the sunrise over the city - it was beautiful. The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver is pet friendly so Forbes came along with us! The hotel provided a dog bed, food and water bowls and customized doggy treats for Forbes (SO cute & thoughtful) - all of these items were already in our room waiting for us upon arrival. We love when a hotel cares as much about our furry friends as we do. For dinner we ate at The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver's restaurant, Apple Blossom - it was delicious. We will 100% stay at The Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver in the future.

Yelp
We regularly stay at Hyatt hotels. For us, Hyatt is always a go to! This was our first or second time staying at a Centric and it was very nice. The decorations were great. They always had free snacks at the front desk (i.e., fresh, popcorn, or candy). They were able to change our rooms twice because we did not like the view and they were very accommodating to this with no charge. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. Even at checkout there was a error in my bill and they were able to fix it within minutes without any question. However, if you could avoid parking here that would be a bonus because parking is $56 a night extremely expensive. It would be better to just park on the street or in the garage. The bed was very comfortable, however, it did get hot throughout the night. I don't know what was going on with the AC. Overall great space to stay if you're staying for a couple nights, if you're staying more than a couple nights, I would recommend going in a bigger hotel, these rooms are a bit small.

Yelp
Awful experience. The hotel is clean and modern but the front desk staff is awful. Absolutely no customer service. I only stay at hyatt hotels and will never come back to this one again.

Yelp
This place is new, beautiful, sleek, & clean. It smells very nice when you walk in. Staff provided excellent service. Had a great time at the bar trying out 5 drinks with their funny names. Check out the 15th floor for the patio deck. Beautiful at night w/ a view of Denver's high rise buildings. My room did not have a tub, strictly shower. What I liked, they have toiletries in big bottles versus the tiny travel bottles. Less waste.

Yelp
After some time and reflection, I give this hotel a decent star rating since the services paid for were provided and they were clean, safe, high quality and convenient. I did deal with racist remarks at my time in the general area but the hotel is not in charge of other people's actions.

Tristin G.

Yelp
I believe they re-make the beds and re-fold used towels. My room had two beds. One bed the pillow was upsized down and had a makeup face imprint. The other bed had hair strands on the bed and under the sheets. The first towel I used had a yellow stain. I called the desk and made them aware. They came and changed the sheets and towels. I left the room and came back. The first hand towel that I used had black hair attached to a clump. The bed had fake eyelashes near the top. Overall pretty nasty. The rooms looks clean. But clearly they are not. Very disappointed. Lots of different hair on everything.

Yelp
I forgot a passport (amongst other valuables) in my room's safe and it was never returned to me. Multiple calls with the hotel's staff didn't help. Housekeeping either lost my passport + valuables when they cleaned out my room or took it. Otherwise why would it disappear? This is unacceptable and they should have better processes for important items left by guests. ESPECIALLY IF THE ITEMS WERE LEFT IN THE SAFE BOX! I am happy to remove this review if any of the management at this hotel wants to chat further.

Yelp
COMFORTABLE beds! My #1 priority in a hotel is comfortable bed. I was pleasantly surprised that the bed and pillows were over the top at this Hyatt Centric in downtown Denver. I felt like I was staying in one of those high priced boutique hotels that would never be approved by my expense department. I literally melted into the comfortable mattress, high end sheets and luxurious pillows and was asleep in minutes.

Brandon V.

Yelp
We booked the wrong hotel and Brianna was extremely helpful, she helped us get a room and we didn't miss a beat! Friendly and courteous service!!

Curtis M.

Yelp
Upon finding hotel they had a valet option 69 a night. Other parking down the street somewhere. Small valet area pain when you are trying to check in. Narrow alley hard to get your luggage out of car. Only saw 1 attendant he was trying but it was a cluster f#. Checkin was slow. Room was not bad clean. However had ac set at 65 and room was still warm. Wanted to get a soda, but you have to go to check in - no machines on floor. You guessed it when ppl are checking in the wait is looong. I gave up the Denver chips and soda wasn't worth it. Noticed Uber drivers leaving food at desk and it sat the whole time I was in line cause they can't get up in elevator . Might need to look at adding staff during daytime regular 8-5 work hours. 2 stars was that the room was clean, sink didn't drain welll.

Yelp
Ok, so we were here a year ago (job interview with a municipality-- didn't get) but came Back for the KC Chiefs/Denver game, 12/11 -- again, not disappointed with our stay. We learned from a year ago, not to rent a car as we used valet parking before and never took the car out as we walked everywhere (or Ubered, but mostly walked. We had beautiful weather; although 1 day a bit blustery--but then again, it was December ... Great central location, close to public transit, and plenty of restaurants... Including the Apple Blossom on the main floor of lobby! (I'm still raving over the Maple walnut scones... would they ship to me in KCMO?!) and don't even tempt me with another Snickerdoodle cookie, which is not near my favorite cookie until I had this one - the freshest ingredients - great hint of vanilla. Shared it with my man, (don't tell him, but went down to lobby to supposedly get a soda and I snuck another cookie -- so-darn-good!) Now, for the room, so quiet, great sleep, modern style. Great soaps, lotions, etc (not the cheap stuff!!). One drawback, remember that soda I went to the lobby for... When I snuck the cookie... I wanted ice for it, they only have ice machines on every other floor... But no problem, grab the stairs... Who couldn't do without a few extras ... (remember the cookie ? ;-) And I was on my way! The amenities outstanding ... a hand steamer for my wrinkled packed clothes (no iron, hallelujah!!!) All-in-All, I believe this has become my regular location -- from the very pleasant front desk folks, to room service, Class A accommodations are the norm -- Thanks Hyatt, see you soon!

Luigi C.

Yelp
The worst hotel. Poor service, nice, no food after 9 pm, and not safe. They don't clean your room, we asked for new towels after 4 days here. We have multiple things missing from our room now, and the hotel did nothing to help us. We are reporting this to the police - but be aware and stay away from this crap.

Selena's I.

Yelp
Beautiful new place downtown only a couple blocks from 16th street!! Definitely stop here! Wonderful and friendly staff! Kynara at the front desk will help you with anything possible! Check this place out! The manager Sierra is also an amazing person to work with!

Yelp
Pleasant enough, but certainly not what we've come to expect from the Hyatt brand. There is only one restaurant/bar in this hotel. No room service. And the rooftop terrace only serves food/beverage for special events, which occupy the space much of the time (meaning it is not available to other guests). That one restaurant closes at 10 weekdays and 11 weekends. So a nightcap glass of wine will require walking a few blocks. To recap, nice rooms, but amenities are closer to a motel than a Hyatt. Oh, but at Hyatt prices.

Kristi S.

Yelp
There for a weekend to visit my daughter and I love the Hyatt brand. Once we walked in they had a popcorn machine running near the front desk. Popcorn was allover the ground because they allowed guest to fill there cups. Valet is the only option for parking and it's $59 per night. Room had some maintenance issues. My husband fixed the shower curtain rings that where upside down. Toilet paper installed backwards. Suppose to be a handicap assessable room and it had a tub instead of a roll in shower. That evening we returned to no internet and no TV. They had no idea when it would be restored. My husband had a ZOOM business meeting the next day and this was not a option. We checked out the next morning. Front desk attendant was pleasant and appoligized but still charged us for Valet and room upgrade charge. She commented that she wouldn't charge us the early check out fee. The pink haired coffee attendant was extremely rude. My husband said good morning and was totally ignored. He was the only customer there. I finished checking out and came over and said good morning to the same response NONE from the man with pink hair running the breakfast take out area. Then he looked at me and told me he would be right back. My husband was getting the car from the valet and after 10 minutes we left. No coffee or muffins. I guess PINK hair don't care is there moto. Checked into the Thompson ( Hyatt ) Amazing service and a beautiful hotel. Best view I've had in Denver and they let us check in at 9am even though I booked them at 7am. Never expected that level of service, we just wanted to drop off our bags.

Veronica A.

Yelp
The rooms are so dark. I had to use my phone constantly to light things. It was annoying. The bathroom in the room was very nice. Beds were comfortable, just don't plan to see much in your luggage, purse or around the room because you will be in the dark. Also the trolley runs all day and dings constantly because the stop is right by the hotel- you will be able to hear it in your room all day.
google avatar

Laura T.

Yelp
I am giving this hotel a one star because of the horrible customer service... the front desk people were rude and non responsive... I will never stay there again...

Brian M.

Yelp
DO NOT USE HYATT CENTRIC HOTEL DENVER VALET - My check in was easy and friendly. I chose to pay $100 for valet because I thought my truck would be in safer hands than if I self parked. When my truck was returned to me after my two night stay I found that my GPS, stereo, iPod and back up rearview camera were all stolen. My truck had been left unlocked. I reported this to the valet and was told he would call his manager. He continued to park cars and after a half hour I asked a different valet and he said he would call as well. After another half hour I left because I had an appointment. I made a claim and was told it was denied because they were not liable for anything stolen. I will no longer trust the security at Hyatt Central. I would like to mention the room was very modern, clean and comfortable.

Sarah M.

Yelp
The hotel is comfortable and clean. My boyfriend and I stayed here 5 days and the tv did not work the entire time. When we asked about it we were told it was being fixed, but we later learned the problem existed before we arrived and we were not told about it prior to checking in. After already being there 2 days we were offered a room change IF they had a room available with a working tv. Multiple other guests were complaining about their tvs as well. The hotel also doesn't have its own parking lot given that it is in downtown, so they have valet $49/night. The valet workers did well and were nice, but there was only 1-2 working at a time so it made for delays when picking up and dropping off our keys that were anywhere from 5-30 minutes. There are no microwaves in the room but they do offer communal microwaves on the 2nd floor. The fridge barely fits water bottles. Overall an okay stay but overpriced for the lack of amenities and quality of service.
