Hyatt Centric is located in a prime location central to many attractions yet not in the middle of the typical Bourbon Street chaos. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in the hotel not only due to their security measures but the area overall is well lit with local patrols on the Bourbon St. side, doors that restrict access solely to hotel guests and staff monitoring the premises. The lobby has a bar and cafe with ample seating to enjoy food and beverages, socialize, or work. Overall, the modern decor provides a luxe appeal. Service was impeccable and consistent throughout my stay. The pool is a decent size for the hotel, equipped with loungers and a bar, making it perfect to relax, swim, or socialize. While the pool area could stand an upgrade, it is still a nice area to check out while staying there. I usually disinfect the room before settling in and can attest to the space being fairly clean. I recommend this hotel if you're looking for a room in the French Quarter.

We stayed at the Hyatt Centric New Orleans for two nights and overall had a great experience. The location is ideal—just off Bourbon Street, close to the action but quiet enough for a good night’s rest. The room was small but clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There’s also a nice bar in the lobby, which was a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Valet parking is available, though it’s about $50 per day. The music from the pool area can be a bit loud during the day, but if you’re out sightseeing, it’s hardly noticeable. All in all, a solid choice for convenience, comfort, and Southern hospitality.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric. Everything was amazing. We even had an issue with air conditioning and the front desk sent up a technician right away. We ended up having to move rooms but the technician was so helpful. The room was spacious and comfy. We met the housekeeper and she was very sweet and cleaned our room well. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Location was perfect! Our family gives this hotel 5 stars!

Google
Great room, inviting staff, comfortable stay, and an all around great trip. I wish all hotel stays went this smoothly. Room was clean. Didn’t have a problem with noise. Ideal location in the quarter and all the amazing restaurants. I would definitely book here again for any leisure trip to NOLA.

Well located within 1 block to Bourbon and Canal streets. A little farther to French Market but walkable. Our room had high ceilings and opens to inner courtyard which is great for a bit of fresh air. Staff is helpful when needed. Nice bar in lobby. Valet parking at $50 a night. Would not recommend driving to this area unless absolutely necessary.

Stayed here for a conference & Ms. Verellda at the front desk was the absolute sweetest! Mind you, New Orleans at the end of June is swampy*ss weather & the hotel was buzzing as it was nearly at capacity w/ large groups/conferences--all of which is ripe for a not so pleasant encounter. But Ms. Verellda was as pleasant as ever! I had a king bed room & needed 2 queens last min. She told me they didnt have anything avail at that time but to just swing by the next day to check on it. The next day I checked in & she remembered me! She made magic happen w/ the help of my guy Daniel, who just so happens to have the loveliest accent. Bonus points. :) also, the catering staff was amazing. Food & morning coffee ser up was great. Loved that they had oat milk for us Californians.

Was here for one night. Normally I wouldn't stay in the Quarter but all my work colleagues were there so it was easier. This is a nice hotel that provides a shelter from the insanity outside. As a Discoverist, I got free waters and a free drink coupon that I didn't end up using ||The bed was super comfortable with great pillows. It was a great sleep and you couldn't hear any noise from the crowds outside which was terrific.

Google
We didn't have hot water for our entire 3-night stay. Told the front desk 3 times. Never fixed it. Didn't offer to move us to a different room. As an apology, they gave us late checkout till 2pm... But housekeeping still knocked on the door twice. Room was dirty. A bug crawled out of the shower drain when I was showering. Food was disgusting. The berries on the $10 yogurt parfait were rotten. The $15 egg sandwich was rock hard.

Yelp
Staff is great and extremely helpful! Eric by far was the most memorable of everyone! I'd see him every morning at the door and he was always asking if we needed directions anywhere! Loved his energy. He was super friendly and nice! 5 stars if it was based on the staff only! I have to give it 4 stars mainly because the noise level at night was insane. Granted it was mainly in weekend since everyone is out and about so it's expected. I just figured it would stop around 2-3AM but there were times I'd hear it until almost 5AM! Sunday was the best sleep since it was all calm and quiet. Overall this place was in a great location- (minus the noise level) it's close to touristy things that are very easy to walk! It's clean! Some things are a little outdated like the pool area some of the tiles were wobbly and pool had quite a bit of bugs. But other than that everything else was great! My favorite part is the room we stayed in had high ceilings which made the room feel bigger! As well as their onsite gym was super nice! Overall if you can sleep through some noise this place is great to stay if you are visiting!

Yelp
The Hyatt Centric French Quarter was decorated very nicely and we thoroughly enjoyed the coffee shop, restaurant and bar. It was wonderful that fresh water was provided throughout the day in the comfortable and inviting lobby. The hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating. However, we were placed in a room facing Iberville Street and were completely astounded that any guest would be booked into a room on such an indescribably loud street. We were fully prepared to have loud nights staying in the French Quarter, but the noise coming off of the street was absolutely awful. I described it as trying to sleep in the middle of the dance floor at the loudest club you've ever been to. My husband described it as trying to sleep in the middle of a war zone. The rattling of the windows and shaking of the entire room was horrible. I have a brain tumor and am easily susceptible to migraines. The noise from the music base not only set off unimaginable migraines, but made me sick to my stomach because it was inescapable. We were beyond shocked that any guest, let alone Hyatt members and World of Hyatt credit card holders; people who have chosen to be loyal to one hotel brand, would be booked into such a terrible room. After our second night, we debated whether or not to ask about changing rooms, but we decided we would tough it out as we only had one night left and are ultimately not ones to complain. On our last night we had to wake up at 3:00am to catch a 6:00am flight. Unfortunately, it was on a Saturday night which was the loudest that we experienced. We didn't get even 30 seconds of sleep because the level of noise was unfathomable. I even took the couch pillows and placed them on the bathroom floor, just so I could have somewhere to lay down away from the rattling window facing the street. As you can imagine, not getting any sleep made for a horribly exhausting day of travel. My thought is that no Hyatt employee has ever slept in or even stepped foot inside of this room at night or they would never place a guest here. I have visited New Orleans in the past and stayed on Saint Ann Street, even more in the heart of the French Quarter, and never experienced even a tenth of the noise we experienced at the Hyatt. I have two family members who consistently hold Globalist status each year and have pleaded that they never stay the Hyatt Centric French Quarter because of what we experienced. We have had positive experiences at many other Hyatt and Hyatt partner hotels, however I'm deeply saddened and disappointed to have had this experience. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration when placing guests into this room or any room along Iberville Street in the future.

Yelp
Location reigns supreme at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans, a gem nestled right next to the pulsating heart of the city's famed nightlife. The proximity to Bourbon Street is astoundingly convenient, placing guests at the epicenter of New Orleans' vibrant culture. The hotel radiates a splendid atmosphere, harmoniously blending sleek, modern design with a touch of local charm. This creates an inviting and sophisticated ambiance. The rooms are notably spacious, with my room featuring a generously sized balcony overlooking the tranquil pool area--a serene retreat amidst the urban excitement. Culinary delights await at the hotel. The breakfast is particularly noteworthy, each dish a testament to gastronomic excellence, skillfully combining local flavors with artistic presentation. Equally impressive are the libations at the hotel bar, each meticulously crafted to balance and delight the palate. Perfectly suited for both business and leisure, the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans marries its strategic location with top-tier amenities. Whether visiting for professional engagements or cultural exploration, guests are guaranteed an experience that is both enriching and luxurious. In summary, this hotel is a sterling choice for those seeking a blend of comfort, convenience, and a taste of New Orleans' spirited essence.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel close to all the action literally. My husband and I came to New Orleans for our birthday ( yes, it is on the same day). We wanted to be able to walk to everything, so we chose Hyatt Centric French Quarters. Parking is tight, so we valet parked at the hotel for the duration of our stay. We stayed here for 3 days. The staff was friendly and professional throughout our entire stay. Hyatt has an app to check in upon arrival, so that part was fast, we were done at the front desk within 5 minutes. The hotel was Chic, with lots of beautiful artwork throughout. We had a king bedroom with a shared balcony overlooking Dauphine Street. Our room was spacious, with a modern art deco vibe. The balcony was nice to step out on to see what the weather was like since it rained throughout the day the entire time we were there. No complaints at all. The room was clean and comfortable. We had handcrafted drinks at the very nice bar in the lobby. The amicable bartenders gave us great suggestions on places to visit for live music. This was the best hotel experience I have had in New Orleans thus far. Customer service was exceptional from beginning to end. Hyatt Centric will definitely be my go-to on my next visit.

Yelp
Had a nice stay at Hyatt Centric. Aside from pricing, I also chose the hotel due to its location (specifically due to its close proximity to Acme Oyster House! haha and also maybe bourbon street). I love that they have an area where vehicles can load and unload properly and with shade too. The hotel is pretty much walking distance from our point of interests such as Court of Two Sisters, cafe beignet and du Monde, Royal St, Jackson Square, Acme, Bourbon st, French coffee truck, cafe fleur de lis and so much more! and after all that walk under the summer heat, man was it a life saver to have such a close hotel and be in an air conditioned room! They have a huge pool (which we didnt get to use) and rooms with balcony. Our room was at the opposite side of Acme so it was in a much quieter area at Iberville st. but if you prefer to see some hustle and bustle, it may be best to request one by Bourbon st. Maurice the music often plays live there too and it would be great to hear his music from the balcony. overall we really had a good experience at this hotel. Room was spacious and clean. No issues with with the restroom or with anything for that matter during our stay back in June 2023. Whew!

Yelp
Love the remodeled lobby and bar area. Super inviting. They've made the pool on the second floor a cool atmosphere with what they had to work with. We like being in the heart of the French Quarter I feel terrible for the recent 1-star review folks, but we stayed on the Iberville side of the street as well and slept like mice, and it was booming night on bourbon street but quiet where we were.

Yelp
We visited the Hyatt Centric New Orleans early June for 5 nights. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by Miss Ellie. Being a Globalist I used my suite upgrade and Miss Ellie put us in a huge suite overlooking the pool. The king bed was very comfortable and the robes were a great added touch. Miss Ellie also helped our friend with a huge room and he was able to walk right out of his room to the pool. The hotel lobby and bar has an art deco feel and we did frequent the bar and thanks to Jovan we had great time. Being a Globalist breakfast was included. A shout out to Jarrod for his great service every morning. The location of the hotel is the best and all of our favorite restaurants were within walking distance. We recommend Acme Oyster House, Arnaud's and Mr. B's. We can't wait to return in the near future. Note: Miss Ellie made our trip!

Yelp
If you're planning to spend a lot of time in the French Quarter, it doesn't get any better than the Hyatt Centric! True to its name, the location is close enough to all of the action within walking distance and just minutes away from all the tourist hotspots and restaurants. While only a block away from the famously loud Bourbon Street, there are a variety of rooms you can request for differing noise levels, depending on your preference. I understand the balcony rooms can get loud, which is why we requested a quiet room. The trade off was there was no view as it was an interior room overlooking the conference gathering room, but that was fine with us. The room was spacious enough for two people and cleaned well. And the bed was pretty comfortable alhough the pillows could've been fluffier. Housekeeping did a good job on making sure our room was tidied up and the towels and linens overturned each day. Bathrooms were decent with the water pressure working great, which is important considering the multiple showers we had to take each day after walking around in the NOLA heat and humidity each day. The main lobby is tastefully decorated with plenty of stylish Art Deco elements, including the gorgeous bar which serves amazing cocktails. It's one of the nicer hotel bars I've seen and we're glad we stopped by for drinks. Staff members were all professional and friendly and checking in and out went by without a hitch.

Yelp
Thanks to all who played an integral role in my stay. From the entrance to the exit...it was great!

Yelp
The location was okay, but man it is so loud outside! Cars all hours of the night with loud music and engines roaring. I could barely sleep even with having ear plugs in. The drink menu at the bar was not stellar and not a great selection. I would not stay here again because of the noise.

Yelp
In these post pandemic doldrums of "you're luck I even came in today", it was very pleasant to stay at a hotel where every single person I dealt with seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a great visit. Easily one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. One such example - my status with Hyatt gets me 2:00 check out. Some Hyatt properties act like this is a hardship for them, others give it to me if I ask. Not here, they did not ask me if I wanted it, they asked me 2 pm check out would be ok. Wait a minute, you are not going to ask me if I want late check out, you are just going to give it to me automatically and then ask if I need something later? The whole stay was like that. Bravo!

Yelp
I adore this Hyatt Centric location. My first time staying here back in Feb 2023 was absolutely outstanding! It's close to Bourbon and the layout of the balcony room was gorgeous! I was hesitant to book a balcony off of Bourbon in fear I would hear the noise and be kept up but babbyyy - them glass doors are heavy and do an amazing job of keeping the sound out. Didn't know if it was a one off amazing experience or the love of being in the city so I wanted to wait till my second time before leaving a review. Unfortunately, my second go round of the facility wasn't as nice. I booked yet another balcony room (382) and after our first night, we noticed there was mold in the bathroom. Called down to the front desk to inform them and possibly switch rooms but was met with a "we will give you 500 points" and a message to the manager. Now look - I paid good money to book that room and idk what 500 points will actually do but I would have liked a little more care / conversation when it came to the issue. The second issue I had with this property was that my property was damaged while we were away from the room. I don't care to play the blame game, I just want to be compensated for the honest mistake. Again, called down to the front, was met again with a "we will let our manager know". This time I wanted a report and documentation so I requested for someone to come up to the room to get it filled out. Got it reported and was given a manager contact to get it reimbursed. Ya'll - I reached out in October multiple times and no one has responded back. Cliff notes: Beautiful property, great location, nice clean and spacious rooms (give or take a few) but if you like those things AND good customer service, you may need to make a decision or move along. Would I book again? Sure. Love NOLA. Again - not a fan of how they handled the issues I ran into. I expected better.

Yelp
This is a great place for both families and couples. I've stayed in courtyard view oversized king and pool view king. If you are traveling with young kids I recommend the balcony to have some wine, beer or whatever after they go to bed. We did every night! The service is outstanding always. The place is clean always. We will be back again and again.

Yelp
I am so happy that we chose to stay at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans for a recent trip to the "Big Easy"! (+) Location, location, location. You are literally a 2-3 minute walk to Bourbon Street and the entire French Quarter! You are just paces from an incredible selection of food, drink, shopping, and so much more! This is a very walkable area where you can see, do , and experience so much! (+) Outstanding service from the front desk to the concierge (Tom was fantastic and went way above and beyond to help us get set up with our tours!) to the housekeeping staff to the bellmen everyone was so polite and helpful. Some of the best service I've experienced during our travels. (+) We ended up booking a "Petite Suite", which was pretty spacious at 550 square feet! In addition to either 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed, you have a living room space with a sectional sofa. The rooms facing away from Bourbon Street were very quiet and allowed for a few great nights sleep. I did not have the shared balcony, but I don't think I would be comfortable with a situation like that anyway.lol Actually, I know I wouldn't. (+) I went back and forth between 4 or 5 stars during the course of our stay. What pushed it over the top was what happened on the last morning we were there. We had a late flight and didn't want to be "outdoors" for 8-9 hours before even jumping in the cab to head to the airport. Makes for a long day.. Fortunately, they accommodated a late checkout until 4 pm for $75. now, remember, we're in a suite. Before calling I checked to see what the regular room rate was for that day on the same website that I had booked my reservations through. They were starting at 199.00 for a single King bed room. So to keep our suite until 2 hours before heading to the airport was awesome! We were able to go out, eat, and do some last minute things and then come back to the room for a power nap and a shower before heading back home. Totally worth it! (+) Beds were very comfortable and had 3 pillows on each bed with an extra pillow in the closet. (+) Nice little bar in the hotel lobby. They have some fantastic happy hour specials from 3-6 pm. Draft beers are only $4 for a healthy pour! On my final day I did enjoy the NOLA Blonde IPA draft. The bar and seating areas in the front lobby feel very open and inviting IMO. (+) Rooms were turned over every day. The rooms were cleaned and restocked early and there was never an issue with our room cleanliness. And unlike my last stay in NOLA, the housekeeping weren't banging their carts and chatting loudly at 7 am! This was much appreciated! lol (-) Bathtub is small and standard. If you enjoy a soak, this is not the place for that. Shower/water pressure was fantastic though. (-) Some of the digital channels were spotty on TV. It wouldn't have been so annoying if it didn't just randomly happen on a few of the channels I was actually watching while in the room. This was an outstanding stay that exceeded all of my expectations! If my travels bring me back to New Orleans one day, this will be the first place I look to book my stay! 5 stars!

Yelp
If you're looking to stay in the heart of the French Quarter, this place is a great choice. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful in directing me to their valet, especially with all the road closures due to construction. Our hotel room had stunning high ceilings and tasteful decor, and we enjoyed spending time in the comfortable lounge and bar area. While I didn't dine at the restaurant, I did have a few drinks at the bar and was impressed with the excellent service. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again for my next trip to Louisiana's French Quarter.

Yelp
A little run down but overall it was a great stay. Location is superb! Close to everything and within walking distance. Didn't eat or having any drinks here. Our room was nice and big. Plenty of room to move around. Interior can definitely use some updating. Curtains did not work all that well, the shower curtain kept sliding down and the carpet... well we had to call for some slippers.

Yelp
The names says it: Centric! You will be in the center of New Orleans and in a safe place. Just around the corner is Bourbon Street! Walking distance to many of the icon places like ACME which is known for the Cajun Seafood! I didn't rent a car in NOLA. Parking can be expensive in town and if you are staying at a hotel here there is an extra free per night to park your car at a safe place. Hyatt Centric is close to everything! Walking distance to where you need to go! Staff are very friendly! If you sign up for the rewards, you might just find yourself to be Globalist and get fun perks. For my stay, I was able to use a Suite Upgrade. Paid for a standard 2 queens and got upgraded to a Petite Suite with 2 queens facing the courtyard with the pool. This room was quiet with high ceilings! Share balcony. Living space with a couch and mini fridge. The couch was red velvet! No microwave at this property. The room was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Another Globalist perk was free breakfast! That saved alot of money and their breakfast was really good. I had their crawfish omelette, crab benedict, duch hash, and their beignets. They do not have the best coffee. It does get very acidic. However they have great hot chocolate and other drinks to enjoy. I got complimentary bottle of wine! And the bar also has happy hour! The was decent and really nice. A break from a loud bar from Bourbon. The paintings here do give a little feel of being haunted. Ha! What's NOLA without any ghost! Our bathroom has a picture of a female with roses no face in water. It looks the famous lady that drown in Hamlet; Lady Ophelia. And the painting that greets you on the 3rd floor are hot sexy Voodoo style paintings. There is a business center with two computers and printer to use. You need a hotel key! The hotel has character! The drive way is a brick. A lot of staff making sure to greet you and welcome you. I really enjoyed my stay here. Same staff and they all were very friendly and pleasant. The ice maker on the 3rd floor was broken, but they do deliver ice to your room which is really nice! Easy check in. Easy check in! Rewards for this hotel is nice! Highly recommend their credit card too!

Yelp
If the French Quarters is where you're hoping to stay, this is a great spot. You're steps away from Bourbon St, and very close to anywhere in French Quarters, and a short distance walk to the boardwalk and the central business district. The staff were all super friendly, Tracy (I believe her name was) at the front desk was super helpful and nice. The rooms were comfortable and the valet staff were great too. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you're hoping to stay in the French Quarters!

Yelp
Located in the heart of French Quarters. A very nice overnight stay I had at this Hyatt Centric. Spacious was my room. Breathable clean air. Good lighting. Plenty of charging outlets. Feather free bed ready for visit. Functional yet cramped was the bathroom. Liking the feel of their almost completed renovation; walking proximity even up to Frenchmen St; along with their welcoming and accommodating staff; this is a hotel I'll gladly stay at; "let the good times roll". CHEERS!

Yelp
Still a great hotel and one of my favorites in the city! I did a mini staycation on NYE '22. There has been a super nice renovation at the Hyatt Centric in the Quarters. The lobby + restaurants have been renovated. The rooms have all new furniture. I typically get the second floor Bourbon street balcony when I stay. This time I ended up getting a balcony facing the courtyard, much more quiet during Bourbon on NYE. Service is always A1, rooms + amenities are always great and comfy. I would still recommend this hotel. Close to all things in the Quarters and on Canal.

Yelp
Loved our stay at this hotel! All of the staff was nice and the location was pretty amazing! It was a quiet area, but still really close to Bourbon street, local eateries and shopping. The rooms are spacious and the lobby is beautiful. We will definitely be back when we head to NOLA again!

Yelp
Stayed here on 2/4-6/2022. We were upgraded to a balcony room overlooking Bourbon Street which was really cool! If you don't like noise, don't book these rooms because although there isn't light pollution, you can hear street music and people yelling all day long. Okay so this hotel is under a major renovation so the only entrance is through their restaurant on the side, Powdered Sugar. Be aware because your ride share may try to drop you off where the doors are boarded up. Just map to Powdered Sugar at Hyatt Centric to get to the actual side with the check in desk. Our room was nice although I noticed the fitted sheet and pillowcases had holes in them. I'm not sure if they were burns or moth holes, but they were instantly noticable when I turned back the comforter. Why didn't they just toss these sheets? (!!!) We had a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street but you should know that it isn't a private balcony. The balcony was shared with both rooms next to us, even though only one room had the door between that could be unlocked if you bought both rooms. The balcony is completely shared and there is no way to block off your portion of the balcony - your neighbors can walk the full thing. That might be an issue if there is a parade or the room next to you is partying - they may get the choice balcony spot that is in front of your balcony door. It also feels like a bit of a security risk. In general I liked our room. The tub faucet looked like it was coming away from the wall and the TV was having a lot of trouble working the first day. Also the fire alarm went off and each room was equipped with an intercom where staff were telling us to evacuate on Sunday morning. I was frantically getting dressed when they came over the intercom and said it was a false alarm. Yikes. I know this sounds like a bad review, but our stay wasn't actually bad.

Yelp
This hotel is right in the middle of it all. It's clean, and it's attractive. The price is reasonable as well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Half way through our stay, a bug got in our room and they quickly upgraded us (room that lead right to the pool) which we greatly appreciated. The restaurant food was so good. And room service was great too! It's connected to The Hard Rock Cafe and the Red Fish Grill. Keep in mind that it is right on Bourbon Street and all the action and music often takes place right in front of the Hard Rock Cafe so forget about sleep. But you don't come here to sleep! We where very pleased with our stay.

Yelp
The entire staff from valet to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful. I don't usually write reviews, but what I saw last night deserves attention. I was at the hotel bar in the lobby having a couple with my partner, decompressing from Bourbon st. There was a manager there harrassing the bar staff. When I'm sitting at a bar this is the last thing I want to see. I'm on a short vacay. We had been in conversation with the bar about highlights of the city. Everytime we started to talk the manager would come and interrupt. I asked the bartender why does she keep at you. Then, a short time later, the manager comes to us to confront me about what I had said! I forgot I was in the big easy and thought I was in SEA again. Very bad behaviour for a Hyatt.

Yelp
This hotel is very outdated. At least our room was. Booked two rooms and 1 was somewhat ok but our room was not good at all. You would think we were at like a motel 6 or something. When we checked in the front desk girl was moody and rude like we were bothering her. We asked if she recommended a place to eat and she seemed very bothered and just told us there's plenty of restaurants within walking distance... next we go to our room. Tub was dirty there was hair. The bathroom floors were pretty gross too. I had sanitizing wipes with me so I wiped everything down and cleaned it myself. The toilet was wobbly and there was mold on the bottom... I was using the toilet when I felt something tickle my foot and it was a roach!!! Also the tub drained so slow. The carpet had a lot of hard spots.. I think y'all know what that means beds were comfortable but everything else was just so run down and for paying as much as we did it was not worth the price!

Yelp
I visited Hyatt Centric in July. The staff was friendly, hotel was clean and welcoming. Rooms were exceptional and big! I love that they offered everything from shampoo, conditioner, and q-tips. The hotel is located in a good area near Bourbon Street and some fine restaurants! Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about visiting.

Yelp
With the exception of the resort/destination fee, which was not disclosed when I pre-paid for my room, it was a nice hotel. Imagine my surprise when I checked out to get a $24 per night charge when I thought I had pre-paid for the room. They refused to remove the charge and let me know it was for the coupons for some tours, a free dessert with the purchase of an entrée and the water station in the lobby.

Yelp
Booked two rooms June 2021. One for me and one for my mom. I booked a King with a balcony. My mom didn't care about having a balcony, so just booked a King. Location: right at the "front" or "start" of bourbon street. It is off bourbon enough to not be right on it, but enough so that you will still get riff raft. I could hear street performers off my balcony. There is a Walgreens at the corner that is easy enough to walk to and a lot of close restaurants. Rooms: Bed was decent, not too hard not too soft. Room had a fridge that worked good enough to keep my drinks cool. Balcony connected with another room, but I never ran into anyone. Balcony's overlook the pool which is a square overlook to the pool. Water pressure:heat was good. They had a great blow dryer. A professional one vs standard crappy hotel blow dryers. My mom did not like that her room did not have a bathtub like mine and requested to be changed. She got changed on the 3rd day and her room was facing the outside street vs the pool and was up all night due to noise. Amenities: Did not use the gym. Pool was very nice to swim. It has a shallow area and deep end. My mom said the ladder was very hard for her to get in and out of. No stairs to get in the pool, only a ladder. Lots of chairs to lounge and pretty plants. Hotel restaurant open for breakfast and lunch and was amazing. Room service for us was offered on the 4th day. Parking fees were atrocious, so we took an Uber vs getting a rental.

Yelp
Had a great stay here while enjoying the lovely city of New Orleans. All the staff were helpful and friendly, and we wanted to give a special thanks to the male Mandarin speaking front desk representative who went out of their way to ensure our needs were taken care of. I'm sorry we didn't catch your name but appreciated your time and help!

Yelp
This spot is located in the heart if the French Quarter. We stayed for five nights and were impressed with how close it is to everything. Canal Street is riddled with questionable activity, so I suggest coming/going from the side entrance on Iberville Street. The rooms were nice and the beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean and well stocked. They had a large lounge sofa with a door that opened to the pool area, which was convenient. The pool are was nice and there was a bar- I wish there was a jacuzzi to relax at night after all the walking, but hey, the pool worked. There was also a bar area in the lobby, which looked nice and was poppin on some nights, but we did not go. The most impressive part was how clean the rooms were. The Housekeeping staff need a raise because they did an excellent job keeping the beds and bathroom stocked and clean. The only part that I struggle with is the price. We booked through Hyatt and seems as though we paid the premium price. This was not a huge deal but we were not informed that the hotel was under construction and half the downstairs area was not usable and loud. I fully understand that renovations happen, but I feel like 1) we should have been informed 2) they would have had that reflect in the price. But other than that, no complaints at all.

Yelp
The bartenders could not speak English. It was an absolutely terrible experience. My people were not happy.

Yelp
We visited this location in February for a long weekend trip. The location is amazing! It is one block off Bourbon Street and we were able to walk to so many places. This was incredibly helpful when parades closed down many roads close to us. During our visit most of the common spaces were not available which was disappointing. Check in was located in the restaurant which was very small. The room itself was nice. After reading multiple reviews we came prepared with a noise machine as I expected it to be loud. Our room faced the courtyard and with the noise machine we were fine. Friends of ours had a room facing the street and did not sleep well due to the noise. In our opinion the location is the #1 benefit for staying here.

Yelp
Location WW great but lots of construction going on and lots of people working there who enjoy chit-chatting about their person stuff in front of the guests. We called down 4 Separate times with no answer and when we got to the lobby, several Workers were there just "shooting the sh*t" like we were disturbing "them" !!! First time I'd stayed at a Hyatt in a Long time.

Yelp
The location is great! The rooms with a balcony are a must in the French Quarters! The night life is hopping 24/7! As for the hotel and staff, the standard is set low. The restaurant and coffee shop are way overpriced and the service is more like they are doing you a favor. When booking your stay, there is no guarantee that they will get your reservation right. The customer service and hospitality is not about the customer but about their bottom line. They have lost sight of the BIGGER picture. The managers operate this location as if it is a franchise business. They are part of the HYATT family. Their motto: "WE care FOR PEOPLE SO THEY CAN BE THEIR best." The people that they are referring to is their own staff and their bottom line. The people does not refer to the traveler!

Yelp
Business trip. 3 night stay. - Location (5/5) Amazing location right in the thick of things. - Service (2/5) While reasonably polite, most of the people at the front desk seemed indifferent to concerns. For instance, when I was there, the fitness center was closed for remodeling, but this was not mentioned on the website or at check-in. Also, remodeling was happening in the room next door- they started work early in the morning. - Room (4/5) Quiet and spacious, but I thought I had gotten a balcony that overlooked Bourbon. Instead, I was assigned a balcony that overlooked the rather unremarkable pool area. Also, it's interesting that the balcony was shared with the room next door. - Bathroom (4/5) Pretty nice bathroom with decent water pressure. - WIFI (5/5) Very fast and easy to connect. - Heat/Air (4/5) Steady. Reasonably quiet. - Breakfast (2/5) $15 Globalist credit. Paltry credit, with expensive menu items to boot. The food itself was decent on most days, though the yogurt parfait tasted like it had been made two days prior with super soggy granola. - Fitness Center (N/A) As mentioned above, not available for duration of stay. - Value (3/5) Might have been a decent choice, but the service is a downer.

Yelp
I'm here now and this place is a dump - for the most part. I'm a Hyatt globalist. The balcony rooms are shared with the room next door. We have a bunch of hammered drunk bachelorette girls screaming on our balcony. Our TV and refrigerator electricity was out. The floors creak so loud. The hotel is so outdated, it's sad. I've stayed at at least 30 different Hyatt properties - this is for sure top three worst Hyatt's out there. They also messed up my reservation, I triple confirmed my suite stay - even with my Hyatt concierge - but they can't find it or honor it here. I'm stuck with drunk girls screaming on my balcony. They could open my sliding door if it wasn't locked. It's uncomfortable, outdated and pathetic. I'm so mad I'm staying here! Especially as a super loyal Globalist :-(

Yelp
Best eggs and bacon I have had at hotel in a long time. They are DEFINITELY not the powdered ones I am used to having. Bacon was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Not happy with this hotel at all. Unfortunately I came around Jazz fest time which my bday weekend. So the hospitality industry in New Orleans decided to try to recoup some of their pandemic losses and double and sometimes triple the regular price of the rooms for when these festivals come through. So needless to say, for only four nights we spent over 1200 for this hotel. I called several times to make sure the room was reserved and they had down my request which I did request a room away from Bourbon Street. I did request all that. It was a birthday celebration and I seen previously with someone posted that they was given a little gift bag and appreciation. Mind do we spent over $1,000 to stay here? Get here and I did not get the room I requested. I was told I was an upgrade and these jerks give me a room with no windows call and get the quiet room or the quiet suites. So you got a window but the window was into the hallway. If you wanted to know what was going on outside, why is the weather or to get some sunlight. You can forget it in these rooms. When I inquired about it I was told everything was sold out. There's no mention that they are rooms and this hotel which does not have a view and feel like a jail cell. I had never been so obsessed in my life about housing and I picked this hotel cuz it said it was a four star close to Bourbon Street. Had a hotel had a pool. It fit all of my classifications. Unfortunately it is located in the fridge quarter. Rich reeks like puke like old basement like sewer. I don't know what it's a stench and it's all the way into the hotel. They charge for absolutely anything they can besides the window issue. The room was okay. The room was okay. It was a nice size. The bathroom was a nice size TV on the wall account but not putting somewhere on the description that you're getting a hotel room with no outside view and you feel like you're in a dungeon. It's not cool with me. I will never stay at this hotel again. I will be putting this review on every social media outlet. They are playing games and not the closing these type of rooms. They have bottles of water labeled free if you are some type of Hilton member. If not, I think the bottles are water are $5. One thing that I did like about the room it had a walk-in closet but again and I was scared to death because I have read previous reviews and TripAdvisor that they saw roaches. Now I did not. I was so happy that I did not, but every request that I made was deny. And it was the on staff manager African American very short hair that worked overnight

Yelp
The motel 6 of the french quarter... Stressful environment, Rude and overbearing lower management. Do not recommend...

Yelp
The lobby and location is the best part of this hotel. When we first arrived my 7,8 and 11 year old went to the pool. We changed in the pool restroom and their was weed wrapper remenents in the toilet, small black hairs in the sink and the trash was full. The pool tiles on the deck were moving as you walked and the pool bar was closed on a weekend day. They have a beautiful courtyard but the key cards don't work to enter or exit from. When we got into our room the floors squeaked, the shower didn't work or have any pressure and the hair dryer was broken. When I called to ask for a nicer room they said they didnt have anything available. I did receive a hair dryer WAHOO! Definitely a great location and hotel if you are only going to sit in the lobby.

Yelp
Great central location. Nice hotel good customer service too. Ate at the cafe in the lobby a couple times-they have good cafe au lait. I had a small issue with our room service but it was fixed as soon as I asked. The room was nice and clean and the bed and linens were comfy. I would stay here again

Yelp
I cannot rave enough about the staff at Hyatt Centric! Everyone had such a helpful, friendly attitude and made us feel so welcomed. Considering it was first week of Mardi Gras, it was even more impressive to me how great they were. We had a junior suite and it was perfect! With 3 of us we made the room with the table our staging and pre-gaming area. Will definitely return to the Hyatt!

Yelp
I stay here pretty often as I travel to New Orleans two to three times a month. Usually on one of my stays includes the Hyatt centric. I always enjoy staying here. It's clean and the staff is very professional. Because of Covid there are a lot less people traveling and many businesses are having staffing issues - I don't see a lot of that going on here. They always do a wonderful job and one of these days I'm going to have time to use that pool lol.

Yelp
We had a quick overnight stay here. The service was good, and the location is right in the French Quarter. Apparently they have just had renovated and everything was in order for us. We met family and went to dinner. I was pleasantly suprised at how quite the room was, since we were a block from Bourbon St. We really weren't in the room that long, but the bed was comfy and the shower was hot!

Yelp
Stayed here for a long weekend and was very pleased. Close walking distance to Bourbon st. and easy access to the bus and trolleys. Everyone was very nice and housekeeping was on point. Towels stocked and bathroom cleaned. Noe lets talk about the restaurant in the lobby. The staff at the restaurant were wonderful, what great teamwork. Zeisha was amazing. She is the true definition of southern hospitality. Her kindness and big smile are what everyone needs to start their day. Our breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend you start your day off there. Like everything, there is always something that can be better. I would have to say that is the loose tiles and ladders in the pool area. Besides that, the pool was refreshing and what we needed after walking all over the city. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Meh. Good location. Initial impression is good when you walk in. Had beer tubs next to check in desk. Staff was friendly for the 5 minutes I interacted with them. Had a balcony room - you share the balcony with the room next to you. No biggie. Coffee maker didn't work. Bed sheets had stains on them, had to call to get new ones, that they plopped inside our door. Room was a bit run down, and def could use some upgrading We were there from Tuesday - Saturday, (for New Year's Eve) they don't clean rooms unless you ask assuming due to COVID. Nothing special or really nice about the room. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Shower took forever to get hot. Pressure wasn't good at all. Biggest complaint is there are NO garbage cans anywhere around the lobby to throw anything out. If you get food and bring back to the room you have to leave the trash in the hallway outside your door, which I find disgusting. Garbage cans in room are TINY and there aren't any in the lobby - weird???? Not by the elevators, nothing? Hand Sanitizing stations yes garbage cans, no. Couldn't even fit something bigger than a hand wipe in the garbage in the lobby bathroom. So very odd. Overall the place was just ok.

Yelp
What I really liked about the Hyatt French Quarter was that the staff were very attentive more so in than at some of the competitor hotels. For example, I hold globalist status and rather than begging for a room upgrade it was ready before I even arrived. I had to do nothing. This is the type of service that keeps people coming back. The upgraded room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is well located and particularly close to Bourbon street. Nice accommodations.

Yelp
Terrific location! Right in the heart of the French Quarter. Rooms were clean and attended to daily. Definitely catch Tom, the concierge, when he is available. He recommended a few outings/restaurants and was spot on. My only complaint is that throughout our 4 day stay (which was over a weekend) the pool bar was never staffed nor open, despite the advertisements of "Chuck's famous daiquiris" everyday 3-7 throughout the hotel. That sure would've been refreshing !!

Yelp
We arrived last night for a 5 night stay to find: Lights & TV on in our room. No water glasses in the room. (2 paper coffee cups, though). Called down to front desk and they said "We don't supply those due to Covid""." WHATT??? I have stayed 20+ nights in 10+ hotels across the country since hotels began re-opening in summer of 2020, and I've never heard that one before. They offered to send some up. (So how is that safer?) Morning #1. No room service menu in the room. Tried the TV - nothing about dining there, at all. So I pushed the "In-Room Dining" button on the room phone and it went to a full voicemail box. Called front desk; they tried to connect me and couldn't. Got dressed, went to lobby restaurant. One young woman was working, and she's apparently new. A manager appeared to help her, and she gave me a menu. Prices reasonable for dine-in, but for "food-in-a-box" maybe a bit high. (There is apparently no traditional Room Service, but there might be "delivery" of "food-in-a-box". But I couldn't get that to happen today.) We'll see if things improve...
