LA’s Biggest Craft Beer Festival Is Coming to Long Beach This Summer | Eater LA

"Following successful union negotiations, workers at Long Beach’s Hyatt Centric — including housekeepers, cooks, front desk staff, stewards, and others — will now be paid between $22 and $25 per hour for non-tipped positions, as reported by the Long Beach Post." - Mona Holmes

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! It’s clean, quiet, and has a really charming nautical theme with beautiful deep blue tones throughout. The atmosphere feels relaxing and upscale without being stuffy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the beds were super comfortable — I slept great every night. The location couldn’t be better — you can easily walk to shops, restaurants, the beach, and even the Queen Mary. Overall, a great stay and I’d absolutely come back again!

I stayed for one night and checked in on the app before arriving. I parked at the parking Pike parking garage right next to the hotel ($16/night). As soon as I arrived I was greeted by an attentive man at the front desk. I got my room key, headed up to my room, which was clean and quiet. The rain shower was amazing and had great water pressure. Bed and pillows were also very comfortable!

I love the decor, the rooms are modern and well laid out. Lobby areas nice. Walkable to shops and food. Onsite restaurant very good. Only downside was literally no view except parking structures

We had a great 2 night trip. Rooms were spacious & updated. Very clean. All employees were professional & friendly. Would definitely come back here. Parking was less than most hotels because it is in the adjacent Pike parking garage, which was fine, no issues at all.

We stayed here for a friend’s wedding this weekend and had such a great experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient for everything we needed. It made the whole weekend even more enjoyable—highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

We stayed at the Hyatt Centric at The Pike in Long Beach and were disappointed with several things.|1. Lighting: The lighting in the room is terrible. There are only bright lights near the beds—no dimmer options. Worst of all, you have to actually get out of bed to turn the lights on or off.|2. TV placement: The large wall-mounted TV is positioned so awkwardly that you run into it with your head a lot.|3. No microwave: Surprising for a hotel in this price range.|4. Heating and cooling: The vent blows air directly over the bed, whether it’s hot or cold—very uncomfortable for sleeping and sinuses.|5. Bathroom ventilation: The bathroom fan is not adequate and doesn’t clear odors well.|6. Food options: The downstairs food area wasn’t good. In fact it was bad and overpriced.|7. Rooftop bar & pool: Cool atmosphere, but the drinks weren’t great—and cost $45 for two.|8. The best thing about this hotel is the bed and pillows—like absolute heaven. Extremely comfortable.|9. The aesthetics and décor are also beautiful and give a luxe vibe.|10. f you want a good breakfast, order delivery from The Breakfast Bar down the road through Uber Eats—it was excellent.||Overall, the hotel has style, but all the little issues add up. One and done for me.

My husband and I did a staycation here not knowing it was the weekend of Cali Vibes. The parking was much more expensive which we couldn't get away from because the hotel does not have their own parking area. You have to park in the parking structure across the way. We had a great view of the Queen Mary. However the bed was HORRIBLE. We felt the head of the bed was way too low. We couldn't even sleep in it. We tossed and turned all night. Luckily we only stayed 1 night. Overall, it was alright and probably a one time stay.

Really nice clean and stylish hotel in a great location. Very comfortable stay except for a couple of minor issues that could be easily fixed. The biggest problem for me was that despite having a nice desk to work at, the only available seating for that desk was a very soft ottoman, more like a cushion than a chair, and very uncomfortable to work on. The other problem was noise. The ac was much too loud to use, but that wasn’t a problem to turn off, it wasn’t warm. Also, either the doors need sealing better, or the walls are too thin, there seemed to be quite a bit of noise coming in from the corridor and from an adjacent room. If you’re a heavy sleeper it shouldn’t be a problem, but in my jet lagged state I got easily woken up a couple of times stupidly early in the morning.
