Hyatt Centric Wall Street New York

This is another example of a hotel ruined by COVID. Prior to COVID this property was operated under the Andaz name (also a Hyatt brand) as a luxury hotel. The rooms are very nice with the echo of luxury touches and amenities. Ultimately, post-COVID, Hyat rebranded this location as a Hyatt Centric and removed all the luxury amenities like the mini-bar, like room service, like bathroom products, cups and glasses made of actual glass rather than the paper cups they have now. So, as a guest you end up with this weird vibe of mid-level Hyatt service and amenities with luxury style rooms. The location is great if you need to be in lower Manhattan but less convenient if you think you will find yourself more in midtown for either business or pleasure. Perhaps I’m being a bit critical because ultimately my experience was very good. It was not my first time staying at this Hyatt centric and I’m sure it won’t be my last.

Rooms are nice, amazing and spacious. Some things to be aware of: 1. AC or Heat.. you dont get an option. Older building and they flip to heat in November. 2. No room service... despite the room phone saying "in room dining" 3. Rooftop is permanently closed and no longer accessible, however Hyatt website says its available.

Hotel was much nicer than expected. Raymond at the front desk was awesome. The room and bathroom were much larger and cleaner than expected. The shower is huge and has a powerful rainfall shower head which we loved. Also loved that the blinds were button controlled. ||||We will definitely stay here again when we return to NYC. Great location for being close to seaport and the piers. Loved having a bluebottle coffee shop down the street as well.

I had a great experience at the Hyatt Centric Wall Street — and even more exceptional service. I felt so very taken care of and everyone was so kind. Cassie at the front desk was a gem (she was so lovely) and Mamou one of the cleaning staff took such pride in the property. She remembered my name and thanked me for staying there. I’m changing a future hotel stay next month to this property I enjoyed it so much.

I enjoyed my stay a lot here. The rooms are very luxurious and clean, and the food and drinks from the minibar were very delicious. My room had an awesome view. It is also surprisingly calm and quiet at night, considering that usually the "heartbeat" of New York is heard all the time.

Our overall stay at Hyatt Centric Wall Street had both highlights and disappointments.||||On the positive side, the room itself was in excellent condition — modern, comfortable, and very well maintained. Housekeeping deserves a special mention: they were prompt, attentive, and managed to keep everything spotless while still giving us the privacy we needed.||||However, there were a few issues that stood out. Inside the shower, there was a musty, mold-like smell, similar to damp clothes left overnight in a washer. The handheld showerhead also had a small leak — not major, but noticeable. The bathroom amenities were quite limited for a family of four; it would be great if the hotel switched to larger, wall-mounted dispensers like many other Hyatts do to ensure guests don’t run out mid-stay.||||The more disappointing part of our experience involved a DoorDash delivery. Our food arrived around 12:30 a.m. and was left inside the hotel lobby in two bags, as confirmed by the delivery photo. When we went to pick it up the next morning around 8 a.m., only one bag was there. Despite showing the photo to the front desk, staff didn’t take the matter seriously — they simply asked whether someone might have thrown it away, without investigating further. For a property of this caliber, we expected a more proactive response and better care for deliveries left in their custody.||||In summary, the stay was comfortable and the room itself was excellent, but the hotel could significantly improve its responsiveness, guest support, and bathroom amenities. With a bit more attention to detail and accountability, it could easily live up to the Hyatt brand standard.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay in June this year. The rooms were spacious, clean, and overall welcoming. Some family members stayed at a nearby hotel, and our rooms were twice the size of theirs. We were traveling with a toddler, and despite the location, the room was quiet. I would definitely book again if I return to town.

The service was very friendly and accommodating. We're grateful for their abundant bottles of "welcome water." Room perks include a blackout shade, mini cooler for drinks, adjustable lighting switches, big TV etc. The noise level is pretty low here. The bed was pretty hard. Don't be silly like me and get fooled into thinking their wall and water breakfast buffet is complimentary. It was $20 each but honestly a great buffet with hot and cold options. They just need to make it more clear that it's not free because I didn't see that anywhere.

I stay within the Hyatt family and my choices were between Hyatt Centric and the Gild for our preferred location. I went with Hyatt Centric since there didn't seem to be 4 person rooms available at the Gild at the time I booked, and Centric had reasonable pricing. Hyatt Centric is in a great location in the Financial District. The closest subway entrance is for lines 2 and 3, which is just a few minutes walk away. It's very easy to find. Calling Ubers wasn't a pain. My party arrived around 9am after a red eye and luckily, a 2-bed room was already ready. The rooms are very spacious-- enough to accommodate 4 luggages without feeling too cramped. At first, it smelled like fresh paint but it went away after turning on the air. The double beds were comfortable. There were only 2 pillows per bed and they were so flat, I had to fold them to make it more comfortable. There were 2 free water bottles ready in the room. I appreciated the mini fridge, the iron/ironing board already available, the blackout curtain options and importantly, the sliding full body mirror by the closet. There were no coffees/teas. WiFi was decent. Expect to hear construction and traffic noise early in the morning-- this is not the hotel's fault, just an NYC thing so bring ear plugs if that bothers you. The bathroom was spacious also, but it could've used a couple more towel hooks outside the shower (the towel rack is inside the shower, under where the toiletries go so the towels would've gotten wet if we left them in). It also could've used an extra shelf under the sink to put toiletries on. The sliding door to the bathroom doesn't close all the way (it wasn't broken, it seemed like it was just the way it's built) and there was no noise control at all. I found it weird that the wall that's shared between the bedroom and the bathroom has this translucent glass, so you can see the silhouette of someone showering. Otherwise, I appreciated the little amenities available like shower caps. The fitness room was located in the bottom floor. I took a quick glance at it and it seemed cleaned. There were multiple cardio machines and a separate weight room with dumbbells. On the same floor, the bathrooms for men and women required a key card to get in and they were always clean. There's no pool at this hotel and I'm unsure about the spa services. There were 2 restaurants called Wall and Water and Centric Bar and Grill. I didn't get to check them out since we were mostly out and about. I received great service from the front desk to the housekeepers during my 5 day stay here. Every time I requested for something over the phone (mending kit, more towels, etc) it would be delivered within 15 minutes. This hotel is not for those looking for a 5-star accommodation. This is for those looking for a convenient location that's close to many establishments. Overall, I'd stay in this hotel again for the convenient location and the spacious rooms!

Comfortable and spacious room in Wall Street/Fidi neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and room has a great layout. Down sides were that you can hear cars from the street level and the plumbing in our room's bathroom had leaky faucets. Check in was easy, close walks to various subway lines and Fearless Girl, Charging Bull and the seaport.

I spent two nights at the Hyatt Centric on Wall Street, courtesy of the National Book Foundation. The hotel was right around the corner from the Cipriani, where I got to attend the National Book Awards, and I appreciated that I could walk there with heels and no jacket on a November night in New York. I liked the hotel for other reasons, too (especially since I wasn't the one paying). The woman at reception was friendly, even as she told me my room wasn't ready after I came in off my red eye. She offered me a room with two twin beds if I really needed the early check-in, but I declined in favor of washing up and changing my clothes in the downstairs bathroom. This wasn't especially pleasant (the bathroom could've used a piece of furniture, where a weary traveler might set down a coat or a backpack without having to hang everything in a stall), but afterward, I went up to the lounge, which was quite comfortable. I got a text from reception at a reasonable time, and was able to go to my room for a few minutes before lunch. The Hyatt Centric is a downgraded Andaz, and it was both nicer and more dysfunctional than expected. The decor was attractive, and everything looked good, at least at first glance. Our room was spacious, especially by New York standards, and the bed was comfortable. It was clear, though, that the hotel was downgraded instead of getting an expensive renovation. We had a weird empty drawer, which is where the complimentary snacks would have gone in the Andaz days. More saliently, the shower door didn't close all the way, running aground on the stone floor with an unpleasant crunch. Worse still, the hot water was temperamental. My husband and I both took cold or lukewarm showers. If you want a hot one, your best bet is to take one early in the day. Otherwise, though, we enjoyed our stay and thought it worked well for our purposes. I'd recommend the Hyatt Centric if you're looking for a hotel on Wall Street. The shower might not be 100%, but hey, this isn't an Andaz.

I stayed here when it was getting colder in New York. Everything was going perfectly until (I was told) another guest complained it was too cold in her room. Apparently the hotel uses a uniform heating system that doesn't allow AC to be used when the heating gets turned on. Consequently, my room became very hot to the point that it felt like an oven. When I contacted the front desk they sent maintenance up who told me I could open the window to cool myself off. At least I had that option, because not all hotels do. On a positive note I did like the view from my room, and enjoyed being able to walk by where parts of Wolf of Wall Street was based on. If you are staying here in the winter and have a preference for a cooler temperature while you sleep I would not recommend staying here.

As I had an travel plan at 2024 sep, I wanted to reserve 3 nights at sep, but, I accidently made an reservation of 2024 december. After I realize my mistake, I sent a cancellaton request in that day; but it was declined. Later I sent a modification request to other schedule of decemer; then, it was declined. I understand it is the hotel's policy; but I was hoping they have an empathy with customers. Even it has 3 months time, they were not care about this. I was disappointed by their simple answer " no, we can't".

Honestly, the bathroom did it for me all black bathroom, huge mirrors, vanity, mirror, wonderful bath, products and toiletries, thick towels I'm all about the towels. the daily turn down service. The room was wonderful. It was clean. I love the hardwoods. I really like my bed. It was not as comfortable as my bed at the Hyatt and Flushing, but it was still comfortable and the pillows were huge. I appreciated the mini fridge. The view wasn't awful either. The front desk could have been nicer and more welcoming. They also should have clear signage outside. There's a residential building right next-door and you can see all the people confused between the residential building in the hotel. Very modern and updated hotel has a nice lobby and bar. Near major train lines. Near the stock exchange. Across the street from Duane Read. And near many restaurants. As well as near the south street seaport.

I had an incredibly distressing experience at Hyatt Centric Wall Street. After I checked out of my room in late March, I realized I left my iPad at the hotel room I contacted the hotel to check the lost and found and the staff told me nothing was found. I used the iPad every night while I was at the hotel and know for a fact that I left it in my hotel room on the bed, likely it was under the cover since I missed packing it. However, when I reported the missing iPad to the hotel management, instead of showing any concern or attempting to help, they accused me of lying and insisted that I never left the iPad in the room. They defended the staff that they would never do such a thing as stealing customers items left behind. This iPad was one of the first generations so it couldn't be tracked so they had the perfect excuse not to pursue it. The situation worsened when, just yesterday, I received an alert that someone from Chongqing, China, was attempting to sign into my Apple ID. This confirmed that my iPad had indeed been stolen and likely sold off by someone on the hotel staff. The hotel's blatant disregard for my concerns and the complete lack of accountability from their management is appalling. If you value your belongings and expect decent customer service, I strongly advise you to stay far away from this hotel. You will NEVER see me in any of the Hyatt establishments ever again! ---

This is a work trip, so I can't comment on the cost of my stay, but I can highly commend Raymond for his excellent service getting me checked in, and getting me headed in the right direction for a slice at Underground Pizza. The room is really nice, well-appointed, updated, and comfortable. Good work area available, and also nice to be able to relax in if the opportunity arises.

Horrible service. I smelled gas the minute I walked in. Tried to call anyone who would answer... nothing. Hated to do it but called emergency services. They came and said they didn't detect anything...10mins later the "Manager" showed up at my door with two other personnel asking me if I smelled gas. FOH. DO NOT EVER BOOK HERE.

I am giving this hotel one star with a caveat. The hotel itself is in a great location, clean and modern, and at a very reasonable price for Manhattan. However, I was targeted with a known scam by the front desk associates: https://consumerrescue.org/travel-troubles/hotel-says-you-broke-tv-damage-fee/ Upon returning home after a fantastic trip, I opened my folio and saw the total being $1700 for 2 nights!! Flabbergasted, I opened it up and saw a MISC charge for $1,000 even! Hmmm, right away I smelled A scam. I immediately called the front desk and was told that the manager was away and that I should call back. They did inform me that I cracked the TV in the room that I never even touched. Fishy. They were very rude and dismissive. Double hmm. The very next call was to my credit card to report fraud followed by Hyatt to file a claim. Long story short, if you stay here, take a picture of the room before you check out and ask to see the folio immediately b/c they are scam artists!

This hotel absolutely sucks. I had the worst night's sleep of my life. It was so incredibly noisy within the hotel, and not from street noise. I felt like there was another earthquake within the walls of this dump. The room set up was also strange and looked like the last time it was updated was the 80's. I tried to complain to the front desk about getting a refund and the manager, Sonia, was not helpful or friendly at all. You can 100% find a better place to spend your time and money.

I stayed here for a week on business and it was honestly such a nice experience. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly. My room was cleaned everyday and if I needed anything I was able to call guest services and get it right away. The location was perfect and convenient as well.I definitely recommend this hotel if you're in NYC for work.

Globalist review: 1) this hotel gets more natural light than pretty much any hotel I've stayed in in NYC. For me that's huge. It's also a nice touch to have the blinds automatically go up and down right from your bedside. 2) the rooms are big by nyc standard and modern--this hotel used to be an Andaz. 3) the front desk is always nice, helpful, and accommodating. Same goes with the breakfast folks. 4) the downside is the hotel is down by Wall Street, but I go out of my way to stay there even though it isn't quite convenient to where I do business in the city. I can't recommend this hotel enough. I'm sad to let on to my 'hidden' gem, but the property deserves the recognition!

The room is very nice and clean, we got some good view but the service is very bad. No one help us when we ask for help. We ask for a electric Kettle and they gave us a broken one.

Nice room, clean room. The staffs is not friendly. However, the services is not good. No complimentary tea, coffee in the room. No electricity kettle, we requested many time, and they bring to us the broken kettle, cannot use. Terrible

3.5 stars. I generally stay in mid-town, so it was nice staying somewhere new - close to the pier, The Battery, Brooklyn bridge, Chinatown, and not too far from Tribeca and SOHO. The room was relatively nice, and also very minimal - no coffee, tea, bottled water, or even a small coffee table. No room service. Bigger than any NYC hotel that I've ever stayed. Staff were quick to respond and nice, while also not going out of their way. It's a good find for someone who wants a nice clean room and wants to be left alone.

Stayed here for one night with a special event taking place near by. This hotel is super convenient in the Wall Street area. It's convenient to Cipriani, several eateries, and FedEx office. Front desk staff was friendly. I'd stay here again.

Spent memorial weekend in NYC and found a great deal on Andaz. I've stayed at Andaz Maui before and loved it but was a bit skeptical about staying on Wall st. However decided to take a chance since most workers in the financial district would be gone. I'm so glad i took the chance because the stay was amazing. It was on a quiet street and the room was stunning! The mini bar was free, 24/7 coffee water in the lobby and happy hr in the lobby! The room was spacious, lots of storage room, window seating to lookout, rain shower and comfy bed! It's very close to joe n juice, la Colombe, Wall st, freedom tower, 9/11 memorial Only downside was it is a bit of a walk to the subway..only 5-8 min walk but i enjoyed that it was only 2 stops from SoHo and Chinatown. Will be back !

It was my first stay at the hotel. I would like to list Pro's and Con's. Pro's: * Front desk personnel - everyone I interacted was very friendly and also helpful. * Spacious room - I liked the high ceilings. My room was Andaz Suite, so it was bigger than regular guestrooms, but the high ceilings made the space even bigger (felt like). Also, liked the huge bath tab...unusual to have a bathtub at NYC hotels in general and it's small even if there's one. * Coffee, water, snack, etc setup in the lobby area throughout a day - nice touch! * Location - I was a bit worried being in too 'lower' Manhattan, but subway stations are nearby. * Long brunch hours at the restaurant weekends Con's: * Noise from street level - you can hear car honking through windows. Maybe because my room was on the 10th floor? * Mini bar refill - they were supposed to refill everyday, but for some reason they did not... * Restaurant serves only buffet - limited ala carte items may be ordered through room service. I heard it was temporarily while part of the restaurant/behind the lobby area was under renovation/repair...? I was wondering if the noise issue could be prevented by staying on the higher floor/facing to different side. If so, I would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. The one downfall was the noise from the street. The car honking and police sirens were heard from our ninth floor room.

I adore Andaz hotels because of their complimentary mini bars of snacks and drinks! It presents and gives the whole hotel a warm, hospitable welcome and stay! The first Andaz I stayed in was in Napa wine county so it set the standards of this Andaz hotel. The sparkling water is great and I'm liking the wines down in the lobby during happy hours. The tea bags are wonderful and they don't skimp on the quality. Their architecture is admirable with contemporary designs and neutral lightings. Corner suite was spacious and nicely structured. The layout was nicely divided to the settings accordingly. Breakfast was yummy and they have a gym for running and sweating off the many delights. Conveniently located in the heart of Wall Street!

The Andaz Wall Street could have been a four star property, however, the hotel is showing some wear and left a few things to be desired. I booked my Saturday night stay with airline points, and I'm really glad I did that because spending more than $200 out of pocket would have left me feeling salty. I still had to pay the $35 resort fee; this is a newish trick from NYC hotels that comes with touristy "perks" that I likely would never utilize. Before my stay, I noticed a lot of reviews that mentioned issues with the AC. I hoped this might be something that was rectified before my visit, but that was not the case. As I read in other reviews, there were large fans in the hallways and the room AC didn't seem to be working. The thermostat said 68 degrees, but if I had to guess I'd say the temp was closer to 80. I practically broke out into a sweat just getting changed. I'm so glad I did my hair and makeup at home in Philly before arriving to NYC, because that would have been a whole problem. I did enjoy the space and brightness of the room. I liked the wood floors with area rug which felt clean and modern. The bathroom was mostly black, which I didn't love. I also hate when the mini bottles of shampoo and lotion aren't sealed. I could tell the lotion in our room was not new which grossed me out; I was happy I had packed some things from home. Simply put, I expect more from an Andaz hotel. All this said, the staff were awesome. Right after checking in, a gentleman swung by to see if we needed anything extra for our mini bar, so we were able to score a couple OJs for the morning (non alcoholic beverages are complimentary, as are the snacks, which consisted of a couple granola bar type items). Later, when I needed a safety pin, one of the front desk gentleman tracked down a travel sewing kit, which contained said pin. At check out, we met another very nice woman (maybe a manager?) who offered us bottled water for our travels. I'm grateful for the hospitality of the staff, but I likely would not stay at this particular property again unless the above issues were fixed.

I stayed here for a few nights with my boyfriend. We got a high floor king suite, which was very large, but my main complaint is that the room didn't get enough sunlight and being in the room sort of made me feel depressed. The mattress was also not great quality (no feeling of depth) and the pillows fell flat immediately upon resting my head on them. The bathroom sink was not very user friendly for washing your face, but there was plenty of counter space which I always look for in hotels. I also liked that there was both a standing shower and a bathtub. The staff is all very nice, and all the items in the minibar (except alcohol) are free and restocked daily. You can also get a cookie from the lobby if you're hungry. I did have to ask twice for some things after calling the front desk though. Overall I'd say it's a good hotel.

A really nice, quiet and clean hotel. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The shower head was fancy. It was very close to the piers. Free water and cookies all the time. It's a nice walk along the water looking at the Brooklyn bridge. It's about 25 mins walk to Chinatown. We walked :)

Front the onset of our arrival we were greeted by two wonderful front desk workers (with nice nails). Easy check-in, great information on the restaurants attached and directions to get to the roof top restaurant. Clean and quaint room ... a lil small but hey it's NYC... Rooftop restaurant has a nice vibe.... Wait staff and Greeter/Host were all kind to us.. Definitely worth the visit and stay. Thanks Hyatt!

First time staying this far south in Manhattan. It was an interesting change in scenery but I found the area more noisy and it kept me up at night and I never felt that way at the grand Hyatt by grand central station. The hotel is ok as there are pros and cons from below but I can't say I would come running back mainly due to the noise. Staff were nice and rooms were clean. Pros: - near the 2, 3 train about 4 min walk and 4,5 train about 6 min walk - Duane reade across the street and near lots of coffee and juice shops and other casual pick up eateries - free fridge bar except for alcohol - water, sparkling water, orange juice, pop, granola bar and chocolate. - free wine in the lobby at set hours (Merlot and Chardonnay when I was there) and cookies in the lobby as well as coffee and tea bar 24/7 Cons: - on a higher level floor but heard honking and sirens throughout the night. For some reason it's a noisy area. - temperature control is weird - you have to turn the system completely off (or so we were told) to manage the heat. The heat seems to be on or off no matter what you set the temperature at which was not relayed to us so we kept trying to turn the temp down but was boiling in the room one night. -bathroom is all in black tile which I am not a fan of - hard to see dirt. - platform bed is firm. Not terrible but it's firm and you really can't feel the other person move cause the mattress is so firm! - lighting is very dim in the room. Need a few more pot lights in the bathroom and the room overall

I am so blown away at the condition of this hotel room. The linoleum, faux wood floors were literally loose and peeling up. We cut our foot on the piece pictured. The walls were damaged, the shower was impossible. The restaurant downstairs was closed the majority of the weekend. The heater in the room was stuck on and we had to literally open the window to sleep in February. It was an all around horrible experience. I will say the staff was absolutely wonderful and the lack of care taken to keep up this hotel is was not their fault. I will never be back and would ever anyone from staying here while in Manhattan.

PLEASE NOTE - If staying at the Hyatt Centric Wall Street. Do not book using the pay in advance option. I made the mistake of booking under the pay in advance option I unfortunately needed to cancel due to a severe virus. I called the hotel explaining the situation offering to provide a doctor's note from the hospital noting no travel. The manager would not budge, I was told the hotel would be stuck with the reservation although the reservation was from Tues - Sat. Ample time to release the room and re-reserve. I explained the situation in detail to manager Marquinn Richard whose response was I am trying to break the rules. He was rude, would not listen and basically shut me down. I escalated my complaint to Hyatt HQ who advised Hyatt Centric Wall Street is a chain hotel it is up to their management to determine if they will permit the refund or not as exceptions can made to the pay in advance reservations. Basically, Marquinn Richard just doesn't have any empathy for Hyatt guests whether you're sick, in the hospital, whatever the case he will profit off your illness as in this case they've cleared their $2415.50 from us and I'm certain have reserved the room to other guests. I've tried to escalate to their GM however Marquinn Richard has blocked me speaking with him. I've been told the GM is not available whenever I've tried to contact, or Hyatt Customer Service have tried to contact. The customer service is awful, management is rude, they have no customer service skills whatsoever. It's already upsetting being sick, adding the lack of understanding allowing me to either have a full or partial refund is inhumane. I will never book at another Hyatt Hotel moving forward and have removed them from our companies preferred executive hotel list.

NO BATHROOM FANS. My husband, 2 teenage kids and I stayed here for 3 nights. The steam and the smells that lingered in our 16th floor room is what I remembered most. The room was a bit more spacious than usual, the location was convenient. The bar seemed to close at dusk but at least there are good options for a drink nearby.

The Hyatt Centric Wall Street has become our company's go-to hotel when traveling to NYC for business. In 2022 we have stayed here on about 7 separate occasions occupying multiple rooms for a week or longer at a time. All of our staff love staying here. Each visit has been consistently enjoyable, with fantastic customer service, clean rooms, and everything in perfect working order. The rooms also have great soundproofing, modern lighting/HVAC, and a huge shower. The rooms are SO spacious for New York City or honestly any hotel in general. We also love that the HVAC isn't the common hotel type that is super noisy. Additionally, Anthony the manager is FANTASTIC! We have really appreciated all of his help, especially when we had to make last minute changes on multiple occasions. We were probably being difficult with some of the changes we needed, but regardless he had a smile on the entire time and took VERY good care of us, ensuring we got exactly what we needed. THANK YOU Anthony!

The front desk was super nice when we checked in and extremely helpful with helping us get around town on the train with the track constriction going on. Room was neat and clean. I loved the 6pm wine hour and complimentary snacks and beverages included in the room. Will be staying here again!

I stayed here January 29 - 30, 2018 for a work trip. There is some good to mix in with the bad for this hotel. The good is it is reasonably priced, located conveniently near the financial district, the shower head puts out a lot of water, and the staff are friendly. The bad, however, outweighs the good and I hope to not stay in this hotel in the future. It is beyond loud in the room, so much so it is impossible to get a good night's sleep. I was on the 15th floor and you constantly heard street noises 24/7 such as horns, sirens, and the back up beep of various delivery trucks. For the two nights I was here, sleep was hard to do (and I thought I could sleep through anything). You can also hear every shower, toilet flush, and turning on the sink of the rooms above, below, and next to you. The room has a faux wood laminate on the floor that was not glued down and rises and squeaks with each step across the room and the two chairs masquerading as furniture - while looking trendy and modern - have no functionality as they are not comfortable. To top it all off, the bathroom was never cleaned very well as old soap rings from bar soap and the shampoos were left from previous occupants of the room in the shower. Pretty gross. If none of that bothers you, this hotel is your place as you will save some money. On the other hand, if you enjoy a good night's sleep and require the basic cleanliness you typically expect from hotels I would give this one a wide pass.

Pros: room quality particularly the bathroom, staff, extras. Cons: none, (possible: location if you're more of an uptown tourist). Prior to check-in, front desk staff was easy to deal with over the phone. As a WOH member, the staff more happily accommodated both early check-in (10:30 AM!) and late check-out (2 PM). They did hold my luggage before and after check-in, happily. Lobby is very nice, not gorgeous but the coffee is good and they had snacks out occasionally. Check-in: fabulous. Room is beautiful, it's true that they provide complimentary soda and snacks in the room. Bathroom is gorgeously rendered in black slate. Beautifully connects to the room. Lights in the room are kinda squirrelly but if you're there for a few days you'd probably get the hang of it. The blackouts in my room were controlled by a switch which I loved. Bed was firm (maybe not "Grand Hyatt" bed?), however like many Hyatt's you can request gel pillows to employ during your stay. I'd happily return.

Loved my stay here. * Great bedroom sizes, we were given corner rooms of the view of the city. * Free snacks (cookies) and refreshments in the lobby while you wait. * Cool pens to write with when you get to your room. * Lighting is nice, wish shower side was more private (completely see through) * Staff and hotel were very accommodating, brought Harney & Sons tea, extra bath supplies and slippers for us. Experiences may vary -- Would highly recommend for business, party or intimate get togethers.

I stayed here for two nights in a suite; it was clean, modern and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend opting for a suite if you can, because I saw my friend's room and it was pretty cramped. The suites are spacious, though, with high ceilings, (almost) floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, and a sitting area with an extra TV. My only complaint would be the lack of variety in room service options, although the egg tagliatelle was delicious enough that I'd say it's all you really need.

Stayed the night and wished we had booked for longer. Clean and spacious this room also had the best shower I have ever had the pleasure of showering in. There was more storage space in this room than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is centrally located in the financial district, short walk to the 911 Memorial and there was plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The front desk was incredibly courteous, we couldn't have asked for better service. The breakfast was delicious but a bit pricey, we just were not prepared but did see the menus with the pricing on the way out. Our waiter was also great. Their employees were seriously amazing. I would definitely stay there again

Great place to stay. Family and I stayed 3 nights to visit New York and Yankee stadium stay Centric was pleasant thanks to Sean at the Bar and grill must stop by say hi great guy. My only complaint was that the A/C was not functioning properly good thing it wasn't scorching hot Otherwise I would have given them a 5 star

Check in process is a little silly... they're trying to be Apple Store-like with no counter and agents walking around with iPads, but they still needed to go over to a bank of computers... not an improvement. Their revolving door was sticky so someone was tasked with standing by the door to help you move it, why not just get it fixed? I was there for over 4 days... no change. They lost my reservation for the first night so on arrival I had a harrowing wait to see if I still had a room. Fortunately it ended up not being a serious problem, just a 20 minute delay when I was utterly exhausted. The room itself was pretty cool. Comfy bed, clean sheets, quiet. Also the proximity to the NYSE was clutch since I had an early morning start there. Without the above quirks and hiccups I would have given it 4 stars.

Very beautiful view from their rooftop! I went to a Hanukkah party on their rooftop Thursday and it was truly lovely. The space could use some heater on their outside porch though--the space is expansive and a lot of the party could have chilled outside but the cold was too much. Overall, amazing view and great party space for the warmer months!

Thanks to my company, we stayed here for a night due to bad weather conditioning and needed to be at work the next morning. Very beautiful hotel in the heart of the financial district and literally two blocks from my job. The staff here are beyond excellent and ridiculously helpful. I love both the interior and exterior design of this hotel. Their lobby is spacious, welcoming, and wow! Oh yes! The snack bar in the lobby is the best! They had a variety of interesting selection of coffee and tea brands. Their cappuccino is delicious! My favorite is the big fat cookie glass jar packed with fresh chocolate chip cookies. I love the fact that I checked in, grab myself some snacks and easily transition to my room. My room was near perfect!!! Their beds are comfy and refreshing. They have big closets and a nice size of television. I spent a a good amount of time in the shower and fancy the bathroom set up from the smell of the shampoo, conditioners, body lotion, hand soap, and a ton of accessories we women find appealing! Thumbs up! Don't be afraid to spoil yourself at the mini bar. Nice treats and it's free except for the alcohol. They also have a restaurant onsite, but I didn't have the opportunity to try it out. However, two blocks from the hotel you can make your way to stone street and choose from a large selection of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. If it's a nice night, walk over and admire the Hudson River and stunning view of Jersey city! You'll be perpendicular to the Colgate clock. Great experience!

Booked this hotel through my credit card portal and bought the option that included breakfast at their restaurant for two nights. Room I was in had a constant hissing sound the engineer couldn't fix because it was the old AC system, staff brought earplugs and offered to comp breakfast since they were 100% booked. I already had breakfast included but they gave us the option to do in room as well, very sweet gesture. SO loved the showers, very spacey and the rainwater was nice. Minibar offered complimentary items: tonic water, club soda, Sprite, coke, Diet Coke, 2 bottles of water, sparkling water, chocolate bar and granola bar. Love Hyatt brand for this it saves us a trip to a convenience store. Bed is definitely on the firm side. Lights were a bit dim for my taste even with all of them on. Overall very spacey room for NY. Room did not come with toiletries so called to ask if they could bring up shampoo etc. Their hotel guide said they would leave the bag at the door and knock to let us know it's there but it seems the staff actually wanted us to answer the door. Housekeeping was on point, room was very nice when we came back, they even folded my SOs clothes that he left on the bed. Asked for a humidifier to borrow the second night to help with our allergies but the one they gave us was cracked in the water container part so we couldn't use it. Their breakfast buffet was very nice, tons of options. If you didn't get an option that included breakfast I believe it's $28 pp. SO loved the baby potatoes and steak with chimichuri sauce. I loved their fruits, very fresh. 2nd morning had in room breakfast brought to us with a tray. Guess we either didn't order enough for the rolling table I'm used to seeing, or they don't do that anymore. SO had 3 egg omelette with bacon, cheese, and mushrooms, side of potatoes, 2 slices of toast, and I had turkey hash with 3 eggs over easy. We also had OJ and a latte. Wow their portions were huge compared to in-room breakfasts at other hotels! My eggs were over medium by the time it reached me but it was still very good. We didn't get ketchup or hot sauce though so maybe ask for that when you order if you want some. Overall enjoyed our stay, staff was very accommodating and helpful, room was spacey, food was good.

A very nice stay at the Andaz Wall street for our little jaunt out to NYC. The room was spectacular, especially since we were upgraded to a Suite due to Globalist status, which also removed the pesky "destination fee". The room was remarkably spacious for Manhattan, since even suites can be relatively small in most hotels. The room had a large king bed that was very comfortable, but oddly low to the ground. The bathroom was very nice, although the black tile made it a little bit claustrophobic. There is a large soaking tub in the same room as the shower. The room did show signs of wear, but overall our stay was comfortable. One star was taken off for the location, which is pretty far away from most of the action (although that may be what you are looking for), and the breakfast selection was rather dismal...particularly when you note that it costs $35 per person. Skip the breakfast (even if its included) and go get a delicious breakfast elsewhere. Staff were friendly and service was as expected for this minimalist luxury hotel.

A very noisy hotel. Hard to get a good night sleep. Platform beds are firm but ok. Sheets are reasonable but only moderate thread count. Decent size for nyc with a nice desk for work. Terrible air flow and circulation. Not sensitive to desired temperature levels. Front desk check in was smooth. Service and support were above average. Complimentary coffee and tea were greatly appreciated. Enjoy nyc!!

Very unprofessional and sneaky. I was so shocked to witness how badly and unprofessionally they handled my room reservation. I made a reservation for a 770 square-foot Centric Premium Suite. However, without informing me of any change, they deceptively assigned me a smaller and much less well appointed 610 square-foot Centric Suite because the large suite that I booked was still occupied by the earlier customer. This is totally unacceptable because the hotel never communicated with me about the situation and was charging me the same rate as the original bigger suite, and I discovered the downgrade myself after I entered the hotel room and my entire family all felt it's much smaller than a 770-sqft room should be.

I opted to stay at the Andaz Hotel during a recent business trip. The location was beyond convenient for me, and the rooms were spacious and very clean. I also really liked the bathroom, and the shower is fabulous (I've heard the bathtubs are incredible too, if you are lucky enough to score one). I did appreciate that the items in the minibar are free except for the alcohol. Normally, location and cleanliness are most important to me when I seek a hotel room. I still think that's true, but I was so disappointed in nearly everything else. Namely, 2 major things: 1) the bed and pillows were SO uncomfortable! The mattress was hard, and I spent my 3 days in NYC with a sore and stiff back. 1a) The "pillows" are atrocious. I stacked 3 (!!!!) and it was the equivalent of half a pillow at home. First world problems? Maybe. But I had a severe headache for most of my stay, which made functioning very challenging. I don't normally get headaches. 2) while the staff was friendly, jeebus if you need something don't expect to get it without some major hassle. Each time I called for something (3x), it required multiple phone calls to get assistance. The first time, the staff forgot. The second time, no one came and I couldn't wait for them. And the last time took 3 or 4 phone calls.

I am a platinum member so I expect to be treated a little better than most guests. I booked a night here to come up for a weekend. I like the hotel and the location. I did the online check-in and told them that I would be arriving at 12:30. As it turned out we arrived about 1:30. I was on a bit of a tight schedule and just wanted to drop of the bag and do a quick refresh before getting to my 3pm appointment. First, the room was not ready. Second they told us they had a nice restaurant where we could get a quick bite that turned out to be closed. So the start was not good. Then things improved, they checked my bag and pointed us to a great little street nearby (stone street) where we had a great quick meal and were able to make our meeting on time. Later that evening when we returned they had the room ready and placed us in a very nice room. Everything went well from there. So they lost one start due to the bad start, but get four for recovering well. I will stay here again.

We spent 5 days here in October 2018 and it was one of the best hotel experiences our family has every had! -Amazing staff! Charlie checked us in and got us up to our room in like five minutes. Giselle was a sweetheart and we enjoyed seeing her each day. -The room was spacious and gorgeous. -The location was awesome. Literally a five minute walk from the subway. -The building was classy and very clean/well maintained. Gorgeous design and welcoming. Seriously, we will be back next year!

Simply WONDERFUL, Very modernize hotel at a walkable distance to the Financial district. The check in went smoothly and the staffs were all very friendly. How great is it have free snacks and beverages(excludes alcohol) in your room. The WIFI was kind of slow, couldn't stream videos but surfed the web without a problem. The room itself is very clean and neat. The wall control can access all lights in the room. Like most hotel they have mini size soup bar, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, Q Tips, cotton balls. There is no bathtub but instead a mini chair to sit on. They also provide bathrobes and slippers. Had no problem with any sound population from other rooms and if so they also had free ear plugs by the bed. I like how considerate the hotel is; by the entrance of the hotel are umbrellas for their guests incase if rains and a computer(Mac) for printing out boarding pass. Great experience overall !
