Full of wonderful surprises. In a walkable safe area, we found the setting of this gem welcoming. ||The front desk staff went above & beyond accommodating our travel needs. They gave the best recommendation for breakfast (Morning Fork) a short walk away. ||The Hyatt House restaurant is breathtakingly elegant with delicious cuisine. The included breakfast was perfect, un rushed & a generous array of breakfast choices. We will most certainly return soon!

Worst experience in a hotel in recent memory. Room was filthy, had only been partially turned over. Rotting, foul smelling food left in kitchen trash. Dishwasher filled with dirty dishes. Shower door would not close, trash can lid broken, microwave dirty inside and out. Pullout sofa filled with food, crumbs, trash. Stains/hairs on pullout mattress. A/C ceiling unit slow to cool, A/C filter cover dangling from unit and dirty filter exposed. The sign in the room asking for housekeeping tips was the icing on the cake. Breakfast food was decent but lounge room had its own cleanliness issues; we were the first guests of the morning so the dining area clearly had not been cleaned properly overnight. Reached out to hotel manager, no response. Go elsewhere, very nice Kimpton nearby and many other options downtown.

Very welcoming staff! Nice selection of snacks, drinks and food at check in. Also large glass dispenser of water with lemon by the elevators is a nice touch. Absolutely beautiful property. Upgraded to an apartment (#518) with full kitchen, living room, separate bedroom with king bed, zero entry shower, nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash available. Breakfast is available in the morning. This is not your average hotel breakfast. It’s above and beyond. It did not serve gluten free items and there are nuts by the oatmeal so I didn’t eat much, but others were really excited about the selections! Options for parking include street meter parking, Valet or a garage off property. Uber and Lyft are very easy to grab. I would 100% stay here again!

Google
Absolute false advertising online for this location. Spacious - no, it is dorm room in size. Views - literally a brick wall view out the window. There is no window that opens. Staff - 1 person the entire stay was polite. Food - Breakfast was bland and limited. Actually, I felt bad for the one gentleman working who was doing everything on his own. He was awesome and deserves a raise for sure! Customer service - Asked for luggage to be held for 1 hr. Was told yes, then another staff member rudely said NO. Causing complications as I have a bad back and was hoping to get food before our flight. Making it impossible for that to take place. Just 1 example of the establishment staff. Area- Safe and several things within walking distance. Overall- You can hear everything above you from footsteps to screaming kids to rolling luggage. IF you decide to stay here, be sure to ask for the top floor or at least 3rd floor or higher to see something other than a brick wall. We travel a lot all over the country for business, and we will NOT be returning to this location as it is NOT worth the price.

Great hotel with great staff. We were greeted every time we came and went from the hotel. Room was great and very clean. The hotel was close to the freeway so made it easy to go visit family. It was also in a spot where we could walk to dinner every night. Lots of great choices within walking distance as well.

Noise canceling, great AC settings, also soundless. Great amenities: Guest laundry and gym. The room we stayed had a kitchen, couch, king size bed. The bathroom, however, had a sliding door that could not close fully, which makes it more suitable to a couple and not friends.

Its location is close to socialization areas. Rooms're clean and comfortable. Breakfast is rich and delicious. The team was helpful and friendly during our 3-day stay. There is an ATM inside the hotel. Jazz Alley right behind the hotel has fun places in the evening. To the south there are markets and places to eat.

It was my first time stating at Hyatt House Midtown. I had to wait in the lobby to check in, even though I was the only one checking in and no line. The manager on duty Tanisha was curt and not very accommodating. Up the elevator to my room and I was given the wrong room. I had upgraded and nobody at the front desk had any idea. Back down to the lobby so that I could prove to the staff via the email I received on my phone. Back up the elevator to the second room. This room had a blocked window with a view of the roof drain and the AC was not working. Back down the elevator to the lobby. I was given the key to the third room. This was also the wrong room type with 2 queens when i specified 1 king. The room was also sweltering hot and smelled disgusting. Back down the elevator yet again and was finally given the correct and fully functioning room. It took 4 times for the staff to get the room right, meanwhile I have my seven year old daughter in tow this whole time. When I went to voice my complaint to the staff the employee only stated "this was all your decision." No apology, nothing. Just a whole bunch of attitude. At this point I am appalled. When I asked the employee for his name all he did was point to his name tag and walk away. His was name was Cosmo and he refused to give me his last name. I tried to get the general managers contact information but the staff refused to give it to me. after some of my own time and research I was able to obtain the name and voicemail of the GM and I left him a message. I have yet to receive a call back

Yelp
This location is in Midtown, which is like the trendy part of Sacramento. It's also got some historical elements, like this Hyatt House, which used to be the 1928 Eastern Star Hall. This building is pretty! There are 8 stories. The rooms are apartment-like and some are suites. My 1-king bedroom on the fourth floor had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and comfy couch. The bed was soo comfortable. The blankets were warm. This room faced 28th Street. My issue with this hotel was that the guy at check in barely said anything to us. He didn't explain breakfast hours, where the elevators were, or welcome us as status-holders. This was the first time in a while I've had such an experience at a Hyatt property. Parking: valet only, $40. I found an uncovered parking lot on 28th that was $10 for overnight. The valet attendant is directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast: M-F 6:30A-9A, S-S 7A-10A on 3rd floor. Offered typical hotel breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, and hot coffee. They also had oatmeal and some fruits. The Star Lounge is pretty to visit with the blue velvet chairs and candles. Fitness center: 24 hours, on basement floor Laundry: 24 hours, on basement floor No pool. Free wifi

Yelp
First time staying at this location. The staff very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas time. Loved it. It's in a great location a lot to do around.

Yelp
I don't normally stay in my own city in a hotel - however sometimes it's fun to get creative away from home if you understand my vibe. Whether you are a local or visiting from out of town for work or pleasure, I highly recommend this hotel. It's the perfect mixture of modern with charming character. Rooms are spacious, clean and updated. The bar/restaurant is simply amazing. The complimentary breakfast buffet is an excellent value. The valet is a little pricy at $40 but with all of the other perks I can overlook that. Don't sleep - ( no pun intended) on this stunning yet affordable midtown hotel.
google avatar

Yelp
Pleasant staff enjoyed the valet service temperature in the room was perfect. Downside was on the second night we found a tooth in our bed! I called and left a message for housekeeping and no one responded.

Lyn C.

Yelp
Staff was so nice and helpful. Rooms give the home feeling with soft beds. One thing I will add is if The little fridge in the room wasn't cold but was all the way max on cold but my ice cream Melted. And if they get a hot tub

Yelp
As healthcare travelers we need a safe and reliable location to live and the Hyatt always delivers. From Tanisha and Rachel to welcome you in the door, to Donald in the kitchen at the included breakfast service and even Kenzie at the attached Star Lounge, the entire family at the House creates the warmth you can expect in a home. A great place for those who are unfamiliar with the area and need a great place to stay for a day or a few.

Yelp
Very nice looking hotel but something is just off. It's the little things. Shower sliding down wouldn't stay closed. The door on the bathroom is a slide door as well. The breakfast setup is nice but the food was just okay. Having to peel hard boiled eggs it's easy or fun.I feel like this hotel has potential to be better. The little things just add up too just an okay experience overall.

Yelp
Long Overdue, But Worth the Hype! We stayed here back in April for a weekend birthday celebration--and let me just say, this place delivered exactly what we needed: comfort, convenience, and a little bit of chaos (parking-related, but more on that later). First off, we loved the area. Great location--close to everything and anything you'd need for a weekend getaway. The hotel itself? Super clean, family-friendly, and surprisingly spacious. The room gave us plenty of space to stretch out and not feel like we were playing Tetris with our luggage and kids. Shoutout to the front desk staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful, and double kudos to the housekeeping team who kept us fresh and tidy every day like hotel ninjas. You don't realize how amazing daily housekeeping is until you're no longer stepping on Goldfish crackers barefoot. Breakfast? Not going to win a Michelin star, but hey--it's free, hot, and made our mornings so much easier. The kids were thrilled with waffles and cereal (the breakfast of champions), and we adults appreciated the quick fuel before the day's adventures. Now, for the drama: parking. If you're not using the valet service (which is $40/day), just know you're entering a competitive sport. Finding a spot is like playing real-life Mario Kart--but with fewer banana peels and more frustrated U-turns. If you can swing it, spring for the valet and save yourself the parking headache. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back. It was comfy, friendly, and gave us everything we needed for a fun family weekend. Just don't forget to pack your patience (or your valet tip).

Yelp
This is a charming, elegant, modern experience couched in an historic building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and just booked for a second time. Incredibly comfortable beds; understanding and discreet staff (hangover was gently overlooked). (The hotel is well-positioned: a park in view and many great bars quite close by.) Because of said condition, I missed breakfast - which my partner said was EXcellent.

Yelp
Three stars reflects the sour experience of trying to check in. We had a glitch happen when trying to check in. The front desk solution was to tell us 'we can't help you - call corporate.' Then the staff member literally just walked away. We asked for a manager. She was able to help us fix it but she did tell us that the staff was just doing their job and if she hadn't been there 'we'd have been hosed'. Just - wow. Really left a bad taste. The room is nice enough. Just a decent hotel room. Definitely no amenities to speak of. The breakfast was decent for a hotel breakfast but there are much better options in the area if you're not strapped for cash. Our car was broken in to overnight. Bummer. Overall we're done with midtown hotels and ride staff. Won't be back.
google avatar

P A.

Yelp
When in doubt, Hyatt. Room is above average. Hotel Bar reminds me of a SF hookup that Drs bring nurses before they hook up. Pay the $40 valet parking fee or your car will get broken into. Crack head emergency room is across the street. A helicopter was flying above asking for help locating a lost (escaped) patient.

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights for our niece's volleyball tournament. WOW! The building is absolutely gorgeous. That old school historic vibe, noice. With our discoverist status, we got waters and an upgrade to a 2 queen suite that comes with a kitchenette. I love having a kitchen even though I know dam well I'm not going to use it LOL. It's just nice knowing it's there. All the silverware, cookware, and cups were pristine. Room was clean and cute. The only issue was the bathroom door was a little difficult to open from the inside. This was purely a design issue. Complimentary breakfast is at the Star Lounge and was great. Hot foods and traditional breakfast, yogurt, cereal, and a nice toaster with a whole tray of different breads and bagel. The woman that was manning the breakfast station was awesome (short blonde hair). I always noticed her helping out guests with something and had a good hospitality radar (to anticipate needs). Would definitely come back. Valet: $40/day with in & out privileges

Yelp
Great place, but be careful booking I booked a night for a Tuesday, somehow reservation shows Saturday. when i noticed, I called to change to correct night. Once they get your money (paying up front) they will no nothing the to change or modify your reservation. If you change / modify or cancel they keep the full room rate. Read the fine print, they will remind you they you did this on purpose then hang up on you. I have stayed here before and loved the place, the people there are another level of rude and un helpful.

Yelp
What a stunning hotel!!!! I'm a big fan of Hyatt Hotels. I've been watching the transformation of this beautiful historic building in Sacramento. This building needed a massive investment to bring it back to a modern functional level. Hyatt really did it right. I'm a little surprised they put this property in the Hyatt House category. Perhaps because of the nearby Hyatt Regency. The detail that was preserved is just amazing. The new incorporates so well into the historic past. I had dinner at the dining room which is clubby, intimate with a good modern vibe. The music is a bit loud and the atmosphere is more lounge like. I ordered the steak which was $60. Hard to imaging any course costing that much at a Hyatt House but this was an absolute amazing dish. Meat and potatoes at its very best and worth every dollar. This hotel and restaurant/bar is far beyond my expectation. When Hyatt dies it right they do it right. This is a show stopper. Do remember you are still staying at a Hyatt House not a "Grand Hyatt" Just Brilliant A+ five

Yelp
Wonderful location. Loved the morning breakfast. We enjoyed dinner and time in the Star Lounge. Very Grand architecture and decor. Rooms do not have blackout shades. So we were blasted with the sunlight in the morning. Next time we will ask for a room facing the other side.... Or hopefully they will upgrade to blackout shades. We did take advantage of the sun and entertained ourselves with poorly made hand puppets.

Latasha B.

Yelp
This was our go-to for a decent little hotel for a one or two night stay in Sacramento. However we will never return due to the noise from the bar across the street. Dudes with their cars like to hang out in front and even with a noise machine and ear plugs it kept us up. The last two stays there we got zero sleep. You've been warned.

J M.

Yelp
Very interesting hotel and great adaptive reuse of a property. Nice staff and friendly folks. The Star Lounge has some memorable food and drinks. The chef is talented and I only wish she/he got to do more. Enjoy it often on visits. The only downside at times are some of the other guests but hey can't have it all. Will stay here over and over and appreciate the attention to items that sometimes come up. For Hyatt house, it's a step above. Many thanks.

Kelby L.

Yelp
Hotel was great and would recommend. Some of the positive include spacious rooms, free breakfast, ease of finding street parking, and good location. Rooms had security safe, small fridge, and a microwave which was convenient. I don't have anything negative to say about my stay at hotel.

Yelp
Modern hotel (looks renovated) located in midtown Sacramento that we booked while spending one night in Sacramento. Location is really solid, being in midtown, with a lot of restaurants and shops in the area. Farmers market is also walkable on weekends. We arrived pretty late in the evening and pulled up to the front in order to valet our car. We were a bit confused upon arrival as there was a man standing out front with a safety vest, but no name tag or branded uniform, from what we saw at least. It took a hot min before we were acknowledged and it turns out the gentleman was associated with the hotel and that the actual valet was off running a car. Being late at night, this just came off a little sketchy, especially without the typical welcome one might be used to when pulling up to the hotel. I feel it's an opportunity to help guests feel more aware and safe. Other than that, we were able to check in easily and quickly: the staff at the front desk was nice and we promptly made our way up to the room. The room was pretty expansive and included a kitchen area and large shower. The room seemed renovated which was nice too. Comfortable bed, good water pressure a plus as well. We went to bed pretty soon after checking in and the next afternoon, we were also able to check out easily and retrieve our car, this time from someone who was clearly a part of the valet team.

Yelp
This is an amazing historic type hotel. The rooms are arge and well appointed. The gym is fantastic and open 24 hours. The staff is professional and very helpful. It's right across the street from sitters fort and has great food within a couple of minutes from the hote.

Yelp
Stylish. Sexy. Nostalgic: Great For Drinks & Evening Whimsy! SITREP Have you ever wanted to have an exceptional shortlist of places you can pull from in order to celebrate quickly put-together, but still important birthday soirees? THIS is one spot that could be at the top of that list. THE SETUP I only recently became aware of Hyatt House when my music & dance circle of friends coalesced here for a well-needed respite to celebrate some birthdays amongst us. And imagine my surprise when I discovered this spot was only four (4) blocks from where I live! "THE STAR LOUNGE" The Hyatt House is a really classy hotel with some exceptional room arrangements that include some excellent suite and jacuzzi configurations. This experience is about the 3rd Floor Bar which is the celebrated "The Star Lounge", a very large community room with a stylish old school bar with plenty of room to socialize! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hyatt-house-sacramento-midtown-sacramento?select=lVvWEgZ-ZeTX2q6cgPL88g&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w First come, first serve, so no reservation is necessary. Our group of 14 party-crashers found a couple of sectionals and their adjacent *smoking-style chairs*. LE MENU The menu is brief, but the items are exceptional! My party-associates absolutely loved their Short Rib Tacos (w/lime cabbage slaw, avocado purée & cotija, $15) and THEY SHARED! *Oh YUM* I grabbed the Hyatt's signature Double Smash Burger (Faria brioche, Fiscalini white cheddar, house pickles, lettuce, preserved tomato, aioli & french fries, $16), and it was undeniably one of the best burgers I have had! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hyatt-house-sacramento-midtown-sacramento?select=n76U6_qpQrhMQ8XVvxOzZQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w DRINKS I also love getting an establishment's signature drinks as a sort of measuring stick to see how a venue stacks up against other venues I've been too. Tonight I grabbed the Lucky Star Old Fashioned (barrel select stellum bourbon, orange, angostura, demerara sugar & luxardo cherry, $14), and it was a complete tonguegasm. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hyatt-house-sacramento-midtown-sacramento?select=kdv11l9bp1CxHgwreVs23w&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN Great spot to celebrate, have some tasty food and enjoy libations with friends.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty much brand new, and the kinks haven't yet been worked out. The lobby is beautiful, and so are the side areas. The Star Lounge is swanky, and their included breakfast is above average. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, my room didn't have hot water. It was tepid at best and I got goosebumps while showering. I told the front desk about the issue, and the girl told me that this was a problem during their opening week. She said that she would have maintenance check it out when they came by in the afternoon. My water was never fixed. I ended up taking two uncomfortable showers, which was disappointing since it was cold and rainy outside, and a hot shower would have been a welcome reprieve. Secondly, for the price of the rooms, I would think that they would have lotion for guests, but there isn't any. While checking in, I was given a card with a number to text, just in case I needed anything. I texted it, asking if there was lotion, but no one ever responded. Why give guests a help number and then not man it? I wound up asking at the desk, and I was given two small lotion samples. It left me wondering why they weren't in the rooms in the first place. The hotel, though beautiful, needs some tweaks.

Yelp
Last place that I'd want to stay, , Midtown Sacramento. Not safe for walking day and night.

Amberlyn Y.

Yelp
Home away from home. We made it to our destination and rolled right on up to the Hyatt House, were I always stay , wouldn't stay any where else . They were expecting us in fact the GM contacted my Uncle to see if everything was okay because we hadn't arrived and some of the local reporters and bloggers raise quite the concern that I hadn't arrived yet enough concern that the GM took it upon themselves to do a wellbeing check on us and check on our ETAWe arrived finally was greeted by great staff welcoming us everone received their assign suits management and another staff member escorted me to my on suite as usual a beautiful spacious suite they never disappoint and always one up themselves each and every visit

Yelp
So I just witnessed a master class in customer service by a hotel manager. I was told the morning of check in that I could check in early and the room was ready. I got to the hotel and room was not ready and I had to wait almost an hour after the official check-in time to actually check-in. I was not happy. And everyone knew it. I told the desk manager that I had spoken with a woman and he claimed no woman worked at day. I have him Rachel as the name of the person I spoke with... He walked away and I never saw him again that day. Low and behold who walks out to help me... Rachel! By this time I was tired, hangry and felt ignored. Rachel rocked it out. She started with telling me the truth. That a new hire has accidentally given away my room and that she was sorry. She gave me drink tickets to help alleviate some of the stress and throughout my stay check in on me and gave me snacks and water. Hey approach to take responsibility and be honest about what happened helped ease me and solidified my decision to stay at the Hyatt House. Thank you Rachel for your above and beyond service!

Yelp
Have someone inspect, check the rooms, suites are cleaned and all amenities are operating before check in. We arrived on a Friday evening about 4:30pm to be told the bar area had been rented out for a private event so there was no bar service available. Given the keys to our suite we arrived to find out the light over the couch wasn't working. We called down to the desk they sent a technician by the name Paul and were told the repair would take some time and he would get keys for a comparable suite. Paul came back with a key for a room unlike the suite we reserved. He said he'd get some more keys and "WE "could take a look around for another room. Unacceptable we didn't choose this hotel to go from room to room with staff try to find suitable accommodations. We went down to the desk to inform them of the issues. The private event had began a the hotel and the lobby area was crowded no place to seat. We advised them we'd to go to the restaurant adjacent to the hotel as we'd already valet our vehicle to await. We spent over $180.00 in a restaurant waiting for our room to be ready. We'd come to celebrate a birthday and our reservation for The Holiday Express Train 7:00pm. By the time we received keys to our room there was only time to change and make the train reservation. We made as the last passengers to board the train before it pulled off. What was supposed to be a high end hotel caused our birthday celebration to start out unlike we'd planned. I know things happen, my problem is there was no concern, not apology, consideration given or offered for our inconvenience. Not a place I'd recommend.

Yelp
Stayed here for work. Love love love it. The room was beautiful. I felt like I had my own apartment. Very clean and staff was friendly. Used valet and they have a cool app feature to use so your car is ready when you need it. Great location many restaurants in walking distance. Right across from a park so view was great. Will stay here every time I'm in town.

Yelp
My husband and I had the chance to have a little staycation at the Hyatt House Sacramento/Midtown recently. We were greeted kindly by the front desk receptionist and checked in right away! The room was beautiful and furnished with all the essentials (I loved the bathroom toiletries they provided!). We also had the chance to dine at the Historic Star Lounge for dinner and drinks. The food was delicious (get the NY strip steak, Bouillabaisse and the cheesecake) and the drinks were phenomenal (Mae's Gin & Tonic and the Old Fashioned). The servers were warm, friendly, and knew what they were doing (Shoutout to Frankie, Nicole, and Lacey). I also thought that it was pretty cool how the lounge turns into the buffet breakfast in the mornings. The hotel is beautiful with the smallest details giving a lovely ode to old school California. Highly recommend staying & dining here! I will say that parking is super tricky but it is worth spending $ on the valet services.

Yelp
Update, 1 week later on night 2: it's a great stay! Our room this night is much larger with a super nice, fully stocked kitchenette. I've had a chance to use the shower & I REALLY like the shower & toiletries. Parking is tricky here, so passing through like we are, we'd probably not opt for a downtown experience again, but if that's the goal this is the place! Hyatt is brilliant & offers the best hospitality..Like the "borrows menu" that offers all kinds of things they have available for guests to use during your stay. I love it. Free breakfast is beyond what you'd expect, & the setting is very nice.

Yelp
an awesome place since the check-in to the check-out. The manager did everything, including giving us tips on what to do in the area and visiting us once in a while during our stay. Service, it was yes; but that kind of service is kindness. and that was the whole point

Yelp
Our experience in staying at the Hyatt House Midtown was beyond our expectations. The staff made our stay even better. Tanisha and Yvonne helped us and accommodated us in every way. We will stay here again!

Bryanna Q.

Yelp
Great service! Great staff! Special S/O to the Valet manager and Valet Sam for their hard work! Thank you Sam for helping me with all of my event rental load up. I broke my wrist a few months ago and his assistance made it easy for me to pack up and head out. I'll be back!

Jake N.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to stay in Sacramento and I stay here multiple times a year. Comfortable rooms, a great bar & restaurants on-site (Star Lounge), and around the corner (Octopus). Tanisha at the front desk is an absolute gem; I hope they know how lucky they are to have someone like her on the front lines taking care of their guests.

Yelp
I've been staying here whenever I work and they've always gone above and beyond making me feel welcomed. I spent my birthday here and Vanessa spent time speaking to my wife to surprise me with gifts as well as cake. Love the location, room, and more importantly the people here are awesome. Thank you for the staff here for the signed card. It's the small things that people do which gets them noticed by people who care. hyatt house, I care. Thank you for the surprise :).

Yelp
Great location, food and friendly staff. Unfortunately our last few stays here the rooms were air restricting, dry and "stuffy." Dust mites are not our friends and we were sneezing and waking up due to the lack of circulation. Literally feels like theres not enough oxygen in the rooms and the windows are sealed. I decided to take a look at the air filter and noticed it was completely blocked up and this was the same for another room. We truly like this place but will not be staying until some ventilation adjustments are made.

Yelp
We were visiting Sacramento for the weekend and needed a place to stay for the night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt House as it felt newly renovated. Rooms were clean and spacious and front desk provided easy checkin/checkout. Rooms had a very nice bathroom, a kitchen area(microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, etc), and a pullout bed. Price was quite fair especially for the area and worth a quick stay. It's within walking distance to midtown nightlife so there is no need to uber, etc. The only minor con was that valet parking is the only parking accommodations the hotel offered. We felt that parking should be provided for hotel guests as a courtesy especially with the rates we were charged. We recommend parking on the street as parking is free starting at 6PM-8AM everyday. Tip: parking meters allow you to "pre-pay" so you don't have to come early to pay for parking! Complimentary breakfast wasn't amazing but a much better experience relative to breakfast provided by other hotels. There was a lot of variety when it came to hot foods, beverages, and quick snacks.

Yelp
The building has a lot of character. Very well maintained and clean. A very helpful staff. My visit was only for an overnight as I flew out the next morning. The room was flawless and charming. Modern yet classic.

Yelp
It was my first time staying at Hyatt House Midtown. I had to wait in the lobby to check in, even though I was the only one checking in and no line. The manager on duty Tanisha was curt and not very accommodating. Finally got my key and up the elevator to my room. I was given the wrong room. Back down the elevator yet again and was finally given the correct and functioning room. It took 4 times for the staff to get the room right! Meanwhile I have my seven year old daughter in tow this whole time.

Yelp
This is a cute little boutique hotel in midtown Sacramento. It looks like it was an old residential building that was converted into this trendy hotel. I didn't stay at the hotel, but I did have cocktails at their restaurant on the third floor. The space is well decorated, and the service is excellent. My cocktail, Margarita, was delicious. Appetizers were beautifully plated and delicious. The vibe here is trendy yet relaxed. It's across the street from a park which is very nice.

Yelp
CLEAN, FRIENDLY, SOLID GYM & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! What else could you want when staying at a hotel? We tip our cap to you Hyatt House! We loved the fact that everyone on site greeted us with a smile and warm welcome: at check-in, on the elevator and in the hallways!

Yelp
Rooms have good space, a mini kitchen, and a pull out bed. I checked out a few hotels in the area and these were by far the nicest

Yelp
The best-kept secret in Sacramento. This new charming boutique building is amazing. There is so much character here. The kitchen inside of the suites is amazing! We will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Will not stay at a Hyatt property again. Stayed at this property for 4 nights. 1st day , no housekeeping, even though the housekeeper was just steps away from our room we we left. 2nd day we called housekeeping to request service and they came. 3rd day we called to request housekeeping and they again didn't show up to service the room, but slipped a housekeeping card under our room door. Restaurants all have restricted hours making it difficult to go to them. There's no roomservice, but something they called in house delivery with a very limited menu, with no breakfast items. We went to the Bar in the late evening to have drinks and tried their flat bread pizza. Both were good and service was very good and friendly. The desk employees were very unfriendly, unhelpful, and acted annoyed in person and on the phone. Mostly, on the phone, no matter the question they would tell us to scan the QR code with our phone. When we said it wasn't working on our phones, they acted annoyed and asked to try it again a call back if it doesn't work. They offered to email the in-room delivery menu but didn't. The rooms looked worn with many dings and stains in the furniture. The wallpaper seams were curling. No notepad or pen in the room. Vanity packs and coffee supplies looked dusty, worn, and used. The one star is for the valet team ($40.00 per day) were consistently prompt, efficient, and friendly.

Yelp
Blast of a time here in this beautifully old home, converted into a bar and restaurant. Truly a hidden gem. My husband and I found it on Yelp and decided to check it out. I can't wait to go back. Both bartenders are very attentive and super fun environment. We met a lot of nice people here. I highly recommend a visit here.

Yelp
The most sweetest host Tanisha Rose. She is definitely a hard working woman. She definitely brings an amazing spirit to the environment. We had an amazing time on our mini Honeymoon get away. This weekend was the vibe. The suit was so gorgeous and the breakfast was so delicious more then I expected

Yelp
So this hotel is very cool. Great location, wonderful staff. Rooms are nice. Giving 4 stars( 3.8??) because hotel restaurant and bar were unexpectedly closed for a "private event" on the Tuesday night we were there. Huge bummer. The bar/restaurant manager gave me a glass of wine to take to our room but our plan was to hang out there and enjoy dinner and the bar and we had to go out elsewhere.. The outlets in bathroom did not work but I mentioned it upon check out so they could fix. The location is really perfect. Easy to find and super close to airport. Bed very comfy AC unit a bit wonky so figure that out before you go to bed. All in all its a nice elegant hotel close to DOCO and the Capitol if in town for business. We will be back.

Yelp
I was hesitant to stay here because I wasn't familiar with Midtown Sacramento. I was visiting my dad in a rehab center for a few days and I had my mother with me. I was so grateful that my brother booked me here for 4 days because it turned out to be just such an incredible experience. The room was so lovely, the view was nice, beds and pillows were comfortable, and the breakfast spot was so adorable with pleasant views and ambience. When my mother ended up needing to be in the ER, I stayed two nights by myself and felt completely safe, even when I parked on the street in metered parking. I was so grateful to Tanisha for her kindness and helping me book an extra night at discounted rate. She was fantastic. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Sacramento.

Yelp
First night I arrived someone tried to break into my room. When I went to go check the door the person had ran away but the handle was broken. There are no cameras on any of the floors and anyone can get into the elevator without a key. The front desk woman working that night could care less and my company had to get involved. They said they couldn't move me rooms only fix my handle and dead bolt. And they couldn't do it that night. So I slept in the room as a single young female without a proper lock because they couldn't move me. Next day they fixed the lock... then I found out my oven was broken. Next day my room keys stopped work and that happened over the course of 2 weeks. I would never recommend this place. I even heard of people complaining that, someone had been in their rooms on days that cleaning people weren't there. Stay safe and do not stay here. Also went to the restaurant to order food. The waitress was visibly upset that I wasn't going to order an alcohol and I was just going to have "small bites"... her words not mine. Added- good luck trying to sleep here if you're on the side facing the gas station. Motorcycles and big trucks come around 11pm-12am every night blasting music and hang out on the street... you can even feel the vibrations on the 8th floor. Sadly I still have a week here....

Yelp
LOVED my stay here! Huge shoutout to Tanisha, so was so helpful. She gave us so many recommendations to eat in the area, and things to site see. She made us feel right at home, and talked to us every time she saw us checking in. We will be coming back and recommending this spot. So many things in walking distance. Rooms are so nice, updated and with the homey feel.
