This is a Hyatt so all the business class accoutrements are in place. The room itself, the bathroom, etc. were all very satisfactory. ||As someone who travels extensively on business, it's obvious that this establishment is extremely well managed. We didn't have many interactions with the hotel staff, but each one was highly productive. The front desk staff was available and helpful from morning to night. The room was cleaned when we asked. ||The breakfast offering, though modest, was of excellent quality - with eggs, a breakfast meat, juices, toast/English muffin/bagels for toasting and fresh fruit. At $14/person, it was an exceptional deal in an expensive part of town. ||Finally, the location is great if you use public transportation. Busses, trains and light rail are all within easy walking distance. ||We stayed over Thanksgiving week and the $165/night rate was also a great deal. I'd expect the rate would be higher when business travel resumes.

I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back the next time I’m in San Fran! I actually booked this hotel because I couldn’t stay at the main conference hotel, and it ended up feeling like a hidden gem; I liked it so much more. This is such a cute hotel with charming décor (loved the Halloween theme!), a convenient location, and great amenities. My room was comfortable and easy to settle into—the shower with the extender was a nice touch, the AC worked perfectly, and the mini fridge was very handy. I found the stay very quiet as well. The staff were warm, friendly, and quick to help with any issues. I wish I had caught their names to mention them here! The grab-and-go market was convenient, and I appreciated that the hotel never felt overly busy; it made for a calm, pleasant atmosphere when relaxing in the lobby or heading out to my conference. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area, and I really appreciated being able to leave my luggage after checkout while finishing up my conference before my flight. Overall, a wonderful, comfortable stay that felt like a true find in the city. Highly recommend!

Youngest son had a Dr.’s appt @ UCSF. (Close to the hotel) The hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Extremely helpful and accommodating Cook that helped with food for our son that has Celiac disease. ||We walked to a nearby restaurant and felt safe. Very happy with our stay! ||We will stay here again in April for the next appt.

Had a very nice stay recently. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very kind. I felt safe and my floor was very quiet. The complimentary breakfast was unlike anything I've ever experienced. A spread of a variety of foods and the coffee delicious. Very close to Oracle park and a doable walk to the Chase Center. My only complaint is that the floors weren't as clean as I had hoped, but that seems standard of most hotels. They just don't seem to shampoo the carpet often. The carpet in my room was particularly dusty in multiple areas so I'm unsure if they even vacuumed.

Google
Such a great experience. The tall gentleman and Ana the night crew are the best! Had a long drive and Ana made the check in so easy. She was so kind and very welcoming. The tall gentleman was also very sweet and helpful. They gave us waters and it was very sweet. The hotel is nice and clean. My only feed back is that the rooms could be looked at. Lots of black scuffs and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed. 🥺

Google
My room was excellent. Comfy bed. Very clean room. Friendly staff. My reservation included breakfast and it was great. Free coffee and water is a welcome touch. Only a block away from a supermarket, the stadium, and local spots. I was here on business and the Wifi was also excellent when I needed to take calls. The only reason I knocked a star is my room was facing the street and it's a very busy street. Noisy traffic, garbage trucks and pedestrians was pretty annoying at night. Would have appreciated better sound proofing overall.

Google
The room was nice but the cleanliness was not great. Awesome skyline view, however the window was covered in hand and face prints from the previous guests. It clearly was not cleaned at all. In addition the bathroom had a significant amount of hair from the last guests as well. There was also a loud subwoofer going until 4AM every night of our 4 night stay. Not sure where it was coming from but it was very loud on the 11th floor.

Was here for a medical conference and then stayed for a bit of San Francisco. Room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. Shout out to Vagish Upadhyay who checked us in and took great care of us for us stay. Super personable and great customer service. Thanks Vagish! Your knowledge is the best 👍🏻

Yelp
Stayed here for a concert at Oracle Park--amazing location, just a block away! The hotel was clean and comfortable. Heads up: they only have 10 guest parking spots (first come, first served), and we had to use a nearby garage that charged $130 due to the event. The hotel doesn't validate parking, which was frustrating. Also, no cots or rollaway beds available--just pack-n-plays. Would stay again for the convenience, but plan ahead for parking!

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this is a great hotel, especially if you are in town for baseball. --- --- --- I struggle to really come up with much I didn't like about this hotel. If I had to say something, it would be that the pillows could have been thicker, but I know that's very much a personal preference thing. Otherwise, everything was ideal! 1) The AC was powerful and kept the room perfectly cool. 2) The shower water pressure was firm and got plenty hot. 3) It's the closest hotel to Oracle Park. From my seat in section 315 (upper deck, behind home plate), my commute to my bed was 12 minutes. And like 8 of those minutes were waiting in line to get on the escalator and waiting for the trolley to pass on the street. 4) Every person we interacted with couldn't have been friendlier. If you are coming in for a Giants game, you should absolutely stay here. But even if you're coming to SF for another reason, if this is in a convenient location for you, don't hesitate to book it.

Yelp
WHY WE WENT HERE: - nearby hotel stay for concert at the Chase Center *** we Ubered to the Chase Center for the concert but walked back to the hotel after the concert was over; easy straight-forward drive and walk either way THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on 3rd St in between Townsend St and King St - limited parking available on street at hotel entrance (for check-in, check-out, pick-up, drop-off) THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - lobby is pretty spacious and luxurious looking; love the seating indoors and for the courtyard for dining - hallways are a bit narrow - rooms are a decent size; we got 2 queens with the pull-out sofa bed in each room (2 rooms for 8 adults) and it fit our needs - loved the mini fridge having a clear door CUSTOMER SERVICE: - woman who checked us in was very warm, welcoming, and informative - FYI parking is NOT available at the hotel; the parking garage (Beacon Garage) is located around the corner from Taco Bell Cantina across the street (entrance on Townsend St) for $30 overnight - FYI breakfast is for a fee ($15 per person at the time of our visit) vs. complementary

Yelp
This hotel is perfect if you are attending a concert at Chase or a game at Oracle Park. Super close and very walkable. If you are planning to visit other areas like Chinatown, the wharf, etc., you will likely want to Uber or take a Waymo. The hotel is nice. Check in/out is super easy and the staff is very friendly. They offer great breakfast that is included in the price of your stay. Our room was on the top floor and the view of the city line was amazing. The beds are comfortable and over all the room was great. We would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Pros: Easy walking distance to Oracle and Chase stadiums. Dog friendly with $75 pet fee. Clean and contemporary. The person who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast available $24/person (adults and children). Cons: They have a very small parking garage with around 4 available spaces "first come, first served" for $75 night. The spaces seem to all be marked compact. If you cannot get one of those spaces, they recommend a non-Hyatt parking at a lot about a block away at $30/night. They have a small bar in the hotel lobby, but it wasn't open on Sunday. Overall, I probably would stay here again if I was attending a game at one of the stadiums. Otherwise, I would look for another option if I was bringing a car. Parking away from the hotel in a different lot made me worrisome about potential break-ins.

Yelp
I stayed here for a work trip! I try to stay at hyatts when possible because of having status. This location is convenient snd the staff was great, the first night I did have some bug issues with my room and they kindly put me in a nicer space and didn't have that issue again. I appreciate the swiftness and care of the staff. The breakfast was your standard breakfast buffet but solid overall. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Good lower-priced hotel option near Oracle Park. It is a bit no-frills but the staff is awesome and the little frozen section in the lobby mini-store even has vegan and gluten-free meals. There is free coffee in the morning and the standard $14 Hyatt breakfast buffet (which is free with some hotel rates). Ask for the courtyard for a quieter room option.

Yelp
Decent hotel that gets the job done. I stayed here for 1 night to attend a concert and my experience was alright. This hotel is located near Oracle Park and right across the street is a Taco Bell Cantina (which was perfect at midnight after a long show). The train station is a few minute walk away along with a Philz Coffee and various cafes and restaurants. The hotel is nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer breakfast every morning from 6:30 am to 9:30 am ($14 per person) and they have a nice bar area. Personally, I am on the fence about the parking and dining situation, as this hotel is very expensive for 1 night. $300 with no included parking or breakfast seems iffy to me, but it's SF so it is what it is. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. TV had very limited channels and the wifi was eh. Overall: I would stay here again, but hopefully at a better price. This hotel is definitely price gouged because of the location, but it was convenient for me and offered a safe, clean place to stay for the night.

Yelp
Summary: Hyatt Place Downtown San Francisco is a great option if you're looking for a convenient, walkable location to explore the city. While the hotel has limited parking, the nearby garage is affordable and makes your stay stress-free. The friendly front desk staff made check-in easy, and overall, it was a pleasant stay. I'm giving it five stars for its location and service. Ambience (4.5/5): The hotel has a modern, clean look, and the location is fantastic for anyone wanting to explore San Francisco on foot. It's in the heart of downtown, so expect some city noise, but the convenience of being within walking distance to major attractions like Chinatown is a huge plus. Authenticity (N/A): Since this is a hotel, there's no rating for authenticity here, but the overall experience feels in line with what you'd expect from a Hyatt property in a major city. Flavor (N/A): No food review for this visit, but there are plenty of local dining options nearby that you can easily walk to or scooter over to, including restaurants in Chinatown and other areas. Cost (4/5): The room price was reasonable for downtown San Francisco, and while the hotel parking was limited, the parking garage across the street was only $30 per night. You can park there and come and go freely for 24 hours, which is a great deal for the city. Service (5/5): The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. Check-in was smooth, and they were helpful in providing tips on parking and navigating the area. Overall, the service was top-notch and added to the pleasant experience. Tips for Visiting: 1. Parking advice: Don't rely on the hotel's street parking; there are only a few spots available, and it's not ideal. Instead, park in the garage directly across the street from the hotel. It's $30 per night with in-and-out privileges for 24 hours, which is one of the best parking deals you'll find in the city. 2. Great for walking: Once you've parked, you can walk almost everywhere. The location is perfect for exploring Chinatown, Union Square, and other downtown attractions by foot or scooter. 3. City noise: Keep in mind it's downtown San Francisco, so the streets are busy and a bit noisy. However, the convenience of the location outweighs the city hustle.

Yelp
It's a pricey hotel but I felt extremely safe here and the bed was more comfortable than some more expensive hotels! Beds and pillows were nice and soft, not too firm. Safety You need a key card to even be able to press which floor to go. Parking is expensive and very exclusive (only like 6-8 car slots?) but the garage is blocked off publicly and you need employee access to even reach the garage floor from the elevator. Soundproofability We've been to hotels where sound was very plentiful and I'm not sure if we got lucky and sent to a floor where not many people were booked, but we didn't experience much sound annoyances, even with the window being close to the streets. It was nice and quiet. Friendly customer service The workers were really nice and accommodating. We got lucky and a very friendly customer service rep was able to reveal to us that someone was leaving their parking spot soon and they would contact us when it's free and save the spot for us. This is one of the few Dog friendly hotels out there! It's a good location with a Taco Bell down the street and close to various parks, cafes, and Oracle Park + Case Arena. Only negatives really are the thin blankets and it takes a bit for the thermostat to get going and have a noticeable effect.

Yelp
Everything @HyattConcierge made a reservation by mistake at Hyatt place in sf through booking.com and what a nightmare because I wanted to make a reservation at Hyatt regency. On phone on hold for over 55 minutes because the manager at Hyatt place could not be bothered that my reservation was to be at Hyatt regency which i made after being on hold and rudeness at Hyatt place who ate my $235 . Your policy states 48 hours cancellation but I made a reservation just yesterday so if choose to cancel I can within minutes of 3pm . But aHyatt place did not care if I made a reservation at regency and those idiots on the system made Hyatt look stupid and the manager took full advantage of eating $235. Bad experience especially knowing i made reservation at regency. The punishment should fit the crime . These people need to criminally charged for 235 days along with those involved in the system. And Hyatt to loose 235 thousand in revenue for not valuing a customer who made a mistake to book a better hotel . What a shame Hyatt has idiots at Hyatt place .i mean that's only fair right Hyatt chews customers and I chew Hyatt Never book at Hyatt place at sf it's a rat hole and all reviews are fake from friends . Least they could do was honor the regency reservation and refund butt someone wants to say I won !! I know you all know these people just be careful don't be stingy and book a five star hotel to avoid these mishaps .

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights 8/26-8/29/22. Excellent hotel for those those quick hits when you're not looking for frills. Updated, well maintained and clean. Big lobby for this size hotel with a nice bar and lots of tables. Complimentary breakfast from 7-10 am. We stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor and I was afraid of street noise but surprisingly it was quiet. We heard the occasional rail transit but nothing intrusive . However, my brother stayed on the 11th floor and had to wear earplugs to sleep because of the noise from the rooftop restaurant/bar Kaiyo SF on the 12th floor. Excellent service. Front desk personnel were friendly and professional. The location is across from Oracle Park where the SF Giants play baseball so expect traffic during game days. There are a few bars, coffee shops and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. Otherwise, the Embarcadero is about 1.4 miles away. It's a safe and lovely walk if you're inclined. Pro Tip- If you're taking an Uber to the Embarcadero or Fisherman's Wharf, tell the driver to make a right in Townsend St and it will take you straight to the Embarcadero. Our Uber driver followed his Google maps and took us through the city which took like 25 minutes when the Embarcadero was just 1.4 miles away. We almost missed our reservations. Happy Traveling!

Yelp
great place to stay especially if going to oracle park or chase center. extremely clean and customer service excellent. Will definitely stay there again.

Yelp
Solid! Mission Bay/China basin area, near Giants stadium and less than a mile walk to Chase Center (Warriors). Seems like a bit newer area, so not as sketch. Felt safe walking around w/ the fam. Pros: - decent size room for SF standards - free breakfast! Nice spread w/ several fresh fruit options, waffles, eggs, breakfast burritos, oatmeal, toast, yogurt, etc. - walking distance to the sporting venues, so you don't have to pay twice for parking - modern decor and cool outdoor seating area Cons: - parking on-site is $85 and first come first serve. Tips: Around the corner by Taco Bell Cantina is another parking garage the hotel employee recommended. It's only $30/night. Would stay here again.

Yelp
Located beside oracle park, I stayed here not long ago and had a great experience for the most part. The place was somewhat clean, my bed was messed up and had hair in it on checkin. I called and they quickly came and fixed the issue. I just felt the housekeeping could have prevented this by checking before I checked in. It is a bit pricey, expect that.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a nice hotel to stay in, right across the street from Oracle Park if you're gonna see a Giants game. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, especially Jamel at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed in my family was taken care of, thank you for being such a wonderful part of our experience at the Hyatt. our next trip to San Francisco will definitely will be staying here.

Tess B.

Yelp
We had a great stay at the Hyatt Place. The staff was super friendly and helpful (I wish I had their names so I can give them a shoutout). One of the front desk guys personally walked me and my son to my room to help with our door. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Proximity to the ballpark and train station was perfect! We requested a high floor and I'm glad because it was very loud outside. Only dropping it one star because it was kinda pricey but I guess that may be the norm for an SF hotel.
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Pros: great location next to Oracle Park, amazing staff who did an incredible job remembering my name and who were genuinely nice, edible free breakfast (most aren't), and a nice bar and lobby sitting area. Cons: elevator capacity -- it's low anyway and then they block off one elevator for the rooftop restaurant and put service people in guest elevators so it's insufferably slow. Parking $85/night during events and I think $75/night normally. Bartender was nice but moved in semi-slow motion which doesn't work post-event. Bar was closed Sunday night after a concert which wasn't great, either. I'm netting to 4 stars largely because of the staff. The elevator issue was dead unacceptable
google avatar

Daniel F.

Yelp
The hotel was clean, modern, and conveniently accessible from Caltrain. Our room was spacious, featuring a king-sized bed, sofa, hutch, and desk. The staff was pleasant and accommodated us by holding our bags until check-in. The bed was comfortable--neither too firm nor too soft. Noise levels were reasonable; the double-paned windows muffled most, though not all, external sounds. My only suggestion would be to include breakfast in the stay; charging extra feels somewhat miserly.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I love staying at Hyatt Place because they rarely disappoint and this location was no exception. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The on-site parking is very expensive at $85 a day and that parking is limited. There is a parking garage right across the street that is significantly cheaper but don't listen to the staff if they tell you that you can park there for $30 a day. Technically it's true but only if you park your car and take other transportation. If you leave you'll be charged at the regular rate of $5 per 30 minutes with a maximum of $30. They also lock that garage from midnight to 6am with no way for you to get in or out. The room we had was clean and pretty spacious. Our room had been particularly upgraded but no bells and whistles. One bed was very noisy and everyone knew when you moved around. I almost forgot the breakfast. It was delicious and changed daily. I don't know how they make those potatoes but they need to post the recipe. I should also mention that the breakfast is free with your stay. I definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
This s a good hotel at a great location, with lots of restaurants and bars as expected given the proximity to the sports arenas. Checkin was fast and easy, the staff was very friendly. The rooms were functional, decent size, and well set up. The gym was surprisingly big and well equipped given the size of the hotel.

Yelp
Easy comfortable, professional kind staff. Took the cal train to the last stop and walked to the Hyatt. Easy walking to ball park and restaurants. Excellent safe, neighborhood.

Yelp
In a great area, rooms are clean and comfy, and walking distance from a bunch of great places. There is also a great restaurant right next door!!

Yelp
A modern hotel for a modern world. Hyatt Place was built in 2018 and designed with today's traveler in mind. We picked this hotel for its proximity to Oracle Park and its comparatively reasonable rates. Our room had modern furniture and decor, a mini-fridge (but no microwave), coffee maker, TV, safe, desk, couch next to the bed, good temperature controls, and so many power outlets and USB charging ports (I counted 10 USB ports around the room). The free WiFi was fast enough for streaming. We slept in late because there are blackout shades that totally work! I wish this was a standard feature in hotel rooms. On the downside, noise isolation wasn't the best - the walls and front door let some noise through, particularly from the hallway. And the bathroom lacked a ventilation fan, so things got a bit smelly in there. The hotel has a good sized fitness center with 7 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 2 stationary bikes, a couple weight machines, and free weights up to 50lbs. The courtyard has a covered area with tables and a long fire pit, great for kicking back or enjoying a meal. There's also a terrific lounge and a terrace with a balcony view. In the morning, the free breakfast included potatoes, scrambled eggs (powdered), sausage, toast, bagels, English muffins, cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and more. About middle of the road, but you can't beat free. Parking is really expensive (it's SF, after all), but since we came from South Bay, we parked in Millbrae and took BART to SF to save money. Overall, we were happy with the amenities and had a pleasant stay here - mainly because it didn't break the bank!

Maruko X.

Yelp
The Hyatt Place is conveniently located in downtown SF area, though they charge insanely $75 per day for parking on top of the room rate. The space for king size bed is very compact, and the room is so much smaller than similar Hyatt I've stayed at. Let alone the cleanness is lack of satisfaction, there's other people hair left in the seems unused cup, and very gross coffee maker, though the gym and dining area still look nice, the quality of breakfast is terrible, bananas should have been threw away and replaced long time ago, and the mold blueberry in my bowl is disgusting.
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
This place is so much better than the pictures. I was worried I would be staying at a bland corporate box, but took a chance because it was right across from Oracle Park. I stayed here two nights while I attended the Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants games. The staff was polite, and very helpful. When I arrived on Tuesday I was able to check in early. I booked a king room, stayed on the 9th floor with easy access to the gym and roof. Breakfast was free and that is unbeatable, the check out process was easy and pleasant. This location can't be beat, anywhere I wanted to go was walking distance from the hotel. Overall my experience was EXCELLENT! I would definitely stay here again, thank you for the hospitality!

Deanna B.

Yelp
The staff was AMAZING. Now the room was another story. My room was 232 directly above the entrance to the rooftop bar. Being on a business trip and not knowing there were giants games each night of my stay the noise went on past midnight every night. You can also hear the loud banging of ypur neighbors door closing all hours of the night. Hotel was sold out so I couldn't change rooms. Also the shower tile could use a better cleaning.
google avatar

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about my stay here, where do I even begin?! We were placed on the 8th floor and loved the view of the SF skyline. The room itself was top notch- very clean, bathroom was spacious with new ammenities. The convenience factor of this hotel was a huge plus. There's a rooftop bar (Kaiyo) with a great view of the city. You just have to take the elevator up, how easy is that! The free bfast was actually really good for hotel bfast. There were lots of options and the dining space was so clean and modern. Safeway is also only a 5 min walk away. The service really tied together our trip. Every staff we talked to seemed happy to work there. From checkin to checkout everything went so seamless. I wish my stay at every hotel could be as great as this!

Janelle M.

Yelp
Overall, this place is nice. But there's some downsides to it. The tile in the shower is dirty and the blackout curtains are ripped. However, the staff were amazing and super friendly!

Lee H.

Yelp
This hotel really met our needs. We celebrated NYE with fireworks on San Francisco's Embarcadero and this hotel was close by. Nice check-in and housekeeping staff, great breakfast and coffee in the morning that cost us $14 per person and was totally worth it. They've got a cozy outdoor patio with a fireplace. This was our second stay here and we'd definitely return. Oracle Park is just across the street.

Yelp
Nabih the night manager made it his business to ruin my night. I came back after outside lands to my hotel but didn't have the key and my friend didn't put my name on the room. She tried calling and adding my name and doing everything she could but he wouldn't let me in. He insulted me repeatedly and made it very clear that I wouldn't be able to get my things or get another room to sleep in because the hotel was fully booked. He basically tried to throw me on the street. I am honestly appalled that he works in hospitality.

Yelp
I have stayed at Hyatt hotels before. This location is in a very convenient part of sf...it's close to parks, bars, restaurants, grocery stores and pretty safe. The room was relatively clean. I always bring my own wipes & sanitizer for extra cleanliness. I was disappointed to see how much dust was in the room. The telephone didn't work at all. To my surprise there was no access to the fitness center, no access to the outside patio, and no bar access. I wish that was communicated to me when I called ahead before booking the room. The hotel staff was disengaged and not personable. When I checked in, I had trouble with the door and carrying my things; still...no one helped me. I was disappointed with my stay, but since the location was great and it was relatively clean... I give them some credit. Valet parking is $65/$70 but there's a better option near Safeway for 24 hour garage parking.

Nicole C.

Yelp
I would give a zero star if I could. Terrible service. We were ushered to our seats by the wait staff and seated with water and then some one came over and asked if we had a reservation and asked us to leave, party of 5, and as we got to the reservation counter, they let someone in without a reservation to take our seats. We were wearing giants clothing coming from a winning game and wanting to spend a couple hundred dollar at the rough top bar but were turned away thinking we wouldn't be spending enough money. There was an open table but they decided to give it away to someone else they thought bought spend more money. Jokes on you because we would have most likely spent more money then the table you seated to someone else and you embarrassed us after your staff already seated us. We will not come back to any Hyatt to be potentially embarrassed for being sent to a seat by wait staff. Bot worth the embarrassment and overpriced food and drink. I am shocked by being judged after being seated because someone else might pay more.

Monique C.

Yelp
First time staying at a Hyatt and honestly it will be my last. First off they double charged me for my stay. When I told the manager she said the refund will take over a week. I asked her for Hyatts corporate number and she said they don't have one when clearly they do. Then they sold out of parking at 1:30. Luckily there is nearby parking (by a different company) that was available and reasonably priced. Their elevator kept taking us to the wrong floor. We had to scan our keys card 3 times to get to the correct floor. There were stains on the couch in our room and the ac filter cover is broken and hanging down. For the price you pay to stay here they shouldn't have things in the room falling apart. I should have just booked with Hilton like I usually do.

Yelp
I had a rare kid-free weekend and decided that a quick trip to the city was in order. I saw that the Hyatt Place is a fairly new hotel and it's near the water so I quickly booked it. Excellent choice! I honestly love everything about this hotel. They did a great job with the decor, my room was clean, my bed was cozy and the employees were very friendly. My ONLY gripe is they did not adequately soundproof for street noise. I was on the 10th floor and definitely did not sleep well. In comparison, I've stayed in Times Square and slept like a baby. You really can't beat the location if you are in town for a Giants game or concert at Oracle Park or if you're attending a conference at the Moscone Center. And of course there are restaurants nearby and even a Lucky Strike across the street. All in all, I definitely recommend Hyatt Place...but only if you have noise-canceling headphones (or are deaf).

Yelp
Tiny room on the 7th floor. Not sure why they thought to throw a foldout couch in along with the bed- you wouldn't be able to open it if you tried. You have to climb over the table to get to the bed. Shower is old. In need of an update. Soap, shampoo and other amenities are meh. Phone doesn't work well. TV viewing options weak. No room service, but you can use door dash, just be prepared to walk down to the lobby to pick up. Service here is minimal- like they hand you a key and you are on your own for the rest of your stay. Looks like most people who stay in this shit hole are here for business. Hyatt, you could do better. Won't stay here again.

Yelp
We recently stayed the night at the Hyatt Place SF Downtown to attend a concert at Oracle Park. Unfortunately, while we were at the concert, multiple rooms on multiple levels were broken into and many guests rooms were gone through and personal items stolen. We had wallets and car keys stolen. We believe it was a hotel employee, but the hotel staff won't give us any information. We discovered that the hotel guest room doors appear to close and lock, but the latches don't fully engage allowing anybody to access the rooms. The hotel management has not accepted responsibility and they are withholding information making it difficult for us to know the extent of what happened. I am happy to update this review if the hotel assumes liability and covers the guests losses, but it doesn't appear that will happen. I would recommend staying at another hotel or just know your room is accessible to anybody at any time.

Yelp
With the hubby working part time in SF now, I found this Hyatt as the closest to his office. I booked a corner suite for this particular week. It was nicely appointed and spacious enough. Super comfortable bed and nice linens. Helpful and friendly front desk staff. They seem to remember you when you go in and out which is nice. There's a downstairs bar. I wish that they opened a little earlier than 5:30pm but there are plenty of other choices within a minute walk of the hotel. According to my husband there's a decent complimentary breakfast. The area surrounding the hotel is not as sketchy as other parts of the city. Bonus: there's a Safeway about a 10 minute walk down the street. Though I generally like to stay a little closer to shopping, this hotel is a good choice, especially for business travelers or if you're going to a sporting event. I'm sure I'll stay here again.

Yelp
Wow still a great location! Some update about their amenities. PARKING: $85 a night. They have a small garage that holds up to 12 cars on a first come first serve basis, so don't expect any on a baseball game day. ALTERNATIVELY, there's a garage a block away called The Beacon that charges $30/night on non baseball game days and up to $80 on game days. BREAKFAST: Breakfast is back!! On weekdays, it's 6:30-9:30am and on weekends, it's 7-10am. FITNESS GYM: Gym changed their hours to 6am-10pm because they're on the 9th floor. HOUSEKEEPING: Daily cleaning is also back! I prefer to be eco-friendly so I put up my Do Not Disturb sign to skip cleaning and only request towels when needed. Go green!

Yelp
One of the amazing hotels that I stayed in. Their employees are awesome, very customer oriented and helpful. Will definitely stay there again and will let family and friends know about them! You won't regret staying there.

Yelp
Great modern hotel next to Oracle Park. Excellent location. Super nice modern comfy rooms. Really great staff... I mean everyone was kind and accommodating. Nice bar and breakfast... will be our go to in SF from now on. FYI the garage across the street was $30 a day if you don't go in and out. Steal...

Yelp
Positives: room was clean, TV remote worked, close to ballpark Negatives: communication from front desk 1) have limited parking available, first come- first serve, never was this mentioned until we went to check in- and no parking available! They do not validate either!!! 2) phone in room didn't work, directions to work phone at front desk (not in room, and still didn't work after going to front desk and them telling me directions- no one came up to check) 3) ice machine (which didn't work) is on 9th floor only! Went to get ice, then to front desk (told then where ice machine was), went to 9th floor- where machine was not working, went back to lobby and ignored by staff (I was interrupting their story), slammed ice bucket down on counter and was then helped 4) Need to use room key to work elevator, which would have been nice to have known before getting into elevator! 5) breakfast stops serving at 9:30, not 10:30 as we were told by manager 6) rooftop bar AND GRILL stops serving food AND need to take elevator around the corner of building to get to it 7) need I say more...

Yelp
Only opened 2 weeks ago the Hyatt Place I am dubbing the Sudden Impact Hotel as it is built on the old Acorn Restaurant where the famous scene-in Sudden Impact occurred where he pointed a gun at a thief and said "Make My Day". Although I am sad to see the old diner turned McDonalds go away, the hotel is a nice touch to the area and very convenient for out of towners visiting and wanting to see a baseball game across the street at Oracle Park. The hotel is brand new so it has some kinks that management will need to work on. The grout in the bathrooms will need to see some bleach on a more regular basis as I noticed it already starting to turn color. Additionally the lobby while chic needs to turn down the bright and sharp lighting at night. It feels very cold and un welcoming at 1am after a late night dinner and then bowling a few frames across the street at Lucky Strike. The rooms are going to get a lot of usage so it will be interesting to see how the hotel ages through the seasons As they say, it is all about Location, Location, Location.

Yelp
This hotel is a skip and a hop from HWY 280 and is located half a block from Oracle Ballpark. Decor is contemporary and the room was immaculate. Huge plus for having a cozy rooftop cocktail bar and they offer a variety of delicious Japanese/Peruvian fusion foods. The main purpose for this review is the impeccable customer service delivered by front desk concierge Simon. He was very welcoming and knowledgable; answered all check-in inquiries with patience and thoroughness. A solid five stars for customer service and hotel amenities. The only caveat is the limited parking spots in the hotel garage hence a first come first serve basis at $85/day. A nearby option is the Beacon/Safeway garage at $30/day - however, no in and out privilege. Good choice if you don't need your car for the duration of your hotel stay.

Yelp
Great customer service, good location for our purposes, medical procedure at UCSFMC mission bay. The neighborhood felt safe and there were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Room was quiet...except for other guests who don't seem to realize that allowing the room doors to slam disturb other guests....and no difficulty sleeping. Breakfast included is a positive and the staff again are definitely customer oriented. Housekeeping especially good, really appreciate the freshly made bed and clean towels.

Yelp
Good for concert nearby. Strange bartender. Uses fingers to grab cherry for old fashioned. Stares like a zombie and pretty creepy vibes. Service at kaiyo was good, but when they change servers it gets slow and they new server has no idea what you're waiting on. To get to rooftop for Kaiyo, you need to go to first floor than wait for someone to go up to rooftop. Such an odd inconvenience as a guest. I don't want to stay here again.

Yelp
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place in downtown San Francisco. We were welcomed by Vagish at the front desk. He made us feel at home, made sure we had everything that we needed and that we knew where we were going, while we were visiting the city. If you need a comfortable and welcoming place to stay the next time you're in San Francisco, the Hyatt Place is there for you. Thank you Vagish! We look forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Love this place!!! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The lobby is clean and welcoming. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area with tables and couches and fire pits. We had a blast at the lobby bar, the drinks were nice & strong and the bartender was hilarious to chat with. The room was clean and smelled good. I don't know if I was just super tired or if the bed was really that comfortable, but I knocked out and slept sooo good! We had breakfast the next morning, it was very clean and had a lot of options! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I'm just bummed that I didn't get pictures to prove it.
