Yelp
I stayed here for four nights, so I feel like I can give a fair review. Note: this is a CONFERENCE hotel, not a vacation hotel. Just be warned that if you are a casual traveler (I was here for work but not a conference), you may be stuck with 1,200 middle aged conference goers like I was. And those people liked to PARTY and party LOUD.
This is an older hotel, but it's been updated some. Everyone loves the elevators (and they are stunning to look at), but there aren't enough of them for 1,200 people so during prime time you may be waiting forever for an elevator.
The rooms: I had a 2 queen bed with a balcony room. The balcony was tiny, but I'm scared of heights and didn't go out there. The beds were okay-ish for comfort, but a bit soft for me. Same with the pillows. The room was CLEAN, but it was clearly in need of TLC--chipped paint, stained and threadbare carpet, etc. The shower had zero water pressure, practically, and the sinks were hilariously poorly designed. When you wash your hands water goes all over the counter.
Amenities in room are sparse because this is a CONFERENCE hotel and they want you to expense everything. You get a Keurig, k-cups, a couple of cups, and a fridge. There's an in-room safe if that is your thing, as well. Oh and if you want to pay $4 for a bottle of water, they've got you covered in the room. There's bare bones live TV and also a constantly malfunctioning Chromecast option. Wifi is spotty at times.
There are 3 dining options in the restaurant--a market with grab and go options, $4 sodas, etc. I suppose you could microwave the grab and go options in the janky microwave in the hallway? There is also a bar that serves food (the food is fine) that conference goers love to mingle in and get loud in. Note: rooms face this open central area, so the drunker you get the louder your room is. There's also a Southern restarant that also offers a $30 breakfast buffet. I had it. It was meh. I think dinner is far better.
You do have other options, though, thanks to the ample skybridges to other hotels, a CVS, a food court with various fast food options, etc. Just be warned it's a bit of a labrynth.
I didn't use it, but parking is $60/day (!!!). They also have an outdoor pool that is open seasonally.
Service is impeccable at this hotel, which is pretty amazing considering the crowds they attract. It's centrally located, as well.
The other reviews warning about homeless folks are correct, but I didn't find them overly pushy. If you've been to any large city and survived, you'll be prepared.
Overall: if someone else was paying for it, I'd stay here again.
