We stayed at Hyatt Regency Tamaya from October 3–5 to celebrate both our anniversary and birthday, and it truly turned into one of the most memorable weekends we’ve had in a long time.||From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the peaceful beauty of New Mexico — the warm adobe-style buildings, mountain views, and the serene atmosphere immediately set the tone. Even though the weekend was very busy with a wedding and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, the staff managed to make our stay feel calm and personal.||We were hoping for a suite upgrade as Globalists, but since everything was sold out, it wasn’t possible — yet what happened instead was even more special. Adam Dodge (Associate Director of Operations) and Claudia Wattenberg (General Manager) went above and beyond to make sure we still felt celebrated. When we walked into our room, we found a beautiful surprise — a chilled bottle of Gruet champagne on ice, delicious snacks, and thoughtful welcome gifts. The next day, another wonderful surprise awaited us — a large, beautifully arranged charcuterie board with cheeses, crackers, olives, dried fruits, nuts, and a bottle of Malbec wine. Everything was presented with such care that it really felt like we were being treated as family, not just guests.||One of the most relaxing moments of our stay was at the Tamaya Spa. The atmosphere there is incredibly peaceful — earthy tones, natural decor, and a warm, genuine sense of calm. We weren’t aware that Globalists receive complimentary spa access, but it was such a pleasant surprise to learn that. After enjoying some peaceful time at the spa and soaking in the outdoor hot tub under the blue sky, Olivia from the spa staff came to us with a small gift bag of skincare treats — including Eminence samples, bath salt, a steam eye mask, and even a few little extras like tea and lip balm. It was such a sweet and personal touch that left a lasting impression.||Throughout our stay, every corner of the resort reflected thoughtful design — from the cozy lobby with its Santa Ana Café mural, to the rustic decor, Native-inspired rugs and artwork, and even the small touches like infused water with lemon and mint near the spa. Everything had that authentic Southwestern charm that makes this property so unique.||Breakfast was nice, and we especially appreciated Jacqueline, who stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our meal — she was so warm and kind, and it truly felt genuine. The buffet had a good selection, though many dishes were on the spicy side (understandably, this is New Mexico!). For guests who don’t eat spicy food, a few milder choices would be appreciated, but everything was fresh and beautifully presented.||All in all, our weekend at Hyatt Regency Tamaya was filled with kindness, beauty, and memorable moments. The setting is breathtaking, the spa is pure relaxation, and the staff — especially Adam, Claudia, Olivia, and Jacqueline — made us feel truly cared for. Even without the suite upgrade, their hospitality made our celebration feel every bit as special.||We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for a place that combines nature, culture, and heartfelt service, Tamaya is that place. 🌅💛
