Such a lovely stay during our visit to Albuquerque-Santa Fe area with our family. Suite offered connecting rooms perfect for traveling w two teens, and was right next to the main pool with mountain view. Enjoyed lunch and drinks by the pool, breakfast daily at the Santa Ana Cafe, and dinner most nights at the lounge. Borrowed bikes to visit the horses at the nearby stables and really enjoyed the authentic Pueblo bread making class—worth the added fee, in my opinion. And the bread was yummy! S’mores nightly were a nice touch and the rooms were recently renovated—really fresh and clean, while still a pretty Southwest decor. There were other families while we were there (babies through teens) but also couples and adult groups. Resort felt busy, but never crowded. We had plenty of space at the pool each day and never had to wait for a table at restaurants. And the staff was friendly and attentive throughout—poolside, restaurants, registration, bar, and store. They were particularly helpful when we checked in and couldn’t get our AC to work and then later when we locked ourselves out of our connecting room. |We explored area national park sites (Bandelier, Pecos, Valles Caldera) and even visited a Pueblo for their feast day and experienced their Corn Dance. Hope we can find a reason to get back to New Mexico again soon and would definitely stay at Tamaya when we return!

Our stay at the Tamaya Resort was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you instantly relax. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering every comfort we could need.||||The staff went above and beyond—always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The resort’s amenities, from the pool to the dining options, were top-notch, and we loved the unique cultural touches that made our visit feel truly special.||||If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with exceptional service and a beautiful setting, Tamaya Resort is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful resort! Rooms are decorated in a Pueblo style and there’s native art throughout. Natural wood incense filters in the lobby, and at night bonfires are accompanied by free s’more kits! Live music in the casual lounge and good food. Pools kept kids amused two days. The only downside is the poolside drinks and food. The burger and chicken sandwich were generous but just ok. The chips and queso? Chips were “end of the bag” broken and the queso was so bland even the kids found it boring. The real disappointment was the hoagie. Four thin cheap slices of turkey and two slices of Swiss on a bun for $15??? It was so cheap and bad I tossed the hoagie top and folded the bottom just to make it seem like more. The kicker? We ordered ham and cheddar but got turkey Swiss. Since the waiter didn’t come for our order we just ate it. Bad service. Take your own food to poolside, because their food is awful and embarrassingly overpriced.

I love the Tamaya Resort and as a local, I go for staycations as often as I can. If you can get the mountain view rooms, the view is gorgeous, but you can get that view all over the resort, so any room will be good if you make use of the property. ||||A couple of tips for fussy travelers like me. This is listed as a 4 star resort, but it misses the mark on a few luxury details that are standard in other 4 star Hyatt hotels like the Thompson brands. Some pros/cons below: ||-room coffee experience is less than it could be. Typical keurig type coffee in the cheap plastic coffee makers, disposable cups. I get that providing ceramic mugs and glasses creates a lot of extra housekeeping work, but it makes the experience so much more pleasurable. It's a gorgeous resort with gorgeous views. I'd love to have delicious coffee in a real mug to enjoy my mornings. So...I bring my own hot pot to boil water, a travel pour-over, and my own mug. I live nearby so it's not an extra effort for that little detail. ||-no robes or slippers that often come in 4 start resorts. If these are important, bring your own.||-mini fridge in the room is helpful||-lots of storage for clothes, luggage||-rooms are fairly quiet, and not a lot of hallway/room noise, though I do always request rooms far from the elevator, and maybe I've been lucky, YMMV||-Very comfortable beds/pillows for my taste. I love that there are no gross blankets or bed covers, decorations. It's all sheet wrapped. Room chairs/seating area is very comfortable. ||-Toiletries are very nice. I typically hate hotel lotion/soaps etc. Theirs are not overly scented. Bathrooms and showers are nice, but would love a tub! The toiletry kits in the bathroom actually contain a nail polish remover cloth which came in handy during one stay. I was so happy they had it. Rare to find this type of thing provided. ||||I keep meaning to try the spa, but haven't made it there yet. ||||The pools are great. I typically go to the main one even though I usually prefer quiet. There are always kids and adults enjoying the slide, playing games, etc. It's a wonderful family friendly environment. there's a separate private "quiet" pool if you choose. ||||Staff is sooo friendly. In the current "can't be bothered" service environment that is so common these days. The hotel really shines here. ||||N.B., if you don't run a few cycles of water through your hotel coffee makers, I recommend doing so. One stay, my coffee maker didn't work properly when I did the pre-rinse the night before, and I was able to have it quickly replaced with a text. ||||The property is gorgeous and unique. There is no place like Tamaya!

Rooms were lovely. Comfy beds and nice pillows. and Salt water pools were amazing. Food at room service was such a disappointment! Bring your own food or eat before. Lots of neat stuff on resort grounds: golf course, several restaurants, local artisans, bar and coffee shop, stables, walking and biking trails, cultural center tours and more. Santa Ana Pueblo land.

We will definitely be coming back! Sister golf courses are located here as well, Twin Warriors is within walking distance

We had such a lovely stay at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort during our visit to the Albuquerque–Santa Fe area with our family! Highly recommend!

Excellent experience from check in to check out. The hotel and grounds are beautiful with amazing views. Extremely polite staff who were all very helpful and ensured our stay was memorable.||The entire resort is spotless and it’s obvious the Hyatt staff take pride in this property.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Tamaya for a 3 night stay recently and I really loved the property. It's about a 30 minute drive from the downtown ABQ area which is really not a bad drive at all. The location is so peaceful and quiet. They have some beautiful views from the rooms and just on the outskirts of the property are some beautiful walking trails. The rooms themselves really aren't anything special as they are a little outdated but the bed was really nice and having the patio was really nice too. The jacuzzi was amazing! Another amazing component of this hotel is the staff. All of the staff here were incredible and very welcoming and accommodating. If you are thinking about making a trip to ABQ then I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Yelp
This property is absolutely gorgeous. BUT... I would not recommend it unless you can waist days here, can eat what ever you want... I have a ton of allergies let me start with that. Lettuce, legumes- any soy products what so ever, almonds, and so much more. That is to start. We were told at the front desk that they give out s'mores for two and eat them by the fire pits outside. When I asked the guy at the front counter, he repeated "they are just graham crackers", and I let him know that they are not; that every brand has different ingredients and there is only one brand that I've ever been able to eat... and he repeated him self at me again. I let the head manager know this morning and I still don't know what's in them. the server at breakfast seemed to be accommodating but at t lunch was a different story. I explained that I was allergic to almost everything on the lunch menu and was wondering if I could order from the dinner menu- hoping I could find something light. I could have the burger at lunch but that is way too much grease on my stomach so early in the day. The server told me that they don't prepare "dinner" items till after lunch. (I'm thinking - so they don't have anything that I could have and now have to wait till dinner to eat? Frustrated; I got the salmon, caper cream cheese and bagel. I couldn't have anything else that was on the plate and after eating a couple bites, the caper cream cheese was strong to say the least, thought I was eating radish it was so strong. They didn't charge me for this which is nice but still frustrating and still hungry. After lunch I hurried to the spa. My husband had made a couples message and had to already change that. They didn't have it in their computer for us to do this even though my husband's confirmation said otherwise. They rescheduled his apt because his massage therapist called out sick. So we checked in so we could use the services provided there and the lady waived me back. I changed and was 30 minutes early. I waited in the relaxation room and after 45 minutes of waiting, I went back to my locker and there was a message in my phone. My massage person had left me a message and my husband also. By the time he got to the spa, I had come up to the front and asked what was going on. The massage person told me that they hadn't checked me in, and that if I wanted to continue, she could give me a 20 minute massage. I've had massages before many times, and. A 20 minute massage won't make a difference on my body. My husband canceled his apt because of this. They say they arnt going to charge us. The only reason we came out to this property is because of the spa - and they messed up big time. Now I'm wondering if we should switch hotels for the remainder of our trip? NOW, we did a horse tour that is owned by someone else but since they are right behind the resort, the hotel offers it on their amenities to do. We did a two hour trip that had us, our horses and our tour guy. This part was amazing. It was like 5 miles of beautiful hills and mountains, a gorgeous landscape to watch. I would do the stables again and again.

Yelp
I only got to stay here for one night, so I did not get to take advantage of all this resort had to offer. The place is bigger than I expected - with the stable and trails, etc. Some pools were closed at the time, but I did get to swim in the circle one and soak in the hot one. If I come back, I'd give myself more time to participate in their activities, like s'mores at 7 PM or dream catcher-making (this has an additional fee). I was offered online check in on the Hyatt app, but it didn't work bc I had to go to the front desk anyway. That process lasted no more than five minutes. Checking out was easy bc I could do it online. The room was clean although there was a spider on the ceiling. I did not have any meals nor eat anything on the property. Self-parking is free. The small fitness center is open 24/7. The spa is open every day of the week but has varying hours, which are posted everywhere. This resort is about 30 min driving from the ABQ airport. After you turn at the last signal, it's another two-ish miles to get to the entrance of the hotel. I would recommend driving with caution at night. It's pitch black. The reason I feel this is a getaway for families is the amount of activities geared for children and the fact that I saw so many kids everywhere. It's definitely a beautiful hotel and smells nice everywhere. It did not give luxury vibes. Because it's so far away from city life, I feel it's a good option to "getaway".

Yelp
Beautiful campus, lackluster rooms. Came by to overnight for a conference. The facilities for the conference were about average for a higher-end hotel, with the food being above average and the sound insulation in the conference room being below average. Our room was pretty disappointing. It had an exterior door on one end and a glass door to a patio on another, and the interior was positively frigid when we arrived. The only blanket available in the room was the extra blanket boxed up in the closet. Increasing the temperature on the thermostat was little use. Beyond issues with temperature, the contents of the room were below average for Tamaya's price point. The toilet paper was dry and rough, and the bath and shower were what one might expect at an ordinary hotel.

Yelp
We didn't stay here but we enjoyed the restaurant and adult pool. They have a really cool family pool with waters slides that look fun as heck! This hotel/resort is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the scenery and golfing. The service is top notch and the staff are all so friendly and helpful.

Yelp
The setting is as beautiful as ever - 5 stars. But, it's slipped in a couple of areas since my first visit 20 years ago. The food is 2-3 at best, and they're missing a lot of the little touches that used to make the stay special and would rate 4-5 stars. Expect clean rooms in a beautiful setting. I'm giving it 3 stars because the overall experience doesn't match the rate.

Yelp
Had the pleasure to come here for a quick getaway in March. This resort is super secluded, I had no clue that it was away from everything a good couple miles to get here from the main street. Check in process was easy, Kareem was super friendly and provided great service. I ended up getting a king room with the view. The room was a little small for my liking but overall it was fine. The property itself is really nice, especially once you go outside and see the gorgeous view of the mountains, wow it was so serene and just breathtaking. The pools here are really nice and heated but sadly didn't get to use this amenity it was a little cold. I didn't get a chance to go to the spa but I walked around the property and had the pleasure to see their Stables, the stables is a non profit horse rescue organization that they have on their property. There is a fee to go horseback riding. I was able to visit the stable and feed the animals, I loved it, it's well maintained and the animals are well cared for. I wasn't a fan of their restaurant on property, we ordered the shrimp, pizza, stuffed dates and chips/dip it was okay. I really loved the fire pit and the smores which are complimentary. It was a really nice treat to end the night. I also needed some assistance and Kareem went above and beyond to assist me and get me what I needed, I really appreciated him and his kindness to make sure my stay was the best and I have to say he did exactly that. I am truly grateful for his service and overall he went above and beyond. Oh also they have activities each day on property, I believe some you have to pay for and some are complimentary. We ended up doing the bread tasting holy moly, the pueblo bread with the different butters were freaking awesomeeeee. I swear I wish I could eat the whole loaf of bread and take all the butters home, the cinnamon, the spicy, wow. It was quite the experience. I will never forget my experience here at this property, views are unbelievable.

Yelp
Our week-long stay at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico was nothing short of exceptional. As a family of eight, finding accommodations that cater to everyone's needs can be challenging, but this resort proved to be the perfect choice. Arrival and check in was extremely smooth - I absolutely love how secluded the resort is having to drive off the main road to get there. The standout feature was undoubtedly the outstanding service we received. Mark Harris went above and beyond, ensuring our stay was nothing short of remarkable. A special mention to our server, John Valencia, whose attentiveness and hospitality enhanced our dining experiences. (We literally asked him if he would come back to New York with us) The pool area was a blast, offering fun for all ages, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy quality family time. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, providing a welcoming retreat after adventurous days exploring the resort's offerings. One unique highlight was the on-site farm, adding a charming touch to the overall experience. You can tell that each animal was extremely cared for. And for the active members of our family, the biking trail provided endless fun and adventure. The biggest perk is that it is pet friendly. As a new dog mom, it is so important to me to be able to bring my puppy with me. The staff was extremely cautious of keeping her safe and ensuring we were comfortable. The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa left an indelible impression on us. It's a place where comfort, adventure, and impeccable service converge, making it the ideal destination for a family vacation. Our stay was made unforgettable by the dedicated staff, ensuring we left with cherished memories.

Yelp
Absolute yes. This place is fantastic from start to finish. From the time you arrive you are immersed into the culture, landscape and energy of the surrounding area. The history is felt and presented through the resort, and you really learn so much from the exhibits and displays. The staff was friendly no matter where you saw them on the property. The stables show a true love for their animals, and they support a great charity as well with items for sale in the check in area at the rodeo side. The rooms are spacious and well-kept and the entire property is clean and meticulously maintained. Check out the show times and ensure you try to make some of the bread! The pools are also a must visit while you're there with an excellent slide that is well hidden to keep the aesthetic. Overall: A+ This resort is impeccable and worth the money for a great stay!

Yelp
A really beautiful property. Loved the views of the mountains. Lovely walking trails around the property. For the golfer the course looks great! They have an on-site restaurant with good food. Service was wonderful at the restaurant. They also have a Starbucks in the property. Then there's the pools and a water slide. Hot tub where if you call the hotel they will deliver drinks to you if the snack bar is open. Fire pits at night... ask the front desk and they will give you a s'mores kit (no extra charge). The weather in the fall is gorgeous!! Beds are super comfortable!! All around a great property!!

Yelp
This resort is located in a beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while also being a short distance from both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The staff are very helpful, kind and professional. I really enjoyed the selection of swimming pools and I swam in each of them during my stay. This is a great place to visit for individuals, couples, families or even large groups or conferences. Recommended!

Yelp
Stayed 3-nights at Hyatt Regency Tamaya NM in December 2022. As Hyatt Globalist member, we received a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite. 750+ sq ft. the sitting room has a pull out sofa and connects to either a room with a king or a room with two queens. Two bathrooms. Big shout out to Mark Harris, Director of Rooms for making special arrangements and for making our trip very memorable. Thank you for the complimentary welcome amenity. As a Hyatt Globalist Member. We received benefits such as; Free Breakfast. Buffet option is also available. We also requested for a microwave in the room and it was complimentary for Globalist members. Spa: Free daily access to the spa facility with Globalist status. Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room included. The jacuzzi includes a standing water jet for hydro therapy. Resort Fees $34/night (waived with Globalist) include bike cruiser and helmets. Parking and Destination fees are waived. Smores upon request. Highlight of the property is the Tamaya Stables (a non-profit horse rescue organization) on the property. Our 10 year old signed up for a 90 min horseback riding group tour ($90+gratuity). This is the first Hyatt property we have stayed with horseback riding experience. Views and scenery are amazing. I also noticed how bright the stars are at night. Pools are open and heated, but we did not see anyone use the pool. It's very cold to go out and swim during this trip. Overall a memorable experience with great Globalist recognition on this property. Highly recommend. We will be back again to stay at this property when we are in the area.

Yelp
In the words of Buddy the Elf, "BEAUTIFUL!" From the moment we drove down the road to the second we pulled up in their roundabout we were mesmerized. Tamaya is just gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. When we pulled up to the valet area, the guy who helped us seemed a little confused but he got it figured out after a while and we went to check in. The check in employees were very welcoming and friendly and the ambiance of the lobby area was calm and inviting. The artwork and the exquisite artifacts from the Pueblo of Santa Ana reminds you that you are indeed, on Native land. From our walk through the lobby to our room, we were mesmerized by the decor. The murals, artwork, color choices on the walls, the carpet, even the building itself felt very relaxing. And when we entered our room, it felt so welcoming we almost didn't want to leave. Everything was clean, the linens were fresh, it was exactly what we have grown to love about Hyatt hotels. The hotels we have stayed at within this hotel chain are at a higher level than most. Always clean & spotless, and our room at Tamaya was no exception. It was immaculate. I LOVE hotels where I don't need to worry about re-cleaning, spraying down and wiping EVERYTHING! This one was at a much higher level than most of the ones we stayed at during our roadtrip and is my favorite hotel so far. And the bed... *le-sigh* sooooo fluffy and comfortable. We had a good view and were felt extremely refreshed and comfortable here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stunning hotel. Thank you to everyone who made our stay great from beginning to end. And ALOHA to da braddah from Kauai at da valet. Mahalo nui for being so nice, was good talking to you. A hui hou, Tamaya, see you again soon.

Yelp
I'm trying to catch up on several trips. I was off island for two and half weeks, no time between a presenting at a energy psychology conference with my colleague and Las Vegas business trip with two brothers along for the ride. This place is hidden in the hills of Santa Ana with somewhat of a mystical ambiance. They have Pueblo culture activities and museum. A Gift shop, restaurants, small everything store (snack, sandwiches, gifts, etc.), and craft/cooking classes. They have horse back riding and mile long hiking trail next to Rio Grand River...nice and serene! Hotel staff were so accommodating ... provide free bottles of water, can order through housekeeping.free too. The rooms are very nice with coffee, tea, refrigerator, and safe. Forewarning, those soft lovely pillows a downy (goose feather) pillows. Everyday I had a mean allergic reaction before discovering a feather on my last day. Everyone is so accommodating. At night, they have a bonfire which front desk has a bag of chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers with a long stick for each guest. These guys thought of everything. This is the Hyatt...check the prices. I had roomed for free if I did an hour presentation back to back which shaved $200 off our conference registration. A five minute down the road is a Coronado Historical site...worth seeing. I had done separate reviews of restaurants with limited menus due to the pandemic...check it out! I would like to come back and bring my family! Ciao!

Yelp
Beautiful views! We went while it was very cold but I would recommend coming more in the summer or spring seasons so you can utilize the pool! They could be a little more friendly at the reception but we still had a great experience. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Make sure to have a balcony with a Mountain View!

Yelp
5 stars for a great spa experience! Tara gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. Would love to return sooner than later.

Yelp
How to begin to describe this place. I'm already amazed with the resort. When we drive to the resort, we welcomed with a nice mountain view, friendly valet guy ( although you can park ur car, its very close to the resort entrance). The front desk so nice too and friendly, they're so accommodated us. We got room with a mountain view. We had breakfast @ Santa Ana cafe , we tried both restaurants inside the property. The food good and i had a private jacuzzi and sauna for my own.. love this place and will definitely be back for another balloons fiesta. Definitely recommended this place. If you are looking for quiet, secluded, private place to stay while your on vacation, dont hesitate to come here.

Yelp
We just returned from a lovely vacation at the Hyatt. Our room was near the pool and located outside. The staff is amazing . I enjoyed the atmosphere and the beauty around the hotel. Two of the staff went above and beyond. At the front desk, Devan solved two issues that no one else was willing to tackle immediately. John our server in the cafe was hilarious and attentive. Everybody at the hotel was friendly and attentive. They had an interesting bread demonstration and then served it later, it was delicious. You can get s'more kits to make your own from the desk. The resort is secluded. It has a golf course, tennis, swimming and horses. There is a separate adult pool that is quiet.

Yelp
I normally only review restaurants but this place has impressed me so much I had to share! I came for a conference and from the moment I stepped foot onto the property I have felt SO welcomed by all the staff. They were quick to get me checked in (early-which I wasn't expecting) and gave me a map of the grounds. Note- you will definitely want this map, this place is VERY confusing to get around! The room was clean and comfortable, the only reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1) im a hot sleeper and even though I had the AC on 65 I was still warm, and 2) the shower pressure isn't the greatest (it's fine- I just normally feel like hotels have crazy strong water pressure). All of the restaurants on the property are delicious and incorporate a ton of green and red chiles into their food which I loved. The pools are incredible, there is towel service and poolside service for drinks and food. The walking trail is incredible in the morning (again you'll want a map I was very lost initially). Overall I would LOVE to come back to the property. Everything was incredible!

Yelp
Really great stay at Hyatt Tamaya! We were here in the beginning of fall and it's a really cute resort. My only complaint was that almost all the pools were closed, including the hot tubs. Even the ones at the spa were broken for maintenance... Food was good, great service, and beautiful property.

Yelp
Tucked away on the pueblo, it's a refreshing getaway. This was actually my second time visiting here-- the first time was in the December timeframe when it was very cold with snow on the ground. I remember walking through the door and smelling the dried sage burning. This time was in October when it was still warm during the days, with long sunny afternoons. With the resort set on a slight hill overlooking a wide valley of yellow cottonwood trees in bloom- it was absolutely stunning. I love that the resort tries to incorporate the essence of the pueblo into every aspect of the stay. I checked out the cultural activity-- it was making bread rolls in the traditional way of the pueblo- just flour, water, and lard. And there's a really nice art gallery on site where you can purchase art from local artisans that often exhibit in Santa Fe.

Yelp
Hello. As much as paid for suite to leave conference room dirty is unsatisfactory. Dishes in sink trash under sink. This is below standard for a Hyatt resort.... And to cap it off the rudeness and disrespect from front desk is appalling. I simply went to ask why room wasn't cleaned after sent text say unsatisfactory and got completely disrespected for no reason. The amount of money spent followed by disrespectful was all time high for me and I will never stay here again and recommend none of my high roller friends stay here either completely disrespected and uncalled for. And all over my suite not getting cleaned to start with. Very very bad look.

Yelp
Location, stunning views, peace and beauty, quiet & stillness all around. The powerful jacuzzi is a favorite.

Yelp
I can't believe this little oasis is here!!! I am coming back to golf! So, I am only reviewing the room and staff because I came here and didn't swim or soak or have the massage services! I apologize I was Visiting on a Church retreat and had speakers the entire time. Anyway the door people and guest registration staff were amazing. I am one of those that travels alone a lot so I am not afraid at all to ask questions (even silly ones) and ask for help (With tips of course; it's a spa...you have to tip your service people!) That being said the check-in was different (I don't valet my vehicles) but the valet watched my keys while I got my room key, I unloaded my bags on a cart to return to and went and parked my car. If you valet it won't be that tricky, I highly suggest you use a luggage cart; I think my room was a quarter mile from check in. Ha ha ha I am exaggerating but this place is beautiful and huge!!! My room was excellent, super clean and bed firm and had 4 amazing pillows. The deck/porch area was so serene and the wind didn't bother me out there one bit. I do highly recommend this Legendary secret! I got a special rate for my room as well so I was super impressed for the $$. Come check it out it's beautiful and quiet. I loved it so much.

Yelp
Quick Summary The best amenities and a grand hotel experience (This is going to Vegas without all the drama). Fantastic views, so many activities. This is a true desert getaway. I'm not surprised why they filmed the Bachelorette here Room- 5 stars The room was pretty large and came with a small standing balcony with a great view of the Sandia mountains. The room was really clean and I appreciate them having the refillable soap/lotion dispensers in the bathroom Service- 5 stars The staff were very polite and helpful. Very professional throughout Amenities- 5 stars There is so much to do here. We did the horse back riding which was fantastic (tour guides were spectacular and everything is for a good cause as the stables take on and rehab unwanted horses). They have a large pool area with jacuzzis and a large water slide. Plenty of grass area. A large biking trail throughout the property. And their own casino as well. Also a great cultural experience with their bread making (the bread was so fantastic) and their cultural tour to learn more about the Tamaya people. There's just so much to do here, and I'm only listing half of what's offere Bottom Line Phenomenal experience throughout. You can spend several days here with all the activities they provide. I can see why they filmed the Bachelorette here

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. It's tucked away from the city and it makes you feel like you're in a vast land elsewhere. Gorgeous view of the Sandia mountain greets you as you walk inside the lobby. The building layout snakes around & we unfortunately got a room at the very end of the building, near the tennis courts. I definitely got my daily 10k steps in just walking to my room :) They have several pools. The water slide is only open 10-5. In the courtyard they had a table set up & a staff member was there on Saturday morning with activities for the kids. We just happened to come upon it by chance, as it was not really advertised. The hotel ground is beautiful, perfect for a stroll. At the back, there are bikes you can use and we did see a lot of people taking advantage of it. There were people either biking or walking at the trail directly adjacent to the hotel too. We did not check out the stable as it was too hot to ride during our stay. There are several restaurants on site, but only Santa Ana was open when we were there. They had a dinner buffet $28 pp, $10 for kids. I'm pretty sure they had a brunch buffet as well but we did not try it. The room was quite dated, but clean and comfortable. We had several bugs coming inside even though we made sure to shut the door quickly. No microwave in the rooms, but they have one available near the lobby.

Yelp
Beautiful resort located 30 minutes from Albuquerque. We found the resort because of the recent taping of the Bachelorette show. Due to covid their main restaurants were not open and this was disappointing. I am giving it 4 stars out of 5 as we didn't get to try all the restaurants and disappointed that the breakfast brunch is only available on the weekend. The only option for breakfast is the Trading Post and that is like a Starbucks with packaged food options. The food was surprisingly very good but all the food is pre packaged. Another concern is the bikes they offer for bike riding on the trails around the resort need some serious TLC.

Yelp
Fun pools. Lovely place. Great walking and biking paths. I wish they didn't use single use plastic for so many things.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Absolutely beautiful. Absolutely peaceful. As State Bar President I booked this venue for the State Bar Conference in July of 2012. The hotel did a great job for a large group of tough customers. Everyone was pleased and the State Bar has returned six or so times again because of it's popularity with the membership.

Yelp
The Tamaya is always a family favorite. We enjoyed our overnight staycation. The staff was friendly. The room was great and we enjoyed ourselves! We love the resort accommodations and our only negative is the restaurant/bar ignored us and never seated us

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here. Check in was great and the room was nice. Beautiful view of the mountain! Food was good, though our last breakfast was served in the bar area vs the restaurant and I didn't enjoy that as much (different food options). Pools were great, grounds were well kept, service was good.

Yelp
Let me begin by saying that this review takes into account the limitations and restrictions made necessary by COVID. In fact, the hotel seems to be handling the situation with intelligence and I applaud them for that. But setting those things aside I have some observations which prospective guests may wish to consider. This is a spectacularly beautiful property and when I arrived I anticipated a wonderful stay. But that is not what I experienced. While a few members of staff were professional and one in particular is a brand ambassador of which they should be proud, we had requests which were ignored involving plumbing problems, we interacted with a bartender who was dismissive and ill-equipped to fix the most basic of cocktails, and a general manager who was unwilling to face me to address my concerns despite repeated requests. I can only assume that the staff is only mirroring his indifference. Despite the fact that there were in excess of 200 guests on property food service was nearly non-existent. A basic room with the usual fees and taxes is over $300 per night. If I experienced these problems at a flea-bag motel at $69 per night I wouldn't be surprised. But at this resort I expected, and deserved, better.

Yelp
What a great in town getaway! Being so close to home was nice. The weather was great and resort was awesome. During Covid-19 it was restricted the hotel was at 60% occupancy. The pools were set at only 10 per pool. Masks were worn by all employees and guests also wore masks. Restaurants were limited as we're seating. However the staff was friendly and and working as hard as they cold to make everyone happy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here. Ate at the pool bar, and lounge. Enjoyed riding bikes to the horse corral and bosque! Loved seeing the hot air balloon at night and they offered s'mores kits to guest! Pool attendant was on top of it. Keeping everyone safe and letting everyone know about regulations during COVID. Pretty awesome stay in beautiful New Mexico!

Yelp
We came here on New Year's Day. I think the place is very nice. There is even a fire place outside they you can stand by while waiting for your car. They do have valet service is you want it. Inside the walls have all kinds of Native art.

Yelp
The room smelled so clean and fresh. They were actually clean and fresh. I really enjoyed the rooms and the fact that I didn't have to walk through a stinky casino to get to it. Their campus is beautiful and the pools are huge.. the restaurants were good and not just "as good as we can get without going anywhere" good, but actually really good. Their patios and fire pits were also pretty awesome, even in the middle of winter. The soap in the rooms is nice. Their customer service was great as well. The guy checking us in, not only talked us in to an upgrade but also an additional night. So why the 2 stars? Because there were a few things that were uncomfortable beyond necessary. 1. Valet parking: why are their no lights and no heat lamps at the drive up? The valet couldn't even see to fill out the ticket which made it take longer while we stood in the super dark, freezing cold. 2. Coffee: Coffee is kind of a non-negotiable... even morel 6 has coffee. This hotel only has a starbucks. It's not open 24 hours... and its crappy, expensive coffee. I even tried to get coffee from the restaurant and it was over $6 for regular coffee. It is impossible to find coffee in this hotel for less than $5. Also, when you are in a conference with 300 people, guess where they all go on break....#nohope 3. Lost and found never called me back for something I left in the room.

Yelp
Our new favorite place! Fantastic food and service! Located on the Rio Grande for great hikes and bikes. What is not to love about Tamaya!

Yelp
This Resort is spectacular on all levels!! N the dinner it's a great place to purchase a "Day-cation." That means you get full access of the two pools and Jacuzzi, in the summertime they have movies at night outside, and outside bar and food!!! Costly YES!!! But still five stars!!

Yelp
Beautiful property. Wish the Festival of Trees would be held here every year- they really know how to decorate for Christmas. (Oh, the chicken fajitas are delicious and whatever they put in that red chile raspberry jam they have). Plenty of wild animals from birds, hawks, deer, turkey, and even rattlesnakes. On the other hand, having the Stables here makes it even better. In the fall, there are carriage rides that take you along the rock cliffs and by the river (about $35 per person). The sound of horse hooves hitting the dirt, fallen leaves, and some warm apple cider in hand. You can really tell how much the horses and this place means to Connie. She even rehabilitates horses and helps them get back on their feet (literally). I tried horseback riding here after a nasty horseback riding accident in WY. I was a little skeptical, but Connie's staff ensured I had a gentle horse picked out and became more comfortable. It was a gorgeous ride (once I was able to enjoy it), and we stopped along the river for pictures with our four-legged pals. For old or young, this is a place I would recommend learning about the balance of horse and man

Yelp
Bed bugs for days and poor food. Poor management as they are bullies not managers don't stay here.

Yelp
The hotel was very clean and the pool and waterslide were an absolute hit with the kids they had games for summer which made it a lot of fun. Is really nice since the dinner buffet was opened I felt the rooms were very clean

Yelp
Recently attended a trade show here. Beyond overjoyed and satisfied by the food that was provided. Pictures and words cannot do it justice. Attending shows like these for more about 10 years and the Hyatt's wins, hands down. Notable mentions, bbq brisket and potato salad!

Yelp
Gorgeous grounds, three or four swimming pools, sauna, spa, and three restaurants plus a deli/Starbucks. An art gallery with Native made jewelry, clothing, and art for all budgets. Excellent, friendly, professional staff everywhere. Best of all is that it's Native-owned, by the Tamaya of the Santa Ana Pueblo. A walk from the hotel through groves of cottonwood trees where we saw a flock of turkeys and dozens of hummingbirds took us to the banks of the Rio Grande. Simply beautiful.

Yelp
Nice resort hotel. I attended a conference here last year. There is lots to do nearby. Golf course looks great. There are trails for hiking and horseback riding. There is good coffee in the lobby. The pool area is real nice, but it was too cold out to enjoy.

Tracy S.

Yelp
Maybe this place was a nice property 20 years ago, but it needs some serious updating and shows it's age. The rooms, and area around the rooms, are lacking. The grounds are somewhat nice and afford views of the mountain and cottonwoods surrounding the Rio Grande. It has a nice relaxed vibe but there was really no one staying there when I went. The food from the cafe was mediocre at best. I wouldn't stay here again.

Yelp
Five star resort all the way! I stayed at the Tamaya for my birthday vacation with a friend a few years back. It is one of the best vacations I've had so far! The location of this resort is perfect. It is located at Santa Ana Pueblo which is at the base of Sandia mountain between ABQ and Santa Fe. The property has spectacular mountain views like no other! It is secluded, private, quiet, and simply gorgeous! I loved the Native American style architectures at the property. The staff were super nice and attentive the entire time we were there. Upon checking in I mentioned it was my birthday vacation, they instantly upgraded our room for free and gave me a box of chocolate truffles as birthday gift!! Our room had private balcony and a backdoor so we practically had our own entrance to the outdoor heated pool. Awesome! We went to the tramway in ABQ and took a road trip to Santa Fe. After our day trip, we sat by the outdoor fireplace to enjoy the unbelievable views of the Sandia mountain and sunset. We then had gourmet oven pizza and hand crafted cocktails at the hotel lounge. It was amazing! The resort has three other restaurants. I wish we had time to eat at the Corn Maiden and the Santa Ana cafe, too. The resort offers four pools: river pool, water slide, heated pool, and whirlpool. We went to enjoy the heated pool after drinks. Since February was a slow month, we had the whole outdoor heated pool to ourselves. It was absolutely one of the best time I've had! Next morning, we woke up early and went on a hike at several amazing nature trails on the property. We also attended the adobe brick making and made our own adobes!! It was such a unique experience! Besides the things we did, the hotel also offers horseback riding, hot air ballooning, traditional oven bread making, jewelry making, Native American dance and flute performance, star gazing, wagon and hay ride, guided nature walk, biking, golf, and many other activities. Gosh, I really wish I had more time! I am definitely returning to Hyatt Tamaya resort for my next big vacation and relaxation. And I am totally doing the hot air ballooning next time. Can't wait!!!

Yelp
This was our first visit to this well-known resort. Highly recommended by several friends. They were on point - the facilities are very well done...Southwest / New Mexico style. I gave such a low rating for two reasons: 1.) They are just re-opening after New Mexico's ridiculously long COVID lockdown. (How many businesses / tourist dollars did their incompetent governor cost this poor state?!?) They are clearly WAY understaffed to be able to provide the level of service you expect at a "luxury resort". This was most apparent in their dining facilities, both in the restaurants and poolside. Oddly enough, they asked us to wear masks, even if fully vaccinated, yet they offered a full buffet in the evening. (If you're really concerned about COVID, you DON'T have a buffet!!) That said, the food was really good. However, the service was abysmal. I felt sorry for the wait staff...they were doing their best; there were just too few of them. Again, at $250 / night, you expect (and deserve) better. 2.) This one is really annoying. We learned that the resort has been selling "day passes" to locals to use their pools and other facilities. They supposedly only offer them Monday to Thursday, but we observed plenty of folks using them on Friday and Saturday. All of these extra folks made all 3 of the the pools VERY crowded. Trying to get food and drink service at the pool was a joke. Again, the young servers were doing their best, but the service was terrible. Trying to find loungers was a challenge as well. If you are a true "luxury resort", you DO NOT; DO NOT; DO NOT sell "day passes" for $30 / family so that they can overwhelm the facilities / services for those of us paying full price. This practice is unacceptable. I would never come back here as long as this "day pass" nonsense continues. Either you are a full-service "luxury resort", or a local public swimming pool. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Yelp
This is really fun place to stay. I just don't feel like the rooms are worth the cost. I would expect better rooms for the price. However the amenities and staff are beyond wonderful. I really nice place to get away from the city. Also a great place to visit even if you don't stay the night. You can sit out on the patio or a couch by the fireplace and read a book or hand out with friends by the fire pit outside.

Yelp
As your drive up you recognize that you've stumbled upon a hidden gem. Understated, peaceful, and surrounded by nature's beauty. The rooms are sizable. The staff are attentive and professional. I enjoyed the walking trails. The spa was absolutely amazing-one of the best massages I've ever had.

Yelp
Well we played an event out at the Hyatt Tamayan resort and I have to say that that was an incredibly positive and beautiful experience the whole staff there is amazing the grounds are incredible the views are spectacular the food is unbelievable we had a blast can't wait to go there and play a little golf

Yelp
We were in New Mexico to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and this hotel was the perfect hotel for us. Everyone was so nice, and the amenities were great. I didn't love that there were only two restaurants with limited service, but I think that's a casualty of Covid. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a private deck with amazing views. I would have also liked a more luxurious bathroom for a resort. It wasn't bad, just not much to it. Overall, a very nice place to stay!
