Another fantastic stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun! I was a little hesitant to book our annual trip so close to the hotel’s shutdown for renovations. As always, we had a fabulous time! Everything from the pool and beach activities, the bars and restaurants, the spa and gym is operating as business as usual. Most importantly- the same beautiful people are there, making sure our trip was as great as it always has been.||Special shout outs- thank you concierge Daniel Manzano! We really appreciate your help in booking our favorite side by side pool cabanas prior to our arrival! ||Thank you Ivan Rivera! You always take the best care of us! It was so nice to walk down to the pool every morning, our cabanas already set up with towels. And enjoying the views with freshly polished sunglasses- you’re just the best!||Thank you Orlando, our server at the pool! You took such great care of us! Your service was so friendly and attentive, and the drinks were delicious. We really enjoyed seeing you bartending at The Den on our last night..||We enjoyed our first time visiting the hibachi area at Asiana restaurant. Thank you to our chef Gloria! You were fantastic- entertaining, skillful, fun, and a great chef. ||Thank you Grissel at Punta Vista! You are the definition of a hostess. Welcoming, gracious, and friendly. ||Thank you Jose Loria at Punta Vista! Your service was excellent- attentive, friendly, and helpful. ||Needless to say, we’re so looking forward to our visit in January 2026. We expect to see these wonderful people again next year, as they are truly the reason we keep coming back. Muchas gracias!!!

We had an amazing experience during our stay at Hyatt Zilara. The room had the ocean view and was spacious with a jacuzzi inside. The amenities were amazing - There were smoothies in the morning, coconut water and cabanas during the day and cultural dances/fiesta in the evening. There were 4-5 restaurants to choose where to eat. The staff was extremely helpful and tried to cater to our every need. The only downside of this place was that there weren’t any vegan options. We were pinged to fruits when we asked. The staff tried to make us a dish or two at most places we went to after waiting/asking them - But the wait was really long and the food was really basic (Atleast 30 minutes wait after you find the chef). Imagine paying for an all inclusive resort where others have 100+ food options (healthy and protein based) whereas you scramble for one or two. I want to call out that I informed the resort well in advance about my dietary restriction and the cook/chef/manger promised to make a vegan dinner - but did not reply to me and couldn’t be reached on that day. What a bummer! Also, the coffee shop was a nice to have but again zero vegan options :/

modern room. Silence the whole time. We appreciated this because we moved from a 5-star in Playa that did not have good sound insulation due to stone floors. The Hyatt smartly carpeted the hallways and/ or just had better sound insulation. Our room was very well done, modern, and the bed very comfortable. We love the swim out feature with great views from a semi-private infinity pools. Buffet was surprisingly good (fresh, plenty, and restocked frequently). This from a couple that usually do not preferbuffets. La Bastille was excellent with excellent service (unlike other resorts-no up charge.) Habaneros was also great for cold drinks and fish taCos. Karla the hostess is a standout in great service and warm welcome. Francisco the concierge was also great. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel. A nice surprisingly

Had a great week at this location with my best friend - Girls Trip. It's beautiful, open, welcoming and we felt safe. Pool and Beach had plenty of lounging availability. Good food options and variety even for a vegetarian. Enjoyed the day activities and evening entertainment. All staff was great, but Rossy at Spice stood out the most. Only disappointment was our first attempt at dinner at Maria Marie we were turned away for my friend wearing flip flop style sandals - it is noted on the attire, but she only had gym shoes besides those sandals. We returned another night with gym shoes and other guests were not turned away for having on similar style flip flops. Minor hiccup for an overall GREAT week.

It’s a great hotel with an amazing beach, food and a location. Just wanted to do a shout-out to a great guy at the bell desk, David John. When I was checking out, I forgot my laptop bag at the reception desk. I was already in the taxi driving to the airport when David radioed my taxi driver and told him to drive back so I can get my bag. Thank you so much, David!

We had a great trip to Zilara!! We have been to the former sister resort in Playa Del Carmen and wanted to try the Hyatt Zilara. We were wonderfully pleased with everything about the resort. Food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere were fantastic and we look forward to going back. ||There were plenty of chairs near the pool and the beach and pool area were kept in pristine condition.||We would like to thank Abimael (pool waiter), Jesus and Carlos were our breakfast waiters in Spice and Julio in Asiana - all so polite with prompt service and we were happy to chat with them about the resort and how they enjoyed working there. ||We had left Asiana one evening after our meal and Julio came running outside - just to say "good night" to us! I guess we hadn't finished our evening meal without properly saying good night to him. We thought it was cute and a sign of his caring service!||Yimi - pronounce Jimi was our waiter at Punta Vista and was a real treat to have serve us.||Finally, we wanted to mention the lady who fresh made the eggs/omelets at Spice. She was fast, friendly and after the first day, remembered our orders the next day when we went there for breakfast!!||We WILL go back!

I truly enjoyed my recent stay at the Zilara. The staff were so friendly and attentive. They were genuinely sweet, and I didn’t feel that they were being paid to be nice. This is not a party resort, but it did have somethings that were partyish. The suds party was fun, and the karaoke bar was a blast! All in all most loud things were done by 11, so that guests could get some rest. The room was large and had a large, beautiful balcony, with a nice hammock. The view was stunning, and really would say it’s the best view in the hotel zone. The shower in the room had nice water pressure, and was nice to use after a stay on the beach. There was a nice turn down service, and the bedding was very nice to sleep on. The entertainment was also surprisingly good. I was almost expecting it to be cheesy, but to the contrary. The food was very good, and went to Maria Marie twice. The vanilla flambé was entertaining and delicious. Even Spice that wasn’t as well reviewed had a great assortment of foods, and was good to me. I have to give a nod to the little cafe there too. Their pistachio croissant was heaven, and their coffee was also very good. As far as the drinks. I found if you brought a tumbler the frozen drinks seemed to be more watered down than the gin and tonics I got. Also, the alcohols are all what would be considered low top to top shelf. No well drinks in the building. The wines I was served were nice as well. The spa was a wonderful treat. I had the 80 min hot stone massage and it was just what I needed. I left the spa feeling refreshed and relaxed. It was also very beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was the store. They charged me 60$ for sunscreen and aloe. We both know that that is super inflated.

Rating: ★★★½ (3.5/5) Hotel Zilara Cancun offers a fun and lively atmosphere with a mix of highlights and areas for improvement. Pros: • Food Experience: The food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the teppanyaki experience and the Chef’s Plate – both were standout meals that added to our enjoyment. • Friendly Staff: The staff was consistently warm and welcoming, making sure we felt taken care of throughout our stay. • Heated Pools: A big plus was the heated pools, which made swimming and relaxing comfortable even when the weather cooled down. Cons: • Dated Facilities: The hotel feels a bit dated and could use some renovations to modernize the rooms and common areas. • Entertainment: The shows were just okay – not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. • Noise Level: While the pool parties were fun and energetic, the noise carried into the rooms, which made it hard to relax if you were looking for peace and quiet. Overall Impression: Hotel Zilara Cancun delivers great food, friendly service, and lively entertainment, but the dated facilities and noise levels might not appeal to everyone. If you’re looking for a fun, social atmosphere with good dining options, this could be a great spot. However, if you’re after a quiet, restful getaway, you might want to consider other options.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. It's the best experience I've ever had at an all inclusive hotel. At the end of my stay, I did not want to leave. Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

Yelp
Dismal check in process at the club level. We were greeted and i asked to have my luggage with me so i could change. I was assured it would take only a few minutes so not to worry about it. We were given welcome drinks in the club lounge and told someone would be with us in a few minutes. So far so good. 30 min later no one had come over. 45 min later we inquired. We were told our room would be ready in 20 minutes and we could have our luggage at that point. Alright. 30 minutes later we were told our room would be ready in 45 minutes! This was well after 3pm at this point which i believe is their check in time We expected much more from this resort with stellar reviews. A rocky start to what hopefully will be a better experience!

Yelp
We had 7 days and 6 nights at Zilara and it was amazing. The resort hotel is beautifully decorated and managed, the staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. The pool and beach areas and really nicely done as well. They supplied plenty of entertainment options as well as food options. I wasn't told no on anything during my stay. We will be back at Zilara!

Yelp
WOW This is our first resort in Cancun and I don't think we will ever choose another one. FOOD Wow. We did our homework before our trip and saw Zilara Cancun had good/decent reviews about their food. Let me tell you, this is probably the best food I've had in a long long time. Top dishes for me are the octopus with mole and lobster tostada from Maria Marie. If you like/can eat seafood, trust me on this. The drinks are phenomenal as well. There are signature drinks at all the restaurants. Those are mostly hits but some are misses (depends on your taste buds) PRO TIP: sign up for alcohol tastings at The Den first day you get there. We did tequila and wine tasting. It was quite a unique experience. SERVICE I've never gotten treated like this in any hotel I've been at. Chef's kiss for sure. The bellhop/front desk usually can break your 20s/100s into 1s so don't feel the need to exchange pesos (unless you want to of course). The workers at the hotel (and around Cancun overall) takes USD PRO TIP: there are a lot of activities hosted by the hotel. Morning exercise classes are really fun and the night shows are just okay. The crowd is definitely on the older side that just want to come to Cancun and chill not party. From hearing the reviews, Zilara had the most amount of activities from various first hand reviews from our friends All in all, solid resort. You won't regret it!

Yelp
We typically go to the excellence Cancun, but they didn't have two club rooms the weeks we wanted to go so we picked the Zilara and overall I'm glad we did. FOOD- I overall liked the food. I wish they would have advertised/told us the buffet had different theme dinners. They were our favorite for dinner. There were good dishes at each, but nothing phenomenal. I really liked the lunches they had set up by the pool. It was overall good and on par with my expectations for an all inclusive. BEACH- this is honestly one of the highlights. The resort had one of the best beaches and ability to get in the ocean. If you want to get in the ocean, this is the spot. SERVICE - this was the most disappointing. At Excellence you cannot breathe without someone asking if you need something. It took a long time for people to check on us and we tip well. Day 4 we finally found Humberto who was THE BEST! Find him and tip him well. ROOMS- they were good and I was happy with them! POOLS- the pools were fine. A little shaded. The most annoying part was the cabana situation. Some are free, some are always paid, and some are paid on certain days. I get up at like 6AM every day anyways so I got good cabanas but if you're not an early riser you're screwed. Overall, I'd return!!

Yelp
Great week in Cancun, and wonderful "Smoothie Bar" headed by Meagan. Healthy, refreshing, great concept. Keep it up!

Yelp
My partner and I spent Christmas week at the all inclusive Hyatt Zolara Riviera Maya" this past December and found our experience all over the map! First there are a lot of lovely things about this place. The Spa, some of the restaurants, most of the staff that works there, gorgeous swim-up room, and entertainment. Unfortunately there are several issue with our stay that makes us believe that we will probably not be going back to this resort. We talked to many other couples there and this is the general consensus. Here is a list of the good things: Good food at Coffee Republic and Tempest Amazing Mixologists! And very friendly and courteous. Lots of fun. If the whole resort was light The Social and Coffee Republic, it would have been amazing! We loved The Social Bar in the lobby. The Spa Staff and overall beauty of the Spa was wonderful. Ana (water Aerobics) was wonderful Bianca (pool), Elida (El Comodore) were great. Exceptional treatment by Edgar (Concierge) after our injury at the pool. The highest compliments to Andres (lifeguard) who came to our room twice to clean and dress our injury. Loved the Coatis and other wildlife. The Room was gorgeous. Beach huts and towels were great. Vegan Burger at Lola Beach was great. And here is the ugly: Ordered room service and it did not come 1st morning. Received a phone call offering a $200 credit if we came to the front desk, which we wrongfully assumed was due to room service breakfast which didn't arrive, but in actuality, the $200 was a coupon book for the upcharge items, which we would only receive after speaking to someone about the timeshare/other resort "excursion" they wanted to take us on. We did not appreciate being pressured and tricked by the timeshare salespeople. Before going to speak to the front desk, I asked if this had anything to do with timeshares, and the person at the front desk said 'No". We went down and found out that it did. That turned us off for the rest of our stay. Subsequent times we ordered Room Service from the app, it did not come without a followup phone call. Was treated rudely by Omar (Butler, Pool Staff) after suffering an injury at the pool, Top step of pool was not marked which led to injury, Expected fresh tortillas and house made guacamole, Limited vegetarian options. Terrible hamburger and pizza at Lola Beach Mediocre food at El Comodore, Capri Grill Legends Sports Bar smelled and was depressing. Games were out of order. Ms. Pacman was falling apart, Upcharges were terrible and annoying. Hot tub was not hot enough. The Spa was somewhat disappointing because the Sauna and Steam Room was not hot enough and we were told that there was a 5 minute maximum to stay in each. Terrible lighting and mediocre Sushi at the Sushi Bar. No vegetarian options.

Paul C.

Yelp
Value for money, the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya is a great option. We travelled with a group of six (three rooms total) and received a discount for booking early- total rate was +/- $200 per person per night. The rooms were extremely clean and well furnished, the hotel offers several restaurants and all day buffet style dining that are included in the room rate. The staff were very friendly and every request was accommodated easily. The pool and beach were both lovely; there is lively music playing all day at the pool so do not expect this to be a quiet resort during the day (at night it was very quiet and easy to sleep). The one downside to the hotel is the food quality is mediocre at most restaurants but considering it's all inclusive including alcohol it met our expectations given the very low rate we were offered. I would be open to returning to this hotel and recommend it for guests seeking an adults only all inclusive experience that offers clean, well furnished rooms and property, a great pool scene, beach front, and fun drinks / environment.

Kitta N.

Yelp
Beautiful property! Staff were very pleasant and the buffet was amazing!!! Hotel room (ocean view) was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend my friends and family. Great location as well.

Jaycia W.

Yelp
This is a 10-star resort. The staff make this hotel the best in Cancun. The rooms, food, pools, entertainment, cleanliness, SPA, cabanas, room service and concierge services are IMPECCABLE. The only problem is we did not stay long enough!! Punta Vista was my favorite restaurant, the SPA was mind blowing and the poolside FREE massages were wonderful. We can't wait to go back. Absolute paradise if you are looking for an adults only all-inclusive experience!!!! I met so many wonderful and hospitable people at Zilara, they are happy to take the best care of you! Thank you, Wendy, Luis, Yanira, Gladys & Brian for all you do. If I could have memorized every single name I would have included them all!!

Joanna C.

Yelp
Great first experience in Mexico. Loved that everything was included. This is a smaller resort and pretty quiet. We stayed 4 nights and that was plenty. The highlights were the spa (extra $, but worth it) the coffee shop (the gelato was yummy) beach access and the service. Everyone was so nice and helpful, almost too much. The biggest disappointment was the food and drinks. Just ok. We did enjoy the Cobb salad and the coconut shrimp at the Lola and the hibachi at Tempest. The buffet is a hard no. The drinks are very sugary and weak. Overall, great trip and for the price worth checking out. I do not feel the need to go back to this specific resort.

Shanelle S.

Yelp
All-inclusive resort in the Hotel Zone. Stayed here as part of a bachelorette trip for a weekend. There was a mix up in room assignments where they put the wrong names in each room so we had to say the wrong room number in order to get access to the restaurants. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly and everything was kept immaculate. The rooms included a hot tub and a balcony, and they provided plenty of water bottles. Theres a safe in the closet as well as a blow dryer. There's 24/7 room service and there were 5 different bars/eateries on premise (though I personally went to the cafe the most for gelato). There were reserved and free-for-all cabanas on both the pool as well as the beach. There was a hot tub. There were restrooms on the beach as well as showers and plenty of towels. There was a gym and they offered group exercise classes (including reformer, although there's only 7 machines so get there early) in the mornings. They had a lot of activities too, including a foam party on Friday afternoon and a mambo night on Saturday in the sports themed bar. For the checkout process, you must vacate the room by noon and obtain a checkout card from the front desk. They are able to call you a taxi but we had a prearranged shuttle service. Overall, a relaxing stay that is for adults only.

Reggie E.

Yelp
This was a great all-inclusive vacation. As a Hyatt Explorist, check-in was seamless, as I was escorted to a private area. The room for some may appear outdated, but it was nice and functional. The bathroom was spacious with a great walk-in shower. The room was clean, and the daily services were great, with restocking the fridge. The breakfast was excellent, given the omelet station, rack of donuts, and champagne from the FIRST-AID STATION. Dinner at each of the restaurants was great, as well as lunch. The drinks were poured very well, not too much juice/medium. Everyone was very nice. The only concern I had with this resort was the poolside cabanas. People would go out early and place a book or some item on the cabana and wouldn't return for hours. They need to have patrons sign up through the staff to reserve the free cabanas in 4 hour increments only per hotel room, not per guest. This would allow for a more fair way for people to experience all the amenities of the hotel.

Destinee C.

Yelp
Loved it here! The resort was beautiful & extremely clean. The food was amazing (especially at the Italian restaurant!!) & there were PLENTY of vegan, vegetarian & gluten free options at all meals. I was really pleased with that. Service in the restaurants & at pool bars is friendly but pretty slow - so be aware of that. Once we settled into the slower pace, we just started ordering everything at once when we were greeted & it was fine. The spa was a huge highlight of our trip. We did the hydro therapy, massage & facial & it was all incredible. The spa is beautiful and well maintained They also had a great gym which was a highlight for us. Erik helped us book our services & he was super helpful and kind. When we passed him in the lobby, he checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we enjoyed everything or to see if we needed help. 12/10 !! Truly has the perfect personality for hospitality.

Phoenix A.

Yelp
Excelente!!! Very great professional staff, breathtaking rooms and views, with delicious variety food options. This place is awesome and definitely worth staying here. The accommodations and ambiance is so perfect to relax, vacation, or even host an event.

Lexie P.

Yelp
Amazing property, room, staff, beach, and food! The entertainment was also amazing. Room was luxurious and the view of the pool and ocean was spectacular. Incredible food every meal. Totally recommend!

Yelp
We were so excited to try the adults only Zilara after a few years of staying at Ziva (which we LOVE). Since these are both Hyatt hotels, we assumed they were sister properties and that the food and service levels would be the same, if not better, considering it's adults only. This was not the case. Short version of my review if you're trying to choose between the two: spend a little more and go to Ziva. Stay in the Turquoize tower if adults only is important to you. Zilara does not compare even a little bit to Ziva. There are five restaurants. A buffet, Mediterranean restaurant, hibachi, and two Mexican restaurants which we thought was a little odd. It would have been nice to have an Italian or French option or even a steakhouse. There is a restaurant by the beach that serves personal pizzas you can take back to your lounge chair. The buffet was surprisingly very small. They do have some food stations near the pool during lunch. Overall the food was just okay. Honestly I think we liked the room service more than the restaurant food! The sports bar is fun but only serves drinks. It would be great if they offered bar food - burgers, wings, nachos etc, just to have another food option. The pool is okay. It is split in half by a walkway, so if you're on the right side of the pool, you have to get out and walk to the other side to get to the pool bar. It would be nice if they connected the two pools underneath the bridge so you could cross without having to get out. There was a foam party with a dj while we were there which was fun. The bar on the beach is unimpressive which is sad because it would make an awesome beach bar! It would be awesome to have some sort of hanging chair or hammock bar stool seat. The oceanfront suite we had was very nice. We loved the huge shower with jets on the wall and the hammock on the balcony. The mini bar in the rooms only has beer, no little vodka or tequila bottles which seems weird considering all other resorts we have stayed at offered at least one or the other. We've always loved getting to know the servers and bartenders, however we found that none of them really seemed interested in getting to know us. At other resorts we've made some close friends with bartenders that we still follow on social media! Everyone here was just going through the motions and were very uninterested in having a conversation longer than taking our order. Overall we were pretty disappointed with this property. We personally love Hyatt (even a previous Hyatt employee here!), and have never had issues with any of their properties, but I'm not sure that we'll be back to this one. There is a lot of room for improvement and I hope they are able to do that because it has the potential to be a really great property.

Yelp
There are not enough words to adequately express our gratitude to Gardenia, Laura, and Vianez for treating us so well at Spice each day. We met Gardenia at Spice in December 2022 and knew instantly that we'd want to come back to Cancun to see her as often as we could. Not once did our drinks get below half full because she consistently checked on our needs throughout our meals. Never intruding or hovering, but constantly eyeballing each table she was assigned to ensure guests had the very best service. When we'd walk in, the hostesses (Laura & vianez) would greet us with a warm smile and always remembered Gardenia was our only choice of server for breakfast & lunch. (I want to emphasize that EVERY server at Spice is fantastic, but Gardenia is our girl.) We never had to open a door for ourselves, never waited more than 30 seconds to be seated. Truly incredible service all the way around. We truly appreciate their hard work and dedication to pleasing every guest at the hotel. Each night we ate dinner at Asiana. My husband could not love their sushi more. We did not catch his name, but the man who hand rolls the sushi each night is fantastic. Our servers Martin & Julio were incredible and once again our drinks never got below half before a fresh water was on its way. The manager of Asiana was also incredibly attentive. He checked on each table to ensure the service and food was up to par. The Teppanyaki experience is something everyone should make reservations for at least once. The food is amazing & the show is too! After dinner, we often went to Spice afterwards so that I could finish eating dinner (I am super picky and do not eat sushi, ha!). Uriel was just as amazing as everyone else we encountered. He kept my drinks filled & offered to bring me more food so that I didn't have to get up. The shows & parties were a blast. We are NOT "party people" but nothing was ever too wild or loud. We enjoyed watching the dancing & singing every day and the foam party was a blast! The dance competition was THE BEST and the host of the dance party was SO MUCH FUN. Our server at the beach cabana was Eloisa and she was fantastic! Checked on us every 5-10 minutes and never let us run out of ice cold waters! Diana led an abs circuit I attended and was so encouraging and helpful throughout the workout. Another class I attended was yoga & to my surprise - the class completely immersed the attendees into the Mayan culture which was incredible. We had instruments, burning oils, and were able to participate in Mayan rituals before yoga began. I wish this would've been offered every single day because I wouldn't have missed any of the classes! I hope when we return the Mayan yoga experience is a daily event! It's amazing to be able to immerse yourself into the culture in Cancún. Unfortunately, we had to eventually check out. David John grabbed our luggage from us in the lobby and ensured that it was safe while we waited on our transport. He was so kind and explained exactly what would happen with our luggage and if we needed anything between check out and departing to let him know! Great guy! The bars, restaurants, etc were open to us even after checking out. We were allowed access until we officially left the property.

Yelp
A solid 4.5 stars! This was my first time at an all-inclusive and they did not let us down. From the start of our check-in with Oscar, to the our bags being stored for departure, our experience truly was exceptional. The staff here cannot be duplicated, first and foremost! At check-in, Oscar provided us with a welcome drink of our choice. It could not have been more perfect timing. He then proceeded to give us a mini tour explaining the restaurant hours, options, where to book a reservation, and so-on. He went as far to escorting us to the elevator. Truly top-notch service. The reason for my four stars is simply because of the room being pretty outdated. I just wasn't expecting a bit of an older style but the room was very spacious nonetheless. Another downfall is that they utilize an iPad system for ordered room service, however, ours wouldn't turn on. I think the KEY factor here is that every room has an ocean view - absolutely stunning! After check-in, the bellman arrived while I was on facetime with my nephew. He was also fantastic! So kind and started to facetime with my nephew a bit too. Very personable. He gave us another quick rundown of the room itself and some of the amenities the property had to offer. Another downside, as other reviews mention, is that the restaurants close early and have semi-odd hours. The room service however was not a letdown (FYI, I will be reviewing the restaurants we visited separately so this can be a hotel-only review). We ordered room service on both nights and they delivered it within 15-20 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend their guacamole. It was the best I had the entire trip in Mexico. On our last morning, we were sure to visit the buffet so Jimena could make us the BEST Rancheros eggs and Chilaquiles. Truly delicious! Before we could even get to the restaurant with our bag, a bellman spotted us and stored them. What service! Honestly, every staff member you come across is grateful and puts their heart into what they do. You can feel it throughout the resort. I will say this was not the same case at the other property, Moon Palace, we traveled to mid-week. When you order a drink poolside, they were there minutes later and drinks were strong!

Yelp
Amazing experience, the best I've ever had in Cancun. This service rates 11 out of 10, amazing food variety, entertainment, white sand beach with gorgeous water. All room are ocean view with balconies and perfect shower. Monica, Ana, Noel, Sebastian, Fabian, Brian and everyone else who made this experience so special! Thank you for your hospitality and accommodations, for cold water and towels and most of all your smiles! I traveled to Cancun many times before, but this resort has the highest bar now! Will recommend to everyone I know! Till we see you again

Yelp
Zilara is an all-inclusive, adults-only resort located toward the end of the hotel zone. Not to be confused with its family-friendly sister property (Ziva), Zilara's guests must be 18 years or older. The property is well-kept and clean. Throughout the day, employees are constantly cleaning, re-painting, and maintaining the grounds to upkeep its immaculate appearance. There are 6 restaurants available for dinner; 2 for lunch and breakfast. My faves were Maria Marie (gourmet Mexican) and Pelicano's (Mediterranean). Room service also provides a good selection and is available 24/7. Your food will arrive in 30 minutes or less. They had a pool party on Friday, and we rented a cabana for $169. It comes with champagne & a seafood platter that includes: lobster, shrimp, calamari, scallops, mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. We thought it was going to be bigger portion, but it was still worth it. The five of us ate it all before the show started. The party was so much fun! Shoutout to the two guys at the coffee shop. They were so friendly, and made an extra effort to ensure that we enjoyed our food and drinks. They even packed us some goodies and cold bottles of water when we told them that we were going to Chichen Itza (so kind). Spectacular views, friendly staff, and delicious food! We had such a great time! If you decide to go, please remember to tip the staff. We noticed that a lot of guests were not tipping :( They do a wonderful job and were extremely appreciative of our tips. Enjoy!

Yelp
Amazing resort!! A+++ From top to bottom, start to finish, nothing short of impeccable service and amenities. We chose the swim up suite which I particularly enjoyed with covid still around. We had our own pool to ourselves 98% of the time. Great views from our balcony. We loved all of the rest and cafes, with Asiana maybe being the least except for the sushi offering which was very fresh!! The trip was booked for my birthday and Hyatt did not disappoint with decorations and several surprises! It was wonderful! Highly recommend the resort. Always felt safe. Most guests and ALL staff wearing masks.

Yelp
This place was 10/10- coming from San Diego I wasn't sure if it would be nicer because we are used to the beaches and beautiful weather. However this all inclusive adults only is the best hotel ever. The customer service is unbelievable. They make you feel so welcome, no one was ever rude. The food was delicious and not all buffet style. The sand was so soft and white and the warm bath water ocean was amazing. The view from our suite was spectacular just listening to the real Sound of the ocean every morning. Shout out to: Miguel- spar hydro water experience Pedro- Chef at Asiana Eduardo- bar tender at lobby Reyes- outside server on the beach Luis- concierge Bryan- spa customer service Germin- spa manager

Yelp
Came here for a week vacation and it was glorious! You walk in and are presented with a drink and a cool washcloth. We arrived before check in so we hit the lunch buffet and walked the resort while we waited for our room. I would recommend packing a swimsuit in a backpack so you can jump in the pool or go to the beach. The drinks were great. I highly recommend the Riveria Maya. And the service was top notch. Shout out to Eduardo, Jairo, Victor, and Reyes who amazed us with their mixology skills and made sure our glasses were never empty. Also shout out to Mari and Gloria who were super helpful pool attendants. In terms of restaurants, my favorites were Asiana and Punta Vista, the Mediterranean restaurant. I would recommend checking the app for menus, schedule of activities, and reserving cabanas. The buffet Spice was also pretty good. At breakfast Fabian, Gisel, and Martin were amazing and attentive with serving drinks and making sure our plates were cleared. On Asian night, I don't remember the names of the staff, but they were so attentive- when they saw us coming they would take our plates and bring them to the table, which was in an area where you had to come down two stairs. They also made sure our drinks were full at all times.

Yelp
Hyatt was perfect from beginning to end. It's obviously an older establishment, but it's well maintained. Our room had slight mildew smell, but it wasn't too bad. I figured it's because Cancun itself is so humid. I was just glad that the floors weren't carpeted. The toiletry items are ok. The fridge was stocked with soda, beer, and water. There's also a nespresso machine with some pods and snacks. Of course, the best part of the room was the hot tub overlooking the ocean. Our room was "ocean view" and not "ocean front" but it still was marvelous. We were on the third floor so it was only slightly obstructed with palm trees. The balconies are very close together and we had to quickly close the curtains whenever our neighbors were out on the balcony. You get a beautiful direct view of the sun, and the black-out curtains are very helpful in the morning. I think the best part of the hotel is the service. All the employees are very hard working and they greet you pleasantly wherever you go. They are constantly looking to see if you need another drink or the next food item. Kudos to Cesar, who served us twice at Maria Marie and La Cantina Adelita. He went above and beyond in making our meals so enjoyable. The manager at the restaurant was also friendly, respectful, and helpful. The hotel essentially has 4 restaurants. It's my first time in Cancun and I chose Hyatt Zilara after reading all the reviews on google and yelp that talked about the excellent food. The food definitely did not disappoint. My favorite restaurant was Maria Marie even though the view is not as good as Punta Vista. Top items I got at Maria Marie were: lobster and beef tostadas, octopus with mole, and pumpkin dessert. Punta Vista had great fish with risotto and steak. Teppanyaki was also very enjoyable and tasty. I actually didn't expect to much from Spice, the international buffet, but it was actually amazing! Breakfast is pretty much the same daily, but they have different items/theme everyday for other meals. I didn't care too much about drinks, but they were all to the point! The drinks are properly made (and not watered down), and the bartenders are very prompt. They keep your glass flowing at restaurants and the pool. They have amazing well-crafted cocktails at Maria Marie and Mixology Lab. I can tell the hotel is making an effort to care about the environment because they have reusable plastic cups (for outdoor drink), no straws, and having reusable bottles of shampoo and conditioner. One of the perks at Zilara is that you have activities planned throughout the day. My boyfriend and I went to our first pilates and yoga class, pottery class, and tequila and wine tasting class. They always had some sort of performance to watch at night. One of my favorite event was the "Mexican kermes." I think I had THE best al pastor tacos and churros on that night. Hyatt Zilara had everything: great food and drinks, service, views, and comfort.

Yelp
this trip was awesome... being globalists paid off here !! upgraded ocean front room. Alberto greeted us from the taxi and was amazing the whole trip. other stand-outs were Carlos at social bar, enjoyed talking to him and his smoked drinks were sooo cool. Blanca at breakfast was soo sweet and kind. Our personal assistant was awesome and arranged for a most wonderful last dinner created by Luis and Antonio... what a night !! All the staff here are wonderful. after 5 days we could have stayed longer, which is rare for me. what we enjoyed the most was adults only and a smaller resort. we made some great friends here.... the beach here is the bomb !! had drinks in the ocean... another first !! would be happy to return here. almost forgot about the sunrises from our balcony, every morning was stunning.

Yelp
For what it is it deserves 4 stars. I did not love it and won't be going back but it did deliver for the price point. All inclusive adult only (18+) and all the rooms have ocean facing views. There are swim up room options as well as larger suites. We had an upper floor ocean front room. There was an older jacuzzi tub in the living room that we didn't use. The bed was nice and newer, decent size balcony with a gorgeous view as well. 827 had a huge and pretty private balcony and we were there for a few nights. Unfortunately I like my A/C a lot and on the top floor it was impossible to get it cooler than 73 even late at night. We moved down to 530 which I think is a more standard balcony and view and had several balconies and even some windows within view so not nearly as private. The restaurants were all good. Asiana and their menu did not disappoint. Maria Maria was also delicious. The bars were all a bit of a bummer once the pool bar closed at 6 the lobby bar picked up but no AC makes this girl not last long. This place has a not a late night party spot. I was surprised by the number of larger groups. I would not go back here for a romantic get away. Even the "quiet" side of the pool was over run by large groups. The spa was lovely. We had a couples massage and did the water experience which I loved! It's dry sauna, hot sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge and then a regular pool with different water features. The wet sauna is no joke. Hottest ever by far. I'm walking but can't do stairs so this is my perspective- Accessibility was only ok. Lobby bathroom was not actually accessible for a walker much less a wheelchair, although I didn't ask if there was one somewhere else that was. I did appreciate walk in showers with handheld shower head. There are ramps on both sides of the lobby level to get to the pool area stair free and there is a ramp down to the beach as well. There was no pool lift that I saw and only two sets of stairs with full railings, one on each side. No shallow beach entry or ramp or anything unfortunately. Staff were all very kind and helpful. Mango daiquiris were on point. Cabanas were cool, just get a free one off to the side unless you are going to spend all day at the pool. It's $69 a day to rent one of the close in cabanas as of 7/2023.

Yelp
Such a beautiful resort. From the second you walk all the staff members greet you with smiles. It is placed on a perfect section of the beach. The water is extremely crystal clear and further out has the best blues I have seen. What made them lose a star are the restaurants. Although almost all of the food was good, there are times during the middle of the day that they are ALL closed. I also did not like that you cannot order food by the pools. The buffet at Spice and the tepanyaki at Asiana are musts!! The hotel was also very dead. As it's adults only we expected it to be more lively. If you want a relaxing, quiet vacation come here. Do not recommend for a bachelorette weekend!!

Yelp
We had a great experience at Zilara. The only reason it doesn't earn 5* is because of some issues with the room. I'm still trying to find a resort that has excellent construction and maintenance. Everything else was great. Every dish we ate ranged from great to wonderful (outside of the buffet). The service at every juncture was excellent. We also didn't get the standard attempt at a timeshare sale which was nice. We heard many good things from other guests about the excursions offered. We enjoyed all the entertainment. All in all, a solid experience.

L. A. H.

Yelp
The food is terrific! Many fresh fruits and veggies, even gluten free options. Lovely pool and very attentive staff. The spa packages and single services at the hotel were extremely over priced. However, there were amazing massages beachside. Love the wildlife!

Ramon L.

Yelp
In this case I can only say that the staff at this hotel is outstanding, excellent treatment, incredible customer service, I loved it. Another thing is the food, I recommend it, in general the food in Mexico in general is fantastic. My only complaint is the drinks. The drinks are not good at all, I do not recommend drinking anything there. But in general we had a good time. That is why I give them these stars. Thank you for everything.

Yelp
Ended up stepping it up from some of the other resorts I've stayed out here in Cancun for a more relaxing vacation and booked this place cause of the reviews. Checking in - The process was seamless and arrived very early in the morning and they got us in early with a noon check in. Venue - Place is very nice and well kept up. The lobby is huge and they offer night shows, mixing them up each day. Bars - They have a few bars here with a ok selection of alcohol with Gray Goose and Din Julio Blanco being the better options. They do offer Red Bull and 1942 and others for a premium. They also have a separate bar that's a mixology bar that has some cool drinks also. Staff - People here are very nice and helpful from Checking in, rooms, pool, restaurants and any service needed. Rooms - We had one of the rooms that wasn't on the main building but it was huge with a huge patio with great Oceanview, jacuzzi tub, and fridge stocked with beers and waters. Pool - Simple but functional only downside the pool bar didn't extend to the fun section of the pool area so you would have to get up to grab drinks. They also had activities that made it fun to watch and participate during the day. Food - The quality of the food and options has by far exceeded the level from any other all inclusive place I have stated at and was amazing to have good quality food everyday. Also this place is 18 n up and makes it great to not have to deal with kids screaming or roaming around. I have those at home lol. Overall it's a great resort and would highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Yelp
The good, the bad, the ugly. I'd like to start with the beautiful views. The extra money for a room with an ocean view and a small balcony is totally worth it. Absolutely breathtaking. I had a jr suite, and it was nice and spacious inside as well. The customer service was unparalleled. Noah and Luis made my cabana experience exceptional. I will say the fact that you can only get burgers and pizza after paying almost 200 (a bottle of tequila was included) at an all-inclusive did not sit well with me. I also wish the info had been volunteered that there were free cabanas. Alejandro gave a great massage at the Zen Spa. The bad-- the food was mediocre at best, service still amazing, but the food gets 2 stars from me. Also. I kept getting harassed by the "membership/loyalty program" people. I felt if I didn't do their 90-minute session either, I'd have to run and hide every time I saw them or kick them in the shins so they would leave me alone. Since I didn't want to go to Mexican jail, I sat through 90 minutes of torture. The Ugly -- Don't get the leftover (older design) bracelets they try to sell you as a room key. Mine broke the 1st day. When I brought it to Sebastián's attention, he boot leg tied it, and I told him I feel like this is still going to come off. When it inevitably did, I actually had to call for a supervisor before they would replace the 10$ bracelet, and this is after spending close to 3000.00 at the resort. Now, this place was close to 4.5 stars until my last encounter before departure. I was clearly bit multiple times by something. Now, I am not certain if it was while I was in my bed or in the cabana. When I spoke with the front desk, I told them exactly that. Now, I am a physician mind you, that diagnoses BED BUGS and scabies bites very regularly, so needless to say, I was very INSULTED when the manager stated it was impossible for them to have bed bugs in this tropical climate....1st anyone with common sense knows saying something is impossible is a very risky assumption. 2ndly he said it would only happen if Europeans brought them from a cold climate, which is an asinine statement. Instead of him just apologizing and saying he would look into it, he kept pressing the issue that there was no way BED BUGS could be in the room. That actually left a very poor taste in my mouth, and it is for that reason alone I would not return.

Yelp
A great hotel with an amazing staff. Highly recommend, and check out the spa. Facilities are really nice and the beach is beautiful.

Yelp
5 stars all around!!! Had such an incredible experience here and built such amazing memories and friendships. Who would have thought! This is an all-inclusive, adults-only resort with 2 massive pools, 7 incredible restaurants & a private beach with views for days. We had so much fun here that we barely ended up leaving our hotel, and we are typically the adventurous type, we love to explore. We had so much fun at the pool all day. We met so many fun couples at the bar and we all ended up meeting up every day at the pool, had endless drinks at the amazing pool bar, played pool volleyball and other pool games, cleaned up in the evenings for nice dinners together at night, partied on the beach, and so much more! The hotel staff were AMAZING and all the bar tenders at the pool bar were just WOW. They all got to know us pretty well and hooked it up like crazy! The room was great and super clean with an incredible view. The restaurant options were impressive. We really hated having to leave this resort to check out other places outside of it haha! I can't wait to come back here one day!

Yelp
I am not a world traveler and this was my first experience with an all-inclusive hotel. I am the type of person that when I find something that I enjoy it is hard for me to go a different direction in the future. Lets just say I was already plotting my return trip to the Hyatt Zilara before I hit the pool for the first time. Pro's - Only 25,000 World of Hyatt points per night for 2 adults. - Staff - The staff was always friendly and helpful. Each person felt as if they were truly happy to be there and help you enjoy your vacation. The resort was beautiful and clean. There are a lot of restaurant options and they were even willing to cater to me as a picky eater. - Free poolside cabanas overlooking the ocean. I never thought I'd see the day where I spent the majority of a vacation sitting by/in the pool doing absolutely nothing and enjoying it. - 24 hour room service included. I mean who doesn't like dessert after a long hard day of lounging at the pool. Cons (Trust me when I say I am really digging deep here.) - Directions and clarity around COVID testing. The fact that they offer it is great, but when you go to the testing area there are not any clear instructions as to what you are supposed to do to check in, get scheduled, etc. - Lunch Buffet as Spice. I found Spice to be better for breakfast. It felt like the food was not as fresh during the lunch hours, even though there was a wide selection. - Soda - for some reason the sodas from the bar and at some restaurants always tasted off, almost like a diet soda. Not sure what the deal was there, but the cans of soda in the mini-bar tasted great. - Slippery floors - No matter how dry you think you got your feet it felt like you were taking your life and limb in your own hands. Just be super careful, especially when getting out of the in room jacuzzi tub. Nobody wants to test their medical insurance availability in Mexico.

Yelp
SPEECHLESS I was a bit skeptical of an all inclusive, however this location was perfect. I was beyond pleased with service, Ingrid at concierge would go above and beyond. Alfredo at punta vista was always very nice, explained menu and fast. Resorts has @7 different restaurants, all great food, cooked to order, the waiter will always greet asking if any allergies. This place truly made us feel at home. Location: 5+ star the views were priceless Staff: 5+ star, everyone will greet you at all times, assure you were taken care. Bilingual, English/Spanish Food: 5+ star, I would try new restaurant everyday and new food, always pleased Parking: valet Lifeguards: 5+, we were at red flag current and needed the use of the lifeguards, they were quick to get our team from water COVID: mask not require but encourage, if you don't have any you can ask and will be provided. General manager Milan was beyond awesome. He will take the time to make sure everyone was enjoying their vacation.

Nathan J.

Yelp
This is why people come to Mexico! The service is phenomenal...if you could complain tell me where is comparable. You are paying for an all inclusive which really leaves the stress out of where will I eat and tip. This place has plenty of food and alcohol. Anyone that says they water down their drinks they do not. We walked up and down the beach in Cancun and I just felt like Hyatt Zilara was the best. I wish I could come back here every year but I cannot. I have to check out other places in Cancun. The best part of Cancun for me is the people and services. This is something you no longer get in America and pay much more for nothing so yes I was impressed with Mexico.

Yelp
I truly can't say enough amazing things about this resort. We're here for Christmas and the customer service is absolutely incredible. Every interaction we have had, has been so kind. We greatly appreciate everyone who's helped make our stay so memorable and we greatly appreciate all those who have worked over Christmas Eve and Christmas. Thank you for the incredible food, unbelievably kind customer service, all the work and effort that went into to Christmas show and buffets. You've made us feel like family and we are so appreciative. Manuel, Jessica, Eloisa from the Spa -- thank you for the massages and service. Monica, Ingrid, Ana, and Jocelyn -- thank you for checking on us everyday. The bartenders, thank you for getting me tipsy by noon yesterday hahaha I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you again

Kelsey M.

Yelp
In short: this place is amazing. Stay here. In much further detail: you can't go wrong with staying here. The check in process is easy and quick, they'll ask you if you want to add a spa package or Covid insurance (for a small price it covers additional nights at the resort in case you test positive). Other than that it's pretty straight forward and sippin on your first 'rum punch' pool side. (Highly recommend asking for that drink). I highly recommend you tip everyone that provides some sort of service for you. If we were staying at the pool for a while we gave our server $20 for the day and they provided excellent service the entire day. We also tipped after ordering a coffee or eating at any of the restaurants including the buffet. Please tip people!! My favorite breakfast place was the buffet (and coffee shop for coffee), and then Maria Marie for dinner. Although, all of it was amazing. This resort is a perfect place to finally experience what true relaxation means. I seriously never knew that feeling was until I came here. Thank you to everyone at Hyatt Zilara for the wonderful experience! We will definitely be back.

Courtney W.

Yelp
Fantastic first time in Cancun staying at Hyatt Zilara! Going all inclusive was a great decision. All of the meals are included, there is a beautiful pool, restaurants open all have great options, and direct access to the beach with cabanas. You can also do paddle boarding or kayaking at a marina on the bay which is easily accessible by public bus. Staff is very kind and helpful everywhere. Would definitely consider staying here again on another visit.

Fannie B.

Yelp
Amazing service and food! This place is first class 5 star! No sargassum beach is cleaned daily. No need to reserve cabanas or chairs there are plenty by the pool and on the beach. No hassles from time share people ever. They never approached me my whole trip. They clean room 2-3 times a day and fill fridge with soda beer and water. Amazing daily entertainment. Amazing yoga classes, amazing arts and craft classes. Dinner reservations not needed and plenty of seating available. Please tip generously even though it is an all inclusive, your per night price does not benefit the employees. Their hourly wage does not change. They rely on your generosity,

Schaun D.

Yelp
The place is awesome!!! The location is great for a weekend end get away!!! The room was like a palace and with a hot tub in it!!!! The shower was like a car wash with so many choices. Room service rocked and the open bars was no joke. The icing on the cake was the evening shows while dinning. For the outside fun was so many choices from private cabanas to Parasailing. There are also day trip to Cenotes to swim in underwater caves. We did four and one had a zip line drop in. Speaking of zip lines we did four trek, what fun we had doing it all. We took an Uber to the Cenotes but there was a no single to go back to the hotel. One of the team members from the Cenotes have us a ride to the next town get a signal for the Uber pick up. Don't pay a Taxi cause it will cost a lot more. They only reason they did not get a 5 star rating was the hot tub jets were not that strong, Like I always saw try it you may just like it.

Yelp
All in all a fabulous hotel. If you're going to spend the money on an all inclusive, this is the spot for you. I have been to several, and this one was great because you never had to wait for drinks or food very long at all. There was always availability in the restaurants. The gym was bar none the nicest I have been to that I can recall, and it had a long lap pool right on the roof outside the door of the gym. The rooms weren't exceptionally fancy, and we never used the hot tub inside the room, but they were nice enough. I did like the bathroom. We were hardly ever in those rooms though -just to sleep and get ready for the evening. The spot was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and quick to respond. A shout out to David John, the bell boy at the front who made us feel very welcome.

Yelp
Another stay at the Hyatt Zilara calls for a review update! This time, my experience was downgraded to 3 stars. We also found out that management changed, so this could be the reason. Similar to last time, I still feel that the grounds and the room receive high marks. The pool / beach area is impeccably clean and beautiful. There are two spacious pools and it's not hard to find a lounge chair. Cabanas were a bit tougher, but you never feel like you are scrambling to find any sort of outdoor space, which is not always the case at a resort this large. All of the rooms are ocean facing and have a balcony with a hammock. They are spacious and have a jacuzzi tub inside which is fun. The only real downside of the room is the bed... both the mattress and pillows were super hard. We stayed at the Marriott in Cancun directly before the Hyatt and that bed was much comfier and softer. Unfortunately, there are a few areas where Hyatt Zilara really misses the mark: -There are only two speciality sit down restaurant options for dinner. The food at both is not great. Last time I stayed here they had a third option that was really nice (and included) and this time it was an extra charge. If we were staying for more than two nights I would have been tempted to eat off the resort, which is frustrating given the high nightly charge. I've stayed at Secrets (also in the hotel zone) and they have several quality sit down restaurants included in the price. -A Caribbean all inclusive vacation is supposed to be relaxing, right? From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel until the moment we left we were harassed to spend money. You couldn't get a towel without being asked if you were ready to book an excursion. You couldn't sit on a lounge chair without being asked if you wanted to pay extra for a premium cabana or a massage at the spa. They really need to chill with this. At one point I actually needed to ask someone to leave me alone. -There is no bathroom at the pool level, so you'll need to go down the beach and walk through the sand or walk through the hotel lobby. -All rooms are equipped with an iPad where you can scroll through the room service menu, restaurant menus, etc. Our room didn't have one, and when we called to ask for one it took several hours bring it to us. They also did not replenish the beer in the fridge. There are definitely things that I can overlook -- but the biggest turn off was the aggressive staff. I understand the need to make sales, but management should reevaluate how they ask their staff to go about this. Though the grounds are beautiful I probably wouldn't return because of that and the low quality food.

Nicole R.

Yelp
Daniel at the pool is amazing!!! So much fun and a great workout!!! Beautiful resort!!

Yelp
Celebrated my 30th birthday at Hyatt Zilara! A gorgeous, no children allowed All Inclusive resort in Cancun. We got the Deluxe Oceanfront Suite that comes with a Beach Cabana. If you're beach people, this is a great amenity upgrade. The balcony is a little bigger than the Junior Oceanfront Suite but honestly (if you're pool people like us) save on the room and book a pool cabana every day -will run you about $140/day unless there is a party Tue and Fri the cabanas are $175 and don't come with food. But they all come with bottle service and a personal server. Beach cabanas are more secluded with other beach cabanas and set very close together (closer than the pool ones) Also, the Deluxe room comes with the Zenspa visit where you can do the 7 stages water experience -but you can book a massage and get access to this and also get pay the $30 and do the 7 stages thing. It's worth it. I enjoyed the water experience more than my actual massage. Spa prices are affordable and they offer specials just ask at check in! They don't serve 'alcohol' until 11am but you can get bubbles, a mimosa or Bloody Mary at breakfast lol I enjoyed all of the dining but especially Spice. It's 'buffet' style but due to covid you don't serve yourself which I liked better. The food was really, really good here. Breakfast is 10/10 Pelicanos was also good but it's too dang hot to eat there. You'd kill for a breeze and food takes a while. Asiana was excellent. Get extra gyoza and sake! You need a reservation for this place but not the others. Maria Marie was also good -authentic- the lamb app was bomb. Coffee shop is a must in the AM if you have an early riser in the group. That's also where the ice cream parlor is hiding. Muffins were good. Picture a baby Starbucks Cocktails by the pool, I suggest the Riviera Maya 3 layered colorful fruity frozen drink. Strawberry daiquiri wasn't too sweet but the pina colada is not good if you're a pina snob. I am. It's true. But hubby was drinking Miami Vices and loved them so to each their own. Jose at Valet, Humberto our cabana server, Paoula at checkin and Daniel (outside concierge for booking cabanas) we're all excellent. I cannot say enough good things about Paula. She went above and beyond when things didn't go right the first time and made our stay and experience stellar. Go! Enjoy! You won't regret it

Yelp
I write this review with a caveat: I despise all-inclusive hotels. I only stay at one if I'm pressured to do so by friends. All that said, this was the best all-inclusive I've visited. I stayed here for 4 days in November. Rather than write a lengthy post, I'll quickly share my pros and cons for this property. Pros: * The food is not terrible. The best restaurants are Pelicanos and La Adelita Cantina. * The bartenders at the swim-up pool bar are skilled and generous with their pours. * There are plenty of activities and fitness options to explore. ‍ * It's adults-only!!! Cons: * Despite operating at reduced capacity, there were still too many people clustered near the beach and pool for my linking. But I was one of those fools who traveled during a pandemic, so that's on me. ‍ * Like most all-inclusives from major hotel chains, this property lacked innovative design and decor. I'd trade the abundance of food and mediocre drinks for captivating architecture that uses sustainable materials that are native to the Quintana Roo area. * There is very little to do nearby because it's surrounded by other massive hotels.

Yelp
As frequent travelers, we enjoyed our 1 night stay @ Hyatt Zilara. My boyfriend is a repeat guest. It was my first time @ this luxurious resort. The hotel is located on turquoise beach with comfortable beach beds to admire gorgeous views & spacious pools. The resort team is welcoming & accommodating. Upon arrival, Erick @ the front desk was gracious & patient to provide higher guest room per my boyfriend's request. Bellman, Eduardo, was friendly & attentive. He showed every restaurant & bars as we walked to the elevators; amenities in our guest room & asked where we would like for him to place our 3 large luggage pieces in our junior suite. Enrique & Gisel @ Spice enthusiastically welcomed us to our seats & served our drinks. We relished our meals because of the exceptional teams that provide assisted food service @ Spice. DJ played great dance music @ the pool which creates fun atmosphere to swim & dance. We look forward to returning to home for more than 1 night stay & to enjoy the light shows @ 9pm. We recommend Hyatt zilara for a relaxing retreat with various fine dining & live entertainment on site
