Yelp
Is there anything better than walking around the farmer's market on a Sunday morning with a tote full of fresh, local produce and an (insert favorite morning drink of your choice) in your hand? Now, imagine all of that against the beautiful backdrop of Hyde Park Village. The Hyde Park Fresh Market quickly became my favorite farmer's market from its inception. It has changed and grown a lot over the years, but it still tops my list as the best in the area (although the Water Street Sunday Market is a close second). The one caveat is that you have to get there at or before it begins at 10 a.m. or else you'll have a hard time finding any parking. The garages fill up quick, and the search only gets more difficult the closer you get to noon. But if you do get there early enough, parking in the garages is free and places you right in the midst of the market, which spans the entire length of Hyde Park Village. I've always found an awesome variety of local vendors at this market, from produce to breads and treats, local butters, cheeses and pastas, and all of the beautiful home decor, jewelry, accessories, and other wares you never knew you needed. You can even get your knives sharpened by a vendor who is there every month! So, take a walk, bring your own bags (not because they don't have bags, but because it's nice to the planet), come hungry, and chat up the locals. You'll never feel more part of your community than when you're at a farmer's market.

Yelp
No doubt the best market in the area. Great vendors, great selection of food and goods.

Yelp
Such a fun relaxing way to spend your Sunday! We got to try great food at a good price, listen to live music and see cool handmade goods!

Yelp
Open the first Sunday monthly from 11 AM to 3 PM, there are approx 120 vendors. Most take debit/credit cards. There is also live music-- a new musician(s) each month-- SEE PIC. Parking can be a beast-- don't risk parking on the streets where it's prohibited. (I misinterpreted a poorly placed sign & earned a $30 ticket, which I'd fight if I wanted to miss work to go to court.) There is a parking gargage; I recommend using it. We saw lots of the following: vendors selling cold tea & homemade desserts, produce, misc. canned foods, & those selling prepared foods-- crepes, Mexican, Thai, burgers, sausage, chicken, lobster, Latin American, etc. We also noticed a booth that sold rustic breads; a booth offering salsa; fish dips, steaks, at least two vegan food merchants; and misc booths selling candles, homemade dog food, handmade jewelry, cutting boards, art, sports shirts, plants, etc. But FOOD of one kind or another was offered more than anything else. If you love cookies & want a delicious one, definitely visit the Mabel's Baking Company booth; the large $5 cookies are amazing; we shared a Chocolate Peanut Butter one. It's so thick & rich that it's enough for three people! (SEE PIC) I recommend this market due to the caliber of merchandise & the friendly vendors; the beauty of the tree-lined streets; & the live music. If you don't want to be handed your items in plastic bags, be sure to bring along a cloth bag. It's doubtful you'll make it out of the area without some shopping-- at least for food.

Yelp
My favorite outdoor market in Tampa, and quite possibly my favorite outdoor market ever. It takes place on the 1st Sunday of every month from 10 AM - 3 PM and offers a variety of vendors selling everything from plants to cheese, dog bandanas to poems. They also have several food vendors and food trucks for dining while you explore. Every month I visit and love stopping by the SereniTeas booth, where they offer freshly brewed teas and juices, plus a selection of farm-fresh eggs. I also love the produce vendor (I do not recall the name, but every month they have a long table across from Lululemon and Sprinkles, NOT the produce vendor more towards Bar Taco and directly next to the orchid vendor). If I go early in the morning I like to stop by the empanada vendor who offers a selection of treats, but my go-to is a sausage egg and cheese breakfast empanada. I am also obsessed with Gulf Coast Sourdough, especially their strawberry swirl sourdough that is offered during the Florida strawberry season. Don't get scared by the long line that typically wraps around this booth: the wait is worth it and the hype is real!

Yelp
We come here EVERY. SINGLE. SUNDAY. It's that good! And we haven't even hit all the vendors yet!! This is probably the best market in Tampa. The WHOLE of hyde park village is filled with tents that range from produce, food trucks, jewelry, plants and flowers, fish dip (a personal favorite), pasta, lemonade, pickles, sourdough bread (another personal favorite), children's books, dog accessories, clothes, art, you name it! It's super family friendly for all ages and there is probably 1 dog for every 3rd person if you need a puppy fix or want to bring your fur baby. Speaking of- they will sometimes also have dogs for adoption!! Love that as were a rescue family ourselves. It runs from 10-3pm but note that parking is a pain so parking on the streets in Hyde park is sometimes your best bet over the garages if you're not there early. Some vendors, like the sourdough bread guy, sometimes will sell out by noon so keep that in mind too. We usually shop around and stop for lunch at one of the restaurants or head home to cook up whatever we bought and have it for dinner.

Yelp
Great Saturday morning activity. Love to bring the pup. Lots of variety of foods to try and good mix of products from local vendors. You can always stick around for brunch at one of the Hyde park restaurants if you want more of a sit down meal. I always end up with wayy too much baked goods by the time I leave. Parking definitely becomes more of a problem into the afternoon and I always try and go first thing in the morning.

Yelp
If you're a fan of outdoor markets, you have to try this one at least once. It happens every 1st Sunday and it's situated along a good stretch of Hyde park. There a BUNCH of vendors and a lot of them take cards. Sometimes they switch up the vendors but there are some OGs that are always present. There's food, drinks, fresh produce, artisanal goods--everything. The best part is that you can also enjoy the actual brick and mortar shops and restaurants in the area like pottery barn, bar taco or sprinkles. It's great for a date or family time. There's so many local businesses to patronize that it's a great way to invest in your own community and small businesses. I always leave happy with my purchase.

Yelp
This is a very nice market with a fun variety of food, craft, snack, dessert, vegetable, pasta, beverage, bread, and ethnic chisine. There are also restaurants, shops and a coffee cottage in the are of Hyde Park. Good times. 20 Shekels gourmet breads and littles are a highlight. Very good empanadas. Lots of dogs. Reg Hyde Park stores and eateries here too.

Yelp
I cannot believe that it took me this long to get turned onto the Fresh Market of Hyde Park but now I'm addicted. In the same vein (and same management person I was told) as other markets in the Tampa Bay Area, the Fresh Market of Hyde park offers various local products, goods, and food from local businesses. The Fresh Market of Hyde Park is held the first Sunday of every month. If you are skeptical of its greatness, I definitely think checking out this market once is worth it. There is a play area for the kiddos (along with other kid-geared merchandise) should they get bored and it is dog friendly. :) The market expanse is the center street of Hyde Park Village and complimentary parking is found in the garages. Every time I go to the market I see something new and worth trying. I suggest bringing cash however some merchants accept credit cards. You can buy anything from fresh vegetables to jarred sauces and spreads, duck Thai entrees, beef jerky, live plants, lobster rolls, knife sharpening...pretty much anything you didn't know you already wanted. :) I particularly enjoy the fresh offerings from local farms. For food stuffs I recommend 20 Shekles (they offer sprouted bread-anything sprouted is my jam!), Mouna's, Surinder's Kitchen (also available at Rollin Oats), Pastabilities (who also makes bomb patties, I recommend the lamb), Big Crush smoothies, and Maine-acs. I always stave off my hunger with the anticipation of eating selections from the market for my first meal of the day. I suggest doing this if you'd like to try some of what the food vendors have to offer. Many vendors do have take-away products and bags but I suggest bringing your own reusable shopping bags to take your goodies. If you tire of what the market had to offer, there are various shops and restaurants to browse in the area. Bring the whole family and your friends for some perusing of what the market offers and I don't think you will be disappointed! At the very least it gets you out of your house and walking around enjoying the beautiful weather Tampa has to offer.

Yelp
Quick and healthy spot that's perfect for lunch or dinner. Take out or eat inside or outside to enjoy a perfect meal

Yelp
What a perfect January day for the first Hyde Park Village of the New Year! Sunny as can be, everyone was here. Families and friends gathered together today for a perfect Sunday taking in the shade at the circle, or checking out the local eats. You can't go wrong with some strawberry lemonade, or a homemade popsicle, or maybe a Arnold Palmer Mango slushy at Big Crush Slush Company. Looking for sweets? Check out the homemade cookies, or the to die for Whoopie Pies at Paper confections. Warm food can range from Bahn MI sandwiches, thai food, Ethiopian food, empanadas in every flavor, & don't forget my all time favorite Lobster Roll at Maine-iacs. Full belly, time to look around. Check out the exotic tropical fruit trees, orchids, jewelry, produce, fresh organic eggs, doggie treats, healthy juices, and green tea concoctions. Come here and browse and spend, & just take full advantage of Florida's awesome weather. I love all of these fresh markets, but I especially love the lay out of this one. Every single Tampa market has its own unique layout, and that makes it perfect to check them all out.

Yelp
One of my favorite events in Hyde Park Village is The Fresh Market at Hyde Park. The Fresh Market is an open-air retail market that offers local food, hand crafts, and live music in Hyde Park Village on the first Sunday of each month, year round from 10am to 3pm. On the first Sunday every month over 50 vendors and food trucks will line the streets from South Dakota Avenue to Snow Avenue. Local produce and food, cold-pressed juices, hand crafted clothing and jewelry, art, and other services and crafts are available for purchase at the vendor booths. Some of my favorite vendors include: 20 Shekels Bread (garlic ciabatta bread) Miss Pat's Cookies (oatmeal raison cookies) Piquant (pastries and cronuts) Tebella (blueberry pomegranate iced tea) The Coconut Cart (fresh coconut water, straight from a coconut!) The market is free and dogs are welcome. Many vendors set out water dishes for the thirsty puppies and several vendors sell organic dog treats. Free parking is available in three parking garages. (One is located next to Timpano's, the other is across the street from Timpano's and the third garage is located next to Nature's Table.) TIP: Most vendors do accept debit/credit cards, but cash is always king. Be sure to bring small bills!

Yelp
This is the 2nd monthly farmers market I've been to in the last couple of months. I was very happy to all the vendors lined up on an Easter Sunday. My hubby and I tried Buddy Brew's iced coffee and it was way better than Starbucks. They need to open a swanky coffee house in North Tampa.. In the CArrollwood/Northdale area! There were a lot of great artisans.. One whom Made art with recycled materials.. Very inventive. We shared a chicken satay dish on salad that was quite delicious. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Nice open market which takes place every 1st Sunday of each month at the Hyde Park Village from 10am-3pm. There are vendors selling a variety of items from fresh produce, eggs, ready to eat food, breads, art, jewelry, etc. It's a nice area to hang out and spend some time walking around if it's not too hot (I avoid it altogether in the summer). There is a parking garage free of charge which gets full quickly, otherwise there is street parking. Do try the rum cakes, the Gulfcoast sourdough bread, Mother kombucha among others.

Yelp
Yay! First review of 2015! This is a such great market! So many vendors and so much to buy. There is something for everyone here: clothing, jewelry, sweets, treats for furry friends. You name it, it's here! Some of my favorites are: Stamper Cheese - delicious cheeses and cheese curds (free samples too!) Craft Brew Peanuts - Helles Lager Boiled Peanuts Paper Crane Confections - Mia's delicious whoopie pies Tree Dog Roots - Beet Chips and other healthy snacks Maine-iacs - lobster rolls I have lived less than a mile from here for many years and I can't believe I have deprived myself and have not been here before. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to everyone. Be mindful that the parking garages fill up fast but there is a lot of street parking. Also, you may want to stop by an ATM before, some vendors are CASH ONLY.

Yelp
The Fresh Market has always been an event I look forward to every month at Hyde Park Village and one I will be so sad to leave upon moving! This was one of the first introductions I had to the local food scene and a ton of nearby vendors selling everything from soup to hats and even soap. Hyde Park Village hosts the market on the first Sunday of the month, packing lots of local punch into the small little village area! You can buy fresh produce here and try tons of new food. I love the granola stand and the soup place that comes here every month. On top of all the vendors, the Fresh Market also has a ton of other food options like crepes, seafood, bratwurst, Popsicles and sometimes Piquant (a local French bakery) sells their cronuts there! This is a dog friendly event and one I would highly suggest checking out if you are ever in the area on the first Sunday of the month!

Yelp
Really fun and twice a month. I like that it's held in Saturday so it doesn't clash with the other farmers markets here in Tampa. There's also live music which gives it a super small town feel as you shop and meet all the vendors.

Yelp
So glad we made the drive over to Tampa for this market! My boyfriend & I found this market while just searching through Facebook events & it seemed intriguing, so since he needed to go to the Apple store soon anyways, we stopped by here before heading to International Plaza. So glad we did! I got tomato free salsa from Sassy Girls Salsa, a beautiful orchid from a local grower, some cheddar cheese & garlic cheddar cheese curds from a dairy dealer, & swooned over some glass work & metal work by different artists. What's nice about this market is that shops line it too; on a hot day you can explore a few booths, hop into a coffee shop to cool down, check out a few more booths, wander into a clothing store, etc. This market had food vendors that you could get lunch from or you can get ingredients for dinner like meat, eggs, tons of produce, fresh herbs, & so much more. It was just a truly great experience & parking was free in the garage too! A lot of the vendors were very friendly, & some even negotiate - my boyfriend bought the orchid for $30 when it was priced $40. It's every first Sunday of the month & you better believe we'll be back!

Yelp
My favorite Sunday of the month! This is one of the best markets I have been to in the Tampa Bay area. The vendors range from fresh produce (at a good price) to local food stands (my favorite is Mouna's Delicacies) and food trucks. There are also some handmade goods as well as live music. I get to the market pretty early (goes from 10am-3pm) and parking is plentiful in the parking garage. However, even going at a later time I have still found a spot as people are constantly coming and going.I cannot say enough good things about this fresh market. There is truly something for everyone!

Yelp
Held the first Sunday of every month, this year round market is fantastic. Tampa Bay Markets does an excellent job of bringing in unique and special vendors. There is a little something different each month and many of the same vendors so you can find your favorites. Urban Canning Co and 20 Shekels are two of the best.

Yelp
Love, love, love this market! It's laid out well, with different categories of tense in different chunks. I appreciate that gifts are near other gifts, food is near other food, and food trucks are near the end. I get a grilled cheese sandwich from the grilled cheese sandwich food truck every time I go. My boyfriend found some delicious homemade hot sauce. On my last visit, I also found a gift of a bracelet for my friend. Love this market, it's huge, with great vendors.

Yelp
I really look forward to this every month. So much variety from soaps to foods to art this market has it all. There's a Hawaii slush type food truck it's sooooo good I get them every time!!!

Kate P.

Yelp
This is super fun! Always look forward to the first Sunday of ever month! They have so many "booths" that have hand made crafts such as bracelets, rings, furniture, etc. Also a wide variety of food options. I do recommend bringing water and a small book bag to put keys, phone, wallet, etc in so your hands are free to pick things up and stuff. Other than that, I LOVE THIS PLACE. Everyone is always happy and has dogs!

Yelp
My family and I had a wonderful Sunday morning exploring the Hyde Park Fresh Market. There is a wide array of vendors such as jewelry, produce, bakeries, food trucks, soaps, and so much more. We arrived right at 10 when it started and the crowd was manageable. We walked the market for over an hour, and when we were finished, it was difficult to maneuver the stroller. It was such a beautiful day and the vendors were all so friendly, it was easy to see why the crowd was big! We will definitely return!
google avatar

Maggie A.

Yelp
Still my favorite out of all the Tampa area markets. It runs the first Sunday of each month, 10-3 which I think is still too short :(. All the vendors are great. Such good local grown, organic food. Amazing food trucks - the Crepe guy is my go to or the Thai place! The vendors all have a story to tell and it's great to see what hard work and love they put into their products. Most accept credit cards, so bring some cash.

Marguerite X.

Yelp
Just spent 45 annoying minutes driving around the Construction Zone Formerly Known As Hyde Park..... Drove all around looking for the Fresh Market... You know, the grocery store.... I guess this is some once-in-a-while outdoor market? This is NOT a grocery store!!! Very confusing name, should definitely be changed!!!!! However still giving 5 stars because I love local farmers markets! I'm sure it's awesome.

Yelp
The farmer's market in Hyde Park has to be my favorite in Tampa. The vendor selection is great, free garage parking, and the market is manageable in size/crowd. While I love the St. Pete farmer's market, I tend to get a bit overwhelmed with the size and frustrated with the parking situation. There are a few awesome produce vendors at Hyde Park - best one we've found is the gentleman across the street from Lululemon with tables in the grass (no tent). There's a great lady who sells freshly picked mangos, passion fruit, goji berries, and other "unique" fruits - she's so passionate about what she does it's amazing. The organic coffee guys have awesome cold brew iced coffee and if you buy a pound you get a free cold brew. Jamison Bread Company has to be some of the best bread we've ever had....and the baker and his wife are some of the sweet people I've met. Many other vendors to fit everyone's taste. Some vendors accept credit cards, but not all. Check it out!
