this place has heart 🩷 my only advice for new people is if you need to read subtitles to sit near the front but other than that it’s a heartwarming memorable experience

I absolutely love this place, and it will soon be an Austin staple. Hyperreal Film Club is true to its name and feels like a clubhouse. It’s a cozy, friendly community of film enthusiasts that promotes local artists and creators. The chairs are super comfy and the popcorn is tasty. I highly recommend checking it out and seeing movies you can’t see in any other theater.

Hyperreal is the cool movie clubhouse of my dreams! Best popcorn in town, great movie selections, and a great place to chat and meet like-minded film nerds. They have someone intro every film which is a really great touch. I love getting some background on the films before seeing them. They also throw in goofy antics like dressing up and using props. This is definitely not your average movie going experience! See y’all at the movie ✌🏻 🍿

As a chronically extroverted person who struggles to sit still for more than five minutes, I generally don’t enjoy going to the movies. (You can’t talk or wiggle at the movies!!) But I love going to Hyperreal. I always leave with a deeper sense of connection to art, artists, and communities that appreciate the arts. I cried watching the Muppet Movie here! It was the best!

Vibes were immaculate for face off I’ll be joining as a member here. Needs more junior mints and olipop

This place is a hidden gem. Got to see a screening of the short film Motorcycle Mary and hang with some awesome people. This place also has a small soccer court and some pickleball courts. Cool place.
