Google
A friend who lived in Florence for a year recommended this place to me. I am well traveled and an avid foodie. Hands down the best meal of my life. The staff was so kind and friendly. We sat down next to strangers and ended up sharing food, wine & limoncello shots with new friends. I can’t recommend enough and trust the staff when they tell you what their favorites are.

Google
One of my most favorite restaurants in Florence. The food was very delicious. Their Bistecca alla Fiorentina was well prepared. Pasta, salad, and side dishes we had were also tasty. Their house wine was too good to be just house wine. The price is fair and worth every bite. The service is very nice with friendly owner and staff. Strongly recommend. BUT you need to book the table in advance. They are popular.

Google
An unforgettable Tuscan experience! I was lucky enough to discover this authentic gem in Florence – a true Tuscan restaurant that captures the heart and soul of the city. The food was absolutely grandiose, each dish a masterpiece that tells a story. You can truly feel the spirit of Florence in every bite! The atmosphere is warm and genuine, with mostly local Italians dining here – a sign that this place is the real deal. As a passionate eater, I want to thank the entire team for the marvelous experience and the incredible pleasure you provide through your food. Everything is clearly made with love, and that makes it truly unforgettable. Grazie mille!

I had the best steak of my entire life — and I’m not even a steak person. This local gem absolutely deserves the hype, so make sure to book in advance (I called ahead!). The filet mignon? Thick, tender, flavorful, and zero gaminess. It melted in my mouth and sent my happiness levels through the roof. I’ve never loved steak this much — I could eat this again and again without ever getting tired of it. The warm atmosphere, attentive service, and that beautiful glass of Chianti Classico… perfection. Italy, with its unbeatable food, wine, and gelato — how could anyone not fall in love with it?💖

Every time my husband and I go to Florence we make sure we make a reservation to go to the I'Brindellone. The food is absolutely delicious, every dish is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a truly memorable dining experience.

Google
Recommended by our cycle tour guide and it didn’t disappoint. They found us a table despite being very fully booked. Delicious food - left very full and happy.

Google
We saw this place across the street from a restaurant that we had dinner one night and decided to walk in and make a reservation. These quaint little side street restaurants are adorable and the food is always so amazing. Great steak and fried artichokes. Make sure to put l’ Brindellone on your reservation list… It’s worth it!

Google
What a wonderful place! A truly authentic and local experience with the best florentine steak you can dream for. The owner Marcello, suggested a delicious Chianti wine, we couldn’t be more happier. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Yelp
We were staying in an apartment across the street and our local host recommended I'Brindellone for a classic Florentine steak experience. Definitely make a reservation! If you don't have one you will only get in if someone no shows. I walked over to make a reservation and there were not many tables left during the days we were staying there in late September, but we did get a table a few days out. First seating is at 7:30 and they recommended we arrive at 7:15/7:20. People line up starting around 7. The process appears to repeat for 9:00 and 10:30 seatings. We ordered a 1.5kg steak for the three of us and thought we'd never finish, but we did it! The weight does include a bone so it's not as crazy as it sounded when we ordered it. The steak was so tender and flavorful! Heads up they do serve it very rare. It was delicious this way but it might be out of he comfort zone for some. We also enjoyed the Tuscan beans, zucchini blossoms, tomatoes and mozzarella and house chianti wine. Somehow we had room for dessert and enjoyed a biscotti like cookie with a liqueur to dip them in. Atmosphere is casual and has a somewhat rustic feel. Service was great and they have quite the system going here to keep things moving without making guests feel rushed. Definitely a great place to go for amazing Florentine steak!

Yelp
Fantastic authentic delicious meal at very reasonable prices. Awesome! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Visited l'Brindellone on the recommendation of a tour guide. It was absolutely fantastic, I cannot say enough good things. We arrive just after they opened ~7:20p, evidently this is a restaurant that typically requires a reservation, but they were able to seat us sharing a table with another couple who also didn't have a reservation. I was initially hesitant about this but the table was quite large and it was not a problem at all. We ordered the pasta of the day (egg noodles with rabbit), the floretine steak (our reason for choosing this restaurant), and their vegetable of the day- which was described as a fried squash. Our waiter also brought us a plate of their white beans in red sauce to try. I also ordered a glass of their basic Chianti. This dinner was beyond my wildest imagination - everything was perfectly spiced and cooked - our steak was basically just seared, so very very red in the middle and incredibly tender - and HUGE - did I mention that? The steak was definitely a 2 person endeavor - it filled an entire serving platter! The thing I was most surprised about was the beans - I am NOT a bean fan and would never have ordered them, but these beans were REALLY good - I started with a small taste and ended up going back for multiple additional spoonfuls. Our waiter said the restaurant is quite famous for their beans, and after trying I can see why. And I can't forget the squash - literally every bite of this meal was an experience. At the end of dinner our waiter also brought us a limoncello - a perfect end to a perfect meal. I am so glad we were able to get into this restaurant. Lastly, I want to acknowledge the kindness of the staff at the restaurant- I mentioned earlier that the waiter brought us both the beans and limoncello to try - he did not charge us for this and in addition was just generally very kind despite us obviously being tourists with little Italian language skills. I felt they really took care of us, with much more attention than generally is given in other Italian restaurants we've visited. We had a wonderful dinner and I want to recommend l'Brindellone to EVERYONE!

Yelp
Returning to I'Brindellone was in the back of my mind for a number of years. I first visited this restaurant 5 or 6 years ago on the recommendation of a friend whose family is also full of butchers. He said THIS is the place to try the traditional steak of Florence (Bistecca alla Fiorentina) and he wasn't wrong. Since my first visit I have been waiting for an opportunity to return and that came recently. We had a big lunch, so I tried to focus only on the Steak. We had Ribollita and Tuscan dumplings for our starting course. The Ribollita, a Tuscan bread soup, was delicious and had smaller chunks of bread and vegetables than other restaurants, which was welcome and made for a better mix of flavors in each spoonful. The waiter helpfully topped it at the table with olive oil and it made for a delicious start to the evening. The Tuscan dumplings were delicious, but admittedly a little hard to describe. Large, crunchy dumplings that seemed like they may have been fried but weren't oily at all, so I can't be certain they aren't baked. I loved the salty flavor, but I saw other people dipping them in some type of sauce, so I'm not certain if I missed something. Either way, a delicious surprise. The steaks were worth the wait. They were cooked and salted perfectly. Crunchy with the grill flavor on the outside and bloody on the inside. Just that way it was meant to be. Since I was still full from lunch, I got the smaller cut on the helpful waiter's recommendation, but I feel confident on my next visit the larger cut will be mine. We also had a side of white beans that were stewed in tomato sauce, which may have been the first time for both of us, and something I will need to try at home because they were delicious. We didn't get dessert because there was no room left, but we will next time, and there will be a next time!

Yelp
WOW. Just wow... This spot was recommended by our B&B host and we were just blown away. We ordered the following: Variety of cured meats Pasta of the day (rabbit meat sauce) Truffle pasta Peposo Mascarpone dessert First, with the cured meats, they must have an amazing source because their meats tasted better than any others we had in town, especially the prosciutto, which makes American prosciutto seem tasteless and bland. The two pastas were what really floored us. They were cooked perfectly al dente and so delicious that I was slowly savoring each bite, not wanting the meal to end. All this plus about 3/4 liter of their house wine for just €60. What a steal for one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Yelp
The food was sooooo delicious and our waiter was super helpful and kind. If I'm ever back in Florence, I'm going back to l' Brindellone for sure

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal and experience at l'Brindellone! The Veal Steak was outstanding. The house wine was some of the best we've had. They were very accommodating to Americans.

Yelp
Fantastic and quick service, popular with locals, and a bit away from the main touristy areas. We ordered the truffle pasta and florentine steak. However, the food left a lot to be desired, as the truffle pasta was too creamy (and lacked truffle flavor), and the steak was way too chewy.

Yelp
If you are going to eat at one place in Florence, you need to make it I'brindellone. You will need to make reservations as this restaurant is always booked with no room for walk-ins. I had to make a reservation for my wife and I about a month in advance. They do not have an option to reserve online so I had the hotel we were staying at make reservations on our behalf. We started our dinner with a Pasta with Rabbit (the pasta of the day). This flavorful dish consisted of thick savory noodles mixed with tender gamey rabbit and a hint for fresh tomato. Next came the star of the dinner, and what I'brindellone is primarily know for, the Thick Florentine T-Bone Steak. A mouthwatering fresh smokey aroma filled the table when we received the dish. The steak was juicy, tender and cooked a perfect medium rare. The outside was lightly charred with a hint of saltiness and some caramelized fat on the outside. This steak was massive and could easily feed four people. We also ordered a side of Spinach which was creamy with a nice touch of olive oil. After a phenomenal dinner, we couldn't skip dessert. We ordered the Mascarpone which was super creamy and custard like. Overall, I'brindellone is the type of restaurant you go out of your way to visit.

Yelp
Boom! We scored the last table and are still smiling everything was amazing. The crostini was great and prosciutto so flavorful. The pasta of the day was a rabbit ragu that was so filling. The pappa al pomodoro was to die for... such a home run. We had zucchini flowers and pot roast too... it was actually too much food. So happy we were able to sneak a table. What a great experience.

Jeff S.

Yelp
One of our favorite meals in all of Italy. The price was great, the food was incredible the service was warm and friendly. We couldn't decide between two dishes and they split them in half and served us both. Make sure to call ahead for a table. It gets busy.

Yelp
After a day of walking and touring the magnificent Palazzo Pitti and more walking around the beautiful Piazzale Michelangelo, my family was hot & tired and praying to our food gods that I Brindellone (which I had on my "list" of hopeful restaurants) might be able to fit us without a res. We arrived when it had not yet opened for dinner, and YAY we were the first in line and able to snag a table that opened when there was a no-show. This a small place and you may be sitting communally, but none of that matters and you may even make some friends. The food is so reasonably priced and all house made. Very few tourists (besides us). So the evening just kept getting better and better with each forkful. We started with their crostini (with fabulous chicken liver pate), tuscan sliced meats (prosciutto etc.), "fried italian dumplings" and a beautiful caprese with the freshest bufala mozzarella. Except for the "fried dumplings" which were basically bland fried dough (and could easily be skipped --note these are NOT on the Italian menu), all were fabulous. My taglierini al tartufo (pasta with shaved truffles) was outstanding. Or other dishes were fried calves brain (adventurous eaters), gnocchi and a slow-cooked tuscan pot roast. The icing on our perfect dinner was complementary vin santo and cantucci. Make a reservation or be first in line when they open!!

Yelp
This place came highly recommended so we had to try it when we visited Florence. Note - due to increase in popularity, I would strongly recommend you make a reservation. There are only 2 seatings each night and 12 tables total. They speak decent enough English but you can also ask the concierge at your hotel to make one for you. l'Brindellone is known for their Florentine steak so definitely order it. The smallest size is 1.2kg (2.6lbs) which is a massive amount of steak for two people to share. Along with the steak we ordered the truffle pasta which was to die for. I love Italian pasta, it's so simple but stunning in its simplicity. The pasta was perfectly al dente and seasoned only with some olive oil, pepper, and truffles. You know it's good when the pasta is that simple but tastes amazing. The steak was good but not great. Having been to Peter Luger's in NY, I would say this steak was mediocre. The cut was kind of tough and while the edges and parts close to the bone were delicious, I wasn't that impressed with the rest. The plate it came on wasn't heated so the steak also lost its heat quickly.

Yelp
Fantastic menu from a quality restaurant surprisingly not eager for tourists (which was nice). Amazing food at an excellent bargain. Florentine steak. Wonderful pasta with truffle shavings. Of course a great house vino russo. Helps if you speak some Italian.

Yelp
Ok, get reservations. If you try walking in you get a friendly "maybe in 15 mins" but be turned away. Complete feel of a "locals only" spot, situated on the opposite side of Fiume Arno, away from all the tourists. Egg pasta with brown butter sauce was covered in shaved white truffle, very heavy dish in a good way. Tagliatelle covered in a ground rabbit ragu was awesome. Did not lose the rabbit flavor you would seek. Large plate of Fried calves brains was the size of conch fritters. And like conch fritters you give the nuggets of brain a squirt of fresh lemon and devour them. Excellent hole in the wall!

Yelp
Dinner at I'brindellone. Another restaurant in Florence reknowned for their steak, especially their fiorentina. Except the location might be incoveniece for some as it is on the other side of the river, away from the more touristy side. I suggest saving this restaurant on the day you're planning to visit Piazzala Michelangelo or Pitti Palace for conveniency. The restaurant was very simply decorated, located on a quiet street of Florence. Just simple cream walls with photos of Italy, lined with some wine bottles on top and a few solid dark walnut wooden tables for seating. The place filled up pretty quick too so highly recommend making a reservation. Affettati misti e crostini This was a lovely mix of fresh cured prosciutto and some other hams. They were all very lean, retained some moisture, not too salty and beautifully tender. The crostini were two pieces of crispy bread, one spread with liver pate and the other sausage pate. All very deliciously smooth, moist and rich in flavour. Taglierini al tartufo This dish reminded me how much I love truffles. It was truly delicious. Fresh al dente pasta with only a small amount of cream just enough to coat it and allowing the fresh shaved truffles give the rest of the flavour. Just couldn't get enough of it and the portion was generous. Trippa alla fiorentina This was a little more offaly than previous additions I've had but I still liked it a lot. The tripe were braised till tender and soft. The tomato sauce was complex and fragrant making it lovely to enjoy with the complimentary bread. Not an expert on this dish, but I found it enjoyable. Filetto The highlight of the evening being one of the juiciest fillet I've had. I'm not used to fillet carrying so much flavour hut these really did, just as much as a rib eye. They were incredibly succulent and tender. Served normally as medium rare. The edges were cooked a bit too much drying out the edges but the rest was fine. A delicious steak overall Spinach Lovely boiled spinach just to lighten the meat load. These were seasoned perfectly, fresh, sweet and juicy. Artichoke fritto These were incredibly tasty being very similar to tempura batter. The texture was crispy and light. Greaseless too. Highly recommended. Creme brûlée One of the the nicest ones I've had. It was coated with caramel, thin and crisp, breaking away into a velvety thick custard that was perfectly sweet and creamy. Loved it! Mascarpone cheese This was very similar to tiramisu which is also made out of mascarpone cheese but without the savoiardi biscuits in between. It was lovely, creamy and not too sweet. The cocoa powder shavings made it slightly richer and added some indulgence to it. Being so light in consistency I demolished it within an instant. Overall I very much enjoyed I'brindellone. Staff were pleasant, enthusiastic and passionate about their food. They gave us good recommendations and presented the raw steak to us before cooking it. It lacked a little charm in the plain decor but the quality of food made up for it. Wish it wasn't such a pain to get back to our hostel in the other side of the river at around 10pm.

Yelp
We made reservations but the place had a few tables available by 9pm. Two separate couples ordered the bistecca and barely finished. We opted for the smaller veal t-bone and had space in our stomachs to order 2 plates of pasta (truffle and rabbit), cow brains and a bottle of Chianti. I'd say it's a fair trade. The veal was seasoned just right and tender. Cow brain had the texture of weird soft tofu, I love it but probably best eaten while it's still hot. Truffle pasta was amazing and my friend cleaned her plate out with bread. I never had rabbit before and it tasted like chicken, but I guess it's good well seasoned chicken. Overall a good deal. $50 for what could have been a $100+ dinner in the US.

Yelp
Oh my, this place was delicious! Recommended by our hotel, we dined here our last night in Florence and boy was it worth it. Amazing food - don't really think you can go wrong with anything on the menu! The truffle pasta was amazing Make sure you have a reservation, you will need one!

Yelp
Authentic, perfectly prepared Tuscan cuisine in a small, unpretentious locale off San Frediano. Bistecca a la Fiorentina is the "piece de resistance" here, try not to miss it and share among 2 (and in case you are unaware, it should be enjoyed "a point" perhaps with some additional olive oil if you're so inclined). For smaller appetites, other meat dishes include beautiful tagliatta di manzo (sirloin) served with chunks of parmesan on a bed of rocket/arugula. Accompany your main dish with baked faggioli, perfectly fried zucchini flowers, a home style salad or tossed spinach. Going backwards, primi include classic spaguetti pomodoro and tagliarini tartufo in season, both as they should be. Their regional wines are very reasonably priced at €6.00 per carafe. L' Brindellone is a lively local hangout and eatery. It is always packed so reserve a couple of days ahead. Oh: they also offer lunch specials which are as good a value ad you will find in Florence.

Yelp
This is really a bustling neighborhood restaurant filled with locals and the tourists who know about it (think of the power of TripAdvisor). We called for a same day reservation for their opening time, 7:30 pm. When we did, we were told we had to be finished and gone by 9 pm! We were okay with that since we really wanted to come to this restaurant. We started off with antipasti of salami, prosciutto and fried dough. I so enjoyed the Ribollita (a famous Tuscan bread soup - made with bread and vegetables). I saw another guest receive spaghetti with truffles and knew I had to have it as well. My husband is the beef man; so, of course, he ordered sliced sirloin steak over arugula with parmesan and a mixed salad. We left the restaurant at 9 pm; and, sure enough, there were over a dozen people waiting to go in. Our total bill for the cover charge, water, a liter of Chianti red wine, the antipasti, ribollita, steak, spaghetti with truffles, mixed salad and coffee was only € 54. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable! The service was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Came here during my Italian honeymoon and boy oh boy was this place amazing. Its so in the cut you wouldnt even notice it if not for the people lingering around the front waiting for it to open. Its quaint, charming and serve the most amazing cuts of beef and boy are they HUGE. Unless you're a WWF wrestler you can definitely split it. Oh and their selection of cured meats? Out of this world. And my beloved zucchini blossoms that I struggle to find stateside - how I enjoy thee! Cant wait for a repeat visit later this year!

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing! My boyfriend and I were recommended this place for a stay in Florence. We were worried about getting in since reservations were also recommended and we did not have any. We showed up just before 7:30 (opening time) and were lucky to get a table- even though it was tiny, cramped, and right beside the bathroom line. We didn't care, because the food was worth it! We split a classic Florentine steak and also ordered sides of Pappa al Pomodoro and fried zucchini florets- everything we ordered was cleaned off the plate. My only complaint is that they charged us for what we thought was free bread four euros, so watch out for this!

Yelp
Incredibly authentic meal at a wonderful location. Great service and awesome food. Would highly recommend. Definitely come right when they open (but not a minute earlier) and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Rob F.

Yelp
We had the obligatory bistecca alla florentina, and it was a big, juicy, tender hunk of steak, with good salt and pepper seasoning, cooked to medium rare-medium (a little much for my liking but still great when it's nice and hot, and our host said it's typically prepared more rare). However, the taglierini al tartufo stole the show. Not only was it better quality, with home made pasta, grated truffles, and great balanced flavors, but also the portion size is plenty (I have no idea how you can eat multiple course meals without rolling out on your full belly) and it was less than $10. Also, the servers are multi lingual and friendly.

Yelp
We're from California - USA. We love great Italian food. We were staying locally, and asked our friend for a referral. l'Brindellone is a busy, local restaurant with great authentic basic Florentine fare. I've been trying the coniglio pappardelle at a number of restaurants. Theirs is tied for first place in my book. The egg noodles were fantastic. The rabbit delicately done. The beef stew was good. Service was excellent, and a bit crazy in the typical Italian style which we loved. The place has two - timed sittings so you need to make reservations. Mangiare!

Yelp
I stayed around the corner from here during my trip to Florence, and l'Brindellone was recommended to me by a local. I had a lot of pasta during my time in Italy, but this was hands down the best meal I had during my two week trip. Not only was the meal absolutely delicious, but the price was right as well. I made a reservation, which I recommend, there was line waiting outside even before the restaurant opened. They did have a table open, but told me it was by the bathroom and made sure I was ok with that, which I appreciate. It wasn't awesome sitting by the bathroom, but there double doors, so it wasn't that big of a deal, plus the food was so amazing it didn't really matter. I got the cured meats and fried dough balls to start with a 1/4 liter of the house red. Then for my main dish I had the truffle pasta which was TO DIE. The whole meal was amazing, and cheap! I was too full for dessert, but it looked delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you are staying in Florence!

Yelp
Proscuitto fritty things and some sort of cream cheese. you wrap together all the three and chew. REALLY GOOD. That s for your starter. Then we got pasta white truffle and ribollito, oh my god. pasta so good. tasty, truffly to the perfection, and the ribollito was beyond good. some sort of melt bread in olive oil with veggies and olive oil. little warm. WOW. and then we got a marinated meat in tomato sauce. really good too but might have gone with the same meat in pepper sauce. saw it next door and looked terrific. with that, bottle of house wine, 12%, easy to go by, and for 1 liter !, costs only 6 euros ?!?. Crazyyyy. Highly recommend this place and ask the boss about his fighting - gladiator pictures on the walls in the entrance. worth it.

Kyle G.

Yelp
A great authentic spot for Florentine cuisine off the beaten track. The two of us arrived right as they opened at 1930, and they were able to squeeze us in on the condition that we finished up by 2100 - so I would generally advise making a reservation. We started with a soup course of ribollita and minestrone, both of which were flavorful and comforting. I saw fried cow brains on the menu, and couldn't resist trying them (with the waiter's encouragement), while the wife made a more sensible pasta selection. The brains had a bit of an unusual spongy texture (unsurprisingly), but weren't bad. We ordered some fried zucchini flowers on the side which were excellent - perhaps the highlight of the meal - and finished up with a decadent slice of cheesecake. Service was friendly and helpful, and it was a very enjoyable dining experience overall.

Yelp
Would give 10 stars if possible. Had to meet the chef it was that good. Order all of the courses.

The S.

Yelp
Hubby and son shared the huge beefsteak Florentine, and the local beer. And I tried the traditional tripe dish and the red wine. We also shared a green salad and a Caprese appetizer and bread. Tripe was amazingly good, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Steak was a bit chewy to my taste and quite rare but the men rated it good though not the best steak they've had due to a relative lack of seasoning. Service was excellent, friendly, by a waiter with excellent English.

Glenn H.

Yelp
On the recommendation of friend (thanks, Rob), I tried this place with my group of 6. So happy that I did. Great food cooked nicely. We had the bistecca, veal chop, pork chop, tripe and pasta with rabbit. Not a bad dish in the bunch. The staff was very helpful with ordering the meal. Great meal.

Yelp
Oh man, one of my favorite meals in Florence! My friend and I had done some research online to find the best Florentine steak and this place came up on multiple lists (both in English and Italian), so we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we knew this would be an excellent place. We went on a weekday for lunch and it was filled with locals (mostly older Italian men haha). It's nothing fancy, but the feel of the place was warm and cozy. We were seated quickly and given a menu, but we already knew what we wanted: the Florentine steak with a side of spinach and wine. Before cooking the steak, the waiter came out and brought the raw steak for us to check--it looked amazing on the bone!! Before we knew it, our cooked steak came out and we began to eat. Man, it was perfectly cooked and rested, and beautifully seasoned. As we got to the bone, I tried to use my fork and knife to cut the meat off, but some locals at the table next to us and then the waiter just told us to use our hands and bite the meat off the bone! Haha! Totally unpretentious, but awesome food--my kind of place for sure. The entire meal was 50 euros, but well worth it!

Yelp
There are so many good florentine steak houses around but we ended up eating here. After a short visit at all the cute boutiques on pointe vecchio, we ventured our way out to this little gem and were not disappointed. I remembered there was only one waiter that speaks English at the restaurant and anyone who tried to get in without a reservation was turned away. The entire restaurant was filled with locals except for me and the boyfriend. We ordered the tripe stew, amazing florentine steak and some tomato soup. I swear they put some magical unicorn tears or something in there... I mean how can everything tastes so amazing! When I was trying to use the bread the clean off the plate before the waiter collected it, boyfriend looked at him with an embarrassing smile... waiter said with a smirk, "it's okay... I see that all the time. I know our food is delicious." I didn't even bother to look at him or give him any reaction because I was busy eating "like a savage" (according to boyfriend). Oh well... who cares?! At the end, boyfriend is the one embarrassed. I had no shame when it comes to good food. Bon appétito!

Nick L.

Yelp
Best meal between Rome, Chianti and Florence. Steak florentine is excellent. Pasta (we had spaghetti and pomodoro) and caprese salad were delicious and the desserts (cream filling and pine nut cake, aka "grandmas cake" and mascarpone cream) were so good we had to get two. For ten euro get a liter of the house wine and you won't be disappointed. We didn't order the pasta with Tartufo (truffles) but we saw it at other tables and it looked amazing! We were kicking ourselves for not trying it.

Yelp
We made a reservation the day before for a 7:30 sunday dinner.. easy peasy. Came a few minutes earlier and already a gathering. As others said, make a reservation, because it seems like he'll turn you away if you don't. The place has both air conditioning and a fan, so it is very comfortable. We sat in the front (smaller room) and was serviced by I think the owner, who was nothing but nice, all smiles, and very helpful. The prices are spectacular for Florence. The steak is 35 euros/kg, a small carafe of wine 2 euros. We gave him back an empty and cleaned plate because the tripe was that good. We ate everything but the bone of our steak too. Come and you won't be disappointed. Came Aug 2016

Yelp
We visited the restaurant on Friday night. After reading some of reviews prior to visiting Florence, we couldn't wait to feast on the famous Florentine steak. We were NOT disappointed, the service, food, vino, outstanding! Emilio, took care of us, great service with a smile, the enthusiasm of explaining the menu, providing suggestions/recommendations to compliment the steak. The steak was superb! I recommend this meal if you are visiting Florence, its a must... We also had the fried zucchini flowers, the roasted potatoes, along with a couple of other dishes...We also had dessert, the home made cheese cake was a perfect way to end the night, delicious..... Grazie Emilio, for a memorable evening! We hope on returning to Italy someday, and when we do, we'll definitely visit the restaurant again, no doubt! Grazie!!

Yelp
After two weeks in Rome, Cinque Terre and Florence, this place ranks at the top. We got the Florentine Steak and Truffle pasta. Amazing. Steaks are huge, seasoned well ad cooked perfectly medium rare. Attached to a bone (looks like a t bone) so flavors are even richer. Truffle pasta is super creamy with very generous shavings of truffle. Just the best. Whole meal was about 50 euros. Worth it.

Yelp
I really don't want to tell anyone about this place because it is impossible to get in and I don't want to make it any harder. The best restaurant I have ever been to. I have had private dinners with some of the best chefs in the world and though they were great these guys know what they are doing. Family style with great steaks, apps, and pasta. Full of locals

Yelp
Great find. Great service, friendly and on top of their game. We didn't like the house wine, they took it back and recommended a great bottle. Veal steak was the best, juicy and flavorsome beyond belief. Everything was great. Decor is low key and that adds to the small town Italian charm. I Would easily go back.

Yelp
Imperdibile.
