Five Restaurants To Try Near the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets - Eater Vegas

"I Am Thai Cuisine serves beautifully presented dishes — including pineapple fried rice inside an actual pineapple — in an intimate setting. Tucked away in a strip mall, the locally owned spot creates curries, soups, and a selection of vegetarian and vegan options." - Krista Diamond

Google
Wonderful place if you’re craving Thai food away from the glitter of the Las Vegas Strip. The exterior is unassuming, but inside, you’ll find a spacious and inviting dining area. We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Drunken Noodles, and Green Curry Fried Rice. The fried rice was the standout dish for me—very flavorful and delicious. The Drunken Noodles were slightly overcooked, but I’m not docking points for that because the service we received was excellent.

Google
Food was great and came quickly! Friendly service as they accommodated our volleyball team. I ordered the Pad Sew Ew at a 0 spice which was perfect for me. Highest id recommend on the spice level is a 2/10, anything higher was deadly for my teammates.

Neptune BKK

Google
One of the Thai restaurants in Las Vegas that has an authentic tast wee. Highly recommended for the people who loved or missed Thai foods. Price is affordable and has a plenty of parking lot in the front.

Ordered takeout online. My order was ready and hot when I arrived. Actually, the hostess was walking it from the kitchen when I walked in, so it was fresh! The restaurant was large and nice. Definitely looks like a good dine-in place. It is next to a dispensary. The noodles were great! Cooked perfectly and the sauce was pretty good. The portion size was also good. Some of the chicken was hard and very chewy, to an inedible point. I'm guessing it was tendon or overly muscular meat. Not hazardous, but unpleasant. I'm guessing it was just an unlucky batch of chicken meat. Otherwise, the Pad Thai was great.

Google
My fave Thai restaurant! Great service, amazing food and convenient location near Airport and south end of The Strip. Highly recommend! Careful on your heat level choice… it gets pretty spicy!

Vijay Salem

Google
Tried Togo order. We ordered spice basil fried rice with chicken but no spicy at all.. good taste but missing the spice level. Togo order quantity is good for 1person.

Food is not great, green curry is watery. Service is slow and so so friendly. Small portions especially the protein.

Google
Apparently we have been making the rounds on Thai restaurants in Vegas. Found this little gem and it was pretty impressive. Nice, clean atmosphere with plenty of seating and a good menu. The food, service, employees and menu were all great. We started with the fried tofu and calamari. Then we moved onto the Papaya salad (level 5), seafood Tom (level 3) and the Jungle red curry (level 10). Everything was great!

David B.

Yelp
We have been coming here for many years. We loved the appetizer combo platter! The green curry was excellent with a good quality brown rice option for only $2 more. Thai tea had a great flavor. Pad see ew was missing the smoky notes that I love so I will try something else next time.

Sarah K.

Yelp
The food was really good and the lady who worked at the restaurant was really nice and accommodating.

Yelp
My friend insists on this place when she returns to Vegas from Chicago. And now I just learned we live 2 miles from here!!! See you soon!!! DELICIOUS. . . . Yelp won't let me post until I add more words. So... she's a badass picky bitch from Chicago. Need I say more?? She's been coming here for 3 years consecutively when she lived here. She's brought me food 3 times and 3 times out of 3 times it was a +10!! EAT HERE!!!! Screw you Yelp. I'll post on Google. You're not wasting my time!!

Yelp
I hate to give this place 2 Stars but the food was awful. The service was amazing and there was only 1 server and she was so nice and kind. Pad Thai- it came out red. It was so sweet. I typically like my pad Thai to be sweet, but this was almost in edible. Papaya salad. They charge extra if you want to add any type of protein. Literally it tasted like candy. Mongolian beef. My husband said it was OK, but there were way too many veggies in comparison to the beef. Basil ground beef. This dish was average. I liked this dish the most. I honestly did not feel very well in the middle of this meal and the next day. I did bring leftovers home but decided to throw it out. I think if they just changed the recipe on some dishes this place can be great. We came here because it had 4.5 stars so maybe this was just an off night but I'm not sure that I would be back to try it again.

Yelp
Thank you, I am Thai.. Our favorite place to go when we're in town! Always extremely fresh, and welcoming. We have had Alex wait on us multiple times and she's very attentive, thoughtful and efficient.! It's a must go to ! It's a Mom & Pop, run business. The quality of food is always-yummy. Good to see you, Alex

Yelp
Came here for dinner while in the area. Service was good though slow for a Monday. Ordered won ton soup which was pretty good. Fresh shrimp rolls were ok but sauce was good. Crab fried rice was good but way too many onions and same for the glass noodles with chicken. Prices reasonable

Yelp
Again, I was craving Thai food and did a search for delivery. I Am Thai Cuisine popped up so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never had Pad See Eiw Noodles but have always wanted to try it. I opted for the fried tofu and extra Chinese broccoli. Service was fast, and my order arrived warm. I can now say that Pad See Eiw is one of my new favorite noodle dishes. It had lots of flavor, the noodles were thick and wonderful, and there was a lot of tofu and Chinese broccoli. I'll definitely order that again!

Yelp
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...but gotta share the love. Food is excellent with great ingredients, and service super friendly. When I'm in town this is my go to place near the airport for Authentic Thai.
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
Food was good -- loved the combination rice. But the vibe of the place felt off. Don't know what it was but I probably wouldn't dine in again.

Art B.

Yelp
Change of ownership, Thai food is still Consistently authentic and I wish the New owners Peace, Prosperity and a continued New Energy. Service is very efficient and quick. Ambiance is has changed and is warm.
google avatar

Sara J.

Yelp
Ordered the lunch red curry and it was delicious! Great price, good amount of food, prepared quickly and friendly staff. Will return to try some more options!
google avatar

Yelp
If you like authentic Thai cuisine, this place has it, even to the hotness level one would like. We had the dumplings and spicy basil beef. Both were fantastic. The decor is interesting and the service fabulous. We found this place as we left the airport on arrival in Las Vegas. We liked it so much we had a second visit on our way leaving Las Vegas. Definitely worth visiting. I'm jealous of the locals who can come when they want.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem! Their food is delicious and the service was great. They were extremely friendly, and my take-out order was warm and amazing! It is extremely dark in the restaurant, but it makes the ambience cozy. I've done takeout orders a couple times and they never forget anything . A Definite must try Thai restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Thai food here! I went with a friend and I ordered Fresh Rolls and Green Curry Chicken. Presentation was pretty and the taste was really good! This is a big restaurant about maybe 1400 or more sq ft. The service was good too. I was so hungry and forgot to take pics.

Thomas N.

Yelp
In town for business and saw this restaurant across from my hotel and decided to give it a try. The Chicken Pad Thai and egg rolls were delicious, fresh and beautifully served. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
google avatar

Guadalupe T.

Yelp
Rose was great! She was handling payments, clearing tables and was nice and polite. The food was worth the wait! I'll definitely be back for lunch!
google avatar

Marie C.

Yelp
We found this place via yelp and agree. The food is excellent! We ordered the curry. pineapple fried rice and pad thai. All very good. Can't wait to go back to try different dishes but each time I return, I order the same things because it is that good. Only negative about this place is if it is busy, it takes a while to get your food because there is only one person who is the host/cashier and the food server the few times we went.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance is very fantastic! I'm half Thai and I speak Thai very fluently. Customer service is excellent ladies was helpful at all time. This is authentic as you can get !

Yelp
This restaurant is a new favorite spot for Thai authentic food. Really recommend. Pad Thai , Tom Yum and pork jerky are my favorite.
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
This restaurant has been around for a little bit and i was excited to try something new. The restaurant itself was a very open space, there were less tables than i would have expected so it was nice to have room while i ate. The restaurant was also empty. I am very baffled by the ornamentation of this place though. Boxes of stuff, large grey tote bins and other misc. storage items are strewn about in plain view. The other décor is just a mish mash of old Christmas decorations, and who knows what. The service was mediocre even though we were the only ones in there, there seemed to be just one guy running around doing several things like fulfilling online orders etc. This guy would randomly sing and dance to the music playing which was largely annoying. The food was semi-decent, but nothing to go crazy over. I found it to be take out quality and not sit down establishment quality. Verdict: 1 and done!

Yelp
The chef here must really like sweetness in their food. It's not really preferable for my liking though. -The boat noodles actually had a kick (most Thai hot isn't that spicy), but the broth is a little sweet for me. They had a thicker more tender beef too. Wife loved it, I think I prefer the thinner slices for boat noodles -The basil pork stir fry way too sweet -Roti with condensed milk was the highlight of our meal -The thai tea was pretty solid

Yelp
Extremely nice and near both the car rental area and hotels that shuttle you from the airport. They spice it as you like, and the food is delicious, although not local, we brought our friends who we had gone to the Grand Canyon went back here for the airport farewell. Really good.
google avatar

Nat W.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong....food was fine. I especially liked the pineapple fried rice. Pat thai was okay. What I couldn't get pass was the strong odor in the restaurant. It smelled like sewer or dirty mop. The ambiance was just dark, clutters everywhere and wierd random decoration. The lady who served us was nice and food was not bad but all I could think was how terrible the smell was. I recommend take-out.
google avatar

Nancy Z.

Yelp
Very spacious restaurant. I ordered for takeout and the staff greeting me was friendly. I ordered the mild pineapple fried rice with chicken. The flavors and food were delicious! The spice level for a medium was perfect. Enough spice for a kick but not too hot. The only complaint I have is that there was barely any chicken and only 4 shrimp. Granted the shrimp were pretty big. I would definitely come back here regardless.

Sumitra S.

Yelp
I just had lunch with my friend today. Food is really good taste. Moreover reasonable price, they're very welcome since we sat on the table. Wanna go again!

Charles S.

Yelp
Food is awesome. Would def recommend, especially the lunch special. They have a wide variety of items, and staff is super chill.
google avatar

Joanna C.

Yelp
The food and service was good before only one person was serving and the other on the phone must be on break or something might be not even a server but wasnt alert enough when people come in. Waited long didnt get greeted i was attemp to just ring a bell until the lady who was bussing a table saw us finally got seated. Ordered basil chicken, tofu padthai, and yellow curry The meat had this weird after taste reason will be coming to this place for the last time. Sadly i use to come here so often back then. She forgot that i ask water no ice. And trying to get some togos boxes she just smile and walk away . Btw wasnt busy enough also.

Joyce W.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was personal and quick. Highly recommended!! Nucchi was our server and she went above and beyond. When we jokingly asked for Candy treats at the end of the meal she personally found some for us!!! Top notch!

Kittaya B.

Yelp
This is my first time here. I ordered pad Thai shrimps, spicy basil fried rice, bbq chicken salad, wooden salad and end up with fried bananas for desert. .. all was good . I definitely will come back and try another dish.
google avatar

Zara-Maria R.

Yelp
We came here wanting some Thai food and we were nearby. My boyfriend had been here before and raved about the food and price. His recommendation did not disappoint. We were seated immediately as they had just opened up. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to start. The Fresh Rolls are the best I've had and their homemade peanut sauce had a unique flavor which makes this my new favorite spot for fresh rolls. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Mongolian plate. Both dishes were delicious. Our server was very attentive and nice. The prices were very reasonable as well which makes this spot our favorite.
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Incredibly friendly staff. Was quiet when I went in though saw people constantly coming in to pickup nonstop and I see why after tasting this Thai food. They give you the choice of 1 to 10 for spiciness of food and also a side of multiple different spices of varying heat. This is great so you don't go to high on heat level and can add it on to get to where you are comfortable. Food was presented very well, the taste, WOW. Will be back here when back in vegas away from the strip and lights.

Alagiri A.

Yelp
Nice food and excellent service, amazing cocunut ice cream , all the food there was good.

Ayo T.

Yelp
The food was amazing, the service here is super good. This is one of the best Thai food in last Vegas ! The food portion is a lot for a good price!

Helene L.

Yelp
Very tasty food at reasonable prices, friendly service, fast delivery to the table and so convenient to the airport that we stopped upon arriving LAS and upon departing

Brodweick F.

Yelp
We were in Vegas and wanted to get off the strip. Would up coming back here every night. Fresh, delicious food, lovely service, and very affordable. Relaxed atmosphere. Love this place!

Yelp
Got 6 dishes. The chicken satay, pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, pad see ewe, tom yum soup, and beef salad. Everything had nice flavors. Would def recommend the Thai beef salad on at least a 3 level. Both nooder dishes were overcooked, but still had nice flavors. The service was ok, could have been better for an empty restaurant, waitress forgot our drinks and still charged us. Overall enjoyed our meals.
google avatar

Kate X.

Yelp
We were looking for quick food near the Vegas airport, and found this place while driving around. Even though the restaurant building looked quite old, the restaurant itself was very spacious and old half of the entire indoor was taken up with tables. We shared a few items including tom yum soup (which was slightly sour and not spicy), pad thai (which was surprisingly sweet), and green curry. The food was served quickly, everything tasted good, and the price was reasonable.
google avatar

Del S.

Yelp
We surely enjoy good awesome authentic Thai and modest pricing. Ms. Alex was very nice and pleasant! We will try other items when we go back
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Craving Thai so decided to try this place based on reviews. We had lunch on Labor Day do place was really quiet. Started with appetizers of fried calamari and egg rolls. They were good but nothing special. We then shared an entree of Spicy Basil. We elected to have sliced chicken instead of ground. Overall good flavor with a nice level of spice. Very hot and fresh tasting. Service was good. Looks like they have some great lunch specials so might try it again on a non-holiday weekday.

Yelp
The food, ambience and hospitality was really good..it was our first time and we will definitely visit again until our stay in Vegas

Yelp
I ordered takeout. The hostess was very kind and my order was prepared perfectly. And tasted delicious!! The restaurant had a very cool moss wall decor piece as well. I do wish the Tom kah came with side of rice!

Yelp
Decent Thai food in Las Vegas! Came for a late afternoon lunch. Enjoyed the chicken satay appetizer, which came with peanut sauce. They weren't doing the lunch special due to the holiday season, so we got entrees instead. I got the yellow curry with tofu (also had potatoes and carrots) - it came with a large portion and tasted great, but perhaps could have used more variety in terms of ingredients. I ended up feeling very stuffed. Leaving 3 stars because while it was a filling meal, it was a little underwhelming (I had high expectations given the super high rating).
google avatar

Jayray F.

Yelp
The food flavors are bright and authentic to the cuisine. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is a bit dated but appropriate. TVs on the wall played food without sound perhaps to make folks hungry. Prices are reasonable for the quality of ingredients and size of portions.

Eric U.

Yelp
I love good Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, the Thai food was mediocre. Service with average. The staff wasn't very focused on customer service and we're not friendly. It doesn't seem like the staff is very happy to be there. it made the atmosphere uncomfortable for our group. Service was also slow. I rate the food a five out of 10.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
This place is quite eccentric. Christmas stockings hung on the wall with care while Halloween spiders compete for attention. Meanwhile, it's the beginning of May. The space feels like either a basement or pilates studio. But then you sit and order some food and find, to your surprise, that it's really quite tasty. I tried the Thai tea which was served in a cute mason jar-style mug. We also tried the Thai dumplings which had an excellent flavor with a nice crunch at the top. And the two dishes were good - pad woon sen and massaman curry. I'd say the curry is a bit watery, but not too much to be an issue. Flavor was nice. All in all, I'd return again! A quiet hole-in-the-wall that made for a solid lunch.
