The experience is a hit or missed. Sunday evening the two of us went to this place around 10 minutes before 9 pm. The guy with a suit greeted us and being friendly, he gave a sign to one of the waiters to sit us rather than he sits us himself. So the waiter brought us to this quite nicely designed space with rustic vaulted ceiling, white walls and minimalist table and chairs . He gave us a few tables to choose for where we wanted to sit, which is nice compared to when they just put you next to occupied table while other tables are empty. Anyway, he offered some water to start with, at this point we did not have the menu yet. 10 minutes goes by... still no menu yet. We realized they were having a big party prior and some numbers of tables were occupied in one of the rooms, the same waiter was running around to set up the tables. 15 minutes later he came back with the menu and left us at least close to 40 minutes since we sat down, we almost decided to get up, pay the water and leave until the same first guy with a suit came and took our order. We got our bottle of wine which is good but rather high in price compares to other restaurants around. Next, they served us a basket of bread and a mouse bouche of warm onion soup foam with a couple slices of herrings and slice of orange, which was light and delicious. At this point we sort of forget what happened prior. We ordered the first course of grilled mixed vegetables baked inside a small ramekin with some cheese on top, served with sides of caramelized onion and fruit compote. It was delicious and good portion, even enough to share. The second course came, it was black pasta with calamari and other seafood pieces also pasta with tomatoes sauce and mushrooms. Both were delicious, have the right amount of al dente and portions. So after the second course we were rather satisfied for the quality of the food minus the service because no one came to check if the food was alright or pour the wine and nor the water either, we basically just served ourselves. We are usually pretty easy going customers and don't thing it's really a big deal but since they want to be more upscale type of restaurant, I think every single little service counts. Long story short, the same waiter came and asked if we are ready to order for dessert, while we were still waiting for our last course which was a mixed BBQ meats (lamb, pork, rib, chicken wing) with roasted potatoes that came inside aluminum pot, which I thought quite unique and practical in terms of keeping the heat temperature of the meat last longer, especially during winter season. Each piece was quite tender and juicy, the portion was rather generous too. However it was a bit under seasoned, which we decided to ask for some salt and pepper then it was just perfect. Last, we skipped the dessert since by this time we just had over 2 hours of dinner (left around 11:15 pm) and we had enough food to eat. Overall the food is good, a bit pricey but still affordable. My suggestion is they need to reorganize about their service and efficiency. For Sunday evening when most restaurants are closed during the month of February, it's a good option to go to.
