Where To Eat & Drink In St. Louis - The Infatuation

"I Fratellini is one of those places you consider lying about and telling people is terrible just so you can keep it to yourself. This Italian spot in Clayton serves classics like linguine with clams, along with some more creative dishes like pistachio-crusted trout. From the roses on the table to the long and affordable wine list, it’s great for a date with someone you might want to share a life with, or maybe just a bowl of pasta. Also, make sure to get the lemon panna cotta, regardless of how full you are after dinner." - Jen Maylack

A hidden gem in a quaint neighborhood business district on the outskirts of Downtown, Clayton-- our party of three had one of the best meals at this Italian eatery. It's a romantic dimly lit space that warrants a reservation, unless you go early in the week. They start you with a pistachio butter and warm bread loaf. Don't fill up on it-- grab an app and just wait for the entree that's to come!! Unmatched attention to service and detail, the wait staff will make your night out worry free. They predict you next need and still give you time to breath, not hovering over your every bite. House made pastas with or without meat. Fresh salads with exotic cheeses. A two-page wine list, but why not grab a Manhattan, one of the best your lips will meet! We let our food settle in and took in the ambiance before ordering and sharing two desserts. Total for 3 entrees, a salad, a round of cocktails and two desserts: $185. It doesn't have to be a special occasion to visit i Frattelini!

Five star treatment, along with mouthwatering, delicious, stunningly plated food in a cozy, romantic setting is what you'll find at I Fratellini. We started our anniversary meal with Champagne and hors d'oeuvres across the street at Bar Les Freres ~ we loved the bright, lush decor, intuitively attentive service, and brilliantly plated food. At I Fratellini, we started with the Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops that were perfectly cooked, along with more Champagne (table vases had real roses that were cut low enough to not obscure guest's view). Our second app was an off-menu special that consisted of prosciutto and creamy burrata. We dined on grilled rack of lamb (with grain mustard, herb glaze and escalloped potatoes) and grilled duck breast (with roasted nectarine compote over creamy polenta). We were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing for our dining experience. Thank you Bar Les Freres and I Fratellini for a memorable evening that was a great delight to our senses. We're looking forward to our next meal.

Found my way to I Fratellini while I was in St. Louis for work last week. Easily the best place I’ve been to in St. Louis and will be back. The restaurant is in a gorgeous neighborhood, the food was wonderful, and staff even better. I enjoyed the rack of lamb and had a nice glass of wine, all very reasonably priced for the quality. Can’t wait to return on my next visit to St. Louis!

I have never been disappointed while having lunch or dining at I Fratellini. The food, regardless of what I order, is consistently outstanding! The service is friendly, guests are made to feel welcomed and not rushed. Since it is a small, popular place reservations are definitely recommended. The place I choose to bring out of town guests first.
