I Go Chop Hackney - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Home to a very popular jollof rice and bean burrito, this Nigerian to-go situation delivers everything from slow-cooked beef stew to a big-deal party package that’s perfect for special occasions. Download their express delivery app here. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I got a warm welcome as I entered. The food is well prepared and tasty. The staff are always polite and ready to assist you with your order. I will always recommend this restaurant to any Nigerian and any other national who wants to eat and enjoy a Nigeria Cuisine or even an African dish.

I have visited I GO CHOP twice and had the Plantain and Gizzard with Jollof rice. I hadn't tried this combination before and really enjoyed it. Both times I found the customer service to be good and the prices are very affordable compared to other African restaurants I have been to. I would definitely recommend it.

I love Nigerian food so I was excited when this place opened. But I won't be going back unfortunately. The staff were unwelcoming and didn't seem interested in taking my order at all (and even started chatting to other customers when I was in the middle of ordering!). I then ended up waiting ages for my food while they served other customers who arrived after me, because they apparently 'forgot' my order even though I'd already paid! When I finally got my food, the beef stew was so tough it as basically inedible. Lots of competition in Hackney these days - you guys need to up your game.

The stew tasted like a tomato pasta sauce - not reflective of Nigerian cuisine. Plantain was soft and soggy. Another review pretty much covered this same exact thing. It seems like a mom and pop business so I feel bad leaving them a review like this. To be honest, its much better than any chicken shop in the area...

Warm welcome, super tasty food. For a minute I ‘forgot’ the Ghanaian and Nigerian jollof rivalry 😜 My colleagues and I had the veggie box and we were super happy with our very warm and delicious food! Next level! 🙌🏾🙏🏾

I Go Chop ooo!!! The food here is dope, flavours! Flavours! Flavours! Service is great, atmosphere is lively and location is spot on. Highly recommend passing through here, even if it’s for a quick snap try the Oga Burrito and add plantain and gizzard!!

Not happy at all. I went there last week to have jollof and meat. The meat was all fat. I thought that I would give them another chance today so I went in and they wouldn't let me bring my bike in. This is 2018, you shothe doudo everything to get people into your shop. One lost customer.
