I Heart Mac & Cheese

I really enjoyed this place. The mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Everything comes out fast, and the food is always fresh. I really like the spicy Mac and cheese that Arturo recommended to me. The service is great too, Arturo in particular does an awesome job making customers feel welcome and taken care of without being over the top. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience. And wants you to enjoy the Mac and cheese Overall, great food, great service, and a solid atmosphere. Definitely recommend this spot.

I tried. Between 2-230 we rang the bell twice. First time, no one said anything. Waited 2 minutes. Thought maybe they didn't hear us so we rang it one more time before we were going to leave. Immediately a male spoke up loudly behind us "I'm on BREAK I'm NOT taking any orders right now" we turned around a little shocked. Even with the tone of attitude when he said it, we walked away peacefully. We walked to Blaze Pizza instead but as soon as we were in line we noticed he was gladly taking a costumer order. We aren't upset because he was on break, we were upset because he was at Chill Bubble Tea talking to the worker right across the restaurant and instead of letting us know NICELY that he was on break the first time he waited until the 2nd time and was rude about it. If you were on break, why not put a sign like other businesses? Its not that hard considering I do it a lot when I myself am on break. Sad to say we never got to try but can happily say Blaze Pizza is 5 stars.

I love this place. The mac and cheese is creamy, flavorful, and amazing overall. The food comes out fast and everything is fresh. Shoutout to Arturo, he is amazing. Super friendly and always makes you feel welcome. You can tell he really cares about the customers. Definitely recommend this place. I will be back for sure.

Overall this place is amazing. I love the concept of build your own mac and cheese and its soo cute. But the guy working today was really rude. He burnt my mac taking too long with orders and dumped half a bottle of buffalo sause on my stuff when I asked for light buffalo. Whenever the ladies are working it's a great time. They communicate well and they're super sweet

Worker was not friendly at all, difficult to work with. I had the chicken parm mac and cheese, was served lukewarm with watery cheese sauce. Old pesto was used and questionable looking chicken that was not cooked. Got horrible food poisoning. I do not recommend.

My little brother made a mistake on his macaroni order, so we went back to buy another. After explaining the small mistake to the cashier, they went above and beyond taking care of it to give my little brother a good experience and good meal. Apart from the incredible customer service, the food is delicious and always piping hot. The establishment was friendly, understanding and professional. Big thanks to Omar and Kevin! :D

When it first came a few years ago it was great food and service but today absolutely disgusting the noodles were nasty the cheese is watery, and everything was unappetizing. The service , the guy that was serving us wasn’t very welcoming and just made it seem we were a bother just for ordering. Never will come again

The service was quite fast and the staff were friendly! I accidentally picked the one thing on the menu with no mac n cheese; the veggie bowl with sesame ginger. So I went back through the line for a mac n cheese with pulled pork and barbecue sauce. Both were really good! It surpassed my expectations considering it was located in a mall. Definitely recommend if you like mac n cheese, would go again!

Wish I had checked the reviews before ordering a Kids Mac n Cheese meal that came so piping hot it was dangerous for even adults. When the noodles and weird cheese mixture cooled down enough to try, it was pretty bad. The toddler refused it, and it ultimately went in the trash.

My husband and I visited I Heart Mac & Cheese on a recent visit to the Woodfield Dinning Pavilion. I ordered the Short Rib Philly Mac & Cheese (Slow-Cooked Short Rib, Mushrooms, Muenster Cheese, and Red Onions). They were out of red onions so I got green onions instead. There was not much of a line but it still took over 5 minutes to get my food once I ordered. Instead of putting a cheese sauce on top like I expected, they melted some slices of cheese on top of the macaroni when it went through the oven. The short rib tasted very good but the rest of the dish was bland and didn't have much flavor. There are better options at this food court. The next time I visit, I will skip I Heart Mac & Cheese.

An alright option in the Woodfield Food Court. It took a while to prepare the food here even when they weren't very busy. I found the Short Rib Philly Mac & Cheese to be quite bland with meat that wasn't all that special. For the price charged, the portion size and ingredient quality didn't seem to match with the other options available in the food court.

Good service, bad food. I ordered the vegan delight and it was anything but delightful. The "cheese" is not a cheese sauce but instead just a couple slices of vegan cheese that they attempted (and failed) to melt. My fiancé ordered a build-your-own with regular cheese and it was very watery. We both could not finish the food and were left with stomach aches.

Food was poor quality. Daughter didn't even eat it. Burnt chicken and broccoli, cheese sauce wasn't even melted all the way. Icing on top was the Kraft single they melted on top of the noodles. Gross! Service was horrible, worker was annoyed that we wanted to place an order. Would never go back.

mac and cheese had nearly no cheese on it, and they used square sandwich cheese?? also took way too long

Horrendous. I visited with a friend tonight because of the vegan options. Apparently, they don't offer them every day. Rather than saying that when I ordered the vegan deluxe bowl, the employee just used regular cheese. He didn't tell me he was using regular cheese, and I only found out when another customer was asking about the vegan cheese sauce and he said they only offer it on the weekends. "What did you put in my bowl then?" He couldn't figure out why I was mad -- good thing it was still cooking and I hadn't eaten it yet. Who puts dairy in a specifically non-dairy dish, doesn't tell the customer, and risks a serious incident over a common allergen? Then he couldn't figure out how to refund me, and they were also out of bread for sandwiches. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I ordered food from the Schaumburg location via Grub Hub only to be notified 30 minutes after I placed the order that it had been cancelled due to not having some of the items I ordered. I order a simple item right off of their menu., I understand that things happen but how did it take them 30 minutes to realize that they didn't what was needed for my order "in stock."

Our visit wasn't so great. We ordered the bbq pulled pork with mac & cheese. We requested the pull pork on the side, because we weren't sure if our son would enjoy it. We realized after paying for the item, we were over charged for an additional side of bbq pork, although we didn't receive an extra side. The staff there are not friendly and the manager was not understanding or willing to refund or make it right. Ask for a receipt, because they don't offer one or they're quick to throwing it away. Otherwise it's your words against theirs. POOR business ethics by their employees. Would we return here? We'll go to Noodles and Company instead if that answers your question.

Great food options and customizable options the inside was great and I loved it. The service was great and I had my food in 15 mins.

Given that this is a mac & cheese place, I had high expectations, however this was the most bland mac & cheese I've ever had. The grilled cheese also lacked cheesiness. Location appeared understaffed, resulting in slow service. Food is affordable however there are other equality affordable food options within the dining pavilion.

It was two hours before closing and both workers looked like they already wanted to leave. They were only serving bowls for some reason and they gave us the weakest scoop of cheese sauce, i was sad to say the least. It was okay because it set me up for the disappointment i was going to face once i started eating it. it was super bland and kinda grainy. I love mac and cheese but i don't think these people do

12/18 -Schaumburg Woodfield location. The server was untidy,.He didn't wash his hands before he prepared my food, no gloves either if they have to wear one. He was playing with his phone before he took my order.

Update: we went again the next week and we were really disappointed. As we were paying the person working behind the counter switched out the cheese container and I realized we got the mucky cheese at the bottom of the container. Because when we both ate it we felt chunks of God knows what and it all dried up so fast. We lost our appetite for this place unfortunately.

I ordered a Mac and Cheese Sandwich with the Pork Short Rib. Half of the Sandwich was Burnt and there were 7 Tater Tots undercooked. This place took forever to up open for business and you think they would make better food and not give bathroom rough towels from a pull down dispenser either. Sub-Par for the money and solid black bags like you get from a corner liquor store.

Place is disgusting. The people were nice but the food was so gross. I had the lobster Mac and cheese and it make me sick. Took a couple of bites and had to throw it out. Waste of time.

Food wasn't all that, but also this incredibly rude worker didn't seem to want to be taking my order. he seemed rather inconvenienced by my request for a mac and cheese at the MAC AND CHEESE STORE. also, he didn't want to give us any forks. Cant say the service was very good. When we ordered, he was being very rude and yelled at us to speak up several times but wasn't really listening. He handed us drinks without ice or straws, and the mac and cheese itself was rather liquidy and kind of not very good. Overall, this was disappointing and not good service whatsoever. I think it would be better without this man showing the utmost sass towards each costumer. This interaction was riddled with disrespect and rudeness. Was hoping the food would be better than the service, however it was not. When asked for broccoli, I received a single piece of broccoli, with a side of insulting nasty looks. Didn't appreciate.

This place is located in Woodfield Mall in the food court, so there is plenty of parking that shouldn't be a concern. I love the concept of being able to customize your own bowl, grilled cheese sandwich and taco!! I opted for the Lobster Mac & Cheese bowl this time around and it was really good. If you aren't a huge fan of truffle this may not be for you as that truffle flavor is very apparent but if you are I definitely recommend!

Absolutely terrible service! They said they'll open at 12p and they didn't open until 12:05p , had nothing ready. Menu screen wasn't up and loaded so I had to look up on my phone the menu. The guy who was building the mac and cheese had a sense of urgency but the guy at the cash register was slower than a snail. There's a line of 10 people deep behind me, the prepped mac n cheese building up, and he goes over to fill a sauce squeeze bottle. Def not recommended if you're hungry and need a quick lunch. You're gonna be spend your hour lunch just waiting for a Mac n cheese.

I ordered the chicken parm Mac and cheese ate half of it and got full. 30 mins later was throwing it up in the mall bathroom and spent the rest of my day in the bathroom at home. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE

The employees are not very nice and their food is not good at all. The Mac and cheese was hard and dry and the sandwich was burnt. Couldn't even finish my food. Don't waste your money just go elsewhere.

Overly priced and the food was plain no flavor and they are skimpy with the cheese which is literally a huge Nono when it comes to Mac & cheese. The service was painful Slow I waited over 10 mins for hard Mac & cheese bites. Two thumbs way down

Okay so me and my friend just got done shopping and were super hungry we were both like ooo i love mac n cheese! I payed for the meal because i had money for it and let me just say, that was the worst 20 dollars i've ever spent. We watched them make our food, they put in what looked like noodle water sauce? And some slabs of what me and my friend said looked like Kraft cheese. They then put it in the oven for like 5 minutes and handed it to us. At this point i could already tell i regretted my purchase. We tried it and thats actually the worst mac and cheese i've ever had in my life oh my god. We agreed that we would've rather had box mac and cheese for like 1 dollar. The food was grainy and watery and had like a hard cheese surface above the soggy cheese water. We were forcing ourselves to eat it because it was so expensive even though it was nasty. My stomach hurt so bad after that i actually felt sick. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Took over 20 minutes, food was just okay. They forgot one of our meals and we had to ask for utensils and the drinks we ordered. For the price it is definitely not worth it. Went on a Thursday at about 2 PM, wasn't very busy. Hard pass on this place the next time we find ourselves at the mall food court.

The "crispy" chicken tastes like hairy vomit. Absolutely disgusting. The tots were soggy and wet. Crispy tots with the melty cheese is what we needed. The cheese was actually pretty good contrary to the rest of the dish. The toasted cheese and cheese pulls really saved this dish. The staff was nice and the veggie toppings tasted fresh and saved the dish but the stars of the dish really lacked.

I enjoy posting positive reviews for restaurants but cannot do it this time. This place is a total rip-off. Took our granddaughters to lunch today at the Schaumburg/Woodfield location. Food was not good. Way, way overpriced. Wife and I had two plain, "classic" grilled cheese sandwiches. I make better myself, these were nothing special and were served with a few (obviously from frozen) tater-tots. Asked for water to drink but all they provide is bottled water - at $2.25 each. Granddaughters had two Mac n' Cheese kids meals. They could not eat their meal. The Mac n' Cheese is premade macaroni, tossed in a plastic bowl, cheese is added and then the bowl is heated so the cheeses melts. Looked and tasted unappetizing. I give this place an "F" for taste, quantity, and especially the overpriced menu items.

Every single time I come to wood-field mall I have to go here, I get the Parmesan chicken bowl and I love it every time, while the food can take a while to get, it is all worth it on the account of how great it tastes and how friendly the workers are. + the shape of the Tupperware is a heart which makes it a great destination with your significant other.I would definitely recommend!

I was looking forward to getting some great Mac and cheese but it didn't happen The food was bland, cold and they were out of several items Wouldn't recommend it

I ordered a kids meal and was surprised at how small the portion was. It was tiny and it's definitely not cheap there. The kids meal says on the menu it includes a drink, however the employee did not give any options and gave just an apple juice. My kid is allergic to apple juice and I did see the smaller kid sized fountain drink cups. He said that was not part of the kids meal even though the menu says "drink" not "apple juice". The employee working was just really rude and slopped our order together. Better to go somewhere else. Customer service is terrible and food is bland. There's not much flavor to the plain Mac and cheese. You're better off going somewhere else.

The amount of food for your money was good but the Mac and cheese was flavorless. I had to ask for salt packets and that helped make it tolerable. I got a build your own Mac and cheese and it was not creamy and gooey like I think Mac and cheese should be l. Also, they had no ice for the sodas and the sodas were flat and nasty.

Only ordered a classic Mac n cheese with a side of broccoli at 11am. It took over 20 minutes to get the food as the first person to order. The belt to heat up the food was literally stopped for at least 10 minutes. The guy at the register didn't even say anything about the order and instead started to count the cash in the register and open up the rolled up coins with his teeth while the line was long at this point. I had to ask about the side of broccoli twice telling him it was on the counter that was cooked at the same time. He talked back at me, him thinking it wasn't heated up. Service and food was awful, portion was a kiddie size when it was a full size order. Don't waste your time or money here. All the employees have no customer service.

Crap. I ordered the Buffalo chicken bowl. First off the don't put enough cheese in it. Only half the noodles got any cheese. They didn't put any blue cheese in my bowl. Maybe 5 pieces of chicken. I don't know if it is poor execution or just poor training. Will not return.

Food totally sucks, the Mac is dry they skimp on the cheese. I paid $20 for their lobster pasta and it was the worst pasta I've ever had. Box Mac and cheese is far more superior to this!!! Don't waste you time or your money!

Artur, was such a professional person. Always very knowledgeable when we asked questions. He is very polite and always wants to please the customer. This is the type of person a company wants to have working for them.

Started off with rude customer service. If you dislike your job, then don't do it. Then the burnt grilled cheese, soggy tater tots and under flavored stale Mac & cheese. Save your money & buy your food elsewhere. 0/10 recommend but had to give at least one star for a review.

So ass. They didn't even greet me when I walked up. I ordered the Cuban and they probably put 20 pickles in there to the point where the flavor of the pickle juice over took the flavor of the sandwich. I also had to remind them about giving me my water twice. Service was trash.
