Google
I had the Banana Cream pie and it is very delicious! Sometimes anything banana cream is usually very sweet with an overpowering taste of bananas, not this pie! You won't need to down a glass of water once you're done. I ate the whole thing and only had 2 sips of coffee, it was that good! The balance of all the ingredients is perfect 👌 I highly recommend this place! I will definitely keep coming back!

On our way home from a road trip, I always enjoy discovering at least one special place that offers gluten-free options to stop and try. During our recent journey, we opted for I Like Pie in Claremont. Nestled in the old town area, it exuded charm and character. Parking on the street, we strolled through a quaint shopping and dining district to reach the entrance. The bakery, though simple, had a delightful ambiance. Inside and outside seating options were available, and the selection of pies was impressive, but only two were gluten free: Key Lime and Mixed Berry. Concerned about my allergies, I inquired about the ingredients, and the staff graciously shared the information. While they take precautions, a notice indicated the possibility of cross-contamination due to the non-dedicated facility. Despite this, I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad I did. The pies, resembling more of cupcakes or muffins, were delectable. Our favorite was the Key Lime, with its perfect balance of tartness and lime flavor. The crust, with its crumbly texture and buttery taste, complemented the filling beautifully. Notably, I experienced no adverse reactions, which was a significant relief. Although we passed on beverages during our visit, I was slightly disappointed by the lack of loose-leaf tea, as only tea bags were available. Nonetheless, the organic tea options looked promising, leaving room for a potential try on our next visit. While the prices leaned towards the higher side, the quality of the pies more than justified it. Without hesitation, we agreed that we would happily make a detour to pick up more of these delightful treats on our future drives through the area.

Google
Cute little pie shop. I love pies, and this place had a pretty good variety. The service was great! I had the chicken pot pie (liked) , the lemon ice box (I didn't really care for), and the mixed berry handpicked pie (liked). I'd definitely return to try other pies.

Google
So delicious!!! Highly recommend! I pre-ordered multiple mini pies, savory pies, veggie hand pies and gluten free pies for a birthday/Halloween party. The ordering process was super easy in the website and the fall selection of pies was great. It’s hard to find delicious gluten free desserts and their selection of GF food is so great!!! I’ll definitely order from them again.

Google
I love this place! I was in the area and wanted to a little dessert so I stopped in. There's plenty of street parking around and a small parking lot as well. It's in a little plaza with several other restaurants and there were lots of tables for seating. The pies all looked amazing, mostly sweet pies but there were some savory as well. They also had a small selection of gluten free pies. I got the key lime, chocolate chip chess, and peaches 'n cream. They were all delicious! If I had to choose a favorite it would be the key lime, the graham cracker crust was slightly salty and the filling was smooth and tart. My sister loved the chocolate chip chess pie, which came with a tiny cookie on top. I can't recommend this place enough and I can't wait to go back.

They have over 10 different mini pies, vegan pies, hand pies, savory pies, & pice cream (definitely wanna try it next time). If you’re in the mood for pie and in this area, definitely give them a visit. ⁣ ⁣ 🥧 my favorites are the pineapple upside down & turtle brownie pies. Let me know which one you like in the comments below. Have a nice weekend, foodie fam! Ciao 👋

I enjoyed a quick dinner here on my way to the Randall Planetarium. Pros: savory quiche with cheese and potatoes had a comforting flavor profile, texture, and the crust flaky and significant. The sweet individual key lime pie exploded with tart and sweet delight. The whipped cream balanced the two very well. The fresh made to brew peach iced tea went well with all flavor profiles. A wonderfully subtle melange for the well buttered crust. Cons: the prices are slightly high in that I paid almost $20 for two miniature pies ans a drink. There were no free refills on iced tea.

Google
Delicious!!!Cozy little bakery in downtown Claremont inside the theater plaza. Super clean, and inviting with a farmhouse vibe. Had the Cookie butter Pice Cream and it was unbelievable amazing!! But they also had savory options if sweet pies aren't your thing. They also offer a variety of drinks. Can't go wrong here. Will be back to try more favors and the staff was super friendly and welcoming

Yelp
A cute little store that sells a mean chicken pie. Located in a city named Claremont, I like Pie Bakeshop should be on your list to eat. We came here on the weekend, and it was pretty busy. This store is small with only a few seats inside. But there are places to sit outside. I also got to try the spicy potato and a fall favorite pumpkin. I can't wait to come back and eat another savory chicken pot pie. It was fresh, warm, and just delicious.

Yelp
My fav is still the key lime! The filling is perfectly balanced, zesty and creamy with just the right amount of tang. The crust is buttery and crumbly, providing smooth filling. Although it's still very pricy for a tiny little pie.

Yelp
We were eating sushi nearby and didn't realize the I Like Pie shop was just right here! It was about 7pm or so and they still had a variety of selection of pies. Each pie is about $8, which feels kind expensive for what it is? I could get a whole one for around $15. The staff here was really nice as it was our first time. Although, the shop is a bit small and intimate, but enough indoor and outdoor seats to enjoy. We started off with the traditional pumpkin pie. Honestly, it tasted just like the one I get from Costco pumpkin pie lol. Although, at least the filling here is smoother than Costco's? I wish the crust would be a bit more crunchier. We also took an order of S'mores back home. We tried the s'mores the other day and it was extremely sweet. It was smooth as well, and the pie was pretty, but definitely toooo sweet for us to eat. Overall, it was nice to try. Although, better options elsewhere.

Yelp
Walked in after having dinner in the promenade. This business has been in operation since 2013, it's a shame I haven't noticed it until recently. It's a clean cute little shop that serves bigger than bite side pies. We tried the two pies that are frequently sold; the banana caramel salted pie and the key lime pie. The banana pie was sweet and salty a clever pairing. The Key lime didn't disappoint, it was tart and the crust was perfect. Chicken pot pie you are next on the list.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for dessert if I want to splurge a little. Got the pumpkin and salted caramel banana cream. The pies come in a cute mini size. The inside is clean and welcoming. There are a few tables on the inside and some outside as well. Service was prompt and the worker was extremely cheerful. Both pies were amazing - love the crust to inside ratio! Definitely on the pricey end but it hasn't stopped me from stopping by multiple times for a treat.

Yelp
Scrumptious Friday night time treats. Small enough to not feel guilty yet tasty enough to return. My two favs are the s.short cake and salted caramel banana. Customer service was top notch as well, check them out.

Yelp
Best Pies ever! Recently ordered the mini pies for thanksgiving, they were a bit smaller than expected but still tasty. Ended up ordering a Berry Pie as well and my oh my was it delicious. Honestly all the flavors are amazing, if you're into Chicken pot pies definitely should try it. Check back often as the flavors change according to the season. Can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
I Like Pie Bakeshop makes me like pies! I wasn't a huge fan of pie in general, but I changed my mind after I started going to I Like Pie. They have very unique and delicious pie flavors. In addition to the flavors, the pie crust has light, flaky and flavorful thin layers. The place has nice and cozy vibe. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us once we entered the shop and were checking if we had any questions. We ordered multiple pies. For sweet pies we had ; -Key lime jelly pie -Lemon Buttermilk -Chocolate Sin -Salted Caramel Banana cream And for savory we got; -Chicken pot pie -Onion Potato Quiche Honestly, I liked all the flavors. I am a chocolate lover , but I couldn't decide which one is my favorite because all of them tasted scrumptious, delicious and flavorful. The only problem that we faced that there were limited parking spots. We drove around until we found one. In General, It is a great and unique pie shop.

Yelp
Beautiful boutique bakery. I tell you no lies, if ever I wanted to set aside veganism thier salted caramel banana pie made me step back and think about my life choices, LOL . It is beautiful, your eyes can taste it. At my age, I've accumulated some wisdom and discipline and that tart had me thinking about allofit (yes, Allofit is one word here).. So I chose the apple crumble which happens to be deliciously vegan please and thank you. I'm now motivated to create the vegan salted caramel banana sinful thingy . This is definitely a foodies delight. See my pics!

Yelp
First time here! Loved the bright, inviting interior and appreciated the hospitable, helpful staff! I had a get together with two friends in the evening and decided to bring along three flavors of sweet pie in the jelly jar size, so I ordered them online to pickup after work. I chose strawberry rhubarb, key lime, and chocolate sin. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. (I truly believe they do like pie!) They had my order ready to go, and told me about the free rewards program for people who are regulars. They also gave me a helpful card that showcased all the flavors and their designs, plus gave instructions on how best to heat them in a microwave. My daughter wanted to try the chocolate sin flavor when I got home. I should've heated it 10 seconds at a time because the suggested 30 seconds totally melted it too much. The flavors were still really good and the graham cracker crust was still intact but I'll have to try it again either at room temp or less heated for the intended textures. Maybe the heating should be reserved for the savory pies. I don't know what I was thinking. The fruit pies eaten at room temp (2 cupcake-sized pies shared among 3 friends) boasted these thick but flaky crusts packed full of sweet and tart creaminess--two mouthfuls of each flavor was actually plenty of dessert for me! If it weren't 8 p.m. I would've enjoyed them with coffee, mmmmm !
google avatar

Cathy D.

Yelp
I love getting their pice creams here! Today I got their Strawberry Rhubarb pie warmed up. It wasn't too sweet. Also the staff is always so patient and nice. :) It's been quiet inside since the shop is small but the outdoor space is very nice.

Joy A.

Yelp
Way too overpriced. It's not bad tasting but not as good as they charge you for it. I've had better for less the cost.
google avatar

Eve C.

Yelp
Service was great and attentive. The shop was very clean. Pies were organized and neatly shown behind the display cases. We got the key lime JJ and the salted caramel banana JJ: pie shells were thick and hardy, not sure what to make of them really because I am not a pie person. It's different from the typical graham cracker pie crust, is it better? I think that depends on your personal taste. Speaking of which, I found both to be a bit too sweet for my taste. The key lime flavor lacks tartness and that citrus tangy taste. I wasn't able to detect anything special about the salted caramel banana pie, there were two pieces of banana and beyond that was just some pudding and whipped cream on top. Overall, the experience was not memorable.
google avatar

Pam B.

Yelp
Was it delicious? yes it was. Was it friendly? Yes, service was. Was it clean? Yes. Was it worth the price? Idk...kinda didn't think so. The salted caramel banana cream pie was good filling, slot of whipped topping, verge of too much. But the crust...was the absolute best I ever had. Might be debatable as it was thick, like a cookie, but flaky. I liked it, husband said meh. Husband got the banana split and said it was it good, but for the price he'd rather go to Marie Calendars for a half/whole pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Just finished the chicken pot pie it's really good! I love the crust, so tasty. I'm glad i found this place. Just realized it's been around for a while. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Wanted some sweets and everything here looked, and tasted really great. It's a bit on the pricey end but they're great mini pies!

Yelp
I like pie is finally open again. Went on their reopening weekend. Was able to enter a drawing for a free thanksgiving pie. Stopped in for some treats before hitting Route 66. So these little pies get me every time. The potato pie had the Indian flavors it was so good. I did miss the chutney that usually goes with it they were out that day. But nonetheless I really enjoyed every bite. The crust is so golden, flakey but holds its shape, buttery but not crumbly, moist not dry, just pure perfection. Had the other pie in the car the whole time and opened it when we arrived to our destination. Let me tell you the pecan pie... goodness gracious great balls of fire this pie was so good! The crust and filling were not overly sweet like others I've tried. There's surprises with every bite packed into this palm sized parcel. It had this zen balance absolutely delicious! Great service, clean interior and well organized. You'll leave smiling.

Yelp
Hoo wee! This bakery is so yummy! I mostly do only pick ups but the it is a cute little shop that's bright and inviting with a small dedicated area to sit. The service is always great which is quick and timely. My favorite flavor is the Cookie Butter, but you cannot go wrong with any flavor at all! The crust is amazing, it ties each filling altogether with the toppings.
google avatar

Nell C.

Yelp
Ridiculous sweet mini pies for $8. These individual pies are so cute and a quick sweet dessert. I tried the Dutch Apple Pie and the Key Lime Pie. The apples have a lovely tart taste and full of flavor. Key Lime broke apart quick and custard was too soft with a bitter lime zest after taste. Both pies crust were very thick and crumbled when you put your spork in. Overall good if you like very sugary desserts. This place is for you! Great service and very clean store! Thank you!
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I've now been to this awesome pie bakery more times than I can count, and I don't live in the area. We go every time, or several times, rather, when I visit family nearby. Every pie I've ever ordered is perfect, and they offer a seasonal selection that showcases the fruits and tastes of summer, winter, etc. Staff is helpful in helping make recommendations when you have questions are unsure what to choose. The takeout packaging is sturdy and very cute. So I've taken a box of pies with me as gifts. You really can't go wrong here, just be prepared to go back wanting more pie.

Yelp
The Carmel apple pie was amazing!! We got the cookie butter, 2 different apple pies and smores pie. They were pretty good! Good consistency and perfect size. Could be a personal or small portions to share. My husband and I split them all and had them that night and the next day. Very god customer service the woman behind the counter was very helpful and upbeat! I would come here again
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by for dessert and ordered a couple of pies, banana cream, and salted caramel banana these are good. They have a variety of pies with different flavors and are handcrafted. Customer service was really great, the young gentlemen who served us were courteous, friendly, and attentive. There is inside dining and outside dining with a few tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy your dessert. This is the first time we've been to this establishment and we enjoyed it. There is plenty of parking. The handicap stalls close by.
google avatar

Zaina H.

Yelp
Mini pies is a clever idea. They make everything fresh in-house and the ingredients list are an ask away. We had the s'mores and chocolate chip chess, which is their most popular. It's nothing special and that was probably the most disappointing aspect. The crust was okay, the chocolate chip chess was too sweet, but the chocolate ganache was delicious. Overall, it lacked flavor and innovation that pie should have - eschpeially for the price point.

Yelp
First timer here! For starters, such a sweet warm greeting when we walked in. We picked out two pies. sat down in their cozy little shop and ate them. Then had to get one more cuz they're sooooo good! Such a sugar rush but so worth it! So full of flavor. Such a cute little pie shop. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Amazing pies and always a treat! I recently tried the cookie butter one and it was so good!! Not too sweet and a great balance of cream filling to whipped cream to crust. I think what makes the jar pies so nice is that you can have crust with every bite. There are unique seasonal flavors, especially during the holiday season. If there are specific flavors you want, be sure to get their early or order ahead so they don't run out. My favorites include mixed berry, banana salted caramel, cookie butter, key lime, and anything pumpkin during the fall. The staff are super friendly. This location has a restroom. And you can sign up for rewards by entering your phone number. Theres a few tables inside and outside for seating. Turnover is pretty quick and lots of people just carry out so finding a spot hasn't been too bad.
google avatar

Alicia Z.

Yelp
Cute little pie shop. The pies are cupcake sized and so adorable. However, for $7.50 a pie, it is crazy expensive. I got the salted caramel banana pie and it was good but not sure if it was worth the price since the portion was pretty small.

Yelp
**May 2023: Saturday Evening Visit** It was national apple pie day and I needed to celebrate the iconic dish. I was in the Pomona area and didn't finish my photoshoot until late. Most pie shops were already closed but "I Like Pie Bakeshop" was still open - thank goodness! When my friend and I entered we noticed all the individual portion of pies and oh my - they are so cute! There were other flavors but I was on a mission to get apple pie. Tip: Check-in with Yelp and get free ice cream with your pie! The staff is really friendly and they ask if I wanted my pie served room temperature or warmed up, I asked for the later and really enjoyed it. There are a few seats inside, but I saw many patrons take their pies to go. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would be happy to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
I'll start off by saying that this is a very simple yet cute shop with excellent customer service. We stopped in for a hearty breakfast/lunch and couldn't choose between the pies so we chose them all. I was most excited about the quiche, which reminded me of a French onion soup; however, the clear winner was the chicken pot pie. Don't let their size fool you, they are pretty hefty and filling pies.
google avatar

Erica K.

Yelp
I was delighted upon entrance to the Pie Shop. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pie and it was indeed tangy. The coleslaw was creamy which I prefer over dry, very tasty. The presentation was on par. My favorite is the Key Lime Pie. It was as good as when I had one in Key West. Surprised The peanut butter pie was a gift for my brother who enjoyed it immensely. I will definitely recommend and return. The pet friendly patio and puppuccino was appreciated on my Pup's 1st Birthday.

Karen L.

Yelp
Sam, Sam. Sam.... don't ever tell a customer to calm down. If you can't handle an upset customer speaking to you because you got their order wrong, maybe don't work in the service/retail industry. Also, don't demand a customer answer your question before providing them information. "You didn't answer my question, you need to answer my question." How, can I tell you when I'll call back, when you can't even tell me when a manager will be in. Never coming here again, on the other hand called Pasadena location and had a very helpful employee try to get manager info for me.
google avatar

Chantik R.

Yelp
The pies were pretty good. The cookie butter was more of a cheesecake than a cupcake . Honestly tho, almost $10 for one cupcake is crazy-

Nathaniel M.

Yelp
Tastiness in a mini pie tin! Will definitely be going back. Keylime is SUPERB! Friendly staff, quick service, and a nice shopping center around it. Don't miss out.
google avatar

Yelp
Omg! What a find? Googled desserts and found this gem! The staff were super sweet and knowledgeable about the products and served with the perfect perkiness for a pie spot. The place was clean and inviting and had an outdoor area to eat that was also clean. Definitely recommend this super yummy spot. Oh, and good luck deciding on one!
google avatar

Yelp
Deeeeelish It's been some time since I've been in but our two visits have been lovely. The staff is great and I love a place who has mini pies! They may look small but they're deep. They have sweet, savory and hand pies. I loved their chicken pot the most and would go to a dinner spot and get a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. A perfect meal. Everything we've tried, we enjoyed. Fresh and flavorful. No complaints, except for living far from them :( Next time I'm in the area, I'll pay them a visit.

Jess R.

Yelp
This shop's PIES are so delicious! They are the right size, decadent, and favorable. Not too sweet, just perfect. The marshmallow and chocolate flavors are so good together. The crust is also good by itself or with the other two ingredients. You can't go wrong with " I Like Pies"!
google avatar

Alma H.

Yelp
I have had several pies and they all have been good. My favorite and go to is the Dutch apple pie because the crust is always deliciously buttery and not under baked.

Alvin E.

Yelp
Was not impressed! The prices are ridiculous and the selection is terrible. The service was very inhospitable and rude. Don't waste your time or money at this place!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm gluten free sooo I was so happy to eat pie again it was delicious, girls are very friendly!Hopefully you'll introduce gluten free pumpkin pie for the holidays

Yelp
i went during the week of thanksgiving and they were really busy but very nice and efficient! the store was clean and all the workers were super nice and helpful. the mini pies were a good size for my boyfriend and i to share and they were too sweet. i would come back again!

Yelp
Got some pies here for my best friends birthday. Customer service was top tier and pier were perfection. 10/10

Yelp
This place still turns out THE BEST pies EVER. ANYWHERE. SERIOUSLY. Haven't had them since 2019, and on a very recent trip to Claremont, our visit wasn't complete without a visit to I LIKE PIE BAKESHOP cuz we LOVE this place. We've only eaten their sweet pies, haven't tried any of their savory things, but I'm okay with that. So many flavors to choose from. We buy the small pies (not the mini, but not large either), and we share, but not in one sitting. We bought a banana creme, cookie butter, chocolate chess, lemon danish, and pumpkin praline. All outstanding, all so flavorful, flaky pie crust. Perfection always. I also learned they now have a shop in Pasadena, which is a good 45 min. closer to us... even though Pasadena is still an hour away. This could be problematic, lol, in the best of ways, though.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Deliciously overpriced!!! The pies come in all kinds of flavors and types. Some remind me of pies some remind me of cupcakes. We were present during the Fall 2022 menu. We ordered: the salted banana cream pie, cookie butter, and pumpkin praline. Banana cream pie: it was quite delicious. It reminded me of a cream pie. It was not too sweet. The crust was nice. There is a banana at the bottom. Cookie butter: on point. It had cheesecake inside that was silky smooth cream cheese filling. Pumpkin praline: it was aiight. It was too pricey for being basic. Would I return? Probably. Any time soon? Not likely.

Yelp
Since I had a bit of a longer lunch today on a chill Thursday, I decided to roam about Claremont streets a tad. I normally don't even have time to drive out. I was headed to Some Crust Bakery, but they actually closed early like at 1pm, PST. Hence, I Yelped my way to 'I Like Pie Bakeshop.' I now found an alternative here aside from 'Some Crust~'their coffee was brewed fresh upon order. I pleasantly found a Yelp discount when I checked in: I showed the cashier my check-in offer and then they generously offered me the check-in discount so I thought I had better try something from their shop, supporting them. I would return again for their drinks but not the dessert items because those actually come off unattractively pricey which was why I took a star off for. I understand inflation but $7.99 for a medium sized dessert pie is not worth it. I find their drinks reasonably priced though. The salted caramel ice cream was delicious! I'm glad we have a huge fridge in my classroom so that I was able to freeze the rest of my salted caramel ice cream and still enjoy it at home after work. Thanks for making my day today, 'i Like Pie Bakeshop.' Ill return again for coffee drinks.... When I got their house brew, it was already half day over, I ended up bringing the house brew home for tomorrow AM instead.

Yelp
Turtle Pie, new fave. Brownie center, caramel, nuts, etc etc. What's not to like? I like the staff there, always friendly and full of smiles. I can't imagine them being upset, there's pie involved. Either way, I Like Pie still got it!

Jessica C.

Yelp
Cutest pies around ! We love treating ourselves to a dessert in the village & one of our favorites is I like pie. The service is always great everyone is nice and welcoming. Stop by and enjoy a pie ! They are definitely worth it ! They make a great gift as well !
