Claremont Shop I Like Pie Opens in Old Town Pasadena - Eater LA

"Decade-old pie purveyor I Like Pie is opening a second shop in Pasadena this Saturday, November 5 at 38 South Raymond Avenue in Old Town. Wife-and-husband team Annika and Rob Corbin founded the original store in 2012 after an unexpected layoff. They opened the casual confectionary in the sleepy college town of Claremont, which is located about 30 miles east of the new location. 'Opening a store in Pasadena has been a goal I have long dreamed of,' Annika tells Eater. 'Building a presence in Pasadena also brings I Like Pie closer to our customers who come from LA.'" - Cathy Chaplin

I visit "I Like Pie" in Pasadena quite often, and it’s one of my top favorite places in the area. I’ve consistently had positive experiences. The pastries are always well-presented and of excellent quality, and the variety ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The location is convenient, and their hours are ideal for stopping by at any time during the day (closed Mon-Tue). I especially love the service—staff members are consistently professional and attentive, with a special mention to Ashlyn, the manager, whose exceptional approach to customer care is greatly appreciated. For anyone in Pasadena looking for a reliable bakery with great service, "I Like Pie" is certainly worth a visit!

I live in San Diego , needed to visit Pasadena on Saturday. Found a place has good reviews at Vietnamese restaurant for lunch and I parked in front of this cute pie place and thought I should try this cute pie place after lunch. Got key lime pie and it was so good ❣️❤️😋

I might cry… I just had pie. It’s hard you see, to find crust free… of gluten but still light, crispy. But look no more, for you have scored. They’ve mastered it, like, oh my lord… Let all your doubts slip away and die. Now taste anything here and shout “I LIKE PIE” Key lime was my fave.

👍 Fantastic customer service - staff were knowledgeable and happy to guide us through the various pie choices. 📍 Located in a great spot, the restaurant’s setting complements the charming vibe of old town Pasadena. 🎨 The interior of I Like Pie creates an upscale ambiance, making it a delightful place to enjoy a sweet treat. 🍰 For those who love unique pie recipes, this is a paradise! 🥧 5-Star Minis: Mixed Berry: A perfect balance of sweet and tart. 🍓 Key Lime: Classic, with a tart and wonderfully creamy texture. 🍈 Caramel Apple: A delightful twist on apple pie, topped with a dollop of caramel. 🍏 🥧 4-Star Treats: Butter Pecan Mini: Lovely almond and pecan flavors, though it missed the mark on the butter pecan taste. 🌰 Cherry Hand Pie: The crust was flaky and delightful, but the cherry filling was more of a sugary purée than expected. 🍒 Overall, I Like Pie serves up deliciously crafted pies in a cozy, upscale setting, making it a must-visit for dessert lovers.

Google
I'm excited to say, I've found a new gourmet dessert spot. The perfect size desserts without having to buy an entire pie. They have gluten-free options that sell quickly. Because they're individual pies you can select a variety like we did. We got the last banana cream, cookie butter, coconut cream, pineapple upside down, chocolate chip chess including a holiday berry hand pie (looks like a fruit turnover). Can't wait to share with family & friends!

Google
I love this place so much. I accidentally came across it and fell in love. Their pies are so good for a nice sweet craving and offer ice cream as well to pair with them or a shake that’s mixed with a pie of your choice. I highly recommend to try any of their chocolate flavors. The staff is caring and kind and love the look of the shop.

Google
This is a fantastic gourmet pie shop where everything is baked fresh daily. Their gluten-free pies are amazing too and you can't tell the difference from the regular ones. Staff is very polite and the shop has a nice atmosphere for enjoying dessert. Limited street parking outside on Raymond.

Google
I Like Pie is a yummy bakery located in Old Town that specializes in handmade sweet and savory pies. They offer a variety of flavors, including classic apple, chocolate cream, chicken pot pie, and vegan options. The items we tried were so delicious pies and the staff provided friendly service. We had the Turkey back in the Fall, along with pumpkin and their hand pies. Thinking of Pi day, this is the perfect place to be.

Yelp
This little cute pie bakery is a must if you're in the area! We didn't dine in, but if we had more time I would have. This establishment is super cute and they have a good variety of pie options. They have delicious desserts for the people with a sweet tooth and they also have savory pies for those that are not dessert fans. I highly recommend both the savory and sweet pies. I was actually surprised how filling the pies are since they looked small, but as I started to devour my pies I realized these pies are pretty thick. It's a bit pricey, but very worth it since the size is pretty good. If you choose to dine in you can have them warm up your pie if it's a savory pie. Parking might be an issue since all I saw was the parking in front of the establishment. I don't know if there's other parking. If you haven't visited then you better come soon! I would love to come again. I'm happy I was able to visit on Pi Day 03/14/25.

Yelp
Great single serve pies! It's too bad today is their last day. Get it while you can! The pies come with instruction for storage and reheating.

Yelp
I thought the pies were good (dutch apple, banana cream, cookie, and key lime), but the best was definitely the chicken pot pie. Even though it looks small, it really is dense and tasty enough that it's worth the price.

Yelp
Staff greeted me upon entry. They were both very helpful with explaining the options available. Nice quiet place to grab a sweet or savory treat. They have a good amount of tables inside and outside as well as window seats. They have many options to choose from and they can heat them up for you to enjoy. Mini Pecan Pie- 10/10 Nice two-biter. It wasn't too sweet and the crust held up nice against a fork. It was the perfect size to feed your sweet tooth.

Yelp
I come to Pasadena just so I can come here... LOL. I love their pies. Yes they are a bit pricey, but they are worth it every time. I wish there was one closer to me! This time I tried the salted caramel banana and it was omg soo delicious! There was a layer of salted caramel at the bottom of the pie (drooling).. I'm still thinking about it. I also took home a caramel apple pie and ate it the next day. Microwaved for a little and it was divine! My boyfriend got s'mores and brought home a pumpkin pie. He said both were so good. My boyfriend and I have not had a bad flavor. They have been all exceptional. Can't wait to think of another reason to come to Pasadena to come back :)

Yelp
After having dinner in Pasadena we went to Yelp to find desert. We chose this place because other photos showed they had more than just mini pies. We came in on a Sunday around 5pm and they didn't have much. The "mini" pies are tiny, as small as a cupcake. We ordered 2 and were shocked at the price, $18 for 2 tiny things??? The vegan apple was good but for the price? Not good enough

Yelp
We wanted to check this place out since it's relatively new! We got the prize winning peanut butter and chocolate pie - the peanut butter layer was amazing since it's very rich and creamy! However, the pie overall is overly sweet for our taste - this is honestly just personal preference. They also have savory items that we would like to try! Service was great! You first choose your pies before you make your way to checkout. There are parking structures nearby but street parking is limited.

Yelp
I had discovered I Like Pie through a post on my Instagram feed. When I had a trip coming up to visit a friend in Pasadena, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. We parked nearby at a parking structure that was practically across the street from I Like Pie. My friend and I walked over and decided to check out all of the flavors to make a decision. We also received a spiel from the lady working which was very helpful. I decided to get a Mixed Berry pie heated up while my friend got a chicken pot pie. We sat down to eat and dug in! It was soooo good. The crust was the perfect texture and wasn't too thick. The filling was gooey and jammy and not-too-sweet. My friend said her pie was really delicious. Honestly, we enjoyed our goodies so much we decided to take a couple of pies to go. We brought them home and ate them the next day. Super delicious! Overall, really enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Super cute bake store. It's very modern and pretty inside. Service is fast and food was delicious. We got the chicken pot pie and turkey stuffing pie. You can order the pies to go or to eat there. We ate the pies there, so they reheated them in the microwave. They have wifi for customers, so I could see it being a good study lunch spot. My iced chai was okay, nothing too special. We ordered boxes of cupcakes to go, which made great gifts. It's definitely pricier, but a solid bake store.

Yelp
Great place for pie. The banana cream and chess pie with chocolate were the best. Highly recommend for pie lovers who want to try a variety.

Yelp
First time here on a cute date night with the girlfriend and when we came in, we were greeted warmly by Bella and Ashley and the lobby is so calming and warm to match their welcoming. We were given some suggestions on their favorite pies and coffees and I was so grateful for it because they were delicious!! I'll definitely be back to try more from here. 10/10 for atmosphere because the music in the background is calming and relaxing piano. The wallpaper, the accents of the cut flowers on the marble tabletops, the retro signage on the windows--complete win. Thank you

Yelp
I LOVE the place! Pies aren't really my go to dessert choice, but I think the spot really perfected their recipe. I tried the cookie butter pie and I still can't stop thinking of it! The shop is small, but there are some seats if you would like to eat it there. However, it seems like the locations is more catered to a pick up and go, as I didn't see anyone sitting there eating. I am usually pretty indecisive and I'm very appreciative that the staff members didn't rush me when ordering.

Yelp
Such a wonderful place I stumbled across! *Pictures are taken from different visits* I love these cute single serving pies!! They have such variety of flavors to choose from as well as savory options. Vegan and gluten free options as well! The shop itself is very clean and cute! Staff has always been friendly each time I visit. They have seasonal pie flavors so I feel like I'm able to try something new every time which is cool. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're ever in the area!

Yelp
You know when you just want a little something to satisfy the sweet tooth craving? Well I was walking past and here was I LIKE PIE. There may not have been a craving but it's just about PIE! Who doesn't love pie?! I picked up a few for after dinner. Yes. I was able to hold back until after dinner. The pies were clouds like just like cheesecake. Creamy and soft. I love key lime so this was a hit for me and not too tart. The cookie butter was like whipped cream with a cookie butter crust. I'll take this full size please-12" lol! Turtle was yummy not too sweet. An extra squeeze of caramel sauce and whipped cream would have been amazing but that's me going overboard. Service is courteous and quick. Shop is clean and with indoor dining available. Metered Parking on the street available. Definitely coming back to try other flavors!

Yelp
Delicious--I have high standards for dessert and especially pie, but I'll definitely be back for more. Key lime pie was phenomenal; I loved the custard (balanced sweet and tart) and especially the crust (buttery and smooth). Bonus that the serving size is great for when you don't want a huge serving left over to sit in the fridge. I brought the pies home, but the inside of the place is really nice for those who want to sit down and eat there!

Yelp
I Like Pie Bakeshop is the place to go for pie lovers! I had my first taste of their pies back in 2022 and instantly fell in love! There used to only be a shop in Claremont (yes, I drove that far for pies) but now with the newer location in Pasadena, it's so much closer to home! The location in Pasadena is down Raymond so I would suggest parking down green street for the closest parking structure. The bakeshop is meticulously clean and roomy, so a great place to come and sit and enjoy your pie. I've had a few of their savory pies (the caramelized onion and potato quiche as well as their pulled pork) and a selection of their sweet pies, of which I would recommend to try the strawberry rhubarb and/or the mixed berry. They have a variety of flavors some of which are available as hand pies, jelly pies, mini pies, and 10" pies. They do rotate some flavors in and out depending on the season so do come by frequently to check! For this order at the Pasadena location, I put in an online order to save a bit of time since their stores usually get busy. I ordered 2 of their 6 pie gift bundles that included a few of their spring flavors. It's decently priced and allows for people to try multiple flavors. The jelly pies are big enough to split in half to share or to have on your own; the perfect size. I had scheduled the order to picked up on March 15th when the store opened. When I got there I showed the front shop keeper my order number and for some reason my order wasn't prepped yet. They were apologetically and got to putting my order together quickly and was so nice about it. I completely understood the mishap since I realized the day before was PI day. But everything was quickly put into place and I was in and out quickly! Definitely come and try I Like Pie Bakeshop if you have not. Their pies are amazing and the staff is always friendly (in both locations). You won't regret it! :)

Yelp
11/10 service, taste, and aesthetic. I can't believe they've already been here a year but I only discovered it recently on instagram. They have a variety of flavors for this winter but opted to try chocolate chip to be safe. Looking forward to trying any summer flavors they'll have coming soon. The two employees (didnt get their name) with colored hair were so nice and hospitable. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I absolutely love pies but find the filling overwhelming, but these cupcake sized pies just had the perfect amount. The crust was soft and buttery as well. Overall a perfect dessert to have with milk. There's ample parking either street or the structure right next door.

Yelp
Wow, another review that failed to get written until now (I came here in June 2023). I must be slipping. Anyway, I know this shop from Claremont, even further away from us than Pasadena, but I was super thrilled to learn that this second location opened up closer to us (well, only by a little distance), but I'll take what I can get. They offer sweet and savory pies, but truth be told, I'm completely stuck on their sweet pies only. I love that they offer the sizes they do, and in the shape and size of a cupcake. They also have hand pies. Frankly, I don't care if they're expensive or not. They're THAT good !! The owner makes phenomenal pie crust, whether it's a traditional pie crust, shortbread, graham cracker, or whatever.... perfect every time. The pie flavors are so delicious, everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and there are always about 10 choices on their menu, although some of the flavors change with the seasons. Regardless of the time of year, this shop is always well stocked, and I have never seen them run out of anything, even at holiday time. My favorite flavors are their chocolate chip chess, lemon, banana cream, pumpkin praline, and cookie butter. I've tried most, if not all, of their sweet flavors, and they are ALL delicious. It's a good thing we don't live near Pasadena. The allure would be too strong for me. :)

Yelp
I want to like I Like Pie, but it's been disappointing the last few times we've gone. While the shop is cute with some street view seating and a display case, I just can no longer justify the prices of these pies. For two pies, we paid $18. The lemon icebox and the peanut butter chocolate. While the lemon icebox was pretty good (but not great), the peanut butter chocolate was absolutely vile and tasted like straight cream cheese. Staff are friendly and helpful, but do not keep the line moving if the person at the front of the line is still deciding.
google avatar

Yelp
The key lime pie is AMAZING. The others are good, but the key lime pie is the BEST. I love that they're smol pies that you can carry in the palm of your hand. So cute ! They're a little bit hard to eat because they're so smol but the cute factor is very much there!
google avatar

Yelp
I've visited I Like Pie in Claremont probably 5 years or so before and I remember really liking it. The Claremont location is still there I believe but I'm glad this location opened up as it's much more convenient for me! I throughly enjoyed my experience and the pies as well. I visited with my mom and walking in, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman. We ordered 5 pies in total. 3 were gifts for a friend, which the friend enjoyed well. We ordered the cookie butter and the mixed berry for ourselves. These were delicious, as expected. You can tell the quality and care put into the individual pies. There is also free/cheap parking in the garage across the street. It's $1 for the first 2 hours but we ended up not paying anything. We were only parked for maybe 10-15 min so that may be why but just a heads up! Overall we'll be back. Pies are delicious and service is great!

Yelp
My husband and I were walking around Pasadena this past weekend and came upon this place. I looked it up on yelp before going in and looked super cute. We wanted to get a few to take back home to share with our kids so decided to give it a try. There was a couple inside when we arrived and the worker seemed very helpful. We waited for a bit but then there was a line forming behind us. There was another worker that helped us. He was a bit nervous helping us and he did mention that it was his first day. He got another pie than the one I asked for, but it was another one that we were going to order anyways. It was his first day so wasn't really bothered by it. Just figured he didn't know the pies yet. We got the four set box with the dutch apple, lemon buttermilk, cookie butter and salted banana cream pie. We also ordered a strawberry hand pie afterwards. Honestly, it was my fault for not checking the prices for these pies before actually ordering. They were all $8-$9 per pie so honestly for the size it was a lot more than I expected. The pies were okay. They weren't AMAZING so was a bit disappointed. I don't think we will be returning.

Yelp
Small shop, blink and you could miss it but don't. I had be here before and wanted to bring a friend to try their delicious pies. They have savory and sweet pies. I've only had their sweet ones. We both got the chocolate satin pie. She thought the place was cute and the pie delicious. She even got a few to take home. The pies are individualized "pot pies". See pic . Looks like cupcake but has crust and filling like a pie.
google avatar

Tiana N.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing. Got the cherry jubilee pie cupcake. They were served cold. No one wants to eat pie cold. The cherry filling was not fresh filling. Just your standard bulk cherry filling. Flavors of crust and crumble topping was nothing amazing. Pictures are definitely deceiving. Also had the s'mores pie cupcake. Service was great, and it's definitely cute inside.
google avatar

Candie S.

Yelp
The CUTEST little pie shop in Old Town! I love their individual pies. They're perfectly packaged with so much flavor. They have so many options. From savory to vegan friendly. My favorites are the classics: key lime, apple and chocolate. I usually just pick up a couple when I'm running errands, but they'd be a great party favor to bring to your next get together!
google avatar

Branden D.

Yelp
Very small establishment and can be a little pricey but each pastry is worth the price. I really like the chocolate chip and Cookie butter options this bake shop has for its pie pastries. They're really good. Parking can be a challenge on the street there but there's plenty of parking that requires pay in the neighboring streets. I've been to this establishment twice considering the quality of pastries, great taste and the service here wasn't bad either.
google avatar

Yelp
So fun and different, but also fresh and homemade tasting. Really nice, friendly staff too. They made me decaf coffee even though they didn't have any ready, and upgraded my mini pie when something happened to it and gave me a full size one instead. Beautiful cafe with marble tabletops that has a warm, French cafe feeling to it.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking around downtown Pasadena for Pokemon Go I came across this small sign asking if I liked pie. Why yes, yes i do :) I walk in and take a look around and they have these cute little pies both fruit filled and savory. I am a sucker for an apple pie so I got one of their dutch apple pies and a latte. The crust and filling on this pie was delicious. The only downside for me is the apple slices were just too tart. If that's what you're after, this is going to be amazing for you. For me I like a bit more sweeter apple filling so might try something else next time but either way this is definitely a place you should check out.
google avatar

Melina C.

Yelp
My sister sent me the place's PI reel and decided to stop by after lunch in Pasadena to give it a try. Ordered three pies to go: key lime (recommended by the employee), strawberry shortcake, and salted caramel banana cream. My family all liked the pies. They are not too sweet, really nicely done. The crust was really good. The key lime wasn't too tart, just right. Because it was gluten free, it was even better, very good. The crust was different from the other two crusts but still good. Overall, a good pie choice if you're craving sweets but something not too sweet where you can take multiple bites and still not be in a sweet tooth coma.

Yelp
What a beautiful establishment! We were walking to Blue Bottle Coffee & passed by I Like Pie-boy are we happy we did! It was our first time! The pies are displayed beautifully, the establishment is clean, well-lit & aesthetically pleasing. The team members were kind & helpful in helping us with our order! They offered to warm up the pies for the ones we were eating in-house & bring it to your table. Our to-go order was well-packaged & there was quite a selection of pies! My friend and I got 2 chocolate chip chess and 2 mini dutch apple. My husband requested the Cookie Butter & I got him a mini chocolate chip chess & another mini dutch apple for myself. :) They have a rewards program, which I didn't sign up for but should have hig sight spending over $50 haha The mixed berry was popular and they were out of the mini :) They also offer bake-at-home options & savory options (chicken pot pie & shepherd's pie).

Yelp
Great new place if you're looking for unconventional pie. The concept here is that a "pie" is the size of a cupcake, but with the pie crust, filling and toppings. We tried several different flavors (was so hard to decide and narrow down all the great choices) and each one was absolutely fresh and delicious. A few of the flavors, peanut butter and key lime, were very decadent which made them hard to finish. All the berry flavors we tried were absolutely amazing, perfect texture and right amount of sweetness. Service was prompt and friendly and there's quite a few tables and chairs to sit at and enjoy your dessert. I will caution is that these cute pies will set you back almost $60 for half a dozen (about $7-$8 ea.). Definitely worth the splurge for a special occasion or to say you tried them.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Didn't even know this place was here in Pasadena. These mini cupcake pies pack a lot of flavor. The crust is the best part. I personally enjoyed the banana split although I'm a chocolate lover. Place is quaint and service is great. Will definitely return to try the different flavors.

Yelp
This is hands down my new go to desert spot. They have the best pie I've ever had. I love crust so the crust to filling ratio was perfect on the pies. Flaky, flavorful and not too sweet. They also offer it warm which is the only proper way to have baked goods. The customer service was great! Very friendly and hospitable staff. They even came out to the tables to ask how everything was and make conversation. The ambiance is nice and casual. They have a really nice interior design with the marble tables and other elegant looking things.
google avatar

Yelp
I bought a key lime pie and a chicken pot pie. The key lime is spot on. So tasty and sweet, with just enough tartness that makes it perfect I had the chicken pot pie later for dinner. Was Perfection. From the crust, to the chicken & veggies, just deelish

Yelp
Great pies, love the small size options! Everything we tried was delicious! Love that it is open evenings. Great old town location.

Yelp
**Experience with a young child** Clean, friendly and delicious pies! Anything else I need to add?! My young son and I like to check out dessert spots together and this one has been on our list for a while. We came here during the week and it was very empty, but I can imagine it can get crowded on a weekend. We picked out two pies: the mini banana split and the chocolate chip cookie with a side of vanilla ice cream. We also had a chance to try their sampler (forgot which flavor it was). The store associate brought out our treats to the table. He was very friendly and communicated with my son kindly. My son really liked the banana split pie, especially the cherry! The chocolate chip was delicious but VERY sweet so we needed a drink. He wanted chocolate milk, and the store associate was kind enough to make it for us despite not having it on their menu. Very thoughtful! I will make note that the pies are fairly pricey ($8.50 for one) but it really was good! Definitely a treat. It sounds like they'll be releasing their spring menu soon, so we look forward to trying their Strawberry Shortcake! My son really liked this place and we'll be back!

Yelp
Came across this cute little pie shop while grabbing pizza at Prince St. We ordered the Dutch Apple and the Pulled Pork pies. I felt a bit pressured to order quickly because the cashiers were kind of staring. Maybe some people see it as being attentive but not me. I just gave them the benefit of the doubt because we did go in 30 minutes before closing so I'm sure they were antsy to close up. We received our pies & I was more excited for the Dutch Apple but found it underwhelming. The filling was decent but the crust left a lot to be desired. The pulled pork was actually very delicious. Not sure I'd come back here again. The reviews are good so maybe I'll give it another shot at a different time of day.

Yelp
I was happily greeted when entering which was nice and the person who helped me was very friendly! My mini pie order: 2-Banana Cream Salted Carmel: my favorite! All the flavors complimented each other. Friendly suggestion to baker, maybe add a cute little swirl of carmel on top of whipped cream ;) 1-Key Lime: very yummy! The graham cracker crust is sooo delicious! It was giving beach vacation in my mouth :) 1-Chocolate Peanut Butter: very disappointing. I didn't care for it at all. Too much going on with the taste & textures. It was lacking the taste of a true peanut butter cup. The only part I enjoyed was the graham cracker crust, it's the same as the key lime! Total for my 4 mini pies= $33.49 Receive a $1-off when you buy 4 Grand total w/discount= $32.49 Personally, I think these mini pies were over priced. I know everything is expensive, but $8.50 for a micro mini pie. I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon. However, I am glad I finally was able to try them.

Yelp
Love that they have so much variety and sizes so you don't have to commit to a whole pie. Two words though: pice cream Yes pie ice cream aka a sundae with a warm pie and drizzle. You would miss it if you didn't look carefully on the menu!

The pies here are wonderful! By they way, they only sell mini-pies, but that's okay, because each pie is amazingly filling. I got stuffed after eating 2 mini pies. Also note: on your credit card this business is considered a restaurant, not a bakery. It is a little expensive. It cost me $15.74 for both mini-pies. It's so worth it. If you love pies, you must come to this place.

Yelp
We had the cookie butter and lemon ice box pies, and both were DELICIOUS, however, it's very expensive for the size of the pies... We also had a kind of strange experience.. we walked in on a Saturday evening and it was dead quiet inside. And while we were deciding what we wanted to get, the two employees were staring at us the entire time. It isn't a dealbreaker, it just gave us a weird vibe.

Yelp
I usually don't do this, but I have to leave a review. I just had the greatest customer service experience. The pieologist was named Sam, and she rocked it. She was very informative and told me about all the options. I have allergies and she was so patient and handled me with care. I'll be back. Also, she made the best "Pie-ICE" pictures below. This has left a lasting impression. I will tell all Pasadena patrons to stop by!

Yelp
I really want to give I like Pie that four-star rating it deserves...but...a few things simply didn't hit the mark for me. First is first--the prices. I'm not cheap. At all. I frequent many bakeries where the desserts and coffee total more than $20, and that's fine with me. That noted, I expect the quality to match the price... Shepard's Pie: It was subpar. I loved the cheddar-infused, doughy crust. The filling, on the other hand...the ground beef didn't taste anymore spectacular than other Shepard's Pies I've had at LA pubs. The tomato gravy didn't necessarily compliment the pie, either. Additionally, it was served lukewarm bordering on cold. My recommendation--ten more seconds in the oven. Salted Caramel Banana Cream: Look, I know these are mini pies, but for nearly $9 a piece, a few slices of banana would have been appreciated. The caramel is an afterthought buried beneath a mostly banana cream filling topped with whipped cream. Short -lived disappointment. The Cinnamon Roll Hand Pie: Now we're talking! I am still fantasizing about this delectable hand pie as I type this review. Generous amounts of cream cheese filling, scrumptious, flaky crust, and those vanilla and cinnamon sugar glazings--I could easily eat two in one sitting with no regrets, and considering my thoughts on the other two pies, maybe I should have. The coffee: decent. No complaints there. At $49 for two Shepard's Pies, a mini pie, a hand pie, and a small coffee, my expectations were less than met. I'll return for one final rendezvous with the dessert case and to try the other two savory pies. I hope the second time's the charm here considering my initial experience.

Yelp
Deadass didn't know what to do with the day. My mother and I just got back from seeing the Huntington library and having dim sum and we were both really craving pie and I did not expect a place called I Like Pie to be the best pie shop in town but here we are. Great way for us to end our little date. Bought more pie for my brother and father haha Y'all are the best. Having the crust for the s'mores pie taste like graham crackers is the best decision!! Would come back again

Yelp
So many pie flavors!! Makes it hard to decide - but that's a good problem to have lol. We struggled to choose between the Cookie Butter, Pineapple Upside Down, Banana Split, Coconut Cream, or Dutch Apple (and so many more). We ultimately went with a Coconut Cream Pie and a Dutch Apple Pie and both were just fantastic! All their pies are either small, single serve pies (as opposed to slices) or they also have mini pies that are like 1-2 bites big. But one of their small pies is definitely big enough for one person. The Coconut Cream Pie had such a lovely flavor - just the right amount of sweetness and coconut filling and the thickness of the crust was flawless - light and flaky too - and topped with a delicious cream. I've found that some coconut cream pies have an odd aftertaste that I don't like but not this one! So good! The Dutch Apple was just as good - nice apple pieces and not overly sweet. They offer take home and bake pies, ice cream, and coffee drinks. They also have a select few savory pies like Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Pot Pie. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Inside is pretty sparse and minimalist but in a good location in Old Town Pasadena. Parking is metered street parking but fills up fast - I recommend the Green St parking garage right across the street. It's convenient and is only $1 for the first 2 hours. I definitely want to come back for that Cookie Butter and Banana Split - or maybe the Pineapple Upside Down?? Arrgghh I want one of each haha!

Yelp
This is a small, artisan dessert shop in Old Town Pasadena, where parking is hard and foot traffic is heavy. Service is friendly. They offer mini single person pies and hand pies (like dessert empanadas). Was headed to a ramen joint next door when I passed this dessert shop I had never noticed. Decided to go in and grab a couple of items to try. Anyway, I got a mixed berry hand pocket pie, which was okay. Also got a key lime and a mixed berry of the mini, single-person pies. They were both okay without blowing me away in any way, shape, or form. From other reviews, you can see others are way more impressed than I was, so keep that in mind. I think they were okay without being great. I sadly cannot recommend, with all the great dessert places around Los Angeles and even the Pasadena area, and I doubt I'd go back. However, if you need something sweet, I suppose you surely could do worse.

Yelp
1/7/23 As luck would have it, a few steps from our failed attempt to secure Iron Gall ink at Blick, is my bookmarked spot! I walked in & gazed longingly at their array of sweet seductions....looked up & saw these two handsome guys at the counter. I happily said, "I like Pie!" They both smiled. Without much hesitation I picked Banana Cream & Banana Spilt pies, and hubby quickly asked, "what about pumpkin pie?" His heart sank as one of the pie men said they had just switched over for the season & it's only during Thanksgiving. Oh well....will enjoy these for now. I'll let you know when I taste them!

Yelp
YUUUUMMMMMYYY! Such cute pies! Savory and sweet! So many flavor selections! Inside has tables to sit and enjoy! The have a freezer with take home pies and ice cream. We got the mini banana cream and the regular sized mixed winter berries. The minis are bite sized! Flavors are so on point! I can't wait to go back and try the shepherd's pie and the chicken pot pie! They change flavors by the season. The service was ok. The prices are up there. But what prices aren't these days? I mean, I get it.
