I Salotti ristorante

Had booked Salotti and learned upon arrival that my reservation had been changed to their Taverna. Drove two hours to learn that and was incredibly disappointed about this unacceptable change.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Tuscany. The food and service were absolute perfection. Our server were extremely attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. The food is comparable to many 2 star restaurants we have visited. The lamb chop we had were hands done the best. Would recommend to all our friends and families.

I recently (April 2014) got married at Il Patriarca and I strongly recommend the hotel and its two restaurants. I was quite skeptical of the outcome--there were so many details, people, and decisions all while thousands of miles away and never having visited the hotel or met the staff. My fears amounted to nothing because of Gianluigi and his staff; they went above and beyond phenomenal. When we first got to the hotel, we received the suite, which is a beautiful hotel room with three windows stretching from floor to (almost) ceiling, two large closets, flat screen TV, and surround sound (just to name a few). Gianluigi asked which of the family members should receive the junior suite, an extremely thoughtful gesture, and also placed our guests all in the same hallway. Throughout the five days, the staff was accommodating, friendly and some even treated us as their own family members. One of our guests had to leave extremely early to go to Rome, and one of the front desk staff saw him leaving. She insisted on getting him coffee even though the kitchen was not open yet for breakfast. This is just one of the numerous instances where Il Patriarca's staff went out of their way for our group...we couldn't have been treated nicer. As for a bride looking for a wedding location, I do not think I could have picked a more beautiful location for my wedding. The rolling Tuscan hills in the back of the Villa provide an amazing backdrop to your wedding photos. Gianluigi did not look over a single detail: our flower arrangements of orchids were beautiful, my dress was pressed the morning of, the gardens were perfectly manicured, the gazebo was decorated with hanging hearts and roses, and the officiant was professional and well-prepared. Our reception table was nothing short of breath-taking. The Michelin Star restaurant--I Salotti--was fabulous; the guests truly enjoyed every course. It seems a daunting task to plan a wedding in Italy while you live in America or a different country; however, Il Patriarca made it so easy and I highly recommend the Villa. In addition to how fabulous Il Patriarca is, it is also located across the street from a bowling alley, movie theater, recreation game room, and bar. A quarter mile away, there is a super market and mall with numerous stores varying from clothes to technology. We loved going to the bowling alley at night or hanging out and playing pool in the arcade. This made Il Patriarca a great place for our grandparents who wanted the slow, quite life of southern Tuscany, and it gave the younger crowd lots to do at night. To conclude this extremely long winded review--Il Patriarca is for EVERYONE--and it was by far the highlight of our Italy trip.

We stayed in Il Patriarca during our Tuscany wedding in Monticchiello- the hotel is really excellent: - Very clean and comfortable rooms - Air conditioning - Nice outdoor facility including an fantastic infinity pool - Very good position to visit Tuscany - Excellent restaurants: Very good and typical tuscany food in La Taverna del Patriarca and excellent and outstanding food and catering from I Salotti. I have to compliment Gianlugi, Claudia, Luigi and all the other employees of Il Patriarca- you made our wedding and our holiday really special and unforgettable. Thank you for your kindness and the great service around our whole stay! Il Patriarca is an insider tipp. I will definitely come back and I recommend Il Patriarca to all other guests.

Better than the other one Michelin star restaurants I’ve been too, particularly on the service front. Old school Italian charm and generous menu. Would definitely pay another visit if in the area.

Proposta di vini sterminata e intrigante proposta di pani preparati da loro. Progressione dei sapori ottimale, con lode per il maialino - carne di loro produzione - e per i dolci. Davvero un pasto memorabile. Complimenti.

Bellissima esperienza. Cibo molto buono. Personale qualificato e attento ad ogni esigenza. L'ambiente è calmo e la musica e volume adatti alla serata. Facilmente raggiungibile in auto. Consiglio il posto per un esperienza fuori dal comune.
