"Hidden in the basement of the old city law courts and jail is this friendly, long-standing restaurant with a vaulted ceiling, colourful Moorish tiles and ornate fretwork. Mediterranean and Asian influenced dishes are listed under ‘snacks, charcuterie & cheese', 'tapas' and ‘desserts’, with 4 dishes per person being about the right amount. The ‘express’ menu represents great value." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely Fab. Our server Shel looked after us really well from the moment we arrived to our final departure. Every single dish was beautifully executed and packed with flavour. P.S. the Coffee Cabana cocktails are stunning, if you like Espresso Martinis you must get one of these!

First visit back here since 2013 and glad to see it's still doing excellent food. Went for the express menu offer and added a few extra dishes, it was excellent value for money. Loved the Spanish cheese plate, delicious bread and olives, the mackerel with hash brown was probably my favourite tapas plate, also loved the braised Rabbit empanadas. Excellent choice of wine at a decent price too. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, can't wait to return

The express dining menu for about £19 pp with bread and two tapas was lovely. The surcharge for a few tapas dishes of £2.50 was worth it. The ham croquette was divine, cheesy and ham, very delicious. The high standards of the food here were impressive. Although personally, not a big fan of the chicken, as they were a little dry, but the fish was amazing.

Wonderful food. Wonderful wine. Best mushrooms we’ve ever had. Shame the flavour was so similar to another dish we had (inside out chicken). There didn’t seem much on the menu to freshen up the dishes, and they had run out of prawns (my favourite)… something fresh or citrusy would have made it perfect.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner here! After visiting Iberico several times before we'd been wanting to come here for ages after hearing good things.. and the wait didn't disappoint! Really refined, tasty tapas. Extremely well priced! Great wine to pair. Felt very lucky to receive a complimentary drink too for my birthday! Lovely vegetarian options, we all had all bar one dish vegetarian between us.

Enjoyed the experience as a whole, just felt let down by the sea food dishes as the octopus tasted bland and over cooked somewhat, the prawns didn’t have any flavour seemed washed out, the peppers though were one of my favourites along with the lamb which was the highlight definitely.

A really nice place to eat, we sat at the bar by choice and would do so again. The service was great, and we were able to take our time as much as we liked. Very nice.

Yelp
This is so far the best tapas I have ever had in Nottingham. Highly recommended! The menu change's seasonally to make sure all the ingredients are fresh and in season

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend who is a local, and when we arrived here we saw the Michelin Guide sticker at the door so we were 100% sure this was gonna be good! The food did not disappoint, the tapas were delicious, we had the Cod, the tuna carpaccio and two delicious and refreshing cocktails with limoncello and coconut rum and parsley, mint, lime etc. the service was very good and fast. We will definitely come here again!

Yelp
Finally, great food in England! Yay! I've been away for a while and this was my first time tasting the delicious and well thought out menu at Iberico. I wanted to take my sisters out for a special meal and I'm pretty chuffed with myself for discovering this little gem. So let's get down to it. The atmosphere is just what I was hoping for, lively but not packed. Situated in a cave, it's cozy and historic without feeling cold or suffocating. The service was great. The sourdough bread. Wow. Seriously fantastic. The beef was just mouthwatering and the peppers were delicious! The combination of the beetroot with the cashew sauce was yummy. The cod was a little too salty for me, but overall the food was brilliant. Definitely recommend and I will be back!

Yelp
Very nice cozy place, not what you can expect from tapas restaurant. Food is on Michelin levrr we l! Try cod with modernist types of addons like foamy mousse. Free wifi

Yelp
We tried to book online but were told there were no tables available however we went in as we were passing and they had plenty of space! guess they don't want to pay fees to booking sites! The food was good value and quite tasty. This is a tapas fusion of Spanish and Japanese that kind of works. The stand out dishes for is were the inside out chicken wings and the salmon. Other dishes were ok but had better.

Yelp
It's now my favourite restaurant in Derby, if not the country. I consider myself a foodie. Everything that came out of that kitchen was the best it could be. At last something to give Spanish food a good name. Good and bad Spanish food are worlds apart. They are all simple flavours but when they are average I'd give them a 0 because it is simply boring. This place gets a 10 out of 10 for everything. I was dressed a bit riffy mainly because it was an impromptu visit. I felt a little out of place as everyone was dressed quite well, but the staff did all they could to make me feel comfortable. Big big love heart!

Yelp
The food was excellent, having just returned from Burgos I was keen to try out my new tapas knowledge. I wouldn't say this was as authentic as I had hoped for, yet the food was of a great quality. We ate plenty and were pleased with the way it was served as it came. Bring your wallet!

Yelp
Wow such fantastic food in a quirky setting would highly recommend. Staff very friendly and good at what they do. I would recommend the inside out chicken superb dish and also the belly pork.

Yelp
My favourite restaurant. Authentic and unusual tapas in a quirky cellar restaurant underneath the Galleries of Justice with Moorish style tiles and a relaxed atmosphere. The meat and cheese platters (Spanish and world versions) are lovely, the crispy pork belly, the black cod and the triple cooked patatas bravas are star dishes although every dish is a winner. Very good wine menu. Expect to pay £30 - £50 a head for a decent evening meal but it will be worth every penny.

Kevin D.

Yelp
Authentic tapas, better in a group to enable you to order both cheese and meat platters. Attentive service, be prepared to pay £30 to £40 a head incl. wine.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and excellent food. Book in advance. Try the courgette flowers stuffed with goats cheese and honey - they are absolutely amazing.

Yelp
The Iberico is just an outstanding restaurant. The food is really exceptional - the stuffed peppers with goats cheese and honey is one of my favourites, as is the beef with pickled mooli and quails eggs. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, the service is attentive but not intrusive, the decor is unfussy but warm. Even the location is good - rather than being bang in the centre, it's underneath the spooky Galleries of Justice. It's not cheap, but it's not ridiculously pricey either - you can spend as much at a big chain restaurant and not get anything like the quality, or anything so imaginative and different. This is my special treat restaurant in Nottingham.

Yelp
Can't believe I'm only the second one to review this brilliant little tapas restaurant. Forget the big chain tapas bars and get yourself under the Galleries of Justice to enjoy this almost hidden away and unique reataurant. The tapas is superb, imaginative and mouth watering - the service is equally as good as well. As the other reviewer says its not cheap but you will have a memorable and certainly not run of the mill meal. A tip try the poached duck egg on a bed of mushrooms it's to die for.
