Iberostar Bávaro Golf Club

The course is in great condition and the value is hard to beat (I paid $89/round including cart, range and drinks/food from the beverage cart). NOTE: I brought my own clubs, but they do have nice rental sets (Titleist and Taylormade were available). The range was well maintained and had nice targets. The fairways and green were in excellent condition. Pace of play was excellent as well. The staff were friendly and the beverage cart was seen every couple of holes.

The course was in great shape, challenging and not over crowded

Beautiful Golf course great hospitality overall ; however if you rent clubs make sure to pull all clubs out of the bag as our group was falsly accused of breaking a club that was previously broke before we arrived. The course manager argued, and accused us of breaking the club insisting that we sign off on the condition of the clubs. At the beginning of the round we were only asked to sign off on the number of clubs in the bag and not the condition. Given the quality of the resort itself having a manager argued directly with customers is disheartening and we will choose another course for future golf trips.

Beautiful. I rode along but my family golfed. They had a great time. The star island 🏝 was my favorite. It was very unique.

We were a group of four golfers staying at Bahia Principe. Our resort set up our tee time and golf course agreements, which included transportation to and from, green fees for 9 holes, and golf club rentals, all for $105.00 US each. Upon arrival, Stephanie who was working in the pro shop, demanded we pay an additional $50 each for golf club rentals, we explained and showed her the agreement we had from our resort, saying everything was included, she didn't care, she wouldn't even call our resort to assist. We then requested transportation back to our resort, where she demanded we each pay her $10.00 cash for return to our resort. So as a group of four, we had to pay $40.00 US for a 5 minute cab ride back to our resort. Also a father and his two sons who we met in the clubhouse pro shop. Paid $760.00 US for 18 holes. Later that evening we met the father back at our resort, who shared with us that, upon finishing the 10th hole, they were forced to the 17th hole, missing to play the 11th to the 16th holes. The father was told that the course had a tournament previously booked.

Given the rates, golf conditions, and service, Iberostar Bavero Golf Club offers an average golf experience compared to US golf course experiences. I can't compare to other DR courses. I did have higher expectations for the course being at a resort. The course was in good condition, though the 8th hole is the only scenic hole to remember. The service was less than spectacular, for I prepaid for the golf package, but only to find out that the golf club had no record of the prepayment and my tee times were canceled, so I only played one round, and the issue was resolved, so net loss for them. Overall, the course is worth playing if you want to get away from the beach for 5 hours.

We played 3.5 rounds here. Awesome experience. We stayed on the resort so it was quite convenient!

Excellent course 👍 I have to add some comments - the reception charge me twice for the round. At first seems like the transaction didn't go true, so she did second time. When I came back home it's showing 2 charges for 1 round.... and I cannot reach the proshop by the phone from Canada.
