Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma

My wife and I had a wonderful time here during our Honeymoon! We stayed the second week of October 2025 and loved the excellent service, food and accommodations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time and were super helpful answering questions, calling taxi's for us, suggesting restaurants, etc. Lots of people wonder if the water is cold this time of the year and it depends. The pool was chilly but the beach was absolutely fine. Even on rainy days, the hotel was comfortable enough to stay in and pass a cozy night with treats and dessert. We can't not recommend this place enough!! Muchas gracias!!

Is is a 4-star hotel as there is nothing extra in the hotel, like big pool, recreation facilites, etc. Pool area looks nice but when you sitting next to the pool (in September) you feel like you were in oven as the pool area in encircled by the hotel and shops next to the beach. The air is almost not moving. In colder months it could be good but not during hot Septmeber. It is better to go on the beach. |Hotel has nice big rooms with sea view. But what I dislike in that rooms is that when I were in 2018 and 2021 I was in the double room but in 2025 it is a junior suite but the room is the same as it was before. The only diffrence between 2025 and 2021 is a carpet next to the sofa. As far as I know junior suite should have bedroom and lounge, I have not found any lounge in my room. |The food offer during breakfast and dinner is OK.|Last but not least, I have Platinium status in an IHG. I was welcomed during check-in and offered around 13 EUR discount on hotel bill. It was the only perk that I was offered in the hotel. No free upgrade, I was only offered paid upgrade. On the departure day I asked for late check-out at 1 p.m., the receptionist only agreed to check-out at 12 p.m., which is a normal check-out time in most hotels but not in Iberostar, where it is 11 a.m.

This is the third consecutive year that I have returned to Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma Hotel, for a dream summer vacation. This is the best hotel to stay in if you are looking for great comfort, impeccable service and fun. Spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. Excellent, varied breakfast, for most diverse tastes. The swimming pool, with a bar and restaurant nearby, with generous canopies and umbrellas, also offers water activities for different ages. Luxurious lobbies, where the fresh air conditioning exudes aromas of various perfumes and where you are greeted every day with soft drinks and Prosecco. The staff, extremely polite, kind and helpful, but Alina at the reception, most likely, will speak your language and adapt her communication skills to customers of all ages, will accommodate your most unusual requests and will take care of you as if you were her personal guest. The terraces around the hotel add value and offer a variety of entertainment. This is the best hotel for a successful and fun-filled summer vacation.

Excellent hotel, everything was truly great. From really good condition rooms to a lovely relaxing atmosphere. All the staff were so helpful and attentive, especially Jose in the bar and all the buffet restaurant team. We had a lovely sea view family room with plenty of space and housekeeping kept it well tended daily twice a day. I loved the Iberostar app where you could ask questions of reception, book spa sessions and check your invoice. We used both the main pool and rooftop pool, both had different atmospheres but well looked after and service at both was good. There was no mad morning rush for a lounger and plenty tables in the restaurants available. Food was excellent at the buffet restaurant my only watch out would be they charge for table water which I was surprised by but beyond that everything was excellent. The managers were especially attentive and helpful.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful hotel for a week and we opted to upgrade to Star Prestige. The welcome we received was personal with a glass of cava and fruit. There was a slight wait for the room but we were able to use the facilities straight away. However the room was well worth the wait- on the sixth floor with a stunning sea and pool view with a coffee machine, kettle, minibar, amazing monsoon shower and the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever slept in. Housekeeping was exceptional and the standard of cleanliness was excellent so many thanks to the lovely housekeeping ladies. An advantage of star prestige is the use of the rooftop terrace which again has a sense of luxury. For most of the week, a lady called Milena was present and the service received from her was also outstanding. Thankyou for being so attentive.|Breakfast was delicious with vast, delicious choices and again, at the risk of being repetitive, the service was amazing with welcoming and friendly staff. |The beach is accessible through a gate and is immaculately clean. |This is truly a superb hotel and the staff are a credit to it.

So far the service at the hotel has been amazing! The experiences are so unique and thoughtful. Antonella helped me and my daughter make beautiful bracelets. She was so kind and helpful. We loved this and will always remember it. We also made perfume by the pool in the afternoon with Mona Lisa. Aliaz was wonderful and helpful. He was patient and helped us through the whole way! We love it here so far

Although only a stones throw from the airport, after a few hours of travel the Iberostar selection Playa de Palma truly does allow you to relax. Met with a complimentary fruit plate and sparkling wine, we were welcomed warmly and with great hospitality.|Although quite early to check into our rooms, we were told all facilities were available to us and we would be notified as soon as our rooms were ready.|This occurred quite soon after initially checking in and the rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. With pleasant views into the oasis of the pool area and onward to the sea. We also had a ‘sea view’ room which definitely met up to its description, with a wide balcony and unencumbered sea views.|We were half board, evening meals were excellent with a wide choice and great live stations, staff were super friendly and courteous all a credit to Iberostar!|Breakfast too was excellent, wide selection and freshly prepared.|Pool area was perfect, no mad rush for beds, we were slightly out of season but it was never busy. Pool service was great as was the pool bar…again staff were brilliant|Sunset bar had great cocktails at a price point that was cheaper than the numerous bars along the strip.|All in all the Iberostar selection Playa de Palma made for an excellent week away…many thanks.

A great hotel for families, clean spacious rooms, great selection of food with a new theme every night and friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay magical. Excellent location next to the beach and restaurants with entertainment every night in the sunset bar. Antonella and the entertainment team ensured there were new activities day and night to keep adults and children busy and relaxed with wonderful memories to take away with them.

I felt like I just had a first class experience. Definitely one of their premier properties compared to the other Iberostars also in the neighborhood! So many windows and great natural lighting even in the gym. I immediately relaxed upon entry as the front desk serves champagne or infused waters. The room is so spacious with an open bath, private rain shower and double vanity. The balcony has a solid door to block out sound as I imagine in high season the parties on the on the beach could be loud. You don't hear any hallway noise or slamming hall doors which is very common in hotels. One hour per day you can book the Spa Sensation room for free. It has steam sauna, jacuzzi, dry sauna, a thermal shower with 13, yes 13 shower heads, and a stall with an oak bucket up high with a chain. Pull the chain for an immediate ice bath! (You need to shower first before entering, look to your back once you enter the dressing rooms as they are easy to miss) The best part is the breakfast buffet which is bigger than even ones I've enjoyed on a cruise ship. Most importantly the quality is top notch. For example, they have a jam bar, natural honeycomb, bread bar, yogurt bar with an assortment of seed toppings, full tea pot service, caviar, small pancake station, cereal station, omelet station, cheese and meats, salad area, fresh squeezed juices, cut fruit selections, whole fruits for take away, and so much more. It really was top class. Rooms come with robes and slippers which you will need for the daily jacuzzi appointment which you need to make ideally one day before. Towels and linens are all high thread count. most staff speak German and English though an attempt at some Spanish also seems to garner a smile.
