The food was excellent, but the service was disappointing. My server was Amy, and the experience was far from acceptable.
We waited nearly 15 minutes before being greeted and placing my order. After that, it took about 50-60 minutes for 2 simple orders of burgers and fries to arrive. During this time, Amy never once checked on my table. We eventually had to flag down another server to get an update on my order, which was around 30-40 minutes after I initially ordered. At that point, Amy finally came to my table to ask what my order was, clearly indicating she had forgotten to put it in. Even after that, it took another 20 minutes for the food to arrive.
When it came time for the check, We were presented with a bill for $37.49. However, after handing over my card, we noticed we were charged $44.24 instead. Amy had added an 18% gratuity without informing us. When we asked her about the discrepancy, she acted evasive and claimed the gratuity was automatically included. We didn't see any notice of this policy on the menu, walls, or doors. Even if gratuity is automatically added, it should have been reflected on the initial bill, not tacked on after the fact.
The food was great, but the service needs improvement. Transparency and attentiveness go a long way, and unfortunately, both were lacking during this visit.
Subpar service is enough to keep me away. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
