Google
If yall don't know about this black woman owned place... yall SLEEPING! everything I've had from snowballs to food is delicious and made to order. It is a new Orleans version of everything but my god I need this to be closer to where I live because I'd be here everyday. It's affordable and delicious. On this trip I had a monte Cristo sandwich, spicy turkey club sandwich, beignets, lemonade and seasoned home fries. Sandwiches are only Saturdays and Sundays. Snoballs are from February to Thanksgiving! They are open 7 days a week 3pm to I think 10pm... listen yall make your way here and fast! *they also have vegan options*

Google
I will definitely be back I posted on Facebook it wouldn’t let me tag the shop so I sent them the google information. Absolutely spot on with beignets. Just get the 1/2 dozen because you will end up ordering more. 👌

Google
A Baltimore staple! Love their snowballs and they have so many different flavors worth trying. The egg custard is to die for. The covered seating outside is also a plus, and it's close to the park too.

Google
Love love love their snowballs. I travel like 25 min just for it! I love the fact that you can add fruit. Have to order outside so didn’t really star the atmosphere

Google
This was a wonderful experience. I have only known snowballs to be crushed ice with red or blue flavoring. THIS RIGHT HERE is totally better. I tried the Mai Thai flavor and omgeeee was it good. It had lime, pineapples 🍍 and cherries 🍒. You can also get a large variety of toppings like, nerds, whip cream, ice cream, and marshmallows just to name a few. This was a snowball "B" More style 😎

Google
My daughter snowball had a bug in there and they said it flew deep down in her cup! Ask how is that possible when she only got in the car from your establishment! They are very rude and have nasty customer service!

Emily M

Google
This is a must visit when passing through Baltimore. There is a significant variety of traditional sno cone flavors, plus many unique flavors. The flavors are not overly sweet. The portions are generous and the different sizes are reasonably priced. There is a small outdoor seating area.

Google
Visiting my mom in Baltimore and stopped by here and can’t recommend enough!!! The staff is so friendly! Everything was delicious! Be sure to add on a lemonade and beignets!!

Theron M.

Yelp
Love to go to Ice Queens. They have the best snoballs and other delicious treats. They always have a quick moving line. I usually get almond flavored snowball. But they also have beignets. You can also get ice cream and dessert such as peach cobbler. You should check them out. Also look for their popups. Www.icequeensllc.org

Yelp
Female owned! Drove up from DC to try this place and 100/10 will be doing it again. There was a nice crowd for a Saturday at 2:30pm but we didn't wait long. The owner came out to say hi to us and was very friendly. We tried the strawberry shortcake ice + ice cream blend and it was perfect. Great balance of flavor and texture. We also got an order of beignets and those did not disappoint either. Can't wait to go back!

Alex J.

Yelp
Service here was so wonderful! The woman as the window was so sweet! Love the energy here and the decor too, it creates a very honey and vibrant ambiance. We got the berry lemonade in the size princess, and oh my gosh it was insanely refreshing! Prices are more than fair here and we inhaled the shaved ice. Definitely one of the best shaved ice places I've ever been to! We will be back:) Bring your friends, bring your family, this place is a must visit!

Swapna Y.

Yelp
I went here on a Sunday around 3:30 and there was a small crowd. We were able to get our items quickly after we ordered though it took a little while to order. There is a window that you order from and there is one cashier to take the order. The customer service was great. I was able to try the ice cone flavors. There were so many flavors and combination of flavors to choose from. They also had other treats like benigets, brownies, and cakes. They had Takhara brothers ice cream and I'm a huge fan of their ice cream, so I was excited to get the key lime, but it head run out. The clerk offered me other options and told me about the mango, guava, pineapple ice topped with fruit, so I decided to try it. I am so glad that I did. It was really flavorful and refreshing. There was cute outdoor seating that was well maintained. I will most definitely come back here.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
We were in the area and realized it was national ice cream day. Yelped ice cream and this spot came up. So glad we stopped by. The staff were kind and answered our questions when we asked about the different flavors. I am also glad they suggested trying the beignets - the cams out freshly made and were delicious. We will definitely come back. Love supporting family owned business.

Ashley Y.

Yelp
WOW!! This is the best snowball I've ever had! Other places I had snowball, it's like you're just eating ice and syrup. But, this place.. you can actually taste and enjoy the snowball. I really enjoyed my Strawberry My Strawberry - strawberry ice cream and strawberry snowball with fresh strawberries. My husband got the Orange creamsicle and that flavoring was on the much sweeter side. We thought the Cream would be vanilla ice cream or just vanilla taste but it was marshmallow taste so they threw us off. Overall, would come back and recommend. Prices aren't bad either.

Lysonia P.

Yelp
Great customer service at their walk up window to order your snowballs, ice cream or beignets. The snow balls were great. I'll try New orleans style next time. We ordered egg custard with marshmallow, cotton candy and peach snowballs. The beignets are cooked hot and fresh to order and they tasted great. It's a fun friendly atmosphere to sit outside of the establishment.

Olakunle O.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! There are so many flavors and combinations to try that you'll never get bored. I'm partial to mango/blood orange but everything is great here. I learned from the owner that they specialize in Baltimore snow cones with a New Orleans twist. It's also a Black woman owned shop, so that's another plus. I will be back!

Hannah H.

Yelp
Ice Queens - I'm a huge fan!!! This black- and woman-owned New Orleans-style snoball business deserves all the hype, the love, and your stomach space! We came here after having a meal in the area, and it was such a nice treat to have in the sweltering summer heat! The syrups that they use are not the typical overly syrupy sweetness that you get from other places/trucks - they also seem generous with the amount, because you're not just chomping on sno that's naked! The flavors are so yummy, and bonus points that they are aesthetically pleasing! The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, and they are more than happy to make recommendations or explain some of their flavor combos. There are a couple of bistro tables outside to enjoy your treat, or you can get it to go. Note that currently, it seems to be just a walk-up only! Parking can be found in the residential area. Check this place out - you won't be disappointed! +delicious snoballs! +friendly staff! +residential street parking available

Yelp
So after this place being featured on Yelp for women's history month and someone singing me this location I felt like the first day it was 80 degrees would be the perfect day for me to stop by. They are right on the corner and right across the street from a park also. Everyone was very inviting and had no problem answering all of my questions (I tend to have a lot) lol. This was my first time trying snowballs! As a new Baltimore resident I feel like I had to as a right of passage. I got a small blood orange one with marshmallow topping. There were a few patio chairs and tables for people to enjoy. I would have liked for there to be more and more comfortable furniture for us. Overall everything was really good and refreshing! I also got the fried donuts (drawing a blank on how to spell lol) they were super fresh! Definitely going back and bringing my pup on a hot day !

Tola O.

Yelp
I came here for beignets and they were BANGIN'. That's it. That's the post. I'll be back!

Lori B.

Yelp
Left the Yelp event and came at the suggestion of a fellow veteran Yelper! Island Breeze and beignets 10 out of 10, highly recommended!! Those pillowy soft beignets were heaven. And the flavor of that snowball was a party in my mouth!! No long wait!! I'll be back!!

Lennea B.

Yelp
Perfect! Great selection of snowballs and treats .... Very cute service fast and friendly Park on the street and walk over.. Seating available outside. Great photo ops.

Sonna T.

Yelp
Still bussing (as the kids would say). I got the berry lemonade and my son got the peaches & cream. Super tasty and only a small line on hot Sunday. The wait was only about 5-7 min with 4 people ahead of me. The staff is friendly and they really appreciate tips. I love the neighborhood and the nearby park. It's perfect for a New Orleans snowball & leisure stroll in the park. The prices are a little higher than I wanted but the flavor, customer service, and vibes are worth it. Parking is a little tight unless you park across the street at the park. I would also recommend ordering at the walk-up window and bringing the kiddos/dogs too. #blackowned

Kabir A.

Yelp
Expect a line. Get on it. Wait, don't get off. Expect many options, choose any of them-you'll either like it or love it. We had banana Foster and Guava w/strawberry topping - STR8 CRACK!

Rose P.

Yelp
I got the strawberry shortcake snow coke. There was whip cream on top not marshmallow which I haven't seen before!! It was delicious with fresh strawberries. The business is so cute with chalk drawings and outdoor seating. The woman working was super nice and gave us her recommendations. I will 100% be coming here again, classic in Baltimore.

Daniela E.

Yelp
How adorable?! Okay, I loveee snow cones.. it's just something about them but this place takes it up a level. With all the different flavors and specialities we walked up and had no idea what we would ordered... so it took us a little bit. However, the lady taking our order was really nice & patient. She saw our dog and immediately asked if we would like a doggy snow cone. She explained that it was made with bone broth and topped with dog treats, which we thought was sooo cute! Next, we ordered ours and you can literally add toppings, ice cream to it.. whatever you want. I asked if they had anything close to fruit punch has I didn't see it on the menu & she told me they actually had fruit punch which wasn't on the menu. So just tell them what you have in mind & they may have it! While we were waiting for ours multiple people came up and ordered things that weren't even on the menu but looked amazing.. Someone ordered the Strawberry Shortcake (it had real strawberries, whipped cream, ice cream and snow cone in it) so we will definitely get that next time around. Overall, great experience. Great prices and a nice outing!

Amy J.

Yelp
If you're looking for a snowball, Ice Queens is the place to go. They're locally owned and they have a huge selection to satisfy those with dietary restrictions. Vegan? Check. Sugar free? Check. I have never heard of snowballs until my local friend had mentioned them so of course, when I was in the area, my friend and I decided to try this place. I went with a sugar free watermelon, my friend tried the chocolate strawberry and fresh lemonade. They also have snowballs for dogs. We just got a plain one for my friend's dog. They also celebrate tips when you leave them. They have a fun atmosphere and the people that work them seem to really enjoy their job. I really liked this place and will happily support it the next time I'm in Charm City.

Tiffany J.

Yelp
Ice Queens is everything you want in a local snow cone/ice cream/ treat shop! My son loves it here, I also take my family when they come in town! Great place, great service!

Kenyetta C.

Yelp
I have been here a few times... Definitely a good spot for snowballs. I like how they have more toppings and creations to choose from than other spots. I would definitely like to go back to get more of the creations they've made. I can only try one at a time, lol. There is street parking but I've never had an issue with finding close parking.

Camille R.

Yelp
African American and woman owned!!! Need I say more. They offer lots of selections between coffee drinks, beignets, Italian ice and sugar free. They have something for everyone including being pet friendly and lots of cute seating and ground and wall decor for great picture taking moments. There is also a park across the street that offers more shaded benches. We were greeted with a smile and asked if this was our first visit. They give a cute shoutout if it is as well as if you offer a tip! The Italian ice comes in a variety of sizes and options for adding fresh fruit. The beignets melted in your mouth and come two in an order. If you are in the area, come by as you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Last spring and summer, it seems like errrbody and they mama was at Ice Queens except me! I had every intention of visiting but it just never happened. Lo and behold, my opportunity came. Ice Queens decided to do an open house and open up for a few days to give everyone a little preview of what's to come. They kept it simple and only sold snowballs with limited toppings. When I arrived, parking was atrocious and the line was long. I circled the area for a bit and almost gave up until I decided to go across the street by the park and found a parking spot there. I waited my turn and placed my order at the window. I went with the piña colada with old fashioned cream. Then I waited near the door for an employee to bring out my order. I sat in my car and enjoyed my treat. It was so good and the cream added a nice, creamy element to the ice that I liked. The open house is only going on until March 12th. They officially open for the season on my birthday, April 1st, so I know where I'll be going to celebrate. I can't wait until they fully open because I want to try the specialty snowballs with all the different toppings, such as the strawberry shortcake that I saw on social media. I see why this place is poppin on warm-weather days and I can't wait to return! This is one of those places you go "where everybody knows your name" because the staff definitely knew their repeat customers by name.

Ky T.

Yelp
Speaking of STELLAR black owned businesses of Baltimore, @_icequeens IS worth the hype, Yelp Loveys!!! We're P.G. County natives (but he manages to tolerate my screaming Raven's nation all football season long, LOL) and I'm not sure Snow cone / Snowball spots are as wide spread on our side of town as they are in Baltimore & the cities surrounding Baltimore, so I would not call myself a Snowballs Matter Expert, LOLOLOLOL. I HAVE had a few different places' egg custard with & w/out the marshmallows amongst some snowball connoisseurs though... so I know a liiiiittle somethin' somethin'. Ice Queens is REALLY something to check out and go out of your way for, Yelp Loveys! Pack up the family... maybe bring a couple lawn chairs... and spend the next 70 degree or over sunny afternoon enjoying live music and one of the tastiest frozen delights you can find in the city. The extensive selection of choices alone is worth checking out and we sampled ALOT that we LOVED ALL of!!!! I know they are seasonal, so I recommend following @_icequeens on IG to keep up with when you can visit. Be sure to check the weather and wear comfortable shoes when preparing to visit because there will be a wait to order, but the wait will undoubtably be worth it aaaaaannnddd you can even even bring your pups! Parking will be a little annoying to find / maneuver but once again, THIS is a VERY good thing that your mouth, spirit & soul will let you know is sooooo goood, once it hits your lips. This was one of the best impromptu date stops of my Pandemic 2020 and I'm bringing my entire family back next Spring.

Minnie J.

Yelp
Picture this - it's a sunny Saturday morning and you're just wrapping up a gorgeous run around Ft. McHenry. You're feeling a little dehydrated and need something to quench your thirst. Alternatively - you woke up hungover at 1 and you need a PICK ME UP Either way, Ice Queens is your answer!! This local snow cone shop has every flavor you could imagine including some specialty flavors and lots of toppings. I had a strawberry lemonade snow cone and it was drenched in syrup-y goodness / topped with fresh strawberries. The staff are so friendly and brought us some yummy sample snow cone flavors to try. Make this your new summer staple! I SCREAM FOR ICE QUEENS !!

Auna C.

Yelp
Thank you, thank you, thank you Ice Queens for coming through with the pop-up on the random 70+ degree day on 2/23/22 in Baltimore! Coming to Locus Point and seeing Ice Queens open was a pleasantly welcomed surprise. Therefore, of course we had to support. It was also lovely to see Melanie and Dasia (owners) serving at the window. These beautiful women are so professional and sweet. Please support this black owned woman business. They even have a snowball truck that will pull-up to your private events-BOOK THEM! Cheers to a great time!

Ariel C.

Yelp
Love that they're a vegan friendly establishment! I'm not vegan, but nice touch. I've heard nothing but good things about this place since they've been open, so I was glad to finally be able to get down there and support. Great flavors and toppings (I'd never done that before!) Hope they expand eventually! Will be back

Angel H.

Yelp
I have been wanting to coming here for the longest and finally I made it here! Every time I've been by there the lines were extremely long and I couldn't stay. I came here during the weekday and no one was in line. I had to get my usual, Baltimore's favorite egg custard and vanilla. I asked the young lady what else is a top seller and she recommended the old fashioned. Both were delicious and the shaved ice was perfect! I can't wait to go back to try something new.

Dominique T.

Yelp
First time at ice queens this season and I am so shocked that I haven't reviewed them before. Came around 11am on a Sunday and this is the first time I noticed the new tables and chairs and I am obsessed. Me and the family sat outside under the shady of the umbrella and ate our beignets and snowballs. This is my first time trying the beignets and MY GOODNESS... vegan perfection. I am still shocked they pack that much flavor into a little pocket of dough. The snowballs were great as well. I had the strawberry shortcake with cream and I will be back soon for another flavor and more beignets!!! Thanks ice queens

Renee B.

Yelp
Line was pretty short compared to how it can be. I really enjoyed my watermelon margarita snowball. It was delicious. Service was friendly. You must have a little patience in waiting to get your order but, worth the wait.

Sydni R.

Yelp
Need a ice cold refreshing treat? This is your place. I've visited the establishment twice and both times have been amazing. They have an extensive menu which can be a bit overwhelming for me because I then want to try everything lol But the staff there are very helpful and can provide you with done recommendations. Now I am not a native of Maryland, so I was a little hesitant about the custard being on top, but to my surprise it goes really well with the snowball/cone. Due to covid they're not letting any customer dine it, but they do have some outdoor seating and across the street is a park with some benches where you can sit and enjoy your delicious treat. Oh and their DJ is amazing! If you're into NoLa bounce music you'll definitely have an amazing time. Will definitely be back once the weather warms up again.

Greg S.

Yelp
Well I can tell you from being on this earth long enough to have seen the first on air episode of full house and punky bruster. Baltimore is not the best place for snowballs. Snowballs are all about the ice. This is what separates the big boys from the kiddie stands. I happy to say the Ice Queens is thee best snowballs in Baltimore city( fight me). No other place comes close to the smoothness of the ice and the flavor. You don't have to ask for extra syrup/flavor because there is already enough. I purchased a blood orange Queens way (ice dream at the bottom) it was pretty good. I'm really picky about flavors but I will try some more. I'm just happy that I don't have to drive all the way to Randallstown to get a decent snowball. I have been to just about every stand in the city and I'm Sorry but with the exception of this one they are horrible. I am very happy with the place. This is the first of many visits to come.

Moss W.

Yelp
Perfectly pleasant. There was a bit of a wait but I'd say it was worth it. It definitely added to my experience while watching the fireworks on the fourth. If given the opportunity I definitely will get again.

Camly T.

Yelp
I have to disclose I am a native New Orleanian, and I don't think these are the same as snowballs in New Orleans. It doesn't mean they are bad and I only went one time, so I would like to go again for a second opinion. otherwise, it is still a lovely place to get a cool treat in the hot weather. There is also a few options for outside seating if you want to enjoy your snowball there. They had a window counter to order and they will bring out your snowball. They also had lines on the sidewalks to mark social distance which I appreciated.

Miss Kitty T.

Yelp
Great service, food, and atmosphere!! You will love everything they have to offer!! We had a great time meeting and chatting with the owners who were genuinely friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!! It's well worth the drive from Laurel!

Dee D.

Yelp
I am not a big fan of sweets, so I knew this would have me on a full sugar rush for hours. The line was long (it was in the alley) but it moved very quickly. There is a menu on the wall. Also a scan on the wall so that you can see the menu on your phone. A plus. The menu has speciality snowballs and make your own. I opted for the speciality. The strawberries were fresh cut up and just the right amount in with the ice and whipped cream, you can add ice cream also. I added ice cream and it's a pleasant surprise in the middle. I would definitely return to this place. Thanks Ice Queens

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Long lines during the summer but if you go in the middle of the afternoon there are often no lines. They have a combination of flavors or you can create your own. The Queens Way, is ice cream on the bottom, your flavor of ice, then marshmallow topping. Yum yum yum! Definitely check them out in Locust Point!

Peter L.

Yelp
We had breakfast sandwiches, beignets, and snowballs. The mango Snowball was particularly delicious, but everything was very good. The best part was the spectacular service. Would definitely recommend, and will be going back

K C.

Yelp
Heard about this place on social media and decided to stop by this summer. Parking is a little difficult in this area but I was able to find a spot on the same block. The line had about 10 or so people in it when I walked up. The order line went by pretty quickly and only had to wait a few minutes for someone to bring out my order. I liked that they had different toppings and flavors compared to some other snowball stands. I plan to return next summer

John B.

Yelp
I finally made it! I drove passed this place plenty of times and kept going because the line was always soooo long. So when we saw that it was only 2 customers in line I had to pull over with the quickness! One of the worst things that can happen is wanting a snowball, finally getting one and being disappointed. Fortunately that was not the case! The snowball hit the spot. They have a good selection to choose from but it wasn't an overwhelming amount. For a family of 5 it can get expensive. Next time we leaving the kids.

Kendoll C.

Yelp
Ice Queens has quite the Baltimore Foodie Instagram presence; seeing post after post of delicious looking snowballs, learning about their black owned business, entrepreneur culture, and seeing all they do for their community I just had to try them out. Easy parking, off the side street by the park, we lucked out timing wise & arrived when there was no line. This was fantastic, as it gave me the chance to ask the staff loads of questions about what was in each specialty snowball-I wish they had the combinations posted on the menu. I went with the pina colada supreme & my husband the bananas foster specialty. The syrup flavoring on the snowball was quite delicious, but admittedly I wasn't super impressed with the quality of the entire item. They keep it simple and have limited toppings, even in their 'supreme & specialty' cups. The snowball itself melted really quickly (I think it was the warm cream they used not really an outdoor heat factor) and so the paper cup the snowball was in became sticky and leaky. Overall, I'm glad I tried them. I liked the flavor combinations. I liked the friendly staff. I love their story & their community culture. But, I do think there are better snowball places in the area that offer larger, more topping filled snowballs at a lower price, so I'll stick to those as my go-to. Definitely recommend checking them out as part of a Baltimore Snowball Experience!

Ashley C.

Yelp
The snowballs are really good. I went twice while visiting Baltimore. The second time was great, the first time I was actually a little blown because the lady asked if I would like to leave a tip aggressively at least 2-3 times. Which I didn't mind. I just didn't appreciate the way she was rudely asking. It really blew my high. Not to mention the second time that I went they didn't ask about a tip at all so that was a little strange to me.

Tiffanie M.

Yelp
A great twist on a Baltimore favorite. Be prepared to wait in line, but the line moves fast. Great location, outside seating.

Ciara C.

Yelp
Our first time at Ice Queens was on a pretty warm day. There was a bit of a line, but that told me it was worth it. Prices were very reasonable, but these flavors were BOMB. I got the Pina colada, which is the best combo of flavors I've had in a snowball and my boyfriend got the green peach tea snowball. Mine was better of course. Staff was very friendly and their system for delivering after people ordered was great. I loved the atmosphere of this place and I'll definitely be back. I don't know what they do to keep their ice intact, but I was very happy my snowball didn't immediately melt after sitting outside and eating it. I still had big ice chunks at the end and I loved it.

Chris B.

Yelp
Love this place, I've recommended soooo many people and they love it as well. It's a place where while standing in line you make friends with other patrons. Bring your family and dog too!

Shay F.

Yelp
Where do I start? I'm a southern girl so I was in pure heaven when I found this place. Each of us enjoyed our selections and picked the version with ice cream at the bottom and cream on top. The medium size was more than enough for me. The cashier was nice, friendly and patient when we asked a lot of questions regarding the flavors and combinations. They also offer vegan options. I'll definitely go back.

Tiffani M.

Yelp
Me and my daughters just visited this spot.. we live in NE Baltimore and made the drive through the harbor and around the block to get here. My mom and grandparents are from New Orleans and I know what a wedding cake w/sweetened condensed milk tastes like! These snowballs were probably the closest I've found in Maryland. The beignets are good, but a different texture than what's found in NOLA, more dense. We enjoyed our treats. I got the margarita w/ condensed cream, my oldest got the wedding cake and condensed cream, beignets and the little ones got vanilla ice cream with gummy warms. I'll definitely be back to try one of the cobblers or the fruit snowballs. There was a line outside, but it moved quickly. The young lady who took my order was really pleasant and the young lady who brought it outside to us was equally as pleasant. I'll be back to try more!!

Barb S.

Yelp
Still worth the drive across town! Even Charlie agrees, their pup cup is a treat after an afternoon at the dog park!

Katie H.

Yelp
They were very friendly but we did not like the snowballs. The syrup flavor was off and there was way too much syrup. The ice cream we got on the bottom of the snowballs was grainy or maybe curdled. Disappointing because we made a special trip due to all of the stellar reviews.

Stephen J.

Yelp
I have never in my life tasted a snow cone this good! The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Mango Tango (vegan), Strawberry Shortcake and Peach Cobbler. The poodle (Cherry) that accompanied my family enjoyed her snow cone as well. I sampled the Peach Cobbler after devouring the Mango Tango. The Peach Cobbler was amazing! I left a tip and was serenaded with a Tip Shout Out which was really cool. The small size was more than sufficient and there are sugar free and vegan options.
