I went during super busy hours but you still get your ice cream super fast. The service is great. You can select from their Pre-Made Menu or Create your own bowl/cones. Plenty of Flavors and toppings to choose from.

Yesterday, my daughter and I decided to treat ourselves to some delicious rolled ice cream at Iceny Rolled Ice Cream on Buford Highway, and it did not disappoint! We tried the Build Your Own and the Arroz con Leche rolled ice cream, and both were absolutely fantastic. The Arroz con Leche flavor was a delightful surprise! It featured a creamy coconut milk ice cream base mixed with warm Thai sticky rice, topped with graham cracker crumbs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a drizzle of condensed milk. The combination was both comforting and indulgent, with just the right amount of sweetness and texture. For the Build Your Own, my daughter chose a basic cream base with Fruity Pebbles, sprinkles, and a generous topping of whipped cream. It was colorful, fun, and absolutely delicious! The ice cream itself was incredibly smooth and creamy, thanks to Iceny’s unique freezing technique that balances the ice crystals and air perfectly. A special shoutout to the young lady who made our ice cream. She was not only talented in crafting these beautiful desserts but also incredibly delightful and welcoming. Her positive energy made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fun and tasty treat, I highly recommend visiting Iceny Rolled Ice Cream. Whether you’re creating your own masterpiece or enjoying one of their signature flavors, you’re in for a sweet and satisfying experience! We will definitely be back for more! 🍦🍫🍓 #RolledIceCream #Iceny #BufordHighwayEats #ArrozConLeche #NewFlavorAlert #icecreamlover #icecreamrolls #thaiicecream

Google
Can’t believe I never ventured in here for all the times I’ve come to the complex it’s in - I’d been missing out on some great and unique ice cream! Had their signature mango stick rice ice cream and it was delicious. Perfect mix of warm (rice) and cold (ice cream). I personally didn’t care for the savory coconut sauce because it was a bit too salty for me but everything else was great. The ambience felt homey and relaxing and the ice cream was made pretty quickly. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other flavors and combinations!

Google
I've been coming to this ice cream shop for more than 5 years now and every time, their flavors are as fresh and delicious as the very first time. Consistency and quality shines through, and it’s clear that the team behind the counter takes great pride in their craft. If you haven’t yet visited this gem, I highly recommend stopping by, you'll become a regular, just like me!

Google
Seriously my favorite dessert spot in Atlanta. The mango sticky rice ice cream is phenomenal and the mangoes always taste so fresh and the sticky rice is warm with condensed milk on top. I go here probably at least once a month!

Google
This ice cream spot is one of the best in ATL! I’ve never had a mix of mango ice cream and white rice before, but it was absolutely amazing. The combination of warm white rice with mango-flavored rolled ice cream just melts in your mouth, creating a unique and delightful taste. The atmosphere was great too, with the owner being super engaged with customers and ensuring his employees seemed happy. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Definitely a must-visit!

Google
What a great trust on traditional ice cream. Its hard to explain so watch the video and you will understand. They put the ingredients together for scrumptious ice cream but it's not yet frozen. Then they pour them out on a frozen plate, smooth it out and then carve out the ice cream and add toppings. Its really ingenious and super yummy to boot. Chose from a dozen preconfigured dishes or make your own. Takes only a few minutes for them to make it and longer for you to enjoy it. Although a little spendy it is well worth it at least once. Maybe even share one on a date. Very enjoyable, very yummy, especially on a hot day. There are a few similar in preparation but they lack in taste.

Google
Lots of great flavors and toppings, whether it's create your own or a pre-made combo. Highly recommend the rolled ice cream w/ mango sticky rice. Perfect combination of sticky rice with sweet fruit and creamy ice cream. Also cool getting to see your ice cream get made/rolled in front of you. During peak times, might be a little difficult to get a seat/table if you want to dine in

Yelp
I remember coming here when the hype of rolled ice cream was new. It's still open and I wasn't disappointed at all! The menu offers many Asian inspired flavors and also your all time favs like apple pie and Nutella. So there is an option for everyone! About $10 a cup enough to share and enough just for a single person. Staff was super helpful and friendly a clean environment and the wait wasn't long at all. Durian sticky rice and mango sticky rice was sooo good and not overly sweet. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
It's a gimmick, but a good one. Pick your mixings and have them laid out and rolled up into some sweet goodness. This place is much like a regular ice-cream parlor. Clean and comfortable. Service is good, with staff offering good suggestions and otherwise, mixing up whatever it is you ordered. You know the drill: frozen "griddles" form the basis for staff to pour, mix, and roll-up each order. But you get to watch your creation come together, which I suppose is part of the gimmick. They've got a menu of pre-arranged goodness, or you can create your own concoctions from the wide variety of bases and mix-ins they have available. If it looks good to you, you will enjoy it.

Yelp
Awesome place, great food, service and ambience - definitely a must do when in ATL and on Buford hwy

Yelp
It's been 5 years since my last review and my opinion about this place has not changed. My favorite is still the mango sticky rice (something about the warm sticky rice with the cold rolled ice cream with mango bits does it for me). It's perfectly sweet and tangy and just so darn good y'all! There was a big group of us but we got our orders quick shortly after ordering. It was a packed house when we got here around 8:30 pm (they close at 9). It's a small space and we did see people enjoying their ice cream outside. Their staff is super friendly. This place is a must!

Yelp
The rolled ice-cream shop is in the plaza so plenty space of parking lot. The shop doesn't have so many seats but lots of people do to-go order, so I never have a seat issue when I come visiting. The menu has a good variety of options, and they have photos to illustrate each options so it's very helpful. They also have seasonal menu which is plus. We had Granny's Apple Pie, S'mores, and Biscoff Cookie Butter and they all taste delicious. The rolled ice-cream making process is always fun to watch. The ice-cream presentation are lovely too. All in all, it's always a good experience whenever I take friends or family here. Highly recommend the place!

Yelp
Kids and husband enjoy this specially rolled ice cream shop with a number of Asian inspired desserts, including mango sticky rice and white rabbit, which is a limited editionStaff is friendly and everything is made in front of you. I like the comfy seating as well. Their most recent limited edition is so beautiful, Mojito (either raspberry which daughter picked or pineapple).

Yelp
ICENY is hands down my favorite rolled ice cream place in Atlanta. I absolutely love the unique signature flavors they offer. My goto is the Mango Sticky Rice! AH-MA-Ziiiing!! It starts with a homemade mango ice cream base topped with warm sticky rice, diced mangos, and velvety sweet coconut sauce. If you're in the Doraville area, this place is a must!

Yelp
I visited ICENY Atlanta on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 8 pm. Personally, I'm not too crazy about rolled ice cream, but if you are, I'd recommend ICENY Atlanta. They have a variety of unique set combinations of rolled ice cream and toppings or you can customize your own, which is nice. We love customizability when it comes to desserts and ice cream. When I was first introduced to ICENY, I was recommended the mango sticky rice and it did not disappoint. Sticky rice and mango is such a classic duo dessert, and putting on top of mango ice cream is a great idea. The coconut sauce really marries the fresh mango with the sticky rice. My only criticism is that it might be over sweet to some palates, especially the Asian folks who typically favor a little more control on the sugar level in their desserts. I can't imagine how sweet the other rolled ice cream flavors are. Overall, a great location for the sweet-toothed folks. I'd only come back for their one and only mango sticky rice.

Yelp
We landed at this spot when the spot next door was closed unexpectedly. There wasn't anything special about this place though rolled ice cream is sort of the same everywhere. After the first time it sort of loses it's excitement. As far as flavor, this was alright. I think it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I got the rose flavored ice cream, and honestly it wasn't the best. I have a feeling though that most of the desserts here leaned on the sweet side, so just know that coming in. Overall, it's okay. I don't see myself coming back here, but if you're in the market for rolled ice cream, ICENY is a choice.

Yelp
Visited Mar 11, 2023. This is my 3rd time here. They serve roll ice cream. Prices here are pretty average like you'll find at any ice cream place, $5+. There are many options to choose from but my favorites are the options with sticky rice. The shop is pretty small and I wish the place was a tad bigger to accommodate for seating but that's a me problem. They can get really busy since it's so good so I grab to-go or come when they aren't busy. Part of coming here is for the experience, the roll ice cream is made right in front of you! It's like going to a hibachi place but for ice cream. There's lots of parking and it's between Mango Mango & Subway off of Buford Hwy, across the street from Sweet Hut. Seriously though if you have had the mango sticky rice as a dessert in Thai restaurants, try it here! It's so good, the cold ice cream and the warm coconut sticky rice combo is amazing. If that's not your thing, no worries, there's other flavors and you can add toppings too!

Yelp
So good! The server was great at making recommendations, and they were spot on. Get the Mango sticky rice; my wife loved it. I had the Thai tea with a biscoff cookie mixed it. You can also custom mix your own. Really was an awesome way to top off lunch.

Yelp
Our new favorite ice cream spot! Creative and delicious with very unique flavor profiles

Yelp
All around Yummy!!! My first experience with rolled ice cream. It was light yummy and delicious! They had many flavor combos to choose from: seasonal, signature, or create your own. Wasn't sure which one to try so I went with the apparently popular Mango Sticky Rice, a flavor that seemed just out the box. Again it was yummy! Definitely want to try more. Next time I'll go more daring... Maybe a seasonal one or maybe create my own and see what my imagination comes up with.

Yelp
ICENY Atlanta are the premium ice creams that are made to order on freezing panels at this parlor, also making sundaes. Mango Sticky Rice is my favorite so far. This is made of Mango ice cream with warm Thai coconut milk infused sticky rice and honey mango, also savory coconut sauce added. The process is unique and starts by pouring ice cream base with your choice of mix-in ingredients on their custom designed metal plate that can get as cold as -15 degrees Fahrenheit. They then use metal paddles to quickly chop and smash the ingredients together and spread it into a thin layer. In just two minutes, the ice cream firms up and it's scraped into chubby rolls, ready to serve. They have a wide selection of other flavors for the ice cream. Here the staff are very friendly and I love watching them making the ice cream, very satisfying and interesting. Price is not too bad for this kind of dessert. They have a rich and diversified menu with a specially curated seasonal menu so you'll never be bored of options, although you'll probably gain an addiction to the mango sticky rice roll that ICE NY is famous for. It is a nice combination of the warm chewy rice that contrasts with the cold freshly made ice cream infused with mango chunks. All of this topped with coconut milk. It makes for a sweet, creamy and slightly savory treat that I highly recommend to you all. Need to check this one out and you definitely do not want to miss it. Their is ample free parking in the front, as it sits in a shopping plaza shared with other businesses.

Yelp
I dropped by ICENY Atlanta. The shop is pretty busy on Saturday 5/27/23 at 1:30p. ICENY is specialize in roll ice cream. Roll ice cream is a sweeten frozen dessert, originated in Thailand. It's made with milk based cream pour on a cold metal plate with a variety other customized topping (such as candy, fruits or nuts) can be added. Then the staff will use a paddle to finely chop and mix all the ingredients together and scrape it into a rolled ice cream. You can either customize and add all the topping yourself or pick one of the preselected menu options. I ordered the local favorite which is the Mango Sticky Rice and seasonal flavor Durian Sticky Rice. They both surprisingly taste very good, you can taste the fresh fruit flavor and the warm sticky chewy texture of the sticky rice, along with rich creamy and hints of saltiness from the coconut milk cream. The combination of all different flavors combined just melted in your mouth. I'm sure there are many option for rolled ice cream out there. But it's hard to find one that incorporates sticky rice and coconut milk as a topping. If you are in the area, highly recommended to try it out. It will definitely satisfy those sweet tooth.

Yelp
They see me rollin', they hatin'...mainly because they don't have a cup of rolled ice cream and truthfully, who can blame them for being mad? ICENY came in hot all the way from Thailand to keep the rolled ice cream craze moving here in Atlanta and they chose the perfect place to do so...the epicenter of all things cultural, Buford Highway! They have been hanging out in the Pinetree Plaza on Buford Highway for about 5 years now. Parking is not an issue as Pinetree Plaza is quite large, so while you may not get a spot right in front, you will certainly find one here. Truthfully, ICENY was my first venture into rolled ice cream via a Yelp event back in 2016 to celebrate their opening. We got to not only enjoy all the house-made options, but we got to create our own and play on those fancy ice cream plates! Since that fateful visit in 2016, I have brought many folks to experience all that ICENY has to offer and even drop by alone on occasion to partake in those tasty rolls! ICENY is small, but mapped out well with a combination of high tops, regular tables and even some lounge seating. I would guess you can get 25 folks sitting comfortably in this space. They do not have outside seating though. Another tip for this and other rolled ice cream places is be prepared for a potential line and wait. They make everything to order, so that takes a few minutes for each person or order, so be patient with these ice cream artists! While you can get creative and get have them make whatever you want, if you are indecisive or just not creative with ingredients, they do features about 12 - 15 pre-created varieties of the dessert ranging from Strawberry Cheesecake, S'more, Are You Cereal, Matcha and of course their most popular, Mango Sticky Rice. My top pre-created cups are the Biscoff or the Cooke Spree...that Cookie Spree has sweet cream, Oreo's, Cookie Crisp cereal and chocolate sauce! You had me at "cookie". As mentioned, you can always create your own. You start with one the six ice cream bases, next choose your mix-ins from the 20+ choices and then you top it off with your choice of toppings and sauce! Most cups with run you on average around $6.00. Of course the more you add, the more it will cost as each additional topping is .50. Service has always been stellar here. Even though I am a loyalist to my cookie treat, I always teeter on switching things up, so naturally I ask questions about the best combinations and their recommendations. They are always friendly and happy to help! Also, it is always pretty cool to watch these folks work their magic behind the counter! ICENY is a cool spot, no pun intended...and one you should definitely check out for a solid dessert when cruising up and down Buford Highway!

Yelp
I was first introduced to this gem by my sister and her boyfriend. I've had my fair share of rolled ice cream, so I wasn't expecting anything different, so I decided to try it out, and I was amazed. The cozy atmosphere was warm and inviting; the service was amazing; the staff was friendly and served every scoop with a smile. My ice cream was prepared with fresh fruits, and it tasted amazing as my inner child was happy for the delicious treat.

Yelp
Overall 5/5: Super delicious dessert! Perfect for a hot summer day. ICENY is tucked away in a plaza off of Buford Highway, but totally worth the visit. Dessert 5/5: We both got the mango sticky rice ice cream. It was amazing! I loved the actual mango flavored ice cream they made and then the mangoes itself along with the sticky rice were great. Service 5/5: Friendly and patient, we took a little bit to decide what we wanted, but they were very kind. It was really fast. Thank you, ICENY!

Yelp
My very first time getting rolled ice cream was here. I got the Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream. Watching the process seeing it rolled was very interesting to watch. The Mango flavor could've had a more mango flavor to it for the ice cream however the dessert as a whole was amazing!! It came with chunks of mango and sticky rice. I was eating it like it was the last meal on earth. They have indoor seating and free parking, i'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
ICENY has the best rolled ice cream I've ever had! Looks like they are pretty popular for good reason. The Mango Sticky Rice was amazing. The warm coconut sticky rice tasted delicious with the ice cream and fresh mango. There was even a cute banana leaf to top it all off. My boyfriend got the Are You Cereal and enjoyed it, but he said he preferred mine better. They have other unique flavors as well. I can't wait to try more!

Yelp
As soon as I get off the plane from San Diego California, I have to come to ICENY. This spot is very similar to the spots on Convoy Street. This is my go to spot when I need my rolled ice cream fix. Fast, efficient but the quality is always on point. The sticky rice is my favorite as it's not overly sweet and warm (pro tip: you can ask for extra). My favorite is the Mango Sticky Rice but when you can get the Hello, Halo halo. Love, love, love this place
google avatar

Cassie H.

Yelp
This has to be one of the most aesthetic rolled ice cream places I have been to! They have some very unique ice cream combos, and they make this all right in front of you. I think it is very worth for dessert!

Eddy C.

Yelp
whoever thought of the mango sticky rice flavor is a genius. the warm sticky rice goes along perfectly with the mango ice cream. a bit pricey but a good dessert experience for sure -- if you want, they also have multiple other unique flavors that you can try
google avatar

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. One of our family friends recommended this place and they specifically recommended the mango sticky rice. I found hair. 1) Only one wearing hats. 2) There we're barely any people, about 2-3. They were taking longer than expected as there was only a couple ahead of me. The service was kind of rude, no welcoming and their attitudes were horrible. I did not feel welcomed at alll. There was one tall guy with a white shirt and a short one with a blue shirt. This place was horrible, I hope they can fix their service.
google avatar

Yelp
When my cousin suggested here.. I thought oh typical rolled ice cream. Boy, was I wrong! Their rolled ice cream is packed with flavors and unique toppings. I had a really hard time deciding! Luckily, we got a bunch to try. Top favs are mango sticky rice, Thai tea, and raspberry lychee. Delicious condensed milk on top. It's such a cute place! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've been missing out on this rolled up ice cream place for years! This spot does some authentic tasting Asian flavors at reasonable prices (~$6). Purely food based review: Halo Halo (limited edition) - Really good Ube ice cream, whipped cream optional. Contains sweet red beans and coconut flakes mixed in. If you like Ube or Taro I'm general this is really good! Mango Sticky Rice - Now this is proper mango ice cream with good warm sticky rice over coconut milk! Really amazing idea to bring a tradition dessert to rolled up ice cream!

Yelp
Love this place. Been here about 4 times, and it keeps getting better! Today i got mango sticky rice w/ thai ice cream instead of mango. The toppings are not stale, they are fresh! A lot of places tastes stale, but not this place. My boyfriend made his own, vanila cream + Oreo + marshmallows + cookies. He loved it! The customer service is great and the atmosphere is clean & neat.

Yelp
I had been to ICENY Atlanta before, so I knew what to expect. This time, though, I was going to try something that I hadn't ordered previously. Parking was easy to find in the large, free parking lot shared by all of the many businesses in the strip mall, and ICENY is at one end of the strip mall.  When we visited in late September, there were two employees, and no other customers except for the two of us. They quickly took our orders; I ordered Strawberry Shortcake, and R ordered Chocorilla. We watched as the employees quickly and efficiently got down to work. R's Chocorilla had chocolate ice cream, banana, Oreo and Nutella sauce. The employee making the Chocorilla didn't take much time putting the ingredients on the frozen plate, dicing up everything while spreading out everything on the plate to freeze it all. After his short upper body workout, the employee scraped the frozen treat, creating rolls which he placed into a small cup. He then placed a Pocky stick into the cup. At the same time the other employee made my Strawberry Shortcake treat, putting strawberry cheesecake and a waffle wedge with the sweet cream, dicing them all and spreading them out on the frozen plate to let everything freeze.  He then scraped the frozen ice cream into rolls, using the width of his spatula as his guide, from the edge of the plate closest to him to the edge of the plate farthest from him, and kept doing that until there wasn't any more ice cream to scrape off.  He then used a pair of tongs to place the ice cream rolls into a paper cup.  Afterward, he put a dollop of whipped cream on top. We ate our rolled ice cream inside at one of the small tables.  My Strawberry Shortcake was delicious and had a bold flavor of strawberry - so good! I could tell R liked his Chocorilla because he ate it so quickly. The store still looks great, was very clean. and has a homey and welcoming vibe.  There are two long high top tables that customers can sit on stools at, or they can sit at small tables, or sit on a comfy couch in the corner.  The store is well lit and the menu is lively looking and easy to read on the wall. I look forward to trying more frozen treats here!

Yelp
I've only had rolled ice cream once before but it was nothing like this one. This was absolutely delicious. I had the banana one and it all tasted so fresh and creamy. I would gladly return again and again.
google avatar

Yelp
A really solid rolled ice cream spot! They offered a wide selection of ice cream options and add-ons, so there is plenty of permutations for everyone. There isn't just ice cream too so I do think it can fit everyone's taste. It is a bit sweet and can be heavy so take that as a heads up. Great place to hit after getting some Asian food on this road!
google avatar

Yelp
I had the best experience at ICENY! Parking is kind of limited depending on when you go. Once I secured parking upon entering this spot was very fun pleasing to the eye. Definitely a few opportunities for a selfie! I Tried to pull up their Snapchat filter couldn't figure it out. Anyhoo I chose the strawberry cheesecake ice cream roll. To watch them create it was very entertaining and the end presentation was awesome. Definitely a tasty treat and I will be back soon. Check out my pics... full vid on TikTok @cookingtravelingtye...

Yelp
Love this place and I love my Mango Sticky Rice! The warm rice mixed with the silky cold ice cream is perfection! And clearly, it hits home with everyone as well. As packed as this place gets, the staff does a great job engaging and putting on a show as they prepare the ice cream. They are quick, efficient and effective. Thank you ICE-NY for making my tummy happy!

Yelp
What you need to know: Great tasting ice cream, many options, dairy-free option!, fun visuals, small venue. Came here many a time and was excited to visit this great ice cream spot off of Buford hwy located next to the subway I worked at as a teenager and across from the legendary Asian Square yet again! Food: The mango sticky rice was odd at first but got better with every bite. While I do think having the rice be a little colder, or at least at room temp would make it a better experience, the more I bit into it, the more I couldn't resist having another bite. The unique flavor and texture combinations of the mango, ice cream, coconut cream, and rice was just addicting! My girlfriend got a custom dairy free option and was equally addicted to hers which used the coco-mango ice cream as the base. Service: This has always been and was A++. Friendly, courteous, and very customer-first. Price: Ended up paying about $10 for my girlfriend's ice cream, so can't complain! All well worth it for me! Overall, I love this place. Not only for its unique spin on ice cream and fun watching experience, but because the service is always great and the ice cream is so flavorful! Can't wait to be back soon!

Yelp
My goodness! I have never had anything quite like this! The whole experience was really fun!! They make the ice cream right in front of you with exactness! First you pick your flavor and the have many to choose from and the they put it onto a cold countertop thing and they mix it and make it really flat and then roll it! They had cool seasonal flavors. I got the mango sticky rice.... it was so delicious and mouth watering! It came with mango ice cream, mangos and of course sticky rice! Kind of sounds like a weird combo but it was delightful! Fresh! Tasty! Different! Definitely give it a try if you haven't already!

Yelp
Will definitely return and with more adventurous food company around me. The Taro ice cream was incredible!! So tasty! And the staff was very friendly. They may need additional ice cream drums and more workers soon with all the business they are getting now since the weather is warming up. Will be back again for sure!

Yelp
The ice cream was sweet. The service was efficient. The ambiance is somewhat quaint, mainly teenagers work & hang here. Can't wait to try more flavors.

Yelp
Stopped in on Thursday to get some rolled ice. I got the mango sticky rice! So unique! The flavor combo was so good. The sticky rice was really tasty and I loved the hot and cold contrast. They have some other really yummy flavors as well that I'd love to come back and try! The staff was really friendly as well!

Yelp
This ICENY is a family owned franchise rolled ice dessert shop! They have so many permutations and combinations of flavors, toppings, sides to choose from. I had never tried rolled ice before this and I have to say it was fulfilling for the price of $5.39. You get $1 off the original price if you checkin with Yelp! Go for it, you won't regret it and would have tried something new! Also, there are only 3 rolled ice spots in a 40 mile radius of midtown Atlanta to John's creek,GA that I'm aware of. This is the only spot with so many flavor options and is award winning. There are only 20 ICENYs in the United States, so have to appreciate the fact that you have a rare one in doraville with a lot of free parking spots!

Yelp
Consistently great ice cream, creative flavors (and always introducing new flavors too), friendly staff -- and the latest reason why we love their ice cream? My nephew who has egg and nut allergies can eat their ice cream :) Their ice cream has no egg, and nuts are not offered as a mix-in or topping -- so no worries about cross-contamination. However note, they do have nutella which has hazelnut .... which fortunately my nephew can eat. We had the "Wants'More" rolled ice cream and the new Vietnamese coffee rolled ice cream - both great, and seriously who doesn't get entranced watching them do their magic? My favorite rolled ice cream joint, and I love taking my out-of-town guests there! FYI unless you're super hungry, a rolled ice cream superfan or don't like sharing food, I think the portion is enough for two people to share.

Yelp
They, hands down, have perfected the sticky rice! Not only was it warm & soft with just the right amount of sweetness, it was also covered in an amazing coconut cream that complimented both the mango sticky rice ice-cream and coconut ice-cream with blue sticky rice. And if you like little shaved coconut in your coconut ice cream like me, do give this a try ASAP! We also tried the mojito line, mainly because I can't resist lychee mojito. The presentation was very cute however, I would opt out of the green sugar sprinkles... it made the creamy texture of the ice-cream very grainy ..?

Yelp
After scrolling through tik toks, I ran across this rolled ice cream place. I love rolled ice cream and love mango sticky rice so I decided this would be a great place to check out. The mango sticky rice was amazing however I didnt enjoy the strawberry cheesecake. This is partially due to my dislike of strawberry syrup. However, the ingredients are very fresh so I would recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed my mango sticky rice dessert. I wasn't expecting actual rice to be int it, but it was a pleasant addition to the already amazing tasting dessert. I watched my dessert being prepared and also watched a few clips of a cooking competition show that was playing. I guess the restaurant was a contestant on the show. I didn't get to watch the entire clip though. The preparation process was interesting to watch and then seeing the finished product was really cool. I love how the ice cream is rolled, scraped, then put into the cups in rolls. I wasn't sure what to expect when I tasted it, but I really liked it. It was ice cream!!!! There was some rice on the top of it, it tasted sweet like the ice cream. It was sticky too; hence the name. I didn't mind the rice in the dessert. I don't see myself adding rice to any ice cream at home anytime soon, but I'd definitely get it when I return here. I liked the set up of the restaurant. It was like any other ice cream shop, but a little cuter. They had a picture taking station set up near the end of the counter and some hight top tables and regular tables. The decor was really cute too; ICENY on the walls. Looked like a NY subway station. The location is around a lot of other businesses on Buford Highway and this particular shopping center did not have a lot of parking. It's a busy area. There was an accident on the street on the way there. Be careful driving when you go and be prepared to drive around looking for a place to park; or go early.

Yelp
ICENY has quickly become my favorite go-to for dessert treats. When the location first opened, I remember only going a handful of times. Lately, it seems like I stop by more than I probably should. It's located in a bustling part of Buford and can easily be overshadowed by other places in the area. But if you do happen to need a reason to be in that area. There's a good eats spot 'Bobo garden' and 'LanZhou Ramen' within the same plaza. Then afterwards, stop by ICENY for dessert! My favorite is the Mango Sticky Rice Roll. I've tried to make it myself, buy from the store, and other alternatives, but can't quite come close to the way they make it here. The sticky rice is my favorite part, topped with condensed milk makes it an excellent treat any time of day. There's many other good choices to choose from, and that makes it all the more fun to come back again. The staff is always nice, no matter what anyone says. It can get busy, especially when they sometimes have to make 2 - 4 different things for the customer that came before you, and then take your order. It's not the easiest or quickest dessert to make, so please be patient with them. Also, there is a staff shortage and often times I see only one person working in the store. Rarely, do I see two or even the more rare three people. So be kind, be patient, and tip! I can definitely recommend ICENY to anyone stopping by the area. If even only for that one dessert which is my favorite the Mango Sticky Rice. It's that good and worth the trip!

Yelp
The store is located at the far end of the plaza next to Subway. The ice cream is served as rolls instead of scoops which just looks cool. The liquid freezes with air bubbles inside, creating that smooth but textured feel that you can't describe. Watching how smoothly the ice cream rolls up is one of those "oddly satisfying" moments. I wonder if it takes a lot of screw ups to get the hang of scraping without breaking that thin roll. 7 flavors does t sound like much, but once you throw in 20 extras and 32 toppings things get exciting. You can choose a menu combination or create your own. Your extras are placed in a way that makes for a beautiful presentation. Each location has its own seasonal and local flavors that are usually posted on the stores individual social media accounts. I've never heard of mixing rice with ice cream so I planned to try the Mango Sticky Rice but I just couldn't do it. I spoke to Elise about ice cream that I usually eat and she suggested the Thai I-CE Tea. It's Thai tea ice cream, lychee fruit a bit of chocolatey condensed milk, topped with whip cream, and has a chocolate cookie straw. I love tea but have never considered tea-flavored ice cream. Elise was right. The Thai Tea is totally different from how I thought tea ice cream would taste. The cookie straw was a nice touch and lychee tastes almost like mandarins. I also spoke to "Ma" while I was there. She's from Thailand. The Mango Sticky Rice is THEE most popular combination. Ma guesses that it accounts for a third of sales. After trying the Mango people come back and reorder it, or they'll try sticky rice with another flavor (sticky rice is a $2 add on with any flavor). Ma explained that sticky rice is not like grain rice at all. It's sweet and soft. We talked about the Coconut Sticky Rice. It's coconut ice cream, coconut flakes, blue sticky rice, jackfruit, coconut sauce, and a banana leaf for decoration. The sticky rice is blue for aesthetics. It looks nicer than white rice against white ice cream. It gets its color from the Butterfly Pea flower. The flower is boiled then the sticky rice sits in that blue water. The flavor isn't affected. I was hesitant because like coconut flavor but not its texture so Ma let me try the coconut sauce. It's a hit for me. I was thinking of trying it on my next visit until she said the rice is warm. If you love ice cream on a hot brownie you get it. I couldn't stop myself and bought one. Again, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved it. The warm, gooey rice and sheets of coconut ice cream are a match made in heaven. I'm now looking forward to trying the Mango. The banana leaf is a homage to Thailand and only for decoration. The banana tree is common in Thailand and its leaves are often used to wrap, carry, or hold food (like a bowl). About I-CE-NY This company began in Thailand and operates under the name I-Tim-Pad which means "stir-fried (rolled) ice cream in Thai. It's first U.S. location is in New York and was so named I-CE-NY (I see New York).

Yelp
ICENY is my favorite Thai rolled ice cream place (I've only tried two, but still). The ice cream is great, the options are plentiful, the interior is bright and clean, and there's plenty of parking in the strip mall. I first visited ICENY during a trolley tour hosted by We Love BuHi. We got to meet and hear from the owner and try custom ice cream combos. The ice cream is creamy, not too sweet, and I love adding on all my favorites (and new-to-me things). I really appreciate that they have a dairy-free option, because my mom is lactose-intolerant. I've enjoyed everyone of my visits, and I've brought my mom, friends, and date here. The ambience suits two people having a casual date and groups of friends alike. The decor is cute and inviting, and the staff has always been friendly. Waiting for your ice cream order may take a while, but the fresh-made customized dessert is worth the wait. There is a private bathroom inside for guests, at the back of the shop.

Yelp
My group of five came here one night. The space is open and bright with pops of color all around. ICENY wasn't busy when we arrived so we got to order right away. We wanted to order the Mango Sticky Rice, but it's a seasonable flavor and it wasn't available. We ordered the following: Biscoff $5.99 To-Taro $5.99 Wants'more $6.50 Coconut Sticky Rice $6.99 Strawberry Cheesecake $5.99 I tried the first four. They all tasted just as described and not too sweet. The texture was creamy, but not too rich. Just right. Most of us couldn't finish our ice cream, but we had just had a big dinner right before. Of the ones I've tried, my favorite would have to be the coconut sticky rice. I like how the rice was warm. I can't wait for them to bring back the mango sticky rice so I can try that next!

Yelp
Wow. It's so good! Its sweet, cold, and warm at the same time! I got the #1. Mango sticky rice. It has rolled mango ice cream. Topped with warm sweet sticky rice, mango chunks. And coconut drizzle. This will make your mouth wet!!
