Yummy ice cream at Iceskimo! We ordered two waffle creations with ube soft serve ice cream, one was the strawberry shorty and the other the Cookie Monster. Both tasted really good and were pretty filling. Nice staff and quick service. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend!

Our kids love this place. So do my wife and I. The dessert is really good and they have plenty of options. Taiwanese style ice cream and bubble waffles with several sweet syrup flavors to choose from. Plenty of delicious toppings. Our family favorite is the lemon ice or Nutella ice with a bubble waffle. The walls need new paint. The seating area is too small and a little dirty. They do not have enough staff. Parking is a pain, but always can be found in the nearby parking structure.

My kids love to get the matcha green tea or the Vietnamese iced coffee shaved ice here. So good! You can get whatever toppings you want and they charge you by weight. They have a punch card as well so you can earn a free shaved ice.

This spot is a Convoy St. favorite! I’ve tried their shaved snow and ube mochi waffle creation — both were delicious. The ube soft serve was particularly tasty and my group’s favorite. The staff are friendly and prepare the desserts fresh and in front of you, which is a joy to see.

A great little shop in the Convoy District. Cool creations. Not to be missed: The chocolate hazelnut bubble waffle...also try the shaved snow.

Love their Ube soft serve! Highly recommend. My friend got their tiger milk soft serve and it wasn't my favorite, definitely depends on your personal preference. I also got their pineapple Dole whip drink - knocking off a star because it was very messy and sticky when they handed it over to me. Takeaway: get the Ube soft serve!

I need one of these in Salt Lake. Until then I’ll stop by EVERY time I’m in the San Diego area. This place lived up to the hype. There are similar places in Salt Lake but they don’t quite compare to the flavor and texture of Icekimo. They have some preset menu items but you can always alter or add your own toppings. The large might look like it’s too big but trust me, you’ll still leave wanting more.

This was fun!! It was my first time to Icekimo, and a week later, I went to their Del Mar Highlands location. I tried the strawberry cheesecake bubble waffle. The waffle was warm. The strawberries were plump and fresh, and the little cheesecake bites were yummy, too. I also tried the mango shaved ice with some toppings. They charge by weight and have a plethora of toppings. The parking at this location is hit or miss depending on when you go, but there's also a parking garage around the back. I highly recommend a visit on a sunny day. Both locations have outdoor seating.

This location and their sister place in Carmel Valley serve the absolute best artisan shaved snow in town. Hands down, the very best! My husband and I have been to both locations many times, both on our own and with grandchildren and other guests as a happy excuse. Every one of them raves about it and I understand why. My favorite flavor is nutella (to die for); husband loves the Vietnamese coffee (also excellent); and grandkids go for strawberry (dreamy too). They have other items too, such as soft serve, waffles, and toppings fit everything. I just can't bring myself to stay from the shaved snow because it's addictive. If you have a chance, try it. You won't be sorry

Considering the prices of shaved ice, I think this place is pretty affordable compared to other places. Me and my friend split a kids size bowl of original ice with condensed milk. This was the cheapest and smallest option but it was still a really good about to split. I think rounded up it was about $10. I don't think I could eat a whole one on my own without feeling sick after so I would recommend splitting it with someone. You get to choose your own toppings and then they weigh for the final price. They have a great selection of toppings including boba. One drawback is the place seems like it needs to be more diligent cleaning. The tables were unwiped and the place didn't seem that clean. It's nothing horrible, just something I immediately noticed upon walking in. Service didnt really wow me either. I could tell the girls working didn't really care about us being there which is fair enough.

I love coming here year round but especially in the summer when it's hot outside it feels super refreshing. The food is always great I never had a bad experience and the customer service is always great. Highly recommend!

This place was so yummy! It smelled good as soon as we stepped in. Service was fast and friendly. There was a few tables and chairs to sit inside and enjoy your food. The strawberry affogato caught my eye on the menu as I had never seen it offered at any dessert shops. It did not disappoint! I totally recommend it. The waffle and mochi paired well with the strawberry snow and matcha tea. Only downside-- the parking is a little cramped.

It was our first time visiting iceSkimo. As we walked in I notice the shop was filled with an amazing smell of sweet fresh waffles being made. The restaurant was clean and organized, every topping they offered was stocked up & looked fresh. The staff were very friendly and patient and made our first experience really great. We got an order of the snickerdoodle waffle creation, Tiger soft serve with Oreo, bubble waffle, soft serve swirl with toppings & Vietnamese ice coffee. Everything came out delicious especially the bubble waffles and waffle creation was made fresh and came out warm, soft, crisped and nicely built together! We'll definitely be back. Came here for an after lunch great, loved the snickerdoodle creation without banana, the waffle was still warm even with the ice cream and it stayed crispy for a really good long time! This combo was just perfect, not too sweet and just so yummy! It's a small shop, there were only 2 employees and there was a lot of customers, service was slow to go but overall it's a great place for a sweet treat!!

Not to be dramatic but Iceskimo served the best boba I've ever tasted. The actual pearls were excellent. They were incredibly chewy and perfectly sweet. Whether you're getting one of the many shave snow or boba drink options, the boba add-on is a must. I got the Jasmine Trifecta shave snow and added condensed milk, boba, strawberry, and almond jelly and it was excellent. The jasmine shave snow came from an actual frozen block of jasmine milk tea and not just plain shave ice with jasmine tea flavored syrup on top. It was nicely flavored throughout and tasted like puffy clouds of tea heaven. It was soooo good. There were so many options to choose from whether you're a fruity or chocolate lover, there's something sweet for you. It was kinda pricey though as the toppings were self-served and weight-based. The large after all the add-ons mentioned above came out to $12. It was enough to be shared by 2 but it was so good I could have eaten the whole thing myself! Place was small but comfortable. Service was friendly. Parking is tight but there's always lots during lunch hours.

We stopped by this place on Christmas Day and the line was out the door! As you enter the shop the sweet smell of waffles fills the air. There are a lot of items on the menu and we got shaved snow , 2 waffle creations, one chocolate and one cookie. They were a bubble waffle cone with soft serve ice cream in the middle and 2 toppings, Oreo and mochi one, cookie crumble and Oreo on the other. We also go a chocolate waffle on the side and a regular one with Nutella in the middle. The kiddos inhaled them before I could grab a picture. Lol. I definitely want to come back and try the other items.

My boyfriend & I love coming here when we're craving shaved ice. He loves that you get to choose & add however many topping you want. The ice is always shaved to perfection! Just be careful how much toppings you put or else you end up with a $22 bowl...

Everywhere I go I have to try their Matcha and this place definitely knows how to do it right! Sweet dessert with earthy flavored matcha for a quick pick me up after dinner. Friendly staff and cute atmosphere. I wouldn't call this a complaint about the store but keep in mind that because this place is located on Convoy parking is limited. To ease the stress just park on the street. Must try place !

Undoubtedly delicious selection of flavors, but their set-up and process takes too long, and the music was unnecessarily loud. Shaved ice can be such a refreshing and delicious dessert, and the variety of flavors and seasonals here, are a major plus. The toppings also seem to be pretty fresh, so that helps too. But with only one machine to work from and that same person working the waffle maker really slows things down. The music being loud also doesn't help with customers that aren't sure what they want and trying to communicate with the staff. The counters could have used a wipe down more often too... Overall... ok... flavors were good enough I'd want to try again... but definitely not worth a long wait.

I haven't been here for awhile but it's just as good as I recall! We ordered the strawberry snow ice and the lychee snow ice. Fyi The lychee one is dairy free. We added our fav toppings like mochi, jelly, popping boba and gummy bears . Both so refreshing on a warm summer day. It's 68 cents per ounce now. So depending on how many toppings you get it determines how much it will cost. Each one was about 15 ounces so it was about $10 each for us. They still have punch cards as their loyalty program. We got 2 small sizes and shared it amongst 3 people. Glad this place is still around!

I stop in here very often after a ramen or KBBQ dinner because it's in such a convenient spot in relation to so many other great places! They do their version of a waffle coma which is always warm and fresh. The ice cream is awesome and presentation is always fun and fancy. They were very busy when we went tonight and staff was still very helpful and set waiting expectations which were totally reasonable. Great after dinner dessert spot!

The desserts are cool, but the tables are filthy! No bananas during this visit. That still seems to happen all too often at many dessert places we visit. Guess it's something that's still hard to keep in stock. My girl was a bit sad about that and settled for strawberries with her ube ice cream. I had an affogato with passion fruit shaved ice, mochi (I'll pass next time) and matcha green tea. It was fun to pour the hot matcha on my shaved ice. I'm not a dessert person but I liked this a lot. After ordering, we discovered both of the only two tables in the shop were disgustingly dirty. One tabletop looked like something my kids would have painted when they were toddlers. It was too disgusting for me to take photos and post here. Don't want to ruin anyone's meal seeing that cruddy table. I can understand the dirty tables if it was busy (we were the ONLY customers when we arrived) and if they had lots of tables (they don't--just 2). So yeah the two young ladies working that night weren't on top of it. We basically picked the least dirty of the two tables and proceeded to disinfect it ourselves before sitting down. They pretended not to notice as they worked to fill our orders. The desserts were yummy so I give some amount of forgiveness here, but it got busy later. Thankfully we were done by then and able to leave the small shop filled with people. This is a nice place for a dessert. Just don't expect any clean tables.

My brother and I came in for some dessert after getting sushi for lunch next door. The girl at the register was friendly and suggested some of her favorites, as there were a lot of good options on the menu that made it difficult for us to decide. We went ahead and got an ube mochi waffle creation (upon her recommendation) and a cup of the ube soft serve. The waffle was made fresh and was absolutely packed with ube soft serve, and the toppings of mochi pieces and Oreo crumble. It was really messy to eat, but it was delicious! The ube soft serve had amazing flavor and smooth texture, the waffle was really crispy and warm and really held the soft serve well, and the toppings were simple but added flavor and texture to the dessert. Great spot to check out if you're in the Convoy area and looking for a sweet treat!

Employees need to respect the ordering priority. If you ordered a simple ice drink and had to wait longer than necessary and 2 different customers with more complicated orders from behind you got their orders first. This is a very poor customer experience. Just happened today, 5/4/24 at 3:45pm.

Starting off a new year with a satisfied craving. I am always so pleased with this shop because not only are the desserts very tasty, but the customer service is over the top. The employee who helped me out was Renee and she was so friendly and kind. I was in the mood for some matcha and I told her to surprise me with the toppings and she did an outstanding job. I even got a recording of the matcha shot being poured into my cup! On top of it all, I got a cinnamon bubble waffle which was so delicious and wasn't overpowering with sugar. The prices are very affordable and there is a stamp card to get a free shaved ice. The interior is clean, small but very cozy and warm. Parking is slightly a pain since it's surrounded by other restaurants and the wait for this place can be long at times. But if you are looking for a place to satisfy your sweet-tooth, come here! I highly recommend this place to hang with friends and family. Service is 10/10 and the desserts/ice cream are also a 10/10! I'm definitely going to make this place as one of my top dessert spots to eat at.

Food: We tried the Icekimo milk tea, in which we could taste the quality of their tea and the other ingredients. But what stole the show was the strawberry shorty waffle creations - original waffle, vanilla soft serve, strawberries, and cheesecake. The waffle was hot, crispy, and fluffy. The soft serve was smooth. And the toppings paired very well. Will come back to try other flavors, along with their shaved ice desserts! Service: The workers were very welcoming and friendly, despite us coming in 20 minutes before closing. We didn't feel rushed and had nicely crafted desserts. Atmosphere: A couple tables inside and a standing area, but there was more seating outside, which was great under the fine San Diego weather. Pleasant aesthetics as well.

Stopped in here after grabbing dinner with friends. We all had a sweet tooth and none of us had tried Iceskimo. I ordered the coffee affogato since I love anything coffee flavored! It was so delicious! They have so many different flavors including vegan options. Definitely worth the stop in for a sweet treat!

I came here with my friend in the afternoon, there were only two workers which I felt was a significant amount for the space they worked in. They weren't really talkers (just the sound of the different flavor ice being shaved and the slight chatter of guests). The menu posted outside and the menu they had inside varied a bit. It would be nice if it were updated. This was my first time at the topping station. It was a bit messy in a sense and many of the options were very low on refills. There weren't any signs saying what was what. And I felt kind of weird seeing as we were allowed to scoop it outselves but we had to reach over multiple sections of the area. It's just (even though my hand was clean), who knows if others hands were. And I did see that they had gloves but they hadn't mentioned anything about it. Or the process of adding toppings. I feel like after she gave us the shaved ice we were on our own-- We ordered a small thai tea shaved ice with condensed milk. We added lychee jelly cubes (I thought it was nata de coco, but it was not), grass jelly (we enjoyed the fact it was firm!), longan fruit, brown sugar boba, and more condensed milk. -- This dessert was very cold and perfect to cool us down in the heat that we experienced today. The thai tea flavor we chose was perfectly brewed into the cube and shaved nice and finely. Despite it being milk based the ending texture wasn't icey at all. (Some frozen milk based desserts tend to get that icy and chunky texture to them). On the side of the register, there were 3 bottles. One was condensed milk, caramel, and chocolate syrup. Very interesting. For a dessert place like this, I would have loved if they had brown sugar syrup to add on the top of the shaved ice. Another thing I found kind of odd was that they didn't refill the napkins holder. And there wasn't a trash can (as far as we could visibly see) avaliable for our finished bowl. We had to walk to the business over and place it in their trash can. The amount of Iceskimo bowls that overflowed the 2 outdoor trash cans was absurd! I felt nervous just stacking my bowl on top. It was like a mountain of them.

Overpriced for what you get now...taste and quality still there but you are paying close to $10 for ice. If you want a lighter Asian flavored treat worth a try especially the lychee flavor and taro flavored ices. Quick service and friendly staff

Ordered Snickerdoodle Waffle and we loved it! I love how crispy but soft the waffle is. The cashier was really nice and I think she might be working by herself but she got the orders down and ready in a short amount of time. The inside only has 2 seating area but their patio is open and cute!

Yummy! So glad I stopped by to check this place out. The snow is such a light and satisfying sweet treat; I enjoyed every bite of mine and can't wait to come back and try the other flavors! The prices are reasonable and it's even fun to eat. This time I got the Nutella so I'm thinking maybe Thai tea next time

The snow was so good. There were so many options of flavors! Also, there was a good amount of delicious toppings. The service was fast, and the line went by quickly. The shop was clean, but a little small, but there was still a good amount of tables.

This place was decent, they had an extensive menu and since we've never been here before, I just ordered the Mighty Matcha by the picture even though it wasn't necessarily what I wanted. The place is in need of some cleaning and a nice renovation to make it more welcoming, not to mention there is only a table and a half to sit inside. Service was just ok, pretty quick for as many people that were there ordering. Wouldn't run back anytime soon, but a nice after lunch treat, nonetheless.

I came here with a difficult order, I wanted half Thai tea and half matcha green tea, and in between I wanted condensed milk and cheese cakes. William was very accommodating, and not only to me but to everyone else as well. I appreciate the good vibes he brings to this restaurant!

Such a cool and fun date night! Love watching them shave the ice right in front you and then having the opportunity to build your own bowl to your liking! Lots of unique and fun toppings. My wife and I really enjoyed Iceskimo and will absolutely be back! This place is a must either for locals or people visiting San Diego!

This ice cream spot is so unique. They have a variety of flavors including taro, cookies n creme, nutella and so much more. They also have many different options of dessert to choose from. I love all of their topping choices. I usually go with the mango jelly, popping boba, regular boba, and condensed milk. Soooo delicious. The only issue I have is with parking. Because so many good resturants are located around here, the lot is almost always full and it's sometimes impossible to find parking. The service has always been great i've never had a problem. The ambiance is great, the resturant is always clean, the line can be long at times but that's okay. They get through it in good time.

This place was good! The customer service was excellent. It was busy and I got the strawberry shortcake. It came with strawberries and cheesecake bites. Wish the ice cream had more of a strawberry flavor but my husband got the tiger drink and it was 12/10!! I saw they also have a ice cream with tiger drink and I'm so going to get it next time!

We had gone to SomiSomi twice and this place is across the street so wanted to try a different frozen dessert. I didn't order exactly what I wanted as the menu is slightly difficult to read. So I got three of the "fish" shaped waffles and soft serve. The waffles were made to order and they were excellent. The soft serve was typical. My family got the tea flavored and ube flavored shaved ice cream which was interesting to watch them make, but I was not a huge fan of the shaved ice cream. It was fun to try this place, it was clean and bright inside, but SomiSomi is my favorite in the area.

Definitely my go to spot for shaved snow in Convoy after dinner, but they also sell drinks and bubble waffle combinations. It's located in a small plaza with limited, free parking surrounded by other restaurants. I tried the Jasmine milk tea and Vietnamese coffee shaved snow flavors. They were both pretty good, I liked how mellow the flavors were and it wasn't overpowering. I topped it with cookie dough pieces and a mochi ball with a drizzle of cream. You can add your own toppings accordingly and customize it however you want. When you get to the register, they weigh your cup and that's how they determine how much you pay. The staff was friendly and the shop was clean. Overall, would recommend for a quick dessert fix if you're craving Taiwanese shaved snow.

I've been raving about this place since it first opened and since moving to LA haven't been able to find a place that even comes close..I always make it a point to stop by whenever I'm visiting SD! The original milk snow is my go-to, it's perfectly soft and fluffy and taste is so flavorful, similar to the snows in Taiwan. The toppings are always super fresh too, I like to add strawberries, egg pudding, almond pudding, and boba. Def give this place a try, I'm so happy they are expanding and adding more items to the menu!

I love afogato, I love match but never had matcha Afogato. I didn't know it's even existed!!! What a perfect match! It was a little bit too sweet for my taste, but I liked it! It was lighter than ice cream afogato

Good snow cone option around San Diego area. Service is good and quick. We were here during weekend evening, it was extremely crowded. There was no place to sit inside. Ordered Affogato and custom snow cup.

My favorite go-to place for shaved ice thai tea! They usually have a preset combination for thai tea, but basically I like to add on dark chocolate chunks, mochi, boba, and condense milk drizzle. You have the option for them to make you the preset, or do-it-yourself from the open toppings area I've tried the snow affogatos and love them all. If I had to pick one, I would get the Mighty Matcha.

I recently tried Iceskimo and it was amazing! My favorite was the coffee affogato with shaved ice, milk, and ube - it was delicious! Prices are good and there are a variety of topping options available. The mochi texture was great! We were lucky that there was hardly a line at the time I visited. When we received our orders, there was a long wait. This place gets quite popular. The only downside was the difficulty finding parking.

Very very slow service. One person is working at the register taking orders and making them as well. Very inefficient to come here during short lunch break. I like their drinks but would not come back to waste my time like that again.

Loved getting to watch them make snow! I've never watched this process and the machine/technique they use it really fascinating. Although the line looks long, it moves really fast and you get your desserts within 10 minutes. Both the snow and soft serve are pretty standard but what makes this place stand out is the self serve toppings bar. You get to choose exactly what + how much of everything you want and they weight it at the end like froyo!

Never seen so many flavor options for shaved ice before. They also got other enticing items for you to choose from like their Waffle Creation and fun Lattes. We went with the Split Flavor Shaved Ice of Ube and Passionfruit. Both were delicious and tasted accurate. The small size was more than plenty for 2 people. You can also add any toppings you'd like to your ice and pay by weight.

Dessert: 4. Came by to have what I thought was my favorite dessert. I ordered the Ube Mochi skip the condensed milk. Dessert was provided timely. I tried it as is and then added chocolate sauce. They had squeeze bottles to add caramel sauce and condensed milk too. Flavor was very good but Bingsoo is now my favorite dessert

I love this place. They have the tastiest milk shaved ice that just melts in your mouth - reminds me of the street stalls I had when I was still living in Taiwan. My favorite add-ons include the mango popping balls, mango pudding, boba, & condensed milk! They have a lot of seating outside, but none really inside - so just take a seat out & people watch. Perfect place to come to after having dinner nearby! The parking in this area can be a bit of a hassle, so either come during non-busy hours or Uber if you live close!

We ordered a waffle and strawberry matcha drink for a late night dessert. The store is relative small inside but there is outdoor seating as well. I thought this place had a variety of dessert options and will come back to try the others! The waffle was crisp and delicious which paired well with the icecream. The strawberry matcha was made up of matcha and strawberry milk rather than strawberry pureé which I found to be different, but I wasn't a huge fan. Little to no wait time which was great as well!
