Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke

March 23 2025 Sunday This was my first trip to Ichiban and I have been back multiple times since! The convenience of a lovely sushi restaurant near so many neighborhoods must be great for their business. The sushi was great and I love their options, nothing too out there. It's great to go on Tuesdays because they have a deal on their special rolls! I like picking up orders to-go here on my way home. We had a nice waitress, but when we pick up our orders the same lady is always working the register and she is awesome! Will be ordering again, and often.

First time trying sushi and I’m glad I chose this place to experience it for the first time! The service was fast and they were really nice. The food tasted amazing and the restaurant is very tidy and a good vibe!

Love this place. Fast, friendly service and our food was great. Today we had Gyozo, a Poke Bowl and the Ichiban Roll. Have tried several other things on previous visits and it’s always consistently good.

Thoroughly enjoy this place every visit! I typically dine in but ordered to go for the first time today and was just as pleased with my experience. Their location is convenient, the seafood is always fresh and more than fairly portioned, and the service is friendly and efficient. I love going on Tuesdays, any 2 rolls for $18.95 (dine in or to go) and my first poke bowl I ordered today was delicious and a complete bargain at $13.50.

Where do I begin? This establishment impresses me every time. The employees are so nice and they serve THE best and most unique sushi!!! I could eat here every day and never get bored of their sushi options! Their build-your-own poke bowls are simply amazing. And, they always offer you a pineapple on the house at the end of your delightful meal.

I was eating here on 4th of July and was an amazing experience. Food is very reasonably priced and service was just amazing. I had everything I needed, I would deffinitely reccomend and come again. Thank you

We ordered through DoorDash and everything arrived hot and fresh. Both sushi rolls were delicious. We will definitely try this place again. They give you a generous portion of crab rangoon.

I have ordered the exact same thing for dinner two nights in a row, tonight the husband tried something new, IT'S JUST THAT GOOD! They have the best Poke bowls but their eel 😳❤️ it's amazing. The katsu is so perfectly prepared I'm amazed at it.

Ordered from Ichiban for lunch and DID NOT EXPECT THE BEST FREAKIN SPICY EDAMAME IVE EVER HAD. Don't get me wrong, the sushi was great as was the beef yakitori... But the true star of my meal today was the edamame. They have ruined me for all other edamame dishes... for the rest of my life. I even went so far as to CALL THE RESTAURANT bc they had to know that sh^t is BOMBBBBBBBBB

This place is DELICIOUS!! They were super great, and take out was crazy easy. Their workers are nice too!! Its always very fresh

The sushi was very good I called in an order and it was done in the time she said! I loved the decor in the inside the ceiling was fun. It was also very clean! I had the lunch special which included the Mexican roll delicious!

Our family of five had lunch on a weekday. They have an extensive menu with a tremendous variety of hot appetizers, cold appetizers, hot entrees (including hibachi), build your own poke bowls, and of course, sushi rolls, nigiri, and sasahjmj. The service was very good! Food came out relatively quickly in a 1/4 to 1/3 full restaurant. We started with appetizers: jalapeno yellowtail, pepper tuna, bbq squid, and a perfect naruto (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, avocado wrapped in cucumber). The appetizers were the best dishes. Two ordered steak hibachi and one ordered chicken hibachi. The vegetables were good, and the meat was good too - chicken was a little overcooked. One sauce was like an applesauce (a bit off) and one was hard to identify, but not the typical mustard and ginger hibachi sauces. Other dishes included: soba seafood, which was like stir fried noodles with some shrimp and imitation crab - it was okay. Various sushi rolls including spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon, salmon and avocado, and a yellow monkey roll (salmon, avocado, cream cheese with mango on top). The spicy rolls were not spicy at all. The yellow monkey roll was well liked though. Miso soup and an iceberg salad with a rather bland dressing accompanied the lunch specials. In short, the 3 star is more for the quality of sushi and food for the prices... it's a good value, and the servings are generous. The service was very good, and I would give a 3.5 if available. Try it for a lunch special - I would return and try a poke bowl.

We started off with 2 orders of the shrimp tempura rolls. They were so freaking good. We loved them so much, we wish we would have gotten 2 more instead of our entrees. I ordered the curry udon soup because I LOVE curry. The contents of the soup were great especially the little fish cakes and the egg in it. However, the curry broth was very bland and only had a light curry flavor. Plus, it was LAVA hot to the point that I could not eat it. I had to just take it to go after a few scalding bites. Seriously, my wife gave me a piece of her raw broccoli, I threw it in my soup, and within no more than 5 minutes, it was completely cooked and falling apart. For dessert, we got the banana boat. It looks so cool and was pretty tasty. It is not enough to split between 3 though. We will 100% be back for more sushi.

What a wonderful find when staying in Moore on business for a few days. Wonderful service, comfortable atmosphere, and the Poke was absolutely the very best I have ever had (and I LOVE my Poke)! Would highly recommend, and will definitely try again next time in OKC area on business!

We've only been here once, but everything was up to par. Nothing was below or surpassed expectations. It's a fairly conventional Japanese place with no surprises to be had.

Came here today (10/08/24) for lunch with the Norman family. I live in Edmond so, my SIL chose this place. It wasn't too busy so, we didn't need reservations for a Tuesday afternoon. Service was really good, and prompt, and overall was a pleasant experience. The food isn't that great. It's not the best quality sushi, but the prices do reflect quality. It's a little cheaper than other sushi restaurants, and they offer hibachi style dishes for those that do not like sushi. I give the food 2-stars and an extra star for good service. I would say this place is a solid 3-stars. It's just okay, and price definitely reflects quality, tastes a little fishy which wasn't what I was hoping for, but it is what it is.

The service was very friendly and nice but the food wasn't as fresh for the fish that I would prefer. Overall the food was 2 1/2 stars but service is 4 stars so 3 stars for an average lunch. The pricing was on the lower side for sushi, which might explain the quality of the food that was presented. Don't think I will come back just because when I pay for food, I want to pay for the best tasting food for the amount of money spent.

My family and I had dinner at this restaurant, which we frequently visit, this past Sunday night. Sadly, the food was not up to standard. The avocado was not fresh and my roll smelled and tasted fishy - I get the roll all the time and something was definitely off. When they brought the "on the house" pineapple you could clearly see and taste that it was rotting. This meal was a huge let down. I hate to see a restaurant that usually serves such fresh food go downhill.

The food, the service, the vibe, it was all there! We usually visit the one in OKC. We were in the area and decided to stop by. We are soooo glad we did! The decor was sooo cute walking in. The food was delicious and well plated, just like the other location. We are never disappointed with the food or the portions, no matter which location we visit. The service was quick and every one was so nice. It was also great that their punch cards work at both locations! We will definitely be visiting this location again.

This was my second time visiting here and this time I brought my family. The food here is super delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive (the first time I visited here the person who served my table seemed a bit distracted but this time around someone else served us and she was wonderful!) the place is beautiful, I love the space themed decor. We were here to celebrate a birthday and they made it a special experience.

This place is amazing! The decor in the restaurant is so fun to look at. The ceiling is enough for 5 stars on its own. Everyone was so nice also. I ordered the uni shooter. I wasn't sure what I expected but it was a cool experience. I'd never had uni nor quail egg before. I'm sad I didn't check the picture I took before I drank it. I also had the black pepper tuna roll and the sea lobster roll. They were both of exceptional quality. The fish was very fresh. My daughter had the tri color sushi. It came with soup and salad. I don't like miso soup but theirs is seasoned in a way that i actually was ok with the taste. That's a first for me. I think I have a new favorite sushi restaurant. I can't wait to go back.

Great new place right off of Tecumseh Rd, lots of food options and good atmosphere. During my visit today, I realized they had a light show going on the ceiling, very cool. Service was fast and friendly, the only issue I had was the shrimp on the hibachi was a bit overcooked. Flavors were great, just fix the shrimp. Crispy Crab was so good and creamy! I would recommend this place.

Very nice place! I got the salmon teriyaki with the salad option, and my husband got the regular poke bowl. Both of them were attractive and delicious! The Japanese server was personable, friendly, and took good care of us.

Wheeewww, let me tell y'all I've ordered take out from here twice and both times were just wonderful. Their sushi is hands down the freshest tasting and best presentation I've gotten in Norman in a LONG time, these folks here aren't coming to play. We've also tried an assortment of other dishes and all were fantastic! The ambiance and decor while walking in is also beautiful, it's a very clean place with friendly people. I'll take photos and update this review next time we go!

Go to this restaurant! It is the best clear soup and shrimp tempura rolls I've ever eaten. And I have had lots of shrimp tempura. They are fast and delicious!

First time customers, with many many more visits anticipated. "Ten out of ten" exclaimed my ten-year-old! Such a good selection and wonderful quality for the price!

We have been searching for a new sushi place and this is it! The food is always amazing. If you have the chance to eat at the bar, do it! Service is good, but not amazing. Come for the food, and keep coming back.

The food was spectacular as well as the service!! We had about 21 people in our group and they were so accommodating. I highly recommend this place!

Have eaten here twice. Once in the location and once via DoorDash. Both times were fantastic. Had the TOKYO ROLL/SEACH BEACH/SPICY TUNA. very good rolls.

Ordered the lunch hibachi with a side of goza. The goza was excellent. Steamed and then lightly pan fried. Beautiful presentation as well. The hibachi came with soup and salad. The dressing was ok but I like the citrus one you can get elsewhere. This one had a bit of a grit to it. The flavor on the chicken and veggies was great. Dipping sauces were yummy too. The chicken was not moist. Very disappointing to have great flavor and not so good texture. The ambiance is nice and everything is new and clean.

Every time I order food to be delivered, my order is correct. They do an amazing job! They ALWAYS get my side of spicy Mayo and the food tastes amazing

This is a fabulous sushi restaurant. The sushi is always fresh with many options on the menu. The service is incredible. We are warmly greeted with each visit.

Had the Poke bowls, everything was good except for the ahi tuna, it did not taste fresh nor did it smell fresh. Picked it out of the Poke bowl and did not eat. Quality seems to be on the decline and so was the slow service. Been here several times this was our first bad experience.

The sushi here is one of the best in Norman. Love their Octopus appetizer. Kids love the chicken fried rice. The staff are great and the place is well decorated! The Lunch portions are also good!

So here's what I'm reviewing: 3 Scoop Poke bowl with tuna, salmon and mashed spicy tuna. Dang it was delicious! I'm not sure it is the absolute best poke bowl I've ever had, but the fact that you can literally customize your bowl down to even the sauce or the filler/base you choose (sushi rice, brown rice, lettuce were some of the options)---that makes it amazing! Most of the ingredients are free or included, however there is one part in the order where you can choose 2 options that are included and if you add more than 2 then each additional item is $2. I chose seaweed salad, zesty mango and avocado for $2 extra. $19.35 with tax for a super tasty lunch. I will definitely be back for more poke bowls and to try other menu items. Welcome to Norman, Ichiban!

There is nothing to complain about here. The sushi is excellent, but the Poké bowls are even better! The prices are quite agreeable for what you get and there is usually a wine special that makes it even better. The staff here is particularly helpful and kind. We love eating here. The menu is extensive but we keep coming back to the tide and true sushi andPoké bowls. The restaurant is clean, attractively decorated and not overly loud.

Best sushi I have found since moving from Edmond! I have not had anything I didn't love here.

This place is fantastic. The food is fresh and full of flavor. Poke bowl was excellent. Don't pass this place up. It is a must if your in the Norman area.

Great attentive customer service, clean table and utensils. Green tea is absolutely delicious. Tried quite a few sashimi and special rolls. Totally worth the price. Salmon sashimi was like butter and jalapeño yellow tail sashimi appetizer was so tasty. Recommend baked mussels, sweet and savory. Everything had a special sauce on it that pairs well, rolls weren't just stuffed with rice. Would come back.

This place is amazing, had a horrible experience at a different restaurant so we decided to try Ichiban. They saved our night, the food was sooo good, service was fast and they were very friendly and welcoming. They even gave us the pineapple dessert to try and it was so good!!!!! Highly recommend, they deserve the chance!

We went there for lunch time and I love the food and customer service. My husband ordered Poke, I ordered lunch sushi and both were wonderful. We will go there again soon!!

Fantastic food!! Just like the one in OKC. Great service. Goyza dumplings and Calamari were hot!! The only thing was my spicy crab salad wasn't as spicy as in OKC. One of my new favorite places to eat!

I have finally found THE spot in Norman for sushi. The staff is super nice and we got gifted a free pineapple dish towards the end of our meal. Very kind and generous of the restaurant. Everything tastes great and the service is welcoming and felt appreciated to be in their establishment. Consider me a future regular now. Loved the design and atmosphere.

So so good and well priced. We got regular and special sushi rolls along with crab Rangoon. Delicious!

Fantastic!! The food was so delicious and had beautiful presentation. Definitely the new best sushi place in the Moore/Norman region. The staff was so friendly and it was overall just super enjoyable. I think it's much better than Volcano's Sushi Bar and I've been loyal to them for some 3 years now. The environment is also so beautiful. Very very good, I will be back very soon!

Incredible sushi!! I ordered online takeout because I was staying alone in a hotel nearby. It was ready really fast. The restaurant looked so bright, clean, and modern. I was a little sad I wasn't eating there. I'm a lazy reviewer and usually just read reviews and don't write many. I ran back to Yelp for this one. I'm not even done eating this delicious take out. 10/10 highly recommend.
