"After working in a kappo restaurant in Tokyo, Japan and as the head chef of a famous sushiya in Singapore, Chef Eno opened her own fine-dining concept in 2020. One of the two 9-course dinner menus need to be pre-ordered 4 days ahead. Most ingredients are flown in from Japan, including some exclusive ones not found elsewhere, such as Miwa somen and Iga beef. Chef Akane is very passionate about food and it shows in her many amazing creations. We really enjoyed the dining experience in her restaurant. It's fine dining and yet feels intimate and homey at the same time. We especially love the special, 1-night only menus that chef Akane puts together every season to showcase the special ingredients of that season. Those are really unique dining experiences that are very hard to find anywhere else.

Chef Akane Eno’s kappo restaurant represents fine dining in a warm, value-for-money setting. The food is exquisite and I appreciate the variety of dishes. You can feel the chef’s sincerity in each dish, and I especially appreciate the chawanmushi with grilled tomato.

A real gem and extremely underrated, Chef Akane and team always exercises finesse in putting together super well-balanced flavours and textures of Japanese cuisine that REALLY HIT THE SPOT using really high quality ingredients. There are only a handful of restaurants in town which make me want to go back and taste their dishes again during the different seasons to experience the chef's unique creations, and Ichigo Ichie is one of them. There's always a couple of standout dishes each evening that make every diner at the counter have an expression change with their eyes closed for a few moments to process how good the dish was 😂 It's also really interesting to try the different produce chef sources from local farms, craft beer / sake / umeshu that chef personally and passionately selects or creates herself!

Very good set meal but the quality is slightly behind other places of the same price range. The best dish of the set of shrimp with shoumen. Other dishes like sashimi were good but tastes...predictable. The main dish is wagyu with truffle, which, tastes like the similar dish in other places, oily beef with tasteless truffle, a bit too rich without rice or alchahol ton swallow. The donabe rice, thought tasty, wasn't the al dente texture I liked. Their specialty hojicha tea and ice cream were excellent and quite unique. I wish their other dishes were of the same quality.

Food is very fresh and delicious. Female Japanese chef has very high standards and creates omakase dishes which are feast for both your eyes and taste buds. A small authentic Japanese restaurant with around 10-15seats. Chef, service and food is great but slightly on the expensive range. Given their food is really fresh, it is worth giving it a try.

Understanding Japanese culture through food brought in from different parts of Japan during this season. For example, Beni Madonna (orange), is from Ehime Ken which is one of best Japanese farmers have created. There are other dishes which also let us learn something & enjoy the food. Nice ceramics from Kyushu. Great sake selection. Chef Akane & her team work hard to bring the best. An enjoyable dinner with friends in the cozy restaurant.
