Everything is exceptional, literally every single detail. From the stone paved entrance, to the service (we don't speak Japanese and none of the staff/chef speak any English), the food of course is beautiful, and even the containers (lack of a better word) that hold the food are all carefully thought out. A must visit for anyone that not only loves food, but also to savour every bite, to ponder upon the reason that the dish is prepared and presented in such a way. Eg. shreds of crab coated with vinegar in a form of jelly, genius I would say, imagine that vs crab dipped in vinegar? And everything is seasonal so if we go during summer (we went during mid Jan) everything will be entirely different. All of this doesn't come cheap though, ours was 20000 yen per head (another option is 12000 yen) plus 10% service charge, plus tax. The place is not easy to find, we took a taxi from the hotel (we stayed at Shinjuku). Will visit again next time.
