Great food, prompt service, cool restaurant, good music (but too loud, I don’t like to shout while I eat!). We got the guacamole (fantastic chips) which was nummy, Queso Fundido, also delish, so-so (expensive) coffee, to start, then the Iconos breakfast (scrambled eggs, with bacon, fried potatoes, French toast, all OK) and the Chilaquiles Nobles with skirt steak, which was very good. 4.7 overall, knocking off a bit for the LOUD music….it’s too much for brunch, wait ‘til the sun goes down…..

Showed up for happy hour on Sunday. It started at 1:00 p.m. they had a DJ who is mixing decent music, but it was considerably too loud for the speaker system to handle with lots of crackling. When the DJ was done, the atmosphere became a little bit more pleasant and easier to take in without all the noise. All in all a favorable experience

I’m not sure why the place is rated so low as this place was a vibe! I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while and decided to go yesterday. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Auga Chile and the Tinga tacos. My partner ordered the quesadilla. The food arrived very quickly and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. The food was really good as well. Literally top tier for the price point. I would absolutely return. It’s open late on weekends and ample seating throughout the area. Also the presentation was impeccable from the drinks to the food.

I had a great first dining experience here yesterday, and will be going back for sure! Great service, food and such a chill atmosphere. The chips/guac/salsa was so great as well as the birria tacos we had! Also the Hibiscus mocktail was one of the best mocktails I have ever had!

Omg. Food was amazing. Everything tasted so good. The mimosas were a little strong, but added extra juice and it was great.

Google
- customer service left much to be desired - incredible food - quite expensive - vibey atmosphere overall, i’d only recommend this place if u don’t care about cost. make sure to double check ur order with your server tho. experience: went on a sunday night so it was quite empty. you’d think this means attentive and quick service but the server missed one of our food orders and never refilled my partner’s water (he just had my water so it was okay). food took a while but I’m choosing to assume this is owing to the food being freshly made cos we were one of very few tables. when I asked about my other food order, the server just quickly nodded without addressing anything. I almost complained but then the server immediately brought the bill and I was shocked at 1 taco order and a cocktail being $45. I should’ve paid closer attention to the price but the server issue aside, the food and restaurants overall vibe was amazing so i’m not mad, just annoyed lol. I ordered al pastor tacos and an al coco no—very fresh and tasty so full recommendation on that end. the al pastor is perfect to share for two if avoiding being overstuffed is a concern. atmosphere is so vibey with solid music. kinda irrelevant but i found it amusing how despite being a mexican restaurant with mexican icons referenced on the menu, they played mostly reggaeton. not complaining tho.

Google
It was my first time at the restaurant and the place looks nice. We order different plates and we agree all was tasty .. I think it’s a little pricey but me and my bf share a cielo mar y Tierra fajitas and it was good. The think I didn’t like was the queso fundido it wasn’t what I expected.

Food was good. Great atmosphere! Service was really slow, could be better. Waited approx 20 mins for a drink.

Yelp
Girls night at Iconos didn't disappoint! Parking can be found in the back lot which was reasonable and side street if you come upon it. Ambiance 5/5 Photo worthy ambiance with fluorescent red lighting upon entering. Latin themed décor, spacious place with tables, booths and plenty of bar space. Lots of big screens with sports and what not. Our bar mate had access to the remote, watched Planet of the apps with no captions. lol Service 5/5 Victor and staff was great, they were attentive, funny, and provided great suggestions. Food/ Drinks 5/5 Be warned: The pour is long on the drinks! Elotes came in pairs to my surprise and a side of tajin for my liking. Expect sharable portions, strong tasty drinks, great patrons, music, and great service! The bone marrow was interesting taste and my friend did have some stomach rumblings after eating the Shrimp Ceviche: she suspects it might've been raw shrimps. Outside of that, she had a great time. Elotes $14 | Shrimp Ceviche $18 | Carne Asada $28 Drinks: Prince $13 | Al Coco No $16 | Mangonada $15 Overall 5/5 We had a time! lol

Yelp
The food was great! The queso was delicious and it was thick and gooey. The birria taco was good and the cheese pull was on point. The beef steak taco with the bone marrow was delicious. The fajita was amazing! I love that it comes in different kinds of meat so you can really make your own fajita. The service was good. We got a big water jug. The vibe within the restaurant was nice. It was loud but not too loud, so having a conversation is still good.

Yelp
I love iconos-this place has such a fun vibe: great reggaeton music, great food/cocktails and friendly staff. If you are looking to have a night out in uptown this is a solid place to start or even end...they are open until 1am Friday-Sunday. Their birria tacos are delicious and I love the accompaniments that come with it, especially the consome/charred veggies. Pro move: get a cocktail on the menu with mezcal!

Yelp
I am SHOCKED that this place doesn't have 7,000 five-star reviews. I cannot imagine a world in which someone eats here and doesn't give it five stars. I came here with three of my friends and all of us were mesmerized by how good the food was. So much so, that we would've gatekept it completely if it weren't for me and my little Yelp reviews! We ended up here on our way to a different cantina, but decided to stay because we liked the vibe. It was late, and they had the right mood lighting. We also figured that we couldn't go wrong with a cantina of any type. Turns out we were right. I ordered a Prince Margarita and "The Burger." The Margarita was good, but the Burger was great and don't even get me started on the fries. I realize that it's ridiculous how much I love potatoes, but it means I'm a connoisseur and I was drooling over the Iconos fries. They're a must have in my opinion. Our bartenders were friendly, the vibe was relaxing, the restaurant was beautiful, and the food was unreal. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I seriously cannot wait to come back for brunch and a margarita flight.

Yelp
Have been here for both dinner and weekend brunch and service has always been a hit along with the food. Drinks are strong and mighty delicious/fun.

Yelp
(Last visited 4/16/2022.) Hanging out in Minneapolis for the weekend with some friends and YOU KNOW WE BRUNCH ON THE WEEKENDS! Lol. Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: So we found this place right in Uptown on Lyndale. It's a "downtown" like setting so you'll have to find a spot on the street or a nearby structure to put your car. The outside isn't much to look at, but inside is VERY different. The interior feels modern, chic, up-to-date and it definitely has a Mexican flare. There are murals on the walls, big windows for lot of natural light and a beautifully decorated bar. The atmosphere was lively and whenever there was a birthday in the house they brought this adorable like, wooden house with churros and a sparkler. Just say it's your birthday so that you can experience this for yourself. Lol. Food: We are here for the bottomless mimosas! They come in carafes that you pour yourself. They were pretty good and not super-juicy like some places like to do. I honestly can't remember that I ordered and well, that may be indicative of me either drinking too much... or... the food wasn't memorable. Oh well. Lol. Value: It's a decent Mexican spot so things usually aren't too pricey. You don't need the big bucks, but you still have to pay to play, especially if you're drinking bottomless mimosas! In conclusion, despite the food not being memorable, this place was just fine. I wouldn't just pop up and crave coming here, but for brunch... DEFINITELY at the top of my list. Mexican food is like instant hangover recovery food so eating it WHILE drinking is like a cheat code! Lol.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great at Iconos! Such a fun place to go with a great vibe. The Birria tacos were amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting and we had a reservation. I highly recommend since it was busy for a Tuesday! For parking there's parking behind the restaurant but you have to pay otherwise I recommend the street behind the restaurant since it's free and it's not far of a walk. I recommend the margarita flight! It was delicious and it comes out with a presentation of sparklers! They definitely made it fun! I got the quesadillas and it was absolutely delicious! I love the beans that also came with it. Last we got churros for dessert and honestly the dipping sauce was disappointing. I've had better churros. Overall recommend their food and I want to come back for their brunch!

Yelp
I went to Iconos Gastros Cantina for dinner and drinks with a friend and we had a very nice time! The food was very good and had a unique twist to all the items we ordered. The guac came with regular tortilla chips as well as chicharron and plantains, which was different from a usual Mexican restaurant! The Tinga tacos were delicious and I wish it came with more than 2 because I could have had another one! I also tried the Al Coco No margarita and it made me feel like I was on a beach sipping a pina colada. The service was also good, they stopped by occasionally to ask if we needed stuff but was not overbearing. It was very dark and picturesque in the restaurant overall and definitely a cute spot to have dinner or drinks!

Yelp
We chose Iconos to celebrate our anniversary and we were so pumped for our reservation today! Walking in I knew it was going to be good. The decor is phenomenal and they play loud upbeat Spanish music throughout the cantina. The Margarita flight was calling my name -- it was super interesting, flavors I haven't tried before and was pleasantly surprised. My favorite was the Don Chente! We also ordered their mangonada which was EXCELLENT. We tried their nachos with Birria, these were also superb. The plate came out super fast and the ingredients were so fresh and hot. 10/10 for sure! On food and ambiance alone, this place is absolutely 5 stars. We were really surprised by the speed and attentiveness of the server, considering it wasn't super busy. I would be willing to give this place another try, as maybe they were just having an off night. Their drink menu is so extensive it was hard to choose! Plenty of paid parking in the lot behind the restaurant, easy to find, and we were seated right away.

Yelp
Hey Travoodies Hey! I ventured over to Iconos Gastro Cantina today, and boy was I amazed let's talk about. The vibe in this place is absolutely amazing. The decor just equally beautiful. I was a little rushed, but I understood it because the kitchen was about to close at three and I did arrive late but I still receive adequate service and they definitely was very attentive. What I ordered: I definitely went for the margarita flights. They look good to me on some of the pictures that I have seen. so, I wanted try them out. When they came out I was just wowed. The flight comes with a sparkly attached to it so it makes you feel so sophisticated or important. I wasn't to particular of the lavender margarita but the other was quite tasty. On Sundays they serve brunch until 3p, so I went with the Carnitas tacos. You get two of them and when I tell you that they are absolutely amazing. The pork was so tasty and juicy. I should've ordered some more. I can't wait to go back on days where I can actually spend time, enjoy the vibe and connect with some other people because they were super friendly. If I have to give this place a rating it's definitely gonna be 10/10!! ********************************************************** DM to join my Exclusicely Foodie or Traveler Group. Yelp
I love going to Iconos! This is the perfect place to bring friends for a chill (or wild) brunch! The food is great! I've had the eggs Benedict, chilaquiles, and Iconos breakfast platter. The Benedict was a pleasant twist on the classics breakfast meal. The carnitas added a great savory flavor and the masa cake is a great substitute for the English muffin. Chilaquiles are not too spicy so if you're afraid of spicy bit like flavor, it's a great meal! THEIR DRINKS ARE AMAZING! My favorite is their pina colada but also loved their margarita flight. If you go for bunch they do offer bottomless mimosas that are refilled as your pitcher runs low. Parking is tough...I suggest arriving before the brunch rush or between 3-4 as they transition into dinner. OR Uber/Lyft since the drinks are pretty spectacular and you'll probably have more than one Music can be loud so if you are sensitive to loud music or are looking for a place to have conversations, maybe consider elsewhere. If you're looking for a great food, awesome drinks, lively upbeat Latin/pop tracks to vibe to, this is definitely your spot!! Ps. Not the cheapest place, do anticipate spending about 50 a person ( food and drinks)

Yelp
Iconos Gastro Cantina instagram: @xcyanneats Margaritas Flag I'm sorry, I forgot the one with the mango lollipop because the waitress said they changed it to something else just recently, Prince, and Don Chente All was good, but the Don Chente had a strong smoky flavor aftertaste which isn't my favorite. The mango lollipop was super good, and having the lollipop at the end as a treat was delicious. My personal favorite was Purple, I love the lavender and butterfly pea tea combo. All was very refreshing. The Burger, the literal name hahha I really enjoyed this. It's super juicy, and the cheese is soooo good as well. If you're wondering, Oaxaca Cheese. Although this was my boyfriend's dish. I had to ask for bites here and there because it was super good. Cielo Mar Tierra Fajitas I love the plating for this. All the diffeeent type of meat was tasty in its own way, and had flavors burst every bite. The green sauce that was drizzled on top was good, but I wish they had more on the side because it wasn't enough. I definitely did ask for spicy sauce, and it was alright. Food and drinks were good, but what threw me off was service. Waitress was informational when asked, no check ins when food arrived, and it took pretty long to get our check and even check out. It was a pretty slow day if they were able to have full conversations and be on their phones, but what do I know, right? Food 3/5 Service 1/5

Yelp
Great food , great DJ , great serves and the drinks were both beautiful and tasty Just go you will be amazed !

Yelp
They have a bunch of new food/cocktails available. The dynamic duo of Chef Ivan & Daniel Torres is fantastic. The innovative dishes and cocktails they create are always enjoyable. I am not just a fan of this spot because of the food/drinks, but also the atmosphere and camaraderie from the staff. You feel like you are with friends & family when dining here. It's always fun. Torta Ahogada - House made pork carnitas, grill chihuahua cheese, salsa verde, crema, cheese and nopales salad. Sopa De Tamal- House made sopa w/ a red tamal pork, crema and cheese. Pájara Coquito - House-made coquito, rum blend, mazapán, spices, & blue cotton candy. This one does contain dairy & nuts. Trompo Al Pastor - House made al pastor pork, cilantro, onions, & limes, w/ two sides of salsa and tortillas. Invierno Sin Ti - Chamomile pear infused gin, yellow Chartreuse, Lillet Blanc, egg white, lemon, & Mica powder. Luna Dorada - Bourbon, Drambuie, Bruto Americano, sweet vermouth, & bitters. Candela - Toasted canela Infused mezcal, elote liquor, Ancho Reyes Rojo, Hibiscus, & lime Flan El Abuelo - Strawberries, whipped cream, on flan & topped w/ house made cotton candy. Abuelita Tres Leches - house made sponge cake, chocolate Abuelita tres leches, strawberry sauce, & whipped cream. If you like wine they currently have two awesome Spanish wines for the season. La Posta Tinto (Red Blend) & Casa Magoni (Sanigovese Cabernet). I know that I am going to be finding the La Pota Tinto to purchase for home, because I really enjoyed it! Pro tip- they have a large parking lot in back - you have to pay for it just like street parking, but wel worth the space and easy access. You can access it off lake street next to the old Fuji ya or on the one way behind it.

Yelp
My favorite New Mexican restaurant of all time! Such an amazing atmosphere with such fun drinks and huge menu including a large brunch menu I cannot wait to check out. I had the coolest jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp that the presentation was unbeatable. The Margarita flight I had was beautiful and so tasty and the churro dessert with flaming churro cart was so fun! I cannot wait to check out more of their menu! Love the restaurants story about the experience they are trying to accomplish which was proven true for me- "Iconos, brings a unique Latin American Gastronomy rooted and flavorful creativity, ingenuity and passion. When guests come to dine at ICONOS! They will be transported to a world that creates an exceptional experience for everyone-whether it's the chance to try a unique Latin American dish with a twist, enjoy a memorable night out with friends, or celebrate over delicious cocktails in a lively atmosphere filled with vibrant Latin American-inspired design elements."

Yelp
This place is a vibe! The ambiance is fun. I was there for HH with a friend, but could totally see this as a perfect spot for a birthday celebration. I was having fun celebrating life! I ordered the margarita flag. Which is a margarita flight of the three most popular margaritas. I didn't expect it to come with a sparkler. Such a fun presentation! A fun way to sample these drinks. I would order a full size of either of them. I almost did, but decided to try the mangonada instead. Yummy frozen mango margarita. Though a bit slow, the server was friendly and made good recommendations. The yuca fries were good. The birra tacos were decent. My friend had the shrimp Diablo. It was served in a pineapple. The shrimp were large and plentiful. There's metered street parking and a metered lot behind the restaurant. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and food. Everything we ordered was delicious. They also have really cool instagramable drinks. Service was a tad slow, we waited some time for the server to take our order but the food came out pretty quick.

Yelp
Food was very good. It's a new modern way of presentation of Mexican cuisine. I absolutely love my drink. Our waitress was pleasant. Kinda high on price but good new experience.

Yelp
Really good food, tasty fun drinks, and a super fun atmosphere! Iconos is such a fun place to go for a celebration or when you want to have an upbeat good time. The staff were all very nice and friendly, and service was prompt. I tried a selection of salsas with chips and The Burger. The salsas were all great - highly recommend the pumpkin seed salsa! It was creamy and super flavorful. The chips were ok - not the best chips I've had and the portion seemed a little small compared to the amount of salsas. The Burger blew me away! It was cooked really well and so so tasty with the Oaxaca cheese, salsa verde, and grilled onions! The yuca fries were cooked well too - crispy not greasy. I ordered the Margarita Flag flight which had 3 mini versions of their signature margs. I was really pleasantly surprised by the Prince margarita which is lavender flavored and just was a well balanced interesting drink. The Don Chente with mango syrup was good too, although a little on the syrupy sweet side. The Frida (which I thought would be my favorite because I love mezcal) was a little disappointing - it was also pretty sweet and that overpowered the mezcal. My 2 main complaints with the margaritas are that they were all a bit too sweet and I don't think there was much alcohol in them - they overall needed better balance.

Yelp
The food and drinks were good but our server was rude and snarky. If the she was kind this would easily be a higher rating. I would try this spot again in hopes of getting a nicer server. Be aware that there is auto gratuity, even if the service is not great.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Stopped for a few margaritas and I was stuck on the prince now I am hooked on the bob marley drink. The staff again I give them 10s across the board. I recommend Iconos Gastro Cantina to everyone stop in and take pics the aesthetics are dope as well!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
The presentation of the food was amazing. Just as good as the taste! Also, the vibe of this place was street like but neon signs and unique artwork all around. Great place for an adult birthday and or special occasion. Not too big so I was surprised when the service took a while to get to us. It wasn't a prolonged time frame but just enough to ask where our food was.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
The food, drinks, service, and music were all excellent. 5/5. We will definitely be back. Try the fajitas again. Mezcal margarita.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Would definitely go back for the food 5/5.. we only got to try the margarita flight and so far we give it a 3/5 it wasn't the best but not the worst. It was way to sweet, the vibe was everything! When they bring your drinks out it's like your bday. It was soo cool..

Yelp
AYYYY! What an amazing twist to Mexican food and drinks. Ambiance is set just right for this place from the lights, the decor to the music. Customer service was great 9/10. Started off with guacamole and queso fundido, but ran out of chips half way thru the bowl on both just wish there was a-little bit more chips on the plates... For the Drinks and entrées this is what we ordered: Madonna Tequila Blanco, Green Cartreuse, Grapefruit juice, Agave and Lime. 8/10 El Jarrito Tequila Blanco, Agave, Lime and jarritos (mandarín) 10/10 La Bichota Blue Curacao, Vodka, Tequila, Lemon, Maracuyá, Glitter edible and Cotton Candy. 8/10 Margarita Flight 3 mini versions of their margaritas (Frida, Prince, Don Chente) 7/10 *strong flavors Oro Verde Guacamole Vegetariano, Gluten Free. Avocado from Mexico, onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, served with house made chips, chicharrón, plantains and salsa Mexicana. Very fresh. 8/10 Queso Fundido Gluten Free. Melted Oaxaca cheese fondue, Mexican chorizo, salsa mexicana, house made chips. 9/10 Camaron Tacos Beer butter red Argentinean shrimp, tamarindo glaze, cabbage, house made chipotle mayo, cilantro. 9/10 (some what sweet) Campechano Tacos Al pastor chicken, chorizo, nopales, onions, cilantro, jalapeño salsa. 8/10 (great Combo) Birria Tacos Gluten free. Yelp
Our go to Mexican spot! Located conveniently off Lake and Lyndale, this place has gas food and drinks. We love the barria tacos, carne asada tacos, burrito, nachos, guac, margaritas, and pina colada. Service has always been on point for us. There is a lot of prince themed stuff here. Moder vibes, lots of fun neon signs.
google avatar

Yelp
Super fun cocktails including margarita flights. Great food with a changing menu. Very sweet staff. Lots of seating including tables and a bar area. The parking...well...it's uptown. But there is a paid parking lot next door which is helpful!
google avatar

Daquynh N.

Yelp
I called multiple restaurants to try to reserve for 15 people on a Saturday. Only Iconos Gastro Cantina had flexible time and space to accommodate our party. Parking was tricky but it was not bad. The drinks were pretty fun with cotton candy! My friends had a bird one and the other had a golden colada with lots of cotton candy. Our party ordered various dishes to try from nachos libre to elotes(2 huge real corn on a cob), fried yucas, tacos, fajitas, and much more. everything was packed with flavor. my favorite would be the elotes because they gave us a knife to cut the corn and share with others. If you want to celebrate birthday or special occasion, this place is popping! they would put desserts like cake on a mini cart and bring it with fire candles to your table. The whole place would be filled with "happy birthday" music! It's a fun thing to witness. There's an Instagram area at the entrance with pink lights!

Yelp
The definition of style over substance...if the food wasn't average I'd give this place 1 star. Slow slow service, after being seated we were given our waters...they were never refilled. 15 minutes later we placed our drink orders. My wife and I each got a margarita while the other couple got a margarita and a glass of wine. 10 minutes later we got our margaritas...it took another 5 for the glass of wine(apparently they had to stomp the grapes). When the glass of wine showed up we ordered our meals, 2 burritos, a plate of enchiladas(WITH A SIDE OF RICE), and a plate of flautas. Another 15 minutes and we place another drink order for 2 margarita flights, another glass of wine and a water refill. 15 minutes later the flights show up with burning fireworks(best part of the meal). As my wife pulled the flight over to her the board stuck on the table spilling half of 2 of the margaritas(the flight was replaced by server(2nd best part of the meal)...we were never provided anything to tidy up the table. Then the food started to show up...first my wife's burrito and my enchiladas( no rice)...we were half done when the other burrito showed up and we were told there were no flautas. So nachos were ordered instead. The first two meals were finished and the 3rd almost finished when the 2nd glass of wine showed up with the nachos AND MY RICE(WHITE RICE? WTH?) With all the food and drinks gone we sat and chatted for another 15 minutes waiting for the check. I wouldn't recommend visiting unless it was for drinks and apps. We were there for over 2 hours for an extremely loud and pretty lackluster meal out, but the fireworks flights were cool.

Mark B.

Yelp
Loved, food, drinks and ambient of the place, How ever I was not pleased when I got charged a gratuity up front of 18% for just two of us, I understand if it's a party of 5 or more but for just 2 of us? Not cool. I think that we as the consumer should decide how much we should tip according to the service we got.

Yelp
Awesome, friendly service! Seriously good, yet playful menu. Fun environment! Will be back!

Yelp
Yum yum yum!!!! The Birria tacos were to die for. The Birria broth was crazy flavorful and really brought together the whole dish. The meat was perfectly cooked as well as the tortilla and the cheese. Overall this was such an amazing dish and I cannot wait to go back and have it again. The ceviche was also super delicious. It seemed like the sauce was a creamier base than I am use to but it all worked together super well. If you're looking for an upscale Mexican restaurant this is definitely the place to go!!!!

Yelp
I've been coming to this place since they opened in the fall of 2021. I have already tried every margarita on their menu and they're very tasty! Plus, they have great presentation. My favorite is Prince, a lavender margarita. I even decided to have my birthday brunch at their location to try out that menu, my favorite is the Iconos Breakfast which comes with papas con rajas, huevos a la mexicana, chorizo and pancakes. It was a lot of my friends first time there, so I ordered the cantarito which served 8 of us with more than 3 drinks each. We couldn't finish it. That costs $160. I would say it would best serve a party of 12 giving each person 4 drinks out of it. Also, it tastes great! For their dinner menu, I've only ordered the birria tacos which are ALWAYS a good idea in my book. They're SO good. You can taste the great quality in these birria tacos. Price is $16 for 3 tacos and dipping broth.

Yelp
Perhaps some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The steak taco is one of a kind. Served with a bone marrow that is still on the bone, it is juicy and flavorful. The brunch is also pretty good. I always get the Chilaquiles Diabla . It has a lot of flavor and pairs really well with the passion fruit mimosa. Definitely a hidden gem in Uptown.

Yelp
If you're looking for tacos or other Mexican food in Uptown, Iconos is your place to go! There are some other Mexican restaurants nearby, but Iconos is the clear winner regarding service and food quality! I bellied up to the bar with a couple of friends for dinner and a couple of drinks. The waitstaff and bartender were very friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. We all shared bites from each other's plates, and TBH I had order envy even tho mine was very delicious. I'd recommend the house margarita as it is simple and delicious - just the right amount of sweet and sour. The chips and dips are a great starter, and the tacos are packed full of flavor. I'm looking forward to going back to explore more of the menu soon!

Yelp
Daniela was not the greatest server. We had to wait so long to get serviced, while it was not busy or a full house our server would walk pass us many times without asking if we needed anything. Or waters went unfilled for the entire time. Follow up on the food wasn't given. We noticed that she served the other tables which were in front of our or behind ours again leaving us to not be served properly we felt unwelcome which didn't leave us comfortable to finish our food. The food was decent but presentation definitely upsold the food. The food was or overwhelming by being smothering with so many onions that we barely was able to see the food we actually wanted to eat such as the gauc it had way too many onions and not enough gauc. We also order fajitas which again had way to many onions, green peppers and red peppers and not enough meat. Also the description with the gauc bowl says plantains but it's specific to say plantain chips that was a disappointment because we were expecting soft fried plantains cut at an angle not chips. Overall the restaurant is beautiful but the customer service needs to match the atmosphere and the presentation of the food.

Yelp
Muy rico! Best carnitas I've had outside of Mexico City. Birria, queso fundido, tacos--all first rate. Nice atmosphere. Good music. Full bar with lots of great options--beers, margaritas, and (everything from rail to sky's the limit) tequilas. Kids had churros and those were great too. Hard working, friendly staff.

Yelp
Delicious food, really cool ambiance and great service! They do a birthday spectacle with a sparkler and HBD played loudly over the speakers. There were probably four birthdays during our dinner, which was fun to see. Several drinks and plates are presented with the sparkler, which is pretty fun. The margarita flight was delicious and spicy! All the tacos are great here. The Camarones de Diablo platter was presented beautifully and so delicious. It's a fun place with sweet, spicy and delicious cocktails and margaritas. Would definitely dine here again.

Yelp
Moved here from Texas and this is one of two places I've tried here that actually has good Mexican food. Great ambiance but can get a little loud. But worth it. Service was a bit slow.

Yelp
There's a lot of great Mexican restaurants in the twin cities but unfortunately in my opinion this is not one of them. The food was pretty bland and felt overpriced for what it is. Also the "roasted vegetables" in my quesadilla were clearly completely raw. Chewing on raw zucchini when you bite into a quesadilla is pretty unpleasant. The salsa was also very bland there was no spice whatsoever. I'll say that we didn't order any drinks and people seem to really love those so maybe if we had we would've been impressed. Beyond the food the vibe was just ... off. When we got there the waiter seated us at a high top table which faced a wall that had like spotlight-like lights that unfortunately shine directly into your eyes at an angle that is basically blinding. Shortly before we left they dimmed the lights so maybe it was just a mistake and isn't usually like that but it meant that we spent most of the meal with me having to look to the side instead of at the person I was with because it hurt my eyes to look straight ahead. We asked if we could move tables but our waiter told us no despite the fact that there was like basically no one else there? Then when we were leaving they were like rushing us out and trying to take my plate multiple times while I was actively trying to box up my food (idk why I even bothered I'm probably not gonna eat it) and like trying to get us to move our stuff off the table so they could clean it while we were waiting to get our credit card back despite the fact that ... again there was like no one there and it wasn't close to the end of the night so what was the point of rushing us?

Yelp
The aesthetic, music, and decor was definitely a vibe! We came as a large group for a birthday brunch and enjoyed it very much. The brunch menu offered a wide variety of dishes that can be split between friends to try. Pictured is the Iconos Breakfast and the iconic french toast is definitely a MUST! Staff were attentive and really kind to us. We were a pretty large crowd and staff were really kind. They even sang happy birthday for my Brother's Girlfriend. Definitely going to come back to try the dinner menu!

Yelp
The food I tried the Iconos Breakfast which was delicious. I loved their French toast and you should definitely try it. If you get the chips, get the 6 salsas. They are delicious and unique. The drinks The margaritas were definitely worth it! I highly recommend it if you have not tried their drinks before. The menu This was my first time trying their brunch menu. I was kind of annoyed that they did not serve their normal menu until 3 pm. The environment They had a live DJ that made it impossible for us to talk to each other or to the server... It was so incredibly loud! Parking There's is parking behind the establishment. It's fairly affordable and right next to the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here a couple times on a Sunday for lunch and they had a dj which was awesome. Service was great and I was impressed the food came out pretty quick for our large group. Hey have some super pretty cocktails too

Yelp
UNBELIEVABLY GOOD Walking into Yunior Romero playing Careless Whisper on the Sax immediately set the vibe. We ordered the guac and Queso fundido to start and both were equally delicious! I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos (recommended by our waitress)) with Consome on the side. HIGHLY recommend. The steak was juicy and tender and all of the accompanying sides were perfect The skirt steak on the Churrasco dish was phenomenal. If you want a lot of food the chimichanga was good but not the star of the show. The rice was a little undercooked. Overall the food was authentically delicious and the presentation and vibes are 10/10.

Yelp
Back for round 2 for a friend's birthday celebration! Wasn't the best meal of my life or comparable to the first visit here, BUT it was still pretty dang good and better than most Mexican around the cities. I also made the mistake of ordering a shrimp quesadilla vs. the birria taco, which would've been undeniably amazing. Service was slower than the norm but the churro cart made it worth it and was such a cute and delicious addition to the night!

Yelp
This started out wrong! Finding out that this used to be one of my favorite meat places, now a casualty of Covid...or vegans...this is in it's spot! Just walking in here bummed me out, I miss whatever that place was called...shit I can't remember...anyways! I'm now OK with it! This is a little higher end feel for Mexican food but then again I love Mexican food so maybe it just smelled and looked good when I walked in. Had a nice margarita, no salt...there was salt, but it was ok.. Food, that was pretty spot on. I had a way above average shrimp Quesadillas! super fresh tortilla, good amount of nice fresh shrimp, good amount of cheese and just plain old fresh! Came with a nice fresh avocado, good salsa..everything was spot on! I will definitely come back again. Both for the good memories I have from the old spot, and of course for the great food! Well worth the stop! KT

Yelp
We got carry out from Iconos, including birria and tinga tacos, and all I can say is it's amazingly good food. Fresh, perfect flavor balance, a perfect infusion of "heat" and different flavor zones, and all so beautifully presented, right down to the fresh veggie garnish on the plate, which was practically sculptured, and so crisp and good. We'd never tried Iconos before, but our daughter told us it was some of the best food in Minneapolis. She was so right. Can't really rate the service since we got carry out, except to say that everyone there seemed super nice and helpful.

Yelp
I was looking for a new spot in uptown and I definitely found it! I love this place, I don't even like margaritas what is margaritas are so good and the food is delicious! We only thing I didn't like was the fact that they don't carry the same chicken wings that they have on their photos and I didn't care for them but the Barrias tacos are so good and they give you very big portions, I can't wait to come back here.
