This is our 3rd visit to Icy Juicy. We first discovered it maybe 5-6 years ago., before we became parents. We ate dinner in a restaurant in the same complex, but came in for dessert--delicious honey toast and a mango snow ice. We saw the server bring out a sizzling steak plate to another table. Since we didn't have a local place that served sizzling steak anymore, we knew we'd be coming back for dinner on our next trip to Las Vegas.
The 2nd time we came in, we ordered the sizzling juicy steak plate with mushroom sauce. It's at least 13 oz. of ribeye cooked to order on a bed of onions, pasta, your choice of mushroom sauce or black pepper sauce, and an egg on top. Delicious. This time, we brought our daughter who must've been 2-3 years old. The owner liked her antics so much, he surprised her with a little bowl of ice cream and sprinkles which she happily devoured.
Which brings us to this latest visit. We were in town to show my parents around Las Vegas. Last night was our only night on our own, so we made a beeline here for sizzling steaks, possibly dessert if we had room. There was no room for dessert. I couldn't even finish my food, but that meant I had leftovers for breakfast.
One especially pleasant part of our latest visit was our server Wi gi (forgive me if I misspelled it, He didn't have a name tag, and I didn't ask how to spell it). He was very hospitable and personable. We found out that he was studying hospitality at UNLV. He spoke fluent Taiwanese, English, and Spanish. With his engaging conversational skills, he made long waits seem short.
I highly recommend this place to gather with friends or family, for meals, dessert, or light refreshments. We will definitely be back.
