How FB Society Is Developing Some of DFW’s Most Successful Restaurants | Eater Dallas

"A popular Southern comfort–food spot located in Addison with a second location in San Antonio, this restaurant occupies a tucked-away, 'if you know, you know' niche. The dinner menu is playfully labeled “supper,” signature items include fried chicken and Gulf shrimp and grits, and bartenders run “vinyl hours” playing only records. The dining room channels communal, home-cooked energy akin to a nostalgic local chain but with elevated, accessible food; whimsical touches like an appetizer sampler served on a lazy Susan add to the character. After increased involvement from leadership, menus were refined to feature more fresh vegetables and seasonal sourcing, and most seafood is sourced from the Gulf with select Atlantic items. Gibbons observes that the staff often feel like a curated fit for the brand — people with colored hair, piercings, tattoos, and an independent, maverick streak — a cultural match that helps define the restaurant’s personality." - Courtney E. Smith

Brunch at Ida Claire was a great experience and much better than a previous dinner visit I had. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon, but we were seated shortly after checking in and greeted promptly by our server, Zach, who was very knowledgeable and gave great menu recommendations. The food was really good. The steak and eggs were well cooked and seasoned, the grits were creamy with goat cheese, and the sunny side eggs were done perfectly. The blueberry biscuit was a standout and honestly took me back home. I also tried the Hangover Cure since I love coconut water. It was fresh and delicious, though a little sweet for my taste. Service was efficient, the restaurant was clean, and the music was at a comfortable volume. Overall, a solid brunch spot and one I would recommend.

We came here based on Google reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. Our server Steven was helpful and accommodating. Answered all of our questions and provided excellent service. The chicken and waffles were a highlight. Soft and fluffy waffles, perfectly cooked chicken, and great portion size, almost too big, but that didn’t stop me from finishing it. The Benedict was also a highlight being served on their homemade biscuits. The French press coffee was a bit weak but Steven came up with another recommendation that was even better. It gets busy so come early and parking can be but tricky as well. You won’t be disappointed with your overall experience! Ida Clare this was a fun place to come. (Pun intended) ;)

Google
My first time here and was a bit disappointed their French press was out but they at least had regular coffee and tea available. I had a cranberry mimosa which was crisp and refreshing and I ate their chicken and waffles. The seasoned fried tenders paired perfectly with the gravy and the sweet waffles and syrup complimented the tenders. The service along with the calming atmosphere made it a great choice to enjoy great food and drinks.

Very quaint, rustic, lively environment. This was our first time and we were met with very warm hospitality. Had to wait a bit for the food, which is understandable because it was so yummy. I had steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce. The steak's flavor exuded a firewood taste which was a most welcomed dance on my palate. My son had a burger that was devoured in seconds and my partner had the fried chicken which I stole most of it. I highly recommend this spot. It's affordable, warm and inviting, not to mention how delicious the food is.

Google
My daughter had her graduation here because of the vegan options. We loved the rustic shabby chic look and it was easy to decorate with some Amazon finds. Slightly pricey but it is worth it! The food is amazing, the service outstanding. Waiters calling you by name hits! Highly recommend!

Google
Very interesting eclectic place! Unique options. We tried the sampler. Biscuits - very good, crusty outside and light inside. Pimento cheese dip n chips - very tasty. Fried green tomatoes - good, good crust. Gochujang cauliflower - excellent! Entrées were all great. Burger ...soft bun, flavorful and juicy. Croque Monsieur. Chicken n Waffles - beautiful and very tasty. Seafood pasta ....so good! Blackened Redfish ...so delicious. Banana bread French toast! Very tender and good. We tried the cobbler and cherry pie. I enjoyed the cobbler more than the cherry pie. For me, the cherries were over powered by the spices and the crust needed a little more flake to it. Just for my taste. The others at my table loved it! All in all ....a very wonderful experience. I'd love to go back and try more!

Google
Great freshly made food. The berry biscuits were tasty and warm. The French pressed coffee was rich in flavor. The quiche was perfectly made and the salad completed the serving well. The Proud Mary drink was well made. Definitely will come back.

Great New Breakfast Option! Ida Claire now serves breakfast from 8 to 11 AM during the week, and it's absolutely worth checking out. We went early in the morning and it was surprisingly quiet, which made for a relaxing start to the day. You can see the chefs prepping in their open kitchen layout which it adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. I tried the lemon poppyseed pancakes and they were amazing! They were fluffy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. I also had the "Ida Claire Breakfast" which came with eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and a slice of banana bread. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. They had a few drink specials going on, but I went for the hangover mocktail and it was so refreshing for a perfect non-alcoholic option for the morning. Definitely give their breakfast a try. It’s a hidden gem right now, but probably won’t stay quiet for long!

Yelp
A little over a year ago, I came here for dinner which left much to be desired. I was told brunch was better so I gave it a second chance. We came on a busy Saturday afternoon. Parking was scarce so I would make sure you arrive a few minutes prior to your reservation so you can secure a spot. We were seated a few minutes after checking in and then immediately greeted by our waiter, Zach. Zach was very informative about the menu and gave amazing recommendations (ex: adding and egg to the shrimp and grits). I was hesitant to get the steak and eggs because the old photo online didn't look very appetizing but he reassured me that the menu is updated yearly and the dish has greatly improved. As a coconut water lover, I had to try the hangover cure which was fresh and delicious. It was quite sweet so I added a little water to balance it out. The blueberry biscuit took me back to NC. They reminded me of an upgraded version of Bojangles Bo'berry biscuits. Delish! Lastly the steak and eggs were amazing. Steak was well cooked and seasoned. Grits were very decedent and creamy topped with goat cheese. Of course, the sunny side eggs were great too. This time, I did not experience any problems with long waits for my food or service. The restaurant was very clean and the music was at a decent volume. I highly recommend checking Ida Claire out for brunch.

Yelp
I've always heard about this place and was excited to try it. The decor was very different, cute in a quirky kinda way. The customer service was great. Our waitress was all smiles and bee very polite. she made some recommendations. most of the time I lean to the waiter/escorted recommendation of I don't already have something in mind. The presentation was great, however I was not impressed with the food. I got ribs abs cornbread . The ribs lacked seasoning and it was tough, the cornbread was so bland. I really wanted to love it but I had a few bites and didn't even bother to take a to go plate. I'm open to trying the restaurant again, hoping for a different result.
google avatar

Taeisha W.

Yelp
Have been twice before in the past, but this third and most recent trip was severely disappointing. Food was unfortunately cold and felt rushed even though the restaurant was almost empty. The jalepeno cornbread roll that came with the ribs wasn't warmed, so we sent it back to get another, and we didn't get a hot towel (to clean our hands) for the ribs like we've received in the past. Crab cake was full of sooo many breadcrumbs - I've had crab cake with breadcrumbs before but this was excessive. For $20, and with the size that it is, it should be made with way less filler. Shrimp and crab roll flavor was good but too much mayo, maybe hiding the fact that it's not as much shrimp and crab as you'd expect. I sat in the booths by the bathrooms and we were completely swarmed by gnats in that corner. Overall we probably won't be back any longer - i left really upset because i used to love this place.

Yelp
Ida Claire never disappoints! First, make sure you have a reservation, because this restaurant is so good that it is always busy. Parking can be a little tricky, but you will find a spot, note: there is no valet. They have a beautiful patio for the cooler days, and you can even bring your puppies (Love that!) The have a bar, tables and high top tables, and the kitchen is open, so you can see the kitchen action. The food is definitely Southern Comfort Food, with biscuits made from scratch to chicken and waffles, everything feels like home. Their cocktail list has something for everyone. Our server was nice. Come and enjoy delicious food and have a great time!

Yelp
When in San Antonio I try to visit family. Today I met my eldest brother for brunch at Ida Claire in the Quarry. My brother ordered the breakfast plate (bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and banana bread) and I ordered shareable biscuits (6 small biscuits) and Parmesan grits. We were both very pleased with our meals. My brother thought his eggs were soft scrambled perfectly, and bacon crisp and flavorful. His banana bread was delicious and flavorful as he shared some with me. He also commented how well seasoned the hash browns were cooked. My biscuits (only had two) were buttery and flaky...so delicious. They came with gravy, butter and strawberry jelly. My Parmesan grits were grainy and substantial with the Parmesan cheese giving a balanced flavor. One word for Ida Claire's is ecclectic - from table dividers with interesting statements and ceiling art and mirrors to plate walls to interesting wall art. You could actually experience sensory overload, in the most pleasant way. Alex, general manager, came over to check on us. This interaction was welcomed and appreciated. We were very fortunate to have Jack as our server. He was accommodating and attentive. He suggestions were spot on. My brother and I had not been to Ida Claire before today. However, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Stopped in for another yummy lunch! My husband got a cup of gumbo and the double cheese burger with fries.. He really enjoyed it. The fries are cooked in tallow . I ordered the Mediterranean Shrimp salad. I loved it. Excellent flavor and perfect size Lefts not forget about jalapeno margaritas
google avatar

Yelp
Ida Claire is very popular brunch spot and it has a good menu for about every tastebud. The restaurant is good stopping place from the Quarry shopping. The parking is not the best because it is shared from a couple of restaurants; just a couple things to keep in mind! Food wise, plates are large and have that southern comfort. A point discount for the prices and the flavor. I feel like there is a premium for the location which is pretty good for a meetup and well decorated, although a bit busy on the decor for my taste. Flavor on the food is inconsistent. I usually opt for the salads. Happy Hour always has a great deal on the drinks though! I don't have any photos remarkably. I come here a few times a year (and still will), but usually to meet clients or with visitors.

Yelp
I have now been here a handful of times and I absolutely love this restaurant! The southern influence and their scratch kitchen makes this place so sought after! Every time I come it's a packed house, I love love love the aesthetic and ambiance and I truly appreciate the great customer service too! Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious and even my (picky) mother Iaw enjoyed her experience here and gave kudos to the food! Lol. Looking forward to my next visit and I recommend you, reading this to stop by and try it! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Cute establishment with a southern flair. Both food and service were great! We ordered the sampler, salmon, chicken tenders, duck nachos, beef ribs, pork chop and shrimp and grits. Portions were plentiful and delish. Would definitely go again.
google avatar

Carmen P.

Yelp
Good Southern brunch! Biscuits, chicken tenders, potato hash! Everything and more! It's definitely heavy and you'll want to take a nap afterwards. Our waitress was sweet, patient and gave us her recommendations! Music was low enough to hear but not loud at all. It was perfect! They have great coffee as well! Will be visiting soon!
google avatar

Yelp
We went early. It was very nice & quiet, and we had a beautiful spot in the breezeway all to ourselves. They were still prepping, so service was kindof slow, but very friendly. The burrito got a thumbs up, my sausage hash with hollandaise sauce was delish, but the lemon poppyseed pancakes with blueberry compote.. O!M!G! I highly recommend trying those if you need to remember that there are wonderful things in life.

Yelp
My husband and I love Ida Claire! We've been here several times, most recently on my birthday. It is a cozy atmosphere that's eclectic and fun to feast on with your eyes, not just your stomach. I recently had a lavender cocktail, which was delightful. Their ribs and cornbread is off the chain! So good. The service has always been good. No complaints there. When I have people come to town, I will often come here with them because of the area and the restaurant itself. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's just a really cool place to eat with delicious southern food!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. This was a special outing as it was my wife and my anniversary. This was denoted on the reservation, but no one mentioned anything. No big deal as we weren't expecting anything other than quality time together over a delicious meal- which we got. However pointing it out because if you are there for a special occasion is asked when using Open Table. Now on the important part- the absolutely delectable food served up at Ida Claire! We arrived with about 39 minutes left of happy hour, started with a couple of drinks- a beer for me and an old fashioned for the wife. We also got the Boudin Balls appetizer off the happy hour menu. Note: the happy hour menu had featured apps (like the boudin balls) that were not on the regular menu. The Boudin Balls were absolutely delicious (and filling). They had way more meat in the meat/rice ratio to most Boudin that I've ever had. The meat was flavorful and tender. The batter was thick and crunchy which blended nicely with the tender meat/rice and the dipping sauce (presumably remoulade) was the perfect accompaniment. Although we did not need it, we also ordered "THE crab cake" appetizer off the dinner menu. We understood the emphasis on THE after tasting this delicacy. It was filled with tender crabmeat, subtle lemon dill sauce, microgreens, and a delicate crust. It was just an exquisite bite. We finished it and took home 3 of 5 Boudin Balls (which were just as amazing reheated). For entrees, my wife ordered the seafood pasta, which had a nice (and appropriate level) of of spice with a delicately mild flavor, lots of meat- shrimp, scallops, and crayfish/langostinos. I got Ida's fried chicken, which came with an amazing pimento Mac n cheese. The chicken itself was crispy batter fried. Amazing flavor and absolutely perfectly fried. Finally for dessert, we ordered the Vice Cake, which turned out to be the ideal closer to a great anniversary meal. It looked dense but was not. The layers nicely complimented each other in richness and lightness. Topped with a slice of the candied bacon, which if you added a piece to each bite made for an absolutely exquisite sweet-savory profile that made you close your eyes and just savor its essence. Don't let "tobacco syrup" in the description scare you- we weren't sure what it was or where it was in the finished product, but it didn't matter as the cake was excellent. All in all an outstanding eatery. After talking to our wonderful waitress who told us about their Brunch menu...we have made plans to return for brunch over the upcoming Christmas holidays. I declare that Ida Claire is THE culinary gem of The Quarry...you must go!!!

Yelp
5 Stars - Appetizers/Entrees/Service 1 Star - Desserts 0 Star - Ambience The Good The friend green tomatoes were outstanding. Crispy and perfect! Hands down a good dish. The double cheeseburger was delicious with a hint of flame charring. Along with the fries fried in beef fat! The fish and blackened shrimp were also wonderful. Good value and taste. The Bad The cherry pie was soggy. I mean soggy. Most of the bottom "crust" was just mush. There was an unidentifiable chemical taste to the cherry pie filling. The strawberry and cranberry cobbler was ok at best. The desserts were, by far the low point of the meal. Finally...The Horrible There's a reason why QUALITY restaurants use UNSCENTED candles!!!! Adding fake scent to the air, alters the flavor you taste in your mouth. YOU KNOW, the real reason people go to a restaurant...to EAT! The rancid, stinking, scented candles are so nasty, they belong in a sorority girl's dorm right next to ten empty bottles of vanilla body spray. The stink from those candles might as well scream, "I'm a 20 something who has never eaten anywhere nicer than Chili's." It stinks!!! It STINKS! On par with the white girl's trashy need to make everything scented, the candles they have in the restaurant are identical to the ones in The Washtub, where I get my car washed!!! Whoever made the choice to do that in a restaurant needs to be thrown out on her butt! It's been almost an hour and my clothes still smell like those rank candles!!!

Yelp
Attended a work event here in their cute high top bar area for happy hour and dinner. I love the way this place feels. It's decorated really rustic and cute and the vibe is mellow and trendy. Clearly others like it as well because when we left around 9, the place was packed! Our servers were very attentive and helpful when deciding our drink orders, and the food was so flavorful! I had the redfish with crab on top and my coworker had the crab cake. Both were absolutely delicious. When I come back to San Antonio, I will definitely make sure to stop by here again! Great experience!

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Parking can be quite difficult during busy hours. Do not get towed by parking at the Grove Hill shopping center aesthetic is awesome, the outside is really cool when it's not too hot to sit out there and the food is amazing. They have some gluten-free options, but make sure you tell them about your allergy as from my experience there seem to have maybe been some cross contamination. The cobbish salad and sausage were great. The two times I've been here is taking longer than expected to get our meals and bill. It is so quite loud and difficult to have conversation sometimes. None of this is preventing me from going back though! Great food all around.

Yelp
We visited on a Sunday morning after leaving our downtown hotel. There was no wait for 2 people. We ordered chicken n waffles and the biscuit appetizer. The chicken had a ton of flavor and we took home the leftovers. The waffles were just ok. Not much flavor. The syrup was also a little odd. It was coffee infused. We aren't coffee people. The biscuits and the accompanying jam was delicious.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my sons graduation from A school over at fort sam houston. This place was highly recommended. We made reservations but had to change the time a few times and it was super easy on a Monday night. The location is super cute and the staff is very friendly. For our table we ordered the double cheeseburger, rockfish, duck nachos and steal noodle salad. For drinks we had a couple pink ladies and water. The duck nachos were unique and pretty good. Not the best I've had but fun to try. The experience of having the server pour over the gravy and cut up the egg was fun. The steak on my salad was pretty rare, but it wasnt seasoned and just didnt taste good. The rockfish was supposed to be the best thing on the menu but it was just ok- my parents both agreed that the fish was mushy. The burger was pretty good. The pink lady drink was very cute but i didn't really enjoy it. It was too sweet and tart at the same time. We also tried the vice cake. I did not think it sounded good but it actually was!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely a different experience. Attentive staff. Very courteous and accommodating. Food was great. It really always is but great service makes the whole time spent enjoyable.

Yelp
Amazing find in the San Antonio area. Food is cooked to perfection, and the waitstaff is extremely knowledgeable about their menu. Check them out!

Yelp
Went on a whim the other day for a weekend dinner. The place was surprisingly not as packed as I remember it being a couple years back. There was no wait for a Saturday night! I will say the hosts at the front did not greet us. We stood awkwardly while they discussed the plan for section seating.. that was a little weird esp too bc if you know the set up you essentialy walk right in the the greeter is there with the door directly behind you and people are trying to come in and out LOL My husband and I ordered the crab cake and then split pork chop plate. The food was great! My wine glass was a little crusty feeling bc I think some used it for a mimosa earlier that day and the dishwasher didn't quite get the gritty-ness off it. I didn't complain about this but it was a little annoying. Also that's e were told their were heaters outside and there were... but no effort to actually use them. Also, we ordered fries with our meat and it came out before we even got the appetizer (crab cakes). That was very awkward bc the food runner came out, mumbled something I couldn't understand and ran away lol. The waiter did make up for it and brought more fries with our dinner that was much appreciated. Btw the Tallow Fries are very good! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Really enjoyed him! For the whole experience though, I'm not sure we will be back.

Yelp
Went in for dinner. Ida Claire is a Favorite for sure! I was able to catch happy hour so I ordered a few appetizers. Would definitely recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with friends on a Monday night. Beautiful exterior and quaint interior. We sat inside though because it was hot/humid outside. Their menus were so well designed as you can see from the photos. The cocktail menu has 3 different sections to include sweet, spirit forward and refreshing. We chose refreshers given the weather, and they did not disappoint. They cool you down and get you buzzed at the same time. We got the duck nachos as an app. They were generous with the duck and it was cooked super tender. Something about the duck fat enhanced the flavor of the nachos. For entrees we got the fish. Salmon was cooked perfectly medium with a pink center and melted in my mouth. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the snapper. She did not leave anything on the plate. Service was super quick and friendly. Caitlyn checked on us the entire time and put up with my sass. Ida Claire this rating a 5. They are more known for their brunch, so we will come back to check it out in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Coming in I was a smidge worried about Ida Claire simply because nothing has ever survived that spot. However I was pleasantly surprised! This place not only carries my moms name but also has fantastic food. The fried green tomatoes were perfection. I loved this place.
google avatar

Yelp
We finally got to try this place! Made reservations through Open Table. We all enjoyed the French Toast and everyone thinks the coffee-infused syrup made it super good! My brother didnt find anything special with the chicken and waffles, same with the shrimp and grits - which I find the cajun seasoning a bit much for my liking. The chicken with Ida's chicken was huge and moist inside even up until the next day! My son enjoyed the sweet potato fries, it was crispy! The place is huge, and it can get loud, my son felt like he had to raise his voice a bit when talking to someone across the table. Love the place though!
google avatar

Stephy B.

Yelp
Very packed but they do have lots of room. The food was good, besides, they ran out of cinnamon rolls I had the brunch country breakfast. There were a few little gnats that kept flying around our tables. That's the only bad thing. Not a whole Lotta parking either
google avatar

Raelee J.

Yelp
What a gem! Such a cool restaurant with great seating both indoors and outdoors. Our waitress was very sweet, and made sure to ask the kitchen questions regarding my friend's dietary restrictions. The food itself was great as well! Everything is made in house (including condiments!) and you can tell. Very fresh and delicious. I would love to come back!!

Yelp

Yelp
Every time we go to, I declare we come out of the restaurant stuffed and happy! The food is delicious and the options are varied for your entire party. We always start with the biscuits because they are delicious and then move onto several of our either breakfast entrées favorites or our all-time favorite of fried chicken. There's so many options to try and did I mention their drinks! The service is impeccable and they should really take care of you. The restaurant can be a little bit loud sometimes but otherwise it's a really cool place and the decoration of the entire restaurant is really cool. We've been there many times and brought many of our friends who have visited San Antonio. We will be back again and again.

Yelp
It was really good. Had the mocktail as well. It was lemonade strawberry and guava. The hot honey chicken had a kick to it but really tasty. I had a taste of chocolate cake and the hummingbird as well. They were really tasty

Yelp
A new take on southern style food that is exceptional. The service is wonderful and very attentive and helpful. The whole atmosphere is great and very comfy feeling. The Nashville chicken, the waffles and everything else was very tasty and well worth the visit!

Yelp
I visited Ida Claire with a large group of my friends for a birthday recently and had an okay experience. I personally had the *Chicken Fried Ribeye and wished it had more sauce, otherwise it didn't have much flavor without it. My favorite appetizer was the *Crawfish Corn Fritters as it had the most flavor and reminded me of hush puppies. 2 of my friends ordered the *Ida Fried Chicken and it came out very undercooked. BOTH chicken plates were pink on the inside which was unacceptable. Both dishes were sent back to the kitchen but it did take over 30 minutes for us to get new ones, so we just had to get it to-go as everyone else already finished their food. Our server did comp the undercooked chicken which I appreciated. Service made up for the food and our server even gave the birthday girl a signed card from the Ida Claire staff. I do think Ida Claire is worth a try once but I personally would go somewhere else when paying this price point for okay food.

Yelp
Went here for a brunch & it was perfect! Very cute girly spot, I would definitely recommend getting a reservation because it is pretty busy. They have a ton of options for coffee, and brunch! I loved the scramble bowl that I had!

Yelp
Loved it. Six of us dined here tonight (Saturday). One couple had been here before and it was a first for us and another couple. We had 4 pm reservations to ensure we could get in. We got seated right away, near the kitchen. Water and menus came right away and a moment later, our server, Valeria was came by. She was very good good to us. She really knew the food, was quite helpful and checked in with us often. To summarize the meal... Pre-dinner cocktails: Cosmo, White Wine, Thrice OldFashioned and a beer. All were great. Appetizers... Two of their Lazy Susan variety platters. A lot of very tasty items and dips. Meals... Three rib dinners Chicken and Waffles Blackened Red Fish The meals were very good. Near the end of the meal, one of our group mentioned that her ribs were black and crispy at one end. Poor thing - wish she would have let me know early on. So one order of charred ribs was the only miss. The rest of the meals were very good as was the service. We'd come back to Ida Claire.

Yelp
The food is amazing as always . Chicken and waffles are delicious and service has always been great. The ambiance of the restaurant and table setting is also a plus .

Yelp
Ida Claire has been on my list of places to try for quite some time. A few days ago, my wife and I (both on leave following the birth of our son) decided on lunch here. It was a beautiful late February day, with temperatures in the mid 70s. We opted to eat outside. Although we were waited on promptly, our experience was less than satisfactory. As an appetizer, we had the hummus... Which was good, but not outstanding. Entree orders: my wife ordered gumbo, and a side of brussels sprouts. I ordered half chicken, and a side of gumbo. 10 to 15 minutes after we placed our order... Our waiter came by the table and just happened to repeat our order to us, and it was incorrect. Bottom line: we waited way too long for simple menu items. We gave the benefit of the doubt, but as we left I went inside for the bathroom and saw the restaurant only 1/4 full. There is absolutely no reason our simple orders should have taken as long as they did. To top it off, the patio area has a real issue with bees. There were everywhere. Now, that's not entirely the restaurant's fault, but waiting for it for that long in an arguable swarm of bees was unpleasant. I mean, did they have to go to the store for my wife's brussel sprouts? Or kill and de-feather the chicken? I don't think I've ever eaten that fast to get out of somewhere in my life...and I eat fast. Couldn't enjoy the food because we just wanted outta there. Not going back.

Food is good until you find hair in it. Food prep staff dont wear hair nets or anything, so take that into account while eating. Staff removed the meal from my ticket, very generous of them to do so Bartenders are good, wait staff is good

Yelp
I love this restaurant always feels like a great environment and a good places to spend time with friends and chat it up. I had idas biscuits, lemon poppyseed pancakes, and chicken and waffles. It was a beautiful meal I recommend trying the biscuits as a shareable. Great delicious flavor I didn't enjoy the gravy but the country butter and jam was a hit! As for the lemon poppyseed pancakes- it was my first time having them and it didn't really meet my expectations. I personally like my pancakes super sweet and this one was lacking that extra flavor I couldn't really taste much on it but it was still cooked perfect and fluffy. The chicken waffles was also a good meal the chicken cooked perfect and juicy as always. Thank you a great meal can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
I have been for their brunch when they first opened which was great, but oh man, the dinner is amazing! I went with a group of friends and we had several appetizers, cocktails and different meals and tried each others. Every order was out of this world fresh and bursting with flavor! Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was so fantastic and attentive and sweet. I need to come out here more often, even though it's a drive.

Yelp
Food was great the biscuits with jam, honey butter, and gravy were amazing. We got the hot chicken sandwich and chicken & waffles as well. The sandwich got soggy quick but flavors were balanced. The chicken and waffles tasted great had a hint of cinnamon. Only con was the little gnats and table being too tall for the chair. The food is worth the visit and I hope this helps. Service was great friendly waiter and solid service.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place. The happy hour is incredible. I've gone and gotten only happy hour bites and appetizers and was full and happy. I seriously want to try everything on their menu. My favorites have been the fried chicken and pimento Mac and cheese and the mini biscuits. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
Don't know how this place has good reviews. Place was almost empty as we arrived at 5. So, one would expect excellent service and piping hot food. WRONG. We had the biscuit appetizer. The biscuits were hard and cold. yuck. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It arrived at room temperature/cold. My son's hamburger and fries were also cold. I would have sent these items back but we were with family and were headed to a movie. My wife's blueberry pancakes were a tiny bit spicy. We asked our server amd she said they add some of their own seating to the blueberry and their seasoning has some cayenne pepper in it. Very disappointing when you drop $100 for 3 people.

Yelp
The proper response from a restaurant after a customer has reported getting food poisoning is an apology. Not instructing me that I must be wrong about what caused it. I'm a 51-year-old adult, educated woman who has quite capable of determining what caused my sickness. Nothing else ordered on the table made anyone else sick and the ribs were the only thing consumed by myself. It's not rocket science. Plus they were disgusting. Anyway you should take them off.

Yelp
A friend recommended this restaurant. Finally came to try it. I think all their food is homemade. Don't quote me on that though bc I don't remember. Food looked really good but, I'm not a breakfast person. Although, my husband is. His tacos looked really good. He really enjoyed them. All I ordered were was biscuits with homemade strawberry jam. Biscuits and jam were really good. Our server said that they have French toast and waffles or pancakes only on Saturdays and Sundays. Service was great. The inside of the restaurant was really cute as well as the exterior. My husband read somewhere on the inside that they have movie nights out on the patio area. Might come back on a Saturday to try their French toast.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot!!! The drinks were amazing, I wasn't too impressed with the shrimp in grits, But the fried green tomatoes were amazing! I would definitely go back to try something else!

Yelp
This is a very cool spot in The Quarry. I gave this visit a 3 star but it doesn't necessarily have to do with the quality of the food but rather from a few small items that added up. Being that it was Father's Day we knew they would be crazy busy. But, with our reservation we got in right on time so it was a good start. Our waitress and the staff were very attentive throughout the meal. The first ding was the seating. The spot I sat in had an air conditioning duct directly over my head and as soon as I sat down it was dripping on my head. Not a big problem, I just shifted seats and let the staff know. Although the Mgr did come by and wipe down the opening and stated they knew that was an issue The second ding was when we got coffee, they served it to us in to go cups because they had used all the regular coffee cups during the morning. Mind you, we got there at 10:15am. Supposedly they'd bring us regular cups in a few minutes and never did. The 3rd ding was when I got my dish the breakfast potatoes were cold and the Chicken Fried Ribeye didn't have any of the "black pepper gravy" on the Ribeye. It was delicious but missing the gravy and the cold potatoes kind of put a damper on the meal. The actual highlight was the Pull apart Blueberry Biscuits as well as the cheese grits. I didn't make a big deal of it and I'll definitely give them another chance as I will chalk it up to maybe they were a little overwhelmed.

Yelp
We had a great experience here for breakfast! The avacado toast was yummy and the coffee was also great! Service was quick and people there were nice and helpful!
