I was blown away by the artistic dishes that perfectly match the atmosphere of the Museum of Islamic Art. Huge thanks for this unforgettable meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant with locations in more than 30 countries around the world. On the ground floor, the host gave me a warm welcome and the moment I stepped inside, the stunning Doha skyline came into view. The carpets are decorated with Arabic letters and even each chair has a different Arabic character such a stylish touch. The staff asked me to choose my own water glasses and all of them were one of a kind Baccarat pieces. Every design was beautiful so it was hard to decide. The tableware is by the classic French brand J.L. Coquet pearl-white plates that made every dish look even more special. From appetizers to dessert, the staff explained each dish carefully and I can really feel the chef’s passion in every bite. The manager, Mr. Sayed Mohamed came to chat with me both before and after the meal and kindly answered all my questions. He’s a true professional with experience in Monaco, yet so friendly and approachable. Everything about Idam — the food, the service, and the atmosphere — made it an unforgettable experience. Next time, I definitely want to try the full dinner course.

The sardine course is a study in restraint and intention. Through vinegar curing, gentle surface cooking, and a disciplined layering of spice, the kitchen transforms a humble, assertive fish into something articulate and expansive. The trilogy of preparations—crispy rice with bitter liver pâté, smoked dried sardine rehydrated with crustacean stock—unfolds like variations on a single marine theme. It is bold, but never loud. Equally memorable is the lemon cream pairing served alongside the vegetable course. While the plate itself functions as a transitional gesture, the beverage reframes the experience entirely. Its clarity of citrus, rounded by cream, evokes both freshness and comfor.

IDAM, Doha's "Weekend Sunset Tea" experience at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) was a real treat! Located on the fifth floor, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Doha skyline while indulging in a French-Arabic fusion menu. The restaurant, designed by Philippe Starck, boasts luxurious decor with a black carpet, white calligraphy, and Baccarat crystal. It's a popular spot for a tranquil afternoon enjoyment particularly as the sun sets in the foreground!

We had an exceptional dining experience at IDAM in the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. The atmosphere is truly unique modern, elegant, and complemented by a breathtaking view of the Doha skyline. The food was Outstanding and the service was extremely attentive and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the very first moment. A visit to IDAM is an experience in itself and highly recommended both for its culinary excellence and its remarkable ambiance. We would gladly return!

What an event, amazing food paired with very interesting cocktails, we especially liked the elderflower take on sparkling wine. The tour of the kitchen by the head chef after the main course made it an even more special night. The attentive service was not intrusive and extremely professional. Before dinner or lunch I would also recommend exploring the Museum of Islamic Art where the Idam is situated. A great way to build an appetite, you will need it..

We had an amazing experience here on our final night in Doha on a stopover. We enjoyed the seven course tasting menu with the langoustine and lamb being particular favourites. The menu was truly top class but it was the extra touches that made the experience memorable-the water glass feature, the butter mounds and extra treats throughout the meal and the biscuit box and menu to take home! We also had the ‘mocktail’ pairing which was thoughtfully matched to each course. A final appreciated touch was the invitation to tour the kitchen and meet the head chef and his colleagues and enjoy an added extra taste prepared in front of us. All staff were amazing but special mention to Shahid who made our experience even better with his attention to detail and his gentle humour. We booked tickets for the last hour at the museum and then travelled up to the restaurant as it closed. All in all a magical evening!

The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff are all very professional. Thank you to the manager for the explanation. In addition to the food, I also learned a lot about the restaurant design! It was a great experience. Thank you to everyone in the restaurant!

The most amazing and generous fine dining experience. Lots of treats and surprises before the main meals and afterwards. Excellent food. The beetroot and langoustines were favourites. Genuine, attentive, white-glove level service from the full team. Service was obviously formal and elevated but so warm and unfussy at the same time. Great views. Beautiful details in the decor (inscriptions on the chairs and the beautiful rug). Beautiful bespoke glasses. Overall, I highly recommend IDAM. As someone who enjoys fine dining, IDAM is a cut above. The experience is designed to blow you away. And they succeed.
