The blackened spicy chicken was delicious, fresh and juicy’ It also had avocados Chipotle kinda sauce which was so good! The potato tots was crispy’ enjoyed the quick dinner here!

Nice space. I liked the decor. The prices are good. Their Happy Hour starts at 12pm. Even if you get something not included in HH, the prices are still good. They have a Patio but it wasn't Patio weather yet. I had the Fried Calamari, it was okay. The service is good. I might come back when it's Patio weather.

Ida's is a great local neighborhood spot and they know what they're doing here. I came through a few times and it's a cool spot to be at. It's kind of gives the "How I Met Your Mother" bar vibe, if you've ever seen that show. There is a shaded outside garden in the back so you can have a choice whether to be in or outside. I personally prefer inside because you can get a little lost with the service outside. Drinks are pretty good and the food is standard American. They serve food pretty late so if you want a late(r) night snack, the food's pretty solid. The staff is cool and friendly and the decor is pretty cool. The expresso martinis here are exceptionally GREAT! Note: There is no TV inside so if you're coming in to watch a game, this may not be the spot you want to go to. If however you just wanna chill at a spot with cool ambiance and not too loud where you can talk with your friends, this is a great go-to. Tip: There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom upstairs and a few more downstairs!

Lively local bar with chill atmosphere and friendly crowd. Srating extends to the back patio, partially covered, even with some rain. Waitress service was attentive and friendly, the bar got busy as the evening continued, the menu is bar food, so as expected, is very greasy. The tator tots are spot on, that's what I'd stick to (would skip the lamb burger, popcorn chicken and grilled cheese). Enjoy the vibes, we'll be back!

Having visited this establishment for the first time, I observed a rather subdued atmosphere. The absence of a warm greeting or guidance regarding seating from the server/bartender was noticeable. It appeared he was managing the lunch service alone on August 5th, 2025. The server's demeanor was somewhat unwelcoming. I inquired about the chicken in the Caesar salad, specifically whether it was served warm, as is common in many establishments. His response, delivered with a hint of sarcasm, indicated it was grilled. Although I considered leaving, my husband's hunger prompted us to stay. While we had initially planned to order drinks, I ultimately decided against it. The food itself was quite enjoyable, but the customer service left much to be desired.

Ida's has a great atmosphere of your looking to just talk to people. I've gone there many times and just struck up conversations. The bartenders are attentive while being friendly and the food has always been delicious.

Ida's Nearabout is a local bar in Sunnyside that to be honest, does have really great bartenders but the drinks & ambiance are really lacking. For drinks, I got the "get in the ring" cocktail which tasted quite odd- I haven't tried jalepeño-infused tequila before that & I have about zero intentions to try it again afterwards. Also, I don't care if it's a dive bar or a fancy cocktail lounge- the bare minimum is to have a clean bathroom. If neither of the bathrooms in the basement are clean...I mean, just no. Don't want hygiene to be a concern for post-work drinks.

Standard bar ambiance, the outside is a nice vibe - clean & comforting. The server was super busy but still made it work so shoutout to him. The chicken tenders , burger, French fries, and mac & cheese were all good - we didn't leave disappointed. Also, the Bloody Mary was fireeeee!! One of my favorite bars in Sunnyside. The bartenders make some excellent cocktails and they're all reasonably priced. The vibe is intimate and cozy. They also have a great menu. I really like the burger there. This is a repeat place for me.

Service is great, they leave you alone and let you spend your time at your table which is wonderful. Went with my friend tonight she had the froze which is frozen rosé and fresh watermelon. Unbelievably delicious. I had the grandma Ida martini with blue cheese, stuffed olives. They were so good I had two. Best martini in a long time. We shared their homemade onion rings, which were spectacular. The crunch is out of this world. I did not care for the Sriracha mayo on the side. We then shared a Caesar salad, which was delicious lightly dressed and flavorful. And we shared a steak sandwich. The bread was terrific. The steak was slightly chewy in a few spots so was not overall the best steak sandwich I ever had. The menu looks great, especially for burgers and we would come back to try other things.

I came here for brunch with my friends on a Saturday right when they opened at 11! The server was very kind and made us delicious drinks - we had Palomas and Prosecco. We each enjoyed our meals - I tried the fried chicken sandwich ( small but tasty) and my friends had a beyond in - n-out burger and a BaconEggAndChesse on a croissant. We all enjoyed the fries and jalapeño mayo dip. We evolved the comfortable booth to hang out a leisurely enjoy brunch. I would definitely return to this spot the next time I'm in Queens.

This place is amazing. I secretly wish I could live here and just camp out in one the booths or maybe in the back garden. I've been here for dinner, brunch, and just drinks, and it's a great experience every time. The folks who work here are very friendly and hilarious, and the food is delicious. Their eggs Benedict are made with Irish bacon and could be the best I've ever tasted. And they have tater tots. :)

Top notch food and drinks. The crispy brussel sprouts, shishito peppers, buffalo cauliflower - literally all the small plates are delish. My partner enjoyed the In N Out burger and I think they have one of the better veggie burgers out there. Great spot with lots of options for vegetarians! My partner and I have also gone for brunch. He loved the Irish breakfast and I thought the BEC croissant sandwich was delectable. We've enjoyed all the cocktails we've had there. I can't name which, but all were delish. You can't go wrong.

Was really excited to try this place with a few coworkers, got there on a Friday night and the place was closed for a private event even though it looked completely empty

3 years later this spot is still one of my favorites in the neighborhood! Staff are always warm and welcoming. Cute outdoor patio the warmer months. Food is delicious and I love the variety of cocktails and draft beer. I love the changing hats and fits on Ida (one of my favorites is her summer bucket hat).

I was at this place yesterday, and the services was excellent. We ordered popcorn chicken and some fried calamari with some drinks (whiskey, Irish penicillin, frozen Irish coffee, frozen margaritas, and a beer), and it was all well made and delicious. The ambiance was quite nice as well. Ida's Nearabout is a bit small, but there's no shortage of seating at all. I'd happily come back again.

We came for brunch when we were visiting. Cute place in a great location. It was a nice day so we were able to enjoy our meal on the outdoor patio behind the restaurant. It was perfect and felt like a little break from being in the city. I had the avocado toast and my significant other had chicken and waffles. Nice sized portions and fresh ingredients made this the perfect meal.

Great brunch option in the neighborhood! The brunch menu is extensive, with many classic items as well as some non-brunch items like wings and chicken tenders. I'm picky about Irish breakfasts, and their Irish breakfast is hands down the best I've had in Woodside area in terms of taste, execution and portion. Brunch cocktails are reasonably priced ($10-$12). The overall place cozy and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable high top seats and booths available. Looking forward to coming back for brunch, other meals and also late night drinks!

if i could give this place 0 stars i would, bar service is horrible and douchey. the way the bartender spoke to my wife was inappropriate, he is either ecuadorian or peruvian or whatever. hope this place gets their liquor license revoked because of that douche, i wish i got his name. drinks are horrible, bartenders there don't know how to make a decent drink. horrible old fashioned and manhattan, espresso martini hella watery. the food is okay but overpriced. ida nearabout ? more like ida get the efff out.

Food is boring, service is good. drinks are inconsistent. Can't make a descent Old Fashion. One minute is great the next minute it's garbage. Overpriced for what you get. Better options.

Exceeded expectations!! Came for brunch. The fried pickles were some of the best fried pickle chips I've ever had, the breading stuck to it in the right way and had a nice crisp. The chicken and waffles was satisfying but I wish had some hot honey or something with a kick. The tots were as advertised- they are tots, crispy and deliciosos. My least favorite item, regretfully, was the mac n cheese. Just not my preferred style, of oooey gooey cheese (like velveta maybe?), but maybe it will be your style! Worth giving them a visit when in the area.

I had lots of fun as this place and duling my famlily visited plus my friend bf is living near by. Thie place is very cool, has lots of space for 10 people plus group, I just enjoy with local place and this bar is one of the good place to hang out with,

There will never be enough room on any website or app where I could write enough about Ida's. When we moved to Sunnyside almost 6 years ago, Ida's quickly became our go to spot for brunch, dinner, get togethers and of course drinks. Linda and Gabriela are two of the best servers in Queens and we look forward to having them to chat with whenever we go there to eat. The drinks are well balanced and they have a lot of fun and classic options. Whether you beat inside the cozy restaurant or choose to sit on their very relaxing back patio you'll be comfortable and made to feel like family. Do not pass by this Sunnyside Crown Jewel!

What better way to celebrate a friends birthday then with an amazing brunch... A few cocktails... And of course a chill establishment. The food was great: ordered the breakfast burger. The service was terrific too. Loved the wolf decorating the bar.

It's a cute place and the staff is nice, but the brunch leave a lot to be desired. There was not a large enough selection for me to really find something.

I'm giving this place one star because of our experience with Eric M. the waiter who attended us today. We had been to this place with my family and the service was courteous . But Eric M. the bartender/waiter was rude and made it such an unpleasant lunch. What top it was not only his attitude, but when I ask for a food container to take my food he gave me a DIRTY food container. We are definitely not coming back to IDAS. The ambiance and food are great. But because of how careless he is and poor service we are not coming back .

The food is always so good here. Get the In n Out burger or the tater tots and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent neighborhood watering hole. Came In for a beer and stayed for some bar bites. Buffalo cauliflower (sauce on side) was crispy on the outside, al dente on the inside and delicious all over. The mozzarella sticks were perfectly fried, full of cheese and gigantic! Shishito peppers charred, spicy and generous. Great selection of beers and cocktails. Service is A++! Thank you Linda.

My friend and I came here for dinner one evening since we've been passing by the restaurant many times. We checked the menu and decided we would go with the bar food that day. We got a corner table by the window facing Queens Boulevard. We noticed a lot more tables outside in the garden in the back but our table was quite good. We were served by Eileen the waitress. She's nice and her recommendations were pretty accurate. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and I had a veggie burger. If you like veggie burger, this place kills it! One of the veggie burgers I've tried. My friend let me try her grilled cheese sandwich and that came out great too. I can't believe I didn't visit this place sooner. I'm not a big fan of the bar food but now that I know where to get a good one, I have a choice to come here. They make pretty good drinks too. Maybe because they put 2 good looking bartenders, all women think they make good drinks! Not fair! Not fair! I told my husband about this place. So maybe next time I'll come back with him. It's in the neighborhood anyway. I enjoyed the evening with a great friend, food and service. Great experience!

**Delivery Review** Wanted something quick and greasy for delivery on a Saturday evening. This spot was available on Uber Eats and had a low fee as well. Decided on the Mango Habanero Wings ($8) and split the Buffalo Cauliflower ($12) as well. Food arrives still warm and within the delivery window. Wings are six to and order and comes with a couple sticks of carrots/celery and dipping sauce. Overall the wings are slightly overcooked and the mango habanero flavor is very mild. Ranch dip helps a bit, but definitely disappointed. Buffalo cauliflower is much better; a large handful of evenly breaded pieces covered in spicy hot sauce. Hit or miss depending on what you order here. Would like to try the burgers next time.

Cool place for a relaxed drink. Ida's is on the rotation for Sunnyside social distancing drinks for me and my friend. We'll come here at least once a week and have always had a reasonably good time. Ida's has three parts, outside, inside, and back patio. The outside is ok, though small and shared (a bit) with the neighboring establishments. While I don't mind it, some folks might feel a certain way about being right on Queens Blvd. where cars aren't always driving as well as they should be. Quick note: you'll have to order food to stay; this is not just the new rules, but they've been doing it since before. The inside is off limits, obviously, and the back patio is nice. Decor (for the patio) is pleasant and comfortable. This is def where I prefer sitting. There are strings of small Edison-esque blubs. Quick note: Those blurbs sometimes flicker to the point where you think you're in a horror movie. I initially thought there was some type of fan that was blocking the lights a fast intervals with its spinning, but there's no fan, the lights just flicker. While I haven't really eaten here a ton, I've had their popcorn chicken and their mozzarella sticks. I'd go with the latter. Keeping Ida's in the rotation for now and looking forward to potentially enjoying the food beyond just apppetizers.

This is a fun local spot and they are open for brunch! We like to go here to get chicken and waffles and/or breakfast sandwiches, and it never disappoints. The menu is pretty limited, but the food is really good! They also have a decent sized outdoor area past the bar which is nice to sit in when the weather is warm.

Irish coffee. Period! Order it and thank me later lol. This place always has the best cocktails.

I always enjoy my visit to idas. Great vibe and love that's its somewhat low key enough to enjoy your meal with others. Great drink menu as well. My favorite is their fries and skillet Mac and cheese (not pictured here). I also recommend get in the ring cocktail - great kick to it.

I went there for a solo date and then I asked the lady to put me in a booth. We walk to the booth and then she makes a split second decision to put me in the back of the room near the kitchen. I did not like that at all. Food was regular American food with a few drinks. Total came out to be 50 ish for a meal, entree, and a drink. The service needs to be better. I did not like what happened because I was told that in case a large group came in they would have to move be, but no large group ever came.

I Had the mozzarella sticks and they were very good and filling.. perfect place and menu for sunnyside.. will be back soon.. excited about trying additional items..

Hands down: The BEST cocktail bar in Sunnyside (and Woodside and Astoria). Amazing drinks, fantastic bartender's, sweet server's, great food... What else can anyone ask for? This is one of my new favorite restaurants. The food is good, big portions, a lot of variety. Bartenders are friendly. Wine is delish. Go early if you can, as it gets packed. Also, the way the tables fit into the wall kind of limits your space to sit, so best get a spot at the bar.

Great cocktails here! Love the vibe, drinks, food, and staff. Such a nice neighborhood bar with outdoor seating in front as well as a cozy patio in the back.

Ida's is by far our neighborhood favorite. If you want a quick bite I recommend getting the burger and adding avocado. The staff here make you feel at home. I've never had a bad drink here or something that was over the top boozy. Their frose is great for the summer. Shane, Wes, Nicole (and Lorcan we miss you) will ALWAYS bring a smile to your face. Come to Ida's a few times and they will quickly become like family.

Maybe 4.5 stars. They have an interesting collection of cocktails and the food is decent. A cosy casual place that still feels a little chic and they have a nice outback patio. We keep coming back because it's one of the best cocktail spots in the neighborhood. Their old fashion, out to get me, night train, and my renee are all solid.

Not quite dive, not quite fancy. Somewhere in the middle. I guess they need to cover all bases since there aren't that many other bars in the area. Sure, it has the feel of an Irish pub, but they also have cocktails with fruit puree in them. And yes, they have a food menu, but it's bar food that's fancied up a bit. They also have taxidermied animals, which is apropos of nothing, but I just felt it was worth mentioning. Also a backyard!

I came here with a friend on a Friday night. The place had a nice crowd and the service was on point. I tried the breakfast old fashioned which was delicious. My friend and I shared the wings, pork buns and fried pickles. I really enjoyed everything but I probably could have done without the fried pickles since they weren't anything special and I found them a bit pricey. Overall this is a good addition to the neighborhood.

I'm so glad Ida's has been able to continue operation and adapt to these crazy times. This place is on rotation for us for drinks - spicy margarita and Texas flood is our go to! Keep in mind while the cocktails are to-go... you still have to order food. I recommend relaxing with a drink, some fries, and Buffalo cauliflower wings. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, wear masks, and provide hand sanitizer.

It's a nice, new spot in Sunnyside! It is definitely a fun place. Was looking for a spot to have snacks and this was it. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. There were a few times waiter/waitress stopped by to make sure we were taken care of. I loved the ambience except for the music (it would e been nice to hear each others conversation w/o shouting). Otherwise food was yummy and is def a spot to hit up if you're looking to try something new in Sunnyside.

This was my second visit here, I wanted to wit to write a review so I can try their food. The atmosphere is super cool, a very cool wolf just in the middle of the bar.. ( I wonder how much they cost!) They have an outdoor back yard seating which has fairy lights and stuff super cute for last stop for a date. Their cocktails are delicious! I got the cocktail that was made with jam and it was fabulous, the bartenders are nice and the servers are so sweet. I had the fried chicken sandwich and my friend had the burger, the food came out fast and it goes perfectly well with tons of beers they have on draft and bottles! I definitely recommend!

Ordered the "in and out" burger. Zero flavor. Bun was ginormous, while the patty was nearly nonexistent. "Special sauce" was far from special, it didn't have any flavor. Also ordered the buffalo popcorn chicken bites. $13....really should've been 7-$8...portion is tiny and they're like little turds. No crunch on them at all Overall very disappointing. Over priced, underwhelming. Will not be going back.

I've meant to update my review for some time now, as my more recent experiences here haven't been as pleasant as the first. To start, their cocktails are either weak or made with poor-quality liquor (and in the case of their margaritas, premade mix). Furthermore, their food isn't anything special and for the portion sizes, a bit expensive at that. The service is also hit or miss, and lately it has been miss. While I wouldn't go out of my way to return, I'd go again in the event that friends wanted to meet here.

Every thing you've heard is true. This is a gem of an establishment that focuses on good drinks good food and good vibes. It such a great effin bar that I came back the very next night! Come hungry and you'll be sure to stay well hydrated. Well done Wes and co. you've got yourself a new local regular.
